This phone is easy to use for elderly people, my miserable mother in law loves it and she is a lively 88 !!
Nothing to dislike but maybe it could have been a we bit louder as you cannot hear it if it is in the kitchen and you are else where.
Bought this for my elderly mother who struggles with any type of technology. I have been really impressed with the build quality and software, it only took me 30 minutes to get everything set up. Thankfully mum found it easy to master making calls and we are now working on text messages, which is a bit more complicated. All in all its a good quality and easy to use phone.
Exactly what we were looking for.
The proof will be after we have had a few days with the product!
Great phone, easy to use, great battery life and a good price.
Set up was fairly easy once I’d worked out it needed a micro sim, not a NANO sim card to work! Managed to put the Nano sim back into it’s housing to make it right size. In the settings you can adjust how to answer ie simply by opening flip phone, or requiring to press the ANSWER key, after you’ve seen who’s calling.
When texting, by default it uses the annoying “predictive text” input; to turn off, when writing a text, simply press the # key, and scroll down the options.
A useful feature, not in manual is ability to nominate the “2 to 9” keys to a specific contact. [“1” automatically is dedicated to voicemail.] To allocate say number “6” to a contact press that key and a prompt screen pops up; it says no number is allocated; just select the contact book icon that appears, and then scroll down contacts and select one of your choice. When you need to call that number, you just need press number 6; no need to scroll through contact list in phone.
I like the ease of reading the screen, the sound is very clear too, and the machine has a robust build. Texting is a bit more difficult — it helps to switch off the predictive text, which is useless.
Was a replacement for the same make but older phone. Easy to use for the person it was fo
This phone was simple to use, just as described, although I haven’t found out yet how to turn off predictive text, despite help from my grandchildren. I have accidently pressed the help button a couple of times, so I am glad I have it contacting my daughter rather than the emergency services! It was exactly what I wanted in a phone, nothing complicated and I am able to listen to the radio and take nice photos. Very pleased with the product and the delivery was very prompt from the seller.
Very happy with the product, great phone for my gra
The Doro 6820 phone is ideal for users who simply require a text and talk phone only. The buttons are large enough to press, without the fear of hitting the wrong one. Really a boon for the less nimble fingers! There is also an emergency contact function that can be set and then activated by a single button at the rear of the handset. It comes “unlocked” and will suit an elder person like my good-self..
