After months of searching for the best CCTV for my home I found Annke to be the best available in the current market. Night vision is very impressive picture quality is outstanding really is a great product. Easy to set up.
edit – after being in touch with supplier they have kindly swapped the faulty equipment for new , all newly installed and working well , customer service agent was very helpful and understanding in resolving this issue
overall this is a decent camera system , the problem that i had was the ethernet connection to the cameras are supposed to be waterproof and i had these set up per manufacturers guidance but 3 of the 4 cameras encountered water damage over time at the connections
A fantastic product, very easy to wire up and set up, day and night pictures are great, 4k is what was needed, you can zoom right in to see any faces or number plates. Works really well with the Annke Vision app giving notifications of what cameras can see, which allows you to what the clip remotely. So good about to purchase another system for my garage.

After a few issues with the camera’s everything has been resolved over the last few months.

Very easy to follow instructions to set up camera’s and base unit. Plenty of cables provided to run around a whole 3 bed semi and back to base unit downstairs. Keep in mind the Base is hard wired to your WiFi box. Picture and sound quality are amazing night and day. App for phone easy to use on android and iPhone. 3 day free loop storage is ample for us but easy to upgrade if you need more.
Well..let’s startvery happy with productpros4K cameras are great..picture fantastic..each camera has microphone and records sound too..if enough light then colour video in darkness is also fantastic..see pictures etc.I’ll post two of each – all at night ..believe me when I say they were taken at late at night etc.the video recorder is also well made and easy to set up etcthe whole package has enhances the security around my house for problems I had with neighbours etcthinking of getting more cameras as system is expandable etc. Cons remote is disappointing as software took me two weeks to understand what to do etc..yes easy to record and play back but the extra settings needs more time to understand and remote does not navigate the menus very well etcI’ve gone back to using the mouse etc. The app is easy to use and plays al, cameras live etc..although play back and rewind videos recorded don’t work very well might be my broadband connection or mobile signal can’t cope with 4K recorded videos etc..that said I also have learnt that it could be the sub stream set to high quality etcsub stream being playback not live stream etc.also the Ethernet cables I choose not to use as I purchased better outdoor cable that was also coloured black instead of grey etcall in all I was glad I bought this system and paid more money for the better quality etcyes it takes time getting use to the interface ..could be better .. but I’m well happy etc..cameras are well built and weather proof .been running for a month now and no trouble etc. I would buy again etcnote..software allows for blanking out areas for not recording ..and where motion alerts can be zoned out etc..ie moving trees etcwell packaged..not tried Annke support as all working etcI .still need to play around with some of the settings etc psset up on the table fresh out the boxthen it’s ready when you install cameras outside etc..god luck
I did the typical male thing and checked and checked the reviews for different systems. This one seemed to be a good one. It was all well packaged. The toughest part of installing this system was routing the Ethernet cables from different parts of the house to the DVR. This is harder if you are wanting to hide the cables. Once this is done the set up process was very very easy. I plugged all the the cameras into the DVR and then the DVR into the WiFi router. Worked straight away. Setting up the app on your phone was easy and I didn’t need to refer to the instruction booklet. The footage when switched to 4K is very good. For anyone willing to put a little work in then this is a good system so far. The DVR does get a bit warm but it is constantly working. The night vision is clear although not colour.
Great quality cameras however I had a few technical issues which were resolved by the amazing support team at Annke.
Would not hesitate to purchase another Annke product, 5* service.
I was looking to buy Hik Vision system, my nephew as one and it looked really good quality product and image. Then fortunately whilst I was researching different systems I came upon this item Annke I thought I would give it a try for half the price of a Hik Vision. I am glad I did the image quality is brilliant. It as not got all the refinements of the Hik Vision system, however in my opinion it as all you need for a good domestic and small business system. Would not hesitate to recommend it.
The quality of the camera system was far better than expected, and good allround easy to use, however one camera and a port on the recorder did not work, and problems getting recorded video to play on the app meant it was returned. The manufacturer did offer to replace the broken items, but it was easier to return the order, customer service is great and could not have been better, they offered lots of options to exchange and replace, and good support is available if you have trouble connecting items.
Excellent package. Easy to install and good picture quality. Motion detection works well with few false alerts but took a little refinement to obtain the right sensitivity. A simple to use system and well worth paying that little bit extra to get 4k cameras.
Easy to set up. Good quality system half the price of Hikvision. Can’t tell the difference.
I bought this camera set to replace my 4 channel 2mp kit.
I really cannot get over the difference in quality and ease of use. Had the units up and running in about 2 hours and the ability to control everything from my laptop now is great.
Only negative i have so far is with the motion detection but a bit more tricking around and I am sure i’ll get it sorted – certainly more of a nice to have for me.
Would highly recommend.
This product is amazing the picture qualities is just as good when you zoom in to see the finer detail and so easy to set up even a novice like me can do it and they look high end quality
Had this install for a few months now, set up and configuration is really simple but also has the ability to do very complex things if you need it to. Integration with the app is great and useful for when out and about.
Motion detection alerts on the phone are great and easy to view quickly. The preview image that is displayed allows you to easily see if it you need to review the footage or if it was just a cat. Overall very impressed with the product.
For anyone who is looking for DIY CCTV system this is an excellent choice. The POE makes it easy to install with just a single cat 5 or 6 cable. For me this was an upgrade from an older AHD system. The test for me is can you read a car number plate at night and you can ( unless the camera is straight on to the number plate as the IR just reflects off the plate) but, at an angle the detail both day and night is superb. Nice user interface as well and can also be accessed via a mobile app, web browser or pc / Mac application.
Really easy to setup and the quality is great.
You also can access a days worth of recordings from the app which most other ones I’ve used in the past dont let you do

My security system provides clear images, both day and night for all-round home security! Their product design specifications are clearly impressive, with solid cast aluminium cameras bodies and well sealed Ethernet connections, for extreme weather protection. Operating software is very easy to operate and very responsive for a true plug-and-play POE system! Thank you ANNKE.
This system gives very clear images from the 8K cameras. Night vision is also good although I did not choose the version that gives colour at night. My son had the same system and installed smoothly. I made a slight mistake during set up but great support from Annke has ensured I have all 4 cameras operating normally. This system replaced my previous lower grade one and I am very pleased with it’s quality.
Had these for around nearly 2yrs now.. running non-stop.
I’m very tech-wise and don’t generally even take the instruction manuals out the box for anything and that was also the case here, but they really are just a plug and play CCTV kit.
With mine I’ve also routed all the wires through the attic so nothing trailing and very neat.
Great quality videos and playback (depending on what recording setting you have it on).
The instructions say that you should only have 1 camera on full max resolution, but I have run all 4 before without an issue but I do find the recording and playback can be a bit sluggish so I’ve reduced 3 down a bit to help with this. May try swapping the HDD out for a fresh SSD at some point to see if this helps recording/ playback speed but not needed.
Caught many things on them from wildlife to annoying neighbours do completely stupid ignorant stuff, so defiantly worth it just for the laughs/ piece of mind!
Motion detection can be a bit naff to setup as can be either to sensitive or not enough but you can use the grid to mark out areas pretty well. I don’t use the alerts option either as where some are they would be going off all the time.
Cameras are also heated so “shouldn’t” and haven’t frozen over in winter time.
App works great, but doesn’t do very recent playback well, found must be around 20min+ for app to playback.
Only thing I couldn’t and still can’t get working is the colour night vision.. no idea if it’s even an option but it’s advertised but not in settings.
Also wish these recorded sound, that would have been great.
Would buy again, or would like to purchase/ obtain a more expensive CCTV set to compare quality!
Excellent cctv system,could be a bit more user friendly for installation settings. still making adjustments to installation settings but overall excellent picture quality
I bought a POE system for security & it fits that well & I can run and monitor it from laptops or mobiles, however i found the installation instructions lacking and frustratingly lacked detail. The ANNKE helpline was useful but slow due to timezone delays.
Bought this for third of that price and paid 120 to an Electricain for installation

I would suggest to watch couple of YouTube video for final camera and DVR settings.
Very good system and fairly easy to fit depending on your DIY ability and where you want the cameras and system. When fitted it is very easy to set up and the picture quality is good, I need to mess around the with settings a bit more but it’s much better than HD options. The down side is the app. You can only watch footage back in normal speed but the function on the system is very good. All in all, I would easily recommend this system to anyone.
The setup for the first camera was a bit tricky but nothing that reading the instructions a couple of times couldn’t sort out. I did contact the supplier to say I had an issue and they responded within 24 hours as they state, by which time I had sorted the problem out. Put an hour to one side to sort the first camera out then the rest you can set up in just a few minutes each. There are many configurable parameters with this kit so take the time to go through each one to optimise your system for your requirements. The instructions are very good, in English. I gave four stars for picture quality as I find it difficult to reach the full potential of the cameras in preview mode.
I bought this system a while back now. Installed it myself everything is plug an play.
It all worked excellently, the motion detection also. The support service from Annke on Facebook helping with any questions, how to set up etc is great.
I’ve just had a camera with a fault where it has started turning off randomly and they tried to troubleshoot it. It didn’t work so they are just replacing the camera for me.
Can’t fault the system.
Excellent quality , I use in shop , the best system ive had and this is my 3rd system to date .
Mobile set up easy , .
You do need a fast UPLOAD speed of arround 10 mbps to see 4k on your phone which is amazing quality , but on any thing less stick to 1080 as 4k freezes .
I also now only have one wall socket in use as before I needed one socket for every camera meaning 5 wall sockets .

The camera it’s self is amazing quality and easy to use and setup. The NVR is good and quite, the only let down is doesn’t work with new Microsoft Internet so have to use IE11 also doesn’t have Ftp either to write to server. Hoping they update this soon. Other than that excellent camera.
good overall performance of the CCVT during the day. night visit is good but a small amount of light can make the image blur up.
This CCTV system was easy to install. I had a few questions which I contacted Annke about, however they have unfortunately not yet answered. The cameras have a great wide angle.
I never used the included ethernet cables, they are cheap, nasty and very thin. I ran dedicated ethernet cable from a patch plate in my 19″ rack to RJ45 ports in my loft then made up short trails to go from these to the cameras (using the included glands) This made the installation neater. Bear in mind if your using these at 4k video quality you want quality reliable cable.
Improvements would be;
1. You can add third party IP cameras (I added Hikvision), although these cannot be powered by the NVRs POE ports. You need to power these separately. They are pretty easy to connect though, as the NVR will detect them.
2. When first set up, the cameras kept cutting out, there is a section where you “turn on” each POE port this corrected the problems.
3. The ANNKE vision app only allows you to view ANNKE cameras that are connected directly to the NVR. So third party cameras are still connected and recording they just cannot be viewed remotely for some reason.
I have been using Annke products for years now. There products are 10/10 and there support and customer services is amazing. I found a small issue with one of the camera. Customer service were helpful and due to the fault sent a replacement.
Very impressed with the system, very easy to setup up too as long as your OK with phone apps.
Good quality pictures and good for motion detection feature great for security.
The motion detection is activated by rain and changes in light which causes lots of nuisance alerts. Other than that the system is very good.
I’ve used it for home security, very similar to other nvr/DVR for setting up . Gives you control over schedule and motion very easily. A little bit disappointed that the nvr dosnt have the same motion detection parameter than the actual cameras have if you was to log on to each camera but after a couple of evenings dialing in the parameters , I’m getting alot less false activations so time will tell about the reliability of the cameras .
Setup was a doddle and i didn’t need any tech assistance. Navigating the menus is very easy also and there are many options to fine tune the installation for your needs.
Its also very adaptable, the system can be adapted for many additional devices such as sirens, automatic dial out, email notification etc.
I have read other reviews which condemn the fps or quality for a 4K system, but for me its absolutely perfect.
Its feels like a good build quality and the cameras are largely from an aluminium construction. The design is very similar to a Hikvision system, so much so that i am beginning to suspect they have come from the same factory.
The app is very intuitive and fast to connect to, it can also interface with iPhone fingerprint recognition.
The only issue which i experienced is not being able to get enough angle on one of the cameras which is covering the drive (it will not turn 90degrees when side mounted on a wall). But i made an adaption plate which overcame this.
I hope the longevity is good, but time will tell.
Using it for home protection. Not bad quality for the money
The image quality is superb. The extremely wide angle view of the cameras is very impressive. Very easy to set up install and intuitive interface in use. Very impressed with the zoom feature – extremely clear close ups. Highly recommend this Annke product as the best I have seen. Worth every penny.

Daytime video and night vision on them is excellent.Had a query on one of the cables and was sorted out by Smart home brand store who supplied the system straight away and with no fuss.
Still playing with the settings but up and running with no
problems.A good 4k system at a reasonable price.
In general this is an excellent CCTV system, my only negatives are on how sensitive the motion detection is (far too sensitive) and the fact it doesn’t have any software to enable the system to recognise humans over cats etc
The instructions supplied with the equipment could be better but customer services can direct you to a good instruction video.
Frame rate is only 15fps at 4k resolution, so it could be better…. but I paid 480…so not bad
Ethernet cables are a bit cheap… thin plastic covering, which doesn’t stand up well to pulling through confined spaces… So be aware… Buy some better quality items if you’re doing this
I installed my camera under the eaves…one per corner… then ran the cables into the loft and down the side of the soil pipe!
The NVR is quiet…… loads of options
It allows you to connect the ANNKE Nova camera too which is great
Night vision is so much better than Arlo

Straight forward installation, as plug and play as you can get. Would recommend for ease of installation, configuration, cost, ease of use and picture quality. Download recommended app and you can view camera channels and alarm recording via mobile away from house/premises.
You can see from the photo the clarity of footage when two unknown hikers strayed onto my property, I was able to review while 3,000 miles away on another continent and establish that there was no serious problem.
I haven’t set up all the features yet and will update when I have more experience with the system.
