Having bought this inverter and having it work perfectly for 4 month, for some unexplained reason it stop working.
Getting in contact with Carrybatt through Amazon wasn’t a problem, and the Customer service at Carrybatt were exceptionally good, after a few questions with regards to my set up Carrybatt were on the ball and I had a brand new replacement within a few days.
Thanks again Carrybatt and Amazon for a first class service.
Regards,
Gordon .
Fitted in my motorhome to replace the original one fitted which I burnt out beyond repair when removing mains wires from a plug socket and I had not realised they were live. No indication on my old one to show it was on. This has a remote which you fit in an easy to view location to monitor on/off battery levels. Easy to install. Good value for the money paid. Does what I require. Smaller and takes up less space than my old one. Downside and a small one at that. The strip provided to earth on vehicle is to short but I put a slightly longer one on and that did the job
Nothing to dislike
I done so much research as I had read so many reports that they didn’t work not powerful enough to run and heavy loads
But the website page for this product seemed ok and believable so I took a chance
I gingerly plugged in the fridge started up and green light on
I added the TV/dvd player switched it on played a dvd both items on no issues went on a very long hot drive(9) hours fridge stayed cold kids watched endless dvds many thanks
Another reviewer said “not to spec, spec says idle current is 0.8A mine is over 1A” or summat like that. So I checked mine, 0.6A at idle, ie no load. So uts drawing 7W or thereabouts to run the device. Very good! Plus I have so far tested it with a 1KW vacuum cleaner, a freezer and various battery chargers, it hardly got warm. I’ve set myself a limit of 1KW for loads on this, if I don’t load it up high it should hopefully last a long time
…..so far I’m impressed.
Good product, unfortunately as can happen with any electronic product it developed a fault and stopped working. I contacted Carrybatt and after carrying out some checks and replacing the fuses it still didn’t work.
They immediately offered a replacement which was delivered within days of me sending the old one back.
Excellent customer service.
Made the motor home, home from home. Children keep all devices charged. Can now use my Thermomix and my husband happy as can halve a decent coffee away now we have the inverter fitted. Away not on electric and with solar panels etc and now this inverter it was much easier.
I bought this to use my 240v ice maker on my yacht. The ice maker says its 300W but when I tried a modified sine wave inverter at 750W, it didn’t work. This 1500W Pure Sine Wave inverter works perfectly for the ice maker, I also charged my laptop at the same time, no issue. The leads to connect to the battery are a little short though, so you may want to get longer ones.
Purchased to power a TV and AV system running off a 24V 100Ah solar charged Lifepo4 set of batteries.
Normal load is about 175W and the noisy fan rarely kicks in. Also occasionally powers a 1kW kettle at the same time without issue.
Been operating for 4 months perfectly
Wired remote control panel is very handy but the battery level indicator shows full until the batteries are down to 15% – probably calibrated for lead acid?
Ideal for my requirements – hope it lasts!
I bought this to install in my Rapido 7.4m 4 berth Motorhome so I can use 240volt on >>> a low wattage kettle, the 700w microwave (1100w input), toaster, etc.
I have only test connected this up to my 3 x 115Ah batteries to try out. I plugged in a 2Kw fan heater and it worked very well. And tried a 3Kw kettle that also ran as it should and boiled the water. I used the remote unit to turn on and off the inverter. I used 2m length 25mm sq cables from the batteries that was getting warm so I will increase this to 35mm sq cable on the final installation.
The remote control unit is a nice addition and as well being able to remotely turn the inverter on/off it shows the power (votlage) of the batteries by a small row of coloured LED’s.
I’m very happy that this inverter works as intended and give it 5 stars.
Easy to fit and silent in operation. Fans only run if it gets hot. Tested with 600w load for ten minutes and it performed perfectly. No heat up and minimal battery drain.
blew the fuse on a 400W microwave not even close the the rating
It’s a fairly large inverter, however it does work well and I have only had one thermal cutout so far but it was a really hot day.
So far really pleased
Hooked up to 100ah lifep04 battery
Setup complete running off 2*100w panels off epever 30 amp controller via 12v battery, sealed, lights all up n running, just tried my Bosch 1000 w lawnmower via the carrybat, boom running flat out(not cutting grass) I may have to consider battery 2, for those oops brill so far .UPDATE 4/9/21
Inverter smoked todayreally cheesed off as had become used to excellent product, not abused, never started using properly till July on purchase of suitable controller[as shown above] have tried contacting Carrybatt today , so guess ill just have to waitnot happy
Update 11
Guys at Carrybatt top draw, once we both understood what brought about the blown MOSFETs, all good with full refund, good luck.
Great product, easy to install and use. Power’s electrics in the van with ease. Had a technical fault with the product and Carrybatt were super, replacing the product in 48hrs. Great service
Good value inverter. Gone in our van and does a marvellous job running toaster + coffee machine. Suggest buying some rubber battery terminal caps to cover the connections at rear once connected up. Remote control works a treat. The design of the remote control switch overlay is a a little curious with its cursive font but i have made adapted / made my own.
The only issue with this is the so called leads it comes with. Straight in the bi
Been using this for a few months ,will run my roof aircon unit also the microwave brilliantly.
Don’t use the battery cable supplied.
Have run a 2200 KW heater , microwave and roof Air-conditioning.
Great inverte
Nice inverter works very well in my campervan, had it power 900w water heater no problem, remote a bit basic but works fine. Very happy, we will see how long it lasts.
Took me a long time to decide which inverter to purchase for campervan. This one really does the job. Love the wired remote as the unit is tucked up out of the way and this allows me to switch of without liting seats to access power switch. Veru pleased with set up
Bought for our motor home and does a great job.
Great quality item, very powerful, low noise. Use it to step up a couple of leisure batteries connected to my shed’s solar panels. Provides off grid electric for my power tools.
