For the money, these are excellent headphones. They do everything I need – decent sound, long battery life, relatively small and easy to pack in a bag/rucsac, quality feel, comfortable (if a little warm in hot weather). Of course there are better phones out there, but at less than 90 I was really impressed
These are excellent headphone but the thin strap over your head means they fall off. Even looking down at your work or going to pick up doggy business when out on a walk. So defo don’t get for use when exercising and defo don’t expect it to be stay on your head the whole time! Shame because they are great.
The sound is very good and packs away in its bag to a reasonable size for travelling which is why they were purchased. They come with a connector and wire extension for plugging into a aircraft entertainment system. Fantastic valve for money. Very pleased with these.
Good quality product – materials, build and strength. Sound quality very good and compared very well to Bose products I am more used to. Perfectly fine for travelling with.
After a year of solid, daily use, have now found them to be unusable- a full charge will only last now for about 30-40 mins at most.
Bluetooth performance seems pretty average (on my phone anyway, S20+) but in wired mode is a very decent set of headphones.
Replaced my old set due to wear and tear. These are Light and comfy to wear, I’m not music obsessive but listen to a lot of audio books and the sound quality is great. The noise cancellation is also pretty good. I am a little wary of all noises being blocked out as I like to be aware of my surroundings when I’m out. Could do with slightly longer battery life but that is the only downside.
Very pleased with these headphones, well worth the price. The battery lasts for ages in continuous use, very comfortable and cancels external noise almost completely.
Good sound quality and external noise cancelation, comfortable on the ears and connect easily and store away in a nice pouch. Would have given them a 5 but the head band is quite heavy on your head so it loses a little on comfort. Overall great for the price
Decent noise cancelling performance at a competitive price point (I paid 104) but these headphones aren’t perfect. The biggest issue is that the audio quality is a little flat / dull sounding and it is surprising they received such positive reviews from the likes of What Hifi when retailing at a much higher price at time of launch. The noise cancelling is relatively effective for low level background noise and the compact fold flat design makes them very convenient for travelling.
Pros:
– Compact size, convenient when travelling
– Reasonable noise cancelling for low level background noise
– Good value
Cons:
– Audio quality pretty flat
– Presses very firmly on ears and gets a little uncomfortable / ears get warm
Verdict:
Decent option for occasional flights when active noise cancelling is more important than exemplary sound quality but I can’t imagine using them day to day when noise cancelling is less important.
Bought this pair N60NC after initially trying a set of in-ear headphones from a reputable audiophile company approx the same price. They were terrible, and so searching around, and seeing a WhatHiFi review I gave these overhear models a go. Paired with an iPhone XR and Spotify they are pretty faultless for the price. Great sound and range for all types of music.
There is no audio adjustment or app for these headphones. I have not found a way to switch off the noise cancelling at all when connected via Bluetooth. Based on how efficient it is, my says I cannot walk the dog with them on as I won’t hear anything sounds around me!
Good things: really good sound, option to use headphone jack, really detailed soundspace, sound cancelling is subtle but works well and muffles external sounds when listening to music.
Bad things: Bluetooth 4.x is outdated now, was outdated last year. It has a very limited bandwidth that prevents it from working as a proper headset in your computer. That makes this expensive for what it offers.
At around the 100 price point these are truly excellent. The sound is very decent and honest without giving too much emphasis on ‘extra heavy bass’ like so many on the market. If you’re seeking a pair of cans to blast your ears with thumping processed bass sound then you will likely be easily accommodated elsewhere. These deliver a nice even sound stage (across the high to low frequency range) which is very good for acoustic music (ie non synthetic pop) without hitting the stellar heights of Sennheiser. They are comfortable to wear and look discreet a well as smart. An added bonus is that they function as both cordless (via Bluetooth) as well as with 3.5mm cord (provided) Also comes with in flight adaptor for flying. Good value for money.
I wanted to invest in my first pair of Bluetooth headphones. It was quite obvious that I could have paid at least double the cost of these AKG ‘phones, but I wasn’t prepared to take that sort of a financial leap in the dark. I already owned a pair of AKG wired headphones which I have always thought were pretty good, so I bought these and have not regretted it. For the money, I feel that they represent a very good quality product, with excellent sound reproduction. They are exceedingly comfortable to wear which has enabled me to listen to more music, as I have never actually reached the point where they start to irritate me. An excellent purchase.
These are really good value for money. I had two sets of beats previously, both the wireless stopped working after 2 years and I refused to buy again.
These are really comfy.
Sound quality is great and more noise cancellation than my Beats.
The battery life is not as good as beats, but more than acceptable.
Only annoying thing is, when on there is quite a bright light, which at night is annoying, but not enough that I would not buy again.
I am writing this after a few months of use.
Get great sound from these with very good bass. However, they are quite a loose fit. If I lean over they fall off my head quite easily which is annoying sometimes.
Absolutely brilliant. I got these as a Christmas present and absolutely loved them. The sound quality is incredible and they are very comfy and light to wear. They were more comfy than the Bose over ear headphones I have used in the past. I wouldn’t trade them for a different pair of headphones any day
I’m like a dog with two tails…..love love and triple love these babies….& for the price really solid build quality. Sound superb, noise cancelling not 100% but enough to put a smile on anyone’s face.
Easy peezy lemon squeezy to pair with your phone etc…..so so comfortable to wear too which is a true bonus….what are you waiting for??
Excellent headphones. The noise cancellation feature is superb and with the sound quality they really make you feel you in the room with whoever your listening to. Battery life is good and lasts longer than my old Sony’s. Try them, you won’t be disappointed.
I like these – think I would have preferred the over the ear version – but you can’t fault the sound quality. Noise cancellation isn’t 100% but very good. The quality on phone calls isn’t amazing – but that’s not important to me. They’re great – the minor issues are not that much of an issue compared to the great sound quality
Initially, I did not know what to expect, never having owned Bluetooth noise-cancelling headphones and was somewhat underwhelmed when I started using them. However, the quality appeared to improve through use and I used pink noise on repeat to give them a good commissioning. This combined with playing about with the Amazon HD equaliser setting has made a huge difference with solid base, good mid range and high end delivering a very pleasant listening experience. I would love to compare with an alternative similarly priced set just to know how good these really are compared to the competition. What HiFi 5 star rating must count for something
These are excellent quality both in sound quality and feel. Love ’em
ive had these going on 2 years, they were free with a phone i purchased, they’re were a welcomed luxury. sound good, bass is adequate, they could do with being louder.
charge with Micro-B, something to be expected from a headset from a long time ago.
not worth buying though, because they’re still 100+, but back when i got them they were 260.
get something Sony, these are good but are outdated, save a little more and get some decent ones, or even Air pods Pro as they do everything while being hidden.
These headphones are solid and well made. Good sound quality. I have not tested the sound cancelling because I’m not making train journeys at the moment. Bluetooth paired works fine. Good products
The volume on the head phones does not work . Please can the, seller contact me,asap
Bought for my wife who going a bit deaf and had alzheimers. She manages to use these phones without my help now that I’ve a white dot near the on switch. Which is great.
Most people say I’m very fussy about audio quality and I’m impressed with these. I’d be happy to use them
I had been looking at the NC60 headphones for a while, having owned a pair of AKG headphones years ago, but wanted some with NC while working from home, however, I initially didn’t want to spend as much, so I made the mistake of buying a cheaper brand (OneOdio) on Amazon which had plenty of great reviews, but were actually pretty poor, especially with NC on.
The AKG NC60’s immediately impressed from the moment I opened the Amazon box, even the quality and design of the packaging was significantly better than the previously mentioned headphones. The NC60’s feel of better quality too, and for me, are very comfortable to wear, I don’t think I would use them in the gym though as I feel they might fall off with enough movement. They were easy to connect to my phone and laptop, with a stable connection, and the sound quality was great across a wide range of music types, I wouldn’t say they are suited for bass heads, but they have a nice rounded sound quality without the bass being over powering, even on dance / hip hop tracks. The NC is on constantly when using wirelessly, and combined with music playing isolate most constant sounds (test with the washing machine on), and even drowns out a lot of my constant keyboard noise, there is only so much NC can do though and you can occasionally still hear the faint sound of background talking, but overall I would say they do a great job without spending twice as much, the main thing for me was with NC on there is next to no hiss on quieter tracks / in between tracks / podcasts, which was a major issue for me on the cheaper OneOdio headphones. I also like how these headphones are slightly smaller than over ear headphones, which should make them perfect to travel with.
Overall I just wish I bought these from the start, rather than wasting a week receiving, and sending back, the cheaper headphones. Sometimes you get what you pay for, very impressed.
Very easy to link to any Bluetooth device, and gives very good quality audio and pretty good noise cancellation. Volume controls are easy to access, and another wee switch toggle to next track on music playback. Great having no cord tying to the laptop/ipad.
I purchased this as a gift, following some research into the best noise-cancelling, wireless headphones, and they scored highly for their previously recommended retail price, initial feedback from the owner is that they are very pleased.
Great headphones. Sound quality excellent and easy to wear. The sound cancellation is amazing. Delighted with the product.
Really good headphones and great noise cancelling. Great for working from hone.
These headphones look and sound amazing and are very easy to pair. The noise cancelling is very good as is the battery life. Super pleased with these wireless headphones and in my opinion well worth the money I paid for them.
Great head phones , I’ve had really expensive ones in the past and I will tell you know these are just as good if not better , great sound , comfortable easy to use with long battery life between each charge .
Sound quality is amazing. They are very comfortable to wear and easy to adjust and alter settings. They connect via Bluetooth with my iPhone first time every time and have a decent range. They could do with a little more volume adjustment but other than that can’t fault really them.
Dubious about these due to some reviews. Should not have worried. These are well made, light to use, a great sound. Initially I found pairing could be difficult but discovered it isn’t the headphones it’s usually sorting the source end and then bingo. Once you’ve done it that’s it done. Sit back and enjoy. A quality product from a quality maker. They look good too. You get all you need for a good listening experience. I have had various wired and wireless headphones, so far these are the tops. Of course you could always go and pay silly money for the Name headphones, I tried one pair costing 400, apart from some leather pads etc the sound was mediocre !! It’s your call.
These are very good for the amount that I paid for them. Really pleased with them. Bought to replace an earlier set of AKG headphones that I’d given to a family member.
Only minor issue about these noice cancelling headphones is that you cannot turn off the noice cancelling. It’s on all the time. But the, why would you want to turn it off?
Excellent sound quality. Quite impressed!
Great value for money. Lightweight and easy to use. Look good and great sound. Used on recent flights and noise cancellation really delivers.
This headset sits on the ear and not over your ears, has a good sound and connects to Bluetooth hardware very easily and packs up to a small size for carrying.
Excellent. Small, lightweight, deep rich sound and active noise cancelling that actually works! What more do you want? The buttons are the only thing that would give it away that they’ve been around for 3 or 4 years.
Comfortable, with excellent noise-cancelling and good sound reproduction. Good value.
First pair of Bluetooth headphones and second pair of noise cancelling ones (I had a pair of Sony noise cancelling headphones maybe 20 years ago as a present – they were pretty terrible and put me off the idea of noise cancelling headphones until now). They’re comfy, sound great and battery life seems fine. Pairing them with modern devices is easy. Latency is terrible but I guess that goes with the territory and for listening to music isn’t an issue at all, it’s a bit of an issue for watching video / TV and pretty much a deal breaker for making music. Great for listening to music – really happy with them.
Love these. Sound quality is superb and noise cancellation is excellent for the price.
I would recommend anyone to buy these headphones. Best sound quality at that price.
ot an expert as most arent,, but it is very good for me.
Definitely not worth their rrp, but at just over 100 these are good value. The sound is balanced and clear, I never need to turn the volume up either, they just cope really well. Being on-ear they can press my glasses into my head a bit when worn a while, but lifting the arms of the glasses up helps and this is the same with all on-ears.
Negatives:
You don’t get the nice hard case shown in some of the pictures, the newer case doesn’t fully close around them either, which is daft for a drawstring.
The charging and in line cables are light weight
They don’t hold on very tightly, which is great for comfort, but they can fall off of you bend forwards to pick something up.
Excellent product. My husband never likes the b/day presents I have bought him but he loves this.
All the external noise is cancelled, works really well, wife is very happy
Honestly, these are great. Sound brilliant to me: the sound is refined with a nice, clear punchy bass. They feel really well-made too; not plastic-y at all. As for the noise cancellation, these are my first pair with that feature and they seem very reasonable though I haven’t much to compare it to (thus the 4 stars). The fit is good (they sit on the ear rather than over it) and I can wear them comfortably for ages. I was toying with other much more expensive brands but am glad I opted for these. Paid 123.99 and worth every penny.
wonderfull quality sound from these noise cancelling headphones I highly recommend them
Excellent sound for music, tv and podcasts. Great quality and fit. Battery lasts for ages. Inbuilt mic works on calls and online meetings really well. Noise cancelling is good. Great value for money.
Haven’t used a lot yet. Sound is good but not sure about noise cancelling yet as not been out much with lockdown !! Would say I think they’re very good value.
There is nothing to really dislike about these headphones. I also own a pair of Bose QC35ii, which are far better all round, however you must take into account the price differential, the Bose are around 160 dearer. So working on those figures the AKG headphones are a really good buy and I have no hesitation in recommending them.
Amazing, these headphones have made lockdown bearable and do a good job of cancelling out a significant volume of noisy conversations from neighbours. Only criticism is sound quality is poor when they are plugged in but wireless quality is excellent and they connect easily to smart phone
These may not be reference headphones, and you should not expect such at just over a hundred pounds, but for any other purpose they are above average and a steal.
I bought these for a trip to India which would include some extended road journeys. The attractively designed N60s are intended for travel and come with an airplane adapter. I flew a four-engined A380 there and back and the compact, foldable, cabin case friendly AKGs noise cancellation and on-the-wire sound reproduction made mockery of the “noise-cancelling” Panasonics Etihad supply in Business (Lufthansa provide these AKGs in their business class cabin). The noise cancellation is not absolute but it is effective and very welcome. You’ll wonder how you put up with airline headphones at all.
The N60s, despite being on-ear, were pretty comfortable throughout watching the two and a half hour long “Le Mans 66” on the IFE system.
The N60s made short work of the road trips too, my head immersed in my choice of music, provided via Bluetooth and with the benefit of noise-cancelling and long battery life. The N60s have very good sound reproduction, but its a little bass biased.
I also had some internal flights during the trip, and the N60s were pulled in and out of cabin luggage, unfolded, refolded, hurriedly stashed away, left around my neck through security and so on, and their build-quality allows them to take such inconvenience in their stride.
Brought these as a gift for my music-mad brother – he was so impressed. He couldn’t stop saying how great the sound and fit was compared to his expensive old one. A result, now I need a pair for me – Fathers Day or Christmas!
So easy to use. so easy to pair. Delighted with purchase, have already recommended them
I have owned the wired ones for years when I used to do regular long haul flights. They provide an excellent sound , good NC and are very comfortable they make flights so much better. None of these cancel noise totally but it is like moving the crying baby from the seat behind you to the back of the plane.
I bought these for my son as a present and they have moved onto another level, better sound, wireless and really comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
I bought these for my dad and he says the sound quality is really good – like you’re at a concert!
And the noise cancellation is great too, he cannot hear us when he’s got these on at all
They are comfortable to wear, the noise cancellation is excellent, and the quality of the sound is good and clear. It was a doddle to pair with my phone. The volume controls are simple to use. Great value.
Ordered on same day delivery and arrived within a few hours. Headphones full of charge and connected straight away on bluetooth to a Samsung phone. Sound is good quality and are comfortable to wear. I have all different makes of headphones at different costs and for this price these are really good. Would recommend
Akg quality. Excellent product just a minor doubt for battery life it should last more than 15hkurs
I left my old pair of AKG headphones at the gym and lost them so purchased these bad boys. I loved my other wired ones so thought i’d stick with AKG and upgrade to wireless. They’re not ideal for the gym but versatile enough to use whilst gaming, take calls and listen to music. Great to travel with, although start to hurt the top of my head if i have them on for more than a couple of hours. The quality of the headphones is excellent.
This is my first pair of headphones. I looked through previous reviews and they seemed a good product and well priced.
I’ve not been disappointed so far. They sit comfortably on my head with nice soft ear pads (is that what you call them?), perhaps the ability to make them a bit smaller would be good, but I’ve cut my hair (lockdown haircut) and once it grows back I’m sure they’ll fit perfectly.
The sound is brilliant and the headphones feel nice and weighty, look well made and have easy to use controls. They don’t completely cancel outside noise, but that could be because the ear pads don’t fully cover the ears, however that doesn’t bother me as they cancel out most sound. And I have two young children :-). They connected to my Bluetootg straight away so that’s another tick.
I’m very pleased and use them daily. Would recommend.
Great product with a quality build. Comfortable to wear. Pretty decent noise cancelling and good range of sound quality. Clear high, mid, and low ranges. I really love the pair I bought and glad I didn’t waste money on a more known brand.
Bought for my wife. Cracking headphones, great sound quality, comfortable to wear, easy to use, quick bluetooth connection. So good I have ordered a second pair for myself.
First pair of wireless headphones. Use with my iPhone. Comfortable to wear and the sound quality is great.
Fantastic headphones, excellent audio quality and the noise cancellation works well. I have yet to use them for travel but I’m sure they will make my commute a better experience 🙂 These are comfortable on the ear (much more comfortable than the Beats I had) and these were delivered extremely quickly – thank you!
Bought mainly for the size and noise cancellation – I’ve owned AKG headphones in the past so had a good idea how they would sound…. and the do sound pretty good with caveats.
Firstly Bluetooth connectivity is outstanding in all respects; sound is superb ad droput-free and connectivity is quick and reliable with both my Google Pixel 2 phone and Apple iPad Air 2. Perfect.
Cable connection I expected to be even better but bizarrely it isn’t for some reason, seemingly a bit fussy about the source and very dependant on being powered (ie noise cancelling on). For example it sounds fine plugged into the iPad with NC on but rather thin and tinny with NC off. Connected to The Pixel using Goggle’s headphone adapter it sounds ok (but not as good as via Bluetooth) and if I use a much better adapter which sounds great with my Senhesser phones it sounds truly awful with the AKGs, bass-heavy and very boxy. All very odd.
Not to worry though. Since the Bluetooth works so well I doubt I’ll have much need to use the cable connection 🙂
Excellent sound, comfortable and noise cancelling very effective. They told up neatly for travel
I somewhat rashly gave my almost new Sony WH-1000M1 noise cancelling headphones to The Child as her’s had broken and then bought these smaller and cheaper ones as replacements. At 98 these AKG N60 wireless headphones are very good value and fold up to a compact size. They offer well balanced sound, plenty enough bass for me and well reproduced mids & treble. The treble is bright and detailed enough without being shrill or sharp. The wireless via Bluetooth allows me to connect to my Cayin N8 Brass Black DAP when travelling and to my S20 or S6 tablet. A very useful set of headphones.
Pros: excellent sound quality even with ANC to the point where I often just don’t want to take them off with such an enjoyable sound with the benefit of aptx bluetooth sound quality, ultra comfortable ear pads
Cons: can’t turn ANC off while bluetooth is enabled (but I didn’t find it too much of a problem), if you have a pointy/ridged head these can be uncomfortable to wear; you might need to buy some additional padding then put it in a headband cover then on the headphones – its pretty cheap to do (10-15), battery life could be better but it is perfectly adequate.
Summary: excellent value but some people might need to do some extra work to make it work really well for them.
I bought these in the past for my daughter to use at University. Decided to buy a pair for myself to help cope with the COVID 19 lockdown; around the house and binge watching Netflicks/Amazon Prime/Disney plus etc..
I have wired Sennheiser Momentum 2 headphones which, in my opinion, have better sound than other more expensive brands. I am very pleased with theses AKGs which are almost as good. The N60 NCs have good clarity, decent sound separation and have the added benefit of noise cancellation.
Real bonus; I can’t believe how comfortable they are. The N60 NCs are lighter and put less pressure on my ears than the Momentum 2s which makes extended listening a real joy. Not had any issues with battery life which at 15 hours should be more than enough for most people. Just remember to charge them up overnight.
Being wireless I can wear them all round the house and are delighted with them. I have Cambridge Audio Melomania 1s wireless earbuds which have decent sound, but nowhere near as good as the AKGs. The Melomania 1s are less comfortable but have the advantage of being sweat proof so have been relegated to gym use and ideal for long sessions on the exercise bike.
In summary, the sound quality is excellent for a pair of on-ears, noise cancellation is good but for me, the real bonus is how very comfortable they are.
Highly recommend them.
The noise cancellation is not as impressive as the reviews you’ve read online would have it seem. However, it is there and is somewhat noticeable. It’s usability depends on you as a person. If you want to completely block out all sound then these headphones will NOT do that for you. I use these on the Victoria Line and the train noise still manages to seep through along with little conversation a fair bit though it’s not as pronounced. The NC would have been helped a lot more by making them over-ear with better cupping for additional passive noise cancellation. However, and this a big however, the fact that these are “on-ear” rather than “over-ear” helps a lot when you’re travelling because you can still hear announcements and people talking to you crystal clear (depending on your audio volume) – so the lack of passive noise cancellation may not be a bad thing. I actually quite enjoy this aspect after discovering it.
In terms of sound quality, it was a little lackluster, though definitely not bad. If you were sold on the claims that it has “AKG’s signature sound” – whatever that means- then you need to temper your expectations. There is a clear and noticeable lack of bass, especially at lower volumes. I have some 20 wired Sony Headphones from Argos I got in 2015 and without the ANC active on the AKG’s the Sony Headphones outperform them. When the ANC is active, I would say I only marginally prefer the AKGs although the bass is still lacking. However, I do agree that the sound seems to be a little “richer” on these but it is definitely not something you would really notice.
In terms of the build quality, I really like these. They aren’t too heavy, have a nice look (not too dull, the silver lining and the contrast between the outside finish and the cushion makes it look pretty nice), good extension length and mechanism, and fits pretty well. I wouldn’t say it “hugs your ears” like some other headphones but they do still maintain a good tight fit.
In terms of accessories and mobility, the collapsing mechanism is cool, makes it easy to transport. Though, the case isn’t really good enough if I’m honest. It’s essentially a soft pouch made of some mesh, so if it takes a hit, your headphones will take a hit too. Also, it’s a soft mesh material but it’s not exactly malleable soft. The opening isn’t too big either so it can be difficult to put the collapse the headphones and put them back in without pushing and forcing a little bit. The accessories it comes with (cables) are definitely flimsy (but definitely don’t reflect the build quality of the headphones themselves) and feel like string which can get tangled. This isn’t that a big problem for me, because I mainly use them wireless.
Finally with connectivity, I’ve had no major problems to mention. There was some slight cutting out (litt only some words in one sentence cutting out) whilst taking the underground and a brief moment of sound delay but it litt only 15 secs and it happened once so far.
All in all, I really like these headphones and I am glad I bought them for the low-low price of ~120. They’re great headphones but not as impressive as the online reviews you’ve read would have you believe. But they are also significantly cheaper than most other headphones that offer what this badboy offers.
Looked at various Noice cancelling Wireless units.
Was a bit hesitant about paying a lot more more for items shown as best in class such as the Sony or Bowers and Wilkins offerings when looking at reviews on line.
The AKG NC60 seemed to feature and perform well compared to more expensive models and is “on ear” which is what I was looking for. (hate anything IN my ears and OVER EAR models are heavier, bulkier and more akin to heavy earmuffs which make you sweat.
Placed order for the AKG’s late on Friday – they arrived Saturday on prime.
So far so good. More compact and suitable for travelling than I thought.
Wireless connection…V.Good
Overall feel and sound V Good. Responsive to my adjustments on Spotify with Equaliser settings / bass boost.
Carrying bag , Din cord if you want to hardwire to your phone/tablet, USB charging cable and Airline adapter Plug for in-flight use.
Maybe there not as good as the Sony or BW equivalents….but I rate them highly for the money and brilliant for travelling or outdoor use.
All real good. Great sound quality and surprised with nc.
Coming from Bose to those (first time with akg) , become fan.
I travel a lot, mainly by train and these headphones really do a great job of cutting down the background noise and delivering great quality sound. The first time I used them I was so relaxed I fell asleep and missed my station!
Really like these , compact and light. Fit my ears not to big. Great product.
These worked very well with my iPad, but I wanted them so that my husband could watch tv with headphones, but I couldn’t pair them with my Sony Bravia TV. I watched a couple of YouTube videos to see if I could solve the problem, but could not. I found other people saying you cannot use Bluetooth headphones with Sony TVs, which is a shame. Anyhow, I’ve returned them and have ordered a Sony Wireless speaker and can plug a wired set of headphones into it.
118 is an excellent price for these headphones, but I think they could never be worth the release 300 or the suggested 200, only because of build quality/materials. They’re fine, but they do feel a bit lightweight and flimsy, nothing to worry about at the lower price. Some pros and cons.
Pro – They really sound fantastic, not in I’m sure super audiophile quality league although I don’t think I’ve ever experience that, but they sound better than all other headphones I’ve owned.
Pro – The noise cancellation is brilliant. I’ve got AirPod pros and they beat them hands down for sound and noise cancellation, although the AirPods are still excellent and obviously are for slightly different situations. Also have use of the wife’s Sennheiser mb 600s which are noise cancelling headphones for offices etc, and the AKGs beat those for nc and music.
Pro – They connect between devices quickly and seamlessly, no glitches or drop outs. No need to disconnect from other device, just connect to the new device even if already connected to another device.
Con – They hurt my ears after not too long in use due to on ear design. But so do the AirPod pros in a different way.
Con – Don’t feel overly premium.
Con – Comes with shoddy cheap soft case that will need upgrading.
Middling – Battery life – 15 hours, should be enough in most situations but some more would be nice.
These headphones are excellent in virtually every respect. They do however have one important flaw. I bought them to make my bus journeys more pleasant. Unfortunately, if the bus bounces the headphones sometimes make a very loud clatter. I do not know if this is something moving inside them or the noise cancellation doing something odd. It was enough to make me return my first pair. The replacement pair was the same. It is clearly a fault with the design.
Nice, clear sound. Crisp notes and good range. Noise cancelling helps, but it isn’t as good as my Bose were. They fall off my head quite easily
Amazing sound quality, great bass, best birthday present ever! Although quite small
Bought this as a Xmas present & was told they are the best noise cancelling headphones with superior sound quality too. Thanks
Comfortable and great sound. Perfect choice for a 12 hour flight! Had to purchase as dog got hold of my Bose headphones and these are so much better.
Realy easy to connect to my samsung mobile, tab and television.
I LOVE these headphones but they broke 6 months later. I’m waiting for a refund/replacement.
I will update accordingly!
Amazing value for money. The NC is amongst the best I’ve experienced. Drowns out office noise and I can be sitting right next to the TV and barely hear it. Sound is top notch – bass when you need it, nice sense of separation, and detailed mids and highs.
Add on great battery life and a comfortable fit, even for big heads like mine, and you can’t go wrong.
Can’t really fault this unless it breaks within the year.
Great Product at a really competitive price. Our performs many more expensive manufacturers.
Must be best pair of quality bluetooth, noice cancelling headphones on the market for under 150.
I’ve only used these headphones to listen to my music from my phone so far, but will take them on future flights. The sound quality is very good.
Most other noice cancelling headphones that I have seen in this price range and more expensive ones rely on being a tight fit over the ears to improve noice cancelling features making it a very uncomfortable experience. The AKG N60 is very comfortable and has a sound quality of a Bose with the compact design to fold and fit it in any small backpack.
The only cons would be the size of the ear piece means it’s not completely covering your ears and will fall off if you are running / jogging or bending over. If you are ok with this trade off, go for it.
Great headphones & very comfortable. NC is great for a non fully ear covering pad. Takes does a few days to get use to the NC as it can be a bit weird & “sea sick like” if your not use to it. Time will tell if it’s sturdy enough but at the moment it’s seems pretty solid. All in all a very good product. I got mine from Amazon for 89 quid off so a really good bargain.
I am extremely satisfied with these headphones. The sound quality is great, with well balanced performance across all genres. It is definitely not a pair of headphones for fake boosted bass lovers: the bass comes out clear, warm and strong without artificial added deepness.
The noise cancelling system is impressive for on-ear headphones: you are not totally isolated (which is something I don’t need) but you notice the difference in terms of the listening experience and background noise removal.
I am definitely happy with them for sound quality, noise cancelling, portability and comfort. Great job from AKG
Beautiful and functional headphones. Nicely packaged. Bought for my wife fir occasional use – particularly on noisy flights.
Excellent headphones. Ordered through prime so next day delivery. Great sound quality on par with leading brands only at half the price. Easy to set up. Good battery life. Fold away neatly into storage pouch to avoid damage
Bought these for my daughter to use whilst revising for exams, she sent me this photo along with a comment “haven’t taken these off all week” what more is there to say!
I bought these to replace some other noise cancelling headphones that didn’t really cancel the noise at all. These AKG’s had far superior noise cancelling and great sound, I used them for a few days and several hours at a time, but eventually, they start to become uncomfortable after extended listening. Unfortunately I have had to return them and have a more expensive ‘over ear’ set on order.
Great quality build, connectivity and sound but the noise cancellation is pretty limited. Lets in upper mid range frequencies and can’t cancel loud volumes (i.e. a bus driving past). To be expected with on-ear and not over-ear (like Bose) though I suppose.
Good value at 150 or less (they were originally 250 when launched).
Excellent sound quality. Connection for wireless use is a breeze and noise reduction is very good. Comfortable to wear and light-weight.
Thes are a great pair of headphones – the noise cancelling is great, works very well without effecting the sound quality.
The sound quality itself is great, there no muddiness at the low end and the high end is never shrill or brittle.
Battery life is awesome – I flew London to Dubai with an added 3.5 hour bus ride plus hanging around the airport for 3 hours, roughly 13.5 hours playtime on one charge.
Unit also feels quality – i just tope the rubber by the headrest doesnt wear out as it it on my previous AKG Y50 uni
