Ils sonnent super bien.
Merci
These are by far the best sounding earbuds I have experienced, earbuds I have used before were
Beats Pro, Skull Candy, and Jabra.
I did find them a little finicky to use initially, with the touch control, however, I got used to them after a while .
Pairing was almost instantaneous , no problem there, they paired right out of the box.
Fairly easy to use and oh, did I mention ? ; gorgeous sound quality, being a musician (Violin, Mandolin, Guitar) I think I have an ear for sound quality.
I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews before I bought these because I probably wouldn’t have.
I’m not sure if Cambridge Audio have fixed the issues that have been reported in these reviews or if I’ve just been lucky.
It’s early days but I’ve used them all day with no connection drops, they fit in my ears perfectly, they sound very, very good to me and I had them set up and running in a matter of seconds. I will update the review if any of this changes with more usage.
One very minor gripe is the touch controls, I don’t always manage to get them to do want I want first attempt but I’m hoping that improves the more I get used to them.
I purchased these from Warehouse deals because of the Discount And Because once I researched how they worked I found that there functions were identical to a much older style and pair I’ve had for years. Yes the touch function is super sensitive and can inadvertently by actuated by manipulating the buds however I am used to this as my other buds were the same until I learned to compensate. The sound quality is great and the fit pretty good and firm once you pick out the right size ear cushion and fin. No issue with loosing Bluetooth connectivity. It will easily reconnect to the last used Bluetooth port. If you try to connect to another you’ll have to disconnect and reconnect with the new port. Not new for me either. The only very minor issue is with the FINS. if you twist the buds with too much pressure into the ear you may displace the fin, inadvertently misaligning and covering the mic hole and subsequently jeopardize the fin alignment when placing the buds back into their respective charging ports. Overall I’m very satisfied with them.
The size of these is fantastic for sleeping in, listening to podcasts or meditation music and falling asleep. Still not used to the controls but I will get there I am sure
One of the best. Easy to use. Good app. Great sound. Overall very happy and a quality product.
Geluid is prachtig.
I don’t get the negative reviews, these earphones are bloody awesome. I bought mine from a certain auction site however I have included a photo of them howevef they were brand new … First off, these are loud and fit ever so snug when you have the right sized wingtip and ear buds in. I owned a pair of sony WF-1000M3s and these blow them out the water.
One thing i would suggest is reading the instructions carefully so you familiarise yourself with the functions and download their app before use.
I’m quite satisfied with the build quality and audio quality. I like the neutral/balanced settings in equilizer, there’s enough bass and vocals. But for people who wants Extra bass, the equilizer has plenty to customizing options
Regarding the app, is simple and we’ll laid out, clean interface.
I would highly recommend this earbuds. The price is right and the sound quality is Superb.
couteurs compltement caractriels.
These are great quality audio and functionality. The touch sensitivity works well sometimes too well as my damp long hair was stopping the track but only minor thing that can be sorted
For some context, I have at least 50 pair of headphones and earbuds. I have the Cambridge Audio Melomania, Melomania + and now the Melomania Touch. I have been a big fan of the Melomania and Melomania +, despite their sometimes uncomfortable bullet form factor, because of the intense musicality they provide – especially when fitted well, which for me involves using large foam tips.
I ordered the Melomania Touch somewhat reluctantly because there were no foam tips offered, just silicon, so I worried about getting a snug fit that allows for deep bass extension. Well, I was wrong. The units fit very tightly after adjusting both the size of the silicon ear buds as well as the silicon ear loop that helps keep the unit in your ear. Once well fitted and placed in your ears, the Melomania Touches are similar in concept and fit to the custom molded IEMs that one can use on stage for musical performances (but without the deeper intrusion into your ear canal).
So, the fit, once quickly and easily adjusted, is great and results in an immersive musical experience with bass you can feel. And as a person who appreciates bass, it is very welcome and similar to the Melomania plus, but with a more secure fit in your ear.
In terms of musical resolution, there is some for sure, but not as much as a high end wired headphone with a good DAC (think Senheiser, Focal, etc.). You just don’t get that with wireless earbuds. But you get a taste of that greatness without the cost and with the wireless convenience. The Melomania app also has an OK equalizer that you can play with to manually optimize the sound for your hearing profile.
Lastly, here is also a transparency mode to hear someone or something outside – which I have not used much – but works well.
So, in summary, you get pretty awesome earbuds for under $100. These will travel well, block out airplane and train sounds (not actively – but passively), and provide a very musical experience. (Note: I have not tried the phone microphone out yet – but have read that it is better on these than on the Melomania +).
I had no problem downloading the app , connecting / pairing thro bluetooth as some perople have commented .The sound quality and the ability to fine tune thro the app is excellent .Adjusting the fitting – you have to be careful you dont touch the body of the bud ,or you turn the buds off. The battery life is fantastic – the only gripe , when replacing the buds into the charging case make sure that they connect properly – look for the red charging light – otherwise they wont recharge
Great company that produces high audio product.
I like Cambridge audio and was a happy user of melomania 1 for 2yrs looking to upgrade so went with the touch. Great looking product and nice touch response controls, was some adjustment needed especially if you’re used to press controls.
The earpieces were heavier than the Melomania and I adjust to the closest fitting earbuds, getting them to stay in was difficult due to weight and grip not to say it wouldnt fit others, if the fit was good they would be my earphones of choice.
Other notes:
Nice app with equaliser, individual earpiece pairing, no problems I found on pairing, no ANC but mid range transparency mode.
I love these headphones. There are different sized buds and fittings to meet the needs of the vast majority of people.
I bought these Melomania touch earbuds a few weeks ago, and I tell you I’m very pleased, with the sound quality, battery life, easy to pair and connect everything it’s top class
To me they worth every penny, good value for money, I really enjoy the sound quality of these earbuds. Plus the transparency mode it’s so good, even I listen to my music a bit loud I can still hear my wife talking to me. In all , I tell you, they are good quality earbuds. The case it’s quite small, it can fit in the pocket easily, and it’s a good quality, to cut the long story short, they are the best earbuds for that price, I would recommend i
These earphones really exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is really rich and amazing for the money. I saw lots of reviews mentioning connectivity issues, however I haven’t encountered any problems at all. They work perfectly! Really happy with these.
Overall, a great set of headphones especially at this price point. The sound quality is fantastic! You feel almost as if you are inside the sound. I am still getting used to the touch controls and turn them off sometimes, because as I get the headphones situated in my ears I inadvertently turn on music or change the volume when I don’t want to. After a few adjustments to which fins and tips were best for me, these are the best fitting headphones I have ever had. Very tight and quite comfortable. This is the 3rd pair I’ve had and a good fit is quite hard for me to find. I have extremely small ears.
A step up from the 1s. Fit is a little bit fiddly, and getting the right ear bud size isn’t easy, but the sound is excellent if you persevere. App is a helpful way of finding the sound that suits you. I haven’t had any issues with Bluetooth, so assuming that updates have sorted that, but I always pair the bud that’s on the side where my phone sits to reduce the interference from my body. For the price point, these are beautifully detailed, clear sounding buds. However, a pair of wired IEMs at this price would wipe the floor with them so temper your expectations. But for wireless convenience, these are exceptional.
Paar funktioniert endlich.
The Cambridge Melomania are great sounding Earbuds for there money and also quiet comfortable.
I previously owned a pair of Melomania 1, the original version of the bullet-shaped earphone that Cambridge Audio made, and more recently I purchased a pair of Sony WF-1000XM4. As much as the Sony earphones are extremely robust and well-made, and the audio quality is very good, I simply can’t get a good fit in my right ear, regardless of what tip I use. I’ve tried Sony’s official tips, plus some Comply tips, and neither provide what I’d describe as an adequate seal. Walking along the street I can hear the noise of passing cars leaking in through the right earphone, which is not great considering they have ANC.
For that reason when the Melomania Touch went down to 79.99 I decided to give them a try. I really liked the Melomania 1, so I had high hopes for the Touch, and so far I have not been disappointed. The pill shaped case is covered in leather and feels really high quality. There’s no hinge wobble and the earphones slot easily into the case. If I’m being really picky the only complaints about the case are that it’s a bit on the large side compared to the case on my XM4s, plus there’s no wireless charging. It does, however, come with USB-C charging, which is much better than the micro-USB on the original Melomania 1.
The earphones themselves are plastic. The whole outer edge is a large touch surface, with a glossy finish. You can press on any part of the surface to activate the touch controls, which are standard fare (single press on either earphone plays or pauses, double press goes forward or back a track, holding down turns the volume up or down, etc). It is very easy to activate the touch controls, which is both a pro and con. Sometimes when readjusting or inserting the earphones I accidentally activate the controls, but it also means when trying to use the controls you don’t have to find a specific spot on the earphone. The only other complaint here is that there is a slight delay in registering the touch inputs. It’s only about one second, but it is noticeable compared to the instant response of the touch controls on the XM4.
The fit of the earphones is excellent. The earphones come with silicone eartips, with a medium pair attached as standard, plus a further pair of medium and two pairs of small and large eartips in the box. I’ve found that the large eartips provide the best seal for my ears. You also get three different sizes of ear fins (small, medium, large). I found that the medium set fit well, so I haven’t tried messing about with these too much. The earphones are comfortable; in the past I’ve found that earphones can get uncomfortable after protracted use, but that’s not the case here. The fins are made of a soft rubber, which means they don’t provide any discomfort but also help to really secure the earphones in your ear. I haven’t worn the Touch earphones to the gym yet, but I’m confident they’ll stay in my ears well when I do.
I would advise downloading the Melomania app on your phone, because the earphones default to the ‘immersive’ EQ setting, with increased bass and treble. I would say that these earphones are a little V-shaped even in their ‘neutral’ EQ setting, so I found the ‘immersive’ setting far too V-shaped. However, once adjusted, the sound quality is really good. Bass is punchy and responsive, treble is present without being overly bright (something that can really lead to listening fatigue for me), and although the mids are a bit recessed, I wouldn’t say they are excessively so. I mostly listen to rock, metal, hip-hop and rap, and for these music genres the Touch shine. Lil Nas X’s album ‘Montero’ sounds excellent, with punchy bass and an immersive soundstage. Glass Animals’ ‘Dreamland’ sounds equally good. Switching things up, I also listened to Bach’s ‘Orchestral Suite No.3 in D Major, BWV 1068: II. Air’ and the instrument separation separation and soundstage are impressive.
The only negatives to the Touch that I can think of so far are that they don’t have any sort of ANC, and as previously mentioned the touch controls are a bit too sensitive, plus the case is a tad large and lacking in wireless charging. However, at this price point I can easily forgive those minor problems. Overall, I am very impressed with the Melomania Touch. They don’t sound as good as the XM4, nor are they as well built or well presented, but then those are earphones with an RRP of 250, currently for sale at 197 on Amazon, and for my ears the Melomania Touch seal and fit better. For the money, these are well worth a purchase.
These ear phones are brilliant. I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the bad reviews regarding bad connectivity but I wanted to give them a try. The sound and comfort are fantastic, far better than some more expensive headphones I tried. I am no expert but I think you would struggle to better the sound quality at this price.
The Melomania Touch are near perfect earphones. They’re beautifully made, fit comfortably and securely, and sound sublime.
I didn’t know what to expect when I purchased these. I already own a pair of wired Sony XBA ‘Balanced Armature’ earphones that sound unbelievably good, but I wanted a pair of wireless earphones to complement them. And I couldn’t have found anything better.
The sound quality is astonishing. The overwhelming majority of alternative headphones and earphones sound broken by comparison. Everything you play through the Melomania sounds clean, crisp, and resolute. Subtle details and ambient cues that would be lost on lesser earphones become apparent, rendering every style of music with a living, breathing presence that you quickly lose yourself in. Nothing seems to be beyond their capabilities; no matter what style of music you throw at them, the Melomanias effortlessly unravel it and portray it with passion and fury. Even complex, bass driven music, the Achilles heel of small earphones, is conveyed with a pulsing sense of urgency and muscular intensity.
Words alone can’t convey how sublime these sound, you simply have to hear them.
I know that reviews are highly subjective, but I haven’t experienced anything to support the criticisms some negative reviews contain.
Once charged, the Melomania Touch earphones paired effortlessly with my PC and smartphone in less than 60 seconds, and there have been no connectivity issues since. No factory reset has been required despite continual and extensive use. The touch controls are very responsive, as intended, although some may find them a little too sensitive. However, these can be disabled in the companion app if you so wish. The Melomania app itself is clean, comprehensive, and allows for an extensive level of customisation that should satisfy even the most demanding audiophile.
If any issues did exist, these issues seem to have been addressed and resolved by Cambridge Audio through progressive firmware updates. Performance on the latest firmware [v2.1.9] is flawless.
I can’t find anything to criticise. The Melomania Touch are simply superb earphones and a near perfect component; I would recommend them without hesitation.
I’m using these on iOS and haven’t experienced any of the connectivity issues mentioned in other reviews. The sound quality is brilliant as good if not better than other earbuds I’ve tried costing a lot more than these do. Using the correct sized tips for my ears makes these fit and feel awesome they are really comfortable and can be worn for long periods without any discomfort this good fit also means that even though there’s no ANC not much external noise gets through.
Absolutely outstanding sound quality. I have tried many pairs and these blow them all out of the water. The fit is really good, only minor quibble is it would have been nice to get memory foam tips included (I bought some on eBay for a couple of pounds). The mids are on another level to the competition. And the bottom/top is beautifully detailed without being hyped. Perfection.
Don’t waste your time on all those sub 50 earbuds that all sound poor. Just pay a little extra and get the best ones on the market.
Had melamania before and they were excellent. These are just as good if not better. App update and controllability useful.
I was hoping they would be ok. And they are. Bluetooth a little tricky to connect but no issues once connected. Touch takes a little getting used to but ok now. Fit is great compared to the basic Melomanias. The sound is awesome. The equaliser lovely to use and vary the sound. Very clever. Case is a little bigger than basic but it has to be ti accommodate the larger ear shapes – so no issue with the case. These are brilliant earphones. That’s all I can say. Again awesome sound .
Update after a month. I’m happy. No connection issues even when I changed phone. Connects better than my Bose soundlink that has issues.
I have used on ear Bose noise cancelling headphones for travel mainly but also home wear but needed something to use when out walking. I had tried a cheap pair from a high street chain, but never really happy with sound, ease of use or comfort. After much research and consideration of whether i really needed noise cancelling tech i thought i would give these a try having previously been impressed by the brands speakers.
I have to say they give a fantastic sound, sound stage is wide, detailed and definition is great across all ranges. The sound of live recordings really do make you feel present at the event and even with my eclectic taste in music ( Rock, R@B, Classical and Brass Bands !!) all types and styles sound fantastic. Real depth with solid but balanced and detailed bass yet a real “life” to the sound. Not missing noise cancelling tech for my usage as the passive noise reduction from the fit is really very good.
Used them for over a week every evening and the case still has 4 lights out of 5 for charge, and very comfortable. Take the time to try the various combinations of the included attachment to get the right fit for you and for each ear, this really does help to ensure isolation and best performance. The equaliser has presets or custom settings, so again play to find what is best for your own hearing, I’ve done a single custom and not had to change it for varying musical genres.
Just my opinion but i now prefer the sound on these to my Bose QC on ears, its more alive and vibrant, definitely recommend and will consider this brand for any other speaker investments in the future !
These TWS pair has good, very bass-heavy sound or of the box, with more than enough volume to complement its decent passive isolation. This means it’s usable outdoors, where it can effectively drown out the ambient noise.
On this, the ambient noise functionality uses the microphones to let the wearer hear surrounding noise despite having them on, and it also works well.
The application is well-designed, with its key feature being the ability to EQ the sound to one’s preference, and indeed it responds well and works as expected. You can reduce the amount of bass and tune the sound profile. It’s worth mentioning that the profile is stored within the TWS, so that no EQ needs to be reapplied when reconnecting or connecting to a new device.
The microphone is fine but is also very easy to cover up as there’s a dedicated little punch hole in the wingtip bands and it can be misaligned. The wingtips also happened to hurt my ears, which is why I eventually returned them.
The downside is that the software implementation is lacking: odd, random pairing issues, voice confirmations slightly out of sync between left and right.
It’s overall a competent TWS let down by its software.
With 3 ‘fin’ and 3 ‘bud’ sizes you will be pretty unlucky not to get a good, secure fit. Experimentation with the fins can make quite a difference in fit. It has taken me a wee while to fine tune mine to fit securely.
Sound quality is excellent as you would expect after the Melomania One. If you want them to make hands free calls these are head and shoulders above the One, which are let down by their microphones.
Battery life and build quality is excellent. Noise cancelling is pretty good, not quite in the same league as 400 Sony headphones, but they are a different beast, so a slightly unfair comparison. The ability to turn on ambient sound could be a lifesaver for those who wear them while commuting.
Now the elephant in the room: Bluetooth connectivity can be an issue. I’ve had a few times where they wouldn’t connect: usually putting them back in the charging case (so that the red charging light comes on) then retrying solves the problem. On two occasions I have had to reset the connection (easy enough to do, but shouldn’t be needed on a product of this quality). The latest firmware update appears to have resolved the issue. Mine connect to a Galaxy S20 FE, I connected them initially via phone Bluetooth connection rather than the Cambridge app.
In summary, excellent earbuds if they fit and work with your device.
These earbuds are high quality sound, fit, connectability and long lasting battery life. Value for your money.
Point fort: Son CONFORT !
What can be said about these wireless buds that aren’t already evident by their function? Putting them in and giving a listen to your favorite song will fill you with such satisfaction you’ll wonder if Amazon shipped the wrong, more expensive item to you. The unaltered sound profile on even the lower quality setting is a spiritual experience. These buds produce sounds that are just downright missing from other products. Subtle notes and slight increases to the bass make these my favorite listening devices for any music. The pill shaped charger is small and light weight. The companion app is easy to use.
I unfortunately cannot give these a full 5 stars, as much as I really want to. The reason is the software that Cambridge Audio decided to use for these buds. It makes pairing and using these in a consistent manner kind of a chore.
There is a learning curve to pairing these. Keeping them paired to more that one device is annoying. They require a bit of finesse. They can pair up to a cell phone ok. Using them with a cell is probably the best way. Just keep them paired and use them properly (taking one bud out, waiting a second and taking the other out for them to pair easily). Sometimes they won’t just work out of their case like you’d expect, so they go back in the case to turn off so you can try again. This doesn’t happen every time but enough to be irritating.
Forget about pairing them with any other type of Bluetooth transmitter. This is where the product fails miserably. They can pair and be used very well for a single session. Trying again later on will result in a bit of hair pulling as you try to figure out why they won’t just pair instantly like any other bud/cup/receiver. Back into the charger they go to turn off so you can hard reset them for a new pairing, which of course deletes any saved pairs for other devices as well.
The thing is, even with the frustration, they are still my favorite. Cambridge Audio got one very important thing right. They made them sound amazing. Absolutely fantastic. I will still recommend these to anyone simply because with a little patience, you can make these work. Once you figure out what is needed to make them work consistently, they are definitely worth the time, effort and value.
Really good well designed product. I had a few problems with Android connectivity but this was solved though firmware update in melomania app.
after a lot of searching i bought the melomania 1 ear buds and was insanely impressed with them. it came time for an upgrade and i saw these. they are in EVERY way and upgrade, the sound is outstanding, connecting them is a breeze and the features work just as they should. only issue si with the size of the ear tips but that’s more my ears fault for being an odd shape – most people should be fine with the sizes provided. if your considering these, just go ahead and do it you wont regret.
The sound quality is incredible. Pairing is hit and miss, you basically have to keep trying until it finally pairs .. iPhone and MacBook in my case. The touch controls are very sensitive, you will find as you insert them into each ear you will switch on switch off sound, then once in, a little adjustment to get them comfy will do the same until you learn to try and handle them by the sides between thumb and forefinger, which sometimes works. Battery life is excellent. The app for iPhone and Android is good ( I have only used iPhone version).
Sometimes a slight lag in touch controls, sometimes it takes a couple of touches.
In my opinion, touch controls too hit and miss, pairing is a real pain, but once done connecting is very good . Are these worth the hassle for the excellent sound quality? I think they are
Very pleased with my Melomania’s. Sound quality is brilliant, very comfortable and easy to use. Very good value for money.
Using these as my main headphones. I like how they fit flush with your ears so you can wear a woolly hat or hood. I’ve had to reset them once however and sometimes you do need to put one of them back into the case before it will wake up.
The audio quality is very good. The only thing I wish I could improve is the fit. I’ve tried all the different bands and ear pads and if I push the left one in so it feels snug it seems to muffle the sound.
I have only had these for one day, but I will follow up in 60 day increments. The sound quality on these buds are PHENOMENAL! I have currently have Sennheisers Momentums, B & O, Beats Pro, Airpods Pro, UE Fits and NONE come close in sound quality!
The fit is customizable which is VERY unique. There are two pieces (ear and flange part) that can be customized to your preference. The UE Fits are customized (molded) to your ear, but I get a better fit with the Cambridges. Also, the sound quality on the UE FITs are HORRIBLE!
I had no issues pairing, connecting and updating their software using an iPhone X and an iPad Pro 2020.
Regarding the “touchiness” of the controls, that is an easy fixturn the controls off! LOL! I do not use the controls and I would sacrifice controls any-day for sound quality.
The volume is lower than most earbuds; however, I think it is more than loud enough to hear the clarity that these buds provide. This may not work for some, but this was the only drawback I found.
Finally, I am not an audio tech, but I can tell you, similar to the UE Fit, each earbud connects individually to your device (you see a left connected device and a right connected). This may be one of the reasons for the awesome quality and clarity.
Again, I am re-listening to songs on my device and hearing instrument nuances that I NEVER heard before (e.g. EWF!)
I purchased this Bluetooth earphones for my friend. He was happy for me to test them for a week before shipping it to him. Overall, I was really excited about them. Firstly, they were the most comfortable earphones I have tried (incl. Mpow M30, Tozo NC2, Oppo Enco X or Bose soundsport). Secondly, the sound is excellent. I would rank it just a little bit worse than Oppo Enco X but unlike Oppo you can use app equaliser to tune it (however, I still prefer the Oppo / Dynaudio sound). The app for Cambridge Audio is probably the best app for Bluetooth earphones on the market at the moment. The battery life is also excellent and last 1.5x longer than Oppo.
Cambridge Audio made a huge mistake by releasing the earphones too early when they were not fully working (e.g. connectivity problems). Their management was probably hoping that tech magazine reviewers would focus on the sound quality instead of the issues (that were only matter of time to be resolved by new firmware updates) but it backfired and the reviews were quite bad. Now, when the issues were resolved the official reviews are still online repelling buyers. (If they postponed the release for 1 month the earphones would be massive success).
After testing plenty of Bluetooth headphones I would be happy to keep Cambridge Audio if I could have only one headphone – that’s how good they are. If you can afford go for it.
Brilliant sounds bass doesn’t overpower mids or top range Crystal sound
None of supplied tips fit me well and the earphones sound terrible whichever ones I chose. That said, if I pair the earpieces with the some foam tips that I received with the another pair of IEMs I have, they sound glorious. The only bummer being that the earphones don’t fit in the case with those particular tips.
Good fit and impressed with sound quality but taking some time to get used to the touch control sequences. Retired and don’t workout much so can’t comment, but have started to use them in bed with a tablet and worried that
lying on my side may trigger touch controls by mistake
The sound from these Cambridge Audio Melomania Touch Wireless Earbuds is brilliant. Initially had a few connection problems but after a firmware update and fewer problems due to fat fingers I have had no issuess. Would recommend. A great buy.
Wow what a brilliant product. Sound quality is great, comfortable fit, long battery life. Absolutely amazing customer service too from cambridge. Two watch outs 1 make sure you have a secure fit otherwise they will fall out and 2 the app is fiddly to connect but can be bypassed using a normal pairing. All round great headphones.
S tenho 2 pequenas notas a fazer:
Recieved these headphones a few days ago and am pretty pleased with them so far. I took them out for a sweaty 20 km run yesterday without any issues. After about 2 hours, the battery still had over 2/3 charge, so they are definitely better that way than the airpods I’ve been using.
Sound quality is fantastic. The only issue I had was a seemingly low max volume. I had maxed out the volume slider on my phone and it was still fairly quiet. I eventually figured out that I had to use the touch control on the side of the headphones to increase the volume further. Now there’s no problem at all.
As for the connection issues that so many people seem to have – I’m using a Samsung S9 phone and there are no issues at all. It took me three tries to update the firmware for the left headset. Don’t know why it took so long, but zero issues with connection after that. In fact, they hold the connection while running better than the airpods did.
Another issue I saw other people had was the sensitivity of the touch controls. I was careful to use the edges of the headphones to place them into and take them out of my ears. No problems at all. I haven’t worn them in the rain yet, so I’m not sure if that will be an issue. Once in my ears, they felt very light and comfortable. I had no issues over the course of my run.
Lastly, I found that you have to place them in their charger fairly firmly to get them to charge. Fortunately, there is a light on the side of the earphones to let you know that they are actually charging.
Overall, my first impressions are very good. I think that these earphones are going to be a great companion for me on my runs.
Once set up these earphones give you a full, detailed sound. Try all the different sized buds and wings to get a snug fit and the sound will come alive. Occasionally I have had connection issues where one doesn’t connect but I’ve found that putting both back in the case and starting again resolves this. I haven’t worn them for an extended period but they are comfortable and the battery life of the earpieces and case is excellent. The touch control has taken me some time to get used to as it is quite sensitive but I’m getting there. Overall I’m very happy with these earphones, the sound quality is much better than my old Bose on-ear headphones.
While the sound is amazingly clear , the headset is fiddly, the loose parts come out quickly and if not set the right way the charging doesn’t happen properly. Another problem is the Bluetooth connection for the pair- even though I use the same set of ear phones all the time the l and r ear set can’t connect many times (every other day) and I have to do a hard reset (by following a specific sequence of instructions and then praying for it to work) – for the money you pay for the headset you expect bette
After reviewing these, Apple pods and Harman Kardon, I chose the the CA ones even though some reviews had stated that setup and connectivity issues. I have had no problems at all; there was an update to do and I think the guys at CA have addressed them. I followed the new quick setup guide and they connected first time. they connect to my phone as soon as i take them out of the charger and never drop out even when I’m 20 metres away. And then the sound: wonderfully clear and powerful.
Bought them on Monday and I just can’t believe how good they sound.
I didn’t know that wireless earbuds can sound that well. I can hear music the way I have not heard before.
Only issue I encountered so far was that one day left has not connected and I spent over 30 min trying to reset/pair/reconnect. I will keep them for the sound quality, but I was bit disappointed about connection issue. I know manufacturer is keep working on updates, so hopefully it will be sorted out soon.
For under 200 these are a no brainer, very comfy and they sound amazing, app is pretty good too. Only negative I have mention is connection initially is finicky, but once I updated the firmware (which is easy btw) didn’t have any more issues.
These are a fantastic pair of ear buds. I was slightly hesitant about buying them because of what I’d read about connectivity issues. And sure enough when I first got them out of the box I could only get one bud to show connected on my iPhone. BUT – turns out both don’t have to show connected. As long as the two are paired after initial connection, then they work perfectly with one bud only showing connected in Bluetooth.
The case is real class. Leather covered with little LEDs to show charge level and a satisfy click as you return the buds to the case. Fit of the buds in ear is spot on and very comfortable. There is no sense that they’re sticking out a mile and might fall out as I believe is the case with the earlier model. Useful notifications are sent over the audio to let you know e.g. that you’re connected, you’ve switched on “transparecy” (to be able to hear ambient sounds) etc. The app is pretty good too. Let’s you know cgarging levels of each individual bud. Can help you find your ear buds if you’ve misplaced them. And has a number of pre-set EQs as well as customisable EQ.
Sounds quality is just great. Nothing more to say. Great across the range with fantastic separation. Just superb – and why I bought them in the first place.
When you get the fit 100% the quality of sound is superb. However even with the largest buds supplied, I find due to slight movement the seal loosens ever so slightly which can impact on the sound quality (bottom end) requiring consistent re siting to improve. I’ve had a few occasions thus far loosing connection requiring a re set. But on balance these small niggles are worth it for the top notch sound quality
Great product, fits well. Sound is great quality. First earbuds that feel secure. Very happy
Amazing sound quality!! I still get occasional connection issues though:
Bluetooth sometimes shows one bud is not connected but seems to be playing sound In both regardless.
Very occasionally the sound just cuts completely
Originally I had posted that these didn’t work properly. This seems to have been an error with my OnePlus 8T which I now realise had more than a few issues. Moved to. Samsung S21 Ultra and have had no issues. Pound for Pound these are the best headphones I have had and I would (now) recommend them to anyone.

EDIT / UPDATE:
Nothing has changed concerning good stuff. For sound, the detail is excellent, good enough that I’m hearing detail I’ve never heard before in old favorite songs. They don’t sound muddy, shrill, or harsh to my non-expert ears. They really are comfortable for buds. If you get the fit right, they do a great job of sealing, so their noise cancelling is decent, and the bass comes through. But in my average car with average interior noise levels, the noise cancelling is marginal. You can crank up the volume, but with the bumps and stuff they can’t stay sealed quite as tight, so some bass gets lost.
I noted previously that my Right battery wouldn’t charge all the way, but it did today, and it went down at the same rate as the Left, according the Melomania app. Maybe batteries need break-in time, or maybe the bud’s fit in the charging case is getting better. I still have to fiddle with it to get the steady, slow red flash that means it’s charging. But even when the Right shows less charge initially, as both discharge they often even out, because the Left drops faster. So it’s just weird. I use aptX and High-Performance mode, but they still seem to be good for at least 5-6 hours if both show a high initial charge.
BTW, Raycon (see below) processed my return with no problem, and even gave me a paid shipping label, and I appreciate that.
28 March 2021
I’m not an audiophile or an expert on the reproduction of music, but I’ve experienced a variety of different headphones. Obviously, over-the-ear units should deliver the best and most consistent noise cancelling. My old Bose plug-in noise cancelling phones did that part very well, and were my overall benchmark. I think these Cambridge Audio Melomania Touch earbuds sound better, they stay sealed in place very well, and they are comfortable enough. I wear them for hours at a time, day after day.
Before buying them, I tried the Raycon Performers. They sounded pretty good, but they are very buggy. Plus, they wouldn’t stay securely in my ears when I was active. I got fed up very quickly and began looking at alternatives. I don’t think I had them fully broken-in before I’d had enough. But, Raycon has a ‘no questions’ 45 day return policy, a big part of why I tried them in the first place. Minus the bugs and fitment problem, I liked them and probably would have kept them.
With that experience under my belt, I searched again, repeatedly going back and forth over the alternatives. After a while, the CAs emerged as the most compelling choice. I was concerned about the “Touch” controls being a pain, and they were at first. But I’m learning and it’s getting a lot better. Use a firm, deliberate touch, not a quick tap, is my advice.
They do take a few hours to break-in. At first, they sounded a bit flat. While I fiddled with the fitment caps and outer bands, I chased the sound I was seeking by fiddling with EQ settings in the app, which loaded flawlessly and works very well. I got them to seal into my ears properly, which you MUST get right for proper sound.
And, holy smokes, the sound! The detail is outstanding. They sound neither harsh nor muddy. I like tight, punchy base and they can deliver that. I raised the mid base and decreased the low base to find my happy place. There is LOTS of overhead for those who prefer stronger deep base than I do. In short, I’m thrilled with them. Anything sounding better than these must be truly impressive.
However, I’ve had a couple of technical issues. The right bud never charges to above 95%, often much less,
and drains faster, at least according to the app. So it’s the limiting factor for playing time, which is still pretty long. Also, they go silent from time to time, but are still connected. I un-pair and re-pair in my phone settings, and they always come right back.
I took a long time deciding to buy these and was mostly put off by reviews about connection issues. I took the plunge and im very impressed . I did have a nightmare connecting to my phone after using them on my pc and ended up doing a factory reset. what i have found is that if you want to use them on a different device make sure you disconnect them from the current device. The sound is fantastic and easily as good as my pltv8200 over ear headphones . the noise cancelling is awesome even at low volume the outside world is shut out. The touch control is easy once you get the hang of it . being able to increase and decrease the volume by touching the buds is fantastic and easy. I cant rate these highly enough
incredible sound for money, no issue with connectivity (iphone 11pro i just need to connect manually and make update) touch function is bit to sensitive but sound quality is really good , and i was shocked how good is passive sound isolation , ear buds really fit well in my ear and block a lot of sound they do much better job then my earfun air pro active noise cancelling
The sound from these little gems is ace
Not exactly like my P5’s. But nevertheless…..I’m blown away with how good they are. CA make some really classy audio equipment.
Guys and girls at CA should be proud. Worth every penny.
Big fan of the original Melomania 1 and these Melomania touch upgrade are significantly improved.
The sound quality is amazingly good with a balanced to slightly bass heavy output. Listening across the music genres – Rock, Electronic, Jass and Hiphop – all forms sound crisp, clear and to my taste (thumping bass).
I own a pair of sony wf-1000xm3 and i find these superior to them in almost every feature.
IPX4 is a downgrade from the previous versions but works good for me for drizzling rain and sweat during workout.
Touch sensors are good but prove to be an irritation as they interfere as soon as i try to even adjust the buds in my ear slightly while working out/moving
Heard about connectivity issues in the reviews – but honestly it was very smooth for me from the first pairing on both my iphone and samsumg phone. No problems in the continued operation for connectivity.
For the best noise isolation, the buds do cover the ear cavity which may make some people slightly uncomfortable to start with. But it gets better and you adjust easily as i have experienced.
Voice calls worked smoothly with very low disturbance.
Overall – they are the best sounding truly wireless earbuds out there and especially at this price point.
I bought these last week to replace a pair of cheaper bluetooth earphones that performed adequately and reliably, but weren’t up to much in terms of sound quality, especially on runs when background noise and wind often really got in the way. The Melomanias are a huge step up in every respect, and well worth the modest extra outlay. They fit perfectly and sound amazing. Music or voice is much more immersive when out running, whatever is happening in the background. I’ve had no issues at all with connection or drop-outs with an iPhone. The mic also works much better for calls than my over-ear Bluetooth headphones, according to people on the other end! Highly recommended.
Husband is extremely happy with his birthday gift.
Perfect sound and really good quality.
Overall I’m really pleased with these headphones. Sound quality is very good for the size of the units. I would like an extra little bit of volume but they are definitely acceptable. I wouldn’t rate the transparency mode very highly, I tried it when I was out mountain biking and you just end up with lots of wind noise. If you are playing music I still can’t hear outside noises with transparency mode turned on.
The touch controls are fine and easy to work, however I have noticed that if I pull my hat over my ears then it can start and stop the music as the hat triggers the touch controls. It would be nice if they could add a lock mode to prevent this from happening.
Comfort is really good for me. Overall I’m happy with my purchase.
The sound quality is unbelievable. Truly gorgeous bass and makes music sound like honey and gold and diamonds. Having some trouble keeping them paired to my iphone X after leaving them in the charging case over night. I’ve had to reset them several times in a week. I’ve not had time to deep dive the instructions yet to find out why this is happening.
Amazing quality sound and comfort.. Pairing is simple if you follow the updated instructions fully. I’ve had to reset once in the first week but a small price to pay for these buds.
I’m not an audiophile person… but coming from samsung galaxy buds live which retails about same price as these CA m Touch i have to say i can believe what i was listening before… compare to this , buds live are RUBBISH.
i can’t believe my ears now… hearing musical instruments which i could not hear before.
It is like you have your eye test dome and using your glasses for the first time and you see eveything with all details and don’t want to see anything without anymore.
I now enjoy every bits of music with all details even in low volume.
Very very clear.. hard to explain and also great bass.
I must say i didn’t have any connectivity issues at all , not even once. U assume people who has problem using ios devices.
It is very stable connection with my samsung phone qith evwn longer range tgan galaxy buda.
I am enjoying every bits of this and i believe it is worth every penny.
I usually don’t leave comments on amazon but i couldn’t keep my feeling this time.
Thanks CAMBRIDGE AUDIO… KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND KEEP THE PRICE AND QUALITY as it is . I would definitely come bacl to you in future again if the quality will keep up during the time.
Didn’t have any issues pairing the Touch with my phone. But had more trouble with the fit as it does take a few attempts with the different sizes of eartips and sleeves to get the right fit – the sound quality is so much better than a lot of wireless buds. I ended up getting some SpinFits as the included tips – the S were too small and M too big, and some have mentioned before you can definitely tell there are buds in your ears which becomes uncomfortable after a while. However having swapped to SpinFits, all good now and enjoying the sound coming from these.
(I tried using foam buds but they don’t fit in the charging case and they do say on their website that these are meant to be used with silicone eartips.)
When it comes to sound, these do not disappoint. Especially at the price point. For my bass heads out there; the apps equaliser pared with Spotify’s equaliser, it’s absolutely incredible. With those too equalisers working together I’ve got the deepest bass I’ve ever had in any earphones. I’ve also Got the Jabra Elite 65t’s and Sony WF-1000XM3 and the bass on the Melomania Touch, completely blows those two earphones out the water. They also handled the Mids and Highs extremely well, not as well as the Sony’s but a lot better then the Jabra’s.
They are extremely comfortable to wear especially with the S,M and L ear tips and wings (I think their called wings), they will not fall out you’re ears under any circumstances (Unless you wear them without the wings).
The volume on these are also great, they get louder then the Jabra’s and Sony’s.
They don’t have active noise cancellation. But if you like loud music like me, with these you don’t need it.
They do have a hear through / transparency mode, which is useful, it doesn’t sound as natural as the Sony’s, not even as good as the Jabra’s and those don’t sound great either. They sound like you’re listening through a tunnel. But they get the job done. I’d rather just take the earphones out when it comes to having to talk to someone.
I’m not the biggest fan of touch buttons, I just turn off all the touch completely because it find it annoying as I’m the kind of person to accidentally touch the earphones. But when you touch these you get a faint feedback sound and the volume (if you’ve got something playing) lowers a for a moment. I find this quite annoying since I chose to turn off my touch features completely.
My only problem with these earphones is the connectivity, for some reason these were a pain to connect to my iPhone 11. I haven’t tried connecting them to anything else. But I’ve had to reset the earphones 4 times since I’ve bought them. When you first open the box they give you a card with a message saying how to reset the earphones if you have connection issues, I found that a bit funny, as if they knew about this issue and still released the earphones anyway.
On top of they when the earphones are in the case, they would randomly connect to my phone, it’s annoying and weird. I always have to make sure the earphones are fully connected to the charging pins in the case because I think what’s happening is they disconnect from the pins and the earphone goes into pairing mode while still in the case, it gets quite annoying because it runs down the battery of the earphone so when it comes to using it one earphone is fully charged and the other is not. It’s also annoying then I’m using one of my other earphones, and they randomly connect to the Melomania’s.
I’m not sure if the charging pins are the issue because the case uses magnets to secure the earphones to the case.
I do hope these connection issues can be solved with some updates.
Another issue I find is that sometimes the touch feedback sound will randomly keep coming on as if I’m constantly tapping the earphone when I’m not. I’m this case you just have to reconnect/ repair the earphone.
In conclusion these are great earphone despite the weird connection problems at times, and the random touch feedback sounds.
These are currently my go to earphones for listening to music, I use my Sony’s when these are dead or on charge. Or when I really wanna appreciate Highs and Mids. But most of the time I want to appreciate bass, which is why I use these so much.
Again I hope they fix the issues with updates, if they do, these earphones would be complete and should be talked about a lot more. I recommend if you can see past the issues like I have. You can still enjoy a good music session or movie.
Snug fit, they do not move at all. Sound quality of the them is brilliant. I’ve had Bragi dash, dash pro and bang and Olufsen buds. These sound miles better and fit better. I’m really impressed with them
A year and a half on from the brilliant and criminally underrated Melomania 1’s, here is Cambridge Audio’s follow-up: the Melomania Touch.
Provided you achieve a good seal, which isn’t too difficult given the ergonomic design of the melomania touch with the switchable wing tips (called comfort bands – 3 sizes included in the box) and earbud tips (also 3 sizes included in the box), they are undoubtedly one of, if not the best sounding TWS as of February 2021. I see many people have complained about connectivity, but honestly I’ve noticed no issues whatsoever – make sure you download the melomania app and update the firmware, because I suspect many of these individuals are running on early dated releases. Cambridge Audio supported the predecessing Melomania 1’s very well post-launch to iron out kinks, and it is no different here; if anything it is even better because the app allows for effortless updating.
Speaking of the app, it is incredibly clean and intuitive – it could easily pass as something developed by the likes of a software giant such as Sony. There are plenty of options to customise to your liking, including a very appreciated option to force the phone to only ever use aptX codec. Another great thing in the app is the equaliser, which if you increase the sliders is actually able to increase the volume without distortion – THANK YOU, CA! I use my earbuds to do active stuff and I need them to be loud. There are so many equalizers that add distortion when you move the sliders up. You are also able to enable transparency mode via the app (or the earbud), which is a very useful and underrated feature for a variety of reasons, most obvious being your safety, especially when used at night. Noise cancelling didn’t make the cut unfortunately, but given the price it’s a trade-off I am willing to make and to be honest if you have a good seal, which you should anyway for the best sound quality, most of the external noise is blocked out anyway. Noise cancellation also negaticely affects sound quality with some earbuds. There is a high-performance option in the app which I yse exclusively and this allows for about 6-7 hours battery life on the earbuds. The low-performance mode allows for a couple extra hours at the expense of soynd quality, although to be honest the difference is negligible. I have no need for more than 6-7 hours so I just leave it in high performance mode.
Now, onto my few criticisms with the device: first, the touch controls. Honestly they should have just stuck with physical buttons because they are just too sensitive and it’s hard to adjust the fit without triggering them. At the moment I have turned off all the earbud controls in the app besides double tap for previous/next track and triple tap for transparency mode, since these two are less difficult to trigger accidentally. I know a common complaint with physical buttons is that they hurt a bit when pressed since the earbuds are slightly jammed into the ear, but you quickly get used to how much pressure to use when pressing them so that they don’t hurt. I also find that this occasional mild pressure helps recover the seal for the duration that you have them in. Also, please if you read this Cambridge Audio, release some foam eartips for the touch just like you did for the melomania 1’s – they are just substantially more comfortable and also help maintain a seal better. Due to the ergonomic design of the Melomania Touch, I find when you move your face to laugh, smile etc and your ear canals contract, it is slightly uncomfortable because they occupy so much of the inner ear section compared to the melomania 1’s which stuck out like plugs. It’s a trade-off they made to make the earbuds more compact and visually appealing, which I am happy about, but I feel like foam eartips would help mitigate that occasional uncomfort. Also, the case, despite being compact with a nice leather texture, it does not have wireless charging or fast charging. This really isn’t a big deal for me since they get charged overnight anyway and you only save about 2 seconds by placing them on a charge pad opposed to plugging it in.
Overall they are a very versatile set of earbuds that offer fantastic sound quality and value for money and require only foam eartips to be the icing on the cake, which I suspect Cambridge Audio probably have on their to-do list. Thanks for taking the time to read my review. I really like this product and I am happy to thoroughly share my honest thoughts so people might be able to use them to predict if they would be the best option for themselves. They are certainly worth a punt at the fairly modest price they are set at in my opinion.
Good bass and low and high freq response right up to 20 KHz
original pair had connectivity issues so CA promptly replaced it with new pair and boy these are a revelation did nit expect this level; of bass from such puny ear buds, so if you are facing any such issue then please contact support they will help you resolve these
Only slight issue is they tend to keep falling but all earphones do that for me, that is why I prefer headphones but I am beginning to like them with provided ear bands (or whatever they are called)
Personally find it better than apple air pods
I love these ear pods. The sound achieved is exceptional. Very defined, super bass response and a very immersive experience. Very comfortable ear fit. I have some Apple air pods but prefer the Melomania Touch pods. Well done Cambridge Audio!
Great sound reproduction, good battery life. Bluetooth connection not always quick. I don’t use it for exercise.
Much better form and fit than the Melomania 1. Coherent, mature sound without overcooked bass. However the controls are a bit fussy.
Overall, these are a fantastic wireless headphone option. Sound quality is amazing, the addition of the app to set the equalizer makes a huge difference, and the design is far more comfortable than the bullet shaped Melomania 1. The drawbacks come from some quality of life features the original Melomania 1’s had mainly in the connectivity department.
There are times when these headphones truly blow me away, and those are all based around the sound they are able to produce. The bass will rattle with the bass boost on bumping some Wu-Tang, the hosts of the Stuff You Should Know Podcast sound especially crisp while using the “voice setting”, and the soundscapes of Bjrk become even more fascinating using the “electronic” setting. But there are also times I reach for my Melomania 1’s because they’re almost as good and these feel under baked.
There are times when these will randomly drop Bluetooth connection for seemingly no reason, while sitting typing away at my desk. They also seem to have some issues securely connecting to the charging contacts in the case regardless of the size tip/upper ear band combo you use. Even if it did always work using say the smallest options, the fact is every size included in the box should seamlessly fit in the charging case and always provide you with a secure charging experience, as was the case with the Melomania 1’s. I also have had trouble identifying the correct fit for my ears with the buds slowly falling out over the course of an hour or so with any size combination included in the box (3rd party materials not yet tested). And the battery life is also diminished compared to the 1’s but not significantly, and may be attributed to my lack of charging capability. Overall, if you want a workhorse wireless bud, stick to the Melomania 1’s, if you need something comfortable with amazing sound quality for a short period of time, these will work for you, but for who knows how long.
Having had the melomania 1 and experiencing the excellent sounds I was really keen to try the melomania touch. Well, Cambridge Audio have done it again with this truly superb product. Upon receipt of the monitors you MUST select the correct outer fin for your ear and the correct tip to fit in your ear then off you go. I had no Bluetooth connection problems and the silicone tips to my surprise are very comfortable, I have foam tips on the mm1’s and comply tips on a pair of sennheisers so I was sceptical about silicone but no problem! The app is user friendly and I like the ability to be able to update them and use the equaliser. If you are into sound quality I would recommend this product.
I’m pretty new to the Bluetooth buds game. Coming from wired headphones to Bluetooth was a decision I did not want to make and yet here I am. You might find yourself in a similar position. I don’t normally leave reviews, but I’ve read more than my fair share so I feel I should contribute.
I picked the earbuds on the basis of sound quality. In my opinion they deliver. The only other in-ear buds I’ve tried out in person for a considerable amount of time would be Sony’s WF-1000XM3’s. Now when you look at most reviews you will find that the Sony’s hold their own in terms of sound against the very best in class including the Sennheiser TW Momentum 2’s Bose QC Earbuds, Master and Dynamic MW7 Plus’, Lypertek Tevis and the rest of them. In my opinion the Melomania Touch has a better sound than the XM3’s. Ergo, these earbuds are better than competition. If you’ve had a good set of semi-decent earphones up till now you’ll find the soundscape is very well defined; the sound has more depth. Strong clear mids, solid bass, trebles are bright (but not too bright) and present. (5/5).
In terms of functionality… Patience and a simple-mindedness is required. I read the other reviews complaining about poor connectivity this and touch-controls not working that… There is a bit of truth to these statements but the solution is very simple. Turn the Bluetooth off on your phone/device, put the buds back in the case and then turn them on again. All problem solved. The case does a restart on the buds making them work properly again. As of this review the buds have been released for 2 weeks. Here’s to hoping functionality will improve. It’s not terrible, definitely not worth the 1 star reviews some people might give them. But will require as previously mentioned some patience and simple mindedness. (3.5-4/5)
Features: There’s no ANC (better sound quality, Cambridge Audio taking their sound seriously. (If you didn’t know ANC is detrimental to sound quality)). There is a transparency mode, which works. But as soon as you turn on the music, it barely works at all. I don’t mind the simple solution of taking the bud out of your ear to hear things clearly. The buds do support single ear listening. There is a find your buds tool on the app which marks the last place the buds were last connected to your phone (variably useful). The EQ is great. 6 presets and 3 custom ones. The touch controls work 9 times out of 10. But don’t work great with wet fingers, and they are liable to get confused if you press them a bunch time trying to get them to work out of frustration. Just placing them back in the case is a simple fix. Also the buds don’t do the thing where they pause when you take them out. You can always use the touch control to pause, then take the bud out. (3/5)
Plenty of buds and ear loops to find your fit. Once you do they aren’t going anywhere. Some people complain about how they can’t adjust the buds without activating the controls. You have to grab the base and the top of the bud (by the tragus and the antihelix) not by the sides. People just need to adjust themselves a bit. Just because things don’t work exactly the way you want them to doesn’t mean theyre flawed. If anything you’re flawed for failing to adapt. (5/5)
Haven’t reached the battery limit yet. Don’t think I will. 50 hours is a long time. Charge when ever you remember to do so will more than likely do the job. (5/5)
I’m not disappointed with my purchase. I wish the features were a bit more robust, but nothing that can’t be fixed if Cambridge Audio decide to update their software. But the sound quality does trump all this.
… Man I wish phones kept their audio jack.
I’ve been using the Melomania Touch for a few runs and workouts as well as more general use.
The build quality and aesthetic appeal is very high, including the charging case.
The sound is clear, with instruments and frequencies well defined and balanced. The app gives excellent customisation options.
The controls are intuitive and easy to use.
My only concern so far is that they have dropped connection on every run I’ve been on with them. I don’t know if this is a result of only running with a single earphone in, and it has only happened once per run, but it is DEEPLY inconvenient and does nothing for exercise momentum.
The overall experience is great however, and as such I will be keeping them. I will say to Cambridge Audio though – please investigate drop-out and launch an update, I have never had this issue with bluetooth earphones before, least of all earphones of this price.
I bought these to accompany my lock down walks. I love music especially Hip Hop and rap and the quality of the delivery on this set is brilliant.
I use Tidal masters so APTX was a must, the difference is audible, the distance between instruments and lyracists is brilliant and only really matched by my Sennheiser over ears.
The problems come when trying to use it with more than one device.
My MacBook connects but refuses to deliver audio to the headphones, my PC doesn’t acknowledge it exists, my android phone is the only thing that will reliably pair to it and even then it always only connects to one headphone at a time then i have to wake up the other one before it connects to it.
There has been one firmware update already so at least they are updating it regularly. The app ain’t that great either, I think this is a hit or miss type scenario. I am not sure I will keep them but if I don’t I will definitely miss the quality and instrument separation.
Updated
Now on firmware 1.3.1 the connection has been rock solid on all of the above and switches between them quickly now. The phone callquality has improved as well. Basically all of the things I whine about above is now sorted. The app is even better now.
UPDATE 1/10/21 – So I have used these for several hours now since I received them. I was able to update the firmware finally. When I first take them out of the case there seems to be an issue with 1 of the ear buds connecting to the phone. They turn on right away when removing them, but then when putting in my ear one will immediately power off. When I take them off, dock them with the case and then put them back in my ears that seems to correct the issue. This has happened nearly every single time I have used them. However, when they’re connected they’re stable, and the sound is ABSOLUTELY incredible after adjusting the EQ with the App. I’m hopeful that the connection issues are resolved in further firmware updates? I really don’t want to return these because I think there’s something incredible here otherwise.
Initial review*: So far so good. I have worn them for a few hours today, both at work and in the gym. They fit comfortably as soon as I changed the rubber ear inserts to the medium size provided. If you download the app you can adjust the EQ settings. I’m having a little trouble trying to get the firmware to update on my earbuds though. May have to contact technical support.
I find the touch controls a little too sensitive if I’m trying to adjust them in my ear. They turn on as soon as you pull them out of the case. If you accidentally touch it, it will pause or play the music. I wish there was a way to adjust the touch sensitivity. They do a pretty decent job blocking out ambient noise. And they did pair effortlessly with my Samsung Note 10+.
That said, day 1 of ownership, I’m satisfied with my purchase so far.
Update 05.12.2021: geht doch!
So, geschafft. Umtausch erledigt. Funktion wie sie sein soll. Bin sehr, sehr happy.
Reklamation/Umtausch ein bisschen sperrig. Amazon war ja nicht Verkufer. Also: Nachricht an Verkufer ( Cambridge Audio), warten, dann deren Antwort wieder beantworten, warten.
Hrer entnehmen, “Power on”, “Melomania connectet”.
Update 21.10.2021:
so, mir reichts erst einmal!. Grmpfhhh…..
Sennheiser Momentum 3: aufklappen – “Telefon 2 verbunden” – in 3 Sekunden.
Passiert so immer wieder.
Was tun? Weiss ich noch nicht. Alles probiert. Entkoppelt, neu verbunden, resetet, upgedatet.
Ursprngliche Bewertung:
Nix App, nix NoiseCancelling, kein Equalizer.
Viel Dynamik. Frei, locker, musikalisch. Kein Gezischel, kein Bassgemurkse. Mitten!!! Ja, echte Mitten, juhu. Einfach Gut.
Und die Melomania touch?
Naja, die machen in allen Disziplinen zwar alles ‘nen Tick besser. Gehn’ ein Stck tiefer. Man kann mehr Einzelheiten heraushren ( Auflsung ). Und die knnen natrlich jede Menge mehr. Transparent-Hearing, App, EQualizer u.a.
( oh oh, audiophile Vergangenheit, “Rosa Rauschen” lsst gren ).

Damit – wohlwollende – 4 Sterne. Bin gespannt auf weitere Meinungen.
