I have been 3D printing for a couple of years and decided to expend out into resin printing. After considerable research I decided that Elegoo made the better printers at this price point and that this model was the best investment. I want to print medium size statues and miniatures for painting and this gave the bigger build volume. So far I have only produced three test prints and one small bust model (Rodin’s The Thinker from the excellent Scan The World collection) and all the results have been excellent with no failures. I used the supplied levelling card and that has worked fine despite problems some people have had in the past. I use Elegoo’s water washable resin and that has worked well.
The only drawback I find is that the screen with the controls is very small and I have trouble seeing the buttons. I have already had one costly mistake where I pressed the wrong button resulting in a punctured fep and a resin leak. The problem is that the button graphics are inconsistent – in some places you press home to go back a level in the menu but I pressed home to go back at the wrong place and the printer started to home itself to the zero height position with the build plate angled for draining. Unfortunately there is no equivalent of octaprint available to provide controls from a PC screen which would have avoided this issue.
So had a bad start using the elegoo water washable resin, move to another brand and immediately got my expectations blown away! the learning curve is about a day to two days lots of youtube and research after this your away! I did have a few little accidents i put a whole through my fep really upset about that but even more upset that they couldnt ship a 500+ machine with a couple of spares so this put me back a day i purchase some more at a extortionate price and fitted it with ease. Finally all back up and running gets my successful print and the quality is mind blowing! really happy with this machine!
So far I like the printer, I am getting ready to print some test prints. I am trying the water washable resin
to start with. May try traditional resins later. Printer was very well packaged with no damage when I received it.
I had purchased the Saturn, but after I received it the Saturn “S” went on sale & was only $20 more than the Saturn! AMAZON TO THE RESCUE!!! No ?’s asked I return the “Saturn” & got my Upgraded “Saturn S” . I purchased this for about a 60%discount from its original price.
I posted the photo of the ROOK Chess (TEST-PRINT) check out that incredible DETAIL!!!I’ve owned a AnyCubic Photon & this Saturn S BLOWS IT AWAY!!! I’m SO HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE!!!!
I’ve used the traditional filament type printers and found the output from this to be eye opening.
I had problems: Pieces detaching from the supports and accidentally puncturing the FEP film, but some studying on youtube and internet forums (e.g. adding drainage/air holes) means I have 90% of my prints workings well.
Even changing the FEP proved tedious but easy..
I do have some questions about the film of resing covering all the build plate but I am hopeful that I can fix that by reducing the exposure very slightly.
Certainly a massive step forward compared with previous 3d printers and extremely well designed and made.
Even the free slicing software is pretty good!
Really enjoying the process so far. It is my first printer and everything seems good so far.
Great printer with a large build volume, also has the best resolution I’ve ever gotten out of a printer before. However didn’t want to work after calibrating the touch screen. Needed to request a response from customer support. They sent me an email with a software update to fix the problem.
I’m ultra new to 3d printing and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
I did a lot of research to figure out what I wanted and on how to use it. Even with that foresight I was able to make a huge mess and get resin everywhere! Not the printers fault. It was all my noobishness.
There is a learning curve. If you’ve never used a resin printer be prepared you will make at least one huge mess!
All told though I love this printer and am getting great results!
I highly recommend checking out Uncle Jesse on YouTube for great beginner tips.
A solid performing machine from Elegoo at a good price and delivered quickly.
Steep and costly learning curve. When I get it right the quality of prints are exceptional
Using an SLA printer is way easier than online reviews made it out to be.1st print in pic worked flawlessly.
There is a little bit of a learning curve, but not any harder than a FDM printer. Would buy again. Definitely buy the Mercury X or plus wash & cure station. makes things much easier.
Great products. Fast shipping even tho it was not released when I purchased it yet it was released a week early. Great packaging as well.
Worth the money if youre already doing a lot of resin printing. Makes cleaning a breeze, its dual function is awesome. I already hate handling the resin and the constant clean up so this is NECESSARY for a tidy work space, no shaking pans or jugs of minis.
I have probably had about 50 perfect prints and 1 failed print due to not screwing the bed down! Great bit of kit.

While a wash and cure station is somewhat luxurious given how basic washing and curing is, this thing def makes life easier for processing resin prints. The interface is easy to use with capacitive “buttons” for the time and mode (cure vs. wash). It’s pretty quiet. And it’s easy to clean (which is handy if you want to reuse your IPA but have built up some resin in the cleaning vat).
The only downsides I can think of are that it seems to default to cure mode when you turn it on, which makes it easy to accidentally start curing when you want to wash. Would have been nice for it to automatically sense if you have the rotating plate on or not to automatically set the right mode. The other slightly annoying bit is the fan keeps running for a couple minutes after you cure. Likely a safety precaution to vent heat but it’s annoying to have to wait for it instead of being able to turn it off right away after use. The plate that spins when you are curing is also kinda tough to get on and off. And lastly, while I know this is Elegoo and they want you to use it with their printer, it’d be nice if the attachment for the printer baseplate was more universal (I print on a Phrozen Sonic Mini 4K so the baseplate attachment is useless for me).
Overall very happy with this and if you have an Elegoo printer you should def get the matching wash and cure station if you don’t mind shelling out a bit of extra dough for the convenience factor this provides.
I had issues with a 3D printer ELEGOO sent me but they fixed the errors and made it very easy for me to be a supportive customer. You can expect everything to go right all the time but when things went wrong, ELEGOO made it right.
As for the machine itself, I have no complaints. It did exactly what it was supposed to do and it did it well. I plan on doing a full review on YouTube when I get my resin printer re-ordered in the mail.
I have two of this printers.
They are very good machines. The build quality is quite good, nothing to complain about it.
I’m printing a lot of parts in one go and so far I have 100% success in 2k parts.
The provided tools are pretty good too, the spatula works well and is sharp. I have another resin printers and I had to sharp the spatulas in order to use them. Allen keys are good quality too and it comes with some spare screws.
A+ packaging.
In terms of the speed, as a mono. It is 2x a regular LCD printer. The bed is very good and the leveling levelling easy but I use the method with the resin vat on. Using the paper result in the bed being too close to the MLCD.

I bought this product and put it to heavy use. Noticed some wearing due to the wash bucket drooping a bit on bottom when filled. They replaced it quickly and free of charge. Sent a new fans that I thought was making some noise. No questions, just wanted to help. I’ll buy from them again.
I received mine just a few days ago but it has seen near constant use. The quality is fantastic and it does everything that it should. The magnetic stirrer works great for cleaning prints in IPA and the curing lights are fast and effective. The only problem I had was the lid and bucket were slightly warped due to shipping during a desert summer but the manufacturer was quick with an offer to replace. Great device and fantastic customer service!
Cannot review yet This is a birthday present for my adult son he won’t get it till 20 August so cannot review i
I purchased the Elegoo Mercury Plus to go with an Elegoo Mars Pro I had just purchased as well. After using it for just a few days I can say this wash and cure machine is an excellent solution for post-processing your resin prints!
The Elegoo Mercury Plus came very well packaged and free of damage. The unit was very easy to learn and use.
I would recommend getting this unit for anyone getting into resin printing. It helps take the guesswork out of post-processing by manual methods.
I did rate this 4 out of 5 stars only because I did have one hiccup with this unit. After using it a couple of times one bank of lights will not turn back on; however, I reached out to Elegoo and they responded right away with the offer to send a new light bar. I will update my review once I receive the new light bar.
Very easy to use this product. It makes resin clean up very easy and it’s not as messy to clean your print and then cure it. The machine itself is very easy to use, it’s a must have for your resin printers! The ability to take the build plate right from my Mars 2 Pro with my print on it and put it right into the Elegoo Mercury Cure and Wash is a game changer with resin printing. Customer Support is the best.
Very easy to use product, I like using it. looking good one too. I really enjoy using it. Avoiding the mess to cure printed objects and cleans pretty decent. Although the one I have makes a hissle sound after operation is complete. I am not sure if that is a fault or normal.
This machine has made the cleanup process so much faster, easier, and cleaner on all my resin prints. Definitely would recommend anyone who has a resin printer to also invest in this wash and cure station!
