As described and as advertised.
Well packaged and presented and this would make a nice gift for Xbox gamers.
We LOVE the integrated usb cable – it fits cleanly in the side of the charger and has enough length to charge in wall socket next to xbox etc. Even better is the flexibility of the usb charge input too – just incase you only had a usb c port available.
We really like the charging indicators – read means charging; green means charged and no light means idle. It’s incredibly easily to tell which batteries are charging and which are charged.
All four charging slots can be used independently.
Good compatibility details provided by seller if you are buy as a gift.
Decent battery charge rate (5-6 hours) and gametime (~20-25 hours) and each battery is rechargeable up to 2000 times!
Good anti-slip feet so this stays stable by the Xbox or wherever you wish to charge.
Built-in overcharge, over current, overheat and short circuit protection noting that we can’t test these so taken in good faith! The unit does some kind of self test each time it powers on but no real details as to what this is doing
Can’t fault it!
What a fantastic item this is. The unit is well built and the materials used to construct it are great quality. The charger is small and the dimensions are 8.3 x 8.3 x 7.7 cm, weighing in at 370 Grams, so portable enough to carry about when taking a trip out to friends or on holiday. Each battery pack can be recharged up to 2000 times, making it very cost effective. No more raking around for batteries or having to dispose of spent batteries. The charger is easy to use and has 2 Charging options with a 9.45cm USB Cable and Type-C allowing you to chose the best way to charge your unit. This is a simple and cost effective battery charger, making it good for the planet and your pocket, so therefore it’s 5* from me folks.
A compact for battery charger for Xbox One controllers they work very well so no more bang batteries and you can charge Rasputin the Xbox using a USB cable do you where the batteries only fit one way round of the 2550 facing outwards great value and would recommend
These work well, with a good charging dock with red/green led lights.
Fit perfectly into each controller and all 3 of them are still going strong.
The swap out and in with these is far more convenient that having rechargeable batteries.
Even has a type C port to charge other stuff via this too. Very neat product.
4 pcs of batteries plus charger. Works perfectly on my xbox one controllers, long life batteries easy to use.
The charger comprises of a base unit, with an fixed USB cable attached, and four battery packs. Each battery pack consists, essentially, of two AA batteries combined in a bespoke battery pack single unit.
Since I received the charger, we’ve haven’t used normal AA rechargeable batteries for the Xbox controllers on a single occasion.
Initially I was disappointed because the charge capacity of each “pack” – the equivalent of two AA batteries – is 2550 mAh. Usually I use Eneloop batteries which are 2500 mAh each i.e. almost twice as much per two batteries as one of these battery packs.
Using this charger though means that I can keep my higher charge capacity batteries for other uses and, importantly, it means that my son doesn’t end up losing the individual AA batteries. This is a big bonus for me and despite the batteries having half the charge of my usual batteries, he doesn’t mind because swapping the immediately available batteries is easy and quick.
This unit sits next to my Xbox – permanently plugged into a USB hub with a powered charging output – and charges the batteries constantly so that there is always a charged set when required. We use two controllers intensively so one set of batteries is charging whilst one is in use.
It is possible to plug the charger into the Xbox USB port and also into a standard PC/Mac USB port. However, it seems to charge much more quickly when plugged into a wall charger or charging port on a USB hub. The batteries take about four hours to charge when plugged into a USB wall charger via the attached USB cable and, it seems, slightly faster when using the USB C socket connector and a wall charger. I prefer to use the powered USB hub and the USB cable that is attached to the body of the charger.
Using a low power trickle charger from the Xbox USB port does work but it takes longer – not a problem if you don’t need new batteries regularly.
My son gets about three and a half to four hours of play out of the batteries – maybe slightly more on games with low or no vibration effects.
When using the Xbox controller with PC games and a PC Bluetooth adapter, I get probably just under three hours per battery pack.
Overall I really like this charger. It is lightweight, small in size, and very easy to use. I wish that the battery capacity was bigger but this is really the only shortcoming and one that is more or less solved by a quick swap of a newly charged pack.
Pros:
– four battery packs (equivalent to 8 AA batteries)
– choice of charging methods using either the attached USB cable or a USB C connected charging cable
– doesn’t take up much desktop space
– batteries fit very nicely into the Xbox controller (I have tested with several generations of controller)
– easy for children to use the battery packs and less chance of losing/misplacing individual AA batteries
– looks good: charging base is deep black and the batteries have a colour scheme compliant green label
Cons:
– each battery pack has a charge of 2550 mAh – equivalent of two AA batteries of 1275 mAh each
– attached USB cable is difficult to pry out of its groove fitting in the body of the charger
– doesn’t seem to support fast charging of batteries
Rechargeable Xbox One Controller Batteries.
I love everything about this charging unit and batteries. Without a doubt the build quality is second to none. The batteries are obviously a direct replacement. Rechargeable batteries are definitely the way forward, and they cut down on single use batteries. The manufacturer claim the batteries can be charged 2000 times. The coloured LED lights show the status of the batteries during the charging process. I would recommend 100%, it’s a great addition to your Xbox.
We use this with our Xbox One controllers and so far so good.
It’s easy to use and charges the batteries very quickly. Whether it’s charging one battery at a time or all four together. The charging time doesn’t increase because we add more batteries to charge. I really like that fact about this.
The charger is powered by a USB cable, which I plug into the Xbox itself.
Once charged the batteries last a long time and are excellent quality.
I wish I had got a product like this a long time ago.
Love this no more trying to find batteries for my sons controllers this comes with 4 batteries so can power upto 4 controllers and has a USB charge plug. Once the batteries are in it lights up green/ red if they need charging.
I can’t believe that Xbox still comes with standard batteries rather than a rechargeable battery pack. I got this for this reason and so far it’s performed well. Charging doesn’t take too long and the packs seem to last many hours of gameplay. There are four batteries so they can be swapped out when the other one dies. The red and green lighting indicates the charging status. Overall an excellent product, recommended.
Excellent bit of kit fit controller well and work perfectly
What a great gift for a gamer. There’s controllers in my house that get left when they’re out of charge and I have to recharge everything. This charger is really small and neat, fitting into the palm of my hand and very lightweight, I was surprised it’s so powerful. It charges quickly and I like the fact you can see the charging progress. Great for an Xbox fa
The batteries do have some charge in them, but it’s better to charge them first. The whole unit is very compact and comes with a USB charger wire built in or there is a socket for a USB C wire. Been using them constantly for gaming and very happy with it.
I was very surprised when the charger including 4 batteries arrived in a small box, the charger itself fits into the palm of my hand and is light weight and well made.
The batteries charades quickly from red to green and are working well in my husbands Xbox controller.
The instructions advise you to place the batteries upside down in the charging doc once charged , when it’s not in use if that’s where you are wanting to store them.
Rechargeable batteries are great for controllers as normal batteries don’t last long at all.
I would recommend this product based on my experience with it so far, hopefully the batteries charge will last a long time when In use.
Love this thing. With multiple controllers in the house in use each day, these rechargable battery packs are a blessing. I’ve had 1000mah batteries before and these, being over double that, easily outlast the 1000(which they naturally should, but you never know what you are getting). They fit nicely in the stand, and it’s super easy to see which are charged, and which are charging. With two options for charging (I have mine plugged in using the built in cable, directly into the front of my series X), you can’t go wrong. Love them.
Batteries are very expensive and seeing as Microsoft have still yet to produce an official controller that is rechargeable (yet Sony and Nintendo have done for a while now) shelling out for them is a costly hidden expense of owning an Xbox!
This 4 pack of rechargeable batteries is excellent value – it says you get 2000 charges out of each pack (which will hopefully take a very long while to prove!) and 20 hours per charge. I’m finding the 20 hours per charge to be fairly accurate – having used to fully charged packs since receiving these and playing for just over 41 hours in total (granted, this duration will reduce over time as they get to the end of their life).
Let’s look at the maths – say this pack at 35 lasts a year minimum and you would normally go through about 8 AA batteries a month – that’s about 70 a year (Energiser Max 8 pack at about 6) so half price and less hassle.
Worth it!
Great for battery replacements for my xbox controllers
Direct replacement and fits perfectly each battery.
The charger charges pretty fast so I can start playing again if its low battery.
Each battery holds good amount of power and lasts many hours of play time
I got this product for review because my 9 year old son is going through 2 aa batteries a day with his x box controller and these are a 4 pack of rechargeable 2550 battery packs designed for all x box one controllers and fair play they seem to last longer than conventional batteries and when they are done just put them in the charge Dock there is a light indicator to tell you when they are charged and honestly a must have if you are having the same problem going through so many batteries great product which I highly recommend
Well what can you say about rechargeable batteries? Actually this is quite a neat little set…I say little because the charger really is compact as you can see in my pic. The charging/charges red & green LED’s look pretty cool! & it’s nice to have the option of plugging in via usb or usb-c.
While the orientation of the batteries matters when inserting them into a controller (& the batteries are CLEARLY marked with + & – signs)….you can drop them into the charger either way round. I did find the fit to be not exactly perfect…ie..I could slightly rock a battery slightly to one side & it would lose contact with the terminals but it’s nothing major & just being able to drop them in is much better than slotting as is normally usual.
These went in & powered up controllers for an xbox one-s no problem…although at first I thought they didn’t fit….I was trying to insert them the wrong way round! Ie…the battery contacts being inserted to connect with the larger contacts in the controller that stick out…it’s the other way round so take note!
Anyway a neat & handy little unit I’m impressed with…on the face of it you’re getting four battery packs…but this obviously equates to eight rechargeable AA batteries…..worth the money overall with the savings you’ll make on batteries….we have two controllers so there’s always two sets of batteries on standby. The only downside to this item over conventional battery/charger combinations to be considered is the fact you can’t use these in other battery operated items..they are xbox specific given the shape…so it’s something worth considering. Can’t believe I’ve almost written a book on batteries!
