Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m an Automotive Technician and this product has helped me find a chipped exhaust valve, carbon on intake valves and even a dripping GDI injector. Great price compared to other name brands like Snap on. However, the side camera somehow lost its picture quality and I have only used it a few times. Overall great product for the price.

I am not sure why I never thought about buying one of these before, but they are very useful around the house. I have also used mine to rescue ducklings which fell in sewers to find them and reunite them with their mothers. This product works great. The resolution is very acceptable, all things considered. I love the fact that it has two cameras so you can see both the front and side at the same time. The recording feature is fantastic. I would recommend this product if you’re in the market for an endoscope.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI found this endoscope was of decent quality and works good however the maneuverability was bad and the wire is very stiff and not flexible. Picture gets blurry at times of movement but one again it’s not a high end expensive one so you pay for what you get. Overall its works good just needed something to maneuver around bends and this could not.

I had an issue with an intermittent connection in the flex cable.

Kudos to the Depstech customer support team, though, as they had a warranty replacement unit out to me within just a few days with few questions asked – great!

Product is very user friendly and the picture quality during the day and night are amazing. I use to have a Garmin dash cam and i am preferring this one more. I love that i can see all 3 cameras either on my phone via WIFI or through the dash cam very clearly. Great product and would recommend.

I wish the cable was actually a bit stiffer. Over a distance beyond 5ft it tends to curl making distance viewing beyond 5ft difficult.

At first, it was hard to orient the side view camera, but you quickly learn how to orient the cable. Speaking of the cable, it seems just about right stiffness to feed through 4″ drain lines, which is what I purchased in for, as my neighbour bored a hole for fence on my property line and heavily punctured a line. Was able to ascertain that that line was redundant, and did not affect my eaves drainage line. The endoscope alleviated my concerns on this matter, and the 40 hour fullfillment time was very much appreciated.

I love it, I just wish it came with a carrying case. Then I would give 5 stars!
Update: just used it in the air ducts of my rooms. It works good it would be nice if you can zoom out or in, and it’s difficult to get over the crimped metal duct that overlaps another metal duct. I have to figure out what I can put on the end to get it to go over without any problems.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIts a bit complicated to learn. A tutorial video would have been nice. Seller: Please consider making one for this nice product. Down side is the fixed focal point . Objective needs to be about 2 inches away but not more than 4 inches away for best resolution. That being said, in some very tight openings the camera appears not to be able to focus to see your objective.

I would buy this product again.

I like it I used it to see and change a part on my vehicle i couldn’t see due to the frame restriction being so close to the engine left side plus other things. only thing I disliked is I couldn’t tell if it was a new but opened and returned and resold cause the sticker with the serial number on the back looks like if someone tried peeling a bit but stopped and the sticker where it says there’s a memory card wasn’t aligned perfect was a bit tilted so even if it was a return it works so far no issues other then that i could tell of.

Very easy to use once you figure out all the features. The picture quality is not quite as good as I was expecting. Still does a pretty good job. The further out it is extended into whatever you are looking at it gets hard to control the end. That is where the side camera comes in very handy. Now instead of having to try to direct the straight camera, just switch to the side camera and try to twist the cable and you can look around pretty good. It did what I was wanting it to do.

Not a bad camera to see inside tight spaces. I had a camera that plugged into my phone, but it was very buggy and the app to use it was very intrusive and failed a lot. This one having its own screen is exactly what I was looking for. It is not top of the line by any means, but it is definitely worth the money. Plus it saved me from getting a professional out here charging a few hundred to do what I did.

The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars because I can’t get it to go around corners in plumbing like a sewer system.
It’s good for looking around the corner but it cannot go around the corner very well.

  37. Anonymous says:

The picture is clear on the screen. It will push down most pipes that are smooth. But since the camera end is not rounded it could hang up on any imperfections, which i found out. I used a plumbing snake and attached it to that and it worked fine that way. The light on the end is really bright, doesn’t shoot a long ways but good enough. Kind of tricky to interpret what the camera is showing you because it is very difficult to rotate the wire. It is well made.

  38. VIPXO says:

     United States

The viewing angle issue is that if the screen is tilted even a few degrees, it’s really hard to see what you’re looking at. It’s hard to manage it with one hand while you’re trying to manipulate the camera with the other.

It’s also hard to figure out what some of the buttons do. For example, you have to hold down one of the camera buttons for a couple seconds to switch from camera A to camera B.

All things considered, I’m still happy with my purchase and I use it often, but there is room for improvement.

The package where it came in was in perfect condition!, the endoscope is not cheaply made, it is a high quality product, I was particularly impressed with the image quality, the camera diameter is good enough to see through places impossible to get to under normal conditions. The unit lasts about 50 minutes without charging which is very convenient !. The device is very easy to use with just with just a few buttons from where you easily operate the unit. The dual lens function helps a lot!, that’s the main reason I bought de DEPSTECH DS300 and I was right about how useful that would be!. It is definitely great value for the money !, I mostly use it for inspecting wall cavities , ceilings, pipes and it works perfectly! . Finally, I recommend this product without any shadow of doubt !!!

I opened the box a few days ago, and start using it today. Overall this is good tool. Few words of caution, the fiber optic cable is made of glass material. Users should take great care of the cable because if the glass inside the cable is cracked, the picture won’t display on screen. The cable can’t be bent sharply or pull or yanked on.

  41. ShaylaKpnqyhqcn says:

It’s so nice to buy a product that is ready to use straight out of the box. This comes with a micro-SD card, is fully self contained (no need to sync with other devices or anything), and even the battery was fully charged.

It’s a fairly chunky solid feeling product, with a bunch of attachments. Has a light and camera at the front of the wand and at the side, and it’s possible to switch between them or see both at once.

I wanted to track down a leak. Seemed to do the job I bought it for so well worth the money.

Downsides – screen isn’t great. Objects near the camera seem to be hard to see. And the cable is possibly too stiff. Not sure if the last complaint is totally fair – it may not have been usable is it was more flexible but it was difficult to manoeuvrer.

  42. BettyeKeeler says:

     United Kingdom

Overall worked really well. The side camera is quite handy and I’m glad I purchased it. It’s only used on the odd occasion.

    A few issues.
    – if you don’t have the screen on the right angle it’s difficult to see the screen. It’s not like your phone screen for example where you can place is anywhere and still see the screen fine.
    – The cable is permanently fixed into the screen, it makes it awkward for storing etc. a little thing but would go a long way.
    – The buttons are not intuitive, it’s tricky to know how to move from one camera to another.

Overall worked for what I needed and I think good value for money. You’ll praise yourself when you need it and it’s sat in the workbench.

So I work in the hgv maintenance service side of a work shop and need a means of being able to see things like brake pads that are not easy to see without removing wheels the side camera really is great for doing that and I’m certain I will find other uses for it in my job as well so very happy with the item.

This borescope’s camera creates an excellent image – very clear and sharp, and the monitor is equally high quality. The monitor is very easy to operate – and the scope would be perfect except for one thing: The probe wire is very very stiff. It comes rolled up and unrolling it and trying to get it straight is a feat. If you have a long distance to probe, it becomes very difficult to impossible to control where the camera is pointing. This “feature” cost it one star. It would have cost it more stars if the rest of it didn’t perform so well. I think one with a shorter wire would have worked better for my applications.

Overall pretty good tool for the price. The major weaknesses is the screen. The viewing angle is not good.

The cable is a little on the softer side. It seems to bend corners fairly easy. I had a bit of trouble keeping it straight for long distances though. The side camera comes in handy once in awhile.

Overall decent quality boroscope with decent features for the price. I think I would rather have spent a little more money and got a better screen.

This is actually the 2nd inspection camera I have purchased. My 1st one had to have wi-fi to use to see the picture on my phone. I ended up sending that one back because i got to thinking if i was at the lake, mountains, etc. where i didn’t have wi-fi then it was useless. After reading differant reviews on Amazon and the internet i decided on the Depstech DS300 DL. It was about twice as much as my first one but well worth the extra and a lot more. The main reason i needed an inspection camera was i had installed some new drain plugs on my jet ski. The plugs have a ball in them that closes when i put the ski in the water because of the pressure-when i load them on the trailer out of the water the ball releases and drains the water out of my hull. Anybody that has worked on a jet ski knows their is very little room in the engine compartment and if you drop anything it usually always goes to the bottom of hull-under the engine and even using mirrors and flashlights it is very hard to locate what you dropped-can’t use a magnet because all thge bolts and nuts are stainless steel. The other thing that ends up in bottom is plastic zip ties which are used a lot-again a magnet will not stick to plastic. If anything like a nut or plastic zip tie got into the new drain plug then it would keep the ball from sealing shut-which could result in a $14,000 jet ski sinking- so the price of the Depstech is VERY SMALL compared to the price of a jet ski. Would definately recommend the Depstech DS300 DL to everybody- in fact several guys i work with have purchased their own after seeing mine

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe dual-view of side and front cameras is actually pretty good. And the ability to flip/rotate the image without messing with the cam cable is extremely handy. I have another brand of inspection scope that was $200. I think I am going to throw that one in the garbage (no seriously, after this I will not go back).

Charge it before you use it (tech geek in me has to itch the lithium-plating scratch).

    Cons:
Heat – The camera gets warm and the LEDs get just plain hot. Fine but it can affect adhesives/sealants (if you spend less than about 2 minutes inside something that could be damaged, no need to worry.
Settings – There is a lack of default settings (i.e. default LED brightness upon boot). Simple things that would not require any additional hardware, just a few lines of code could be added.
Length – Ok this is not really a con… I mean it does promise like 4 meters… but I have yet to find a situation where I need more than about 8 feet. Heck even if I did need more than that it would be practically impossible to angle/control the cameras at that distance.

Things could change over time or on their next version, but as of early 2022, I personally endorse this product. In fact I just realized I have wondered why a particular vent in the entertainment room is so weak. Time to have a look inside. 😉

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersOverall the unit is very easy to use, although the semi-rigid cable can be difficult to work with.

    Pros:
    – easy to use LCD screen.
    – 16ft cable is plenty for most purposes.
    – side view camera is a handy option.

    Cons:
    – the camera tip is 1-3/4″ in length (approx: 4.5 cm) and is Non-Flexible. That and the fairly rigid cable make it very difficult or impossible to snake through any U-traps or 45-degree turns. This makes it nearly impossible to use in drains under 3″ in diameter unless you have a straight run. I tried to snake it through my bathroom sink and shower/kitchen drains, but couldn’t get past the U-traps, which was the primary reason why I bought this.
    – Picture quality is OK but images can be blurry at times, depending on the angle. Again – if you are using it on a straight run, then your images are usually fine.

After reading many reviews of similar products I decided to buy this one. I needed to find out why my drains kept on getting blocked. This arrived and within 30 minutes I found that my drain had broken and was full of roots! This is easy to use and the quality of picture was very good. I found that it was easier to see things if I moved the cable into the drain slowly. The cable is sturdy enough to go around a bent in the drain and a bit of water didn’t hinder it. In fact when the camera went under water the quality of the picture was good.

All in all, very happy with it. Now just got to fix that drain!

Bought this to inspect some carburetors in a motorbike – a real time saving of 2 hours (take out and replace time on this horrible set up). Perfect, I can see from inside the airbox perfectly, all 4 carbs without moving anything but the air filter.

Also used it to look deep into the bulkhead of a car, to discover a troublesome drain had actually been changed for the non-troublesome type. Great to see the picture, made my day, a massive headache gone.

This camera is simple to use and very very good. Was going to go for a much more expensive one, but the quality on this is sufficient for my needs.

    Very happy

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhen you’re fishing about inside a wall or around an engine, you’re going to be futzing about twisting the cable to determine which way is up. That’s to be expected. Unfortunately, the controls are labeled mostly for video playback; in order to switch between side/front camera or controlling illumination you’ll have to button mash like you’re playing Street Fighter. Eventually you’ll find the view you’re looking for; it’s just an awkward design. Still, the display is clear, the cable is both flexible and controllable, and the camera adapts well as you fish about in otherwise unreachable areas.

I used this to try to locate a dead rodent under a wooden floor. Drilling multiple small and ultimately unsightly holes to feed the camera through wasn’t a good idea as camera manoeuverability is obviously restricted to that immediate location. So removed a small section of floorboard for access. This was only a limited success as the camera is useless unless it can be guided – eg hand held the camera image is in constant tremor and the camera cannot be moved any distance and with any precision without support. For this I used a 2 metre length of flexible plastic strip taped to the camera and cable. This worked well. However – the lens depth of field is very narrow – approximately a couple of inches – which meant much of the image was out of focus and blurred. The image in focus though was very good – lots of detail. In the end I resorted to a small hand torch and an inspection mirror which provided a much clearer view of the underfloor area.

Unfortunately the rodent was not found. Ripping up an entire floor to find it was not practical and so we wait for it to decompose fully. It’s been 4 weeks now…….

In conclusion the Depstech Endoscope is potentially very useful depending on circumstances. For example in locations where it’s lateral movements are confined such as soil pipes – chimneys – under roof tiles – etc it would be excellent. Open spaces though require support. Overall the endoscope is easy to use and very useful when operated within its limits.

I used this to inspect the gears in a vintage lorry. It is extremely easy to use, the LED is excellent and the picture quality is good at the correct distance from the object. I would recommend this model as is good value for money, but DEPSTECH have since launched newer models with better image resolution.

  58. BenedicHurt says:

The DEPSTECH Endoscope is not really a pro tool, but having said that, It will handle about 90% of what people need an endoscope for. The price was good and the video quality is quite satisfactory for my uses. The company claims 1080p, and it may well be on the electronic and lens level, but the screen, in my opinion, is at around a 720-ish level. The controls are functional but not very intuitive. Read the manual before use. I originally bought it to look into a “sinkhole” that opened up under my concrete driveway. I’m also using it for peering into damaged house walls and working on car engines, etc. Many uses. It came with an SD card so I didn’t have to go to my box of cards. My only real dislikes are that it’s a bit hard to hold while doing the survey, and the sixteen-foot camera lead is not detachable and is clumsy. I found a used fishing pole and tie-wrapped the lead to it to look in the sinkhole. Overall, it was a good purchase.

2-5-22 update: I had to replace the starter in my 2007 Honda Accord 4 cylinder. In this model, you have to remove the intake manifold to get to it. The endoscope was VERY helpful in finding a dropped and wedged socket. A handy tool to keep around. I wish I had it when I was bench-testing and rebuilding aircraft components. I would have had to hide it from the other techs (and the FAA 🙂 ).

However not looking to make great photos more to use to see what’s in that wall or down that crack etc. And it appears to do the job. Oh except my cat decided to chew on the end of the probe……NO NO KITTY. We weren’t fast enough to get photos of his teeth and open mouth…too bad. But we were going NO NO NO KITTY. NOOOOO. Cats but his point of view was why were we choosing to use him as a practice trial run with camera functions etc. Kitty is right. BITE the thing so he can get back to his nap. I’m going to see if Youtube has anything helpful to add.

A very useful product. I used it to ascertain of there was any leaking plumbing under a shower tray. Produces reasonable quality pictures & comes with an SD card for recording video or pictures. Battery life isn’t enormous – probably less than an hour.
The main issue is the cable which is semi stiff with a significant memory of being coiled up. It is laos quite long which could be very useful in some circumstances but makes use at short range rather unwieldy. This makes it tricky to direct the head to the desired position & hold it. I found that taping the last meter or so to a piece of bamboo or narrow pipe helped a lot when used in a floor cavity.
In summary at this price for an occasional DIY use great value.

This is actually a pretty good unit. The picture quality is decent, but not great. Don’t expect BBC life of ants quality here… The display screen has limited viewing angles, especially from below which is a bit annoying as you generally need to hands to guide the camera and one hand to keep the screen visible. The cable is flexible but sturdy and the right balance. I have been able to push the camera under the floor for 1.5m in the attached vid. The sideways view is really handy. I drilled a view 9mm holes in my wall and stuck the camera in on 90degrees mode and didn’t need to worry about bending the camera around in the cavity. It came with a cheapo 32GB SDHC which is fine, but maybe not fast enough which makes the recorded video jumpier than when just viewing on the screen. For the money, I think this is a really good product. Prior to this, I had camera that plugs in to a phone and this much better in everyway so spend a bit more and get this.

Very happy with seller and product. Another great addition to my family if tools. Would not have undertaken a job without that camera as I had to drill into a void and had to know what was in there before proceeding. SAFETY FIRST.

Upon receiving the endoscope I opened the box and switched it, without opening the instruction book I found it simple and easy to use as it operates in a logical way, plus the icons on the buttons clearly identify their function.
The cable for the camera is more than sufficient in length and can be easily straightened out and bent to suit the task.
The camera is lovely and clear, the light is a great touch and being able to adjust is an added bonus and handy to limit over exposure.
The screen is nice and clear giving a clear view of the camera and whatever you are viewing.
The best features for me are the functionality of the camera and the ability to rotate the camera view 180 degrees, however the real party piece is the dual camera and being able to switch to the side view, which can prove invaluable.
The extras included such as magnet are a nice touch and great for retrieving that dropped nut or screw up.
All in all I am very impressed with the endoscope and it is real value for money, tough, rugged, great functionality, excellent battery life, highly recommend

Great piece of kit, a must for any diyer or motor enthusias

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPurchased as an upgrade from my old USB camera endoscope. This is definitely a nice unit with a nice long camera! I typically use it to look in engine cylinders; however, I have found that it has many uses and is becoming one of my commonly-used tools!

The camera quality is great and the overall build of the device is solid. I haven’t dropped it yet; however, it does seem to be built well enough to withstand normal abuse. It may not be best for a shop-based environment, but then again, it may hold up just fine!

My biggest issue is figuring out the functions. Do not lose your user manual because if you do, you’ll likely forget how to use several of the features that this endoscope offers! I almost always have to reference the manual to figure out how to switch between the main and side cameras, which to me could have been easily fixed by adding a separate button to do so, rather than pushing and holding another unrelated button.

The ability to record and save snapshots is also great. It would have been nice if DEPSTECH included an adapter to connect the Micro SD card to your computer, but that’s no big deal.

Overall, this is a great little endoscope and it really has served me well so far. I really recommend it for DIY and home garages. Probably not the best choice for the commercial world.

The housing cameras on the cable has sharp edge, not rounded, and the rigid part is to long,so I find very difficult or impossible to run the camera through a waste pipe that has elbows. The image quality is very good, but the interface on the screen can be very confusing when you try to view the recorded pictures and videos .

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersDEPSTECH are specialists in the manufacture of endoscopes and borescopes (they also make a 2K webcam which has excellent picture quality). This DS300 unit beats the competition because:
    1. It has a large 4.3ins TFT, 1080p FHD, screen. Other makes have tiny screens.
    2. It has a generous 16ft (5m), of semi-rigid cable.
    3. It has forward AND side-view cameras. Others have forward-only and require a mirror attachment for sideways view.
    4. It records both pictures + video, and comes with a 32Gb card installed. The card is not an extra cost.
    5. Display can be toggled between forward, side and a split forward + side view.
    6. Easy to use and excellent value for money.
All you need is a USB port or USB charger. The USB charging cable is supplied.
Tip: It comes with a hook and magnet attachments but it is not obvious how they fit. You unscrew a tiny ring at the camera end, then either attachment can be screwed on. You even get a spare ring (they are very small and easily lost).
I put a tiny sticker on the camera to indicate the top, when the picture is the correct way up. It saves having to rotate the camera/cable after insertion to get the image the correct way up.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFor a relatively cheap scope it works very well, good lighting and clear pics enhanced by the sd card supplied, If there is one improvement to make is to soften the cable its very stiff so don’t expect it to go round sharp corners cause it ins not happening. I purchased it to snake out cables and drivers in roof / fllor space very easily with a little practice got it though floor joist as well. not sure how effective the hook and stuff are as ive not used them but could work i guess.
Over all a good bit of kit for the mony.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis product didn’t work for the application I hoped to use it for simply because it couldn’t pass through a valve cover baffle. So I tried it in a spark plug hole just to evaluate it. I had hoped for slightly better picture quality – it appears to show cracks in this cylinder wall which are more than a little terrifying to me, but the focus seems to be a little off and the camera was a bit too long to actually get into the cylinder properly so I gave pic quality 4 stars with the benefit of doubt. (If I could have got the camera in farther the pics would probably be better.) The video actually might be more help than the still pics in this regard. That said, I can imagine this device being extremely helpful in a lot of applications – and the picture quality isn’t bad. The design seems good, the light seems good, the screen is a nice size, and the rechargeable batteries are a plus. Dual camera (front and side) is a huge plus! If possible, I think it would be better if they could make the camera assembly shorter – it would help get around tight angles/corners. That would have probably allowed me to get a better look at this cylinder wall instead of basically taking pics from the spark plug hole. Also, it seems like a design flaw to me that the back of the camera assembly is at a 90 degree angle to the cable. This seems to be a recipe for disaster – you could easily push this into a tight spot for an inspection and find yourself caught and unable to remove the probe! It should be angled at 45% or less and you could virtually eliminate that possibility. Imagine if you got this stuck and had to disassemble the entire top end of a motor to get it out! That said, this seems like a great value with lots of potential and a good addition to almost any toolbox. Handy protective case would have been a nice plus in that regard too.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThis is a review for the Dual Lens DEPSTECH DS300 Endoscope.
I am constantly working on cars, or home projects where the part I am trying to access is buried behind some obstruction. I bought a wi-fi endoscope that used my phone as a display, but was constantly frustrated by the slow/jerky update rate, over-exposed/blurry images and the WI-FI link to my phone constantly dropping out. It also seemed like it took 3 arms to operate: one to guide the probe, one to keep the transmitter from flopping around and the third to hold my phone.

I decided this time to buy an integrated display/endoscope and after going through the specs and reviews, decided on the DS300. When it arrived, I put it to immediate use finding the source of an annoying rattle on my Wife’s’ car. It was dark when I started and I was very pleased that the scope with it’s ‘Bluart’ system provided crisp/clear/bright images of what was hidden behind the engine block, allowing me to quickly find the loose clamp causing the rattle. While I was probing, I used both the straight and side cameras and would not buy another endoscope without this feature — it is a game changer when the probe is buried deep and you are trying to maneuver it into just the right position.

The size and resolution are perfect for my needs and am glad I chose this unit instead of going for a much pricier alternative. As to my old endoscope, it is on it’s way to the Salvation Army.

Great portable Endoscope for Home and Auto repair.

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersThis is my first endoscope. I chose this one due to good reviews about image quality and for the side camera. I posted a video with some sample videos and images (one goofing around under a couch, one when I attached to an extension pole with the Gutter Sense and used it to give me a bird’s eye view of my gutters!). I plan to use this to check our dryer vent for excess lint. I’ll re-attach to the extension pole and check around our attic (which I can’t get into) for leaks or any problems.

    Pros:
    + Good video quality
+ Easy to use once you learn what each subtly marked button does
+ Dual view cameras- comes in clutch when you don’t know what you’re doing like me!
+ Comes with 32GB card (you can use a microSD adapter for computers that only read SD cards or larger)
+ Long cable that is as rigid as it needs to be, but it’s pretty easy to manage. Camera end stays in position when I bend it a certain way.

    Cons:
    – You have to be looking at the display screen straight on to see it clearly (in other words, poor viewing angles).
    – Still image quality is okay, but not amazing. File sizes are less than 100kb. Might be difficult if I was relying on still images to identify something I’m not sure about.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersI replaced my previous well used Depstech USB endoscope with this new dual-camera fully featured model to end the frustration of dealing with the App via laptop or cell phone requirement which was too much hassle during long projects.

DEPSTECH is a brand offered by Shenzhen Deepsea Innovation Technology Company Limited with offices in China, the UK and Germany. The case is NOT included so you’ll want to order one at the same time as either your choice of the single or dual-camera version of this model. Hint: get the dual-camera option. Next let’s hope for a three or four camera version. 3D please, just saying ahem…

Here are some views from inside a two story wall about 4-feet up. Several feature the picture taking capabilities of this new model along with unedited video footage The view shows an obstructing fire block and drilled hole for a new Ethernet cable transit.

2-megapixel is a laughably low resolution when compared to lowest price point cell phones, laptops, or novelty cameras and the like, but the HD digital feature does produce some remarkably good shots none-the-less. It’s also the only way to see behind sheets of drywall without a high powered xray device or demolition. People expecting iPhone graphics quality however will be disappointed.

Zip-tying the camera to a wire fish length of rod (SWANLAKE 11′ Fiberglass Running Wire Cable Coaxial Electrical Fish Tape Pull Push Kit With Glow Rod) worked wonders for stabilizing the image as the assembly was maneuvered through the target space especially for video recording. The controls are easy to navigate.

I didn’t see much improvement in the overall image quality generally when compared to the previous unit but the convenience improvement offered by this model with the dual camera option is EPIC. I decided to stick with Depstech after reviewing higher and lower priced options from other companies.

Decent value for the price without sacrificing too much function. I can see clearly now that the wire missed the hole again….haha.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a well-specified 1060p camera plus monitor, the camera is more or less waterproof and the rechargeable NiMH battery lasts for at least one hour on my test. The lighting led’s are powerful and can be varied in intensity, and the probe cable is long enough to complete most tasks easily.

You also get a 32gb memory card and the photos and videos it stores are of surprisingly good quality. It was able easily to read small print in my newspaper.

I would say the build quality is very good too.

It only narrowly misses a 5-star rating because it really needs a clamp or something similar so the screen can be seen without having to hold it.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersThis dual camera endoscope or inspection camera it is what it says an inspection camera, it is not 1080P image quality or even close to it, at best will be 480P. Now does that it is intent for, get in to inaccessible areas to inspect and see what you need to see in order to make a decision. Now it is not a high video quality low light camera system and I wouldn’t expect something like that at this price point. The screen it is big and nice compared with the gun like type of inspection camera that you can find with a smaller screen. There is no case that you can keep the camera handy, just the original box. It comes with a 32GB micro SD card and battery charge ready to use. Manual it is basic and easy to understand. I will give it a 5 stars if the image quality is betting and clear to represent the 1080P that claims to be.

I am a machinery inspection engineer by trade and have been using the Depstech app based endoscope for over 2 years without any issues. I just wanted an all in one device that didn’t tie my phone up.
As I have been very happy with Depstech products in the past I decided to try their endoscope with a built in lcd screen.
Picture quality is much better than I expected, and it comes with a 32GB micro SD card installed for storing videos or images.
The dual lens system is an added bonus allowing better viewing versatility. The ability to flip the image by 180 degrees is very handy if the image is upside down on the screen.
Included items include a charging cable as well as hook and magnet attachments for retrieving dropped items in hard to reach places. Also included is a 45 degree mirror attachment.
The 16.5 foot waterproof cable is flexible yet still rigid enough to manoeuvre it where you want it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a just what I need for when I have to occasionally inspect hidden places such as wall cavities, ceiling voids or pipe runs without having to do a destructive survey. It arrived well packaged and with written instructions. Its very easy to use and the picture quality is great. My previous endoscope which plugged into my phone only had a ‘forward’ facing camera which made picking out some details difficult. Having the two cameras at 90deg to each other will hopefully make this easier. The handset is shaped to make it easy to hold and operate which I found awkard with the phone which I was always worried about dropping. The only negative points are that it is only the probe which is IP67 rated and the rubber flap which covers the SD Card/USB socket is a bit easy to accidentally open.

  98. LibbyGillette says:

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI already owned an endoscope that was app based and I was a bit hesitant to make the switch to a dedicated screen because I thought the screen quality would be second-rate. I’m pleased to report that even though I don’t have the newest phone, the quality of the built-in screen is outstanding by comparison. I also love not having to setup the connections to the app and be able to just turn it on and have it ready to use.

The device comes with a charging cable and several hooks/magnets for retrieving things with the endoscope. That is one of the handiest uses I have found for it so far. Lost a ring down the drain? You can grab it with the endoscope camera and hook. Dropped a bolt down into your engine while you are working on the car? You can fish it out now and it’s even easier with the dual lens system that lets you see the front, side, or both simultaneously of wherever you are looking.

Overall, I would recommend this product for anyone needing an endoscope. I have purchases several devices form this company and they all seem to hold up extremely well and are well made.

    Very nice scope!

I got this to add to my toolbox at work (builder/roofer). I’ve had a few occasions where I’ve been unable to see in to a void and believe that this will solve that problem.

It was fully charged out of the box, lightweight but feels well made. The buttons click nicely and respond quickly. Most of the buttons are dual purpose, press for one function and hold for another. The camera is fixed focus and when you’re in focal range you get a very clear photo/video.

It comes with a 32GB micro SD card installed. You can view on the device itself or on a computer via a card reader.

It has a handy 180 degree flip button if what you’re looking at is upside down. this side camera has its own led light and would be useful for looking round corners but also to help orient the main camera.

It comes with a hook attachment and a magnet attachment. The magnet is good and strong and easily help my keyring with 5 keys on it (see photo).

I’ve attached a short test video.

It would have nice if a case was included, but it’s not a deal breaker. A feature I would have liked is to be able to plug the camera directly in to a computer via the supplied USB cable and view files directly. As it stands you have to take the card out and use a card reader (unless I’m doing something wrong!).

Overall I am very pleased and would buy another Depstech product.
