Got this for my granddaughter she as dyslexia using this as made things better for her and its given her more confidence
I bought this for my brother who has anxiety when concentrating. He loves it as it keeps his attention span in-line when studying. He said it’s easy to use, accurate and very practical. I was sceptical but he demoed it to me and I got to hand it to you. We have come a long way with OCR.. well done let’s see what new products you guys develop
Fiddly to set up and need to be very precise when scanning
I got this to mainly help my daughter with her foreign language homework as I never took the languages she is currently studying.
It has been a huge help with this although it is not always as accurate as I would like I believe this is actually just down to translating languages anyway. (If you use google like I normally do it does get confused too)
I like that you can speak in English and get the voice to repeat it back to you in your chosen language or Vice versa.
I did struggle a bit to begin with as I am left handed and the pen will only work going right to left and at a certain angle but I did get the hand of it in the end.
Overall I think this pen will really help my daughter and myself with the secondary homework
I really like the speed and accuracy of the OCR and translation from this pen. It takes about 20 seconds to boot up but once up and running it reads the lines almost instantly, with only a small delay to allow you to scan multiple lines if required. I have included a video showing it in the OCR function to demonstrate the speed and accuracy. For some of the features like translation you need a WiFi connection but this is easy enough to set up and doesn’t seem to slow down the device any. I am off to Italy next year so have been using this to translate practice phrases and it does an excellent job and will certainly get some use over there.
Voice recording is of good quality and I would say that the translation accuracy is good enough. Not perfect by any stretch but the transcript is certainly good enough to work from and compile some very accurate minutes of a meeting.
The computer connection is quick and the device shows as an SD card which allows you to download the transcripts saved on the device.
On to the areas which are less good. The manual is not the easiest to read. Partly due to the small text used but also due to the powerful and complicated functions available on the device only being covered in a sentence or two. Secondly I am disappointed that it is so reliant on the touch screen for use – one of the uses for this could be for a sight impaired person where a touch screen is not the most practical interface.
Overall though I must say that I am impressed with this device. It is quick and easy enough to use and contains a really good set of tools to help with productivity at home or in the office. Recommended.
This pen has helped my daughter massively! She absolutely loves it. It has given her a lot of confidence, she used to fear school work/homework but now she uses her pen to access her learning. She even uses it to read work from a screen! She also uses it at nighttime to read her favourite books. It feels like a whole new world has been opened up.
The problem I have is with the sound recorder. I had hoped to be able to use this device during meetings but it struggles with regional accents. I’m from North East England and regularly hold meeting in the West Midlands – I tried out this recorder during our last meeting. As a recorder – the sound quality it very good and it performed well, capturing all of the voices when left in the middle of the desk.
The weakness is in its ability to translate the recording into English text – it struggled with the regional dialects. The words it did well on were those commonly used, when deviating away from the Queen’s English, you do end up with some very strange text.
As a device for translation, whether written or spoken this is extremely useful. You simply swipe the pen over text on a document and it translates instantly. The surprising thing is its ability to read even quite artistic fonts, flawlessly and can be used either online or offline.
Connected to a smartphone it can translate text to speech, or save text for use later. The visual touch screen interface allows the user to easily select a variety of modes and languages.
As a device for travelling it has a multitude of uses and is highly recommended.
An essential part of any students kit. Helps you scan and highlight important notes. Stores on the pen for transferring to a file or work note later. Sits nicely in the hand. The translation option is very good too. Well worth the money.
Text Translation: Overall I found the scanning and OCR feature to be very accurate. The best part is that it not only scans the paper but can also scan the text on my monitor therefore I just opened the PDF and it read it. Just select the reading/scanning language and the translation language and then scan. My initial struggle was how to select the language which I found out after a while as the user manual is not too user friendly. Overall this device covers most of the major languages.
For other users’ help, to select a language you just need to swipe from right to left after you are in the Text translation option and the option will appear.
Phonetic Translation: This is another useful feature where the scanner after listing will translate it into your selected language. I found the translation to be of a satisfactory level however there were instances where you have to try it multiple times. Also, the key point to remember you need to have an internet connection in order to use this feature.
Scanning dictionary: this feature is similar to text translation and allow you to scan the text and it will translate in my selected language
Recorder: quite interestingly it will record as well as provide a transcript of the recording. The accuracy of the transcript was reasonable however it allows edit options to manually adjust. Once I will go back to the office this will be quite helpful for me to record any technical meetings for future references.
MP3: This allows to replay the audio recordings saved in the scanner

I strongly recommend the user manual can be improved as currently, it does not provide any guidance on how to use each feature in the pen. Especially on how to select language etc.
The software update option should be improved as I found it to be very slow to download but the key annoying issue is that it stops after downloading a max of 10% of the download so I had to go back and restart the download multiple times. This took a lot of my time for a simple process to complete
Overall a multitasking device which due to user manual limitations took me some time to use but the features it includes are good.
Highly recommended but no hedphone jack, Bluetooth headphones can be used but it is hard to connect. The process for the reading is slow but the rest is verry good.

As a frequent traveller I always suffer with reading menus in restaurants or communicating with non-English speaking people.
The scanner works very well, the only downside is that you need wifi to use all features.
It scans fast and correct, you just need to do it with steady hand.
The speaker is loud and clear.
It has various functions which can help in many scenarios, but ill use it mostly when travel.
Overall easy to use product, accurate and helpful
I would recommend it as an investment if you’re learning a language or like to travel a lot!
