I am a person that fidgets. Foot constantly moving kind of thing. I also work at the kitchen table quite a bit and this fits underneath and lets me fidget (cycle) and feel like I’m actually burning some calories while on the computer.
Lightweight enough to move around. I put some nonslip “fabric” (like what you put under a rug) under a foam square (like you put under gym equipment of use to block knitting) and am not having an issue with it moving around when pedaling.
I have problems with circulation in my lower legs and thought some additional exercise would be good to help with this. When I saw this item, I ordered it without hesitation (or forethought, I guess.) First and foremost, the product is designed, looks and like performs in accordance with the seller’s claims. It was fairly easy to assemble.
Here’s my problem… I work for long hours, sitting at a desk, and thought this would be a great means to add some additional exercise into my routine. The problem is, even though my desk is a bit higher than the norm, there’s simply no room under the desk for me to use it. My knees hit against the bottom of the table, and there’s no position I can get into at my desk to make this work. I have a standing desk coming within the next week or so, but if I raise the desk height enough to be able to work the pedals, my arms will be up way too high to type.
I’ve tried using it while at the sofa or a chair in the evening, but these seats are too low, and the angle is just not right. My heels end up dragging on the rug, which doesn’t help. In fact, the only way I’ve found to use this successfully is when I’m sitting in my office chair but away from my desk. Since that rarely happens, this product will likely end up in my room of “misses.”
As I mentioned at the beginning of the review, a little forethought would have told me that there’s probably not enough room under the desk for me to use this. I’m 6′ 2″ tall and a lot of my height is in my legs. I suspect someone of less height and/or with shorter legs may be able to make this work.
Based upon my experience, my size and my office environment, I would not order this again simply because it’s not a fit for me. I’m not dismissing the product as a bad product; I just think that prospective buyers should closely consider their height and their environment before committing to a purchase.
This is not what I would say can be used under a desk. My desk is rather small, just a corner desk, and this exerciser is really heavy and a little larger than I expected, so I would have to move it back and forth constantly when I wanted to use it. That has kept me from using it as much as I expected I would as I am low on space and still need to find a good place for it. It is easy to assemble though and works well. Not sure how well it compares to others, but the little I have been able to use this one, it seems okay.
The overall quality is decent. It comes with batteries and all the tools you need to assemble, which only takes a few minutes. The bike operates smoothly and quietly. No squeaking or annoying noises, making it appropriate for an office setting. The tension adjuster has a good range from low to high, allowing for a light or heavy workout. I like the straps on the pedals, which not only keep your feet in place but are adjustable to the size of your shoes. I wear a men’s size 11.5 US and the straps fit perfectly at the largest setting.
That said, there are a few things you should know:
1) The rubber feet that attach at the ends don’t stay in place. They are too loose and move around as you operate the pedals. I had to add my own adhesive to fix this.
2) The unit is heavy but light enough to easily move around. The problem is it’s not heavy enough to stay in place when operating. I had to add weights to the front, otherwise, it just pushes away from my seat while peddling.
3) The description says you can use this under a desk. However, a standard desk is too low; you’ll just smash your knees against the bottom. You need a standing desk that can be raised to allow freedom of movement. But doing so lifts your computer monitor high up, making it uncomfortable to see the screen. Getting your chair and desk height just right is limited to the ability of the items you own. I personally find the FitDesk Standing Desk Bike (ASIN: B00GXFQRJ4) works much better at an office desk, although it’s bigger and has an uncomfortable seat.
4) As mentioned, this bike works better with nothing above. I like to use it when sitting on my couch in the evening watching shows with the family. The only problem with this is my couch isn’t high up enough to make it a perfect fit. My heels will drag against the carpet if I sit upright. But it does work when I’m more laid back with my legs forward. Not the most comfortable, but doable for a time.
### Conclusion ###
Overall, this is a good budget option for getting exercise while sitting indoors. It’s easy to transport and move around to different locations. It’s built well for the price and gets the job done but can be awkward to operate depending on your surrounding/setup.
This is a great way to get some exercise in while you’re working! It fits under the desk very well – it’s very stable on it’s feet so you don’t have to worry about it tipping over if you get some velocity going (in fact it’s on the heavy side, even) and it’s fairly easy to assemble.
There isn’t a way to check speed or cadence, but that’s ok – the bike still works well enough that it’s not a deal breaker, and this bike is quiet enough that I think that makes up for it.
I took a star off because while the bike is mostly assembled and what isn’t is fairly easy to put together, the pedals are a real challenge to put on. One of them kept falling off too until finally I glued it in the shaft out of frustration. It might be something that’s particular to the bike I received, but wanted to point it out anyway in case someone else had this problem.
Overall, I would recommend this – it’s a nice way to keep the blood flowing during the work day and it doesn’t take up too much room where you could still be comfortable at your desk.
This works perfectly for my needs. I work from home and spend endless hours in front of my computer screen. I bought a sit/stand desk, but sometimes I get sick of standing and just want to sit. However, I still want to keep my body moving. This under desk bike peddler is perfect! I don’t care about tracking speed, distance, or timing. I just wanted something to keep me moving throughout the day. I love how quiet it is! Literally, no noise from it at all. Now I just need to figure out how to keep my rolling desk chair from sliding backwards on me while I use it lol.
This mini exerciser is wonderful. I have been working from home for 2 years and many days I realize I haven’t moved from my desk in hours. I wanted to try this bike becauseI could put under my desk and pedal while working. Anything to get more activity.
It was relatively easy to assemble but a helping hand is needed to put on the first legs. All the tools are supplied. The display is popped open to insert a AAA battery. Be careful because it doesn’t come completely off and can be accidentally pulled off. There is a built in handle for lifting and at 19lbs is somewhat heavy but that also provides stability.
It fit well under my desk. The hardest part was finding the right location so my knees didn’t hit. With such varied leg lengths and desk heights, this will be the biggest challenge for most people.
The bike is as quiet as a whisper. This surprised me the most. I was sure it would make some revolution type sound but nothing. I am so impressed with the mechanics of this machine. There are 8 levels of intensity. I found that the dial was a little hard to turn . The pedals have a strap that can adjusted.
The display can be activated by pressing the yellow button. It will keep track of time, distance, speed, odometer, and calories if desired. After 4 minutes of inaction, the display goes off. I personally don’t use it but nice to have.
Overall I am really enjoying this bike. I use for pedaling while working, sitting on the sofa, and sometimes on the table for my arms. It is smooth and quiet with a stable base.
The exercise bike arrives unassembled. It comes with the parts and tool needed to put it together. The instructions are pictures with a minimal words. You need to add the stabilizer bars (to the front and back) as well add the peddles. You need to install the battery as well. There are straps on the peddles. You turn the dial on the front to adjust the intensity of your workout. This is a heavy bike (twenty-six pounds). I had to get someone to get it in the house for me. I do wish the pedals were a little bigger (wider and longer). It is quiet (a plus). It has a digital display where you can go through the different options (calories burned, distance traveled, time spent, and your average speed). You can pedal away while at your desk or while watching television (or listening to an audiobook or music). The suction cups are not the best (to keep bike in place). It is a good way to tone your legs and burn calories.
I spend most of my day at a desk so this little pedal machine is exactly what I need to keep my legs moving and to help with a little bit of exercise while I work on my computer. It was easy to put together and allows you to adjust the tension which is great.
I used one of these in physical therapy after my accident and it really helped to strengthen my shoulders and arms and gently warm up my muscles so I could safely work on building my strength back. I missed it a lot after my physical therapy was over so of course I had to have one of my own. I love it. It offers a gentle smooth workout that you can make easy or more difficult as needed by turning the knob. As a bonus, it also works as a bike for keeping my legs in shape during long hours at a desk. I definitely recommend it to anyone that needs to strengthen their body. It’s a multitasker for sure.
My headline may make it seem a little worse than I intended it to sound. This exerciser is a fantastic under-the-desk pedaling device. It holds itself in place well even on carpet, was incredibly easy to assemble, and is quiet in operation. Very unlike many other stationary bicycles or similar exercisers that rely on friction-braking.
The levels of resistance they offer feel very similar to the range of resistance I get on my actual bicycle (at least the top and bottom ends; the middle resistances don’t quite align with my bike gears, but that’s just because my bike has 5 gears, and this exerciser has 8 resistances).
I did find that the height/angle of your chair is really important. If my chair is at its normal height, then my heels tend to slam into the legs/feet of the exerciser. However, with my chair up higher, my feet are at the right angle to clear the legs of the device. That said, you have to perform a bit of a balancing act to both be high up enough for that, but low enough or at the right distance that you aren’t slamming your knees into the bottom of your desk all the time too.
I can’t fault the device for that though, as that’s to be expected in my mind, and they can’t possibly account for every person/chair/desk combination out there!
However, I do have a small complaint that the stats on the device only come in metric (Kilometers, or km/s) with no option to change them. Also, based on my experience with other similar fitness tracking devices, and how the calories burned doesn’t seem to adjust based on the resistance (even if you’re pedaling at the exact same speed), I have a suspicion that the calories burned metric isn’t going to be the most accurate.
For me, those complaints fall into the category of “nice-to-haves”, but really don’t affect me and my use of it. I wanted something quiet and discreet for getting a little exercising while I’m sitting at my desk all day working, and for that this exerciser nails it!
I haven’t had a bike in a while, and admittingly I haven’t been doing my best to keep my legs in shape. I thought about these little bike peddlers for a long time but I didn’t think they would be as efficient as a real bike or a full sized exercise bike. I was wrong.
The first thing you’ll notice is just how easy it is to set this thing up. The main body is fully assembled in the box and all you got to do is add the front and rear stabilizer bars, add the peddles, put in the battery and that’s it. The included wrench is also VERY HIGH QUALITY and not like those thin, poor quality wrenches that are in other build kits. This made installing everything a breeze. It only took mere minutes to setup.
Once you get started, there are adjustments on the peddle straps to help you get the best fit for your foot placement, and there is a turn dial on the front that adjusts the intensity of the workout. Setting 1, for example, is similar to coasting down a shallow hill, while Setting 8 is like peddling straight up a mountain. At first, I didn’t think this would make me feel anything, but turn it up anywhere past 5/6 and you will start to get a good burn in your calves and thighs within a few minutes.
The front display also has different modes to set to your liking. You can toggle between calories burned, time spent, distance traveled, and your overall speed. You can also clear your progress at any time by long pressing the button until it clears so you can start it fresh every time you workout.
Overall, this has been a great little machine. I have found myself using it while listening to music on my phone or when relaxing and watching TV. While this shouldn’t be considered as a full replacement to a normal workout routine, it is definitely something that will still help burn off calories with time.
Thanks for your time and I hope this has been insightful.
Upon assembly, I found the motion of this mini-cycle to be smooth, and comfortable without any hitches or stutters in the motion. The resistance works cleanly, without the feel of any grinding or slippage. It was easily assembled, and even came with a spare battery for the built-in display. The only downside is how you insert the battery into the display. It is wedged into the housing, and when pulling it out, if you’re not careful you could very easily yank the connections to the sensors right off the back of the PCB. There is a connector on the back that can be disconnected from the sensors, but the cable is rather short, and I’ve seen these types of solder joins give way without much effort previously, so be aware.
Setup was a breeze. I took it out of the box, attached both legs, and it was ready to go! It fits perfectly under my desk, it’s quiet, and it has great tension. I started on level one until I got acclimated to it and even on that setting I could feel it in my legs, thighs, and glutes. It’s a great way to get a workout in while you’re working or even sitting on the couch. I also like that it’s built solid and stays in place even though I use it on a hardwood floor. I would recommend measuring your space to make sure the bike fits where you want it and that you have enough clearance for your legs to go up and down.
The suction cups do not work, at all. That said, everything else works perfectly. It is very easy to put together, light enough for me to carry with one hand. The screen is fine, a backlight would have been nice, the control button functions, and all of the information seems accurate. The foot straps are adjustable but require a screwdriver. The tension knob works and can definitely feel the different levels. We are limited on space, this is perfect for small spaces, fits right under my desk in the corner for storage and centered for use.
This is a much welcomed additions to my office desk setup. I spend countless hours working and researching from home and I needed to find a way to improve the ergonomic and ensure I stay healthy even while sitting on my desk. This bike helps me achieve just that, it’s small and fits nicely under my desk. It also provides tension control and a very visible screen to keep up with your activities. The setup was super easy and all tools were provided. It’s Light enough to be easily movable without causing any inconvenience so that’s great . Overall, I totally enjoy having this as part of my setup 🙂
I was really looking forward to this and had it assembled five minutes after it was dropped off. I’m a 53 year old male who works from home, spends hours (an understatement) in front of the computer and am having issues (numbness, tingling and blood flow) in my legs and feet. Tried everything from custom chair cushions, leg rest and feet vibration devices without much relief. This looked promising! Time will tell if it provides relief. However, just moving my legs I know is a major positive step in the right direction. Thank you for that!
Very ease to setup, although it may sound loud (very sensitive microphone) in the video it is whisper quiet and was able to be in a conference call at the same time without tripping my microphone. Had to lower my chair some to avoid hitting knees on the desk. Took a little time to get it positioned just right and found is could slide otherwise.. the type of floor used will matter. But, they did take that into consideration with the round suction cup like feet. My office mat is a little on the slick side.
Future enhancements:
1. As you can see from the video I’m barefoot and the pegs after 8 miles was causing a little discomfort. An option for a longer foot peg would solve that and might be more comfortable for people with bad feet adding more support.
2. Add WIFI or Bluetooth with a nice application. Integration into Apple’s Health app would be a plus. Tracking (speed, distance.. etc), goals, reminders and battery status. All things that keep you engaged! Heck, I could see a biking game out of this making all that much more fun to use.
3. For those moments when you need a break add a nice soft foot rest on the top middle section where the handle is. A velcro pad that can be added or removed with ease would be nice to have.
Very well designed (kiddos to the team) and thoughtful level of detail is obvious throughout the entire experience.
Been using it for almost 2 weeks. It’s heavy so it is easier to make it stay in place. Had to get used to focusing on keeping it steady. The suction cups are useless. I see a difference in my legs. I use it every day, when I sit around being lazy. It’s perfect. Only a few pieces to put together.
Easy to assemble, excellent quality, compact under the desk exercise bike.
Rides smooth with multiple resistance levels, is lightweight and easy to maneuver. Has a clear display that measures your speed and mileage.
I have not had any issues at all with slippage, I have it on a workout mat and use when I am not standing at my standing desk.
Battery is easy to install, pop out the display and put 1 AA battery in. Excellent way to keep your body moving while working.

This is now a part of my daily routine!
Trs bon produit, effet vlo raliste, solide, durable, de tes bonne qualit.
