Didn’t like that I had to order from Amazon Global and had to pay more than the going rate for Nintendo Switch Light. It usually sells lfor 199.00 in the US but the price was jacked up a few weeks before Christmas and supply was low. I only paid 45.00 over US price and it arrived quickly and safely. Bought in October for my son for xmas. Set it up a few days before xmas. Was easy to set up and download/install games. Only issue is finding where to redeem vouchers is a bit of a faff but found it eventually. Son is very happy with his.

This product is horrible for charging! We had to have the first one we ordered replaced within days because it wouldn’t charge anymore. Now, 2 months later also the replacement product stopped charging.
In the past 2 months it was on and off… only the original charger worked and only in certain sockets in the house and still then it was 50/50… hugely frustrating for the children and their parents as we endured their complaints.
Don’t buy the Switch Lite… it is a disappointment!
Just as the Nintendo Switch lite is suppose to be. The color is flawless, the system works great! My child loves her new switch. The lite is the best option for her. Light weight, smaller than the normal Switch with the same capabilities.

The switch when it released was revolutionary I think you will agree. The switch light on the other hand, not so much. I think like the 3DS this will undergo many iterations before they perfect this as pocket console. would it be so hard really to screen mirror this to a TV? could the joypads be better and the screen more manipulative. The games it does play it plays well and it is a good console but I believe it could be so much more and perhaps will be one day. it needs to feel more premium I think and more robust. That all said it is a brilliant little console and will keep anyone happy when in those moments of boredom that scream for activity. I love that they did not do away with a physical card slot, I’m sure they could of to keep the price down but I just love physical game cartridges and would of been disappointed had this been omitted. I have had the console for 6 months and I am enjoying it as are my kids but its always better to play on the larger switch even as a portable device, it is so much better.

This item came with a European charging plug only. I am highly disappointed that I purchased this item back in Oct for a Christmas present and opened it up today and no way to charge it. Do not buy this system from this seller. Nowhere did it say anything about the charging unit.

othing wrong with the product, its worth getting, i got mine just to play pokemon. normally i dont add reviews, but based on i brought this item a less than a month ago at 199 for its normal price. i want to mark Amazon as a scam, as they are showing a higher price to bring it back down to its normal pricing.
misleading pricing… the price has always been 199.99 now you have marked it up to bring it back down to the same pricing as before… misleading and goes against pricing guild lines. under the consumer watch dog, this would be opened for you to get a fine.

I usually do not play on mobile phones as the vast majority of games offered there are too shallow to keep me interested for longer than several hours.
What can I tell about Nintendo Switch Lite after nearly 1 year of use?
4 words will suffice: Best ever handheld console
Nintendo Switch Lite is a sister console to “big” Switch. The difference is clear — both in console itself and also in price. Switch Lite is a handheld only console. It does not offer an option to play on TV screen.
The console itself is slightly bigger than a 200g chocolate bar and measures approx:

Height: 3.5-3.6 inch,
Depth: 0.5 inch.
Switch Lite has a 5.5″ 720p (HD) display which is an optimal choice for this size of console and does not drain the battery instantly.

How is Switch Lite in real use?
It’s one of the best handheld consoles ever made, if not the best. Upgraded hardware allowed for new generation games being developed on it and also allowed for some spectacular conversions from other platforms (like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in example).
Switch Lite and “big” Switch share the same games catalogue and there is no difference in CPU/GPU/RAM between them. There are several exemptions, games which won’t work with Switch Lite due to handheld only built but 99% of games work with absolutely no issues.
Battery wise: Built in battery allows for 3-7 hours of play, depending on the complexity of the game of course.
Would I recommend Switch Lite?
If you are looking for hanheld console — 100% yes. Switch Lite is 30% cheaper than “big” Switch and shares the 99% of game catalogue. There is no reason to buy a big Switch then, in fact, Switch Lite offers better battery life than a “big” Switch in handheld mode
If you want to play mainly in TV mode and handheld mode is only an addition — then buy “big” Switch, but be prepared for a lot higher price to pay.
Overall score: 10/10 — for amazing gaming experience which you can take everywhere you go.

Bought it for my wife, due to her having some health issues that meant the heavier full switch was uncomfortable. It’s lightweight, so suits perfectly.
Was skeptical after issues with joy con lag on first generation Switch (neon red/blue).

As I was aware prior to my purchase but still a major design flaw — the unit does not have any sort of dock.
Furthermore the controllers don’t disengage.
The switch lite is a streamlined edition with no frills that provides reliable nonstop gaming when coupled with the additional ($50+) 256GB Sandisk Nintendo Switch Micro SD card.
Valuable tool the storage card because you can digitally purchase digital games and digital gift cards from amazon and download them to your Switch Lite.
I like the unit and am currently enjoying several games, though I am currently mostly engaged with the new Pokmon. (Fan for 22 years).
Tl;dr?
No dock, mediocre battery life under duress, really don’t like that Nintendo Switch Online is a subscription based fee.
And also, wish the supply chain worked.
I enjoy the lite more than the regular switch. The biggest con for getting a lite Ive noticed is the battery life. Not near as good.
Been using this system for a few days not and I like it, I am not a big gamer so I was not looking to spent the extra 100 for the main model. I am a youth we leader at my church though and with the covid situation I wanted a way to connect with our students. And well in that case it’s been really cool. Some things I do not like is for as far advanced as electronics have come these days I am really surprised that Nintendo did not but a mic or Bluetooth on this. That really blows my mind naturally you would want to play this online so what is the deal with that? Another thing I’ll add is if you have more patience then me don’t buy from amazon, wait till you can find it in a store. I think it cost me an extra $50 just to get it “fast” but I am an impatient American who has been spoiled with Prime. Will I turn around and sell this after we start meeting in person again? Maybe, depends on how long America sucks at this virus, by that time I think we will all be allergic to each other.
It’s much lighter than the original which is to do with its plastic body I think. The build is fantastic, even though it’s made of plastic.
I was worried the screen would be poor, however, it’s really good – even though it’s lower quality than the og switch.
It feels really good to hold and play over long periods, and you can use most switch accessories with it – you will need to buy joy cons if you want to use them.
Yeah there are a few features missing, hd rumble being one key one. Mario Odyssey relies on rumble for some parts of the game. While Nintendo has used a vibration on the screen to simulate the rumble it’s still not as effective. Get yourself some joy cons.
It’s also missing the IR blaster which some games use, and it can’t be used with the TV. But this was meant as a pure handheld console.
Overall, it’s a great little system. Just missing some handy features to save little costs. If you need it on a tv get the of switch. If you mainly okay portable, get this and use the money you save to get some joy cons.

So that happened, and I ended up buying a Lite (because the regular switch is just too hard to find now) to get some gaming time in. It feels way more durable with the embedded joy cons than the regular Switch with detatchable joy cons did when playing in portable mode (I swear I thought I was going to snap both off when playing Smash Bros on the go!). The screen is slightly smaller, and there’s no way to output to a TV, but it’s still a terrific system and a very much needed little distraction right now. Note that since it doesn’t support TV mode, there may be a few games that won’t work on it, so check which modes the game supports before buying.
Battery life isn’t the greatest – depending on the game I could get 6 hours (West of Loathing) or 2-3 (Zelda) on a single charge.
Strangely, mine came with power adapters for various countries, so perhaps it’s an international SKU? I didn’t check, but that’s my best guess.
The turquoise wasn’t my first choice in color, but since at the time Yellow was out of stock, I bought this color and now am glad I did. I think the yellow would’ve been too distracting and bright to me. The turquoise is pleasant and brings calm when I play.
Delivered earlier than expected, since it was shipped from CA and I live in NJ. Made a really good gift, brought a big smile to someone’s face and you cant beat that especially for the price. Over all I’m happy with it, everything works, nothing is broken will definitely consider buying again. Maybe one for me next time!

Knowhere in this product’s description does it tell you it’s the EU model. In fact, from the video and imagery you’re led to believe it’s the NA version. I’m not even sure if they know the risks this puts the buyer at, but here you go:
What you need to know regarding this so I can save you some research:
1. The charger is authentic and yes, if you already own several Switches like I do, you can just replace the EU charger with the American counterpart. Output in voltage is identical, it’s a USB-C…so no bad news there.
2. If you ever experience a warranty issue with your Switch, you’re going to be SOL. Nintendo only warrants for the region so… you’d literally need to send this thing to Europe. NA warranty would tell you they can’t help. That being said, as these are resales and the warranty only goes 1 year anyway, there’s a chance you may not encounter any issues here. (Cross your fingers, hard for this. I doubt the guy that robbed you the extra $130 is going to offer to help.)
3. Do not purchase download codes for games. Download codes for games are region locked…if you buy one online for a game and the seller is in NA, this isn’t going to work. If you purchase digitally on the Switch store through the console, or use game cartridges, you will be fine however.
All of that being said, aside from the inaccurate advertising and a disgusting, inflated price, it came in good condition. I’d have actually given 5 stars if they were up front and told people about these things in the description…but that’d discourage the buy, wouldn’t it? So I’m led to believe it was intentional, which is immoral, particularly when charging a premium, so this warrants consequence.
Got this during the lock down because of boredom, liking it a lot so far. The grip is comfy and easy to use. Love the colour, I also bought a case separately.
Would recommend that those that purchase this get a hard case and screen protector at the same time and be aware that the games for this can be quite expensive.
Bought for my daughter who hasn’t been off the thing since she got it. Great colour and great graphics but don’t expect to get any sense from your child for a while.

I purchased a Switch form a different retailer, which was to be released within weeks it said. Weeks passed and it still wasn’t released. On a whim, I check Amazon and saw that this Switch was available and was available for Next Day Delivery! I cancelled my other purchase straightaway and, within 12 hours, this one arrived. I am absolutely in love with it and am so, so pleased with how quickly it arrived! Thank you! High recommend this item as it cures hours of boredom, particularly during Lockdown, and has so many fun games to choose from. My personal favourite is Animal Crossing. The only downside to this item is that you can’t connect it to the tv and it’s only a one-player item but I personally think it is worth it. Will upload a photo later!
Great isolation buy. My only fault is that the battery doesnt last very long, seem to be charging it all the time and I don’t even use it often. Apart from that, it is great. Great picture quality, easy to use especially when downloading games.

I already own a PS4, so when the Nintendo switch first came out I saw no point in buying it as I didn’t need another device for my TV despite the other options it had for it. So when I heard about the lite I was intrigued and especially with the release of animal crossing.
See, when I was younger and the handheld Nintendo become the thing to own I had one, and I had animal crossing and played it for quite sometime and loved it, until I lost the game, and eventually stopped using my DS. So hearing about animal crossing and the other game options for the lite excited me.
I also currently travel a far bit, so can’t use my PS when I do, making the Nintendo the best option. I like the size, does however take a little but getting used to the controllers, otherwise it is honestly awesome. Great addition to the Nintendo Switch family.

Perfect console for kids. It has a good collection of AAA and indie kid friendly games.
The menu is really easy to navigate for children.
You can put parental locks so to speak so children cant play certain games. Also you can put a timer on the switch lite itself so you only allow an x amount of time for the child to be on it in a day. You can customise this so they can play longer on weekends for example.
The portability is fantastic, easy to use and reach each button without and restrain on your hands (so far atleast).
Although I believe the battery life is not bad, it would have been nice just for it to last for an extra hour or so, however again, this is for my daughter who is only allowed on it for so long in a day so it’s not a problem really.
The only con I really have with it is that there are no apps like netflix, like previous generations, however this is a portable gaming console so it’s not much of a con just something to bare in mind.
Honestly though if you are a parent and thinking of getting a switch lite for your child, I would definitely recommend. It is all you need and the restrictions you can set are easy to use.
Oh wow my 13 year old daughter loves this, she says it’s great, she loves Mario Kart 8, graphics are cool, it’s kept her off her phone for a while too, which is fab for me! It comes packaged well, she also purchased 3 months online gaming too which great too, there’s lots of cools things you can do with it too according to her so all in all a great purchase.
My 8 year old son saved for this and is completely over the moon. Easy to use and the parental controls means I have peace of mind.

Why did I buy the lite when I have the original? Well, 90% of the time I would play mine in handheld mode. I don’t have kids yet and only used Dock mode when playing Mario Kart with the wife or friends. Other than that, it’s train commute, flights and chilling on the sofa being lazy. The Lite is the perfect handheld mode Switch, I prefer the design, the feel and the screen. The library of games as well is excellent and I really feel like I have the first truly modern Game Boy replacement with a great selection of classic games, new indie games and AAA Nintendo originals like Breathe of the Wild.
I love playing family friendly games like Mario Kart or Monkey ball with the original in Dock mode. Then using the Lite as MY OWN dedicated space to focus on completing adventure like Links Awakening or Celeste, in my personal mind space. It stays in my bag and goes everywhere I go.
I’m removing one star from an otherwise glowing review because I think it’s a mistake to not have any TV out functionality. I understand it’s handheld only and out of the box, I don’t think it should have it. But, there should be the option to. The original Switches modular approach to every use case was perfect. 280 for a handheld and a dock when needed. The dock sells for 80-100 on its own, so in theory, if Nintendo did a normal switch without the dock, it should retail for 199. There is 50 android smartphones that have the capability to do HDMI out, so why has Nintendo removed this entirely from the Switch Lite? Have it as an optional extra. Not expecting it out of the box for 199, but let us buy a dock to turn it into the TV out mode, even if it’s a more expensive dock. Yes, I’ll have to buy a pro pad or Joycons (already have them), but give us that option. Yes, it was fine to reduce the cost but we didn’t get that saving passed onto us folks. By RRps, removing the HD Rumble, the Dock, the L and R Joycons was enough to reduce the RRP by 80. So, for this reason I am left disappointed with Nintendo’s decision. Will it sell like hot cakes? Absolutely? Am I a niche who feels this way? Very likely. But if you’re a family who want to buy this and then opt in the future for the Dock mode at a later date, you will have to buy a whole new console. Unless of course, Nintendo make a Dock mode only version that isn’t portable in anyway.

Recommend Switch (No lite version), even a little expensive, but It is good enough to be a good console.
I did’nt jump on the Switch bandwagon immediately as I decided to wait (and wait) until Nintendo released the ‘improved’ version of the Switch – finally with the lite I could wait no longer (that and Pokemon Sword/Shield are around the corner).
The Switch Lite makes an interesting appearance, I do quite like the lurid turquoise colour, its plastic construction is light but solid – it rests easily enough in two hands and the controls feel good. Sound output is quite strong (considering) but you will almost always want to use headphones from the top mounted jack (seems a strange place to put it, the bottom would make more sense). As per a lot of other reviews – no in-built blue-tooth compatibility.
Supplied with a fairly bulky USB-C charger, a typical evening of gaming (say 2 or so hours) reduces the battery down to 50% usually. Games like Super Smash Bros, Fire Emblem and Xenoblade 2 look amazing on the screen, puts down my beloved Vita, that’s for sure. (never forget the Sony memory-card gate – a superb hari-kiri ever committed by corporation). On the topside of the Switch there are slots for the Micro-SD card and game cartridges, a large memory card is a great idea (think 100gb +) if you are looking to download games, but otherwise the 32gb (or so) of inbuilt memory is plenty for a dozen game cartridges or more.
There are certainly times I wish I could dock it into the TV and see games in full screen, but the switch lite is ideal for lunch breaks, travelling and when the other half assumes direct control of the TV. Its a lovely console, sometimes its handheld limitations seem to hold it back, the tiny text for Fire Emblem, the slightly downgraded visuals in certain games and so forth – but on the whole I am really excited to explore the best the Switch has to offer!
One minor point – Nintendo games are expensive as anything, picking up four or so games will easily set you back over 160 potentially, the online shop typically adding a 10 premium to most games. Nintendo can charge what they want of course – but do bear this in mind.

The battery life has been very good so far, better than the original switch and the wireless reception seems to be improved. From what I understand the aerial has been re-positioned which has improved it.
I would say it’s not the most ergonomic product but that can be easily sorted with a protective case with rounded edges for you to grip. The most significant downside and the only reason I wouldn’t give this 5 stars is the lack of TV output. Nintendo cynically removed that capability in order to maintain sales of the original switch. It’s really unfortunate they are more concerned with profit over making the best product they can but saying that it’s still very good as a pure handheld.
I think the battery gets drained a bit quick or it could be just that times flies by , especially while playing links awakening. :).

The Switch Lite feels like a much sturdier build and much more rubbery. It has a proper D pad and the controllers are connected on the side. It has the same amount of inbuilt memory but you have the option to either create a new user or transfer your existing user. I have not used the profile sharing so cannot comment on this. You need to re-download your games or DLC for your Switch Lite plus any patches needed. If you shared DLC/games across other profiles you can only download purchases tied to that account, otherwise you need to buy it for the one you transferred.
Note: a system update is required for the transfer. After the transfer is complete all your saves carry over so you can continue where you left off.
I’ve only been able to test Super Neptunia, Smash Bros and Link’s Awakening so far but it is probably the best redesign I’ve ever seen from Nintendo. Sure you lose the TV feature but with D pad and sturdy design it is more than worth it to me. I am not going to sugar coat it though: if you play mainly on TV or use TV mode often enough this is not for you!
If you like the Vita and are looking to upgrade this is the system to go for. Upgrading from the 3DS family is rather more difficult to justify. The games on Switch are premium prices matching the prices you would pay on the HD consoles 10 years ago. You can still get 30 or 35 games (Indie games go for all kinds of prices) but these are extremely rare from Nintendo themselves.
