Very happy with how quick and easy it was to process, had the code instantly and it’s downloading perfectly fine as of now. Super excited to play with my family ^^
Got this as I was curious about how the difference between Mario Kart for Wii and iOS and the game has some improvements that I didn’t see on different platform versions.
As a player of Mario Kart for years, I love the characters, unlockable cars, motorcycle and gliders as you play the courses and earn different trophies or collect certain amounts of coins.
It’s definitely worth a buy, but I was a little disappointed that some of my favourite courses from previous games didn’t make it.
This game is great. The only other Mario Kart I had played before this was the original SNES version, and it was already a fun game. This is much, much better, with loads more circuits and options. I particularly like the “legacy” circuits from older versions of Mario Kart and completely different games, such as F-Zero and even Excitebike! Not to miss.
I had no problems at all downloading and installing mario kart!
This game is amazing! You can have multiple players on one system, you can take it portably and race against your friends on the go! Friendly competition everywhere you go!
It’s a fun racing game that’s good for both experienced and inexperienced players. Although sometimes it can feel unfair if you’re winning and you get it with a blue shell. But still it’s good fun.
Excellent value for money, even at 42. The game was first released in 2014, and is still going strong. A must buy for multiplayer, parties, and online play. Single player for practice when you need it the most. Everyone should own this one in their game collection.
Usual quality expected from Mario Kart.
The kids and adults love this game.
Such nostalgia with being able to play old tracks with new graphics.
This is probably the best game i have bought for the Switch.
Good old style gaming where you gain upgrades by playing and earning points.
The first of the Nintendo Switch’s ports from the Wii U, this version of Mario Kart 8 adds even more content to an already packed game. The addition of single joycon play and up to 4 players on one switch in tabletop mode really can’t be understated with just how cool it is to be able to set up a game almost anywhere. The performance is great too, handheld mode is an amazing thing to see on the Switch’s top quality and colorful screen, and even in docked mode, the performance keeps up, only dropping to 30 frames once you add more players.
Definitely recommended for those who missed out on the Wii U version, and for fans of Mario Kart and fun kart racers overall!
I’ve been there since day 1 snes and one thing you can always guarantee…The level of quality in MK titles pushes the envelope again and again. Sublime fun/10
As a WiiU owner, my first reaction to a repackage of the excellent MarioKart 8 was that NIntendo were shamelessly cashing in. Indeed, someone who’s spent over 200+ hours completing every cup and spent money on the excellent DLC (and really, it is so so good) may feel a little shortchanged by a full price release that only adds in a decent battle mode.
That is, until you realise that most people never actually played it. As much as I personally loved the WiiU, the public on the whole didn’t get it as a console and just said no thanks and moved to the Xbox 360.
In short, if you are own a switch and didn’t have a WiiU – Mario Kart 8 is an essential a purchase as Breath of the Wild. If you are a dyed in the wool Nintendo-person, tread carefully and know what to expect – Fresh meat online.
I already owned the game (and its DLC) on the Wii U, however, as it’s the greatest Mario Kart of all time it seemed silly not to pick it up on the Switch.
It’s not just the same game as before. The visuals are sharper, and the frame rate is better (see my screenshot). The controllers work well with the game, even in tabletop mode where two players each have 1 joycon.
The best thing about this version is the updated online modes and battle options. The online battle games are probably the most fun thing about it now. If you have a switch but don’t have this game, then you’re missing out.

Really good game and good for kids trying to get to grips with the remote control
its pretty cool yk controls are easy, and having all the maps/character unlocked is awesome
Had this for 3 years now and still play on it most days. So much fun especially online although I don’t seem to be getting any better!
I got it as a gift, but from the feedback I’ve received. It’s great!!

Love it! Good old fashioned family fun with modern graphics! Would definitely recommend!

Card delivered in excellent time value for money would highly recommend

Product was downloadable instantly which was nice but for the price I feel the game lacks that last star of quality / depth
Since downloading this game I can’t stop playing up on it wow
The game is brilliant, great fun to play alone or with family and friends
Epic game. What more can I say? Best online multiplayer experience I’ve ever had.
Fantastic game, one of the best Mario kart they’ve made. Tad bit overpriced for a re release.
Not worth the money but it’s one of the only good one game on the switch
Super fun, for all ages, now the only issue is trying to beat your kids on this game
Great game and no issues with the download or produc

It’s a brilliant game, even if you played on Wii U this version is even better including slightly better graphics, battle mode and all the DLCs.

Great game, can get a bit boring if you’re playing single player only.
