I have used mine for ~4 months and it’s performed really well for me. 2 things you should know:
1) the fans are louder than you’d expect. Not with a turbulence type of sound, but they have almost a digital sound to them that is apparent from the moment they start spinning. Probably something to do with how they are modulating their speed since they are almost louder when starting up than running full-bore. If this is in an environment with other sounds, you won’t care, but inside in an office or bedroom, you likely will.
2) Bafflingly, the unit completely shuts off when it runs out of power and doesn’t turn on again without manual intervention. This is a really poor choice. Like a real off-grid inverter, there should definitely be an option to have it (as an example), turn off AC and DC outputs when the charge gets below 10% and turn them back on again (if they were on) when it goes above 25%. This is pretty standard behavior on other inverters in this price range and it means that this unit really can’t reliably be used if you aren’t around. IE if you have it running some things in an off grid cabin and it runs out of power when you aren’t around, *it will not turn on again until you show back up, no matter how much charge it would have gotten in the meantime*. This may not be important for you but it does mean that for some use-cases it’s not fit for purpose when in every other way it would have been. 🙁
Purchased our Bluetii for our RV, so we would not have to run our generator all night for medical equipment. It worked as expected on our first trip. We feel we have not used it to it’s full potential yet. Also, purchased as a backup to electric grid.
Bluetti hit a home run with this unit. Flexible solar charging voltage and good capacity. AC inverter great for running my portable air conditioner. Combining with B300 batteries for capacity, cables connect easily. Use it for emergency backup for hurricane prep. Great for night use. Will charge with solar and gas generators for quick charging.
Ive been using this for a little while now and have zero complaints. Great quality. Feels and looks really solid. Works well with the app and hasn’t let me down in various applications from running an enclosed trailer exhaust fan to running a 12 volt bilge pump to empty a hot tub. Recharged completely in about 2 hours (plugged into 110 v outlet). Very happy with this product.
I’ve only really needed to use it once during a scheduled power outage. I was able to use my instant pot to fix dinner with and use my laptop during the outage.
I own a property services company and use this to charge my dewalt batteries and to run power tools! (Hammer drill, chop saw, Sawzall etc.) I was very hesitant to purchase this given the price, i didnt want to be disappointed. I’ve been using it for about 4 weeks now with moderate to heavy use and I’m still at 36 percent battery! My tools run at full power when plugged into the Bluetti ac200max. This thing is a beast! I’ve yet to buy any solar panels, but I believe with one 200w panel this will cover my daily offset! Everyone I know who has seen it is making plans to purchase at least some version of the Bluetti!
So far so good , powerful power in a small box , 30amp trailer ran everything I needed
Plenty of power to last a few days running 2 CPAPs. Will be working to add solar charging and an extra AC charger.
Well designed.
Easy to setup and use.
Larger better lit led control display angled upward would make it easier to use and interface when placed on floor.
I’m satisfied with the produc
I’ve been working with (Renogy) solar for over 6 yrs and the continued advances keep coming. This product is one of those advances. Yes a little pricey and yes a handful at 62 pounds however you definitely get what you pay for in this amazing product. I didn’t get an additional battery but that is on the wishlist. Ty Bluetti!
Will keep minimum electrical items running in house when power is out. Can recharge with generator, or AC when power comes back on, or can simply set solar panels out in sun and wait till recharged.
This is for when it doesn’t make sense to run a generator all day and/or all night. Charge batteries and use BLuetti till battery gets low, then start generator up and recharge Bluetti battery.
Best thing – The battery has many options for different situation for both input and output of energy.
Worst thing – It is very heavy (61.9lbs)
Great piece of kit,I’m running most of my small electrical goods from the Bluetti, travelling kettle, toaster, induction hob as well as charging all the phones and laptops. Keeping it topped up with 4×120 watt solar panels “which I could double”at a later stage.would highly recommend .
I recently decided to try Bluetti products coming from using similar products from another vendor. I’m impressed with the build quality and admire Bluetti’s modular approach. I purchased a B300 battery to add additional capacity to an AC200MAX and wanted to purchase a second to max out the run time. Knowing I can repurpose the B300 battery for use with the A300MAX at a later time is very appealing. I also intend to use the B300 as a standalone power source for 12V coolers… great for those day shopping trips that including picking up frozen items from the clubs.
The price was lowered shortly after buying the first B300. Sarah with Bluetti was amazing and refunded the difference in price and offered even more savings on additional products I wished to order. It is exciting to find a company in 2022 that not only has a great quality product but awesome customer support. I’m now a Bluetti loyal customer and gave my prior non-Bluetti gear to a friend to get his feet wet with solar and backup power.
I do a lot of camping and have solar panels on top of my vehicle, this unit is one of three solar batteries by BLUETTI for emergencies and a smaller one for my camping needs, this model in my opinion, beats all the competition for the price point, great quality.
Tons of reviews by several Youtuber’s. I need portability and expandability. Nice getting everything from one mfg. Kind of pricey but if you can’t build your own. These type systems are the way to go. Bluetti quality is top shelf.
Got this for a backup power for our freezer and Refrigerato
I love this Power Station. It has great power and last impressively long. It really depends on what you have plugged in. But all the different outlets makes it pretty much ready for anything. It’s a bit heavy but it is what it is. I will be getting the other 2 modules to add to it soon, that’s how much I love it. The RV community would really love something like this.
Great investment. Did some trial runs with power output and charging options. is suitable for my needs in a power outage or emergency on the spot power needs in areas that are remote. Suggest getting a minimum of two to three solar panels as the rating for output on panels far exceeds the actual output. Is quite heavy and also recommend some sort of cart or dolly to transport it as the solar panels ain’t that lightweight either. I will be looking into getting the additional battery banks to increase the total WH capacity but cost of those is more than the power station for one battery bank.$4000.00 for two more to expand it to full capacity. Power station cost was $2300.00 with one 200w solar panel. Additional battery banks at $2000.00 each and two more
200w solar panels at $500.00 each. You’re looking at around $7500.00 for about a 8800wh solar powered power station that will take a couple of days to get a full charge on it even with three solar panels. I highly recommend not using more panels as you could exceed the capacity and short the entire unit out making a $7500.00 paperweight. Research your needs vs capacity before you purchase, and don’t buy in panic believing this Will be all you need in a SHTF scenario. I recommend you also look into some sort of another backup system if this is what you’re buying it for.
Good product! Very disappointed the b230 battery didn’t come with its own wall charger.
Love portability and inverter size. Will upgrade to the ac300 soon. Wish I could put more solar to it. 900w is nice bit 2000w would be better.
Quality unit that let’s you power just about anything . Charges fast & easy to use. When the grid goes down again I’ll be ready.
Just got delivered. My first solar generator and I’m impressed with it. Came to say that the TT-30 tpolarity issue so widely discussed online a few months ago was not present on my new unit. The AC charger is also a beast, if not a bit loud with both an in-fan and an out-fan on the converter box.
The honest truth is that solar is just not at traditional fuel’s level. (yet) Bought this unit for 1800 for my airstream, and while yes it can run the AC system it ca only run it for 1 hour or so. THATS IT! If i have my panels plugged it in might get 2 hours. Here are some notes they don’t tell you.
1. when AC power is turned on , the inverter alone uses about 220 watts !!
2. no matter how many panels you get it only can intake 900 watts of solar
3. no solar panel is close to 100% efficiency , not even 90% , i bought 3 200 Watt panels, and get 400 watts max input in the desert . Clear skies full sun .
4. My AC units running watts is 1700 , plus the 250 of the inverter , that 1950 running watts , at 2200 rated , you can do that math.
5. If you are using it for light load it can work perfect
6. we use its as shore power for the trailer in the evening , if we want to conserve the on board battery .
7. quiet way to recharge the trailer batteries or our devises
on the other side of coin , looking at harbor freight 1 3500 quiet predator 800 dollars, or 2 2000 watts generators with kit 1000. you can run AC 7.5 hours on 1 gallon of gas. they are quiet ,and when AC on in trailer you cant even hear the genny’s .
I tried the solar battery , didn’t do my calcs properly , now i learned the hardway. I guess now i have a back up .
Great portable power bank. I have this set up in my 2020 4Runner to power my fridge in the back along with other accessories.
Note: You can’t charge this battery directly from the 4Runner’s 120V outlet since the 4Runner’s outlet is not pure sine wave output. I’ve since installed a 700w Renogy pure sine wave inverter in the 4Runner and can now re-charge this battery at the full 400W + 350W Solar 🙂
GREAT PRODUCT TRIED TESTED AND GREAT want to buy one b300 can you sell it to me
I’ve been enjoying my Bluetti this past few months. It works great! However, I just tried charging the unit using the car charging cord and it doesn’t work. I tried changing the fuse inside the cord to see if that was it, and I can’t find a fuse that fits properly. I reached out to Bluetooth and they promptly sent me a replacement cord.
I’ve bought two of these. The newer one seems to have a better display even though they’re the same model. The battery does not seem to last as long as I would expect it to given the 2000+ Watt rating. By comparison, my EcoFlow Delta seems to last longer given the charge capacity of 1200 Watts. The Bluetti has a better app that you don’t need an account for whereas the EcoFlow doesn’t even work with the app, which they don’t tell you. Overall I know the Bluetti is the better deal due to the battery composition and expected life of the product, but it is pretty big relative to the EcoFlow and seems to have a lower power density. Another gripe is that it doesn’t seem to register output unless it’s at least around 40 watts, so if you plug anything smaller than that into it the unit will actually read as 0 output and shut off automatically after a couple hours due to not recognizing that anything is drawing power. This is not the case with the EcoFlow Delta, which seems to register watt output much lower than that.
Bought the AC200 MAX with a B230 external battery, a reliance 10 circuit transfer switch, a tt-30 to L14-30 adapter and 1100 watts of Renogy solar (over-paneling). Went all in with zero regrets.
Recharging at 900 watts by 11:30 am and batteries are back to 100% by sundown. Will be adding a second B230 after the price comes down a little.
I run most of my home on this set up 23/6, including my full size fridge and deep freezer. The future second external battery should get me to 24/7 with some to spare. My normal daily, passive usage is 300-400 watts at any given time. This means that this current system (AC200MAX+B230) will last all day while charging and all night with zero charging, if I rarely run big power items (coffee maker, air fryer, microwave, death ray, etc.).
Pros: Too many to mention. See above.
Cons:
-Wish the inverter was 3000+ watts.
-No wifi connectivity. Bluetooth only. This means you will not be able to see what’s going on while you are awayremote.
-No trend logging. You will not know how your unit performed hour by hour or day by day, unless you are watching when it happens.
Charges fast and ran my RV refridge for 8 hours. Does what it is suppose to do and it is easy to use. Have not been able to charge it with solar due to the wind…. But soo
The App is Bluetooth only so range is short. It would be better if it was wifi enabled as well.
NICE PRODUCT – best solar generator out there. Great company & customer service!
So far this unit does everything as promised. I have used it to run lots of stuff and not had an issue. Two issues are it’s heavy to move and if you leave it on the standby power consumption is 1% an hour, which I thought was alot. Wifi would have been good but bluetooth works well.
I bought this to take with me on my camping trips where I have no hook ups. It works great for everything I need and I can hook my trailer directly up to the 30 amp plug. It even runs my AC with no problems. The only thing that you need to do to run an AC is install a soft start on the AC unit and you’re good to go.
Couldn’t be happier with this unit…super quiet when running ..customer service is superb (Thanks to Amy) service dept returns emails in a day…classy outfit and have tested electric griddle, coffee maker microwave and other things…….strong generator which can be expanded…..so far so great!
I really like this except you cannot turn on via Bluetooth, you can turn off via Bluetooth but not on. Other than that the unit is really good.
I’m having trouble keeping the unit charged. Eco mode is off and the unit shuts down before it’s completely charged. I’m considering requesting to return it to the seller. I really like it but I’m concerned it may not last. Really not sure what to do.
Update. Working things out. Seller has been exceptional. Cooperative an helpful. Having a slight issue. The seller is helping me solve it. Would definitely do business with them agai
I purchased the Bluetti AC200P about a year ago. The intent was to have it provide some backup power during an outage but also to be used nightly to run a window AC unit. I can keep the rest of the house a little warmer and just cool the bedroom. I purchased one of the most efficient window units I could find and the AC200P was able to run it for about 6-7 hours during pretty warm nights. I also had to run the AC using grid power to pre-cool the room. I needed to expand the capacity of the AC200P so that I could run the AC unit longer. I also did not like running the AC200P down to zero every day. The B300 expansion battery provides the capacity I need to run the AC unit all night long. The B300 will also provides enough additional capacity to run the AC200P during power outages. I used to worry about buying one of these products and then seeing a newer and better product come out. With the B300, I know that I will still be able to use it in the future as I eventually hope to purchase another B300 and the AC300 to complete a system for my future needs at an off-grid cabin. And from what I’ve read, Bluetti will offer future products that will be backwards compatible for B300 usage.
I was concerned about having a big item with sensitive components shipped, but the B300 came packaged really well with a box within a box and thickly padded foam inserts. Even the outside box also had stiff cardboard edge supports to help during transit.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the B300 as I’ve been running test charges on it and using it to supplement my AC200P to power various items.
I USE ALMOST A MONTH NOW. WORK FINE CHARGE UP TO 900W WITH 1000W SOLAR PANLE.
BUT THE FAN WORK EVERY 30S WHEN YOU CHARGING AND USE 300W. MAKE NOISE AROUND YOU WHEN YOU WORK. AND MY WIFE DONT LIKE THE SMELL. IT SMELL BAD FRON THE UNIT. NEED TO OPEN THE WINDOW WHEN WE USE IT.
UPDATE AFTER 1 MONTH
BULETTI CUSTOMER SERVICES CONTACT ME AND GIVE ME THE INSTRUCTION.
I MOVRETHE UNIT TO MY GARAGE TO USE. IT SEEM THE SMELL IS GONE. I MOVE BACK TO MY OFFICE.
THE SMELL IS GONE!!
I BROUGH THE EXTRA BATTERY AND I LOVE IT NOW. I LOOKING FORWARD TO USE IT WHEN I GO TO CAMPING.
This unit exceeds my expectation. The size is more compact than I expected. Very easy to use and understand. The display functions are very informative and allow me to see exact energy input and output. Cant wait to connect to solar panels and have backup power and not rely on a gas generator.
Also the unit arrived in very secure packaging. I was a little concerned about the weight, but it arrived in excellent condition.
It works I got rather addicted rather quick. Picking me up another B 300 battery here in a couple weeks. Running or off grid cabin air conditioning refrigerator microwave. The weather is definitely cheaper than Tesla 10 kw
Thank you BLUETTI for all your suppo
The AC200Max is an outstanding unit with barely any competition. I did my research for almost a year reading about most units sold and available to me. My research looked into the 2Kwatt units available. After all the time spent, months worth, I decided that Bluetti had the best technology and record for my needs and investment.
I received the unit and packing proved to be excellent. The unit had no harm and all components came in the box per description.
The AC200MAX has 2000W inverter and a TT-30 amp RV outlet! Now we are talking about a truly functional device to help my wife and I enjoy off the grid , boondocking time in our RV. AC200 is a 2048 watt beautiful solar generator. You can plug your RV into this and be able to use appliances, ie. coffee maker, coffee grinder, microwave, instapot, fan, watch TV, Blueray, radio, lights, charge cell phone, laptop, TWS earbuds, the list goes on and on.
I have to tell you, one of the coolest tricks I did with the MAX, I got my coffee pot ready for morning, turned it on and plugged it into the MAX. There is a Bluetooth app, when my alarm woke me the next morning I opened the AC200MAX app on my phone, turned on the AC power and my coffee pot started brewing!!!!
This unit can be charged using:
1. Wall Charger
2. Car Charger
3. Solar Panels
4. Battery, Gas Generators, etc…
I will be able to charge all my electronics withe the power of the sun, I am so excited to have this, my second Bluetti Power Station!!
Buy Bluetti, promote Bluetti, use Bluetti
The old lead acid batteries quit storing power, only last two hours after the sunset. I switched to Bluetti B300 to replace the batteries. I gave it 4 stars because of only 200 watt solar input.
I have been using the Bluetti AC200P for about a year. It’s been faultless in this time and the only thing I wanted was to add additional battery power. Hopefully, this is at least in part resolved by the B300.
I connected it to the AC200P through the solar input and a cable that Bluetti provided free of charge. Once you hold the power button down (it did take me a while to work that out!), it charges the AC200P at about 600W. Which is more than enough.
I’ve attached some photos (excuse the mess!) and the two units are strapped securely into a “tray” I made for them. I have my AC200P plugged in to a 12V fusebox with the 25a output. This powers my fridge, heater, water pump, lights etc.
In an ideal world, I would have the AC200MAX which enables you to treat the AC200 and the additional B300 (or B230) as one battery and will charge with one input and see everything on the display. Unfortunately, with the AC200/P you are a little more limited. But I’ve been happy with my AC200P and didn’t really see the point of upgrading to the MAX just for this convenience.
I have it set up in my camper van with as mentioned, everything plugged into the AC200P with all the charging going into the B300 via a fixed solar panel into the B300 DC input and it also charges from the engine via Bluetti’s DC charge enhancer at the same time. Hopefully, this will keep the B300 charged up and the AC200P charged as a result. The only issue with this setup is that you cannot see the solar input going in on the AC200 display. The on-board solar charging is a good reason to go for the B300 over the B230 in my opinion.
In my experience, powering everything mentioned above, I use about 900WH a day. This means I should get 5/6 days of completely off-grid power without any solar or charge from the engine in winter.
As an additional note, I have heard of many of the first batch of these being damaged by couriers. I am pleased to report that I had no such issue and it all seems to have arrived free from damage.
Overall, I’ m pretty happy and it’s doing exactly as described by Bluetti. Giving my 5KWH of battery power. Although it would be nice to have the MAX, the way Bluetti have tried to make it as backwards compatible as possible is appreciated and means I’m more likely to upgrade when the time comes.
Expansion battery came two days earlier than Amazon estimated the delivery date and had a 60% State-of-Charge (SOC). I went through the calibration steps (fully discharge, fully charge), then tested it with my AC300 and AC200P. Both solar generators easily utilized the expansion battery in their respective fashion. Overall, I am very pleased with the flexibility this expansion battery provides to power either of my solar generators in emergency situations. I can even charge and use this expansion battery by itself, to power 12vdc devices, laptops, my CPAP machine, and USB devices – all without the need for a solar generator. Charging this expansion battery was easy via 120vac and solar panels! I like the Bluetti products and own three of their solar generators! Thank you Bluetti for a robust expansion battery!
First off, I just want to commend Bluetti for the way they package their products. We know these days, that with the massive increase in home deliveries, that our packages are abused more than ever by the delivery company’s. I have purchased the AC200p along with 3 PV200 solar panels direct from Bluetti, and my EB70S from Amazon. I have now, also ordered the B300 through amazon. All arrived in pristine shape due to being packaged very well. Bluetti double boxes their products in heavy duty cardboard, along with some serious closed cell foam to protect your purchase. Every purchase arrived in pristine condition. My order arrived very quickly from a US warehouse. I have also had good results when I have needed support. I have always received prompt responses to my questions, no matter how trivial they may have been :). This B300 is going into service alongside my current power stations, the AC200p & EB70S. They are primarily charged up with my 3 PV200 portable panels from Bluetti. With this setup we can camp comfortably for a week running my dc fridge and charging anything else we might need. We have also used this setup to run a projector to watch movies during our camping trips with great success. When we are not using them for camping, I use them at home to charge all our devices. I also have a transfer switch installed into our main circuit breaker panel, so that the AC200P and B300 can be used to power important loads during a power outage at home. I’m eventually going to add some rigid panels to my roof so that I can easily keep my Bluetti power stations powered and save the folding solar panels for my camping trips and emergency use only. Looking forward to the time I can extend my capacity with a few more B300’s. If you are looking for flexibility in your solar generator system, as well as a company that provides prompt support and stands behind their product if you have problems, look no farther.
I have been struggling with the setup of my Bluetti AC200MAX and two B230 units for a few weeks. Not being an electrician hindered a little bit but not much. I slowly started testing the capacity of the generator by adding first one full size freezer and letting it run for a couple of days. No problems. I had to charge the unit by house current because I could not get my five PV200 panels to charge correctly. The video instructions found on the Bluetti site are outdated. The connectors on the two lines coming from the panels to the AC200MAX are reversed on my unit. However, it was explained to me today by Bluetti to disregard the video and connect the wires, male to female, irrespective of the color.
Now, my unit is operating perfectly. Last night, I had a full size freezer, a full size refrigerator and a full size refrigerator/freezer connected to the AC200MAX for 14 hours. The batteries started at 100% and this morning were at 60%. I connected the five PV200 solar panels and left the house for three hours from 9 to 12 noon. In that time, the batteries were charged back to 100%!
I had some difficulty in getting the information I needed to adjust things but yesterday, Amazon advised me to correspond to the manufacturer through Amazon’s system. This I did. Now, I have all the information I required and am 100% satisfied with my purchase of the whole Bluetti AC200MAX and B230 system!
Bottom line – this unit, fully charged, ran my 25 cuft freezer for two days. Had 15% of the charge remaining. Get a couple B230 batteries to go with it … the set up should run your whole kitchen for a day or two (being frugal and watching what you run simultaneously). Recharging the unit is a snap. 4 200W solar panels charged-up this unit in 6 hours (mid America, February afternoon sun). And, you can charge and discharge at the same time.
I have been buying products from Bluetti for over a year. I am very happy with their sales, products and especially their service. I have communicated with them many times and get a very quick response. I have gotten to know many of the support people by their first names and I feel they know me an my needs personally.
I own 1 AC300 solar generator, 5 B300 batteries, 2 B230 batteries, 1 AC200Max, 1 AC200P, 1 EB55 and 1 AC10.
We live in the Palm Springs are where the most important part of electrical use is Air Conditioning. No A/C no survival. Our biggest fear here is a GRID DOWN situation due to a major earthquake or terrorist and/or war scenario or weather related. I study GRID SECURITY NOW! website that educates us to the possibility of losing our electricity for a long period time. I have over 23000 watt hours and 20 solar panels to keep my A/C window units and refrigeration and fans and communication alive.
Sunday I watched 60 minutes and they did a series on THE GRID. This reinforced my plan to prepare for a scenario that would leave us without electricity for weeks or even months. My Bluetti equipment is here to save our lives if this were to happen. We are also stocked up with 6 months of food and water, TP and survival equipment along with Grid Down Bluetti survival Solar generators and Batteries and solar panels.
At this time I use and test my Bluetti equipment every day. I use my AC200 Max and B230 batteries for television and fans. I use my AC300 and 4 B300 batteries for Window Air conditioning units that I use daily mostly after 4 pm and all through the night. Then I start charging them again in the daylight hours. If there is not sun (we get 300 days of sun a year here plus) I have a 7500 watt generator with propane or natural gas that will charge the batteries quickly and efficiently. I have a second 5000 watt generator (propane) as a backup. I also have 10 large propane bottles and a natural gas house hookup.
I probably have $20,000 dollars invested in Bluetti products for survival and I look at it like insurance. My fire insurance costs me $1100 per year and my earthquake insurance costs me $1200 per year. Bluetti is my GRID DOWN insurance plus I use it daily to save electricity cost when electricity cost are rising at exorbitant rate with no sign of slowing.
I am a prepper and survivalist and I feel Bluetti has the best quality product and my confidence in their backup and support make me and my family very secure.
THANK YOU so much Bluetti Company and the entire Staff.
I was able to run a power saw and shop vac at the same time. Using this as a power source for an off grid shed. It does everything I need it to do. Probably could do even more.
If you use the AC power adapter, that fan is a little loud and runs even after the device reaches full battery. Wouldn’t want it close to somewhere you want quiet.
First and foremost…
The AC200Max is an outstanding unit with barely any competition. I did my research for almost a year reading about most units sold and available to me. My research looked into the 2Kwatt units available. After all the time spent, months worth, I decided that Bluetti had the best technology and record for my needs and investment.
I received the unit and packing proved to be excellent. The unit had no harm and all components came in the box per description. I did purchase a single 200 watt Bluetti Solar Panel to test the Solar Charging ability; I’ll get into that shortly.
Simple enough, I pulled the unit from the box and turned it on. It had about 60% charge from factory. All powered up and lighted on per included manual. The manual is simple with good illustrations and numbers to reach for support and extra parts.
This unit can be charged using:
1. Wall Charger
2. Car Charger
3. Solar Panels
4. Battery, Gas Generators, etc…
I plugged the wall charger and proceeded to follow the manual to top it off the wall. This is where the labor pains started; NOTHING HAPPENED. No matter what I did, the unit did not charge using the wall charger. The wall charger worked good giving a 57.4watt reading at the tip (within specs range).
I wrote to Bluetti through Amazon and directly to Support and within a day I had an answer. That was a relief since I was expecting a long and tedious wait. Support was quick to suggest testing Car Charger and Solar Charging to verify any further issues.
To my surprise and due to my ignorance, I had only purchase a single P200 panel which was not enough to trickle the unit into solar charging….I was kindly suggested to purchase a second one which I promptly did. Support was quick to move heaven and earth to make it happen ASAP and I am very satisfied with their help.
The car charger worked good, no issues. I was still out waiting for my panel purchase to arrive so I continued testing what the wall charger issue could be. It was not long before I found out that the AC200Max units had been having a reverse polarity issue at the 30Amp socket. I tested mine to check if mine had the issue and surely enough it did. I emailed Bluetti support on the matter and surely enough they did answer right away… I have to commend them on their prompt responses, they are quick and that was my experience.
Support engaged with me back and forth emailing for weeks trying to figure out what the issue was. I am technically oriented so my idea of the problem took a different north from theirs but understanding their expertise, I kept shut and followed instructions which they did send.
Support also went to the extreme to replace the wall charger and also sent parts to fix the reverse polarity issue of the 30amp socket. I am talking fast response and shipping. I was, still waiting on the panels to be delivered…
More weeks into it, and many emails more, communications stopped. No more. I have been writing to Bluetti but have been placed on the ungrateful list (my opinion). Their support on the wall charger has stopped no matter to my efforts. It’s a shame….
I gave up on them and though they were very courteous all the time. I have not changed my opinion on the product, it is solid and extremely high quality while competitive.
If only they knew that being left out in the dust with no support, other than send the unit back for repair/replace at your expense, became the solution to the problem.
I have to tell that I proceeded to take maters into my own hands. I followed a few emails where the unit is opened and which led me to safely and surely understand the innards of the unit. Once open, I found that my first suspicious was right where it was merely a cable at the wall charger port inside the unit. Easy to spot and easy to fix; plug was in and unit working. It took the wall charge about 2 hours to top of the remaining 40%. I estimate the time since I was out doing some errands.
Today, I have my 3 solar panels, wall charger, cables, car charger… everything works as it should and the unit is safely stored. It saddens me that it was not the units fault. Inside an envelope I found a little piece of paper that certifies the unit as being inspected. It evens tells you which inspector was…
Are you thinking what I am thinking…?
So, finally, this is my story. Would I buy again… I did. Am I happy with support, NO… and YES…

I say go for it and keep your receipt…
I have a 2012 Arctic Fox 29 foot camper trailer. I got rid of my 12 volt batteries, got rid of the battery charger / power supply, installed a couple of solar panels on the roof, installed a 30 amp automatic transfer switch, hooked the camper to both the 12 volt 30 amp power supply and 120 volt 30 amp power supply and this thing is the one-stop-solution for my camper. If you are curious about details, here you go …
* I disconnected the camper from all power – including the 12 volt batteries.
* I disconnected the 120 volt, 30 amp power supply line from the main breaker and attached a short piece of 10 gauge wire from the main breaker to the output of the automatic transfer switch
* I connected the wire from the camper’s 30 amp shore power to the “generator” side of the automatic transfer switch (the switch prefers the generator, so I used that side for the shore power so that my camper will prefer shore power)
* I used a 30 amp male outlet and attached a short length of 10 gauge wire to it. Then I attached the other end to the “shore power” leg of the automatic transfer switch.
* I attached the supply line from the battery to the 12 volt 30 amp adapter for the Bluetti
* I plugged in the 120 volt 30 amp plug as well as the 12 volt 30 amp plug into the Bluetti
* I mounted 2 solar panels and connected them in series (Negative from the first panel into the negative jack for the Bluetti’s solar port, positive from the first panel to the negative of the second panel, and the positive from the 2nd panel to the positive jack for the Bluetti’s solar port)
* I plugged in the solar adapter and set the Bluetti for solar (as opposed to the 12 volt car charger setting)
* I powered everything on and watched it work
I wish this unit came with the 12 volt 30 amp adapter – it’s a $20 accessory. It seems like that could be included, IMHO. But just know that if you are going to do a setup like this, don’t forget to order the adapter.
I also wish that you could charge via 12 volt cigarette lighter and solar at the same time. While you *can* charge from the 120 volt power supply and the solar at the same time, the solar and the cigarette lighter use the same port. It’s one or the other.
I don’t love the 10 Amp cigarette lighter. I was hoping to use that to power my 12 volt air compressor to air up my camper’s tires and my air bags, but it draws just under 20 amps, so that’s a no-go. I also don’t love all of the proprietary plugs. It means that you have get all of your accessories through them. So you can’t just run to an automotive store and get a plug if you neglect to order the 12 volt 30 amp adapter. You have to order it and wait for it to arrive.
Lastly, the power supply as a fan that runs continually. If it weren’t for that, I would have been tempted to connect the power supply to the shore power so that when I plug in at a campground, it would charge automatically from the campground’s connection. But having that fan running constantly means that I need to manually plug it in if I want to charge, and unplug it when I am done. Not a deal breaker, but also not great.
I did test even my high wattage 12 volt devices like my furnace and the motors for my slide-outs and the lift jack. A little electrical math: amps * volts = watts. So the 12 volt, 30 amp outlet can power up to 400 watts. I never saw my usage rise above 200 watts, so (at least for MY camper) this outlet is enough to power my camper. That was one of my biggest worries, since I really didn’t know how much draw some of my 12 volt accessories would require. All of my lights are LED, so that does help. A few high-draw lights can rack up the watts pretty fast.
I do love that I don’t need any heavy lead acid batteries anymore. I love that I can easily unplug this from my camper and take it home with me and use it as a backup power for my home in case I need it. I discovered that my camper’s built-in 12 volt battery charger / power supply were horrifically inefficient. With a pair of fully charged batteries, and running nothing more than the camper’s furnace, the camper ate through 2,000 watt hours in one night. It should only have used about 270 watt hours – meaning it wasted about 1,730 watt hours through its inefficiency. So I love that this system is FAR more efficient. It’s also really cool that I can plug 4 USB A devices as well as a USB C device and charge my phones via 2 induction pads. The 100 watt USB C is especially nice, since I can plug my MacBook Pro into that and leave my power supply at home. You can also plug in 2 additional batteries at up to 3,000 watt hours each, for a possible total of 8,000 watt hours. That’s a ton of battery.
I used to use a famous AGM battery for my camper. At 660 watt hours and weighing 43.5 lbs, it would take 3 of those batteries and 130 lbs to equal the capacity of this unit. And lead acid batteries shouldn’t be depleted past 50% if you want them to last. They also don’t have as many charging cycles in them. To duplicate this setup, I would have to purchase 3 of those batteries, an mppt charge controller, and a 2,000 watt pure sine inverter to duplicate this setup. Even then, it would be missing some features.
Please note that you need to pay attention to the load (wattage) of what you are plugging into your camper. This device has 2,000+ watt hours and can power up to 2,000 watts at one time. If you have a device (like a microwave) that draws 1,200 watts, that means it will draw 1,200 watt hours in one hour. Let’s use another example: My furnace draws between 60 and 75 watts. If you divide 2,000 by 67.5 (the median between 60 & 75) you get 29.63 – which is how many hours this device will run the furnace continually before the battery is completely dead. Of course, you don’t want to run your battery dead, so you need to do some math and figure out how much solar (or additional batteries) you need so that you can stay ahead of the game. The Bluetti will help you by telling you how much it is drawing so that you can get an idea of how much electricity various devices are using. (If you turn them on one at a time, this is a good way to figure out what each device draws.) But I’ll say right up front that you shouldn’t plan to run high wattage devices like air conditioners on this unit. Even with the maximum solar, you won’t be able to stay ahead of the game. My refrigerator and water heater are also dual power, so I make sure to turn them both to propane before I unplug from shore power. But if you are looking to do some off grid camping and if you are looking to be frugal with your usage, this is a great unit to keep your camper running and maybe even use your microwave to heat up your coffee in the morning.
To sum up: I’m pretty damn impressed.
So I just got my Bluetti AC200max and it’s awesome. I have checked everything as soon as I received it. I will include pics as well as I just don’t want to be another post and say this is great, or I had problems with delivery or issues. I’m not about that. So in my defense, I also am not saying, Im a know it all either. So besides posting this and watching a gazillion videos, I also want this to be informative and supportive of this community as well. I received my AC200max as you see in these pics and it looks very nice. I checked current status, and it came with 53% charge. I checked settings and everything looks good. I set date and time, checked solar and connections, all looked good. So I first tried to use solar and only got 17 watts but it was close to night time as well as we were about to get a rain storm as well in its defense. I hooked the Ac200max to grid charge and it was amazing as you see in some of these pics. I also had seen in some of the comments about heat issues or power brick getting hot, I checked this with a thermal gun and it was a steady 81 degrees. No heat issues what so ever. I built a anti static platform for it and its amazing. Now as far as the cons, a little heavy, and I think the cables should have been a little bit longer. I have also found out that mine has the Reverse polarity problem, I have tried to contact Bluetti support but still no answer. I think when I finally take it out in the boonies it will come through on much more uses.
(currently editing the unboxing video, will update this review once fully rendered)
The AC200MAX is a really solid offering from Bluetti.
A bit of background for context –
I do not camp with these, I do not use them lightly. I live completely off-grid in a mountainous rainforest and reliable power is, well, super important. I’ve got through several brands/types of battery all the way back to my giant, unwieldy 12-volt SLA 8 battery setup. (and that one didn’t come with handles) so, I’ve been down several roads, several configurations, more than my share of heartbreaks due to unthought out, unupdatable products.
With that said, let’s get to the review of the AC200MAX:
There are always pros and cons, and who doesn’t love a quick list (TLDR)
PROS:
* Outstanding packaging: My box was damaged upon delivery. Something punctured both the outer and inner box. I was a bit disheartened, but when I opened, not one single scratch on the unit.
* Display: Touchscreen! (super cool) Things have really improved over at Bluetti labs, this display is nothing like the smaller units. This gives a nice % of battery remaining, charging watts (Grid and PV), dispersing watts (AC/DC) I’ve attached a screenshot of the Android app, have a look. Cool powerwall type animations as well. (it’s the little things)
* Battery life: With the AC200MAX, I’m getting the watt hours I’m expecting. There is always an overhead for internals / inverters etc, but I did not find them to be extreme or unexpected with this unit.
* Bluetooth: This will allow me to integrate with my home automation server to get, well, data. I LOVE data.
* Data: Speaking of data, the display lets you monitor just about every little tiny thing you could monitor!* Build quality: I’m going to have a hard time breaking this one. This was a really well thought out design. Proprietary wiring, but most brands do have proprietary wiring and sockets so in the end, not at all a minus for me. I just need to keep track of the cords.
* Solar charge time: Amazing. Please see below in the CONS section for the bit about solar charge time.
* Customer Support: I can’t tell you how much I love Blueitti’s support. They REALLY listen to their customers – in fact, your suggestion really does have a good chance of making it into a build (as long as the suggestion falls within product spec)
CONS:
* Charging time: At 2400 watt hours, it will take a bit of time to fully charge. Seems to be around 4ish hours on grid alone, substantiallyless when you add in a solar array. Seems to cap at about 480 watts from the grid, but even in the winter snow (2″ on the panel) I was still pulling in 95 watts from the PV’s, so I’m really looking forward to summertime. I’ll never turn the gas generator on.
* Power LED: OK, I am stretching the use of CON here, but the halo light around the power button is really bright. Again, firmware update could (assumably) make this dimmable.
* Power Supply: Like the smaller units, the power supply fan runs constantly, even when the unit is at a full SOC. I use an automation routine from the Home Automation Pi to get around this, so at least for me, this is a non issue. (yes, you read that right: I’m off-grid with a fully automated cabin)
Now, that’s not a lot of CONS, and every one of them has NOTHING to do with the unit itself, nor would I not purchase this AC200MAX because of them. Like I said above, they are all solvable, and none are blocking.
Overall, REALLY happy with this unit and am looking forward to what Blueitti has up their collective sleeves for the future.
Very versatile power output choices in DC, AC, and wireless charging. Camper output, too!
This unit allows adding addition power capabilities up to 8192Wh with external battery packs through 2 connectors on side of unit. if your needs expand. Unit can be charged by solar, AC grid, and car battery! The unit weighs in at 62 lbs. which is because of the LiFePo4 batteries, which are safe, reliable, and rechargeable 3,000 cycles or more. This batteries have a life of 10 years or more. I have found it easy to use and operate. Customer service has been good, but I have had no serious problems at all. Sturdy build and though heavy can be move easily using 2 built in handles that are located in a good position. Comes in handy for power lost situations and outdoor camping! I really like the range of capabilities of this unit! I have bought 2 of them and both have worked flawlessly.
I have purchased the AC200P and a AC200Max and I have been using them for 2 months and they continue to work great! I have recently tried charging them with solar and AC adapter at the same time at that works great for getting a quicker charge if needed.
They have come in handy allowing me to live through a couple of approximately 12 hour power outages and are good to have when camping.
I am very happy with my purchases after 2 months of use. I we add another update in 2 months!
Title: PACKED WITH POWER AND FEATURES.
One of the main reasons I purchased the AC200Max is because it’s capacity is expandable to a whopping 8,192wh. Now that’s a lot of power, not to mention the upgraded features that are packed into this unit. It can be charged multiple ways…using the included AC wall outlet adapter or car charger, by solar panels, or with a lead acid battery. It can also be dual charged thanks to the integrated dual charging system. What’s also really nice is that you can charge it with only one solar panel. Charging is slower with only one panel, but it’s a nice option to have if you cannot afford to purchase multiple panels all at one time. This makes it feasible to be able to purchase one panel at a time and still be able to charge your power station. The upgraded MPPT controller can handle up to 900w of solar input and it also has a built in TT30 (RV30) outlet designed especially for those living life on the road. RV and Vanlife enthusiasts can use the TT30 outlet at nearly any RV park or campground in the United States or Canada.
Another really nice feature that the AC200Max offers is that it supports Bluetooth and it can be controlled by the Bluetti Smartphone App where you can easily monitor charging and manage the power distribution remotely, which makes it super convenient in today’s world. Some of the other features this unit boasts are 4 AC outlets, 4 USB outlets, a 100w PD 3.0 USB-C for quick charging your devices, or if you prefer, you can charge your devices cable-free with the two built-in wireless chargers located on top of the unit. It also has a power-saving ECO mode option accessible through the touchscreen menu that will automatically turn off the AC output if the load on it is less than 50W over a span of 4 hours. The touchscreen menu is super easy to navigate and very user friendly. This powerful beast is packed with enough power to go completely off-grid. It even has the power to recharge your Tesla or e-bike. Whatever your scenario entails… from your smartphone to a power outage disaster, to your Tesla, the AC200Max is sure to meet you needs. With the superior LifePO4 quality, reliability, and expandable capacity, Bluetti has you covered.
I am very pleased with my purchase of the AC200Max and I’m looking forward to using it on my adventures and taking advantage of that expandable capacity when I am able to add it on. Having the option and capability to expand the capacity, the convenience of using the app remotely, and having a TT30 outlet make the AC200Max well worth purchasing. There’s just so much you can do with this much power. Whether you’re going completely off-grid, or traveling the country utilizing the RV30 outlet, it couldn’t get much easier with this power station. This easily makes the AC200Max the power station of choice for my family.
