You may say these are pricey – well, you get what you pay for – even in bbq accessories ! They are exceptionally strong skewers and their length is just right. They don’t bend or warp even when really loaded with food. I soak them for a few days prior to use. At our Jubilee residents’ bbq they didn’t even scorch. Because of their 4mm width food doesn’t slip and slide on them. They are so good that I’m giving up on my old tried and trusted metal skewers. These Hossian skewers are the best I’ve ever used. And, just in case you’re wondering, no I’m not being paid to write this.!!! They really ARE that good.
These bamboo skewers come nicely boxed. There are 150 with a length of 10 inches and are sharp at one end.
These are perfect for kebabs, especially meaty or heavier kebabs, as they are thick enough to take the weight of meats etc.
At little over a fiver, I consider these skewers to be of good value for money.
You get a good supply for your money here and because these are bamboo rather than wood there is less wastage from snapping as well as the ecological advantage.

I am going to have them used more on the BBQ since I know these are great for heavy items you want to cook such as decent cuts of meat or fish or whole peppers.

Like many families we have numerous barbecues throughout the summer and early autumn period and we plan love kebabs, whether meat or vegetable or mixed and this set of 150 bamboo skewers are absolutely ideal for this purpose, as well s many other uses and I am really pleased I was invited to try them via the Vine Program.
Arriving in a lovely white patterned box that is perfect for keeping unused skewers in, the 150 skewers are approximately 10″ in length (actually they are slightly under) and they are much thicker than the usual sort I buy which means that they are far more robust and sturdy and I have had no problems with any snapping or splintering which is something that often happens with ones I have purchased in the past.
They are made from 100% natural bamboo and are eco friendly, biodegradable and sustainable making them an excellent choice as they do not harm the planet.
They are easy to use, although it is important to remember to soak them in water for a good 10 minutes before using them to stop them burning or catching fire on the barbecue. They are very sharp which makes adding food very easy and the edges are lovely and smooth.
Not only are they perfect for barbecuing and grilling, but they are also great for using for crafting, to help seedlings establish and grow straight, for roasting marshmallows over an open fire and much more. At 9.99 (price at time of review) they are good value for money and far superior to every other skewer I have ever purchased, for this reason and because they are so good I will be using this brand from now on. I also love that Hossian the makers offer a 100% refund if you are not happy for any reason and this makes this a completely risk free purchase and this gives me great faith when choosing a product to purchase as I know the company has their customers best interests at heart. I am more than happy to eye this their deserved 5 stars and to highly recommend them to anyone looking for skewers for any reason.

Great bamboo skewers. It does the job. They are quite thick and good quality. Very easy to use. It feels strong and firm. Also you need to put them in the water for couples hours, just protects of burning. Easy to remove the meat ( doesn’t stick). Suitable to use for oven or BBQ. Didn’t have any problems. Also I am reusing them to, just needs give a good cleaning after usage. Good price, they are much better then others in the shops. Good value!
These are thicker than the skewers I usually buy but also shorter — by about 5 cm (these are 25cm long). That’s not a big issue for the way I typically use them but it’s worth being aware of if you need them to fit a particular tray, for example. The surface texture is very slightly rougher, too, which is good for helping food to hold on the skewer. They’re good value for money and — a nice bonus — the packaging is plastic-free.

I think this is really good product for barbecue season we have now. Because they are thicker it’s easier to use them (they are more stable for putting food on and later or they are easier to eating). Definitely word sturdy can be used here to describe them!
Long enough, very good quality. Sturdy and resistant. They don’t chip.
Excellent for different uses: marshmallows, meat skewers, sausages, vegetables, fish, for desserts such as panettone, colomba.
I recommend not putting them in close contact with the fire but rather on the grill.
Funny but I also used it to remove the dust from behind the radiator because I needed something long and thin.

Well made, quite thick skewers. They are sturdier than most so you don’t have to be afraid that you’ll overstuff them. The presentation was good as well in a cardboard box. Great value for the money

another potential use is as a dowel for (eg) picture frame making. bamboo is very tough and they’d sit nicely in a 4mm hole

Bamboo skewers.
I was sent these in return for my honest opinion on them.
150 pieces of bamboo skewers. These are each 25cm long. They’re nice and smooth, no dents, no rough edges and no spiky areas.
These are nice and strong, so they’re durable enough to push through most foods. Fantastic for grilling with, they can get a little dark when doing this.
I would recommend these. They are slightly more than I thought they would be but I do like the length and strength of them. Fab for kebabs, fruit, chocolate, marshmallows and more.
At 10 inches these are slightly shorter than the ones I usually buy, however you get 150 in the pack and they are thicker than my usual buy so are sturdier making them easier to handle when loaded with food.
As well as kebabs these are great for supporting seedlings and I also use them for lighting our gas oven as the igniter has gone. Take care – the ends are sharp, so keep them away from children and don’t forget to soak them before putting them under the grill. Even though these feel smooth it’s always worth checking for any loose splinters before putting your kebab pieces on them.
Overall – very good.

These are sharp and I’ve actually been using them to make pie holes as they are the perfect thickness. Once the weather clears I’ll be out testing them on the BBQ but I know these are going to be great for heavy items you want to cook such as decent cuts of meat or fish or whole peppers etc. Things the standard skewers would buckle holding.
They are a tad shorter about 3 inches less.
Lovely quality smooth finish sharp point. Remember to presoak in water before use on a BBQ for ten minutes and keep them covered once threaded to keep em moist.

Good length and thickness too
A big box with a lot of kebab skewers. These skewers are 10″ long, which is a bit shorter than the ones I usually just grab from the supermarket. I’m taken a photo to compare the two. The supermarket ones are 12″ but a lot slimmer so much more likely to flex and bend when loaded up, which can be a pain when you’re trying to flip them over to grill the second side. So I like these skewers, they are much more solid and stable.
Lamb kebabs for tea – they worked a treat!
These bamboo skewer sticks are top quality. They are evenly sized, are of the same thickness and are sturdy – unlike many that I have ordered and used historically. Moreover, the sides are pleasingly smooth and do not splinter. They come presented in a recyclable and attractive cardboard outer box which is ideal for storage.
Versatile, these can be used to stake seedlings as well as for grilling vegetables or presenting a mixture of colourful fruit on sticks. I have used these bamboo skewers for all three purposes and the results are stunning.

I’ve use these for all sorts of things. Toasting marshmallows, holding up small plants, vegetable kebabs, fruit fondues and more. The kids swipe these for crafting and these particular ones are really good because they’re actually just that little bit thicker than normal sticks I bought before. Really sturdy and they have a very sharp point at the end.
As skewers, they are really first-rate. Very hard, long, and smooth. Easy to load with food. I however also use them as swabs (I roll cotton wool on them at the ends) and use them for cleaning oil paintings. Excellent for this as well. Very happy with them.

I wanted to replace my metal skewers as they were catching rust at some places. This time I decided to try the wooden skewers as a better organic substitute. We grill maybe once or twice a week so this set of 150 skewers will last us a good time.
Skewers new well made and perfect length to be used on charcoal grill or oven. Handing wood skewers is little different than metal ones. To prevent wooden skewers from burning. they need to be soaked in water for 30-40 min before use. I found that bamboo skewers holds food better than metal skewers. This could be because of the wood grains that gives some friction to hold food. Skewers are smooth and polished. They are pointed on one end so chicken pieces and other meat is easy to poke through. These are very good for individual portions and for parties and sticks can be prepared in advance and stored and grilled when needed.
They cleaned well too. I did soak them in water before scraping the food off it. If handled well these can be used for few uses before disposing them.

These are 10″ long, perfect size for us, not too long, and just about a decent size individual helping. It’s easy to go through a number of these sticks very quickly so I appreciate that the package includes 150 sticks!
I always host summer get-togethers with friends and have grilled vegetable skewers.
These sticks are very good for my veggies to go inside but to serve I cut off the sharp edges, to prevent any kinds of accidents.

150 skewers will last our family for a while. They’re sturdy and mostly smooth. These are the perfect size for vegetarian kabobs, which we eat often because it’s an easy meal. I soak the sticks in water for a half hour, load them up with veggies, put on our stovetop grill pan, and throw on some bottled marinade.
I got these skewers as tools for working with resin, but now I’m thinking that maybe I should put them in my kitchen and get different skewers for resin, because these are REALLY nice. It’s not something I ever expected to say about bamboo skewers, but here we are.
These are great! As soon as they arrived we made skewers for dinner and they worked really well. They withstood the cooking process, and were easy to put the food onto as well. I do have to say that our favorite use for them is to roast marshmallows! Thank you
These bamboo skewers are great for kabobs or other uses. I also cut off the sharp end and let my parrot play with them. She likes to chew them up and conduct an imaginary birdie symphony like a maestro. Obviously, not a lot more to say about this, as it’s a very simple item. But a fair price and you get a lot of them. 5 star rated.
