I bought this for my gaming setup as i was missing my second monitor for discord and just watching videos when playing games so i got this . I was very surprised by the picture quality the stand is super sturdy and it has speakers that i was not aware of so that is a bonus . The only downside of this is that the cables have no way to be hidden so if you dont like your setup to have spaghetti cables be aware !

I use this for work and it has been very useful. Connectivity is great, image is great and is perfect for what I am using it for. Also as a second screen for my computer, it is brilliant.

I work covering 4 different branches so being able to just set up with an extra monitor that fits in my laptop bag is brilliant. The picture quality is good. Running on usb-c only is brilliant that I only need one cable, however I have used it at home on the PS5 using the HDMI cable and it works perfectly. My one improvement would be to increase the brightness higher however I wander if that’s the limit of running from laptop powered USB-C only.

Arrived in good time, safe and in great condition.
Fantastic and very handy monitor, great resolution and looks brilliant attached to my MacBook Air.
Very portable too, so totally recommend for those on the go a lot, or just as a second monitor. It’s easy to connect and gets recognised as a second monitor instantly.
Even names the display on the settings automatically, so quick to differentiate between the two monitors when making adjustments.

Can be connected using 1 cable, really easy to connect, good size. Really useful for uni work. Only slightly annoying thing is that the brightness automatically reverts back to really dark and needs to be changed every time you plug it in, but that’s no hardship. Oh, and the speakers are a bit tinny so you’re better off using your laptop speakers instead.

Because the USB-C cable was to small, I bought a 2mtr one with a right angle connector and it works a treat.

    Initial review of thee
ARZOPA Portable Monitor A1 GAMUT SLIM 14
Dated “12/10/23” Price “78.99 When Bought”

The box it comes in is good and tightly packed as there`s little chance of the monitor moving about.
I wanted this 14″ monitor to be a second monitor just so I didn’t have to keep ALT Tabbing in and out of games just to see if OBS was recording or someone sent a message via discord etc. Yes I could have bought say a 24″ basic monitor for the same price but I don’t have the room, so this does the job well.
I plugged it in via USB-C and it came on straight away and with a few setting changes in window we were off to the races.

The monitors colours are a bit off, so either you calibrate it or do what I did and put it in HDR mode and it made one hell of a difference.

The monitor comes with a stand and 2 cables “USB-C & HDMI”.
The controls on the side take a bit of time to get used to but you will get used to them fast.

There are just a few suggestions I would recommend.
Make the cable another 25-50cms longer.
Add a soft case so you can carry it about.
Maybe also a small bracket to put it to a wall if you wanted too.

All in all, I think it’s worth the price I paid for it and at the moment I would recommend it.

I bought this monitor to work with my ThinkPad T450 runing ArchLinux. I was a bit apprehensive as not all hardware is compatible with the Linux operating system. I connected the monitor from the computers’ mini-display port to the monitors’ mini HMDI port via a conversion cable and it just worked….. So I bought another! I connected the second one to the old VGA port using a Foinnex VGA to HMDi convertor unit (available at Amazon). So Now I have portable three monitor setup. Absolutely no issues thus far so 369.98 thoroughly well spent IMHO.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis is an excellent product. I normally do not write reviews but I feel compelled here.
I am a pro videographer and photographer so I needed an external monitor for my MAC M1.
I am normally quite conscious of my workflow so using an external monitor helps with masking and such with video editing.

The colours are waaaaaay off – so as some others have stated, buy a Spyder X pro and calibrate the display.

The monitor itself is well build in an aluminium body with a hard faux leather back which acts like a stand.

There is a small mini hdmi cable and 2 USB-C ports which are self-powered, so if you use a USB-C cable from your mac book it’ll immediately work as a second display and you don’t have to do anything. It works right out of the box.

If you plug it into your phone it is self powered and you get either a mirrored display or if you have a decent Samsung phone you’ll get Samsung Dex which acts as a desktop experience.

If you have clients you visit and want to use this to showcase a video – this is a great investment. Just buy a monitor calibration tool to sort out the colour inbalance / white inbalance !

I wanted something cheap for hooking up to a phone when on the road. This monitor has exceed all expectations in terms of build, picture quality and portability. I love it. The only thing I’d change is the menu system. Changing the volume is not quick, as you have to flick through the menu system every time to alter it. I would prefer if the up/down toggle did volume by default and not brightness.

I really liked everything about this product, un-boxing was easy for a start and everything you might need is included including a local power plug (rarely happens) and HDMI, USB-C cables to connect the monitor to your laptop. I have a MacBook Pro and it connected straight away – it has a handy cover to protect the screen that also acts as a stand. It fits in a standard back-pack so you can bring it anywhere you might need – very happy with this product!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI was looking for a portable screen to use with my lap top for work purposes and I saw the great reviews for this item. I decided with a bit of trepidation, given it isn’t a small sum of money if it didn’t work out and wouldn’t connect to my lap top etc. to give it a go and get one.

I was thrilled when it arrived. It is well packaged and put together, the screen looks of great quality. There are a number of different leads depending on your needs, meaning you don’t have to hunt around for a lead of have the added delay of buying what you need.

The colour and screen quality is brilliant and I couldn’t be more pleased. All I did was connect the cable and turn it on and it sprung in to life, mirroring my lap top screen. A small windows setting change and I assigned my laptop as screen one and the portable screen as screen two and I was good to go.

I am so pleased with my purchase. I rarely leave reviews as I have so little free time, but this was worth logging in to give positive feedback for. Great produc

I absolutely love this monitor! It’s vastly superior to the rubbish low-quality 11.6-inch TFT monitor that I’ve suffered with for two years. I’m currently utilising this primarily as an IP cam monitor and the difference in overall quality is incredible.

It’s super slim and feels every bit as premium as a high-end screen or tablet. There are two USB C inputs and one mini HDMI input providing 1080p@60Hz resolution. There’s also a headphone output. The IPS anti-reflective display is crisp and clear with only a tiny bezel. Colour accuracy isn’t great out of the box, but it’s easily adjusted using the excellent OSD menu. The one feature I wasn’t aware of but so glad to see is auto-brightness, which works perfectly!

I’ve got nothing but positive things to say about this monitor. For just shy of 90, it’s well worth it!

I purchased the 17.3″ monitor which came well packaged with three cables (HDMI to mini-HDMI, USB-C to USB-C, and USB-C to USB-A) plus a plug for external power.

The device worked right out of the box, and I was able to use it on two different laptops and my Android phone. Connecting the monitor to my laptop using the USB-C to USB-C cable required no external power. Although, external power would probably be needed for maximum brightness settings.

It provided a clear picture, and the built-in speaker worked well. Despite being a 17.3″ monitor, it is easy to move around, although I have no plans to transport it in my rucksack.

Overall, this monitor turned out to be perfect for my use which will involve running presentations/demonstrations and attending meetings.

Update 20th September 2023: I have been using the device for almost two months now and I am very pleased with it. It has turned out to be an excellent device for work and personal use. The monitor can easily be stored away when not needed. Great product and highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI ran with an Azorpa 15″ attached to any and all of my Macbook, Gaming Laptop and Steam Deck, typically with 8 hours of usage every day. I loved it.

When it died, I upgraded to this 17″ version, and it’s every bit as good. Clear picture quality, good colour setup, responsive enough for (non-competitive) gaming. I mostly code Roblox experiences and Unreal Engine while building detailed assets in Blender – this screen is perfect for both, with no loss of sharpness, instability, or flicker.

I use it for work with Zoom or Teams on this screen, and video is just great.

It stands up well as a second gaming monitor – in MS Flight Sim, for example, I like to keep my Radio and VFR Map panels on this screen.

As a “bigger” Steam Deck screen, this works brilliantly – I haven’t had to mess with any settings, and Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, and AC look great. (For performance, I’ve switched over to running a lot of my games through GeForce Now on the deck – better graphics, much less battery use even when this screen is on, though I do power this screen with the supplied PSU plug).

Not often does a product work exactly as I hoped it would… This is one of those rare occasions where the product works EXACTLY how I hoped it would.

One short USB-C cable (included in the box) connects from my 14″ Macbook Pro M1 to the monitor which not only powers but passes picture to it as well. The screen is incredibly thin, has a small bezell and a detatchable magnetic fold-out kick stand case that acts as a screen cover when folded down (think iPad case). So I can literally just pull out one cable and fold this screen away and put it in my Macbook laptop case along with the Macbook when travelling.

The colours on this monitor from factory are WAY off, so it definitely needs calibrating. It’s a sub 100 screen after all. I used my Datacolour Spyder for this calibration and now the screen looks pretty good when side by side with my Macbook! Another tick! Screen brightness is good, but not as good as my Macbook Pro understandably and resolution is 1080p which is fine. Viewing angles are good and the screen is only semi-glossy so you don’t get a lot of glare from lights. Packaging was very classy and above expection for the cost. Keep your picture quality expectations realistic for the asking price and you’ll love this. It’s extremely affordable at the time of writing (95), and worth every penny in my opinion.

My only criticisms of this product are:
    – The multi jog-wheel type button that’s used to control the menu functions. It is rather small and you have to depress it quite firmly to get a response. This is kind of fine because it keeps the design minimal and the exterior of the device flush, but I just have that gut feeling that the button *might* break after extended use or if someone is heavy handed with it. I will update this review if that does occur
    – The screen has speakers built in somehow (rather thin!!), but unless you mute them (which I did immediately of course lol) you’ll hear a faint high-frequncy buzzing noise. Very luckily the high pitch noise goes away when you mute the sound output in the menu.

    5 stars. Love it!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this Gamut A1 Slim for use with my steam deck, and I have to say I am very impressed, with some tweaking you can get great performance. Increasing the brightness and changing the colour presets can make this look very nice (currently using the FPS present, makes everything pop and gives great depth).
It has Pass through charging, so plugging the Steamdeck charger into the monitor and then using the usb C cable provided you can also charge the deck. If you want to use this with a hub, it also comes with an HDMI to Mini HDMI (the mini end is for the monitor) to connect up, leaving you a USBC port free in the monitor.
What I found really impressive was the fact if you use the USBC cable provided, you can power the monitor solely from the stream deck, without too much extra drain on the decks battery, making it truly portable! (I assume this would also be the case if you use a laptop too)
The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is just due to how it stands on its case, not the best “hinge” design as it is only a hard leather case (also probably due to the fact I’m just used to the hinge on my surface pro). You can also use it as a “tent” style prop up, but again, not the best. Will just use a tablet stand on my desk if I ever want to use it as a second monitor for my desktop.
Overall, very light, slimline design so can just be chucked in a bag easily, easy to set up and really great to use for a Steamdeck. If it could get 4.5 stars it would.
Really happy with my purchase, especially at the discounted price of 99!

I bought this as my laptop was getting a bit heavy in my hand luggage and while my set up has a larger footprint the weight I reduced is amazing as I can just put the monitor in my suitcase and have the steam deck in my hand luggage…My set up was jury rigged as I forgot one of the cables at home so it’s a mess but it works flawlessly with just 1 power connection for the steam deck and monitor, the steam deck charger is enough to power the steam deck and monitor and external ssd through the dock…Didn’t play any games on it…The monitor itself is very well built, has a good stand/cover that is removable (magnetic),it does have an odd strong smokey smell to it when it’s new but the smell has faded now,can only smell it up close..a bit odd..Picture quality is great,no complaints, sound is average but adequate some may not like it,but for the price you’re not getting dolby thx….Doesn’t need much power to run either and has pass through connections….It may be a bit small for some but for my usage it was perfect…Highly recommended.

This is a brilliant bit of kit. I didn’t want a permanent monitor in my front room but needed an extra for work.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this portable monitor to allow me to set up a multi screen laptop based work station when away from home. It was a bit of a gamble as I had no idea if I’d like this setup. Turns out I LOVE this setup!

The monitor has a lovely image quality, and I was surprised to find it will run at 120hz. Bonus! I love that you don’t need to use a power supply to run it – either use just a single USB C cable for display and power in one, or use HDMI for display and usb to power it. All the cables are included with the monitor.

I like it so much that when I return from this trip away I’ll buy a second one so I can have a three screen portable setup.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this to supplement my Steam Deck so I can still have the portability but with a larger screen, higher resolution, and smaller bezels! And this monitor is almost perfect for it. The only thing missing is the ability to use 40Hz. So you have to limit to 30 or 60fps on your Steam Deck. On my Steam Deck settings I’ve enabled a specific resolution for the external display of 1600×900 rather than full HD, so it doesn’t affect game performance too much having a larger resolution, and it’s still plenty sharp enough for this size screen. I increased Brightness to 100, Contrast to 75 (any higher will over expose highlights), colour temp on Warm. And I suspect a lot of people here (who have mentioned low volume) have completely missed the Volume setting under the Signal Source tab, which by default is set to 50%. Knock that up to 100! The audio is great for how small the speakers are. The Steam Deck also detects external display volume when adjusting, however the two settings are separate so increase both. Being able to just connect the Steam Deck to the monitor and actually power it too is amazing. But you will need to plug in a power adapter at some point. I use the Steam Deck’s own power supply to plug into the monitor and then it passes through to charge the Deck. Couldn’t have wished for better for this price. Brilliant!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for the price!

Updated – Arzopa reached out to me and sent me a third screen which is perfect, the chassis appears to be made from aluminium not plastic so very robust. Guess I was just unlucky with the first 2.
Ive used it for a couple of days so far, works great with PC as second monitor for my 3D printing workflow as a hobbiest and also editing videos from drone footage. Kids have used it with their Nintendo switch which has great clarity. The built in speakers are ok considering the size but don’t expect surround sound!
My Arzopa customer service experience has been great, a lot better than other companies I’ve dealt with. If you do get unlucky and find dead pixels just reach out to Arzopa and they will sort it. I’ve updated to 4 stars, would be 5 stars had I received this condition first off.

Ordered my first one which arrived but on first connection screen had a single bright pixel in the bottom left, Amazon help told me to massage it but didn’t bring it to life! Returned for refund and ordered another. This arrived and unfortunately single bright pixel in the centre of the screen, so returned this too. Looks like a defective batch. Was on sale at 189 but appears not great quality control with this manufacturer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI really like this product. I use it to help me look at information. In the beginning, the screen was always connected erratically because I bought the wrong adapter. I didn’t know the reason at the time, but then I found out that the adapter I bought didn’t support MAC, and then I bought the correct one.
And in the meantime I emailed ARZOPA’s customer support to ask about it. They got back to me quickly. My understanding was correct. Here’s a reminder to remember to buy an adapter for your laptop if it’s a MacBook Air 2017, which requires a Thunderbolt 2 adapter. Then you can have another screen. Very handy, I’m not too interested in playing games, I mainly use it to read information and it works very well. The sound works very well too. Support ARZOPA.

I have been looking for a portable monitor for some time and after finding this on Amazon I am pleased with the purchase. The device has a built in case to protect your screen which can also double as a stand. The screen didn’t feel laggy when using it with my Steam Deck, which can be attached directly via USB and will draw power from your device.

The screen is bright and clear, and with a 60Mhz refresh rate and 3 millisecond response time, it feels snappy. Yes you can get 1 millisecond USB monitors, but they normally cost a lot more money.

This monitor will easily slip in your laptop bag and isn’t too heavy or power demanding, so you can even run it off a battery pack.

My main pros and cons are as follows:

    Pros
    Clear full HD picture
    HDR
    Bright
    Responsive
    Ideal for travelling
Connectivity through USB or mini HDMI
Does well with games on the Steam Deck and other devices
    Light
    Great value

    Cons
    Screen is a fingerprint magnet
Mini HDMI rather than a normal HDMI
Not 4k (to be fair at this price it is good value nonetheless)
Would like to be able to remove the case

For an unboxing and view of the monitor in action, check out my YouTube channel as my video was too large to upload to Amazon!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI had an Asus external monitor back in 2020 but with lockdown and the lack of visiting client offices I sold it off. It was lovely but it was missing a crucial feature…pass through power from USB C. I am therefore delighted that this Arzopa monitor has this feature, and they don’t advertise it! It means I can plug a USB C Power supply in to one of the USB C ports then use the supplied cable to connect the display to my laptop USB-C port. The power pass through means the laptop charges up as well as sending the image to the display…brilliant news as my laptop, like most, only has one USB-C port.

The display is good for the price. Not as sharp as the laptop display when viewing icons and text but perfectly useable and looks great streaming 1080 Youtube. The speakers work surprisingly well but won’t win awards but again something my Asus display didn’t have.

The OSD lets you adjust the various usual settings but I find HDR mode (even when also activated on the laptop settings) is washed out and unusueable. I need to have a further play with that to see if it is any use.

I haven’t managed to connect my Huawei phone and get desktop mode enabled which would be useful but maybe that is more a phone issue than a display issue.

The price was 239.99 then an 80 discount code was applied. For 140 I am more than happy with it. I do wish Arzopa didn’t have so many displays listed though, very confusing figuring out the difference between them all. The A1 Gamut was the other choic which seems a similar spec but 1000:1 contrast rather than the 1200:1 on this one. For the 11 extra I am happy with this one.

As a graphic designer I find work with only the laptop screen unpleasant. So I got this monitor as a second screen for travelling.

At first I was disappointed, as I couldn’t seem to get the colours and brightness right at all. I tried all the functions on the monitor for hours and didn’t get anywhere.

But I got the problem in the screen settings on my computer solved. Now I am very happy with it!

I recently acquired the 17-inch ArZoPa portable monitor and let me tell you, I am BLOWN AWAY by its performance. This device has exceeded my expectations and I can confidently say that it will no longer be a temporary solution for my work needs. The Excel tasks and document reading I require are a breeze with its ample screen size. The device came with all the necessary cables, allowing for quick and effortless setup. Although the price point of 189 was a fair deal, I believe that a range of 125-150 would have made it even more appealing. Keep in mind, a sturdy stand is necessary for optimal use. I improvised with some boxes and a stand I already had, but this was a non-issue. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the 17-inch ArZoPa portable monitor to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient device.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI really like the screen. It’s easy to move around with it, not heavy at all. The included stand is also quite good and easy to use, just fold it backwards like an iPad.
I only use it as a second screen for office work, so I don’t need great picture quality but still I would say is good enough quality although it’s not very bright, colors are often a bit matte.
Sound is good. It includes different cables only one of them didn’t work for me, but I use the usbc-usbc one and that works just well.
What I love about it is that it doesn’t need to be plugged to electricity only to your laptop! I hate cables so that makes me super happy!! When working in a coffee shop for example I only need my laptop and the cable to connect both screens! No more cables, it’s sooo good!! Of course you must have power in the laptop, the double screen will use the power from the laptop or device you connect it to, it doesn’t have its own battery.
I’ve used the screen also to play with my nintendo switch and it works just well but not so bright colors.
I also like the size of it, it’s big enough to do most jobs and super thin and light. Also the margin around the screen is very thin!
I would say the only thing I didn’t like was that the colors are a bit washed out, but still pretty pretty good quality for its price!

I am so impressed with this portable monitor. It truly is portable! You could take your PS5 with you on a train, plug the PS5 into the plug socket, connect this monitor to your PS5 via the USB-C cable, and you can play on the train!

The monitor is SO thin and light! It’s less than 1 centimetre thick and it only weighs ~700 grams with the leather case. Think of it like a 14 inch tablet with an incredible screen for just 150! It comes with all the cables you need, but no power adaptor so you’ll need to supply your own. I’ve got this setup with my laptop, as I connect the monitor via USB-C for both power and an image. The screen is beautiful and plenty bright, and the included speakers are also a nice touch if you don’t have inbuilt speakers, e.g. on a games console.

Overall, I think this is a brilliant monitor that is super portable, and I’d highly recommend it!

Also comes with its own leather case to protect it when not in use.
Is easy enough to set up.
    Easily connects.
The quality in picture performance is perfect and it is FHD as it says.
I like it as it can be used as screen for gaming or a second screen for your laptop if needed.
    Is portable.
The sound is what you would expect it to be.
    Great for traveling.

This is a very nice design monitor (monitor not tablet). It looks nice and thin the screen look nice and the case as well looks good and covers the screen well and also can be shifted in to a stand as well. The picture quality its decent as the sound as well.It connects very easy to may android phone.
I’m saying its not a tablet because first of all it doesn’t hold charge because it doesn’t have a battery so it has to be plugged in either with the adapter in the socket or plugged in to your laptop or even frome your phone but it will drain the battery fast.It doesn’t stream or play games on it so you need a source to use it.It has a usb c port and also a mini hdmi port so not a full sized hdmi one.Do i like it yes i do its a good add up to a phone if you like to watch movies or play games.

This is a very handy slimline monitor that can be used in a variety of ways. It comes with some cables (1 x USB-C to USB-C cable, 1 x HDMI Mini Cable to HDMI,
1 x USB-C to USB-A cable), but if you’re connecting an Apple device like me, you will need a lightning to HDMI cable or adapter, as this isn’t included.

The screen is very easy to set up, plug and play really. We’re using this as a screen for an iPhone to stream films when we’re away and it’s excellent for that purpose. The screen fits neatly into hand luggage but is much smaller and lighter than a laptop.

The screen image is excellent with really good visual acuity. I’ve also tested with my laptop as an additional screen, and again it performs very effectively and it’s great to have the choice of screen mirroring (duplicate mode) or second (different) screen (extension mode).

Overall a great piece of kit with many uses at a very reasonable price currently of 120. If a screen like this is what you’re looking for then you won’t go wrong with this one. Five stars.

I’m using this as a CCTV monitor, connected to a Mac mini. So far it has performed very well – it’s slim and attractive, and the image quality is excellent. True HD (1080p) resolution (which most screens at this size don’t have), good connectivity, reasonably good stand, good brightness, and sound. HDMI plus USB cables from the Mac provide both signal and power – no additional power supply required. My only gripe is that the ports are at the side, so the cables are very visible – it would be far neater if they were at the back. Overall though, great quality and value.

My son connected it all up for her and it’s perfect. It’s 14 inch so won’t take up much room and makes it really portable.
She can watch things like Netflix with ease as the screen quality seems quite good.
We found it was bright enough and the quality of the images are sharp.
I like the stand that’s built in and can be stood up with no effort.

This is a portable stand alone 14″ monitor that can be used for so many different things.
It is incredibly slim and comes with its own bespoke leather fold over protective case that doubles as a stand.
The picture quality is perfectly acceptable for a monitor of this size and price.
It has a variety of connections around the edges of the monitor and no in built battery (Which is why it is so slim and ludicrously light)
You could easily tuck this in a laptop case as well as your laptop and not be able to tell it is even there!
It can be used as a screen for a games machine, or even a phone, anything from apple to an X-box.
It can be used as a second screen on a laptop or computer, as long as your laptop supports it.
It can even be used as a video / DVD / Tv screen if you have the right devices to plug into it.
The monitor is powered by the USB-C port which works well and when I connect my phone to it the phone gets charged at the same time, which is handy!
It does not have any kind of tuner built in so any video input is via a mini HDMI port, so you may have to invest in a new cable or two depending on what job you are buying this to do.
It is worth buying the best leads you can because they are susceptible to knocks being round the edges.
Considering how light and thin it is the built in speakers do a good job, it is amazing how much the sound on these things has improved in the last few years.
My daughter is currently using this as a super screen for her switch, but I know when she remodels her room it will become a third screen on her gaming computer if she can make it work!
    Happy to help.

So I have been using this at work almost every day now, and also at home to make a 2nd screen for my office.

The screen is great and works perfeclty
All connections are secure and even when I move mine, nothing goes wrong.
The speakers are very basic but they do work.
USe a battery pack to power the screen whilst it was connected to my phone, and the battery pack was charging my phone and powering the screen in one go!

Firstly, this is not a tablet as it requires video source. Secondly, this does not contain a battery, you will need to get power from either your laptop or your phone or whatever device as long as your USB-C is full specs that provides power.

If I connect this to my phone, it will draw the power from my phone when no power cable is plugged in. If the power cable is plugged in, it will then power the monitor as well as charging my phone.

The box comes with USB-C to USB-C cable, HDMI to miniHDMI cable, USB-C to USB-A power cable, a cleaning cloth and an adaptor.

There are two USB-C ports and a miniHDMI port on the monitor, not a full size HDMI port.

I connected this to my phone and also to my laptop, both instants worked very well. Video quality is pretty good for a small screen. However, sound quality is very average.

Depending on your device, you may not get the fullscreen but some black bands around if your display source cannot be adjusted. I get black bands using my Sony Xperia, but that comes with an unusual screen ratio.

You may adjust the brightness, contrast etc. this is basically just like a desktop monitor but smaller.

    PROS:

The video quality and framerate are decent with high quality source.

The monitor is quite thin and comes with a smart flip cover. The flip cover is not the best quality in terms of flexibility or sturdiness but just about does the job.

    CONS:

As an iphone user, I do have a lightning to HDMI cable for connecting to TV or monitor, however this won’t cut it for this monitor, you will need a lightning to HDMI (female) adaptor to go with the included HDMI to miniHDMI cable, as the monitor does not have full size HDMI port.

The OSD button to control the brightness and contrast etc. is hit and miss. It works well most of the time but occasionally some options are greyed out for no reasons. The wheel allows up and down actions as well as pressing in to select. The wheel is far too small and not proud enough, I found it very difficult to use.

Overall, this is an external screen designed for on-the-go situation. This is particularly good for presentation to a small audience as a sole screen facing them rather than having them looking at your screen at awkward angle.

This monitor ain’t much cheaper than a budget tablet, so not much benefit buying this for that purpose, but it will serve a good travel monitor (caravan, train, hotel etc.) for movies using your phone, for Switch or even for PS5!

I think it worth the price if you have situations that you need a small portable monitor.

Worth the price! But no iphone connection cable included

Ordered this as we’re planning a few staycations this year with the kids and whilst they’ll be busy during the day, they get a bit bored just at the lodge in the evenings so ordered this to allow them to play their switch on the go. Good size of screen, easy to set up and whilst the screen quality isn’t HD perfect, it’s clear and works well for what we need it to do.
Would have liked the option to have it charge so it could be used away from a power source but with a good enough power bank we’ve been able to set it up for the kids in the back of the car.

The Arzopa 14″ external monitor is the first portable monitor I have tried. It filled me with regret for not getting one sooner. Working from home I have dual ultrawidescreen monitors; and as soon as I go on a work trip im stuck with a 14″ laptop screen so working into the night on tasks it becomes quite difficult. On my first work trip the Arzopa monitor made me more efficient into the night. It also let me use my iPad mini as a media device; and watch prime video on a larger screen.

It is a compact device and weight in around 700g a fairly lightweight device. It is a solid metal build; with a magnetic attaching screen protecting plastic cover; that doubles as a stand. If you are using it for travel you may want to put it into a laptop pouch to give it a little more protection.

The stand/ screen cover is the element I most dislike; it doesn’t allow for many positions for the monitor; or any degree of adjustment. A tripod thread would have allowed for some basic mounting options; and a kickstand would have been awesome.

The monitor is powered by USB-C – sadly neither my work dell nor personal Mac could power and send screen data down one cable; so you need to use the second usb-c socket or the Mini – HDMI socket to get content out. The kit includes a USB-C power adaptor along with a cable to post the unit. The mini HDMI socket is a pain; the monitor is plenty big enough for a full size HDMI socket. They do include an HDMI to Mini HDMI cable so you can use it if your device has an HDMI socket – my pocket pc has an HDMI micro socket so would need a separate cable to work. The connectors are all on the left of the screen; so this really wants to be a left hand screen if you want your screens to be side by side.

The screen is bright enough for working on with some sunshine around; it is just fine for watching videos in hotel rooms. The screen itself is a little unsaturated; but that aside the refresh rate didn’t give me any headaches – and having a second screen made coding so much easier. The onscreen menu (photo) lets you adjust a lot of settings to get a picture closer to what you want – and there is a reset option if you get it badly wrong.

Arzopa does give you all you need to get started. I wouldn’t use it as a second monitor at home; a monitor with an adjustable stand is far better to work with. On the road having a second monitor is beyond useful; for work and just watching movies on something bigger than my tablet screen.

More efficient work on the road

This is a smart-looking portable monitor that certainly lives up to its ultra-slim description.

I connected it to my laptop using the mini HDMI to HDMI cable. This worked fine, but I did also have to connect the USB-C to USB-C cable to power the monitor. Brightness can be controlled via a switch on the side of the monitor.

By default the monitor duplicates whatever is showing on the monitor of your device, but you can change that if you want using the settings menu on your laptop (or other device). I thought the display quality was good but not exceptional. The dual speakers provide very good sound quality.

The monitor comes with a smart magnetic cover made of PU (synthetic) leather. This protects the monitor when it is closed and can be used as a stand when opened.

If you want an easy-to-use portable monitor that is slim and lightweight, this one should fit the bill. There are just a couple of things to bear in mind. One is that it doesn’t have a built-in battery, so you will need to power it externally, probably via a USB port. And second, it’s not touch sensitive. If you need that, you will need to look elsewhere. Four stars from me.

This portable monitor so far is doing a great job as a third monitor for a gaming setup. While it’s only 60hz and 1080p, you can still play games on it reasonably well and the smaller size makes games look great in 1080p. Personally I’m not using this for games but rather to monitor temperatures and system parameters while my centre monitor handles games and the left one has YouTube/Discord etc open on it.

The little monitor has some loud speakers built into it, plenty loud enough to listen to music or watch videos with. I haven’t actually had my headset plugged in for a few days now as this does me just fine for when I’m not in a voice call.

In terms of connectivity, you have three options, two of which are USB-C and the last is mini HDMI. All the cables are included in the box so that you can plug and play straight away. The mini HDMI cable is mini to standard HDMI so you don’t have to worry about being unable to use it on your pc provided you have a HDMI port or USB-C.

The total power consumption of the monitor when playing videos is around 4w which is effectively nothing in comparison to a standard monitor.

One issue I have with the monitor is the stand/case for it. It’s pretty difficult to get it to stay stood up at certain angles so I had to use double sided tape to keep it stood upright. Other than this, it’s great and will stay stood up by itself in good positions, it’s just that the position I needed for my setup, wasn’t stable enough to use so I opted to double sided tape it to make sure it doesn’t fall and break.

The brightness of the monitor is really good, this is adjustable via the button on the side of the monitor and I have turned mine all the way up to make it as bright as my full sized monitors.

The low power consumption coupled with the slimness and low weight of this monitor make it a great choice for people needing a portable monitor.

The monitor is great to provide a considerably larger switch screen whilst sat waiting in the car. You can’t use the HDMI lead to power the monitor, it doesn’t have a battery. So when in the car, for the Nintendo Switch I connect the USB-C to USB-C lead to the switch and monitor, then the USB-A to USB-C lead to a USB port in the car and monitor.

Limited alterations though, as you are able to change the brightness and volume but that’s it.

The consoles are heavy, But there’s no guarantee that they will work on the provided televisions on the hotels or other accommodation we are staying at. This portable monitor is slimline and lightweight, Making it ideal to carry in a suitcase without adding too much weight.

The 14-inch screen is large enough for me to play my games comfortably and know 100% for sure that i will be able to take my home entertainment with me, And it will work in any country as long as i bring a compatible power adapter. The portable monitor arrived in its own white branded box, the top cover lifts off revealing the portable monitor inside, also included is a PU Leather magnetic case, Mini HDMI – standard HDMI cable, USB-C – USB-C cable, USB-C – USB-A cable, UK 3 point plug charging adapter that’s capable of a 20w fast charge, cleaning cloth and informative instructions.

My first impressions of the portable monitor was that it was light and thin even with the case on, it’s well manufactured and everything just feels neat and nicely laid out, the monitor weighs 560g on its own and 830g including the case, it measures just 12mm thick at the thickest section (including the case) x 320mm long x 195mm wide (including the case).

It has is a full HD 19201080 IPS screen with a refresh rate of 60Hz, a viewing angle of 178, contrast ratio of 1000:1& a 72% NTSC color gamut, built in blue light filter.
The screen quality is very good when using the HDMI cable provided to provide an extra display for the laptop/PC, it could be used in landscape or portrait mode by altering the setting on your laptop/PC, I used it with my iPad Pro using the USB-C cable and the clarity is not that great for some reason, it worked well enough using the USB-C to the Nintendo switch though, one thing to note is you have to use the cables provided not the regular charging cables to get a picture.

The monitor has built in speakers with a volume switch on the side and a 3.5mm headphone jack, there are 2 x USB-C inputs, the side button can be used to cycle through the 3 inputs, if the monitor is not connected to a power supply it will use the power from the phone/tablet or laptop.

This monitor would be good for travelling or a kids bedroom who just wants something to play a games console on, or to use if you want an extra monitor on the side that won’t take up much space.

Overall, I like the style and the screen quality of this monitor, it’s nicely designed and portable to suit your needs, thank you.

I had high hopes for this monitor and while it does do its job, overall it was quite underwhelming.

To start, you get a lot of useful accessories in the box which I did not expect. You get a USB-C to USB-C cable, a USB-A to USB-C cable, a HDMI to mini HDMI cable, a microfibre cleaning cloth, a ‘smart cover’, and even a plug adapter.

All these accessories are well built and mean you will have exactly what you need in any situation. The USB plug has a USB-A and a USB-C port with power delivery up to 20W and QC 3.0, this is quite a good quality plug to get included for free.
The cables also all feel very good quality although perhaps a little short.

The monitor comes in what seems like a fake leather case which they call a ‘smart cover’. The case does a great job at protecting the monitor when not in use and when travelling as well as allowing you to stand up the monitor. To stand it up, you just unfold partially either the whole side or just the bottom half, then you can adjust it to pretty much any angle you want so you can get the monitor facing exactly where you want.

The monitor itself seems quite strong and very well made with good quality materials. It is very thin and does not have an internal battery so is great for travelling with although it is a little heavy.
On the monitor you have 2 USB-C ports, a mini HDMI port and a headphone aux port. There are also 2 buttons, one of which also acts as a wheel. These buttons allow you to change settings such as the brightness, volume, input source and most of your other standard monitor settings.

For my use, I connected one of the USB-C ports to power and the other to the USB-C port on my MacBook Pro. As soon as I plugged in my MacBook, the screen turned itself on and was ready to go. SO far, I have only used the standard settings so you may be able to get a better experience however I was not very impressed with the picture quality.

The monitor is only 1080p so you can’t expect a super high resolution picture. The colours are also very dull, when looking at anything with any colour, the picture is very flat and boring making the experience not very enjoyable.
There is a HDR mode which I tried however this made the colours very inaccurate and seemed to more just make the screen more vibrant overall giving the picture a fake look.
At only 60hz as well, this monitor is probably not very enjoyable to game on however I have not tried gaming.

One good thing about the picture however is that it has an IPS panel which means it has great viewing angles. You can look at it from directly on the side and still be able to read text and have all the colours still look the same as they do from front on.

It also has built-in speakers which are nice to have but they were also not very impressive. They had pretty much no base meaning the sound was very flat and boring to listen to. It was quite clear the sound which is useful if listening to talking but if watching a show or listening to music, you will probably want to use external speakers.

Overall, this monitor may not be the best for watching shows or gaming but you get what you pay for so if you are looking for a second monitor to use for working on in order to help increase productivity and easy to travel with. At 128 when writing this, I would say it is quite a good deal.

Good for Working but Quite Poor Picture

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a 14 inch screen that can be used to add another screen tonyour setup or your phone. In my head, I had pretty low expectations
but (spoiler alert) – I was wrong.

    ** What you get **
    – The screen
    – Magnetic PU leather smart cover
    – USB-C to USB-C cable, HDMI mini to HDMI cable, USB-C to USB-A cable, 20W fast charger

** Is it any good **
Yes! I have never heard of the brand and had low expectations but am blown away by the build quality md design of this item. It feels good and just works.

The screen itself is sharp enouhh and 1080p is fine for a 14 inch screen. It lacks a bit of brightness and saturation. There is a bit of an orange hue to the picture too but nothing too distracting. There is a brightness control but no controls for things like contrast which you normally find on screens. Literally the only picture control is brightness.

    ** Connectivity **
The screen is super thin so has no battery. It needs a power source. You can power it via the USB-C cable when connected to your laptop so literally just the USB-C cable is all you need. If you use the HDMI cable you will need to use the charging plug as well to provide an external power source. If you connect to your phone (Android cable included) you will also need to use the external power source. When I connected my Galaxy Note 20 phone it actually activated the Dex mode and the monitor displayed as a desktop! One downside for some people will be that this isnt a touch screen, but that wasnt an issue for me. You can also connect a camera via USB to use as a camera monitor. It’s pretty fool-proof in its simplicity.

    ** Design **
It feels premium, which was a surprise. It feels well made, metal body, weighing less than half a kilo. The PU leather case is fully magnetic but strong to the point where I didn’t even realise it is detachable. It feels good and folds over just like other popular tablet ‘smart’ screens.

    ** Conclusion **
It’s a pretty simple screen but does what you need from a portable, lightweight screen. It lacks some options on screen calibration but it’s beauty comes in the simplicity it has, and great build quality. I’m very happy with it.

I hope this review was helpful 🙂

This monitor is proving to be excellent for value and performance. I found it easy to setup and everything I needed such as cables etc are all included. I use it as a third monitor with my laptop, powering the it from the laptop adapter and using the included usb-c to usb-c cable to connect to the laptop and pass through power. The brightness, resolution , colour and sharpness are all great. It’s super thin and has a magnetic case which can be used as a stand – in summary I am very pleased and can thoroughly recommend.

Has a manual brightness button on the side, would be better if this could be a setting option, not a game-changer though

This truly is an awesome little display, unboxing was easily and setup a case of plugging and playing. The picture is plenty bright enough, a mat finish to the screen means that reflection is low and the colour profile out of the box is very good too. For the price I couldn’t be happier.

The product so far seems good and its great how it is packaged with all the cables, well organised. However I have seen this with some Chinese products the material has a strange smell. Fishy smell the cover, the cables, when I open the packaging not sure why Chinese products have this odd smell. I can imagine it will be a sickening smell to some people.

Golden Review Award: 56 From Our UsersI use Photoshop and write code a lot on my 2019 MacBook Pro. A lot of the things I do happen late at night, when I’m happier sat on the sofa with the laptop on my knee rather than at my desk. I often need extra screen space for extra Photoshop tools/windows, device simulators, etc.

This 15.6″ screen connected to the MacBook with a supplied USB-C cable, and that provided enough power to run it. (The supplied external power supply wasn’t needed for that setup). It was instantly detected, and with a couple of side-button presses it auto-adjusted to match my preferred screen display settings. It’s sat next to me on the sofa as I write this, propped up on its smart-cover magnetic stand.

When I do go to my desk, it works well in my 3 x screen setup – with the MacBook, an external 24″ monitor, and this little portable screen, the desktop extends across all 3 screens, and the MacBook still has enough USB power (even with a Graphics Tablet and a wireless charging pad on USB).

It’s bright enough to work fine in sunlight, and at night you can dim it or change it’s colour temperature to something more soothing.

Overall, this is a fantastic little screen, highly recommended!

Updated May 2022 – turn out this is also a fantastic little screen to use with the Steam Deck.
I’ve also been using it with Windows 11 recently to have a video play on this screen while it work on another.
Just brilliant, this is my favourite computing/gaming accessory in the past couple of years!

Golden Review Award: 61 From Our UsersThere is a one star review on here. Ludicrous! This monitor is excellent, comes with all the cables you need. I use the USB-C to USB-C on my HP ProBook and did not need to configure anything. And when I use USB-C 2 USB-C on my Samsung Note 9 it loads up the DEX operating system.

While the protective magnetic cover is great for protection when you’re lugging it around, it makes for a pretty average stand. Rather like ipad smart cover I guess or the one you get with the Amazon Fire. It is fine for on an office desk. But I have bought an additional table holder so I can have it above my laptop.

If you want the best possible experience, then you need to switch on DCR in the menu and you get a wonderfully clear and bright screen with USB-C. I have not tried the HDMI connection alternative.

Someone commented (I think the person who left the poor review), that the connectors should be at the back. Of course, if you did that, then you would end up with a MUCH thicker device to carry around. While the cable does take up some space sticking out, I just use a right-angle USB-C 2 USB-C cable so you save a couple a little bit of space. If you have the monitor on a stand, then it makes no difference anyway.

Just as a extra bonus (maybe it’s mentioned). But there is also speaker built it which I found pretty cool.

Well done to Arzopa. this is a really nice budget monitor. The photo shows it on a really nice stand / tablet holder I purchased from Amazon. It was a little more expensive (30.00) but well worth it and recommended this is the one https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08L4W9C9N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Golden Review Award: 56 From Our UsersI got this to replace a raspberry pi display i had that bricked itself after a week and so far i’m impressed!

The size and resolution is more than adequate for my needs, i use it for my aida 64 sensor panel along with my water temps in my pc. The display itself is sharp and clear and colours are great you might need to fiddle with the settings a bit but mine looked good out the box! Obviously has plenty of other uses i have tried youtube etc on it and it’s very good i also plan on trying the switch to see how that is on it.

Usb-c didn’t work i have no clue why as my pc has thunderbolt but i couldn’t get it to work however the usb a to usb c cable along with the hdmi to hdmi mini cable work just fine so not really an issue for me as it won’t move from where it is. I would have gotten another proper monitor but i don’t have the space so this was a great option.

Response times seem fine the only issue i have with my unit is a very small dead pixel thankfully barely noticable unless you go looking for it, this is just something you deal with when it comes to lcd screens.

The size, build quality, picture quality etc is all great for the price i got it for! I got it a bit cheaper during a lightning deal.

Brightness isn’t crazy high but more than adequete and not something to be put off by it’s a nice clear 1080p 60hz screen that worked right away and looks great beside my pc.

Last thing is it’s not heavy i can’t speak much for the stand certainly not amazing but works if you need it however mine is just resting against my pc.

Regardless of reason for wanting one of these it’s worth the price and hopefully will stand the test of time.

    Highly recommend

    Amazing quality

Golden Review Award: 52 From Our UsersThe only USB C to C cable that seems to work is the one supplied in the box, I’ve tried all my other ones of various lengths to no avail. This is fine, but a shame as I wanted it a fair distance away from my devices.
Although I couldn’t get it to work with my PC via USB C, (Error 43 in Device Manager) it does work flawlessly with the included Mini HDMI cable, I have ordered a 5m variant so am hoping it still works.
I tested with Forza Horizon 5 and the HDR function does work well and looks great even at 1080 (I usually use 4k) so am impressed with the picture quality. Mine does suffer from some light bleed at the bottom left of the screen, which isn’t a deal breaker, but for me is a bit of a disappointment as my games are fairly dark. If I press on the bottom edge of the casing, it goes away but as soon as I lift my finger it’s back. Obviously this is going to vary from monitor to monitor and for an IPS HDR screen, even expensive ones can have light bleed.
Overall, I am happy with the purchase and impressed with the picture quality even at 1080 and still feel I had value for money!

Golden Review Award: 56 From Our UsersTo be honest I’m rather stoked about this wee monitor, 1080 native resolution, 60hz, IPS and speakers ALL powered by a usb connection? Hot damn!

I got it primarily for my raspberry pi 4 and it works very well with it! With the pi being powered by a mains plug all the monitor needs is the usb for power and the hdmi for video and sound both from the pi and it works like a charm! As I have been making a battery powered portable setup I needed to use one battery bank for the monitor and one for the pi, but this works! And it’s blooming awesome! Lol

Picture quality is spot on for 1080 resolution brightness is fine too and adjustable from the monitors osd

    Now for the niggles..

When connecting the monitor to a docked switch console, it works fine at first but if you let or put the switch to sleep it will loose the video connection and won’t fire back up when you wake the switch, but if you connect the switch directly to the monitor ( no dock ) it displays fine, so a silly little quirk there

And so far the only fix is to use my pi to display to the hdmi then go back to the switch when docked. Not a fault on the monitors part as I suspect it’s something to do with the switches docks firmware when passing the video signal throught the dock to an outside display.

There is a little touch of ghosting when playing games but it’s rather slight and dosent take away from the experience.

When it comes to using this monitor with my pi the monitor is simply awesome!

Great crisp picture, full 1080, and only needs 2 cables to function, had a great picture for watching movies , surfing the web etc

All in all a rather surprising wee monitor and considering speakers are built in it’s even handier! Ok sure the speakers ain’t too loud and don’t have a lot of body of bass to them but they do the job none the less!

Very chuffed with this monitor as it rounds of my portable battery powered setup very nicely indeed

Golden Review Award: 56 From Our UsersIt is well worth the money imo. I was not expecting toi much. I merely wanted a screen i could use on the go.
I was quite suprised at the quality. Some extreme angles are a bit washed out but i dont think it fair to say this is somehow a let down. I can see the screen at angles i have seen my expensive computer monitor toally fail at. Same with laptop.
Quite honestly im very happy with what i got here. Its bright enough, fairly loud sound, hdr works quite well etc. I dont think youre going to be blown away but nor will you feel let down
A solid item. One i would recommend whole-heartedly especially at the price i obtained it for on amazon.
Only gripe might be the folder/stand but again i dont think it would ve fair to expect any more than they provide.
I use the magnetic cover that doubles as a “lean to” stand. It does the job, hasnt slipped, hasnt moved on its own. Angle is a littlw hard to set just right but i have not needed to immediately seek some other resolution. It does work and im currently using it.
For me i feel i made the right choice. A bargain.

Golden Review Award: 58 From Our UsersI’m using this monitor with a T470 ThinkPad. It runs perfectly with just the single usb-c cable (although for my purposes I needed a longer cable and it was a little tricky finding the right one capable of providing enough data and power) The picture quality and brightness are at least as good as my laptop screen. It’s light but strongly built. I know the magnetic stand isn’t up to much, but there’s also a folding plastic stand in the box. I use my own setup with a book holder which works so well. Primarily it was bought for a series of Zoom events where I needed two screens, one for video conferencing and the other for more traditional browsing work. It has worked so well that it’s now being used in ways I never predicted. And it’s so neat and slim I can just close the cover and slot it away on the book shelf like a magazine. Honestly couldn’t be happier.

Golden Review Award: 58 From Our Usersworking in different places and having a monitor that fits into my laptop bag with my laptop is awesome and this monitor is absolutely brilliant for the price. I use it with a MacBook Pro and it gets both the power and video signal through the supplied USB-C cable. The monitor has its own cover that doubles as an adjustable angle stand and a screen protector when it needs to go into the bag. It also has mini-HDMI as well as 2 USB-C ports making it useful for plugging into things like Raspberry Pi machines around a site.

It doesn’t have a built in battery but I can run it off a normal USB battery bank very easily so I don’t need to plug it into mains for quick checks on machines. I also have an AOC portable touch screen which is more than double the price of this one and in some respects this one is better.

If I have one criticism, it’s that the fabric covering the screen cover/stand isn’t that robust and a few days into ownership I noticed a small rip on the cover but that really is a very minor criticism. For the price and my use cases, this is an absolutely awesome screen that I full recommend.

Golden Review Award: 56 From Our UsersThis was bought as I had an online training course and needed a second screen for my laptop, didn’t want a huge stand, and wanted portability. This was on a lightening deal so was a bargain. The magnetic case is different to the one in the video, but once you figure out how to use it, it’s sturdy enough. Came with all the cables you’d need as well as a stand for portrait mode, which is a nice idea but the usb port is too close to the edge, which means that you have a cable sticking out of the top of you want portrait. It’s an IPS screen, so think mobile phones from a few years back, it’s bright enough and good for document work. Hooked it up to my Nintendo switch and it works. All in all decent product and ideal if you need a second screen that’s portable

Golden Review Award: 59 From Our UsersI got this for 109 quid. So keep an eye on it for discounts. It’s very well made, and does not feel like a cheap product. Picture quality is really nice even with the default settings. The only downside I have found so far is that it has a limited set of supported lower resolutions. For example, my canon DSLR HDMI output is only 480p – this works fine with my 5″ 1080p HDMI field monitor, but though the ARZOPA detects that it is being fed a 720x480p60 signal, the output is all messed up –sort of split in two parts with lots of scan lines. To be fair nothing in the ads or spec state that it supports 480p, but if you were hoping as I was, that it could be a really nice big field monitor for a camera, do make sure your camera outputs 1080p or it may not be compatible.

Golden Review Award: 56 From Our UsersI bought this as a third office monitor (to go with two 27″ 1440p main monitors) and to for use out of the office for screen sharing where meetings may take place in more informal settings than were available in the past and to save passing my laptop between attendees, rather just the monitor.

Power – I have used a 5V USB wall plug, USB-C Display Port from a Dell Docking station, USB-C from a battery powered laptop and a Anker Power Bank as the power supply. All work equally well into the USB-C sockets on the monitor.

Inputs – USB-C and HDMI work well for both the Dock with a USB-C DP port and also a desktop with HDMI output.

Brightness – Plenty bright enough, in my well illumicated home office i run the brightness around the “30” mark, at “0” it is fairly Dim and at “100”, well fairly bright but I have yet to test it in sunlight but i expect it to be about as good as most laptop monitors.

On Screen Menu – this is again straightforward to change settings. I haven’t used the HDR mode – for office work this is not needed. its easy to change between inputs on the fly. The Brightness setting is saved between power cycles. I shut the mains off to my office overnight to save on standby power and I haven’t had to reduce the brightness of the display again yet.

Controls – the push button is a bit finicky to get it to click “in” but up and down are easy to use. it could be my lack of finger nails or my fat fingers….

Bezels – This was important to me and this seemed to have the narrowest bezels from the various vendors on amazon. the top and sides are 5mm and the bottom is about 20mm.

Case – its a flip case held on by magnets. the magnets could be stronger but it works well enough on my desk to keep the monitor facing me. It might be a problem when using in a meeting and passing between people to view but hopefully not too much.

Clarity – this is a funny one, it is replacing a FHD 1080P 14″ laptop display and it doesn’t look quite as sharp as the laptop monitor but equally it is bigger and this has helped with general viewing and readability for the given resolution. this could be due to the anti reflective coating being different between the two devices.

Golden Review Award: 57 From Our UsersGot this after watching a certain youtuber review it and got to save its great! We use it as a tv replacement in our spare room so the switch can move into there, the speakers are not that loud but adequate to play games while chilling out. Some of the supplied leads are a little short but it’s nothing we can’t replace for a few pounds.

Next on the list is an amazon fire stick to add on as well so it will become a complete entertainment unit that can be folded up when not in use. May even consider a second we like it so much!

Golden Review Award: 58 From Our UsersGreat portale monitor, fully recommend! I was looking for a small portale screen for a while, and this one has (almost) all I need:
    1. HDMI port for communicating with PC and other non-USB devices – yes, I know PC is not very portable, but I need to use the screen with different PCs in various locations, so it was important to me
    2. Full HD resolution – it should be a standard now but in this price bracket not all portable monitors are
    3. Build in speakers – maybe not cinema-like, but better than smartphone ones so ok for mobile use
    4. Thin, low-weight design, easy to carry
    5. Nice build quality and magnetic protective case that can be used as stand. On top of that, very nice feeling while opening the box, all well packed and organized, great impression.
    6. Low power consumption – you can easily power it up from a power bank on the go
What’s missing in the product? I’d say nothing, especially for the price. Maybe the VESA mount, but it’s not necessarily going with portability, or touchscreen that may be useful for some. Overall purchase was great and I’d definitely buy it again.

Golden Review Award: 58 From Our UsersThis screen is an excellent bit of kit. I have very limited space at home and also thought I could benefit from taking a second screen with me to work hence the purchase.

Screen is very clear, nice and bright and very easy to connect. Comes with every cable you will need and the packaging is super.

I have a usbc laptop and it just plugs and plays. My only concern is that I would agree with other comments about the sturdiness of the stand. I put mine in a tablet holder as it is much firmer.

Golden Review Award: 72 From Our UsersThis screen surpassed my expectations in terms of build quality of the screen itself. The design is very stylish with the screen being magnetically attachable to a case that also functions as a stand and protector for the screen when travelling.

It’s powered by USB-C (I have a USB port in my main monitor which then plugs directly into this monitor and powers it just fine) and uses a HDMI to Mini HDMI cable for visuals. The picture quality itself is great but you should keep the hdmi in cable somewhere were it won’t get knocked – I’ve found that even the slightest knock creates static on the screen which you then have to re-adjust the cable to fix (nothing too major, though).

WORD OF WARNING IF THIS IS INTENDED TO BE A SECOND MONITOR: Make sure to double check that your motherboard supports iGPU in your BIOS Chipset options. If it does not, please order yourself a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter as you will almost certainly need it if you wish to extend the monitor (and not just duplicate the main monitor screen to this one) – I made the mistake of not checking this and had to order myself a DisplayPort adapter later.

Golden Review Award: 60 From Our UsersIt’s super lightweight. The materials also feel good just like a regular monitor. It also works with my macbook pro, ipad and nintendo switch. The case material is much better than I expected. The screen quality is as good as my other 27″ 1080p monitor. And unlike the popular brand that onle has 1 usb port, this one has 2 usb c ports and hdmi port. Really lucky to have this bought during Prime day.

The only thing I can complain is that the settings seems won’t be saved. You have to modify it everytime you plug the power again but not a big deal for me.

Golden Review Award: 62 From Our UsersPicked up this monitor on Prime day and was a little bit nervous as there wasn’t any customer reviews about it online, however after setting it up (by simply plugging in the cables) I was actually quite impressed. I bought it for my Samsung S21ultra so that I could use the DeX feature as a laptop replacement when I eventually get to travel again and I’d say it is definitely fit for purpose.

To my surprise when I plugged my phone into the monitor using the supplied USBC cable, it actually powered the monitor as well which was quite welcomed. This means I can use it away from a power supply as it draws power from the phone (not that I’d do this too often but at least I have the option). When you plug the monitor into the mains, it actually charges the phone as well which is great.

The monitor is very slim and has 2 USBC connections ( I think one is only for power but I could be wrong). The display seems very bright, crisp and clear in my opinion and the sound is good to. This monitor ticked all the boxes and has enough options for my use case.

Connecting it to my PC also gave good results as well although I did need to use the supplied power connection which I guess is to be expected. Overall and at the moment I am very happy with this purchase.
