Absolutely love this! Would reccomend to anyone. I got this for my pregnant dog for when she has puppies I can watch them when I am away! Works perfectly!
Kam schnell an und war gut verpackt.
Hochwertige Kamera, ausgereiftes durchdachtes System, einfache Bedienung, gute FHD Bildqualitt.
Fazit: Hochwertige Kamera, ausgereiftes durchdachtes System, einfache Bedienung, gute FHD Bildqualitt.
Die Kamera arbeitet sparsam im Energieverbrauch.
Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
Because the camera sits at a very reasonable price point, it’s a strong option for greatly increasing your home security inexpensively – the picture, night vision, sound, and speaker all work well, and while the accompanying app isn’t perfect (for example, it was more difficult than I expected to make changes to the wifi connections the cameras were using and had to reset them to make it work smoothly), there are language issues with some of the FAQs, and there isn’t a clean way to register the products via the app, I’m satisfied with the performance of the cameras themselves. The setup was easy – I’ve done 2, with SD cards and solar panels, and I had fewer issues than with other smart devices. It’s too bad there isn’t a desktop app – everything seems to be done only via smartphone – but that’s not a huge problem unless you’re not adept at using smartphones (in which case you probably can’t use it anyway).
I was a little skeptical because of the price but it has better battery life than expected. My family sets off the motion constantly because the camera is mounted right inside the hallway at the front door. It’s has a reliable alarm notification and gas never lost the WiFi even when I turn it off for recharging. One issue though is it was supposed to come with a magnetic mount but didn’t so when I have to recharge it it’s a little of a hassle
Been owned this camera for six months. No complaints. It does what a security camera supposed to do day and night. Battery last for weeks. 5 stars from me.
Very easy to install and very clear 24 hour coverage. I receive an alert on my phone every time somebody comes into range. Just what I wanted to protect my motorbike.
Clear picture, wide angle. Good battery life. Easy to install and maintain.
I’m very happy with my camera and I will be looking to get more of them and I highly recommend this produc
Excellent piece of equipment, very easy to install.
Perfect picture quality, both day and night.
I found that magpies attack it so needs to be put up securely
I ordered the ZUMIMALL Security Camera Outdoor Wireless with Rechargeable Battery Power,1080P 2.4G Wifi Surveillance IP CCTV Camera,IP66 Waterproof, Human Motion Detection, Night Vision, 2-Way Audio, Cloud&SD.
I am currently using this camera in my conservatory so that we can see the back door. The quality of the image that this camera produces is really good, the night vision is also excellent. I have it set so it detects movement only at night otherwise it keeps going off as we have the conservatory as a living room currently. The camera is wireless and picks up audio clearly. As I currently have this indoors I cannot comment on the weatherproofing etc of this product. The camera was so easy to install and set up, get for novices.
At the time of reviewing this product was priced at 50.05.
I would recommend this product.
This sturdy, unobtrusive camera is everything it’s billed to be and more. We couldn’t be happier with it.
We were looking for a security camera to set up in the lobby of our condo building that would function without any wires and even without any permanent wifi. The 2-3 month battery-life claim in the F5’s writeup drove it straight to the top of our list, since there is no easy way to get power to a camera where this one would be mounted. But the bigger question was whether it would work without having a permanent internet connection, since we have no network in the lobby. After downloading and reading through the manual in detail, I came up with a plan. I used a mobile hotspot to create a temporary wifi network so that my phone could connect to the camera for setup. After everything was up and running just fine, I turned off the hotspot and left the camera to do its thing. Now, whenever I want to check on the camera or any of its recordings, I just take the mobile hotspot down to the lobby to reconnect temporarily. Works like a charm. The F5 is more than happy to keep plugging away at its job, triggering on motion during the designated nighttime hours and saving its short videos to the inserted 128GB micro SD card, without any live internet connection.
Of course, we don’t receive any alerts since our F5 has no connection through which to deliver them. But in our case that is fine since this is a public lobby and we really aren’t concerned with knowing the instant that someone comes in or goes out. For us, this is more of a security record, something we can consult after the fact if anything untoward is ever reported. The recorded videos are stored in the camera since there is no connection through which to store them in the cloud, but again that is fine for our use, and it’s perfect that the camera automatically overwrites the oldest recordings on the SD card once the space is filled. The mobile app interface could be more intuitive, easier to navigate, but it does the job of letting us find and view the camera’s nicely HD video clips.
So our bottom line on the F5 is: It just works. And at a good price.
The pictures are a daytime and nighttime view! I purchased 2 of these with one being for outside my front door. I live in an apartment and wanted to be able to see my packages delivered and make sure no one (especially my neighbors) crossed over to my side of the balcony when I am not home. The sound quality is about 85%… you can understand what’s being said… and the picture quality is great! I chose to keep the alert on for motion detection as an added safety measure and peace of mind. It was super easy to set up and even I was able to use the 3 screws and secure it outside! The ability to adjust the angle is GREAT and I have a clear view of the steps and my front door. Being able to see who knocks and choosing whether or not to answer is a bonus! Package delivery confirmation was also a priority for me. I am so very pleased with my purchase and will decide where I want to install my second camera. I don’t know yet how the battery will last, but that should definitely not be a deterrent when looking at this camera to purchase. I definitely recommend it!
Excellent value for money .crystal clear vision on pictures ,easiness of taking screen shot if needed . Good storage with sd card and cloud(not used yet)
Very good picture quality. Intercom works well. However reaction time to movement lags a bit and some film is missed before presenting offender. May be a software setup issue. The software sometimes fails to start and requires a phone re set. Cant fault the camera though for the price.
These camaras are absolutely brilliant the pictures and videos are so clear and crisp
A little fiddly to install, but for a general addition to home security, I cannot fault it. Peace of mind for the back area of the garden, and not too dear.
Good quality, well made and great value. Highly recommended.
Easy to fit and set up. Great quality. Fantastic picture. Really easy app to use. Cannot fault it at all.
Night vision is really good and alerts any motion detector and the settings are really good
I’ve had a few different security cameras now over the years and I have to say this one is surprisingly good. I say that as usually these cheaper security cameras have all sorts of issues ranging from the app you use to the actual picture quality.
I’ve been using this for the last month and I’ve had no issues at all with it. The picture quality is very good for saying it’s only 1080p and to be honest there’s not much difference between this and the expensive high quality HD one I have out the front of the house. It’s very clear day or night, and I haven’t had any issues with it steaming up at all like some other cheap ones I’ve had.
There are various settings that you can set in the app like the notifications you receive when it detects motion to the time it records each motion activation. This does not record constantly it only records when it detects movement. This can be saved online with a subscription service but you don’t need to pay for that as you can just record it to the device and steam it back from there.
That battery has lasted well and I’m yet to recharge it again after a month of use, which is good as you do have to get up to wherever you have mounted it and unscrew it from its holder, then charge it and screw it back up there. This can be a bit of a bind if you don’t have easy access to where you have mounted it, so would suggest you mount it somewhere where you’ll be happy to take it down and put it up every few months.
Overall I’m very impressed with this camera and can recommend it if your in the market for one. This doesn’t even have to be mounted outside, you could put it in a baby’s room or as a pet monitor. You can even talk through it and listen to what’s going on in that area.
Best value CCTV I’ve come across , easy to set up with wi-fi , had to buy own micro sd card , clear vision , can even speak through camera via your phone (, like the ring doorbells !! ) cannot fault it.. does everything it states on the box .
This is a nice compact security camera. Its coming with wall mount support and screws and its easy
to put up where you want. The camera has a rechargeable battery which apparently after a month
it still show me its full which is good. The picture quality i love it when it has natural light when its
outside it has a very good quality, when its inside the house in my point of view the quality its not as
good as outside but still good because its in a short range and its fine.I like it also because its two
way talk so its good when you have it at the door and get notification you can talk with who ever it
is.Its good that you can put memory card in so you don’t need to pay for some cloud storage.
I think its a good value for money.
This is a fantastic little security camera that is perfect so almost any scenario as it is wireless, waterproof and very good quality. My first impressions of this camera were all really good, firstly I really like the look of the camera, it is modern and subtle which really doesn’t make it feel industrial and creepy like some of the more transitional designs of camera can’t do. Before I installed the mount I got it paired up with the app on my phone which was really straightforward if you have connected other home smart devices then this will be very familiar to you.
Once the technical parts were all set up It was time to install the mount, we really liked the idea of the wireless security camera as it means we do not need to run cables or anything as long as we have WiFi coverage. So we put this on our garage wall pointing at our driveway, this is a perfect camera for doing this and installing the mount was really easy, the camera effortlessly pops onto the mount and is easy to remove to take it to charge, the battery life seems pretty good so far, we have not needed to charge it yet after having it running for about two weeks. The listing says it should last between one and six months which is a pretty big range so not sure how long to expect it to last.
The video quality of the camera is really good for the price, we have out pointing at our drive and from the video you can just about make out license plates on cars from about 10-20 meters away, much further and it really is hard to tell, but you could definitely tell the model of car it is from that distance
Very affordable camera just to keep an eye of what’s going on when you not able. Clear picture and motion sensor working very well. Easy to set up just need WiFi. App works well . Fantastic value for money
The camera looks good in my back garden, video and audio cameras quality are good even the night vision is very clear also the motion detection is very on spot . Was easy to install the app and worked straightforward, couldn’t be any simple .Also I like the fact that I can receive alerts on my phone and also I can record video , definitely a good choice for me !
I bought this CCTV camera mainly because of its Superior Smart Home Ip Camera – I’m elderly and my children who live quite a distance away are concerned about my safety – with this camera they can see who is coming to my home, they can also watch over my property whilst I am away.
Playback is simple just remove the camera from its mounting and plug it into your PC with supplied cable then you can watch/review your recordings.
Just download the FREE app and pair the camera using your wifi. A great futuristic visual deterrent with a good quality recording.
After a 4 to 6 hr charge and mounted correctly this superior camera stays dormant until the PIR is triggered, it will then notify you via your smartphone that motion has been sensed and will record to the onboard SD card and your phone if specified.
You can view live footage and talk two way with the target
Battery life depends on the number of notifications but customers get up to 12 months from the battery typically before a top-up is needed.
It carries the MTM Brand so you can be super confident in its reliability.
It has a Battery capacity of a whopping 5000mAh so you can be confident it has the power compared with lesser batteries like the 10400mAh so you can be assured it is standing guard over YOUR property
I totally recommend this to everyone it can even be used indoors as a `Baby Monitor` in fact I know it is used widely in hospitals up and down the country so parents can watch over their children and loved ones whilst they are in hospital.
There’s no point in my going through the features when you can read the description. Video and audio quality are adequate but not the best, compared with the Netatmo Presence and Arlo Pro cameras I use. It isn’t as functionally rich, either, but all the essentials are there, e.g. on-board storage, so you don’t have to pay for a subscription, alerts to your phone, video viewing on your phone.
Wi-fi reception is pretty good and seems stable, but you need it to be close to your router or an extender, for decent-quality streaming.
If you want to use two-way speech with visitors, the camera needs to be outside and fairly close to your front door or whatever. Mounting it outside rather than on a window sill is essential if you want to use night vision to monitor an outdoor area, or the IR beams will reflect off the window into the camera lens.
You’ll have to supply your own microSD card — I strongly recommend choosing a high endurance card, since they are designed for repeat over-writing. Although the card means you don’t have to pay for a subscription, cloud storage is apparently available if you want to pay for it, so that if the camera is stolen your recordings are safe. I haven’t investigated and don’t know the price.
The instructions are sketchy but will get you started. The Zumimall app is quite good. The UI isn’t the best but it’s ok when you find your way round it.
Couple of things to keep in mind. Like all(?) battery-powered cameras, it doesn’t pre-record (to preserve battery life), so you tend to lose the first couple of seconds of any action. My advice would be always to go for mains power, where possible. Secondly, the mount makes theft of the camera easy if it’s outside, so it needs to be mounted out of reach, if possible. The trouble is, doing so makes charging the battery a pain and may make two-way speech difficult.
Enough. If you’ve ever used a quality camera from an established western brand, you’ll notice the difference, with this one. At 50, however, there’s little to lose and you can’t go far wrong.
Instructions are included but this Zumimall security camera is very easy to set up, as there are no wires other than the charging cable. The camera is powered by a long-lasting rechargeable battery which is charged up via micro-USB (a cable is included, but you need to supply your own charger). Because the camera is motion activated and doesn’t film continuously, the camera doesn’t need frequent charging. I’ve only had to do it once so far, and that’s probably because I’ve been testing the functionality so much.
Also in the box is a wall mount and some screws. The wall mount doubles as a stand, so you can just screw in the camera and stand it on a window sill.
The camera is set up and controlled remotely via an app, which was easy to download onto my Android phone. If you’re not going to store images on the cloud (for which a subscription is required) you’ll need to insert a micro-SD card into the camera. I’m using a 32GB SD card as my camera is pointed at my back door, so isn’t being triggered very often. If I change the position of the camera to the front door I’ll consider a bigger card but 32GB seems like more than enough capacity at the moment. It would have been nice if an SD card could have been supplied with the camera, but they aren’t too hard to get hold of.
The Zumimall app is fairly easy to use, though not quite as simple as I would have liked. The instructions don’t really cover all the various settings but there’s not that many of them so it doesn’t take too long to work them out. All the basics are covered. You can set motion detection to high and low, set timings, alerts etc and use the camera as an intercom. Saved images can be deleted or shared. You can of course name the camera and add further cameras if you wish.
Picture quality is great, with bright clear HD images, though you can switch to SD if you prefer. Night vision is very effective too, I’m very impressed with this aspect of the camera’s performance.
The only problem I’ve had is that sometimes the camera has had issues connecting to my wi-fi, despite only being a few metres away from my router. If I’m not checking on it, I have no idea as to whether it’s working or not. When it is connected it shows a strong connection, but a couple of times I’ve gone into the app and it has told me the device is offline or that it can’t access the SD card, even after I’ve just gotten a motion alert. It shows me the motion alert image but won’t load up the camera. This may be down to my wi-fi of course, but it is a little annoying nonetheless and something I’ll need to get to the bottom of.
If it wasn’t for the glitchy way the app is working for me, I’d be giving this camera a five star rating. It’s small, powerful and I’m enjoying being able to remotely check the back door in the morning to see if the cat is waiting to come in! I’d happily get another one to cover the front of the house.
The camera worked well the first month, then stopped working when the router was changed from 2.4/5.0 GHz to only 5.0 GHz. The camera only works with 2.4 GHz. So, I tried to install it at a house with a 2.4 GHz router. It would not reset and my iPhone would not recognize it. I contacted the manufacturer, Zumimall, and emailed back and forth with Cassie. She was amazing. She stuck with me as we tried several different ways to try and reset the camera. When it would not do so, I asked if they would send me a new camera. Cassie said yes, even though it had been purchased through Amazon in July 2020 as a Christmas gift for me and I didn’t get to install it until May 2021 at our mountain cabin. Amazon said Zumimall really stepped up because Amazon’s return policy is 30 days… well beyond that time period. Amazon did give me a $10.00 credit to help cover the $15.00 cost to ship it back via USPS to Zumimall. In summary, Cassie is amazing and I gave it a 5 star rating because Zumimall is sending me a new camera even though it was out of warranty.
I found this Zumimall brand indoor/outdoor rechargeable battery security camera very easy to set up using their app. Their included instruction booklet is equally clear to follow making it very straightforward to use. The camera once set up with Wi-fi is surprisingly good with sharp HD images. Night vision is clear too. It takes 5-8 hours to fully charge up with its supplied USB cable and it should last 2-3 months on average though this will vary with where you place it and how much movement it records of course. It comes with a stand that’s very flexible and can be mounted to a wall or ceiling. It has a slot for a micro SD card but also has the option of cloud storage. It has a really good speaker and clear microphone so you can speak on it if used by the front door. You can set up push message alerts and alarms for any movements and watch history and live footage. I am rather impressed with it for the money it is good value. Please see my photos, including a night shot of a very dark room when testing it. I hope my honest review is helpful to you, thank you for reading it.
Home security cameras are getting more popular these days and for good reason: parcels being left (and then stolen) from your doorstep; attempted break ins to homes, garages, sheds and cars, and many of it at night or at quiet times.
This camera is great – a clear picture, day or night of what’s going on outside. It detects motion accurately – we have a tree in our garden and I wondered whether it would set the camera off constantly on a windy day – but it doesn’t.
The addition of the audio mode means that if the camera detects someone at the door, you can talk to the person there (much like you can with a Ring doorbell) and give them instructions of where to leave a parcel etc. It’s also very useful for sales callers or religious botherers – you can tell them you’re not interested from a distance – having to talk to you via a camera when you can see them but they can’t see you is a deterrent for most of them. Bonus!
You can also use it in the back garden to keep an eye on your children if you’re busy elsewhere (in the house, not shopping 3 miles away of course!) You can add more cameras to the system so you can have cameras front, back and side, as well as inside.
The camera is good quality and easy to set up – a couple of screws into the wall and the bracket is on and the camera fits securely onto the bracket. Just download the app, set up an account, and connect.
The charge can last anything from a couple of weeks to a few months, depending on how much it is activated or you connect to it.
A piece of advice: if you are using the camera outdoors place it where it cannot be reached – as the camera removes for charging, so it could be removed by someone if they don’t want to be seen. So place it out of reach if you can. To get to ours we need a small stepladder, so it’s about nine feet off the ground. You’d have to be a Harlem Globetrotter to reach it! But it’s still easy enough to remove for charging.
I’m hugely impressed with this camera and the system, including the app, for the price of 59.99. Similar cameras from the big names are twice the price.
This camera is a very worthwhile investment for peace of mind and security.
Absolutely blown away by how easy this is to install. It was set up and recording in under 5 minutes. Actually took me longer to put the three screws in to attach it to the wall. Picture quality is excellent. Motion detection and intercom work brilliantly. App is intuitive and easy to use. Honestly shocked at just how easy this was. Exceeded every single expectation.
Just decided to get 2nd camera to look at the street, after hit and run incident happened to neighbour’s car and the first camera didn’t point to the street. Did’ bother to do any heavy duty install and just let the camera to have an overview. Now the good thing is I just added the new camera to the existing app, and label them with names, so with one app I can get alarm from both cameras and view live if needed. Also need to mention motion detection is spot on, it even caught a spider in the night!
ZUMIMALL Wireless Security Camera
I have a few cameras around my house to monitor all around the property. Some are Foscam IP cameras, which I have found to be reliable, I have two similar cameras to the ZUMIMALL Camera which I also find reliable. I have been thinking of adding another camera to the setup so when the ZUMIMALL device became available I jumped at the opportunity.
I believe this camera is being badged and sold by many retailers under their own brand name. This is because the operation, software and even the look of this camera is almost identical to two cameras I already have. That being said, I am not complaining in the least, the cameras I already own have been working faultlessly for over 18 months and I fully expect the ZUMIMALL camera will be just as reliable.
Setup of the ZUMIMALL camera is straightforward, you have the choice of two methods. The first and easiest just requires you to download the App to your iPhone or Android phone, start the App turn on the camera and follow the prompts from the App. The other method is for when your Wi-Fi router signal is weak or as in my case, you have a dual band router. Again you simply have to follow the prompts from the App to get it working.
The ZUMIMALL camera has numerous features, all accessed by the App. It has motion sensing which you can tune to your requirements, it can send alerts to your phone to tell you when someone enters its sensing area, it can also take photos and record video for a period before and during the intrusion. You can access the camera remotely, if you have mobile internet on your smartphone and you can monitor what is happening and talk interactively with whoever is at the other end. I regularly use my cameras to monitor my home and check up on my dog when I am out. I have a camera in my front porch which is especially handy when I want to know if a parcel has been delivered.
I am very impressed with the battery life of these cameras, a full charge will easily last a month or more. Of course that is affected by how much you use its remote access facility, the good thing is that the camera will alert you when the battery needs charging long before the camera stops working.
The images produced by this camera are very clear the 130 wide angle does give a slight fish-eye appearance to the pictures but that’s to be expected with such a lens. You have the option of HD (1080p) or SD (720p), choosing the lower definition can help to keep remote access video, over the mobile internet, smoother. Daylight and night-time images are good, it does have IR lights for use at night but I find these are not necessary as long as there is some street lighting and of course you can’t use them if the camera is inside because the IR lamps will reflect off the glass.
I am very pleased with the ZUMIMALL camera it offers a high performance at a very reasonable cost, the only other thing I would like to see on the camera is the ability to access it from a desktop computer.
This wireless camera is perfect. You can mount it wherever you want. Its battery life is up to 1-6 months. This camera is designed in such a way that it can resist extreme weather. Therefore, it is long-lasting. Its signals are strong and it provides a wide wifi connection. Within 10 minutes 4 cameras can be set up. In this way, you can secure every corner of the house.
You will not have to check the app constantly. PIR sensor will send you an alert if any motion will be detected. False alarms can be avoided. By using ZUMIMALL App you can view 4 cameras at the same time. It is easy to install. It comes with a 2-year warranty.
This camera is the bomb I mean in a good way! First of all I read most of the reviews before purchasing based on all positive reviews I ordered and it literally took me seven minutes to set up. I couldn’t believe it. I’m pretty computer savvy but with stuff like this I usually have to read the manual. Not with this camera, I purchased for my puppy that I put outside my backyard who always wants to dig holes in my yard! I now see everything she do and when she’s not paying attention I will call her name from the speaker, she hear something and of course walks over to the camera and look up and start barking. I’m loving it so much I will purchase another one as the only problem I have with the camera it don’t automatically rotate, so I need to still see what I can’t see! It’s worth every dime I paid. This would also be good for indoor and Also in front of home. We go out and pay all this money for security systems when this one did the job, also alert you when something is moving in that area. I would definitely recommend.
The camera looks great on the front of the house and it is high quality picture. I’ve had good cameras in the past( well I thought they wore good) until now. This camera is a cut above the rest. I use a few of their cameras and my girlfriend finds it easy to use as I work away. Over all a great camera
When I received my camera, I had slight issues on connecting them to the app. I contacted the customer support and they responded to me really quick giving me few solutions to my problems. Even though the problem didn’t solve until few days later which it turn out that the app was having compatibility issues but the customer support was very helpful and patient. After I solve the issue, I connect the camera to the app to test night vision, motion detection and etc. They were really good, I can see perfectly in night time with the night vision. The motion detection are very accurate and speedy. In general, this is a good camera. The camera charge very quick. It takes about 6 hours to charge. The manual are very self-explanatory, it includes on how to install the camera, how to setup the camera in the app and last but not least how to position your camera for motion detection. I will say this is a good camera, they have good night vision, accurate motion detection, charge very fast, and lastly a good self-explanatory manual. Even if there is an issues with your camera and the manual couldn’t help you, the customer service was very nice, patient and helpful. So therefore, this is a good camera to purchase!
Very good quality, easy install and great picture. Simply love it. This camera is absolutely wonderful! From when I first opened the box I was very impressed with the packaging and the high quality of materials used to make this product. I could see that much thought and consideration was put into the design. The software installation was a breeze! Once I downloaded the app and turned on the camera, the app immediately recognized the camera and just a few simple steps later my camera was ready to work. I was also very happy to see that I had a few options for mounting the camera and what really made my day was that I was able to mount the camera without having to drill any permanent holes in the walls. (there is also the option to mount it via a screw and hanging it). Once the mount is secure on the wall, attaching the camera to it with the built-in magnet is easy and ball design allows you to adjust the camera angle or remove the camera at any given time.
We have this at our front door area – the app alerts us in fast/real time; and the picture quality is brilliant. It was super easy to install – highly recommend.
I registered my camera and in the comments, I mentioned the battery only lasted 3 or 4 days max and had to recharge. I was immediately contacted by the seller of possible things I should check. To make a long story short I was keeping the camera on all the time 24/7 instead of just keeping motion detection on and letting the camera do its own thing. Since September 1st, and today is October 7th, so 37 days the battery level is still at 100% and showing all its bars!
I am so happy with the quality and how it justcaptures videos when it needs to. While I am away I can check my alert messages if I have notifications off or I can look at the calendar on the app and see what days something was recorded. Most captured videos are me going to and from my car or delivery being made, like in the 2nd photo posted. I have it placed so I can see who is walking towards the frontdoor or walk towards the basement door. The angle it captures is amazing! The night vision is wonderful!Last night it captured a neighbor’s dog walking my driveway at 2:12 AM, the 1st photo posted. Looking at the video it looks like I have floodlights on all the time but I don’t. So bottom line I am so pleased with the quality and performance and how I was contacted with my initial problem of short battery life and theproblem was 100% resolved. This is exactly the camera I havebeen looking for.
I purchased this particular camera as I wanted a completely wireless camera (no leads at all) I placed the camera in the lounge and it’s perfect for my needs. The battery last a long time and it will advise me of any motion detection.
The picture quality meets my expectations. I will be purchasing another to place outside as they are weather proof. As of August I have placed the camera outside under my pergola, small screw into the pergola beam to attach it to. Works exceptionally well. Highly recommend this camera.
Junk! My power button fell into camera on week 4,I found long tweezers and managed to juggle something and turn it on. I was able to do that for 3.5 months then randomly one morning after charging it I couldn’t jiggle it back on! I rarely caught anyone coming through front door on camera, I’td catch the door closing sometimes and alert me three was movement but never could catch who….. I bought this because I live in a 2 family house and the downstairs neighbor is a crack head and all her company as well and my mail and packages go by by . I felt that if I could have cold evidence next time they decided to take my packages, I’d have proof to have them arrested. I had very nice mail woman who’d agree to keep packages at post office for me to pick up by of course my luck the day my camera stb the postmaster said that wouldn’t be happening anymore update: my lovely post woman still keeps my packages at the office for me to pickup
Simple and easy to use. Good battery. Good video resolution including the night mode. App works well on my phone.
Fast delivery within 3 days only from USA to Australia , I like it wireless with 2 minutes setup and quick connection between phone and cam
Great night view and good alarm for motion detection so I am aware of everybody coming close to my front door. Love it so fa
I purchased a couple of this camera to monitor the surrounding of my house. The quality of the camera is solid and the image is reasonably sharp. The setup is pretty straightforward. Since the motion triggered alert setting in the app is quite crude, there are some false triggers to be expected, e.g., by bugs flying across the camera in the evening. The Wifi connection is OK, but at times, one may require a few tries to connect to it from the app. To conserve battery power, I set up a dusk-till-dawn schedule for the trigger alert. With that, I can get 2+ weeks of continuous operation per charge. One of my cameras has a charging issue, and I was very delighted by the responsiveness and support provided by the Seller’s support team. Once it’s determined that there was an issue with the charge port connection, they shipped me a replacement unit. When I inadvertently shipped back the defective unit with my microSD card left inside, Iris and Lily are kind enough to offer assistance to find the unit and return the microSD back to me. I think the product is of very good value at its price point, and kudos to the Customer Support services.
UPDATE:
Zumimall ended up sending me a solar panel to charge the camera that I purchased, HUGE difference. This camera is completely reliable now because the sun is keeping this at a full charge. Definitely wouldn’t purchase the camera without investing in a solar panel as well.
I am very disappointed, read all the great reviews before purchasing and I am so disappointed with the battery life. At first I had this on high motion detection and I thought that is what was draining the battery (it was only holding a full charge for a day or two).
Then I turned off the motion detection features on BOTH of the cameras that I bought (yes, I purchased two and they are BOTH only holding a charge for ONE day now when the advertisement says 2-6 MONTHS on a full charge).
I live in a town home community and I hate the fact that I have to climb onto my ladder every day to charge these stupid cameras. Very annoyed. I wanted descrete reliability. I will be returning BOTH cameras AND the replacement I ordered. Not worth the money.
I have had it for a lil over a year now and I honestly recommend it’s great price and quality is great for the price to be honest I had low expectations when I got it but proved me wrong I do recommend getting the solar panel to keep it changed so you don’t have to worry about it I ended up getting it after cause I didn’t want to keep taking it down to charge it I have had no issues till now it got damaged by the Recent monsoons here in AZ but contacted support and they got back to me that night and so helpful and are sending me a replacement so thankful for that if I ever have to replace it in the future I definitely will it holds quite a bit of storage at a time or you can get there different plants you pay for witch are not expensive I would get an sd card I just use that with it so it does hold storage if you are looking for a good quality good price and reliable wire free camera I recommend this one hands down camera is grate and there support is also motion detection works really great to I live on the corner of cul-de-sac and I had to put it on low cause it was going off ever 5 sec with every car and person walking by lol but it’s a really good product and will buy again and definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a home camera they don’t want to pay monthly for or have to drill holes in the house for the wires
This camera is, like everyone else says, a great value. It stands sentry in our driveway and always knows when someone is coming. The motion sensor is great, the night vision is okay, but considering how little we paid, it is great.
Now that we got that out of the way, there is room for improvement.
1.)The camera doesn’t have the capability of writing on the card in a way that our computer can read it. The manufacturer says this is not yet within their grasp.
2.) Power button too tiny, delicate. Fell off first day.
3.) While charging, there is no way to tell that it’s getting any juice without using the app. Could use a tiny nondescript light on the unit itself.
4.) Picture quality good up to five meters. Any further and people get blurry. At night we can see people with the Infared but all we can tell is that they are Homo sapiens that’s it. Can’t tell the difference between the pope and my paper boy at night.
5.) But of all the minor complaints there is one huge one. The sound is so distorted that human speech sounds like a whale song and cars make a noise like a fighter jet. No way at all to make out the words.
Update:
Customer service reached out to me yet again. They were helpful and gave me a partial refund for the 3 cameras I bought. They also checked on how the battery usage was and why it was going so low so fast and offered replacement or refund. I found it very helpful that the company reached out and helped in many ways. I’m going to use the refund to purchase the newer model cameras to see how they differ from these. Giving now 5 stars just because of customer service.
Original:
I bought 3 of these cameras back in November. Initially they were good, can’t say great but for the price it was expected.
Decent camera shots during day and night. Pretty sensitive motion detector but not consistent – my thought was it’s better then nothing. Again expected with the price.
#1 complaint and pitfall is that the battery life is no where what they claim it is. And that’s even with all detections off. Just drains down even with no alerts. It’s resulted for me to continuously have to remove them and charge them inside the house then put them back up weekly. Unfortunately for me I’m now outside the window of return with amazon. Hope that there company reaches out to me
I live in New Hampshire, have had one outside all winter and the other inside. My wife and I are able to have the cameras linked to both of our phones, she has a Samsung I have an iPhone. This is nice so we can both check on the animals and pet sitters when we are traveling. The battery lasts about 2 weeks before having to be re-charged. The weather has had no effect on the one outside. Picture quality is good, except the night vision. Easy to set up, brackets supplied are a little cheap. Better off making your own with a bolt and a clamp. Motion sensors activate well and at a good distance. However by the time the object has gone by then the camera activates and gives you a blank feed with no movement. I like that I can login anywhere and have somewhat live feed and I am able to talk through it. It has a cloud system for storage you have to pay monthly or yearly based on how long you would like to keep the history. You can also put a micro sb in it. I haven’t been able to find a way to download this history off of the cloud storage as of this moment. All and all not to bad for the price.
I purchased 2 of these cameras because of the price and some decent reviews. Now I wished I had bought something different. The cameras can be triggered by any moving object (good thing), except that 99% of the time it captures and records the very end of the fact. Unless you stand in front of it for some time the camera will only capture a tenth of a second of an image (and it’s dark). It also has issues connecting to my WiFi. I even added additional WiFi extenders to my whole house which work great with other electronic products (including my monitored alarm system) but not with these cameras.
UPDATE:
After writing my previous review I was contacted by the manufacturer (Zumimall) and they sent me a new Wireless, WiFi camera to replace the one above. The Zumimall GX1S Battery Powered is an AMAZING camera and if I had received it before I purchased a Ring camera I would’ve saved myself a lot of money. I have used it next to my Ring camera and compared them side by side and this is a great product. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with this outdoor camera and I appreciate what Zumimall did for me by reaching out and sending a replacement.
As far as the camera goes, the GX1S model has a long lasting battery, incredible wide angle view and it is quick (quicker than the Ring) to capture moving objects. I have the camera set up to cover an area of 90 feet long by 20 feet wide. Installation was really easy and even though I mounted it in an area far from my WiFi the camera has 2 strong antennas that help getting a quick and clear signal. Overall this is a must have product if you are looking for an outdoor surveillance camera.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
These cameras are the best. We wanted some simple, wireless cameras for inside the house. We wanted to be able to keep an eye on the kids if they were playing in the basement or playroom while we were cooking or elsewhere in the house.
We tried numerous cameras we returned for various reasons. We had a few criteria we wanted:
1-truly wireless-not just wireless internet, but wireless power.
These cameras charge through usb when needed, but when they are hung on the wall there are no wires needed.
2-I didn’t want to have to drill into our walls for a mount.
These come with multiple ways to hang. They have a screw in mount if you want that. But they also have a magnetic mount that can stick to the wall with 3M tape, which is provided. The magnetic mount connects to the super strong magnet on the back of the camera. The mount is rounded which allows you to easily adjust the camera to just about any angle you can think of. The magnet is also strong enough that once you get the camera in the correct spot on the rounded mount, it doesn’t move.
3-I wanted to be able to live view the footage without limit.
This camera allows you to live feed with no issues of timing out. The picture is clear, you can opt for SD or HD with the simple tap of the screen.
4-I wanted simple set-up.
Once these were charged, they were up on the wall and working within 5-10 minutes. Connects easily, shares to another user easily, and prompts to update if needed.
These cameras don’t pan around the room like some others do, but if you put them in the right spot you can view the whole room. They also have sound and you can talk to the person in the room from the app.
We love these and I highly recommend them if you want a simple, easy, camera with no wires. We now have 5 of them in the house. Oh, and all 5 are listed in the app without issue, you just click on the one you want to live feed and you’re set.
I’ve had these for about 6 weeks in Michigan with temps down to 15 F, no issues in the cold, rain, high winds, and even some freezing rain. I have 4 around the outside of my house, my driveway the most active cam lasted just over a month before hitting 17% battery where you start to get alerts to charge it. All of the others still have 3/5 battery bars.
The night mode lets you see about 15 yards with no lights on, some cams I leave on color full time because well lit areas are better without night mode on.
Motion detection is a little delayed, but from what other reveiws on other cams say, its the same. Also it takes 7 seconds once the cam picks up motion for your phone to receive a notification, that also seems par for other brands too.
Mounts, 2 options both work well and hold up to high winds. Magnetic option does make recharging easier though. Consider that for high traffic areas.
The app, ok. Good have a better overall layout, but it’s functional. every so often you get logged out, and repeatedly have to sign back right after logging in, sometimes 3 times before not having to log back in for a week or more.
Good cams, ok app, small file sizes, 64GB storage after 6 weeks is only using less than 1 gig, I’d recommend to anyone interested.
Great, i can watch from my mobile with ease. I recommend this.
*edit* the camera bracket is poorly made. Be careful or you will break it like I did.
I wanted an outdoor camera with good picture quality, robust build, a rechargeable battery that doesn’t need to be charged often, a good app, and an SD card option to avoid having to use cloud storage if I didn’t want to.
The Zumi checks all these boxes, plus it was really easy to install. After charging the battery with a USB connection, downloading the CloudEdge app, and joining the camera to my WiFi using a convenient scan option on the app,
I used the outdoor metal mount to install it over the front entrance in a few minutes.
Picture quality is good, both daytime and night-time. The “body detection” option on the app was disabled initially, so it took me a few minutes to figure out I needed to enable it to get notifications when the camera detected movement.
Since then it’s worked flawlessly.
The battery life is still showing all bars, which seems quite impressive. Will see how it goes.
The CloudEdge app is working well, no crashes or problems so far.
I bought a 128GB Samsung Evo SD Card and am using that rather than the cloud storage option.
I’m thinking of getting a couple more of these cameras for the garage and rear.
Notes: The camera only supports 2.4GHz WiFi standards, not 5GHz, which should not be an issue.
Battery powered. The battery lasts for weeks if the camera is not in a high traffic area.
It has slot for a micro SD memory card up to 128 gig. (I used 64 gig cards and found that to be sufficient).
You can access motion-detected videos on your smart phone, look at live video, and there is even an optional cloud service if you want it. I do not need that, since I can download any video on the Micro SD card simply by watching it and hitting the “record” (videocamera) icon in the app. Puts it in my iPhone photo:video album.
I am using the cameras (two so far) with my iPhone and iOS app. I will probably buy 1-2 more of these little beauties!
Update! I noticed an HD on the screen and clicked it. Boom! Now the camera is in HD mode and is twice as sharp as it was. Sure it uses more space on the memory card but since the cameras are usually on standby that is not a problem at all.
This camera is everything I had hoped and more.
I own two now and will order more as needed!
I wanted to add an indoor camera with 2-way voice to my alarm system but my alarm rep said that for what I needed it for, it would be cheaper to purchase a third party one. I tried this one and I was really happy with it. It is compact and stylish so it isn’t an eyesore in the house. It is easy to install and comes with two mounting choices; a double adhesive magnetic mount or a threaded base that can be screwed into the wall. The app was easy to download and it was relatively easy to set up. Anyone with basic smartphone/wifi/computer skills shouldn’t have a problem with it. The picture quality was better than I expected considering the price and size of the camera (see attached pictures). The night vision was ok and about what I expected. The motion sensor was very accurate and sensitivity can be adjusted. I was pretty impressed with the quality of the app, its features, and setting options. Granted I have two apps for my alarm system and the indoor camera but for what I need it for, it isn’t an inconvenience and it was a lot cheaper than purchasing an addon camera from my alarm company. One of my concerns was the battery life considering this is completely wireless. I was worried I would have to recharge every few days but I have had this camera for about 5 days now (constantly on) and the battery still shows a full charge. If I can get a couple months on a charge (which seems feasible) then I will be very happy with it.
So, don’t get me wrong. It’s a good camera for the money, and I do like it over all. But there are a couple things. It was fairly simple to set up, and came with all of the hardware to install. It seems to be built well. I’ve noticed it seems to miss things here and there. It misses when a vehicle pulls into the driveway, and if ut does pick it up, it may miss one person as they walk inside, and get the second. Honestly, I am still working on the settings. I don’t care much for the app, I believe it could offer more. The true wireless is a great bonus, although battery life doesn’t last as long as I had hoped but, it’s managable. Can upgrade to solar charger.
My biggest disappointment is the cloud service. Comes with a 7 day trial, which is nice, however, the service is not based on your account, (say if you have 5 or 6 cams one one account) it’s priced per camera, which could get pricey each month or so. It does however have the ability to take a SD card.
For the price, and now with a wifi extender, it works well. I may even add a couple more if I can get the settings where I need them.
I’ll update if anything major happens.
This is device is totally wireless and cordless, very sturdy and well made. Love the strong magnetic mount which makes is super easy to install. The set up was a breeze. No problem with connecting the camera to my iphone. The device came with its battery partially charged so I don’t have to charge it right away. On my iphone screen, it has a battery icon showing how much battery power is left. It detects motion and will send me alerts. It is great to be alerted when delivery man came while I am away from home. I haven’t try using SD. But when you don’t use SD you don’t get video, you only get screen shot when motion is detected which does not help because it usually is blurry. So I subscribed to the cloud and I get video clips which I can save (using the record function) to my iphone and share if I need to. The basic cloud subscription is $2.99 a month and costs more if you want your videos to store longer. I have been testing and watching the video recordings and I noticed that the motion detection seems to have a lag. It takes a split second before the video is triggered. For example, if someone came to the door and left right away, I won’t see this person coming but I will see him leaving on the video (and therefore likely not able to see his face). Overall this is a great purchase and I am quite pleased with the product.
So when I first got this webcam I absolutely LOVED IT. I popped in my Micro SD card and everything was great. Great picture quality, great sound (in both directions), and I could zoom in and move the picture around. You can choose between HD and SD quality which is really nice. The package comes with multiple mounts and even a nice stand if you need it. However, you really don’t need to use the stand because this camera can stand nicely on it’s own. I love the magnetic ball wall mount which I haven’t used yet on a wall but I did attach it to the camera and the magnet is powerful. My only complaint, which may not be the camera’s fault, is my SD Card is no longer detected. I left the camera in the cold garage overnight to film what neighborhood cats were coming in and eating our food. When I woke up I was reviewing the overnight video (this camera is not meant for 24×7 recording but if it only records when movement is detected it’s just as good as 24×7) for a few minutes then whamo. The SD Card was no longer detected. I tried everything to revive it but no luck. Powered on/off, removed the card, brought it inside to warm up but no luck. So it may not be the camera’s fault. So I’m still giving this 5 stars.
Bought this exterior camera to try due to reasonable cost, alleged ease of installation and operation. Unit arrived on time, well packaged. Set up and tie-in via WiFi on iPhone was straightforward and works well. Instruction manual has very fine print and figures (they will send you an electronic version if you ask). Options for mounting – screw-in or magnetic base both work well. Mounted over front door – gives good, clear picture both daytime and infrared night vision, and effective alerts (can choose heat sense, human size option for alert). Can view via iPhone live anytime, or later shapshots it takes when motion activated. Is NOT WiFi connected to laptop; need to use phone. Will be easy to remove for charging battery (alleged to last months) – comes with charging USB cord that needs connected to a laptop or iPhone-type plug in to charge. You need to buy a 128GB microSD card separately (the Samsung EVO Select microSDXC UHS-I-Card works well for me) or sign up for a paid iCloud service – neither are included with the unit. I am pleases with performance, and I will buy additional unit(s) for other external areas of our home. NOTE: you need good WiFi signal where you mount the camera outside. I am getting the net grid WiFi booster recommended by Clark Howard to provide stronger signal at extreme end of house inside for unit I want to mount outside there.
This camera is Motion sensored so it triggers itself to come on when activated.
It has night vision and the pictures it gives at night are actually great. The daylight video quality is clear as well.
It allows you to talk through it with someone if they are at the door or whatever area you have it installed.
It is battery powered so we did not need to tap into any power source, and it is rechargeable as well.
We are happy with this purchase and would buy it agai
It was an easy setup: download the app in the APP STORE on your phone, scan the provided QR code from the box, follow the simple set up directions.
I opted for a micro SD card instead of the paid cloud service. The video and pics still get saved on phone app as long as there is storage on the Micro SD card. .
Nice color display on phone during the day; nice color display or night vision at night depending on the lighting. It is very responsive to movement: is even picks up my dogs on the less sensitive mode. It also has a mic/voice option. It gives a vast display of my backyard-from side to side. Happy camper here.
Check out my pics. If helpful then please click. I would be willing to pay for another if needed. I do have RING on the front door so that may not be necessary.
UPDATE: This little camera held a single charge for 4 weeks and 2 days before I received a notification on my app that there was a 15% charge left and that it need to be charged. Nice run on a single charge. Very impressive.
I couldn’t WAIT to write this REVIEW….
I decide to put up a security camera….at my door…for a number of reasons..
I researched the systems available…..
MOST either…Had 60 foot wires to a box…needed to be plugged into a wall socket…
were INDOOR ONLY….had multiple cameras….were hundreds of dollars…
AND/OR they required a $4.99 subscription to “the Cloud” for video storage…for life of cam.
I needed WIRELESS…plugless…one camera….OUTDOOR….motion sensing…and NO CLOUD…
AMAZINGLY…I found one on Amazon…80 bux or so, plus a $13 128 gb micro sd card…
< $100 home security....bargain! This thing is wireless..has a USB wire rechargeable battery that (apparently) lasts for months ...motion detection... hd color... night vision...wifi connected...records to micro SD card...screenshots... AND you can talk thru it at the door...all on my inexpensive Android tracfone! WHAT YOU GET IN BOX Camera...USB cord to plug into computer USB to CHARGE camera....mine CAME charged at 57%... 3-4 hours later (after I'd completely set it up) it's at 100% TWO Mounting systems....950 answered questions on this page...and NONE told you this.. 1. 2 double backed adhesive patches...for adhesive to wall..adhesive to mount 2. 6 screws with plastic inserts for "non-stud" attachment 3. ONE 2 holed mount with a silver "ball" on it...which magnetically holds camera....strong hold 4. ONE 3 holed mount with a lockable pivot which SCREWS into the butt of the camera....ie..adjustable angles I seriously bought this thinking (from the Q & A) that the magnetic "Ball" with double adhesive was the only mount system included.... I was worried some crook would try to disable the cam...it would come down easily...and be stolen... I figured I could screw the mount to the wall....and GLUE the ball to the cam if need be...unscrew it to re-charge it....no kidding...ZERO mention of the "screw mount" in Q and A... Also...the smallest manual you'll ever see....smaller than a playing card...I suggest downloading the manual to a computer for full-screen view...they give you the URL... SETUP: very intimidating.... Insert the micro SD Card B4 power on if using it...I bought 128G for $13 bux....insert the tiny card...not the adapter. I had to Then download an app "CloudEdge...sign up for it with an email..choose a PW..... log in...follow directions near my router, choose MY personal WiFi...LOG into THAT with my Wifi pw, THEN...hold the Camera up to my cellphone ~5 inches apart...near my Router for it to SCAN the QR Code on my phone, for it to recognize MY personal WiFi.....ie....no wires anywhere.... I'm goin'...no WAY this works....BUT it worked! perfectly. BTW.....I ALSO had to call my Internet provider to confirm my wifi is 2.4G...cam won't work with "5G".. (my wifi is 2.4 AND 5G compatible)...who knew? Controls via cellphone are abundant....learn the 26 or so numbers....in the manual....learn settings... The picture is XLNT...true color...SD or HD choice...I find SD looks good, and is faster on the uptake. IR "Night Vision" is fantastic....based on taking it into a dark room....haven't put it up yet outside. You can ADD cameras....AND have your friends see your camera...if they have a CloudEdge login, AND if you give them permission....good control on that. Not worried about the "motion sensing"...tho I ONLY have "High" and "LOW" choices...no "medium"... I figure I'll try High for a week...see how much it records....set it to low if needed...AND if it fills up in a month...I'll just delete videos or reformat SD card....ie...I want the minutes BEFORE and AFTER a (gosh forbid) CRIME...not every person walking their dog. Lastly....NO holes thru walls...NO Wires AT ALL....NO Power plug hardwire.....NO recording BOX....no hassle. Battery re-chargeable....NO CLOUD monthly fees necessary really....lessen' you wants it. I'll update performance later...but it worked great in my living room. Customer Cool 11/13/19
I need to add security cameras after my car was broken into and due to a DV situation. I was looking for something that was wireless so I didn’t have to hire an electrician to install, had a quick response time, and was clear enough to view. I have tried 3 different types of cameras, all I have returned within the day I tried them as they didn’t give me what I need or had a very complicated app associated with it. This product is easy to install, has an easy to understand app, though cloud storage is an additional fee it’s cheaper than most other products. It alerts me within moments of someone coming into view which is what I needed. It took me awhile to find a spot on my house where it could be placed that could give me the clearest view. The picture I attached was a screenshot from a video (I wasn’t posing or I would have smiled, I had that heading to work stare, lol). I will update the review after I see how long the battery lasts, which is then next big need, I don’t want to have to climb up the ladder often to recharge the battery, I’m really hoping the 2-5 months is accurate. If that works, then I’m ordering a couple more to increase security.
i have a bunch of network security cameras, some wired and some that work over WiFi, so I familar with these types of devices.
The good.
Well built, seems solid, battery life is great, easy set up.
The not so good.
Poor body detection, even when set to high and in good lighting conditions it’s 50/50 if it triggers, have tried various positions, didn’t make much difference. Other users have complained about this as well.
WiFi dies, well sort of, it obviously goes to sleep to conserve battery life and seems to have trouble waking up, this seems to get worse over time, it would be nice if the camera firmwware had the ability to reboot on a schedule, this, I think, would be a simple workaround. My WiF is strong so that is not the issue.
I have other 1080 cameras, and they seem to have better resolution than than this, maybe it’s the compression they use, most of the other cameras I have you can change the compression, it doe’s oks not look like 1080. It even worse in low light.
All in all it’s ok, a few simple tweaks would make this awseome, currently, your choices are limited for these types of devices and fairly new, hopefully if they can work out the kinks and then it will be an awesome gadget
UPDATE: July 2020
Ok, I’ve now had working for 9 months without issue, so I raised it from 3 stars to 4.
The WiFi is now stable, I switched it to another WiFi network (I have multiple APs) and it has worked great after that, it needs a good strong signal.
This is a solidly made thing, I used the supplied 3M sticky pads and mag mount to temporarily mount above the front door, it worked great and I forgot about, and then summer hit us, summers are hot where I live, and the heat made the sticky pad lost its adhesion and the camera fell about 8ft onto concrete, the camera survived and still works great!
The motion sensing is still a little slow to detect even when set to high, the app needs to be a little more granular.
Still think having the ability for a scheduled reboot would be useful.
Biggest, gripe, I really wish it was ONVIF compliant.
The app could be a little easier to navigate. It’s mostly straight forward but the “History” button where you look back at motion censored recordings could work better. Everything else in the app works great.
Night vision is better than expected and the picture quality during the day is amazing.
The motion censor is ridiculously accurate. Thankfully it has the option of low, medium, and high motion censoring. On high, even bugs trip it so I keep it on medium and it always catches people and animals and sends me a notification straight to my phone. When it detects motion, it automatically records for I think 30 seconds after the motion ends. Keep in mind you have to buy micro SD cards in order to record video.
I liked these cameras so much that I ordered two more. If my review is helpful, please let me know!
I did not use pay cloud option, I just purchased memory cards and use the free cloud version. I can see all 5 cameras on website, but I can only open 1 at a time. It does have the last image on each camera visible on home page at the same time(you click on those images to open live views or open alarms).
You give each camera a name and get messages on your phone instantly with the name of camera having a motion detection.
I have had two raccoons invading my back porch every night, I thought it was cats, but seeing camera alarm, behold racoons.
I even got a scratch off ticket and won $20.00 back from my next purchase (utilize those scratch offs if you get one) I had one with 5 cameras.
I have been using my cameras a lot and the batteries were all charged by me to full charge. They are down to 3 bars from 5 full charge in 3 weeks. One is still full from not being activated very often.
I utilized the bolt mount vs the magnet mount, both mounts come with camera.
Cameras are hefty and quality built. I will be purchasing a couple more.
What got my attention here was not only the price, but how we can use our own 128GB MicroSD chip for storage. Convenient!
It came yesterday and it was really simply to set up. It took about 10 minutes to get it set up along the side of my roof (after initial set-up of turning it on, scanning QR code, download app, etc.)
So far it’s working great. The night vision is great for its price and so is the motion detection. I also like how they have a pretty decent voice intercom option.
I will update my review as time goes by, but so far it’s working great with no issues.
My requirements for buying a security camera:
1) DIY…didn’t want a “pro” having to install it or a monthly fee to run/maintain it
2) Local storage of “events” on a SD card (with option for cloud storage if on trip or something)
3) Wireless…for flexibility on placement and minimal modification to structure
4) Screwed in base for outdoor and sticky option for indoor
5) Good video both during day and night vision mode
6) Ability to enable/disable warnings sent to phone (during the day can be irritating every time you pass the camera)
7) Easy to add multiple cameras to one phone
8) Easy to add a “friend” (e.g. family member) so they get alerts and can see videos
9) Ability to choose which videos on the SD card get deleted or kept
10) Easy to add multiple devices (phones or pads)
And guess what? This camera meets ALL those requirements. My only suggestion is to mount it where the rain can’t get on the lens and make images blurry. I am going to have to move the camera back further under the roof overhang as when it rains/blows, things get dicey. Also buy a USB SD card reader if you don’t have one (cheap). That way if you do get a suspicious video, you can go fetch the camera, take out the SD card, and import the images into your computer for further inspection/enhancement/etc. So far I am 100% happy with the 2 cameras I bought. Both are mounted outside and every day record ALL front/back door activity (so far just us luckily).
Glad that this camera met all my requirements of no pulling wire and no professional setup. It was easy to set up the equipment physically ( either using the provided magnet or screw on type) and to connect through their app. The picture quality is very clear in the mornings and also the night vision. A microSD card ( bought separately) is installed before activation on app for recording the activities. The battery life is quite strong too and the charge stays for a longer period if the camera doesn’t get activated often. The only drawback is the camera needs to be reinstalled to the app if the battery goes low / dead.
I would recommend this security camera as it is wireless , easy installation and has rechargeable battery.
I would recommend this camera for anyone who needs a cheaper version without the hassle of wires and/or subscriptions.
I was able to add a neighbor as a friend and he can see the camera view and can get alerts as well – that is handy if I need to be away for a while and he can turn notifications off on his app without affecting mine.
Customer service is prompt and helpful. I sent an email asking about extra mounts and they responded quickly that they were available for just the shipping cost of 10.00 US.
This camera is well worth the price and I have already recommended it to a few friends.
Here are some overall review:
A. Installation, very easy, just go with the procedures on booklet. I got it setup in 15 minutes or less.
B. Body detection, good but would love more range extension, perhaps double the range.
C. Microphone/Intercom, weak because I mount it high on the second floor. It becomes you can hear me but I can not hear you, via iPhone. To be useful, the camera needs to be close to the target.
D. Feature, love the option to turn off Sending notice and body detection. When I am out working in yard, do not want to trigger the camera.
E. Power consumption, extremely good. It does not use much power at all. I expect it will keep working whenever I’m on vacation.
F. Picture quality, good for day time picture, average for night vision. You would hardly be able to identify the face of target, it basically inform you there is a person approach. You really need to mount the camera close to target area.
G. Weather proofing, not long enough to judge.
H. Versatility, very good. I installed CloudEdge software on both iPhone and iPad. I am able to switch between monitoring device depending on where I am. (Only one monitoring software will logIn at a time.
I. Choosing different camera, seems easy, you can rename the caramel according to its location.
J. Cloud storage, not used.
K. IP bit rates, SD around 50 kbits/s, HD around 155 kbits/s
L. SD card, buy the least expensive card. I bought 32GB SD card, more than suffice for the storage need. It hardly store enough data. Plus, you can remotely delete video/photo data files, you can also remotely format it.
Lastly, I will probably buy another two, one for the back door and one for the indoor coverage.
Ah, for total protection: buy a gun! LOL
The only thing I’m not happy about is the fact I can’t share or download the videos. I’ve contacted their customer service, which by the way it’s pretty good and reliable too, but they said something about the video being encrypted for security purposes, therefore videos cannot be downloaded on the phone. I’m not all that tech savvy so I don’t really know of all the possibilities to achieve what I would like to do. I still need to play with the SD card I just installed last night to see if I can see the videos that way. Because of this issue, I don’t feel the camera is as efficient as other cameras out there.
Update: I just heard back from tech support (they’re good!) and they have suggested two different things for me to try. I’ll try them later on today.
Update#2: Everything is good and running! I had decided to get another security camera, and was between this one, and another one I have, which is not bad either. For the third camera, either battery or electric power would do. However, I chose a second Zumimall because of their customer service. They’ve been excellent! Every time I’ve had a question, which is about everyday for the last 10 days since I got my first one, they’ve gotten back with me in 24 hours or less. Sometimes we would even exchange a couple of emails a day.
UPDATE on battery life: I received this item on june 6th but I didnt put it up until june 10th and right now is july 6th. So the battery is at 18% as of right now. So if you use the camera as often as I did(every time theres a notifications due to high sensitivity movements) of course it’ll take up the battery. It did however notify me that its 18% and it needs to be charged or it will automatically shut off. Still not bad. Planning on buying another to rotate while the other one is charging. Picture quality is pretty good.
On another note, there’s a solar for this camera that can be charged without having to take it down to plug in to charge. Less worries about the battery being low and it’ll continously charge throughout the day.
Immediately after I completed the setup and installation, I get real-time notifications when there is any motion detection. As long as I have a stable connection on my phone, I have the option to use the intercom function to speak to whoever is at my door. What I really like about the notification function is that I can go back and view screenshots as well as video. The quality of the picture and video is very good and the night vision function works incredibly well. I attached a picture to this review of my two dogs in a completely blacked out room.
The waterproof design is also nice to have although it was not a necessity for me now, it may come in handy some day.
I have used the camera indoors at times to check in on my dogs and now mostly use it for the front and rear entry to my house.
Now what really surprised me most with this camera is the battery life. I was very skeptic to the claims made in the listing but now after nearly 6 weeks of daily usage and the battery indicator shows full bars! Well, color me impressed!!!
Overall it is great for me to be able to see who is at my door, whether I am home or not.
One thing I would like to add and I hope the seller can see this comment is that the font on the instruction manual is very very small. I recommend enlarging the font so that it can be easily read by old timers like me.
Customer service is great. Had to send back the 1st camera because of a changing problem but they took care of it very quickly. Had 2nd camera sent out within less than a week’s time.
Overall, I am very impressed and will probably get another one for the backdoor in the future.
