The eco-roof is both UV and fully waterproof. It gently slopes to ensure water drains off quickly and underside grooves stop water coming in to keep the hedgehogs nice and dry. The roof is made out of a recycled plastic blend that doesn’t rot and ensures longevity.

I am a retired carpenter and this item is well made.
Well made, good design, does have a floor throughout, I think reviews for two different models have been combined in error.
It looks wonderful – all I need now is a way of encouraging my hedgehog to use it! I’ve just put some straw in, and hopefully have put it in a good location. But only time will tell I guess?
Only 4 because the packaging was poor and as a result the screws of one hinge had been pulled out, easily fixed though. The box was over sized and there was only packing around three of the lid corners and the banding around the outside was slack in all four cases.
The Hedgehogs have quickly sussed it out and like the through route. Happily, so far the foxes and cats have not tried to get at the food.
In conclusion therefore a good product let down by delivery packaging.
Well made sturdy product. Should last a lot longer than cheaper hedgehog homes made with thin walls etc.

Well made but for the price I would have expected a floor. this would reduce slug access.
Purchased this as every night my hedgehog’s food was being eaten by the neighbourhood Tom’s. I was literally having to go back out time and again to refill for the hedgehogs, (we’re talking 5-6 pouches a night which they were managing to get to despite my best efforts to hide it).
This arrived really quickly. It’s solid and very well made. Love the fact that I know my hedgies are safe and able to eat their food in peace.

Very sturdy – ready assembled; hedgehogs took to it immediately and keeps cats off the hog food & water. Win Win. Would highly recommend even though it’s not ‘cheap’ it has already gone through the storms we had and I’m sure it will last for years. Spend the money now and you probably won’t have to buy another one to replace it!

A really good product. Cannot fault it. Definately cat proof as seen on my trail camera. Our hedgy found it on the first night. The local cats had pilaged the plastic box I had previously adapted into a feeding station, so I needed something cat proof.
This is made of sturdy wood and has remained dry even through the persistent rain . No hedgehog has moved in yet, but it is December. A couple of mice have taken up residence.
It is well made and I am pleased with it. Hopefully a hedgehog will move in later.

Notification of despatch was received just hours after placing order and delivery by Royal Mail was several days earlier than estimated. The box comes fully assembled and was suitably packed. Sturdily constructed from thick wood panels and screwed together. The composite lid is firmly hinged and quite heavy and it is extremely unlikely the strongest of winds could blow it open. The lid has a hasp to lock anyway, so the larger or more insistent creatures won’t be able to open it.
Our box is located under evergreen shrub branches and stands on grassed/bare ground. After a week with heavy rain, constant checks have found the interior completely dry. (There are two wooden crosspieces underneath the box which keep the floor off the ground as well)
The interior space is roomy. We put in bedding straw to hopefully encourage the hedgehogs who visit nightly. We have not found one inside or going in yet, but from second night on , we find the shape of a small body impressed on the straw and the bedding being shaped around. Looks very cosy in there. We did sprinkle in more straw and relevelled it and found again next day the cosy nest set up. So it looks like the box is successfully attracting and homing something at least but all signs are its the hedgehog(s)
No real negatives to this product or service. Perhaps some way to keep the lid up while servicing the inside would help, although i have to say its more where we have the box located that makes it slightly awkward. Ovverall very satisfied with the purchase.

I’ve located this next to the hedgehog house in a shady position and it’s really popular with the local hedgehogs. Definitely fox and cat proof although the first night a fox tried to dig underneath so I put some logs round which seems to have done the trick. Well built and sturdy. Our little hedgehog even nips in there during the day for a snack and then goes back to bed. Very pleased with this purchase.

Easy to open with useful wooden support to keep it open whilst you re-fill. Clasp to lock it so that dog/fix cannot open. Am going to buy another one for my Mum’s garden. Price reflects the craftsmanship and solid materials used. This will last a long time.

Ideal for keeping the food dry and troublesome foxes away. Product is waterproof and substantial. More robust screws to secure the hinges would improve the quality of the finished item.
This is really well built, I’m absolutely delighted with it. Plenty of room for my hogs to eat their food and weather proof and most importantly pigeon proof! Highly recommend, it means I don’t have to wait until dark to make sure the birds don’t eat all of the hogs food anymore

Love this food station having two exits in case of emergency for the hedgehog is brilliant. There is no asembly as it comes made up. It is getting used now with hedgehogs visiting for food. I also bought a hedgehog house at the same time which has the same quality very sturdy and they both keep dry. I am now very happy that all visiting and staying hedgehogs in the future are safe. So pleased with these products worth the money paid
Was even better quality than I expected. Already assembled so nothing to do put put in place and wait. 1st night our wildlife camera caught our hedgehog going straight in and has used it every day since. I nearly never bought this feeder because of the price but am very glad I did. Saving my pennies now so I can purchase the nesting box for the winter.

There is nothing to dislike. Came as didn’t have to assemble it. Good and sturdy, weatherproof which is what is needed for the hedgehogs. I had put an extra ‘bit’ on simply so his food was protected from the weather, birds and cat. So I just got a plastic box cut out a section of it to go over the entrance so I could put his food and water in it. He appears to love his home.
Delivered next day and only took resident hedgehog a couple of days to use it… and cats can’t get in!
Exactly as described. Cannot comment on whether this is waterproof as it will require a full season of weather for a good test!
We really like the fact that the foxes and our cats cannot access the hedgehog food. It looks very attractive and because there is no floor, it can easily be lifted and the ground underneath cleaned. We have it on our patio, it easily found by all the hedgehogs we look after and they quickly managed to find their way in. Very pleased indeed.

Excellent build quality, treated wood to prevent rotting and to keep rain out. Good weather proof lid with really good hinges and predated proof fastener.
This feeding station , though heavy, is well designed and certainly weatherproof. It is now well used by the hedgehogs visiting my garden. It also blends in with its surroundings so doesn’t spoil the view in that part of the garden. It is real value for money.

Sturdy, clever design to deter predators. Weather resistant. The real test is how it lasts over a period of time of course, but the quality looks very promising.
There is no external tunnel (I wasn’t expecting one anyway as there was no mention of one on the listing), but there is a staggered entrance which should hopefully stop or deter any unwanted nighttime visitors.
Overall, I’m very pleased with it and can’t wait until my newly born garden hoglets are using it to feed and / or overwinter.
