I have owned two of these efiles in 4 years and both have broken with the same wire fault! Absolutely shocking customer service, would never use the company again, I am also a professional nail technician for reference so says a lot about this.
I used this Nail Drill only 8 times and on the 8th time it broke while doing a clients nails! This drill was so good when it was working but for some reason it’s just randomly stopped as if a wire has come loose or something? I would still recommend this drill to everyone as it was so good when it was working and I think I may just have a faulty one sadly, will try to contact seller to find out what’s happened!

I use this as a professional nail technician working 1-2 days a week. I have been using this product for 2 months now to make sure my review is accurate! It is perfect investment and good quality product, obviously I am speaking as a part time tech so couldn’t comment on longevity based on full time hours. I previously had the lower model Melodysusie drill and this one made such a difference! The vibration is significantly reduced meaning it is much more comfortable for tech and clients and results are much smoother with little heat build up. Very impressed and would absolutely buy again.

Amazing little thing! Before this I was using one of those cheap grey drills that cost around 19 thinking it couldn’t make much of a difference. It does. It’s nice and compact and looks lovely on my desk, and has now cut my soak off times down to around 20-30 minutes whereas they used to take me upwards of an hour. It’s easy to control, quiet and barely any vibration. I’m so happy I went with this one.
When I set to 5000 as it was my first time to removing gel nails off it was perfect speed. I’m happy in 5 minutes or less I took off all my gel nails. Obviously you have to be very carful using this tool.
This is a really good e-file not really for beginners unless u have had proper training. Efficient, well made and I think Melodie Susie have the best customer service I’ve ever had from a company!
It works fine, run smoothly, easy to use. However it looks cheap and flimsy, the drill bits material look cheap too. Lucky that I got my ceramic set, so don’t need to use those bits. Don’t know how long it will lats, but quite surprised about its lightweight and small size.
I already posted review on another product which I used with this to treat my nail fungus I have been dealing with for about 12 years.
I only used the biggest roll with those roll files (I use them only once because of the nail condition) and it works great.
Runs quietly, is EXTREMELY efficient usually used only at maximum of 10000 RPM but makes a quick work of filing the nails down instead of those pre-packed medical tiny files which are too small and cannot be used usually on the whole nail as it can be bend, close to skin etc.
Absolutely great. Had no problems with setting everything up the first time, really really handy. If you are a guy like me this might help you (and you lady might use it as well if she wants (mine does not)).
Pink colour is more a peachy pink than a true pink. Smaller than I thought it would be which is fine but just thought it would be big and bulky!

There’s nothing about this nail drill that you shouldn’t like. It’s more than easy to use, however please turn the drill down to 0RPM or off before changing the rotation direction.

Small but powerful. I’ve had it for 3 months now and with every use I love it. It can rotate incredibly fast but going about 10 isn’t necessary for acrylics.

I loved this drill, it has helped me out very well since November 2020 when I brought it. It has helped me so much. It took a few days to get used to it but over all a brillant machine. However, the reason I am doing a review is that I loved this nail machine. But the past few times I have used it the sound of the machine has change, it has became really loud and I have no idea why. The way it works has also became less smooth. It is such a shame it’s not working as well anymore and I’m very disappointed as it probably the best electric nail file I have used or acrylic nails.
This drill is lightweight, easy to assemble and use. If I had the choice I would purchase it all over again. Literally salon quality at an affordable price!! Cannot fault it!

I previously bought a cheaper pen-style drill which worked fine until it didn’t – bad connection in the wire – so upgraded to the MelodySusie Scarlet nail drill and wish I’d bought it in the first place! Excellent controllability and quiet and I love the curly cord which means it doesn’t twist and break. The foot pedal is also really useful for hands-free operation. With the ‘cup’ in the centre and place to store drill bits, this is a great design and worth every penny! Thank you!
First impression – Comparison to the Urawa up200 nail file machine, this little machine is pretty decent, very lightweight, compact, and low noise. I am yet to use it long term on clients, the up200 has many faults with the handpiece , the price to replace is ridiculous. As it’s too early to say anything more about the product I’ll will come back to give updates,

Iam a professional Nail Technician in London for years. During 3rd lockdown i had been thinking i should spend time at home to create some new nails design ( just to kill my time) . Just ordered a drill machine. I didnt expect that i could find a good one on Amazon ( as i hv never used any machine under 300 in my salon)
All i expected was something that work ok just to remove gel colour on the fake tip.
However this machine done the job more than i had hope. It worked really good even with acrylic or hard gel, strong motor, no viberation even fast speed.
I would recommend this for shellac mani pedi, or medium and not to thick nails extention. For mobile nails technician used, or even for the salon used in London where you dont have mainly nails extentions client, or to trainning staff.
In overall, it worth for the price.

I up-graded from a cheapo drill I first bought right after Lockdown 2020. This time I did all the research, read all the reviews and by this time I knew what I needed. So glad I did buy a better nail drill……makes life so much easier. Don’t get me wrong you still need to practise…..makes perfect! But I’m sure I will get it down pat in time. This is a good drill…..

Very pleased with the drill! I did a bit of YT review research and came across this drill. Seen a reviews here too and decided to give it a go, worst comes worst I can always return it. Used today for the first time after having a great build up of all sort of on my nails haha. Lockdown got me, so been doing my nails at home but my previous drill gave up within first few minutes of the first use! Unfortunately I’ve digged that one after like 2 years (unused) from under ‘inch of dust’ so no way to return. Like I said having no drill and being sceptical at first to buy another one, my nails had layers of gel, acrylic powder, polish, whatever really, being using just a hand nail file to file it down, which took ages as you can imagine so always left it much thicker than I would do having a proper drill. Again this drill called Scarlet gone thru everything with me today with no shame! Very pleased with the purchase, the head or pen or however you wish to call it is made by metal, which I found very important compare some on the market made by cheap plastics. It’s quiet for a drill, doesn’t jump out of my hand even on the highest speed it’s very stabile and easy to manage. I am kind of beginner, but quick learner, I like to craft or do the things for myself based on watching tons of YT videos (microblading brows,tattoos on skin, bleaching hair etc..), and at least for me this drill was sooooo easy to use with a lil general YT el.drill education Highly recommend !!! Hopefully this drill will last me a while since I am super happy and it’s a real game changer for making nails at home

I tried few other brands before i got this one. The time will tell how sturdy this is, but so far so good. I like that this drill handle doesn’t vibrate, and in order to insert the drill bit you need to turn the handle top to open up a connector, then to turn it anti clock wise to fixate the drill bit, which is much safer way to fixate a drill bit rather than just stick it in (as it may be needed in some other brands). It has a speed indicator which not every drill has, it is compact and has special holes for the drill bits which makes it more comfortable to work with. The only thing i didn’t quite like is that the reverse button is at the back of the drill, however, this is easy to get used to. I definitely recommend this drill.
Nice product and not flimsy. good variable speed which you slowly turn up rather than having set speeds. Easy to change the files. The files that came with it are fine though I did by more. unfortunately mine stopped working after a couple of months very light use (I only use it on myself) but the customer service was excellent and sent a new one the same day.

Yet another purchase for my wife after much searching on Youtube etc The drill is quiet and powerful and the doughnut like shape is very handy for holding the drill while not in use. There are holes to put your bits into which helps to keep your workspace tidy

The scarlet melody susie drill appears to be working very well so far, very smooth and plenty of power. When mine arrived the foot pedal didn’t operate so i got in touch with the company and they were very fast at replying to me and after i sent them a video to show it wasn’t working they quickly sent me a replacement.
I love the drill my only reason for marking down slightly is that the hand piece is quite heavy. But everything else is super! I love that the unit is not only a place i can store drill bits but also has a rest for the hand piece.

First of all the delivery of this drill was absolutely fantastic! I ordered it on Saturday and it arrived at lunch time the next day…on a Sunday!! As for the drill itself: the body is so small (about the size of a large mug) that it will easily work for someone who has a small work space. It might be small but it’s definitely powerful but it also starts off nice and slow so you can still use it for natural nails. The hand piece just fits perfectly in your hand, it’s not too heavy or too light. The only teeny, tiny criticism I could possibly think of is that the forward and reverse button is on the back.
I honestly LOVE this drill and I would highly recommend it to any nail tech or novice.
I have been spending a lot of time researching what product to purchase. After watching a product review online, I thought I’d give it a go. I’m glad I did as this is just what I wanted. I am by no means a nail technician. This is compact and quiet and does the job. I do have to have the rpm quite high with the nail bits provided. If you are a do it yourselfer, then this is for you.

I bought this as a present for my partner as she told me she was wanting to do nails.
Turns out it is a pretty meaty bit of equipment. So, If you want something to get the job done then it’s great.
If you want something to do your own nails once a months probably a bit hardcore….
