Why Scratching and Having A Scratching Post Matter: Allow Good Self-care of Claws
Scratching is the best way to keep cats’ claws in a healthy condition. Cats scratch to slough off the old nail layers, so fresh ones can grow healthily. Allowing kittens to scratch rather than cutting their nails is significant, as improper declawing may lead to pain in paws, infection, or even injuries.
- Your born scratch-lover now can enjoy a nail salon whenever needed with this indoor cat scratcher. The robust, non-toxic sisal fabric can stand up to a lot of scratching, ensuring every scratch is safe and satisfying.
rabbitgoo Cat Scratching Post – More Than A Simple Scratcher.
Instead of a plain scratcher, this 3-in-1 post features a round perch for your cat to take a lazy nap after completing a self “manicure”.
- It also allows for jumping and climbing when your cat needs to let go of some extra energy.
rabbitgoo Cat Scratching Post – Your Cat’s Favorite Outlet for Scratching and Body Conditioning.
Cats won’t stop scratching, so we want this instinctive craving to be fulfilled safely and easily for your house cat. With the allure of textured natural sisal, your cat will find this routine even more exhilarating!
- The sisal ropes are made to last under serious use and work just as an outside tree bark – which is what outdoor cats tend to use for scratching.
rabbitgoo Cat Scratching Post – A Happy Kitten Needs Entertainment.
Another fun addition to a feline’s day! The two balls make the post not only a scratching tool but also a lovely toy, delivering more mental stimulation for your indoor cat.
- Some cats may be too timid to enjoy their new scratcher – these furballs can attract your cautious kitty to it, helping him/her get familiar with the scratching post faster.

I use it several times a day — saving my new chairs!
Our cat likes the rope style scratch poles and instantly used this when we put it together. Its great value for money and takes minutes to put together.
Also, our cats bed fits well on the top so hs dual purpose.
This is a fantastic value for money scratch post
Both my cats have been playing with it too
Our cat like it and play with it often 🙂
Easy to put together after delivery, bigger than expected.

This is a big hit with my little girl Lyra who is almost 5 months, her brother who is close to a year uses it some. It’s really too short for him to get a good scratch session in. It’s a little aggravating to put together but not that big of a deal. I’d recommend it to others with kittens. Those folks with larger cats should probably look for a taller one. We will be buying a taller one as well.
I am 81 years old and in a poor state of health. I am not handy with a screwdriver, pliers or similar. I have not yet assembled the product, but it seems simple enough to assemble. Would have much preferred an assembled unit as described and illustrated in Amazon’s product information.
A little wobbly for my cat, but I weighted the bottom so now it’s fine. The hanging toys were off within the first day, but this was more for a stepping stone to a taller tree, so for my purposes it works fine.
My 10 month old kitten loves the scratch post she loves playing with Pom poms with bells on that gang from the scratch post.
10/10 for easy assembly, however after a few weeks the bolts started to come lose and was able to spin. Easy again to fix but a little bit of a pain the kitten seems to love it regardless 🙂 worth the money
Price was great andvvery strong..but my kitten doesn’t use it as Scratch Post but might just lay at the bottom
Really easy to assemble, very sturdy and good quality. I like this product!
This was very easy to assemble and our cats love it.
My cats love this they scratch on it all the time
Really good item. Only trouble is that our cat won’t play with it, but maybe she will eventually!
Would be a good plaything for a well behaved cat. Unfortunately, my cat doesn’t fit this description. She prefers to use the furniture instead.
Easy to assemble, sturdy the old scratching post needed to be replaced very pleased
Great little scratching post. New kitten took to it right away and detracted from scratching other unwanted surfaces. Loves the attached balls and bells and jumping on it. Now recognizes and uses all the other “big kitty” posts already in the house.
Initially seemed good but this week less than 2 months after buying the string peeled off when my cat was using it. Very disappointed and would not buy again.
Good produce, good value for money. Would recommend and so would the cat!
I brought a stray cat into our home and this is 1 of many items I bought off Amazon for him. It is sturdy, has cute hanging toys and was easy to put together. It isn’t anything too fancy but makes a nice scratch post or perch for my cat.
It is very well made sturdy great for climbing, my kitten loves it so much can’t get her of it I did sew two more things to hang from it as there was only two on there lol it’s great value for money ..
So, the base is a folded pair of hard board panels wrapped in the fabric, you slide the bolt through and the washers act as the mechanical brace to hold both the pole straight and the two panels together, this is extremely flimsy and over time – especially if it gets damp at all – lets the pole sag.
We had collapsed upper platform after a month, my solution was to use a flat piece of hard plastic I happened to have lying around – you could use a cut out from say a butter carton or milk carton – anything hard and flat to spread the pressure from the washer around.
Once this home-make fix was applied, it stood up for longer, and supported three pets jumping around on it… why do I say pets? Well, didn’t give this the cat, no no no, this went to the rabbits, they loved it to be fair. The bells the platforms and the pole – they gnawed it rather than scratched it – but it stood up well to the punishment and I just tied the frayed ends back down.
The fabric was decent, not bad quality at all, the construction was just the let down, the top circular platform to pole was fine, it’s this large square base being two halves which let it down. But even then I have to honestly say it’s a hit so I’m only removing one star.
My cat was not interested lol it make a good table
My cat really loves this scratch post. He couldn’t wait to play with it and had a go as I was putting it together. Assembly is exceedingly easy and takes a few minutes. His previous post was made of just sisal whereas this post has both sisal and softer string wound around it. He finds it much more enjoyable and can really get his claws in for a good scratch and pull. The balls are on elastic, which means he can lie on the base and pull them down then let them ping. Much better than balls on string which is what he had before. The whole thing is a bit lightweight and unless he is lying on the base, he does tend to pull it acrosss the floor. It is on tiles though, not carpet, so easy to slide. I will stick some rubber to the base to stop that from happening. All I can say is every time he walks past it, he has a little go on the scratching post or he’ll swipe the ball. He walks past it all the time in and out every five minutes! His recommendation speaks volumes.
A little update. Three months in and, as I suspected, the non-sisal string is fraying and coming away from the post. Geoffrey really loves to scratch hard and is shredding it. I shall need to do a repair job. I used rubber rug grip under the base and it has solved the problem of the movement across the floor. I had given it 5 stars but now shall take one away because of the shredded string.
This is a quite small – and quite tidy scratching post with a small platform above and some hanging pom poms on a string.
My Cat Seamus loves it and has taken good advantage of all of these features .
This is comes at a decent price too, so all in all – good value.
We used to have a much larger climbing/activity frame for our cat but it just took up too much space and over time it had picked up a lot of liquid from the wet food he had been eating and was starting to stink. When we got rid of it our cat really missed it and started scratching furniture. This was a perfect compromise. It’s about a third of the size of last one we had but still gives him something to climb and scratch. It’s surprisingly affordable and unlike a really large one, doesn’t overwhelm the room at all.
Amaizing scratching tree for cats at any age.
Well made and good size. Perfect for one cat.
Good for scratching, jumping and climbing.
Very satisfied with the item.
Good price is well.
Surely can recommend it to all.
Why can I say….
My cat loves it and she should really be doing the review.
We have a kitten 6 months old and he’s happy with this scratching post. It has taken his attention away from the sofa which is good. So far it has been okay but he’s not very aggressive in his play/scratch. I’m aware others have mentioned it doesn’t last so I’ll update if it breaks easily. It can take his weight well but it doesn’t look as robust as it should.
My son has a totally mad cat. she will claw at and climb anything and everything, lol. My son really needed something to help stop the cat from tearing up the curtains, carpets and anything else that even just waves in a breeze.
I ordered this for him to try and although the cat is still a lunatic this unit has at least got her attention and keeps her busy for some of the day and night.
This unit comes flat packed but easily goes together using just a few parts. Once assembled it stays very sturdy thanks to a decent weight of the base and doesn’t take up too much room.
The fabric used for the top and the base is like a soft fur and the post has a firm wound rope that the cat can claw at to keep her nails healthy. When she isn’t just laying on the top thinking up her next bit of mischief the unit has two soft balls that hang on strings that she loves to grab and play with.
This unit is well made and easily put together giving even the maddest of cats something to enjoy.
Recommended.
Comes well packaged in a cardboard box. It comes in 3 pieces that’s extremely easy and simple to put together. Each piece just screws into the other. Stands 43cm high and its widest part is at the base being 40cm x 40cm, the top platform is 30cm in diameter. It looks nice all put together and is quite stable, not going to tip over. The top and base is covered in a soft furry material. 2 little kittens are making good use of it. The scratching pole has been great saving furniture and carpet and they love laying on the top. So far no breakage of the coiled round string and both swinging balls with bells are still attached. They seem to really enjoy it.
This was really quick to assemble and my cats love it. It’s a good size as doesn’t take up much room but big enough for two cats to play with at once.
This scratch post is fantastic! My daughter’s kitten absolutely loves it and won’t stop playing on it. He’s still learning to scratch which this post is teaching him – claws go in the ‘scratchy’ not the sofa!!
It took minutes to assemble, each piece screws into the other, no additional tools are required.
The sisal rope is decent quality. This scratch post is suitable for kittens or small cats, larger cats will find it difficult to stretch out due to the overall height of the tower.
Excellent cat scratching post
Perfect for kitten or small breed of cat
It is sturdy and strong enough for my two large ragdolls to sit on, although they have a larger cat post they use this small one everyday and enjoy using it as it seems to be the right height for them to watch the tv
Well made
Ideal for keeping cat nails down
Two fun pompom hanging down with bells
Good sized wooden based that prevents it from tipping over even with the weight of my large cats
Comfortable fabric finish.
In dark grey (available in 4 different colours)
Great quality
Excellent value for money
Perfect buy for any cat owne
Our little black cat, Oscar, rarely ventures out – with the concomitant effect of him being the proud possessor of some VERY sharp claws. If he was given his way, every chair or sofa in the place would be ripped to shreds!
He’s always had a scratching post of course, but over time he’s managed to reduce it to a bedraggled wreck. This post arrived just as his old one was about to surrender, and it’s a good substantial item.
In addition to the post itself, it has two hanging balls which a cat can bat to its heart’s content. And when it’s tired out from all the scratching and playing, there’s a nice surface on top for it to sleep upon.
Well-made and very robust.
This carpeted cat scratching post looks very nice and is easy to assemble.
The main base is two pieces of wood and only held together by the fur fabric covering so take care when unpacking it and also when assembling and moving it around.
Onto the flat base goes the rope wrapped scratching post which when it has the bolt in feels nice and secure and the cat can press up against it. Then on the top you screw the round top piece which has a fabric wrapped top and two dangling balls with bells for the cat to play with. It is a shame the fabric doesn’t go round the underside of the top so it looks nice and plush from all angles, but I guess as a human you don’t notice it.
Overall, works well and the cat uses it so that’s a bonus, just thought for the money and the box it came in is almost big enough anyway the base could have been one piece.

This goes together super easy, very few bits to put together. Seems to hold solidly so far as well. Nice colour so it isn’t too much if an eye sore.
The platform on the top gives your cat a platform to view the world from, although none of the edges are raised so it’s not really a bed for them. It has 2 fluffy balls on elastic dangling from it to give them a couple of toys to play with. The scratcher material is pretty standard so should last a good amount of time being scratched.
It’s a bit short though, my 4 cats all prefer to stretch up and claw and this isn’t tall enough for them to do it. If you have a kitten or small cat it’ll be good, or if your guys prefer being low when they scratch. Not idea for mine though and it was used as a post of last resort. Price wise is OK but given the size you can get other posts for less.
My cat is very pretentious – I tried all sorts of pillows and floor mats in order to get her to stau there and to scratch so that my chairs could get a break – but it did not work. The first day this scratcher arrived she did not even look at it. The next day she smelled it all over and jumped on it – she has been using it daily since then and I super excited to see her using the scratcher.
This is literally a 1 minute build cat tree that feels soft and not cheap at all. The bottom is quite heavy and could even hold our grown boy (He weighs 5.3kg)
The cat tree has 2 pom poms with bells which our kitten loved!
Great little cat tree!
Really nice item, arrived well packaged in plain brown box. Comes semi flat packed, so you have to put it to together but that takes a matter of a minute to do! It’s a really nice item which has a base which they can lie on and scratch, a white pole leading up to a top base and then two little dangling balls for them to play with! It’s just your standard scratcher! Overall I’ve got no complaint, nice item and a good and fair price!
Meow – I really like scratching this post, it is has a nice wide square base that makes the scratch post very stable, the rope doesn’t break too easily so it should last quite a while. As I am a bigger cat the post is not as tall as I would ideally like for me to fully stretch out when scratching the top. It does have a perch on top for me to sit an watch the birds outside (I will catch one day!) but again this perch is better suited to a smaller size cat as it feels quite wobbly when I sit on it Meow!!
My owner seems to prefer me scratching this instead of the leather sofa – I can’t think why this is? I also like to play with the grey furry balls too …
Our little Peanut likes it and uses it to practice climbing and as a gateway to interesting higher up places. The size is perfect for our smallish flat and inexpensive. Cats either like something or they don’t, so there is no point spending a lot on cat toys/accessories etc.
It was easy to assemble.
The cats loved it but the rope on the post didn’t last long at all. Other posts I have lasted much longe
