This pop up tent is so simple to put up it’s become my go to when camping. It’s big enough for two adults to sleep comfortably inside. It’s waterproof which is great with uncertain weather conditions. Taking it down is as easy as putting it up. We love it.
This pop up tent is great. It is nice and compact so it does not take a lot of room when packing it in the car. It is lightweight and easy to carry. I like how the carrying bag it comes in has back pack straps. The tent sets up very quickly. Just open it up and you are pretty much done. You just have to secure the tent down with the stakes. I would advise to get better stakes since this tent does come with the basic flimsy thin metal stakes that most tents come with. Folding the tent back up is a bit of a task but once you get used to it, it is no problem. For being so compact when folded, I was surprised on how roomy the interior is. Of course the tent is low and you cannot fully stand in it as a grown adult, but the tent still provides a good amount of room even for four people. The only time I have used the tent is in good weather so if we are ever using this tent in rain I will update this review.
So I wasn’t expecting much, but I ended up liking this tent more and more. It’s a simple design and definitely made for those who don’t need anything fancy.
After taking it out the pouch, it almost opened right up without me even trying. Taking off the included strap that keeps it closed made the tent pop right open and all I needed to do was lift off one piece to let it full expand.
Don’t make the mistake and think that’s all you need to do. I learned this the hard way. I only pegged down the base to the ground and that night I was in for a big surprise. The wind picked up and rain set it.
Waterproof? YES! i was completely dry during a thunderstorm. My only problem was the fact that I did not peg down the sides of the tent. The wind folded down the top of the tent while I was inside. I stayed dry, but it went flat down like a pancake and I could feel every drop of rain as it fell on the tent. That morning, the first thing I did was tie down the sides and pegged it to be sure that wouldn’t happen again.
It’s also worth mentioning that after the rain passed, the wind died down to 0 knots. Mosquitos set in, but again, this tent kept them out. Absolutely no mosquitos penetrated the net and that makes this a win for me too.
I will probably get a few more just because this tent is only good for two people. 4 people? If you plan on having anything else inside other than a bed, forget about it.
I DO recommend this product.
This is the fastest setup tent I have ever owned. It does have good size, 4 people would fit, but with not much room. This would be best used in dry conditions. While it may or may not be waterproof, it would get uncomfortable in it quickly as there is no rain fly to provide any ventilation. The floor is also the same material as the rest of the tent, so that may not do well in wet conditions. The floor is also a real durability concern for that reason. The windows are adequate, though again, can’t be used in wet conditions. The doors are decent and potentially could be used in wet conditions with some treating poles or sticks. The bag has straps like a cheap backpack, but the tent is wide and will get caught on things if you try to carry it that way. Fortunately, it is very light, so carrying it is not an issue. The material and construction seem decent, though I wish the floor were made of better material. I would use this tent for serious camping, but for a short trip, day at the beach or something like that, it would be good. I am pretty happy with it and think it is a fair deal at the price offered.
2023-09-07. Pop-up tent by Night Cat. 2-4 person. 3 second instant tent. Porch. Foldable. Blue/Grey.
This tent is great for the day tripper going to the beach or park. It literally does pop open and full set up of porch and staking into the ground is less than 3 minutes. Take down is also a breeze, but there is a little bit of a learning curve to it. If you owned a packable tent before, then it’s a breeze. If this is your first, just think twisting to make an “8”.
The inside capacity is as advertised and does fit a queen sized inflatable mattress. But if you’re going to take this camping, you will want to get a footprint for it (A footprint is essentially a piece of tarp that matches the outline of the bottom of the tent (i.e. a footprint) that is moisture impermeable) as the entire tent is made up of the same nylon fabric. While it’s advertised as being waterproof, it’s not moisture proof and overnight stays will result in dew permeating though. My kids found this out the hard way when they camped out in the backyard. Unfortunately I was not able to confirm whether or not the tent is truly waterproof or not as we didn’t get any rain during testing.
Overall, I really like the tent, but then again I don’t ever plan on using it for overnight camping. Great for day trips which is exactly what I plan to use it for. I agree 100% with the design and not moisture proofing the bottom of this tent as the tarpaulin bottom will add considerable weight to the tent and stiffen it as well making it more difficult to pack. But they should have included a separate piece cut perfectly to size with grommets that you could stake down together. You can easily make your own moisture proof footprint, but you shouldn’t have to… When I ordered this tent mid-July, it retailed for $110 (which I would say is over-priced,) but currently (at the time of this posting) it’s retailing for $88 which is more reasonable, but even at this lower price, I’d have expected a footprint…
Looking for a hassle-free camping experience? Look no further than the Night Cat Upgraded Pop up Tent. This tent is designed to make your camping adventures a breeze with its easy setup and compact size.
Setting up the tent is a cinch – simply throw it to the ground and spread the pole, and it will pop open in just 3 seconds. Folding it back is just as easy, resembling the shape of a number “8” and repeating the process twice. If you need visual guidance, there’s an instructional video to assist you.
One standout feature of this tent is its compactness. Unlike traditional popup tents that fold in three circles, the Night Cat Upgraded Pop up Tent folds in four circles, resulting in a package that is 40% smaller. With a weight of only 3kg and a package size of 28x28x2.8in, it’s incredibly convenient to carry. The hand strap and two back straps make transportation a breeze.
Despite its small size when packed, the interior of the tent is surprisingly spacious. With an inner size of 9.5×6.6×4 ft, it comfortably accommodates 2-4 persons, making it ideal for a small family or a group of friends. You can even fit a queen size air mattress or Night Cat double sleeping air pads inside. There’s plenty of room to store your camping gear as well.
Ventilation is key in any tent, and the Night Cat Upgraded Pop up Tent delivers. It features two big doors and two wide windows that allow for excellent airflow, ensuring a cool and comfortable camping experience. The doors can also be set up with your trekking poles or outdoor sticks to create a front porch, offering some shade while you relax in front of the tent.
When it comes to protection from the elements, this tent has you covered. It’s made from waterproof 190T Polyester Taffeta with a PU coating of 2000mm. Every seam is reinforced with waterproof tape to keep the inside dry, even in heavy rain or storms. The tent is also windproof, thanks to its 6mm stretched poles, pegs, and guylines.
In terms of value for its price, the Night Cat Upgraded Pop up Tent delivers. It offers convenience, durability, and ample space, all at an affordable price point. Compared to similar products on the market, this tent stands out with its compact design and easy setup.
While the Night Cat Upgraded Pop up Tent is impressive overall, there are a couple of minor issues worth mentioning. The tent can be a bit tricky to fold back up correctly at first, but with practice, it becomes easier. Additionally, some users have reported that the zippers can be a little stiff initially, but they loosen up over time.
Personally, this tent has greatly improved my camping routine. Setting it up is a breeze, and I love how compact and lightweight it is when packed. The spacious interior provides ample room for my family, and the ventilation keeps us comfortable even on hot summer nights. The added porch feature is a nice touch as well.
In conclusion, the Night Cat Upgraded Pop up Tent is a reliable and convenient camping companion. With its easy setup, compact size, and excellent ventilation, it offers a hassle-free camping experience. Despite a few minor issues, its overall performance and value make it a worthy investment for outdoor enthusiasts.
Nice tent and very lightweight. Perfect for camping, hiking or to the beach. Room for two people but probably not much more gear unless your up on cots and can shove stuff underneath. You have entrances at both ends which is a nice feature and two large side windows. Zippers all worked well but these are the fine tooth nylon zippers so I would handle them carefully and open and close slowly. You can catch a breeze coming from any direction.
This tent went up very quickly. When you release the band be ready for it to open itself up very quickly. I actually threw it on the deck it popped open so fast. Going back into its original position and back in the bag was a different story. It took me all of ten minutes probably more to get it done and I read the directions several times. I’m sure there is a knack to it and I will figure it out after a few times. The stakes are pretty light weight I would recommend buying some of the longer plastic tent stakes that are more robust. We had a fairly strong breeze and it would pull the stakes out of the ground.
Overall this is a pretty nice nice tent and our five year old grandson will be using it up at the cabin the rest of the summer. At the price point of $109.99 this tent is a good value.
This is a very cool tent, very easy to set up and take down. It is not very tall and doesn’t have much to it but is perfect for 2 people. I have an twin air mattress and a pad in it and there is very little walking space. The entry door has a space for poles but it does not come with it. There a screen doors/panels but the cover is loose. It is perfect for taking on a hiking where you will spend the night since it is compact and light weight. Giving 4 starts because of being disappointed that the poles didn’t come with it and looks so nice in the photo. All other aspects are good
Arrived well packaged no problems there.
Great tent, it does just easily self pop up and for folding down(there is a photograph diagram for that), it’s alot bigger than expected, on the listing it said 2 person tent this is easily more of a 3-4 adults tent, you get the pegs and string with it and a carry case too, great tent thank you
I’ve had a Night Cat tent before and was really pleased with it. This Night Cat pop-up tent is also a very decent product. Getting the tent up is easy as can be, you throw it into the air and it will pop open. Some say that getting it back into the bag is much harder… but I’ve had quite a few pup-up tents before and once you know what you are doing, they are actually all the same. So for me it was pretty easy to get it back into the bag. I haven’t really camped out in the rain in this tent so can’t comment on that, but this tent seems pretty decent for sure.
This is a good little solution for camping if you need set up quickly, it is lightweight and easy to carry with all of the other camping equipment. It provides flat storage which is much better for the car or shed.
It is a pop up tent so really easy to set up, it does come with pegs but I would recommend using stronger ones if you know its going to be a little windy. It is a little harder to pack away than it says but practice definitely makes better. The zips are easy to use and are smooth.
I would say it is a good size for around 2 people, any more than that and it will be a tight fit.
This is a great, super fast and easy tent to set up! It takes literally 1 minutes from bag to standing. Perfect size for me and two kids with plenty of room for sleeping and our bags.
The break down was a little bit tricky, but once I figured it out its was quick and easy. The quality of the tent is great. The zippers are very smooth and dont seem to snag at all.
Overall, great product. Easy to fold, easy to deploy. Lots of room and made with quality material and care. Would highly recommend this tent.
This pop up tent is so easy to put up, it took no time at all and done so with ease. It can hold 2-3 people comfortably and you can tell that it’s great quality as it doesn’t feel flimsy or cheaply made.
I like that it can be neatly stored so it doesn’t take up much space at all when folded down. As usual when you get it out of the packaging it’s a lot neater than when you put it up and fold it down yourself but that was expected to be honest.
Really pleased with the quality of this, it may seem a bit on the pricey side but actually given the ease, how lightweight it is, the size I think it’s reasonably priced. Great for camping trips, festivals or even a windy day at the beach.
Good strong tent. Withstood 25mph gusty wind and heavy rain when tested in outer hebrides. Very east to set up, easy to pack away when you’re used to it. Zips and seams good quality. Storage bag good.
Last time I set up a tent (and with help) was over 7yrs ago. I honestly thought I was going to get stuck.
This is so easy to set up/unpop, even for dummies like myself.
Does need to be weighted down some way, especially with windy days. Ours blew away twice
Waterproof, good sized and light weight.
The little bag is super convenient for storage
Took a few tries to get used to flat packing it again, but it’s easy enough.
Easy to wipe clean any stains/food.
Would recommend for easy camping, it’s a great size for two average adults or kids.
This tent fits 3-4 people and is excellent value. It comes in a neat bag so doesn’t take up too much space in the car, and the package is definitely smaller than other tents. It is easy to put up, simply just take out of the bag and allow to expand. Put everything into position. It is great quality and feels well made. Getting it back into the bag can take a couple of people but take down is nearly as easy as putting it up. Can’t wait to take it on more adventures.
I am a Scout Leader and we go camping a lot! My wife and I only have a large tent for family holidays so I ordered this one for when I go to Scout Camps so I’m not putting up the big one:
– The tent arrived folded in its bag with the door poles, pegs, guide ropes, and an OK set of instructions.
– It’s easy to erect, just take the strap off and let it pop up. Just hold onto it if windy…
– It’s quite spacious for a 2-man tent! It even fit my kingsize airbed in!
– Material is of a good quality as well as the stitching so should hold up in windy and/or weather.
– I like the doors on either end, it allows for a cool through breeze in the hotter months and a sneaky
“loo” door at the back if you need to sneak out for a wee.
– There’s not much of a porch so not great in rain, but just be quick getting in and out.
– It’s easy enough to pack away. The instructions are a tad confusing at first but otherwise ok.
Yeah I like it! I’ll have to see how it stands the test of time but so far so good!
This tent is a fantastic investment for anyone who loves camping or outdoor adventures.
One of the standout features of the Night Cat Pop Up Tent is how easy it is to set up. With its automatic mechanism, this tent can be set up within seconds, making it perfect for those who want to spend more time exploring and less time struggling with tent poles and instructions. The tent is also spacious, comfortably accommodating two to three people, making it a great choice for couples or small families.
The tent is designed with high-quality waterproof material that ensures the interior stays dry, even in rainy weather. This makes it an ideal choice for camping trips in unpredictable weather conditions. The tent also has a dome shape, which enhances its stability in windy conditions.
The Night Cat Pop Up Tent also comes with a variety of useful features, including a built-in mesh window that allows for ventilation while keeping bugs out, and a small hook inside the tent that can be used to hang a lantern or other gear. The tent is also very lightweight and easy to pack away, making it an excellent option for car camping or backpacking trips.
I ordered this tent for the kids this summer.
It’s ideal and simple to use and will be great fun while being safe and comfortable.
It pops up and so it’s incredibly convenient. No banging in pegs and trying to put up complicated lines in the rain. This tent is ready for use instantly.
It goes down just as fast and can be folded like a number 8. It’s stows to an easily manageable small size that’s simple to carry.
Once home from a holiday or trip I usually give it a hose clean and let it dry completely in the sun and then it’s good to put away.
The zips, fibre glass poles for the fantastic porch and waterproof fabric are all high quality and in my opinion very well made.
There’s thoughtfully placed hooks and overall it’s a really considered design with great features.
I particularly like the mesh windows which give good ventilation and light but keep the bugs out as I’m not their biggest fan!
We have a decent sized double air mattress that easily fits inside.
This tent would work well for a couple of adults and probably an additional small child without any problems.
I would definitely recommend this tent.
I hope you find my review helpful.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this pop up tent but I was left pleasantly surprised.
I would suggest watching the video on Amazon product page which is very informative.
The tent pops up incredibly easy and you simply need to peg it in and tie the ropes. It’s a spacious inside for two people so you could probably squeeze another person in.
I’ve owned several tents over the years but I have to admit, this was the easiest one I’ve ever put up.
Now, folding the tent back up was another issue. It took three tries and not to mention three of us, to get the tent down. Hopefully, with some practice the process will get easier, quicker, and hopefully only take one of us to accomplish it.
This is good quality tent. It’s easy to put up, waterproof with nice double layer door for easy access – can simply walk into the tent instead of climbing in. The mesh doors and windows does a great job at keeping the bugs out too.
Overall, I would consider this tent to very spacious and of great quality. It’s compact and easy to carry, as it comes in a handy storage bag with straps – so you can easily hang it on your back like a rucksack. It’s lightweight and great for those who want to travel light.
I would definitely recommend it!
Lightweight, veeeery easy to assemble and move around, great product for occasional – light camping
Usata per andare via in moto. Molto compatta e leggera.
I was hesitant at first due to it being quite cheap but I took this tent camping in Scotland for 9 days & it was fantastic. Super easy to put up, I was always the first one sitting down and relaxing out of my mates and I.
Enough room for 1 person, probably not 2 unless you cuddle up super close. I had space for a normal mat + sleeping bag, with my hiking backpack & other bits to the side, you wouldn’t have been able to fit much more in. I’m 6 foot tall & had enough room.
On one of the nights we had some really heavy rain (almost storm-like) and I was very nervous but not a single drop of water came through, very impressed.
Couple of nice little touches on there like the loop to hang lantern inside (watch your head when you sit up!) and being able to peg the door open whilst keeping the bugs out too.
Tent is surprisingly light & I had it strapped to the bottom of my hiking backpack along with everything else.
One of the main downsides and the reason for 4 star instead of 5 was that one of the guy ropes popped off randomly, likely poor stitching. They did offer to replace it but it wasn’t worth the agg when I can just stitch it back on and seal it myself.
The pegs are quite cheap and flimsy and did bend a few going into tough ground so I’d recommend grabbing some heavy duty ones.
So yeah, I’m not really someone that writes many reviews but feel like this tent deserved it and hopefully reassures people that may be hesitant like I was! Definitely recommend.
Tenda leggera e conveniente.
Ninguna pega.
buy until the price is low, has good vent system, spacious
Small and lightweight and easy to install. Inner lining to tent opening is meshed for ventilation but there was no separate skin to be able to zip over this to stop drafts coming straight in. Otherwise a great te
Excellent. Used for grandchild while staying with us on a caravan trip. We had a heavy thunderstorm one night with torrential rain. No complaints. No leaks. Grandchild set it up and also packed away.
Just back from a weekend of wild camping with this little beauty and it was put to the test with 12 hours of non-stop heavy rain! It didn’t leak although the sides felt as though they had a layer of condensation/moisture when I went to bed after the rainy day. Bedding and everything on the floor stayed dry though and there were no leaks. Packs up small, 10 mins to put up and take down on my own, light to carry (straps onto bottom of backpack), room for a single mattress with space along the side for storage. Could fit 2 people at a squeeze but no room for anything else! Small enough to fit under a tree for extra protection (as in pics) but plenty of room for 1!
My son used it for going to a festival was very easy to pop up . Would use agai
Went up in 5 minutes. Room to sit up in. Plenty of pace. I wasn’t walking but used it for ten days. It kept out the rain and showed no sign of falling down.
Used it for storage on camping trips and was ideal. Havent tried it for sleeping yet but would certainly fit in a bike pannier so will use it for touring.
First impressions are good.
This is a light tent in a small package but surprisingmy roomy once erected.
Pros;
Size means that it will sleep 2 and leave enough room for kit.
The door pegs out from the tent giving better ventilation.
The tall design of the tent means that you can change clothing without touching the sides of the tent and getting wet.
Hook at the apex for a lantern.
Cons;
Small, almost effective tent pegs. I advise the purchase of spares.
At the time of writing this review I have not yet camped in the tent, I purchased after hiking with my son and finding his tent to be just alittle too small and low for comfort. Therefore I have not tested it in the rain and do not know how it so handle compensation from 2 people.
I will update once I have given this tent a full test drive.
Nachtrag :
Habe umsonst Ersatz bekommen.
Danke fr den guten Service.

I bought this on sale, and def think it’s worth the full price. I slept in it for three separate camping trips and for two of those it rained (hard) and I stayed completely dry! One night was really hot outside and but I stayed cool! It’s not a high-tech double walled tent, but for the single wall, waterproof features it feels high-tech. The design is simple but smart. With a ceiling hook for a light and a pocket hanging from the wall for storage. It’s big enough for one adult or two children comfortably. The zippers are high-quality witch makes a huge difference! Easy to set up and takedown, a child could do it. The instructions are simple and clear. Just remember to secure the top rod first and take down the top rod first! This will keep your rods from bending.
Good tent, perfect for festivals because its steep sides mean you can sit in it in a circle with your mates. Great customer service, got an instant full refund after it broke so a safe purchase.
Used this tent to camp at the Belgium Grand Prix in Spa-Francorchamps (August 2021).
The inside of the tent stayed completely dry throughout terrible weather conditions – pretty much constant rain for 3 days and decent strength wind.
Very quick to assemble as well so overall very happy with the tent. Only complaint is that the pegs aren’t that strong and bend fairly easily compared to other pegs I have used in the past.
Good value for the money. You are not buying a four season artic tent. I used mine on the Isle of Arran in August. It experienced strong wind and some rain. it was more than adequate. The only observation is that if the wind is blowing hard on to the back side of the tent, the tent wall will billow inwards. This can be a bit disconcerting but the tent didn’t move. I did replace the short flimsy tent pegs with more substantial ones. Overall good buy if you are using in reasonable conditions, or in a sheltered spot.
I was so impressed I’m 6’3 and had loads of room easy to put up best buy I’ve had for ages.
Fantastic 1.5 person tent. Extra roomy and yet packs down as small as any tent. Easy to build with good sturdy poles.
Enchante de mon achat
Ne prend pas de place
Facile monter et dmonter
Et surtout impermable
Elle a vraiment fait son boulo
Positiv: kleines Packma, relativ schnell aufgebaut.
Very easy to assemble, very sturdy, went camping for 2 nights in the Lake District with less than ideal weather and stayed dry and warm during the nights so all in all does it’s job. Says one man tent but you can get two sleeping bags in if you must haha
After reading other reviews on this and watching a youtube girl review it i decided to buy one. Yes really easy to put up infact it was up in about 7 minutes which was not bad for the first time i thought. Not tried it in wet weather yet but i have to say so far i’m impressed. Oh it’s fairly lightweight as well.
Sadly I didn’t check the tent until the day before my son needed to use it. It arrived without poles or pegs
Company weren’t able to send replacement poles but did give a full refund enabling me to source a replacement tent.
Super little tent so easy to assemble and looks grea
Seriously good, won’t last for a lifetime! Easy to put up – 15mins if you have put tents up before. Big enough for two as ling as you are sharing with someone you like touching – perfect for one, feels like a secure little cave! Get one
Leicht, klein verpackt, schnell aufgebaut, gerumig, knnten auch zur Not 2 drin schlafen – perfekt!!
Great tent for the price , small but roomy and had a great camp ou
Light weight and easy to assemble. need to be a little patient packing away as it takes time to remove any trapped air. Otherwise great!
Great budget tent. I used it on a 3 day bike trek and it attached easily under my handle bars. Easy to put up and take down in under 10mins. I would pick this for other short camping or festival needs. I have a couple of 2 second tents and even though they go up quick, they take ages to put back in the bag. This is easier.
I have bought one or two cheaper priced tents, much to my regret, and wanted a simple one for the beach. More of a store for bags and a windbreak than a tent. So I bought purely on price and not features. It’s absolutely excellent and I would happily use this overnight. It is a genuine camping tent so don’t be fooled by the price. Quality is excellent and while it is not as fast as a pop up tent, there is a reason for that, it is better made and sturdier. Would highly recommend.
Quality amazing tent cheap and easy setup just about Quality produc
Genial
This is a fab tent. It’s so small and light it’s great for carrying if you need to hike/walk and carry your gear.
It’s super quick and easy to put up and take down.
I have used in cool, breezy and fairly wet conditions and it kept me nice and dry.
Not over roomy, there’s just about enough room for 1 person and a bag. But perfectly great for a Duke of Edinburgh type expedition.
High quality tent. Arrived on time. Good service. Although its 1 man person tent, but my 2 daughters slept comfortably. Highly recommended.
Brilliant tent, perfect for 1-2 people. Very spacious and easy to pitch
I like this tent very much. It’s very spacious for 1 person and even fits two people. The ceiling is very high, I can sit straight up and still not able to touch the ceiling. Highly recommend for people who are backpacking or doing bicycle tours. Only downside is that it’s not that water resistant. So better to set up the tent under a roof if it’s raining.
I have not put it up yet but it looks very neat and tidy
Lieferung top. Einfacher Aufbau.
This 1 man tent is excellent condition for its price! I got it as a camp tent for the garden for my son during lockdown and he’s kept it filled with blankets, books and toys. Nothing has got wet being left over night in the rain!
When we go camping we will definitely be using this for its intended use.
Bought this for my son to do weekend at home camp for cubs. Fantastic lightweight. Very happy with product. Highly recommend
I just had the chance to test this a couple of times, brilliant piece of kit and the customer support is very attentive to all your needs.
I decided to give this tent a second chance. First one was a disaster. Got full refund and a new tent!. This time how ever was absolutely fantastic tent came through storm very heavy rain. Was bone dry me and my dog all night. Nice and roomy too. OUTSTANDING tent. 10/10
Updated review. This is a nice size tent, feels rather thin but is is single layer so that’s probably why. One of the poles was damaged. The seller has been in touch and been very helpful, a replacement tent is due to be sent as compensation. Much appreciated
UPDATE 20/5/20
After speaking with the seller, all I can say is their customer service is outstanding. After seeing the issue they have sent me out a new tent no strings attached (I wasn’t asked to remove my original review or update it). I would 100% buy from them again as even if there is an issue it will be sorted quickly. My new tent is perfect.
ORIGINAL REVIEW 10/5/20.
Looks like a good tent but ours has a manufacturing defect. One of the diaganol sleeves has been attached upside down so the roof can’t be fixed down in this corner. Ok for my purposes as I don’t intend to use it in bad weather but if you’re camping in the elements watch out.
*****update*****
Super impressed with the seller. He has gone above and beyond to put this right for us. We now have a great tent that my son is delighted with
Hello, we got this as a Christmas present for our son. Do you know if the parts should be like this? See pic. I would have thought they would be attached with the elastic?
Brilliant little tent and surprisingly roomy. Fitted 2 people and a double air bed + all the bedding. I wouldn’t want to spend a week in it or take camping as the main tent, but as an add-on, overnight sleep or spare room while camping it’s perfect. The seams are all good and there wasn’t any weak points in the joins. When it was tested we didn’t get any rain so stuck the garden sprinkler on it and not a leak or drip anywhere. It’s even been put up in the living when my nephew came over to give him a bit of privacy while he was sleeping and he was pretty impressed with it. All round you can’t go wrong and festivals, camping it’s perfect. I would definitely buy this again.
Extremely light, compact and easy to carry in its own little carry case. Found it incredibly easy to set up with the spring loaded frame and although it’s listed as a one-man tent, it was big enough for my partner and I to both sleep in together. Well constructed with zips that open both sides and the mesh ‘windows’ that let in light and ventilation but stop insects getting in. Decently waterproof so far but wouldn’t expect it to necessarily withstand storm conditions. A very good buy
This review is of the Night Cat 1-person tent (non pop up variety).
You get a small and lightweight tent suitable for camping solo or two children sharing in mild weather conditions. With no tough ground sheet or separated inner/outer tent and flimsy tent pegs, this tent is not designed for the rough outdoors but is ideal for casual camping.
It was reasonably easy to put up, taking around 15 minutes on first attempt. The poles can be little tricky to get in but do go in with some perseverance – easier with two people.
The mesh vented doorway and roof keeps the air flowing.
I’d have little confidence in this tent surviving any rough weather – winds or strong downpours, but for casual use it does the trick.
So far I have only erected it in the garden for a test (single person version) in fairly windy condition.
I just followed the paper instruction leaflet (which I would have laminated) and other than you need quite a lot of room to feed the rods through it all went well (it only blew away once while I was getting the tent pegs).
It comes with nine basic bent metal tent pegs and I would bin them and get real tent pegs and perhaps a mallet.
The tent has four tent peg fixing points at the ends of the two carbon fibre poles and four orange strings to four more anchor points (I was not sure from which loops on the tent body these were supposed to go and the instructions could have been clearer).
Zips all work and it survives a rain storm but have yet failed to get it all back in the bag. I will try again when the weather is better.
It is long enough for me to lay in with ease (5’11”), has a hook for a light and mesh on the door and at the top.
No repair kit should it develop a hole and the base fabric is quite thin so beware where you set it up.
Looks good but the flat sides do catch the wind.
Setting up the tent didn’t seem very intuitive. If you’ve done tents before it probably comes very naturally, to be honest, the instructions weren’t great but it’s straightforward to put it together after the first time. Connect the poles, stick each end in the corners and then clip the hooks on. I would prefer automatic pop up tent.
The quality is ok, it didn’t feel like it would collapse, quite sturdy tent, it’s 1 person tent.
Dismantling the tent only took 5 minutes and packs away easily, no struggling to push into a bag. overall a great effort but don’t rely on it in heavy rain.
So far we can’t find fault with this tent at all, it’s easy to assemble, doesn’t take more than a few minuets, it seems sturdy and well made.
It was sent in the backpack individual size and whilst this is excellent for hiking and camping it’s also a fantastic way of having a lego tent in the garden, secret den, or whatever takes your fancy!
For carrying its not heavy, its definitely doable. Its compact and will fit in most average size backpacks, won’t take up too much room. The colour is dark green, nice and natural for camping in nature and nothing garish about it at all.
Is it completely waterproof? I can’t promise that, I can say it’s more than held up to a good soaking in the garden but that’s not the same as being out for days in the rain. However, I do expect it to be of good quality as everything about it so far seems to be of high quality.
As a seasoned year-round camper and bike-packer normally using well-known brands of outdoor gear, I wasn’t expecting too much from this low-price, unknown-brand tent, but I was wrong to pre-judge it because it is surprisingly good.
The tent arrives neatly packed in a 44x13cm rolled pack weighing 2.1kg and from opening the pack it took me 6 minutes to erect the tent for the first time which including tying on the guylines (the eagle-eyed may spot I haven’t done this correctly – intentional because my tent is used in an area where extended guylines will be a trip hazard). The poles took just minutes to insert then the ‘roof’ panel is clipped into place and the tent ready to use. It really couldn’t be easier to set up.
At 218cm long x 115cm wide x 120cm high it is a generous size for two adults who like to stretch out, and there is ample space to do so. I’m 5’9″/1.75m and there was space to fully stretch out my toes and extend my hands behind my head. I could also sit upright with more than enough headroom and needed to stretch out my arm to touch the top with my extended thumb. The space makes it especially comfortable for sitting, preparing food or getting dressed which can be a struggle in too many other tents and there’s a convenient hanging loop ideal for hanging a camping lamp.
Quality is good – unexpectedly good in fact and I was even more impressed to see a hydrostatic head rating of 3000 rather than just being lightly showerproof as I had anticipated. It did indeed stand up to our late-September persistent heavy showers over 6 consecutive days with rainwater beading on the roof panel and no ingress or leaks at all – I was most impressed. The seams are sealed with tape and, in typical heavy British showers, none leaked. The integrated ground sheet also stood up to wet weather and heavy showers including some torrential thundery downpours – I’ve never known any ‘budget’ tent stand up to this. I was also impressed to see how the water beaded on the roof panel and would bead similarly then run down the near-vertical side walls. The tent is well designed to ensure there are no saggy areas in which rain water can pool and instead it simply runs off.
Ventilation is also good with a large fly-screen panel to the front. The fly sheet offers the option of fitting flat against in to prevent draughts or being pulled forwards to create a larger gap and increased ventilate. A further mesh screen panel to the top is covered by the weatherproof roof panel. This is perhaps the weakness of the tent and, although the roof panel extends fully over the mesh, in especially windy (ie gales vs. breeze) weather there is the potential for rain can blow beneath and into the tent. Also, because it is single skin, users need to ensure they don’t touch the sides of the tent or rain can penetrate – which applies to all single skin tents. However, these are held taut all round with no sagging which also means there is very little flapping in strong breezes even with the tall height.
It is a surprisingly good, spacious tent ideal for 2 people camping in the British climate including in even heavy showers. In summer weather it is excellent with its large front-door ventilation and it can be used without the roof panel for additional ventilation. At 2.1kg it is on the heavier side for a backpacking or bikepacking tent but offers the benefit of full comfortable sitting height and is a roomy tent for car-campers where weight isn’t an issue.
An easy 4-star rating. If it had an inner skin it could have been 5-stars.
easy to set up, love the net to keep bugs out, 2 zip section, tent has a carry bag which it easily placed into has grab handle, has clips to tighten bag once tent is in it, has a lovely cat picture on bag & tent, tent has pegs, rope, inside pocket, top air / wind section at top. Highly recommend this for anyone going camping
This one person tent is very light and compact. It’s easy to assemble but a little trickier to take down. I find it useful for days on the beach, it can be used as a changing room and also prevents people running by and kicking sand all over you. I’m not sure it’s sturdy enough for actual camping as it seems a little flimsy for that. For days out picnicking, onthe beach, fishing , etc it’s perfect.
Avid beach goers!
Very impressed!
Excellent quality fabric!
Really simple to erect and fold back up!
I got one man tent and to be fair 2 people fit in this, not wide but good length and height!
We were expecting heavy rain today but turned out glorious, did however start to rain as we were packing up and rain ran off this!
Was little windy and this was great shelter!
Looking forward to taking this back out on our next adventure!
Thanks!
As a fair weather camper I’m needs are not for something that will withstand a force 10, but light to carry, easy to put up and down, reasonably spacious (perhaps the 1 person is a bit snug) and is reasonably weather proof.
This Night Cat 1 person tent is all of the above. Even for 1 person it is a little snug, especially when you have to stow your gear in there as well, but acceptable for a few nights.
Reasonable value for my needs.
This is a FANTASTIC tent! It folds up really small and have two clips that keep it together when folded so handy for storage or carrying.
The instructions that come with it has photo pictures, for each and every step, which meant even I could put up!! It fold back just as easily and must be the first item ever that we could get back into its original shape and size once folded!
It is waterproof, roomy and a good colour. Looks like it will last for many camping or beach trips! Priced really well in my opinion.
This is very light (less than 2 kilos) and really small (less than 45cm wide and less than 15cm high) when packed in the bag. Instructions are simple, with a few pictures and a small amount of wording for each step, but the instructions are fit for purpose and video instructions are available online if needs be. The blurb claims two minutes to erect, which I would say would be true for an expert, but for a novice like myself it took fifteen minutes on first attempt. To be fair it took 5 minutes to dismantle so two minutes may be reachable in the future.
The tent is reasonably solid when fully erected, with two external flaps and two internal at the front. There is a small storage pocket inside. The most surprising part was that after dismantling all the parts fitted easily into the storage bag. I cannot find any faults with this. It is perfect for summer camping, festivals and beach use.
It comes with very basic pictorial instructions which are adequate enough to get this tent put up but not so descriptive about the placement of the ropes which you can barely make out in the picture. Not a major issue and didn’t impede me getting it up and staking it down.
I found it little work to put up and went up very easily. It has a built-in groundsheet that I don’t think would be up to much so would recommend using a separate groundsheet/ tarpaulin as the one that comes with it is pretty thin and I could imagine it tearing quite easily.
It’s pretty windy where I am today so I am leaving it up to see how it fairs and I believe rain has been forecast. The true test of any tent is in real British weather.
It feels pretty good quality for the price and the proportions are ideal for one person. The storage pocket seems a little superfluous to me as it’s pretty small, but is okay for a phone and power bank.
Overall though I have been pleasantly impressed with the ease of getting it set up and the quality for the price. Only time will tell how it fairs with our British weather.
This is a good 1 person tent for a couple of reasons. It’s light and small (not bivvy bag size but I don’t like not having any space in tent for my stuff) and it’s only 15 minutes to set up from first use do I reckon t to 10 next time as I spent time faffing when first looking at it.
It’s got great features which are breathable roof panels with rain cover, special tri front zips which enables you to have the entire front open. Great for days where it’s a little windy and you want a little comfort when having sneak for example.
This brings me to another feature which is this is the best beach shelter I’ve had, as it’s roomy enough for three people to sit in. And as it’s light you will want to pack or bring it even abroad. I remember one time I went to Portugal, there was a horrible side wind and sand blowing around even though a nice warm day. I certainly would rather have my sandwiches without sand!!
This is a good little light. Lasted ages on batteries.
When the lantern arrived I thought it was very small but having added batteries it produced a decent amount of light especially for a small tent.
Very handy little light. Nice size and very good amount of light. Got this tent for my daughter and am very happy with it, very easy to put up and down and a really good size. Seems sturdy and stood up to everything well. Would definitely recommend this tent.
