Nice sound. Bluetooth won’t connect right, but nice sounding speaker. Fit easily behind my monitors.
Much like KEF these speakers use a coaxial driver, I went with them for their price and size and I was not disappointed. While they do not have the most controlled treble response, and their bass is a little lacking a bit of EQ will help. I also suggest some base padding as they are not the most dampened speakers around.
If you’re looking for a step up definitely go with the iLoud Micro
After over 2 years of sitting down at my desk at 8 am every weekday and immediately turning on Spotify and a twitch stream, and using them til 10 at night to play games with the boys, the left monitor finally just stopped. I’ll miss him, honestly, but it was a good 2 years. Not bad JBL.
Lovely, full, rich sound. Great sound with desktop placement. Great projection, especially at higher volumes. Loud!
Writing this after using it for 3 days. I bought this for my PC to replace my old worn out USB powered speakers.
1. The first thing you notice is that the sound quality is great. Particularly if you have been used to cheaper speakers. Here the quality is professional. You get a bit of the studio/theater effect. When you listen to music or watch videos you can feel the difference.
2. The headphone socket on the speakers is very useful when I do my online classes. I can quietly plug in and listen without using the speakers.
3. The total volume / Decibel(DB) output is not that high as I expected from a 60 watt speaker. I was using a 6 watt speaker before this and here the DB is just a bit higher. You would expect a lot more from a 60 watt speaker. So that was a bit of a disappointment. But it still meets my needs : movies, music, online classes(which I record using software and playback).
So very good quality sound, BUT DB while good enough not high as expected.

Speakers sound great. Has mild to moderate bass response depending on volume level.
I purchased these speakers for a specific reason that isn’t exactly what it is intended for. I hooked these speakers up to the center channel out and placed them on either side of my TV. I had all the other speakers in place but needed the most important center. They work like a charm.
It’s a one time investment. Good Speakers. If you can add sub woofers, it will work even better.
Overall, it’s totally worth buying.

Sent without speaker wire to connect the two speakers. That was pretty annoying. That aside, they are great – small profile – computer speakers. Really punchy. Much better than a lit of the other desktop speakers. Choose these over the tiny ones every time.

We wanted compact PC desk speakers that could play music to a high quality without costing a fortune. The JBLs really deliver that. They’re very solidly built and completely feel like an investment that’ll last a decade or more.
The music quality is great: strong, confident and detailed. There’s plenty of strength for an office room, bedroom or kitchen and it just depends how big your living room is as to what you’d get. That’s fine – they have a wattage and they can do what that grants them. Very impressed. They’ve been doing great for games, too.
One speaker is the master, containing the amplifier and PSU, and the other is a slave. The linking cable is nicely long enough to get good desk placement. It would be easy to extend if you need more.
The only small concern I had was on their stability. The flat bottom area is not terribly large so, in my head, they feel like one knock and they’ll be over. However, that’s really just in my head as two sets have been on desks here for months and we’ve not had one wobble, despite desk knocks. So there’s no proof to go with what’s just a feeling, so don’t be swayed by that – they haven’t. And they’re reassuringly heavy so they have a solid hold on their ground.
After a month or so’s trial of a first set, I was very pleased to order a second set for another desk. Great buy.
Really pleased with these! Sound quality is excellent and paired with Sennheiser headphones, they improve my Zoom life so much. Bluetooth connectivity is great and music sounds fantastic. JBL Pro Tech Support is excellent & knowledgeable.
Amazing, very detailed sound. Not much bass, naturally, but much, much better lows than most computer speakers. Great connectivity options and convenient controls. Good looking and very well built.
Esta muy bien a cuanto a colectividad, no tengo problemas con la conexin RCA. La potencia es justa, pero si los separas de la pared no tiende a distorsionar. Supongo que con un bajo aparte completarlas todo el spectro
These speakers are best for home studio monitors. Flat sound and good bass will amaze you.
These Speakers are solid and feel high quality in the build. They are well put together. When mixing sound or just listening to music or a movie you do not want some filters or built in bass boost distorting the sounds. These sound great and I absolutely love all the inputs. Not only all the inputs but the ability to play all sources at the same time. It took me almost a year of researching buying and returning other 3″ to 5″ professional monitors. These sound about the same as the $300 – $400 range speakers. I couldn’t be happier.

These are brilliant reference speakers for a computer, and having various inputs adds to their versatility. Have two pairs of these in different rooms and they sound great in both. For mastering, heard things that previously hadnt on other speakers, lovely rich sound too
For the price I got them for at $99, they are a great value. I wouldn’t pay much more than that for them though, there are better things on the marke

Works great for desktop setup. Sound quality is good and clear. Bass is fine but missing subwoofer is obvious. Good set of computer speaker for clean and clear sound.
I am using these as computer speakers, and I really love them. These totally blow away traditional computer speakers. At low levels their sound is full-bodied, crisp, and high fidelity. But you can fill a room with excellent undistorted sound.
The speakers sound well, I expected a bit more power. Overall I am satisfied and I think that at 100 CAD the value for the money is good.
I have an Apple Homepod and AKG K7XX headphones. These sound better than the Homepod (while being more versatile) and sound as good as the AKG headphones (which were $350).
I like them. Good for my desk. Not super loud but great sound quality and rumble. Not ideal for music production as they’re not super loud.

Qued muy contento con la calidad, y que adems no necesitas la interfaz en una primera instancia, puedes utilizarlos sin problema conectndolos directamente a la laptop y si quieres despus conseguir la interfaz para una mayor calidad. Para comenzar y con presupuesto ajustado son lo mejor que encontrars!

Design, weight and connections are superb. The volume is a little less than expected, I’ll just use more main volume. Very clear, no static or hiss. Overall great for the price. Awesome deal.
They sound good enough for me to use whenever i don’t wish to use headphones. Neutral sounding, so not heavy on Bass or Treble. Good all-around set. I also like that they don’t need to be angled up to my ears for the best sound, since they have a wider than average dispersion pattern.

Volume — not nearly as high as really any other studio monitors. Ironically they are only loud on Bluetooth (?) and you can’t run your guitar through an amp sim and hear it in real time if you are on Bluetooth because there’s clearly a delay. Quite annoying to be honest.
Bass — It has it. Not going to shake your house but it’s clear and fine, imo.
Clarity — Again, fine.
Most important and annoying to me entirely; the speakers go into standby mode after not picking up signal for a while. So, say you goto play a youtube video after not playing anything for a while, the speakers have to wake themselves up before they actually play the sound and it will literally be about 6-7 seconds into a video before the sound even comes on. No way to get around this and it’s extremely annoying.
They look cool though.
First pair of monitors, very disappointing. Any of the other people saying they’re accurate reference monitors obviously don’t know anything about mixing. They’re muddy, the highs are weak, the volume is abysmal (need to be turned almost all the way up on the speakers and my scarlett interface) and the bottoms don’t even have screws for mounting. Save your money if you’re working on music.

Heavier than i thought. They are going to be my travel speakers. But they sound great for what I need to do with them. At first only one speaker was working. Once I changed the speaker wire everything was OK.
I am so happy with JBL 104. It sound awesome. I would recommend.

I originally had them hooked up to my computer, but now they are hooked up to my TV and they beat most soundbars I’ve owned!
I have had JBL speakers before, so the brand trust was already there when I purchased these. I needed a solution for surround sound as I already had a sound bar with sub, and did not want to completely replace my set up and spend large sums of money. These now act as my surround, with the main sound and base coming from the sound bar and sub. The fact that they have their own built in amp made it very easy for me to set up.
When I solely use these speakers (during testing) they were great. Crystal clear sound, the base and treble is very impressive too for such small compact speakers. My living room is not huge, so these were a perfect solution for me. Combined with my sound bar and sub, I now get amazing surround sound for the theatre experience needed. Delivery was very quick and set up is super easy.
The volume is on the quiet side, sometimes I have to crank it up. But for home recording and mixing, it works well.

These are quite simply fantastic, I bought them to run a Pioneer tuner through. The built in amplifier is sensational for its size and the tone and quality of the sound is something only much bigger monitors could manage a few years ago. Simple to set up, with ample connections. Plus, the power save feature is a real bonus so you can leave them switched on and they bounce back to life when you need them. Astounding product.
Really nice sound quality. Only thing that kept it from being a 5 star is the slight lack of heavy bass. But I mean what do you expect. They aren’t large monitors, so I already knew what I was in for. Overall great product though.

Actually my 2nd pair. Originally had these for desktop recording monitoring, which I still use.
Thought I’d see what the TV sounded like through them. Sounded great, so wanted another pair.
When I saw them now being advertised for 50 less than the other pair cost, just had to get them!

I think the reason they are now being sold at a greatly reduced price on Amazon, it that they are now being
replaced with the more expensive Bluetooth version. I don’t like the lag you get with Bluetooth, so these are great for me.
These are my very first studio reference monitors. I’m just getting into music production and I honestly like them a lot. Obviously you’ll get better mixes with higher end speakers but the price point can’t be beat. I love the features it has (bluetooth). If you need TRS cables, definitely buy some because it doesnt come with it. It just comes with the white and red one.

Long version: My testing comparison was against an Audio Pro A10 and – unfairly – my full 5.1 hifi (Onkyo receiver, Dali sensor floorstanders, etc). They destroyed the A10, literally no comparison on any measure. And in some cases they showed detail In recordings that my hifi blended out.
Obviously this set of stereo speakers is no match for the range and power of a big expensive setup (whether hifi or studio). But for this size of speaker at this price? If you have the need, they’re perfect.
They have a very good range and would work well for listening to music right up to medium sized rooms (30-40sqm) at moderate volume levels.
For monitoring they have great detail. They show up bad recordings. I noticed fairly subtle mic/setup changes mid verse in well produced songs I’ve heard many time before and never picked up on.
Unlike some detailed speakers they’re not tiring/annoying to listen to, they’re dynamic and fairly warm. Bass and mid are smooth and punchy, trebles are crisp without ever being shrill or metallic.
They’re solid, good build quality and have a clean, modern look.
This is a simple, versatile setup, plug it into whatever you want. Way better than a Bluetooth/Smart speaker that will get out dated; there’ll always be some new tech, new codec, new ai assistant. In ten years these will still plug into the latest AI device while your first gen smart speaker is deep in landfill somewhere.
Finally, these speakers could be used in any way you want. They’re not just for sound engineers. No reason they couldn’t be used in any room for music or tv or whatever. I haven’t tried them outside, they have a big sound but would probably sound a bit lost outside of a smallish patio/pool setting, so maybe don’t use them as the PA system at your wedding.
My husband was ecstatic when he plugged them up and heard the sounds. So clear and the volume was outstanding! We could hear every sound in his beats! Yes he creates beats… booming beats at that. We understood that we wouldn’t be able to here the low end, so this was just what he needed for clarity! This is definitely one of our happiest purchases thus far. We recommend these monitors because they do what you need.
These are SUCH AN UPGRADE over my old computer speakers. It sounds incredible! The one weird thing I noticed, when using the AUX input, is that it seems to take a few seconds to “warm up”. So I always need to restart whatever I’m listening to whenever it finally kicks in.
These monitors are no-nonsense. I have been using them to edit my audio books and they make it possible to hear every error, slur or click that is in the recordings. In the past, I was using relatively cheap computer speakers, and having monitors as made all the difference. The audio books I have submitted to ACX have all passed muster in part due to these JBLs.
For the price its an amazing investment. That being said there is no Low end on these but that can be a good thing. I have an older neighbor and when making music i cant blast it so make it between these and my headphones and i get great mixes. Perfect also as b monitors next to 6.5 or 8 inch woofers
Muy buena calidad, tanto en sonido como en los materiales con los que fueron hechos estos monitores.
No me gusto el knob de volumen porque no es muy preciso y me hubiese gustado que tuviesen control para la acstica.
En conclusin quede muy satisfecho con el sonido que dan los monitores, tener varias opciones para la conexin de audio me gusto y me encant el diseo de los monitores.
Bought these because JBL is a great brand and always good for sound. My first stereo system included a pair of JBL and I was not disappointed than, and they still delivery the goods as after as sound reproduce go. They a built very very well, with a great design. They are a perfect fit for desktop speakers.

Wow. These monitors are more than I expected. Very clear sound and surprized by the low end. It has the prop 67 warning from California. I emailed JBL to find out whats in it but they just gve back doule talk. I’m taking my chances for now and ventilating the room more.
These speakers are just right for my desktop video editing system. They’re 10 inches tall and 6 inches wide, with a 4.5″ low frequency transducer and a 3/4″ “tweeter”. Frequency response is 60 Hz to 20KHz. Even so, they put out clean, deep bass and the HF response is clear and crisp. I had to separate my speakers from the desk surface to eliminate some tubbiness. They’re called Reference Monitors for good reason – they’re accurate across the entire frequency spectrum. I like ’em a lot.

First 50% of the volume knob is useless. Sounds great when your seated properly between the speakers. Also a great upgrade for your flat screen even if you hide the speakers behind the screen and side fire them angled forward like I do sometimes.
The sound’s a little heavy on the low end, so the highs in your music might be muffled or masked, especially in something with a lot of instruments/vocals concurrently. The volume knob is stepped, not fluid, but there’s almost no noise in the output at max volume with computer volume at 50-60%. For under $100, it’s pretty amazing.
Bought as gift for my son, he seems to like them.

I just installed today. Extremely accurate and volume and drive is perfect.
I don’t listen to hard music much and especially not at the office but these speakers make me smile.
Caveat, I am using a USB Topping D10 digital audio converter which helps with resolution.

for me they sound ok but are a bit bassey as others have said, I have blocked the bass port off, could be where the speakers are placed

The bass, while not earth-shaking low, is tight and accurate.
Mids and highs are crisp and the soundstage is precise.
The volume control is stepped, so you don’t get precise control but it’s good enough for my purposes.
All in all an excellent set of powered speakers.
They have a good soundfield for me despite being small as said in the video.
Their cons are relatively hard to carry or move both of them together by hands and easily tumbled sometimes due to round form factor.
Sound might be better to use good cables instead of the included default.
