Couldn’t give 5 stars because I couldn’t cut through a thin piece of paper so they are not ultra sharp unless am missing out on before you use instructions but none came with it… other then that they are pretty set easy to hold and cuts well through veg and fruits

Delivered on time … and these knives exceeded my expectations. They are super sharp and I have used them to carve meat, slice bread, chop vegetables … which they did with no problems. I like the design also handle shape which fit the hand perfectly. The plastic covers are a good thing, as it keeps them separate in the cutlery drawer. Definitely recommend these bad boys.

Love these knives! They literally cut like a hot knife through butter, feel good in the hand and are easy to use. They come with plastic guards to keep the kids safe when they dive into the drawers, and to remind me I also need adult supervision.

I love these knives. I currently suffer from a frozen shoulder which effects my arms and my fingers. Was starting to have trouble chopping food. But with these knives it is like slicing through butter. I also like the marble effects. Thanks would definitely buy again.

I was forever sharpening our knives and even then they still weren’t that great so decided enough was enough it was time to buy so knives that would actually slice through everything from soft tomatos to chicken and steak.

Brilliant set. I got them so I had a decent set of k ifes for preparing the Christmas Dinner. Great edition to my kitchen only down side is they don’t come with storage, but do each have a removable gaurd
These knives were purchased for our son sometime around September, just before he left for his first year at University.
He (and apparently everyone else in his halls) has had no issues with them whatsoever. His floor (the top) has a very large kitchen area when compared to the other floors and it serves as the place to gather the whole building together.
All students who use the kitchen to prepare and cook food (rather than drink and chat) seem to prefer using these knives. With that kind of usage in mind and with him telling us that until he returned home for Christmas he has only needed to sharpen one. All the others have kept their edge without issue.
Perhaps I should have kept them here and sent him away with the set I bought for myself and his Mum.
Seriously though he’s very pleased with them. If they are having that amount of usage whilst remaining in top condition they represent even better value for money than I initially thought.
Buy some, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

There’s nothing I didn’t like about this product it met all what I expected
The knives are pretty durable and feel sturdy while managing everyday cutting. Just like mentioned in the post, they are ultra sharp and I have noticed few cuts here and there on my fingers while using them. These aren’t basic everyday knives, they are professional knives with the price of basic ones.
I love the fact that they come with protection covers for each which is necessary considering the sharpness..!!

Bought these as my other knife’s handles was coming away from the blades. These knifes are very sharp, great to hold with the handles having a rubber like feel to them even when wet it doesn’t slip easily in the hand.

Good looking knife set in coated stainless steel, this has a useful variety of knives. The knives are patterned with a marble effect coating which is very pretty. They are sharp and come with blade covers which prevent accidental cuts when handling and protect the blades from accidental damage. The knives are all very good although I personally prefer my general purpose santuko blade to have a bit more weight and heft to it. The handles are rubberised and are easy to hold even with damp hands.

Says a pretty decent set of knives. They look good and they are comfortable to use. They are quite lightweight and would be of use to someone who isn’t comfortable using heavier knives. Saying that they do a decent job and they’re pretty sharp. The selection is perfect for us and contains just the right variety. They come with covers for protection. There is no price on the product Page at the time of reviewing so it’s hard to judge value for money. However they do seem to be priced previously towards the end of the budget scale but I have to say they don’t seem especially budget in construction. If you’re looking for an entry-level set of comprehensive knives then these are one certainly to consider.

Excellent knives for a great price. They cut with ease, anything from meat to fruit to bread. No difficulties to speak of so far. Easy to use and very ergonomic. They also look great! Love the black-finished blades and dark wood handles. Matches my kitchen very well. I also love that they come with quality plastic sheathes instead of disposable cardboard ones.
They’re easy to clean and hold up well in the washer. Only complaint is that the black finishes have small scuffs after months of use. Still, I have no regrets about this purchase- especially at their affordable price!

That’s a very nice knife set. They are well made for the price, so will be handy in the kitchen without breaking the bank. For me, that’s a the types of knives we need on a day to day basis to cook. They are sharp and practical. They come with protective cases but we find these in general impractical so won’t be using them, but they can be good for safety if you have children. I recommend them.

This is an excellent set of knives especially considering the price which at the time of writing this review is well below 20.
We recently acquired a set of Japanese knives that were 10x the price, and to be totally honest, I prefer using these. They are comfortable to hold and certainly sharp enough and they also look great.
My partner prefers the Japanese knives however those scare me as they are ridiculously sharp and we have both cut ourselves more than once with them!!
I’ll stick to this set. They make easy work for me in the kitchen without the increased fear of injury!!
These are attractive with a black marbled effect. The knives are very lightweight on handling and it doesn’t seem as if they are real, if you had trouble with holding heavier knives these might be for you. They are comfortable to hold and mould to the hand well.
There is a good variety of knives here that are sharp and cut well for the price of 15.98.
Chef’s knives – are used for cutting meat, dicing vegetables, disjointing some cuts, slicing herbs, and chopping nuts.
Paring knives – also called peeling knives are very versatile, use them to peel or cut fruit and vegetables into small pieces, or to carry out other similar precision work.
A utility knife – is good for chopping smaller foods and vegetables, like shallots. It shares many of the qualities of a chef knife, but it can be a useful tool when working with smaller food items, as the utility knife allows for more precise cutting work.
A bread knife – this is a long serrated knife it is most commonly known for cutting through bread hence the name. I love this one it cleanly cut through my crusty bread without me needing to leave the bread looking like I run over it.
Santoku knives – (Santoku bocho knives) which translates as ‘three uses’, are ideal for mincing, dicing and slicing.

I am really impressed with this knife set. I never expected them to be as good. I initially chose them as a general-purpose set for the drawer, but they are superb knives and I find myself reaching for these over the more expensive set I have. The chef’s knife is a lovely knife to use, light weight and properly angled for easy chopping. The bread knife works very well, I bake most of our bread at home, so a good knife is essential. The utility knife will be the most used one, great for pealing. My partner prefers using the paring knife so we both have our favourites. Each knife has a well-fitting cover for the blade making them safe to store in a drawer. The price is seriously amazing 11.99 for all 5, I would have expected to pay more than that for just the paring knife alone.

This set of knives comes with a knife for all types of kitchen prep work, including chopping, dicing, meat and also a bread knife. The whole knife is black with an unusual marble effect on the knife. Each knife comes with a strong sheath to keep it safe in the drawer.
I also received for review another knife set which I decided to also review as it was about six times the price yet looked similar other than colour: it was red this set is black with some white marbling on the blades. (and the red set had an extra knife, a long carving knife.)
The knives went head to head in a tomato test. I made a video.
This black set performed magnificently against the red set.
The pressure needed to cut through the same tomato felt about half of the other set. I also did the finger test (don’t panic not to cut it, to cross it 90 degrees with a finger!), and this one has a bright ring whereas the red one sounded duller and felt less sharp.
I highly recommend these knives for sharpness, and will add the handles have excellent ergonomics and are chunky and comfy. Also you have knife sheaths for the drawer to save work top space which I prefer whilst still having the blades covered so no chance of cutting yourself whilst rummaging.
The set is excellent value and is just under 12 pounds at time of writing (late August 2021). Whereas the other set which was not as well made was almost 80 pounds!
I got these for camping and picnics; the sheathes are great for this as you can throw a covered knife in the picnic basket without worrying about what or who it accidentally stabs into.
I like the black blades, although the white lines to give a marble effect don’t look so good. The sheathes grip on well and completely cover the blade and point with reasonably thick plastic; I’m confident they’ll stay on even if jostled fairly heavily. They were not at all sharp when I received them, which is disappointing, but after ten minutes with a sharpener they all have a decent edge that they’re holding well.
At the current price (twelve quid) they’re fantastic value.
