With the Gigaset E560, you can set the volume at five stages, plus you can quickly double the volume simply by pressing the “extra loud” key on the side of the handset. This uncomplicated way of controlling volume is always useful when you have to react quickly to changes in surrounding sounds or when two people with different hearing abilities live in one household.

You can store particularly important telephone numbers on the four quick-dial keys and then dial them at the press of a button. Quick-dial key A also serves as a special emergency call key and can be configured with an SOS function. You can store up to four SOS numbers on this key at the same time, for example, the telephone numbers of relatives or neighbours.
How the emergency call function works:
1. When you activate the SOS function (quick-dial key A), all four stored telephone numbers are called in succession. They are dialled up to three times in a row – until someone picks up.
2. When the called party picks up, he or she hears an emergency call message; either a preset message or a message you have recorded (with E560A only).
3. The called party can then speak personally with you by pressing the 5 key.
- Clear light signals: A white flashing light from the top edge of the cordless telephone signals an incoming call. This additional visual LED signal serves as a nice feature, in addition to the ring tone or when you have turned down the telephone. It can also be used as a torch.
- Baby monitor mode: Thanks to this function, you can very easily monitor rooms. When noise exceeds a certain threshold, a call can be initiated internally to the other handsets or externally. In the baby monitor mode, incoming telephone calls are signalled only visually on the display, that is, without the ring tone.
- Adjustable volume: By pressing the keys on the side of the handset, you can set the volume in five stages and also double the volume to “extra loud” in seconds.
Radiation-free thanks to ECO DECT.
Like all Gigaset cordless telephones, the Gigaset E560 series is equipped with the ECO DECT technology. This means that the telephones are radiation-free in standby mode, even if several handsets are used, as long as the base station and all registered handsets also support ECO DECT. During a telephone conversation, the transmitting power is automatically adjusted to the distance between the base station and the handset. The shorter the distance to the base station, the lower the radiation. For the maximum DECT range, the ECO DECT mode can be deactivated at any time.

Its a good phone but it really does need at least one loud ring tone for older ears.
Easy to store telephone numbers. Can leave phone on table and get on whilst waiting for contact the other end. Clear numbers for dialling.
The phone was sold as used very good.it was not stated that there were no batteries or user manual. The phone was dirty with dirt clearly seen between the joint cracks. This is the first poor quality used product I have had. Please check the quality and discription is accurately stated.
Brought for my 77 year old father. He managed to set and use by himself. With only a little confusion which is great for him. He is pleased with the sound quality and the large buttons
A nice set of phones for us older people the screen is easy to read unlike the instructions which I found difficult to understand, the registration of the phones to several attempts over the two days since receiving the phone set.
It provides all the modern functions we required especially to protect from nuisance calls. The functionality is great and we are really pleased with the system and the main phone links to the upstairs phone automatically.
So easy to set up and use. Sound quality good. Would recommend.

I love this, I had NO issues with setting up this little beauty, it does exactly what it says on the tin haha, I’d recommend this to anyone older or elderly or who is vision impaired!!
I tried to buy the same as the one I had, but when it came the numbers were much bigger and back lit so I could easily see them. This was a great improvement on my previous model.

Clear robust buttons make the phone easy to use
I have used a pair of Gigaset handsets for several years to connect to my VOIP and Landline numbers. They were OK but the displays weren’t very good, they didn’t sit in their charging cradles very well, and the battery life was dire (less that a day on standby) even having replaced the batteries.
The E560A addresses all of these issues. The display is bright and very clear, the battery lasts for days without charging, and the handset sits in the cradle very securely. The answering service works fine for the landline (I use an online service for the VOIP number. Setup was easy until I came to connecting the unit to my VOIP Gateway which I couldn’t figure out. An email to Gigaset’s support team was answered within a few hours and I got everything up and running quickly. Great to know that support is there if you need it.
Best handset bought as it helps with my hearing aid. Loudspeaker also and advantage to people with hearing difficulties.

Bought this for my elderly mother who is partially sighted and hard of hearing. She could use this OK and the volume was good but she fiddles with her fingers on the buttons (which she denies) when on the phone and ended up locking the phone more than once and she can’t see that has locked it so had stopped using it and gone back to her old phone. But it was better for her while it lasted.
I purchased this phone to replace a much older system used by volunteers at a National Coastwatch Station. The main criteria I used when selecting this phone were: Big buttons, easy to use & clear sound. All were met. Typically, for a system of this quality and price point, the phone will do a great deal more than we ask of it. This meant the initial set up took some time. However, the excellent manual was a great help
