Bought this to replace an ancient B&D jigsaw, wish I’d done it years ago. Absolutely brilliant jigsaw, powerful and accurate and the dust collector works fine. Add the fact that Amazon were selling it at half price and it really becomes a steal 🙂
This is a replacement for my original one , which served me well for most of my working life
,( kitchen fitter ) I’m now retired and it finally decided to die.
Part of professional series the build quality and feel is quite sturdy. It comes with 144D blade pack of 5 which is good for soft and hard wood so you can start work immediately. The dust extraction set is misnomer it’s just an extraction pipe attachable in assembly. Overall good product.
Note, do not use same blades for metal or stone, check Bosch website
If, like me, you’ve spent years using a cheapy generic jigsaw because it’s not something you regularly need, the first time you cut with this will be like using a decent chef’s knife to prepare a meal.
Great quality and feels very solid
As jigsaws go this is up there. I prefer this to my makita. Its a big heavy lump so needs room to operate (working in situ under a kitchen sink is too much to ask!)
The weight is a positive as it keeps the base grounded. The standard bosch quick change blade system is good. The blower works well and the pendulum lever is easy to operate. The jigsaw gets 10/10. The one and only slight issue is the box barely has room for the lead. Not a problem given the quality of the tool
Well balanced and weighted jigsaw, cuts smooth and air jet blows dust away from the cut to aide visability, comes in sturdy stack box and all in all is a pleasure to use.

I bought this as a gift for my husband. He absolutely loves it and said it was very easy to use and precise.
My old Bosch died years ago so I bought a Hitachi…. It cuts ok but not in a straight line so I gave up after it went off line by 10mm and bought this. What a difference, cuts straight and easy to use, cannot go wrong with the professional tools and even though I am retired I still buy good tools, nothing worse than buying cheap DIY tools.
These are so robust. Really good quality. So easy to use . Feels nice when cutting . What you’d expect from bosch.
The dust extraction nozzle does not fit properly, and will not neatly slide in, needing to be pressed awkwardly to get it in.
The dust guard is very fiddly to put on, and poorly designed.
Used for diy projects and so far finding it excellent with softwood, ply and mdf. Good depth of cut, accurate and easy to handle. Perspex splinter guard is a bit fiddly and took ages to fit but that aside very happy so far. I’ve used Bosch for nearly all my power tools for many years as an amateur woodworker/hobbyist and always find them sturdy, reliable and reasonably priced and this jigsaw is no exception. Would recommend.
Been wanting one of these for ages to cut out lettering from plywood. Quiet and hardly any vibration in my hand, so great when using it for a long time. The cut is very smooth too. I would definitely recommend this jigsaw.
It’s oft said that a bad workman blames his tools, yeah, well, it’s possible that they are just rubbish tools. I’ve been steadily putting together a garden workshop and upgrading my tools as I’ve gone along. Even with the diy shop own brand stuff I’ve done ok for a hobbyist but seemed to be totally incapable of getting a decent plumb curve cut with a jigsaw…then I bought this! Wowzer McWowzer, I knew I could do it! One of the last power tools I upgraded was the occasional use jigsaw and now I’m trying to think of how to make everything I do have a smooth curve cut in it. The tool itself is on the weighty side but good golly miss molly, it’s accurate. The base plate is sturdy and the whole thing is surprisingly smooth to use and as with all the bosch tools I now own, really nice in the hand. Rather than ragging it’s way through stuff it just nibbles away like a beaver with the weight being a blessing for control not a hindrance. The dust blower works well and blade change is ridiculously easy. If I sound to be gushing it’s only because I knew all along that I had a good eye and a steady hand but jigsaw use was beyond me. Great machine, great results and a box to store it in!
This is the best jigsaw I have ever had. Its easy to handle and speed control in the switch makes intricate cuts easy and accurate. Very pleased with this jigsaw.
Well, it’s certainly well built and does the job. I can’t complain about that. What I can complain about are the useless bits of plastic it comes with. One is a blade guide that just falls off! I never tried the other. Still not a bad saw though.
Good value for money, works great so far. The only complaint I’d have is that the blade change mechanism needs a bit of a push to go back sometimes (when it gets dirty) but that hasn’t been a big issue so far.
I found this item excellent both in ease of use and quick cutting of large 4×2 wood lengths.
Bought in the flash sale 89. Comes with one blade it will last my bosch hammer drill is still going strong 7 years site work. Cuts fast feels sturdy.
Had a look at the options and decided to go for this one. I am a big fan of Bosch and this has exceeded my expectations.
Only downside, there was no warranty card with it so I’ll have to get in touch with Bosch and ask them what I need to do.

Much larger sturdier and more powerful than I expected. An excellent jigsaw that plows through the wood as if it wasnt there.
Quality item, much cheaper than other suppliers. Professional items also come with a 3 year warranty (once registered with Bosch). A delight to use, cut 3 new worktops exactly as required, item replaces a bosch jigsaw that has provided over 20 years of service.
Glad i went with this one and not a cheaper model. I suspect this will last a very long time.

The tool is well made and easy to use and to change the blades . I would have liked it to have been equipped with a LED light to illuminate the blade and the pilot line on the material being cut . The carrying case would benefit from being made a little stronger .

I found this jigsaw very good. Easy to adjust the angle and insert the blade. The dust extractor connected to my Festool dust extractor. The only not so good point is the safety glass (mentioned by another reviewer). When this is in place, I found I couldn’t see the blade. So, as a safety feature not good and room for improvement. Otherwise, excellent tool. That is the only reason I haven’t given 5 stars.

Very good fit. Magnetic clip is brilliant, not bulky like other cases. Only very slight annoyance is that it’s very close to the power button which makes it a bit tricky to use with my big fingers.
Nice tool but you have to be gentle with it. I cracked the front plastic blade holder after 1 use. I had to glue it with a gorilla glue.
This is the perfect entry for a DIY’er into owning a professional quality Jigsaw. It comes in its own sturdy box so that you keep the jigsaw and it’s accessory all in one place. I have owned it for around 3 months and have been using it over the weekend’s on my pergola build. Cuts through construction grade timber quite accurately. I have done curve cuts, notches And even square holes on timber boards. And it works just fine. I have also done a video review on YouTube for those who are interested in watching it. Excellent cutting saw that stays true to the line. Very smooth and extremely quiet motor with very little vibrations. No bells or whistles just a great solid workhorse. I use it in professional situations all day and this is better then jigsaws 3 times the price. Lead is slightly too short and no work light but other then that top notch.
1: A better saw than most people will ever need.
2: A clear clip on dust extractor shroud (treat it carefully, it should last years).
3: A clear anti-chip plate (these are consumables, easy to use, easy to find and inexpensive if you find you like them)
4: A black plastic dust extraction nozzle (supplied fitted, it is no hardship to leave on the saw even if you don’t hook it up).
5: A simple manual, lots of pictograms, supports lots of languages.
6: One sample Bosch multi purpose blade. These are about 1 each, worth every penny. People complain that you only get one…honestly the saw is where the money went.
There are no lasers, if you want a LED, put a torch on the bench. Instead of gimmicks, you get quality engineering. When you pick the saw up, it feels like it means business before you even plug it in. Feeding it a blade and electricity confirms that this is very well made machine.
The variable speed trigger is really well implemented on this saw, the blade change is very simple and quick ( Bosch invented the jigsaw, and the SDS blade change system). The shoe is steel, very sturdy, no sharp edges (and is easily covered in masking tape if you are cutting laminate). Even the power cable is very good quality.
The case is sturdy, big enough to hold the saw and the supplied accessories without having to try hard to make it all fit in. It should be noted that the case is not the latest ‘l-boxx’ design, and this is not a bad thing: the l-boxx is designed to stack and link together so that lots of tools can be transported on a dolly… If you want to hand carry, then the l-boxx design is somewhat flawed: the box is so wide it hits your legs unless you hold it at arms length, not comfortable for any length of time.
*Top tip* Don’t forget to register online with Bosch online to get the full 3 year warranty.
I’m using this mainly to cut wood: I would recommend the Bosch Robust Blades for wood.
excellent jigsaw very strong looking and very well built worth the money would recommend.
I hope this is as resilient as other Bosch products as the better models are nearly double the price. I did buy the suggested guide to go with it and it only comes with 1 blade instead of the 3 still advertised on the Bosch website (I emailed Bosch to ask for them as it isn’t Amazons fault)
My husband is a kid in heaven! This tool does the trick quick efficiently and safely. Now the hubby is happy to accomplish all kinds of household projects!
