Easy to install. The app is quite good also. The only issue I see so far is the fan which is way too loud for a bedroom/ living room. I had to unplug the fan, now I’m looking to change it with a silent one.
This Annke CCTV box is a replacement for a Zosi which started popping capacitors and you could never watch footage back in the Zosi app, i had to swap over the HDD as this Annke box does not come with a HDD which is so easy, working well with my existing Zosi cameras.
So the Annke box and app is working well at the moment, the only negative is that the cooling fan is a bit noisy, i`ll look into changing that at a later date, that`s why a four star rating.
This was my third ANNKE product upgrade as they keep getting better and better as technology advances. However, I had cause to seek help with ‘Human’ and ‘Vehicle’ recognition issues. I was lucky enough to have my call picked up by TIM in their Technical Department. He initially sent screen shots explaining what I already knew. However, he understood my issues and was frank enough to explain that some options were reserved and still in development. (I would rather know have that than be given the run around!) Tim didn’t give up sending further information and advice on how to achieve my goals, something I have now achieved. For once contacting a manufacturer AFTER they have your money was a very positive experience. That enforces my decision to stick with ANNKE products.
Excellent replacement DVR takes up to 8 analogue cams with up to 4 IP cams at the same time (can be reconfigured for more IP only. Cameras). Motion detection works well, system & software appear very stable in operation. A great upgrade from the earlier DT81DP unit.. My only dislike at the mo is the restriction to using the ANNKE viewing apps like “Guarding Vision” and “Annke Vision”, although they work OK, theyre not my favourite remote viewing apps for local network streaming, but ANNKE have upgraded the security on this DVR system so only registered users can view the camera streams – all other non Annke apps I’ve tried to date won’t work with it, as the box itself seems to restrict what app can connect to it, including the need to “share with other users” by the primary admin account etc. This is the worst feature, as its a bit restrictive, but does work well and adds extra security so not really a negative – just different to what I’ve been used to. Otherwise an excellent piece of kit. Also should add that ANNKE support is excellent, they always respond quickly to any queries, and offer helpful advice and workable solutions to any problems encountered. Overall, very happy with the product and back-up.
Nice and neat, easy set up with simple menu driven help. Good value for money.
Il DVR privo di hard disk, ma questo, acquistato a parte o, come nel mio caso, riciclato da un vecchio DVR, facilmente installabile senza la necessit di particolari competenze. Facili i collegamenti e sufficientemente semplice anche la configurazione di rete e del dispositivo (almeno nelle funzioni basilari). La app per smartphone non male anche se la ricerca delle registrazioni (che, almeno nella configurazione standard, sono disponibili dalle ore 0.00 del giorno in corso) poco precisa.
Happy with the DVR so far but had to do a little mod to make the internal fan quiter,

We had problems setting up our system, and with the help of Echo Technical Support they sorted out the issues, I have no problem in recommending Annke and Echo Technical Support, will definitely be buying more cameras to added to my system.
Set up was very quick and easy, installed a 3tb wd purple surveillance hard drive, formatted it and set the recording definition and whether I wanted constant or motion detecting and it works fine. Only issue fan a little loud but it’s doing it’s job so no real issue.
I would certainly buy again, better than the Swann it replaced.
Replacement for similar that packed up after 5 years. One with drive installed and other installed own drive. Easy to do. Like the remote control again easy to use. Fan is noisy but encased in ventilated lined box so sound reduced. To install go very slowly and follow instructions exactly with the wizard that could be a bit more step by step. As usual they think some things are obvious, they are not.. Moose makes it easy to use but take time and write it all down, passwords etc rather OTT. Cannot work out to get it on net yet. Best for simple home systems. BTW it self learns, after a while it stops asking for passwords and diagrams, just press esc to go back.
Works well, easy to set up, but I found it hard to set the clock correctly. After going through all parts of the menu I eventually found how to do it. Once set correctly the clock changes from summertime to GMT automatically using the internet clock.
This DVR was very easy to setup and worked first time. The system menu is impressive.

Once it’s up and running , great . But adding it into my cameras was not easy .
You need to understand computer jargon and abbreviations when reading instructions.
Value for money best cameras I have ever had great picture and easy playback off my phone would highly recommend
