It is rather heavy, suction is strong and manouverability is good
To register the guarantee call Miele direct and they will register it for the two year guarantee. The serial number is underneath on a label above the bar code

Suction is brilliant which was key in my purchase decision. The motor is quiet. The cord retraction is simple, fast and efficient, 1 press , no need to hold down and the cord is retracted! Ergonomic handle and using the pole it’s easy to hoover under the bed etc. it’s clearly a sturdy product, although just a bit heavy that’s the only down point but it’s well made. The bag less compartment is easy to remove and empty.

A welcome improvement on other designs, especially the noisy Dysons. This product is very efficient, has a good-sized dust collector (so it doesn’t have the environmental impact of bagged cleaners), and it is surprisingly quiet. So quiet that our dog is OK being in the same room.

This is a brilliant vacuum. Very well built, remarkably quiet but powerful. Easy to empty the fairly small container. Only downside is that it is a bit heavy and not that easy to use on long flights of stairs. Overall best cleaner we have ever owned.

I’ve always owned the best cat and dog Hoover’s money can buy basically because I’m house proud .
I had Meile years back , when it came to buying a new Hoover I went with the best Dyson then Shark . Now back with this beauty and will be sticking to it .. No question about the standard of quality .. the excellent Hoover does everything they say . My carpets like new again . It’s so easy to use , empty and keep clean.
Its strong suction and extra Turbo head leaves your carpets looking brand new.
Some people will find it’s too hard using it at full power because of the suction , in the case just turn the suction down until it suits your needs .
I highly recommend this Hoover to anyone , well worth the money

Hands down the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. After having to purchase one every 1.5-2 years I decided to invest in something that will last. I am certain that this Miele vacuum will! Power is fantastic, it is quite bulky but very easy to move around, assemble and break down. It is quite intelligent too – has self-clean function!

IT is really good at catching fine hairs and dust. Nice and quiet as well. Maybe the controls and instructions could be simpler to understand but all in all, I can see why it is voted number 1

Excellent quality as expected for Miele. Suction and cleaning power first class. Great for people with pets. Delighted with it it is well worth the cost and would highly recommend it.

Incredibly strong suction picked up all the cat hairs buried into the carpet – truly amazing, very quiet motor, very well built. It is very heavy but that is a price worth paying

Good, quiet vacuum cleaner, however the manufacturer went over the top with suction. We all complain about poor suction vacuum cleaners, so the Germans gave us SUCTION!
I use the minimum suction setting and the thing feels sticky on carpet, with brushes retracted. Just doesn’t glide on carpets. I’m hoping the suction will ease up a little as it gets older.

Overall this is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It is powerful, reasonably quiet and does its job really well. Just a couple of niggles – firstly the dusting brush has been attached to the connector hose. You pull it down as and when you want to use it. My previous Miele had a separate dusting brush which was really useful for zapping the spiders webs, dusting the curtain poles and all those high up jobs. Without the ability to attach it to the end of the extension pole, you can’t reach that high. I retrieved the brush off my old Miele cat and dog before it went to the tip so I am using that. The other issue is that the latch for the dust box is a bit pathetic and twice already I have pulled the box out to empty it and the catch has flipped open depositing everything that you have just picked up all over the place!. You have to check that the catch is well and truly closed tight when you replace the box after emptying. But, as I said, this is an excellent vacuum and these niggles shouldn’t put you off buying it. It really is so much better than the Dyson equivalent and a lot less money.

We bought this product when our previous cleaner, a shark vacuum, became faulty and the customer service from them was dreadful. We decided to push the boat out and go for a high-quality cleaner this time, in the hope that it would last for years. This cleaner was delivered promptly and on opening it we immediately saw what a huge step up in quality it represented. Every component was well finished and durable.

The unit itself is reasonably heavy but is very manoeuverable.

The two heads make cleaning on either hard floors or carpet extremely easy. Our stairs have never been so clean and we have two dogs that like to shed! The reach and ability to stand upright while cleaning has protected our backs and overall we really cannot fault this Hoover at all. Storage is simple and it takes up very little space.

I’m happy with this vaccum, it’s powerful and easy to handle. It has a long cable which made easy to move around without unplugging. Also, emptying dust from the box process is flowless. Perfect vaccum Perfect House.

What can I say it’s a ‘Miele’ product best manufacture ever, top quality German engineered you can’t go wrong with 2 years warranty and last 10 years plus, I opted for a power coded because the battery versions don’t last a long if your using for your car or a lot of big thick carpets, the price says it all you get what you pay for quality

This vacuum cleaner is a dream that comes true for all of you those who have not been able to cope with pet hairs all over their carpets, beds and furniture. It does exactly what it says in the description. Lifts absolutely all hairs, even the tiny ones, from your carpets and rugs. Has a small tool to use on fabrics and bedding. I even use it for my duvet and sheets where the dogs jump and shed like there’s no tomorrow. It is bagless which means you’ll save and an auto-cleaning mechanism so no need to clean it filters.
I am going to buy another one of these to have in my holiday home. I have saved a lot on lint rollers since I bought it and vacuuming the carpets has never been such fun. 5 stars!

I realised that I wanted the Miele when I realised that I want the wand to be as light as possible. A canister-style vacuum such as this one offers you that. You do have to pull or push the canister around (possibly using your foot), but it’s not really a problem. Also, the hose is quite long, so you don’t have to move the canister after every stroke of the wand.

Miele also manufacture a version that has an electrically powered brush. They call the Electro+. However, it’s not available in the United Kingdom. Since I live in the UK, I was initially a little miffed that I could not buy this one. However, the turbo brush that they sell is plenty. In fact, it has too much suction for me. I have to turn the power level down a couple of notches in order to avoid the head being sucked onto my carpet.

I am amazed, and satisfied, at how much dust has come out of my carpet.

This vacuum cleaner doesn’t have as many features as others at the same price point, but it is a truly solid workhorse. It feels as though it will last me 10 years. It was the right choice for me.

I had a dyson cordless and was getting tired of “range anxiety ” and a choice clean the floors or clean the car and wait 3 hrs in between, I looked at price and went ooooooh then realised my dyson was more
I’m impressed only had it less than 24 hrs but I’ve cleaned everything and run out of things to clean I noticed this morning that the “dust level ” on some of my furniture was non existent compared to when I used dyson
Dirt wants to be sucked up on full power it’s sucked up before head is there
Only negative I do have is the brush that you use to get cob webs is attached to handle so unless you 6’8″ and want to carry hoover up a ladder it’s not easy yes it has a nozzle to attach but it left a small mark on my pure white wall but I can solve this I suppose by buying a nozzle I need , I read reviews and videos from here to John Lewis to ao.com and more no where was it less than 4.5* and only negative seemed to be a personal issue like was to heavy or minor problem , it not light but it not heavy either, very manoeuvrable , love the self clean bit
    Overall outstanding

I was looking to replace a Bosch hoover that the builder damaged. It was 2400 W so had very powerful suction. Over the years I bought several hoovers including an expensive Dyson but they all went to the tip as the suction didn’t come close to the Bosch which the EU made illegal. The Miele is expensive but the suction is fantastic. Its not light but still mauoeuverable. It is very well made. Only had it 3 months but can’t fault it so far. Please note as the suction is powerful you need a Miele with a turbo brush of some type to do carpets.

I have 6 dogs that shed everywhere and yet I still thought I’d buy a velvet sofa. The dyson couldn’t lift the hair. The shark did nothing and after having to resort to using a sticky roller, rubber gloves and tweezers I ordered this magnificent beast!! It’s more powerful than the dyson and shark put together and so much quieter AND it lifts every single dog hair off EVERYTHING! Comes with two heads one for hard floors one for carpet as long as you use the right one it’s magic.
Who knew you could get so excited over a vacuum

My very old Miele Cat/Dog vacuum packed up. I had been pleased with it so I decided to replace it with another Miele. I am so glad I did. The new one is much quieter. I have stone floors, wooden floors and some rugs. It slides around easily on the hard floors and the suction is excellent. It doesn’t work quite as well on rugs and mats – the suction has to be turned right down or it sucks up the whole mat. I don’t know what it would be like on carpet. Although it is quite big it is possible to vacuum the stairs.

Well done to a fine piece of kit that does what it says. I brought the bagless version. Little heavy, but it stands upon the stairs, so you don’t have to carry it, and the long lead is excellent. If I was going to criticise anything, they gave an extra attachment, but there is nowhere on the machine to store it. So I need to carry it around if I need to hoover the blinds, but that’s not difficult. The Dyson was a lot heavier and never had great suction, even when it was new!!! Never buying a Dyson again. I rarely give reviews, but this hoover makes my life easier for clean rugs, blinds, skirting boards etc. Well done to a fine piece of kit that does what it says it can do!!!

It’s a little heavy to carry but that is literally its only flaw after years of dysons I brought this after using my moms bagged version I didn’t think there would be much difference between the to by you can literally see everything it picks up and it’s so easy to keep clean best vacuum I’ve ever owned it’s amazing on all floor types we have stone wood and carpet and this is definitely a vacuum that can do it all with ease it’s also great in blinds is you set it to lower setting!

Hands down this is the best vacuum cleaner I’ve ever used! I’ve used Dyson in the past but this blows my last Dyson Animal out of the water. The suction is incredible and the amount of dirt it’s sucked out of my carpet is embarrassing!

I did watch various videos and read all the reviews before I purchased. This model seems to be the same spec as the white lotus version ‘total solution’ Miele, but if you buy this version via Amazon you can pay in five interest free instalments. The glossy black is pretty smart too. I would also highly recommend you buy this version or the white ‘Total Solution’ version as they both come with the turbo-brush attachment which you will need to make vacuuming carpets a breeze as it has the roller brush. Honestly wish I’d bought this years ago instead of spending so much money on Dysons which don’t last and aren’t as powerful.

The suction on this thing is incredible although the noise isn’t that loud. It’s not light, but probably no heavier than other similar sized cylinder vacuums and for the most part you won’t need to carry it as it’s on wheels, it’s just stairs where you might need to. I can reach half way up my stairs just with the main pipe and half way down. You can tell it’s superb quality, it feels solid, and it’s German made, which gives me confidence, plus Miele is known to be a high quality brand.

The vacuum is super easy to put together and very easy to empty, (unlike the Dyson whose clips can be fiddly) with a clear instruction booklet. It’s also bagless and fascinating to see what you collect in the container. It uses a single cyclone system which seems to be far more effective than Dyson’s multi cyclone system (there’s videos online demonstrating this). It has a great self clean mode to regularly clean out the dust filter too and keep the suction strong-every so often you’re meant to take that part out and give it a rinse.

I’m super happy with this amazing quality vacuum cleaner and highly recommend it.

Blows other vacuum cleaners out of the wate

Sounds funny I know, but I was struggling to replace my Philips vacuum that served me for more than a decade. Eventually, the time has come, and following a research, I decided to purchase this one.

It is an absolutely great vacuum. Versatile and easy to maneuver.
It works like magic on cat hair and is quiet.
Added benefit that there is no bag to buy for it again because I can easily empty it.

So far, I am loving it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAfter using the same vacuum for 20 years I finally had to get a new one. The Miele Blizzard CX1 could not have been a better choice. It is bag-less, with a quick detach waste bin. A must these days with most vacuums. However, unlike dysons and similar models this doesn’t have a roller head. Instead it has an insane level of suction and hard plastic teeth at the front and a deployable set at the back, for hard surfaces.

This system is best used by pulling instead of back and fore, like most; as the teeth at front drag everything out of the carpet as you pull. Pushing it really doesn’t work.

It’s by far the best vacuum cleaner I’ve used.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAmaaaaaazing vacuum cleaner. I have a combo floor apartment where the bedrooms are carpeted and the hallways, kitchen and dining room are laminate. Also have 2 cats who shed every single day, regardless of brushes.

Vacuum comes with 2 heads – the standard one and the special spinner one for getting fur and hair out of carpets. I used a Henry vacuum cleaner before, and it was utter garbage. The vacuum head would just push pieces around and you’d have to lift to suck the pieces up.

With the Miele, none of that happens. It sucks everything up nicely, it runs smoothly over the laminate floors and while carpets require a little more effort. But if you switch over to the spinning brush head, vacuuming carpets is a breeze, even on the highest suction setting.

Vacuum picks up a lot of fur that’s invisible to the naked eye, which is great. Emptying the canister is a breeze as well. Only 2 annoying things – some of the fur/dust combo gets stuck in the canister in one of the filters and you have to stick a hand in there to get most of it out, and drying the canister after rinsing takes a while due to all the nooks and crannies. You can put it back without letting it fully dry, but the water droplets will stay and combine with the dust bunnies next time you vacuum.

It’s also not as light as I would like, but honestly it’s not a big deal. I’m only annoyed right now because I’m 8 months pregnant and bending down to pick it up is embarrassingly laborious.

Other great nifty features that I love are the one button power cord retraction and the upholstery attachment. Upholstery attachment is just so useful for vacuuming the couch as my cats love to sleep on it. Also great for vacuuming cloth computer chairs. And the power cord retraction is super nice because I’ve always hated winding the cord up neatly myself.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had a dyson vaccum for 11 years and I was really pleased with it. When it broke I wanted to replace it with something as good or better then dyson. I read about miele cx1 a lot of great reviews and decided to give it a go. First thing I noticed is how quiet it is and at the same time very powerful and the air in the room was so clean! So far I tried it on carpets and wooden floor and it’s just brilliant. Worth every penny.
The downside so far is cleaning it’s power head from hair. You need tools to dismantle to clean it properly. And if you don’t, you need to try by cutting it along with scissors and pulling it out which is not very convenient and easy. But so fat that’s the only thing I found that could have been designed my Miele a lot easier to deal with.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is my third Miele vacuum cleaner over a number of years. I honestly think it’s the best one for getting hair out of carpets. I briefly tried another well known brand which was an upright cleaner and found it too heavy and cumbersome, so I reverted back to the Miele cat & dog.

This model now being bagless is even better. One small thing I would change is extracting hair from the hoover head rollers – this is not so easy and could be improved.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersAfter having Dysons for the last ten years, cordless and big ball, after buying the cordless a new battery and spending more time cleaning the hoover than the floor……
I bought the blizzard cat and dog after seeing 5* reviews.
Likes are very long cord so I can plug in the kitchen and reach most of the floors downstairs. Ease of attachment changes and their use. The carpet one just glides over effortlessly, I was fairly disgusted how much dirt was hiding in my rug. The hard floor tool is the same, I put the brush heads down and it glides over getting loose dog hairs up and trapping them in the cleaner.
The suction regulator is just right too, easy to understand and does make a difference when cleaning the barrier mats in the hall and kitchen without lifting them off the floor.
Emptying is very easy and so far, the dirt has gone right in the bin without me having to help it along.
Its light enough for me to pick up and station it into different rooms.
It’s very quiet compared to my Dyson.
My only slight niggle is the small brush that is built into the handle. I’ve only managed to actually get that moved once. I dare say it would get easier in time but I find it hard to use and I’ll purchase a separate one.
