Easy to assemble, has changed the way I work, no longer sat for 8 hours a day!

Up until now I’d been working on a range of home desks, all of which got wobbly over time. It’s frustrating to have a table move when you’re moving a mouse. This one is far from it, even at it’s highest position it’s still very sturdy. It is incredibly heavy for a table, which helps. I attached this to an Ikea desk top so it would go with the rest of my decor, it was very easy to put it together even if it wasn’t a ‘standard’ desk top. I also bought some Ikea cable management to mount to the back so everything comes to a single location.

Great value for money, good range of height (plenty for me), quick and smooth movement, overall a great item.

It’s quiet and efficient, I adjust it many times during the day, no problem. Wish I had bought one years ago.

Excellent purchase! Easy to assemble and quick. Components are heavy – not a complain but if your back hurts asks for help to assemble.
Once built, you’d be amaze how much time you enjoy standing and working!

Desk is easty to assemble and straight forward to set up however the control panel setting almopst needs a degree in rocket science. I had issues with the child lock function not releasing/unlocking as indicated in the instructions. Customer services for MAIDeSITe were not very helpfull to start with but eventually I got the answer to the problem and an assurance that the instruction booklet was due to be updated with the alternate ways of unlocking the child lock. Apart from that little drama, the desk is great. Once the memories are set it’s simple to operate. Make sure you adjust the pressure safety function to max (29Kgs) if you have a cluttered desk space or the desk will keep cutting out thinking it’s hit an imoveable object. I’d also recommend having the hold button to raise/lower active instead of the single touch to raise/lower function which I found to be tempramental and slightly infuriating.

Don’t know how I lived without this desk for so long. Package arrived very well packed and in perfect condition. Assembly parts come in individually labelled blister pack with the parts required for each task packaged separately. Assembly instructions were clear and it only took a few minutes to have the desk together and working. Desk is very stable and feels really solid. Whilst the frame has all of the connectors and screws for a matching top, I used the provided screws to attach to a temporary MDF top that is only about 15mm thick. The frame itself is adjustable but really solid once put together. height adjustment mechanism is smooth, quiet and quick and locks solid once stopped. The 4 height memory feature is great for various uses and is just a single press to change from one height to another.
I really recommend this desk and would say that you should buy it with confidence.

Super fast delivery, super good quality and super nice customer care. Open the box and see the warm heart greetings. Receive greeting email next day after the desk is built.
Good quality frame, accessories, label clips and tools.

Relatively straight forward to assemble following instructions provided. Finally figured what the extra screws were for as there was no mention in the booklet (not that I could find anyhow), which are to secure a non Maidesite desktop (such as my IKEA Bekant). Much more affordable offering than Ikea’s own version and with height memories and auto stop function (if something gets in the way) a lot of extra features usually found on more expensive versions, I’m delighted so far with the purchase.

The build quality and thought in the design is really good.
The legs are substantial and solid, which means they are also heavy.
This makes assembly a two person job, just be aware.

    So why 4 stars.
The desk is let down by three things.
    1. You can set a minimum height to the desk, which is great if you have draws underneath is, but if you enter reset mode the desk will go to the actual minimum height and ignore the minimum height setting, this can be disastrous.
    2. Once the desk is jammed you can’t raise it, it just stops and won’t move.
    3. The control panel is really finicky, you have to touch the buttons in the right place for the right amount of time or nothing happens, it’s an absolute pain and lets the rest of the desk down.

I hope they fix the panel issue, it has to be addressed because it makes operating the desk a chore but I would still recommend the desk.

It was a hard choice as there are so many different brands and you have no idea what to buy Initially almost ordered lighter version of the legs but then decided to take a bigger version. Happy!!!
I’ve put the desktop from IKEA’s computer table ~10kg and have no issue with the assembly.
As it’s only 3 month of use I can’t say something valuable I guess but it’s still working;)

Bought to allow working while standing, it does that job well.

I used this with the desk top from my old static desk, screws for both pre drilled (M6) and other tops (wood screw) supplied. We got some insert nuts from screw fix and used the M6 ones.

Easy to assemble and once built firm and robust.

Nice looking, easy to use controller with storage for 4 heights

Very pleased and would recommend to any one who likes a bit of simple diy

Initially I was sent a leg that was broken, but after sending some videos of the issue they replaced the part with no problems, and it’s been working fine ever since. a little loud but never used another standing desk to compare that too.

So far so good! This might be the best pandemic purchase I have made to date as working at home had left my back shot. The rising desk means that part of the day I can work standing up and then easily lower it to work sitting for a while. The instructions for assembly were fine and once I’d gotten a friend to help me it came together in an hour.
I have already recommended this desk to a few friends who like me ar still working from home.

Good product. Took a while to receive it but that’s I think the fault of Amazon rather then seller. Also upon opening it looked like some parts were used/slightly damaged during shipping (not sure which), but it was just tiny scuffs and you wouldn’t notice it at all. And lastly the plug that was given was wrong but the seller was very good in sending a replacement very fast!
For the price it’s very good value. At the top height if you’re typing on a keyboard you wouldn’t notice any swaying, only if you’re leaning on it too much then you would notice it. If you’re hesitant over buying this vs something like a Jarvis standing desk (x3 the price) pick this because it’s cheap and I think it does the job very well for what you’re paying.

I like this adjustable desk, I think it’s not too loud and it’s heavy/sturdy. Some elements didn’t fit together as they came and had to be slightly bent to fit. The programming is easy but the display doesn’t always react to touch and needs to be tapped a few times to work, which I find a bit annoying.

Actually a great desk for this price (paid 140)
For reference, I used an IKEA LAGKAPTEN tabletop 120x60cm

If you’re using a medium-sized desk this is a perfect desk base for the price, it’s sturdy enough at low and high settings (Not perfectly still, there is about a 1cm play at 113cm height, but it’s much sturdier than a regular IKEA legs desk even at that height).
Assembly is quite easy with the provided instructions.
The motor is powerful enough for a desk with 2 monitors and more.
UI on the touchscreen is intuitive and easy to use.
No reason to buy anything more expensive unless you have a larger desk.

Arrived early, was easy to assemble with great instructions. It does say 20 minutes, but once you’ve fixed it to your desktop (we used an IKEA Worktop) and sorted your cable management it’s more like an hour or so. I’d also recommend two people for flipping it over as it’s incredibly heavy.

I’m blown away at how heavy and study this is for the price, the control panel is good too and allows you to set a max and minimum height which we had to do due to the shelf above, it is a touch panel though but the pictures showed physical buttons.

It moves fairly quickly, doesn’t seem to struggle considering it’s a single motor and our desktop is heavy, and it’s more sturdy than I though at standing height.

It also comes with a load of cable management goodies which kept me entertained for longer than it should have.

    Buy one, it’s awesome!

    Great value for money!

Delivery took 7 weeks, absolutely not impressed with that, but with covid, brexit and online deliveries getting busier – I’ll deal with as I wasn’t in a rush.
Product; solid frame, easy setup, fast motor, not that loud.
From the images I thought the buttons were physical buttons but it’s actually a non responsive touch screen that auto dims when not used, i think this is better then what I wanted.
Hope the motor lasts as contacting cust service is near impossible.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI purchased just the legs from Maidesite and then the top was from a beech kitchen countertop which had a roundover routed and then oiled.

Regarding just the legs, I have been very impressed. The build quality seems very high and the finish is great. Assembly was very straight forward and took no more than an hour (including adding the table top). With the weight of the table top, 2x 27″ monitors, a laptop, 2x speakers and my general work papers etc, the desk still moves up and down effortlessly and while it does make a whiring noise it lasts for about 15 seconds while the table adjusts its height (see video). Some may find that annoying in an office but for home working it causes no issues.

Goes without saying that the cabling has to be somewhat organised as the table lifts up and down the cords do dangle and can get caught. Fixing an extension lead with the 3M industrial velcro worked very well at securing it under the table and further cable organisation was done with more sticky clips and cable ties. I’d recommend laying everything out before cable tying to save some time re routing wires.

Also included was some stick on cable clips which were very useful. I mounted a 6 port TeckNet hub so I can charge my headphones, iPad and Garmin easily at the desk using the included rubber cable tidy and also used it to power a wireless charger under the monitors so I don’t have to keep unplugging and plugging my phone in during the work day.

Great price and solid build - 5*

About an hour to assemble, – all straightforward.
Been using it for a week now, and all seems fine, – just program the upper & lower level into the controllers memory and then at the touch of a button, it automatically raises and lowers to the height you always work at.
Electric motor seems smooth & quiet, and raises the desk very quickly
Usefully, it also has a usb charging point on the side of the controller unit.

despite there being so many products on the market, I was apprehensive about purchasing this. Transpires it works a treat, very easy and quick to operate. You need to ensure the battery is flat as it contains and accelerometer and the motor stops working if not level. Overall a really good stand. Sturdy build, and my glass table sits on it a treat.

This product really helped me in the pandemic, offered me a great way to work from home and dela with my back injury.

I rely on the desk to change how i am sitting throughout the day and it’s made a major difference to my life.

I bought this piece without the desk top as I plan to make one myself, ensure yiu is a hardwood top and not a cheap version. Cannot comment on the one that ships with this product as I did not buy it.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersOrdered the 3 stage version and it arrived on time. Well packaged (although some of the packing tape had split) and bloomin heavy! All the components seem to be very well made and went together with no issues. The kit comes with all the necessary cables & screws as well as cable routing clips. Mine even came with a free gift of a set of desk-edge stick-on clips for power/usb which was a nice touch. Easy to put together although the two legs are the heaviest components, so you might need a second pair of hands to set it up. The 3 stage version can be altered to accommodate different width desk tops which was ideal for me as I have a existing 150cm wide desk I wanted to attach this mechanism to.
I was initially concerned that it might struggle to lift all my gear (2 monitors, PS4, xbox360, speakers and 2 laptops) plus the existing table. But I suspect the 80kg lift capacity is probably correct as it lifts them all with ease.
The instructions are reasonably clear and the touch control pad looks very professional with its height readout and backlit buttons.
I did initially think the control panel wasn’t working correctly as it seemed very hit and miss whether selecting a preset memory height would actually cause the table to move. However, after a bit of trial and error, I realised that you have to double-tap the memory button for it to activate (probably a safety feature to avoid the table moving if you brush the panel). I’m pretty sure the instructions don’t mention this, so something to be aware of!

In summary very please with it so far.

I love this desk, I’ve been suffering with backpain so being able to stand every now and then and continue with work is great. However, the controller is borderline non-responsive, the presets need pressing about 10-15 times before it actually moves…other than that it’s spot on!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDelivery was super quick as part of prime.

Only paid 170 as had a voucher applied to this order as a special offer.

I one of the leg received was broken, I had to send few videos to prove the item was broken. As soon as they understood the problem, they sent via DHL and new part. this cam e from China this time so took just under a week (during Easter weekend). customer service answer emails around 1am and keep emailing back at 3pm. so not sure if they have teams in china and some in UK but I was fairly pleased with the service.

I used my own table top and am really pleased with it. Plenty of cable management parts sent to keep it neat and clean. Easy to set up and use. The desk is really quiet and fast enough and really stable considering the structure.

    Well worth the price.

Sturdy and stable. Very easy to assemble. Note this item is a fixed width. I did not purchase a compatible desk top and used a table top from another item instead. Not having pre drilled holes was not a problem. The various wires for control panel and power need to be fixed to underside of desk but fixings all provided. I’m 190cm tall (6ft 3″) and the 118/119cm max height is absolutely perfect with no wobble. Really pleased with this purchase.

Very nice item…..well packaged for a change. I made my own top from MDF which after painting was a bit iffy so I bought the white 38 worktop from B & Q and had it cut to 143cm instore. I will be using the remainder for another project. Once cut it will have rough edges which I covered with a nice planed wood trim. As others have said its a touch on the noisy side compared to IKEA but to save around 170…..yes please.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNeeded a table that could be adjusted to use sitting down and standing up, this seemed ideal. Easy to assemble. The only issue is that it only comes with bolts to fit to a predrilled worktop. Given this doesn’t come with a desk top and you’re unlikely to find a worktop with predrilled holes and fixings in the correct place it should really come with self tapping screws. Fortunately this wasn’t an issue as I had self tapping screws.

Works well in a domestic setting and fits into my small room alongside other furniture fine. Flat pack construction was straightforward (and I’m not very practical!) and gives a good impression of sturdiness. The height adjustment is noisy so don’t do unless you are on mute! Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersSo, I was skeptical of purchasing this initially. At 180 (as they had a 20 promo) it seemed too good to be true, as the other most popular one on Amazon was 240 – which I was going to buy. Usually, if something is too good to be true, that’s because it is. Looked into the company, they have a YouTube channel and a good online presence, so nothing seemed off there. Well reviewed and checking the warranty, it was quite lengthy at 5 years, which usually shows the company is willing to put their money where their mouth is and have confidence that their product isn’t going to cost them in those 5 years.

I only bought the frame, and paired it with a new BEKANT top from IKEA (55, 602.531.84, lucky to find one in stock locally to collect), both in white. All in, it cost me around 250, which for a motorised memory standing desk and an IKEA desk top was incredible value. It looks really good and they compliment each other well.
I needed to pickup some washers and screws, as the desk top isn’t that thick. I used 4mm/5mm nickle washers (although nylon would have been better) with a bag of self tapping 4.8 x 16mm flange head black screws. I used the screws with a washer each for the frame, then 3-5 washers per screw for the control panel and the other mountable bits, like the cable management. Both of those I bought from Amazon as well, for all of a few quid, Connex washer kit and a bag of 100 Sealey screws. It only comes with machine screws to mount the official first party desk top, so you’ll need to purchase some of your own if you want to use a different top.

The frame came incredibly well packaged, Linus Sebastian would be proud. Super thick and foamy sponge, with cardboard reinforcements in the corners, as seen in the pictures. What isn’t pictured is that the box does come with a thick foam piece covering the top as well. The box weighs a ton, but that is to be expected. It’s mainly the legs that pile on the weight, but hey it makes the desk solid and sturdy, and the legs also appear to have an internal seal around the top to stop dirt getting in. All the parts are high quality and feel premium, nothing feels like its been cheaped out on. They have really thick rubber gaskets on all of the touch points between the frame and the desk top, which is excellent at reducing vibrations and noise between the top and the frame. The control panel uses a really nice soft silcone, with stylish buttons and a bright sharp digital figure 8 style display, it looks really professional and the buttons feel satisfying to press.

Its simple to put together with clear and well produced instructions, with their 30 minute estimate being accurate. My only gripe is the motor/frame is a bit noisy when its moving, but considering its used for only a few seconds during adjustment, its not a deal breaker. Not a grating sound, more just mechanical movement. It’s smooth and has no problem lifting a fair amount of weight (macbook, 27″ monitor, custom build pc, peripherals, cables mounted underneath, etc.). I stand 6’2″, and at 110cm its comfortable to use stood up with no wobble or frame movement (I tihnk the max is 120cm?), it feels as sturdy as when its at my sitting height of 74cm which is excellent! It only takes around 5 seconds to adjust between those two heights, which is quick.

So far, no complaints! Hoping the motor remains good and the leg mechanisms too.

    Solid frame

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this desk as the other single motor stand sit desks were out of stock at the 180 ish price point. There were no Amazon reviews when i bought this so ti was a bit of a gamble.

Box was delivered and is very heavy although box was still securely wrapped etc it had clearly had a bit of a journey to get to me. Inside though the items are well packaged and wraped.

I bought this as the frame only without a top and i can say that the frame is reassuringly heavy and well painted in the white colour i selected. Looks class. It was easy to bolt together and instructions were good which makes a nice change. There was only one bit i struggled with which was the bar for the motor threading through from the opposite leg but i did a quick google of the MAIDESITe and in you tube you can find a video showing the build for a single motor desk that quickly confirmed the obvious.

Other plus points each of the two legs has 2 rubber feet which can be adjusted to resolve uneven flooring issues. Product comes with a few cable tidy self adhesive loops. Unit is not too noisy when raising or lowering and has a programmable memory (3 options you can select) but you can easily raise or lower it to whatever height you want within the range. Central support bar under the desk also has a couple of welded bars to ensure desktop stability. I have a 2 screen VESA arm clamped at centre rear of desk and whole unit is very stable, i also have a pivot arm mounted light on the side of desktop, again very stable.

This desk is really good and feels as good as anything i have worked on in commercial offices. Dont be put off by the lack of reviews. If the motor lasts as long as the warranty (think it is 5 yrs frame and 2 yrs motor) then its a bargain. Especially as we go in to Lockdown number 2..!

Tips: for a desk top i bought a cheap IKEA one at 120cm wide but you could easily use ply sheeting from your local timber merchant

    Cheers.

    Seriously good desk

Bought the frame and made a top myself out of solid oak. Has come out looking great and at a fraction of a price of a similar electric desk. Had some trouble with impact detection but this resolved once I attached the cabling to the desk top underside.
