For the lower price it’s held up great so far after a summer of use. Inflation is easy, it come with everything needed to get going and had no defects. Definitely recommend

Love this long pink Board. It’s the perfect lengths for a beginner or seasoned paddleboarder. The pink color is unique and I can easily determine which one is mine. The board is well made and has the accessories needed for a day on the water. This is a great all-in-one day of fun. Surfs up!

This has been a lot of fun and extremely convenient. All the tools that were needed came in the package.

    PROS
    – Easy to carry: The best part of these blow up paddle boards is the ability to transport them easily. The bag definitely has enough size and is a good quality.
    – Easy pump: The pump is lightweight but effective. The gauge is very useful for telling when the board is ready.
    – Strong board: It takes a lot of air pressure for the board to be ready. Therefore the board has to be very strong and it definitely feels that way. It can take a bit of a beating.
    – Repair kit: I have not had to use it but the it is nice to have something like this just in case.
    – Accessories: The accessories are a nice addition. The phone cover works great but my phone case needs to be removed for the phone to fit. The strap is great so that the paddle doesn’t wander away.

I have no complaints over this board. It is convenient and durable. Transportation is not possible in cars or even a bike.

    Just as I had hoped

Comes with the box of the product; inflatable paddle board, adjustable oar, detachable wing, repair kit, carrying case, safety collar, hand pump, and user manual, waterproof phone case. Thanks to the lightweight, non-slip EVA sole, I paddled in the water without any problems. 10-15 minutes was enough to get it ready for use. It has 2 fixed wings and I was able to use it balanced thanks to the removable plug-in middle wing.

This is our second inflatable paddleboard and first from the portal brand. The paddleboard arrives in a portable (compared to other inflatable SUPs) bag that also functions as a backpack. The first thing you notice when unpacking this board is how massive it is. At 11 foot long and 30+ inches wide it easily carries an adult and we are able to fit kids on the board as well when riding.

Setup is as quick as attaching the main fin – which is removed when folding and attaches via a single thumb screw, inflating, and clipping the paddle together. Inflating this SUP via the manual inflator is a workout. This is a huge board with quite a bit of air volume due to the width, length, and thickness of the board. The board inflates to 13PSI, which is lower than our other board by about 5PSI.

The materials quality on the board are excellent. The seams are welded well and the main non-slip pad has no issues despite rolling the board up tightly for storage. The paddle is well made, easily extends for taller riders, and locks solidly when extended.

The paddleboard tracks well in the water, likely due to the large main fin, and is very maneuverable for the size. That being said, the board does feels slightly less stable than our other board, which was surprising given the dimensions, but we mostly attribute that to the difference in working pressure (13 vs 18 psi of our other board) which equates to slightly less stiffness / rigidity. Overall we are very happy with the board. It’s highly portable, well made, and a joy to ride.

I finally got a chance to take her out on the water this weekend and she was perfect! She filled up easily to 13 PSI, which was the recommended amount and it was great. She sailed smoothly and was incredibly sturdy. SO happy with this purchase! Not in love with the paddle but it worked ok. The handle kept twisting, maybe there is a way I can tighten it but if I have to purchase another paddle eventually it’s not a big deal to me. The board is GREAT for the price!

The carry bag is top quality as are all the components. But the pump is perhaps the weakest element here. It’s not terrible but you do have to be careful with it. The board holds air well though and the seams are beautifully sealed. This is overall one of the better paddle boards out there

I picked this up for my wife and thought the color was awesome.
She took one look and loved it.
This board is well made and once inflated it is sturdy.
The cargo bunnies are nice to hold a small cooler too.
I like that everything is included but I would get a electric pump.
I have many paddle boards and even the best manual pump is a workout and if you have to fill more then one board it is a must.
This is a well made board that has everything to get on the water at what I consider a reasonable price.
    I Would Buy Again.

I have an SUP all my own, but should my daughter or other family member stop by and want to spend a few hours at the lake (about a quarter mile from my house) on a hot day, then I have an SUP for them to use! I tried this one out and debated on whether to make this my board as I love the graphics/colors on this board (mine is white and blue), but in the end, this became the “guest” board. Now, I do have to say I cannot stand up on a stand up paddleboard because of inner ear/balance issues, but I love wading out and then sitting on the SUP. Paddling around while sitting is just as fun for me as it is for those who can stand up on their board. This one, like my own board, comes with all the accessories for enjoying time on the water. I did replace the hand pump with a small USB rechargeable air pump which works great to get the board pumped up fast and easy, plus my little pump is quite a bit smaller and lighter weight, so more easily packable in the carry case. This is a really nice board for yourself or like I use it, as a guest board for those who drop by and decide to spend some time at the lake with me.

Disclaimer: I haven’t actually taken this out on the water yet, but I will update once I do.

So far, the board and equipment all look to be in great shape. The instructions to unpack and inflate the SUP were very clear and easy to follow. Inflation only took a couple of minutes (although there aren’t any instructions for using the hand pump, I guess they expect that you’ll be able to figure that out).

After inflating, I stood on the board with my husband as our combined weights are just below the 300 lb limit and it seemed stable enough on the ground. I’m not sure how it will be in the water yet, of course.

Deflating also only took a few minutes, after which it was very easy to roll the board up and stow away in the provided bag. I was very pleased to find that there was enough room in the bag to store all the equipment, including the pump. The resulting weight of the bag is fairly light and portable.

As a nice bonus, one of my dogs was very interested in the SUP and immediately sat on it once it was inflated. I was happy to see him getting comfortable on it already as we plan to take the dogs out SUPing eventually. (Pictures of dog included for scale.)

Overall, this seems like a solid beginner’s inflatable SUP so far and I look forward to testing it on the water.

    Solid choice for inflatable SUP!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe’ve started to dabble in SUPs, and recently took a couple with us on a vacation to Florida. It was nice having 2, as you could go out with 2 people – useful when everyone is a beginner (and we have kids). Unfortunately, one of the 2 ended up with a hole in it by the end of our trip. Normally we’d shake it off, but my in-laws have a river house, and the SUPs are great for that environment, also. When I saw this set – with the SUP and all the needed accessories to get started, I jumped on it.
This is exactly what you would want in a SUP. It inflates well (we used an air pump we already have vs the included hand pump, BTW) and is sturdy and solid. If you’ve never experimented with these, once they’re fully inflated, you would never guess it’s not solid fiberglass or other such material. The top has a rougher surface – perfect for helping your feet (or knees, if you’re like me!) grip the top of the board. This has a back fin, which really does help with steering. I’ve used SUPs with and without, and I definitely prefer the fins.
The ankle tether is an added plus (because you really don’t want to use one of these boards without one), and the paddle is decent. The carry bag is a great plus, also. In short: this is a perfect thing to order if you want to get started with this hobby, or you want to give someone a gift that’s interested in SUPs. We’re extremely happy!

This is a nice, well made board, especially at the price point.

It comes with everything you need- including a pump, and a lanyard. All of it can be nicely packed in the included backpack style carrying bag.

Inflation is easy. The included pump works well, however if you plan to use it a lot invest in an electric pump as it makes things a LOT faster and easier.

Pretty stable on the water- It’s a great board for beginners.

This paddle board looks awesome and my son its so happy. The quality of this paddle board its great from the loops attached to board to the anti slip pad and it looks sturdy. The great thing about this is that it inflate so easy and also you don’t need a big car to get it to the beach you can just leave it in the carrier bag that its coming with and when you get to the beach bang you have a big board in minutes. We only inflated at home because the weather doesn’t help us.We cannot wait for the hot weather to give it a try on the sea.We love it and my son cannot wait.

Impressed with this inflatable paddle board. It is relatively easy to inflate – an electric inflator (not included) helps, feels tough when inflated, and floats well with a good balance. It packs up reasonably compact as well, although it is obviously still large and heavy. Great for trips to the beach or a lake and cones with all accessories like a paddle too.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a sturdy feeling SUP that, at 11.5-feet, is a foot longer than most. That and the square tail give it good stability, so you could do yoga or use it for fishing, and i found easier to balance even with a child on board with me. It holds 300-pounds.

The “Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board” from “Portal” is a full-size paddleboard that’s suitable for adults and teenagers up to 300lbs (roughly 20 stone).

First off, the paddle board comes in an easy to carry storage bag along with all of the accessories you need to get out into the water and enjoying the board. Together the whole thing weighs roughly 19lbs, so it’s not massively light (for say a small teenager to carry), but not bad.

Setting the paddle board up is much simpler than I imagined it would be. It’s inflatable and comes with a good quality pump for getting it inflated. The valve itself is a strong safety valve that won’t let any air escape.

You need to inflate the paddle board to a suitable pressure. I found around 13 – 15 PSI is about perfect. The instructions do say not to go beyond 20 PSI as it could erupt / explode. To get it to 15 PSI took me around 10 minutes of not very rigorous pumping (so to speak).

Once inflated the detachable fin can simply be slid on, the paddle slotted together and you’re pretty much ready to go! Fully inflated to a suitable PSI, the paddle board feels sturdy and easily solid enough to take a full body weight etc. It’s also still very lightweight, and not too cumbersome for carrying under and arm down to the water.

It does take a little while to find your balance and get stable on the board. Personally, I found it was best to start off sitting down on it and paddling around like that, to get a feel for the buoyancy and general movement of the board. Then I progressed to kneeling and finally, after quite some time to be honest, standing.

The quality of the paddle board is absolutely superb in my opinion. The material the board is made from is incredibly strong and sturdy and zero chance of ripping or anything. All seams on the board look to be tight and stable and unlikely to split.

All in all I’m incredibly happy with the paddle board. Comes with everything you need, and really is of a very high quality. Highly recommended.

The first thing I noticed when this arrived was how much you get in the package for your money. It is worth mentioning at this point that it arrives in a box which gives the item away, so be careful if ordering as a gift.

The package include the SUP board, pump, safety leash, bag, detachable fin, paddle and waterproof phone pouch.

It’s easy to inflate and stays rigid for for around 10-14 days. It’s quite heavy but not so much that it’s difficult to carry from the beach. The best bit is that it’s portable and you can fold it up and store/transport it in your car boot for example. Outstanding value for money and happy to recommend.

I have been fortunate enough to review a number of stand up paddle-boards (SUP’s) over time and the quality and equipment provided with them has improved over time. This board is certainly no exception. In fact this in my opinion is one of the best aesthetically I’ve had.

I have listed a summary of the Pros & Cons towards the end of this review.

Again this is a really decent board and accessories. It follows a familiar theme of boards now available in that it basically has everything for paddle-boarding in a bag. The only notable exception to others I’ve recently seen is there is no car pump adaptor. But to be fair they are very cheap to buy.

The board arrived well packaged in a very strong box.

It comes with a decent instruction manual which is comprehensive including some very good safety advice.

In the box is the Board (2 Small fins attached), I x Large removable Fin, 3 Section paddle , Two-way Pump , Repair kit, Ankle tether, Carry Bag.

The build quality again looks very good. The three-piece paddle is fairly standard but very acceptable black anodised alloy with an adjustable latch closer at the top ( turn the lever clockwise to tighten) and a ball and socket closer for the paddle end. There are adjustment marks for height it all looks decent quality.

The ankle tether, is coiled and 11 feet in length in black. It has some very decent cushioning around the ankle section and used the standard velcro fastening. It does a decent job too.

The canvass shoulder carry bag is nicely colour coordinated with pink accents to match the board, a nice touch. It is more than adequate to hold all the items securely The shoulder straps and the zippers looks decent quality also.

There’s also the fairly standard orange container with repair patch and valve tool, both useful additions.

The board itself was neatly folded and secured in a webbed strap. After inflation and deflation it folded down easily to the correct size.

The inflation pump is large and has 2 options high capacity pumping or high pressure without top cap, . It means I could start off with large capacity and as it got tougher to finish off using the high pressure option.

It has the standard pressure gauge on the top with the correct pressure zone indicated in green on the bar. (12-15 psi) When using it I found it worked really well, and it was sturdy during the inflation process.

I have an electric car tyre pump which I use with an adaptor so I was able to blow the board a certain amount first then used the pump making it easier and less effort .I normally then top the last few Psi up by hand through, so I do have to use a bit of effort. All worked well.

For those not able to use and electric car pump or similar it normally it takes a LOT of effort to inflate a paddle-board. It’s important to give yourself plenty of time I find I need to take about 3 breaks to get to the required 12-15 psi pressure. Obviously if you’re lucky enough to have an electric pump or car pump then not an issue. It takes me around 10-15 without a break or 15-20 minutes with a break.

Once inflated I had a good look at the board. It’s big, around a foot longer than the ones I’ve previously had at 11 feet 6 inches.

The deck has a really effective “honeycomb” effect finish .It gives a nice reassuring grip with bare feet was very. It also is a fairly wide deck at 32 inches, so will be very stable enough on the water, particularly for the beginner. The board has the normal lifted nose which aids paddling. It has the customary cargo lashings at the front.

Seams are very sturdy, the lashing are stainless steel and there is the normal elasticated cargo area at the front (for dry bag etc) The PVC is a really decent thickness, the downside is that it adds to the weight.

The inflation points looked strong and secure. The material has a decent thickness to it. And the board is 6 inches in depth offering decent stability. There are extra stainless steel lashings (D rings) to allow the option to strap a seat also. This one also has grab straps either end to aid pulling it onto dry land from the water. A handy addition.

This particular board can supports a weight of up to 300 lbs plus (136 kgs) which is not the highest I’ve seen but decent enough and would easily allow 2 people plus a dog if that’s your thing.

The large fin is detachable on this particular board although 3 fins will give more drag but will help stability /steering. It uses a slide in latch with thumb screw fastening. It worked very well and I actually prefer this type of attachment more than the traditional and well used lanyard and sliding spacer type.

After I inflated the board I checked the valve and seal for leaks with some water, it was fine.

Where this board stands out for me is the glossy finish in the pink , blue and grey colour scheme. It looks stunning.

As per usual I left it inflated on two trestles in my garage for three-four days to ensure there were no leaks as I know that sometimes it is possible to have an air leak around the inflation valve. It was fine no issues.

As mentioned the valve tool is provided with the kit to tighten up the valve in case that does happen.

The boards carrying handle worked ok, I always find it best to stand the board on its side with the handle away from me and then pick up. It was centrally balanced when I carried it.

I tried the provided carry-bag it worked well , everything I would need to take with me fitted easily in the bag as usual.

The shoulder straps are padded and I found them comfortable when I tried carrying it. With everything in the bag it’s fairly heavy though..

I don’t tend to use the bag in practice as I normally park the car about 300-400 meters from the beach or shore, then blow the board up on the grass/ car park the best option for me. Then just a matter of carrying it to the water.

When finished I’m also also very careful when deflating the boards after they have been used in a sandy beach as the air comes out very fast when pressing the deflate button down and it can blow any sand residue in your eyes if you’re not careful.

I would recommend beginners to find some nice calm water such as public reservoirs or water sport centres to master the art first as its nowhere as easy as it looks, (for some anyway). Even takes some lessons.

Once you’ve got the balance sorted only then consider progressing onto the sea as they can get choppy and soon tip you off. Also stay near the shore within your depth as currents can be unpredictable.

A word of warning also for the novice that if used on a flowing river I would recommend also getting a waist tether rather than using the supplied ankle one as your feet can get caught up in reeds / weeds etc and could put you in trouble.

I would always recommend wearing a life jacket, it might not look so cool but fun with safety is the important thing from my point of view.

    So in summary:

    Pros:
Virtually everything you need to paddle-board is in the kit .
Build quality looks really excellent and on a par other more expensive ones I’ve reviewed
Stunning design in pink blue & grey with a glossy finish
Thickness of the material is very good
Repair Kit & Valve tool are included
Can be stored away in the bag so not a lot of room required at home
11 feet 6 inches long and 32 inches wide (3.5 m x 0.81 metres so ideal for beginners
Put it all in the bag and chuck it in the car boot no roof rack required
Will hold up to 136 kg (300 lbs) weight
Bag is colour coordinated with the board
    Cheaper than many available
Has a standard I year warranty
    Plus helpline.

    Cons:
Inflating it is hard! Best to do a bit at a time., Better still get an electric pump with the adaptor!
Board weighs 17.8 lbs (8.05 kg). Most boards are similar weight though.
When everything is in the kit bag it heavy and a lot of weight to carry for a distance, although as mentioned it was comfortable on the shoulders when I tried it.

I can whole heartedly recommend this SUP kit, despite getting the extra size the cost is very competitive compared to other budget boards , you get a lot for your money ( 289 at the time of the review) . It is under half the price of some leading brands with similar materials and design . The finish and colour looks fabulous too.

Me and my family are quite new to paddle boarding, this comes with everything included to get started other than the usual safety items and swimwear.

Everything seemed to be well packaged, the carry bag that is included fits everything inside with a bit of room left over.

We found this very easy to pump up, the pump included works very well and this blew up much faster than our other one we have, the width and depth of this is great, it is slightly longer than our other one.

This board comes with 2 fixed fins and a removable tracking fin to help keep it nice and stable, it also has a anti slip EVA foam deck which makes it great to use with no shoes.

Overall we are very happy with this paddleboard everything included is great quality and it is perfect for any beginner that is just starting out.

This is a reasonably priced paddle board. The price is competitive when compared with similar products and a lot cheaper than a non inflatable one. The box provides everything you need to get started including the pump and a handy carry bag. It is relatively straightforward to inflate and deflate but you do just have to be patient. Paddle boarding is great fun and this board does the job well. This paddle board is perfect for occasional use and beginners as it is well priced and is easy to store, and could just be left in the boot of the car for spontaneous trips the beach.

This is a great paddle board. I’m a beginner so I wasn’t sure what to expect and how easy it would be to use. It’s really simple to set up and use. Feels very robust and sturdy. Little bit pricy but compared to other paddle boards I’d say the price seems about right.

In love with this paddle board. Instruction are easy to follow and set up was done in 10 mins or less. Very supportive in the water while kneeling. Standing up was tricky but I did manage for a few minutes. Supports me great at 110 kg and moves pretty quickly in the water. My two Friends will be ordering their own as well after seeing me whit.

Well this is a fun paddle board and no mistake.
However, truth-be-told, all the fun was had by
Mrs Wolf who is super-confident in the water
which I most certainly am not (but wish I was!)

The board inflates easily and relatively quickly
with the air pump included in the kit, which also
includes a sturdy zip carry bag; detachable fin; ankle
leash; paddle; repair kit and instructions and a
waterproof bag for your phone should you need it.

Make sure to get a floatation vest which is NOT included.

My best beloved gave the board its first test-drive at the seaside on
Sunday and didn’t seem to want to get out of the water ever again!
She appears to have mastered sitting and kneeling on it but
standing upright looks like it will need a bit more practice.

The price seems fair for what appears to be a good quality product.

    We like it.

This paddle board (the blue one) is very stylish and has a nice ethnic vibe to it with the funky design that certainly catches the eye on the beach but note it is bit more difficult to pick out in the sea. As a board it works well from the excellent pump to the slip mat and quality paddle. Inflating is easy enough and the extra width compared to others makes it a good bet for beginners or persons of weight. It comes in a sturdy bag with yellow details for added visibility and even a puncture repair kit. Had some fun getting used to this at my local watersports centre, next stop Cornwall.

This is a good sized paddle board which comes with a stand hand pump which takes about 3 mins to inflate. It is made of durable tough material and in beach ready colours. The pink is quite subtle and it is a nice design. The carry case is sturdy and there is a telescopic paddle and an extra fin that can be attached. Really easy to transport to the water.

Pleasantly surprised, great value for money and built well.
We are a active sporty family of 4 (2 adults and 2 older teenagers) we purchased x2 SUP boards last year for 499 each, I saw that this board came up for reviewing so was eager to give a cheaper board a go and add another one to our collection so we do not have to keep taking it in turns, we spent the whole of last summer on our sailing club pontoon, alternating between sailing dinghys and being out on the paddleboards on the river where we live (very tidal) When I was purchasing our original boards I did a lot of research into the different shape boards as some are better for waves and cut through any chop better whilst others are better suited for speed on smooth lakes and canals. I have only blown this up in the garden so far to check it all out and it is very similar in build quality to our other 2, this one is 1 foot longer which is great if you plan on having another person sitting on the board whilst you paddle. In a few weeks once the river has warmed up a bit we will be taking all the boards out and I will add further feedback and photos. One plus side is that this goes back into the back a lot easier than our other ones as we really struggle to get the zip done back up as its such a tight fit for the others but this was far easier which was great. We use a electric pump to blow ours up as it really isnt fun inflating multiple boards up each time.

This beginners paddle board kit is really good value for the money.
At the time of this review the price is 269.99 with a 30 off voucher so you can get this now for just under 240 and you get everything you need to start your paddle boarding experience.
Everything packs away inside its own cool looking and tough rucksack which can be worn and taken on the back or with the carry handles. The 2 way zips on it are heavy duty as well.
There is actually space inside the rucksack to store some more bits and pieces as well as a side storage pocket.
This is ideal for adults and older kids to begin their stand up paddle boarding journey.
The board is great quality and does take a little time & effort to pump up with the supplied pump but it looks quality when it’s fully inflated. You can use an electric pump if you want but it’s suggested you only inflate to around 90% then finish with the manual pump to achieve the correct pressure.
The board has 2 fixed stabilising fins and a removable tracking fin for keeping the board stable and helping to keep a better line in the water.
The board has several features including 3 strong webbing handles for moving the board around (1 at the top of the board, 1 at the bottom and another in the centre) , a bungee corded onboard storage area secured with 6 x D rings as well as 4 more D rings (for the safety leash to attach to) in the centre of the board and a further D ring near the inflation/deflation valve.
The inflation/deflation valve and screw cap looks and operates superbly with no issues attaching the pump and deflating was quick and easy. Once it’s deflated there is a strong webbing strap for keeping it rolled up and secure to make it easier to put back into the rucksack.
The board has an antislip EVA foam deck for excellent adhesion under foot.
The pump is a good size for effective pumping of the board and comes with a long enough flexible hose.
I do think that there is an issue though with the pump pressure indicator/gauge as it wasn’t registering any pressure when the board was fully inflated. This isn’t a huge issue to be honest as I know when it’s pretty much at full inflation.
The paddle oar comes in effectively 3 pieces, the paddle fin, adjustable clasped aluminium paddle body tube and fully adjustable paddle grip extending handle which can be loosened or tightened up with the clasp on the paddle body tube to give the perfect height for effective paddling.
The safety leash is perfect for attaching to the board and ankle with an adjustable velcroed ankle strap and extending leash.
This kit comes with a pvc repair kit for any punctures and they’ve also supplied a waterproof phone case as well 🙂
The design of the board is good with the nose bending slightly upwards for better movement through water.
This is an all rounder paddle board so perfect for amateurs.
The deck size is big enough and feels stable enough for beginners and the board is a decent thickness, as well as length size at 10ft 6 inches.
The detachable tracking fin is secured with a slide in pin and screw knob for extra securing and helps the board to remain straight when paddling.
The kit comes with a comprehensive set of instructions and the whole thing is covered by a 1 year warranty which can be extended by 180 days by registering your order.
    Happy days.
You can’t go wrong with a kit like this if you’re just starting out and it’s super quality, feels tough and rugged and the little extras are a nice touch such as the repair kit and waterproof mobile phone holder and its a very competitive price too.

The paddleboard is packaged well and all parts listed are included.

The board looks great. There are small aesthetic issues (pictured) however it seems no damage to the product.

Its very easy to connect the pump to the board and inflate using a simple twist and lock system. The pump has two modes, one to prioritise ease and one for time which is an amazing feature. There is recommended pressure info printed onto the design of the board which is handy. I left the paddleboard inflated for at least 24 hours (as recommended) and the pressure held very well with no loss.

The paddleboard feels very safe, robust and the textured padding brings a lot of comfort if you paddleboard barefoot.

The paddle itself connects together easily and has a large area of customisation to adapt for different heights or if you choose to sit or stand. The additional fin is very easy to install and take off, as is the ankle harness. The ankle harness has a lot of padding so it doesn’t feel uncomfortable to wear.

Product is incredibly lightweight which is great for carrying the paddleboard to and from the water. Product deflates very easily and can be further deflated by using the deflate feature on the pump. Once deflated and rolled up, the product is simply secured by a harness included which makes it very easy to place in the bag with all accessories and items. The product does include a puncture kit and waterproof phone case which I think is a nice bonus.

Great buy for a starter/beginner looking to get into paddleboarding!

I have had previously issues with the paddleboards, like paddle breaking and valve “explosion”, but this one seems to be ok and safe to use so far at least. The set provides all the basics needed, easy to inflate and use, all as described, sturdy paddleboard. I will update my review if anything goes wrong.

It is at reasonable weight @ about 14kg, and all fitted into then included backpack.
Set up is quite easy and took about 20-25mins.
    – pump out, unrolled the board, inflate to the green line ( about 11-15lbs ) , fin in, paddle set up, ankle strap in – now the Sun.
Quality wise, very strong and robust.
Price wise, very reasonable@ below 240 with voucher.

++Please note that you will require license to use paddle on canal or river, do the with the relevant council/trusts.

Very good quality paddle board with a range of accessories, including a pump.
It always surprises me how firm these boards become when inflated.
One always imagines they will be like a pool toy, but nothing like that at all!

Once inflated it is firm and sturdy and took a lot of thrashing about in the choppy sea last weekend. I think my grandson is potty for going in this time of year but he doesn’t seem to notice the cold!

The board is non slip and a good size for an adult.

A great kit for enthusiasts and beginners alike

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis Portal paddleboard is the 4th I have owned, and the 2nd I have reviewed on Amazon. I have never heard of Portal as a brand, so I was keen to see what they had to offer for the current price of 289.99.

Other than safety gear and appropriate swim attire, you get everything you need in the package. On taking it out of the packaging, I note that this Portal board doesn’t have foam packaging protesters for the board fins, which is a shame, this is usually seen as standard, and helps to a) prevent damage, but also b) the fins can dig into your back if you haven’t rolled it up the right way in the carry bag. The carry bag is a good size, and not only is there space for all the board, paddle, pump etc., but I found I had space to also get my shortie wetsuit in. However, beyond that, I would struggle to get much more in the bag, again, a minor issue as other paddleboard bags I own, I tend to get quite a lot more in (such as towels, full-size wet suit, buoyancy aid etc.)

The pump is brilliant, I have had other paddleboards with pumps that take an age to blow up the board. The screw-lock value works perfectly (the other board I reviewed for Amazon didn’t lock very well). However, the pump gauge doesn’t work, so I was unsure what PSI I had pumped too, but being experienced in board use, I knew how rigid I needed to pump to. When inflated the board is pretty much a standard width and depth, and ever so slightly longer than others that I have owned. The paddle is easy to adjust in length and locks in place perfectly.

The fins are a little on the smaller side for a beginner’s board, but not so small that they are ineffective. The surface of the board is nicely textured, so great if you are barefooted or wearing wetsuit socks. There is some webbing and d-rings to strap a few items too.

So whilst there are a few very minor issues, overall the board is very good, and I can therefore recommend this to you.

Just a couple of minor issues, but otherwise a great paddle board

I was interested in paddleboarding for a bit and as I got the opportunity to get this board and try it out I was really happy. This board are perfect for beginners as it does not cost too much and will meet all the needs of a beginner.
It comes packed in a travel bag which is really big. And can be carried as a backpack as well. Which I really like, as it was way more comfortable to carry around all the accessories pump etc in one place. As well you get a few things which are very useful such as a repair kit and a phone waterproof bag.
It takes a bit of time to inflate the board with the pump but it’s not too bad and aids as a warm-up before going for a swim.
After it’s fully inflated it feels solid and I had no issues using it even with me being a bit heavier. As well it has a few handles from the side and in front which makes carrying the board easier. Especially if you need to help someone to carry it.
Overall it’s the perfect board for beginners and it’s really fun to swim around with it plus its exercise and you spend time in the fresh air.

This paddleboard comes with everything you need including a stirrup pump, repair kit, adjustable paddle, ankle strap and even a waterproof phone case. It all packs up neatly into the supplied carry bag that has two shoulder straps so you can wear it like a backpack, and you will need to if carrying it for any distance as it is quite heavy.

The pump has two fixtures for the flexible pipe to attach, one for inflating and the other for deflating, so you need to make sure you have it attached to the correct side. It also has a plug that twists in and out. When the plug is in place the pump inflates with both the push and pull of the handle. This is fine at the start of inflation but becomes more difficult as the pressure increases in the board. This is when you remove the plug to inflate only with the push down.

Once inflated to around 12 to 15psi it is surprising how stiff the board is. It can easily take the weight of an adult. All that needs to be done is to attach the fin to the underside by sliding it into the grooved plastic that is welded to the board and lock it in place with the locking tab.

The board has netting on the front so you can take a waterproof bag with you. It also has carry handles to make it easier to carry the board in and out of the water.

This paddleboard is certainly up there with the better ones that are available.

Paddleboarding has always been a fun and awkward endeavour, the paddleboards are always huge making them hard to transport. However, this kit from Portal has changed the ball game, this kit is an inflatable.
Don’t confuse this inflatable with those small dinghies, once inflated, this paddleboard feels solid and your friends will non the wiser if you hadn’t told them already. This board comes with all the necessary accessories to make paddleboarding fun i.e paddle, detachable fin and an ankle safety leash. It even comes with a pump to inflate the board. But the beauty of this kit is that everything packs into a carry bag measuring 16″ x 8″ x 34.5″.
Now, paddleboarding is as convenient as ever. Wonderful kit, very good quality indeed.

I really wasn’t sure what to expect with these, I’d seen a lot of people out on them in Windermere and always wanted to give it a try, but like a lot of sports and activities the initial entry fee is pretty high to get into it.

The board arrived with a range of accessories making it a complete starter kit, the only thing I’ve had to purchase is a vest. The board feels good quality, and I was shocked at how firm it became when inflated. The board is light weight and because it’s inflatable it’s very easy to transport. The board is larger than I expected and there is plenty of room for an adult to sit/stand and manoeuvre around the board (there are also fastening straps for your pack/gear).

They might not be the most expensive boards out there but as a starting point they are fantastic value and I’d highly recommend them (we got the blue and pink so we can go out together).

Brilliant board! I was finally able to take this out last weekend and it fared brilliantly against the beach waves. I’m very new to paddle boarding but this kit came with all you needed and more. I used a little automatic pump to do most of the work and then finished it off with the included hand-pump which was as simple as it was a workout to accomplish. After it was blown up, it was easy to carry down to the ocean and surprisingly light-weight yet sturdy. I couldn’t get it up to the 13-15psi it said to pump it up to but at around 9psi, it was already rock-solid.
I was able to use it for a couple of hours before eventually the beach started to get much busier than it originally was that morning and I quickly grew tired of practicing, deciding to head home. It fared well against the water and had no leaks at all throughout, however, a puncture repair kit was also included with instructions just in case.
Deflating, once it had been washed down and dried, was just as simple as inflating though much easier on the arms. It rolls up nicely and can easily be stored away in the included back-pack style bag that it comes in with straps on the side for the pumps too.
Very pleased with this board, would definitely recommend it to beginners like myself, and I can’t wait to take it out again!

This board bundle has absolutely everything you need to start paddling.
We were new to the activity, but had experience in water sports, and you can tell straight away that this is a very well-made, premium, and well thought out product.
The board is strong, so don’t worry about constant punctures in the water. The non-slip coating on it is also pretty good! Even when we got it wet, it still did the job.
It isn’t hard to get going either (as you already have everything you need) – just use the included pump and you’re away. The fin is very easy to install, and really the whole thing can be in the water in minutes.

The board itself is sturdy, definitely isn’t cheap, and looks great too with the colouring and design.
We’ve had absolutely no issues whatsoever on the water, and it’s actually done better than more expensive alternatives that our friends have had in the past.
The width helps you balance easily, and it copes well in the water. We took it to the Lake District, UK, and it was fantastic on the lakes.

The packing up procedure is really brilliant. It makes everything so easy. The board just rolls up and goes straight back into the bag that it comes with. The paddle is carbon fibre and easily shrinks down into the bag. The overall experience is really great from start to end.

I’d totally recommend this board, even if you’re new to all of this, as it has served us very well.
Check the colour you receive on the box (it’s printed on the exterior), as ours was mixed up slightly I think. Nonetheless, ours is dark blue and is lovely. It’s certainly good value for money when compared to others, in my opinion. You can literally take this board anywhere since it’s so portable once packed up – it’s a no brainer!

When I saw that this was inflatable I thought that it was going to be akin to a lilo, haha…but it’s nothing like that. It’s solid and heavy.

I also thought that it may be more wobbly than a solid board. I was wrong! Apparently the inflatable boards are MORE stable and easier for learners to get their balance. I’m afraid I don’t actually have anything to compare this to, as it was my first time paddle boarding, but I found it quite easy to get going but I do have good balance and I was in a private lake, so the water was a lot more still than somewhere wilder.

It’s easy to set up once you’ve hauled it to your destination (took me approx 15 minutes). I say “hauled” because it is VERY heavy and bulky to carry any distance, though the straps on the bag do help as you can wear it like a massive backpack.

I am lucky that where I went paddle boarding, the lake is right next to where you park. You need to consider this as you won’t want to/be able to carry it long distances, due to size and weight.

The sturdy bag makes it more convenient to carry, but nothing can take away from the substantial weight. Wouldn’t be great if you wanted to paddle board at a beach where you have to park far away and walk down and back up a long hill, for example. Although inflating it then carrying it may be an option.

Storage-wise, it would be most convenient to store in a cupboard, under a bed or in a garage to save yourself lifting it much. Sadly we only have the option for our loft, since all our house storage is currently quite full from running a home business. Lifting it into a loft is difficult, because our hatch has a built in ladder so we have to have one person in the loft, lift the ladder in, and then pass the bag up (not easy). I wouldn’t want to do this often.

I don’t intend to use this in the winter, so I might try to free up some space in the house, or otherwise keep it in the car for a couple of months over the summer when I’m most likely to go more often.

Like I said, I can’t compare this to other paddle boards, but it seems like great quality. Paddle boarding is a good fun activity that I’m lucky enough to be able to do in various different locations where I live (though I will stick to the private lake until I feel more confident).

I am privileged to live in an area when there are many, many lakes and when it comes to fun on the water their nothing better than something like a paddle board if, like me, you just can’t afford to buy a boat.
This saddle board is an inflatable one which may sound like it will burst when it is confronted by a sharp piece of a twig floating in the lake but it’s much stronger than you’d think. It has several sections inside the board which keep this strong whilst allowing it to be rolled up and stuffed into the bag it comes in.
This is 11ft 6″ long, 2 ft 6″ wide and 6″ deep, which makes this easy to stay stood on even across the water. Especially as the top has a non-slip coating on which stands its ground even when wet.
It takes a minute or two of hand pumping to get this inflated, with the dial on the pump letting you know how much air’s inside the board. Once inflated you slide the fin on the bottom, attach the lifeline to your ankle or wrist and the other end to the board and you’re ready to go.
In the water this floats exceptionally well, even when you’re on it, and it’s width helps you balance well on the board. The paddle is a good length, and can be adjusted to suit most people, with the flat end wide enough to help push you along in the water whilst the other end has a ‘T’ like end which helps you grip the paddle better.
When you’re on the water you need to be confident with the things keeping you out of the water and I feel pretty confident when paddling with this.
Once you’ve finished paddling then this simply deflates and rolls up, ready to be put back into the rucksack bag and taken with you.
You get more than the inflatable board though, you get a collapsible paddle which is made of carbon fibre and extends to fit most sized people. A hand pump which can blow this board un in minutes. A detachable fin which slots into the base. You also get a waterproof bag for your phone and it all stuffs easily into the large bag which comes with it.

The one thing I have to say is that I ticked the box for a dark-blue colour board but I received a pink board and bag which was a bit different. It states on the box what colour board is inside so check the colour on the box before opening so you know you’ve got the colour you wanted.
But as I said, this is about the board itself, and this board is brilliant.
In all, if you like floating about on the water without the real expenses then this is well worth looking at. It may seem a little pricy but if you’re into this sort of thing then it’s money well spent.

All the fun on the water without the need to hire a van to carry it all.

Portal SUP Inflatable Paddle Board: This is definitely not my area of expertise the thought of standing up on an inflatable object and paddling along on the water fills me with dread but even I can get excited looking at this paddle board kit.

It’s pure quality, extremely sturdy once inflated and offers amazing grip and it comes with all of the necessary components to get you out on the water. This isn’t lightweight by any means, however it packs up well into the provided backpack which definitely makes this easy transportable, it’ll fit neatly into the car, and can be carried reasonably comfortably on the back.

Having done a few rental SUP paddle board sessions, the kids were overwhelmed with this and “required” to be taken to the beach immediately. They managed to get this set up quickly and with very little assistance and spent the next couple of hours thoroughly enjoying it.

I can’t provide any technical recommendations but this is a significant piece of kit, it’s extremely well made, portable and safe. It’s not cheap, at 269.99 (at time of review), but would make a great “special ” present if you’re in the market and is definitely reasonably within the price range for such a good quality product. The kids definitely recommend this.

I do enjoy paddle boarding although I spend more time in the water than on the board! I have only used solid boards so I was interested in trying this inflatable one. It is heavier than I expected so I would not want to walk too far with it. It is very quick and easy to inflate the board and it feels very sturdy when it’s inflated. It does work very well and I enjoyed using it. You receive a useful selection of accessories with the board.

Really good quality board, sturdy and easy to balance on. The whole set has been good having the carry bag, pump etc. Much thicker than my other one. Good size for beginners on a smooth surface, can get upright more easily due to the stability. Easy to inflate and surprisingly easy to deflate and roll away with its wrap around backpack provided. So easy to store and take to beach. We got this as a family to start paddle boarding on the Easter holiday. It’s a great starter kit. Wide enough for 1 adult and small child sat on the front. Had lots of fun using paddle board. Can’t wait to play with next holiday.

I like the design on this board so looking forward to getting it out on the water when the weather warms up.

I live close to the sea on the North Wales coast, I have paddle boarded a couple of times via one of the higher shops on the prom, which have been from what I can tell solid boards, I need to point out I’m pretty rubbish at it, but do enjoy it.

I used the one that you can buy from the supermarkets a while ago, a friend has one, it’s perfectly okay, but comparing it to this its smaller and not as good quality wise.

The boards receive are inflatable, they come with everything you need, pump, fin, paddle, you’ll just need a wetsuit and life vest

The quality of the board is excellent, when pumped full it feels and looks like a solid hard board, but the great thing is I can pop this in the car and take it anywhere, there’s a beach 10 miles from me which when calm is like a millpond, and only a short paddle to Puffin Island, I can take this in the back of the car, really looking forward to my next trip.

All the parts are super quality, and a good storage bag to keep the board clean and safe.

A great board, really impressed, great fun board, a great fun hobby.

From the size to the number of cords for storage to the large list of accessories included in the package to its solid build and great look !
I only took it out today as of Easter bank holiday and already have had so many compliments from lots of people and trust me, we know about boards around here.
I’ve used it in reasonable weather condition ,just a bit of wind.
I used it as a freediving platform and also to launch, recover and carry my fish cage on it. Done fishing from this board, filming and photography and chilling out.
So so so worth the money, for that size and accessories you will not find a better deal.
I found it easy to inflate. It feels sturdy and not too heavy to carry to the water. However I wouldn’t want to carry far though 🙂
I was happy upon receiving this board as I could replace a kayak that I didn’t use much because it was awkward to transport. The paddle board is a great replacement as I can just throw it in the car and leave.(pump it up when I arrive) so pretty simple and fast too. The kit that comes with it is ok for a novice (me) and is good quality. I inflated it in my hallway as soon as I received it to the specified pressure, and left it for 36 hours and the pressure didn’t drop at all. Very pleased so far.

It’s a bit weighty but it’s compact. The box has everything you need apart from a wet suit like the pump, paddle and fins. My family and I needed an extra board because it’s so much fun.Fantastic at strengthening up your core muscles.
It’s ideal to take on a lake or at the beach as long as it’s not too choppy the water. If you’re not a good swimmer please use a life vest and if children use this please supervise.

If you are considering getting this, DO IT!!! It’s so amazing and I promise you won’t regret it. The only thing I might suggest is also getting an electric pump, as it’s very hard to pump up to 15 PSI by hand.

    UPDATE ONE YEAR LATER:
Still an amazing paddle board! I love this so so much and I haven’t had any punctures or errors happen. I would still recommend this greatly. Maybe get it with a nice electric pump, but otherwise, it’s amazing!

    BEST PADDLE BOARD!!!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis paddle board works well in the few times I have used it. The board feels to be of good quality and holds up air well. I have not experienced any leaking at this point. It also comes with plenty of accessories in the package. The hand pump is a good add-on, so I don’t have to buy a separate pump. It does the job. The cover bag it comes has a generous size. This is great as it gives more room and tolerance when packing the board. It also comes with a repair kit which I have yet to use. It is comforting knowing a repair kit is available when needed.

The board itself floats well on the lake. The board’s width is a bit on the narrow side, and it also means less resistance during paddling. Overall, I think it is a great recreational board. It serves its purpose well and is a great board for anyone to start paddleboarding.

Golden Review Award: 31 From Our UsersTook a gamble buying this but it’s completely worth it!

10 minute setup time. Comes with everything needed and folds up into a small duffle/backpack (included).

Inflates and is very rigid, absolutely no issues floating and held my husband~ 200lbs plus two kids.

Takedown is a breeze, rolls up and fits into the provided bag with all accessories. An incredible alternative to other options out there.

    Compact, well worth it!
