I am a very restless sleeper and between my apnea and RLS, getting quality sleep was seemingly hit or miss. I ordered this blanket as it has been a trend my friends have done and after the first few nights i can totally see why. This thing is a rock, its weight totally sticks you to the bed and takes some effort moving around underneath. That may not seem too appealing to some but if you have restless sleep tendencies like I do, I highly recommend investing in a weighted blanket.
The interchangeable covers are great as my room gets pretty hot and stuffy in the summer, but so far the cool cover works great and doesn’t overheat my body. The few nights I used the fleece was great as well; its very soft.
Changing covers isn’t as hard as it seems either. I turned the new cover inside out and connected the buttons as I brought it over the blanket itself and that seemed to work fine. This thing is HEAVY though so theres a chance you’ll break a sweat trying to lug this thing around. I just keep mine on my bed as it is quite a bit of work hoisting it up and taking it elsewhere.
My only complaint would be I’ve become dependent on my weighted blanket. I slept over at a friends and it took me a good 45 minutes to settle in without the familiar pressure.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo far: Trying to be as thorough as I can, because longer reviews helped answer my questions and helped me make this great decision!!

So I had to hop on here and share the good news! After ONE night, I LOVE this blanket! I got the biggest sized, grey (I guess King) blanket. It hangs down pretty low on my full sized bed, so I’d say it would probably fit a queen just right. As far as a king mattress (especially the taller ones), I can’t vouch for that, especially if you’re sharing the blanket with a partner.

As far as weight goes, I am 185 lbs and the blanket I bought is 20 lbs. When I first got under it, it felt a little heavy on my chest, I got a little worried and thought maybe I should’ve got the 15 lb blanket.
Mostly because I can be a back or side sleeper, but typically a side sleeper. But I decided to be patient because other reviews said it takes time to adjust to it.

Well let me tell you, it took a whole 30 minutes and I was in Heaven! I rolled over to my side and felt the amazing sensation of a “warm hug.” I live in the south, so a hot blanket doesn’t sound appealing at all. We keep our house at 67′ F at night and I have a few fans on in my room and I had no issues with overheating. I also have a memory foam mattress topper on my bed and a comforter and I didn’t find it to be too warm. It was a tad warm, but not uncomfortable.

I have yet to find any loose, glass beads rolling around either. Haven’t washed it yet, but I plan on washing it gently and as instructed by the manufacturer. The color seems to be as true as the picture and could definitely be used as the main cover on the bed with regular sheets underneath.

I set mine up with jersey t-shirt sheets, weighted blanket, and soon to come a new quilt/coverlet.

I tend to have more anxiety/depression in the evenings and right before I sleep, and this really made me feel safe and relaxed. And to those of you that struggle with that as well, you can appreciate anything that helps enhance your quality of life on a day to day basis.

I had looked into this before, but held back because I worried about being hot and paying a little more money than I’d like, but it’s SO worth having a better night’s sleep. A good night’s sleep is truly so so important because it really improves productivity, happiness, appetite, energy, etc.

And I took a LOT of time to comb through the good and bad reviews, and the good ones definitely outweighed the bad! So so happy with my decision, just hoping it continues to enhance my nights!

So if you’re in doubt, like I was, don’t be this blanket is DEFINITELY worth a try!

A MUST HAVE! Or Definitely Worth a Try!!

I am absolutely in love with this blanket. I researched many types of blankets and finally landed on this one for a few reasons:
    – the cost (it’s much more affordable than others I saw)
-the soft cover (I loved that the cover is removable for an easier wash, and it’s SO soft!)
    – because of the cost I was able to get a bigger, heavier blanket and it still be affordable.

I sleep so much better with this blanket- the weight helps with restless legs and getting comfortable, anxiety, and better sleep throughout the night too (before this I would wake up several times each night. I still wake up sometimes but it is not nearly as much as before). It also comes in a nice bag that can be kept and carried if you need to travel with it…I kept the bag for when I moved and it fit right back into the bag too! (sometimes you can’t shove them back in to save your life, lol)

The only somewhat negative aspect I would mention is that after a while, the blanket kind of moves inside of the cover so the weight distribution isn’t as great as when I got it. I’m sure it’s an easy fix but I just haven’t tried to fix that yet.

Other than that, I have nothing but good things to say about this blanket. I’m so thankful I invested in it. I would definitely recommend this, and have already!

Simply put, this is a very nice weighted blanket. Good for anxiety and people who have trouble sleeping.

One thing to keep in mind is that this blanket is, well, weighted. It is heavy, as it is a weighted blanket. That being said, please keep this away from any sharp corners, as the weight of the blanket itself will cause it to get snagged and possibly rip. Also, the weight is evenly distributed when spread out. Not doing so will make you end up with the weight of a small child concentrated on your chest. All of this is not the fault of the product, but simply people misunderstanding how gravity and mass work.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the weighted inner padding is actually very thicc, and as such, it’s really good at keeping the heat in, and also somewhat works as soundproofing as a result (when used for a blanket fort). It actually might be a bit too good at keeping the heat in, as eventually, it does get quite hot under the covers when it’s about 70 F outside. As a final warning, please be wary of flatulence with this blanket, as any passing wind will become trapped for seven days and seven nights.

All things considered, this blanket is a must-have for late nights on the couch or just to use as a better blanket for the bed. 11/10, hands down, regular throw blankets eat your heart out.

Okay. I love the s*** outta this thing. Worth every penny. Unfortunately it made me realize my matteres needs to go sooner than latter because the added weight presses me against it’s shi*tyness. But also, the extra weight has done its job for helping me sleep a full sleep cycle. On a darker note, I forgot how horrible my dreams are and I might need a therapist. Yellow is my absolute FAVORITE color. I was low key scared it’d look more off white than yellow, but it’s actually just a soft yellow and it literally brings me joy just by looking at it. As you can see, my pup enjoys it too, i have two shepherds. And a long haired kitten named Cat. Another cool thing about this blanket? Hair literally never sticks to it. But like, I’m sure if you tried with supoer glue or somthing it would….but that’s not the point. I got the 20 lbs one cause I’m depressed and have been eating my feelings, and I’m very happy I did. But if anyone reads this and isn’t as depressed as me, I feel like if it was 5lbs less it would be perfectly fine too.
I’m used to buying comforters from Ross for $36 but I feel like in the long run? If my animlas don’t piddle on it or it gets stolen cause it’s so awesome, it’ll save me money for awhile. Though I am kinda nervous about trying to put the blanket back in the cover… and as I typed this I unzipped it to look at the actual blanket and did notice a few beads free roaming. Possible leak after only two weeks. But high hopes.

    It's yellow and pretty

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLol, it’s asking me about “lightweight”! For a 20lb weighted blanket, there’s nothing ‘light’ about it!
After my daughter received a 12lb Quility weighted blanket for Christmas this past year, and couldn’t sleep without it, I had to have one. We both suffer from anxiety and nightmares. Her blanket has brought her so much comfort and joy!
However, the materials don’t overheat the body, the blanket lays across my body in such a way that during the night when I toss and turn, it doesn’t slide off of my body or bed. Regular quilts slide off one side of the bed for me. This blanket has been so amazing. I never want to go back to a regular blanket or quilt again. EVER. I have been sleeping so much better at night, and haven’t tossed or turned as much either. I haven’t had a nightmare since I’ve started using this blanket. It is the most comfortable blanket ever. Even my cat prefers it over other blankets. It’s heavy enough that I do struggle to carry it to the couch when I want to snuggle up in front of the tv, and I struggle to get it back on the bed straight, but oh so worth the small struggles.

I put off getting a weighted blanket for years, not sure if it was all hype, even though two of my friends with RLS and anxiety swore by theirs. Read all the reviews and decided to try this one finally. I’ve had it for about 6 months now, and IT.IS.AWESOME. It’s the 20 lb Queen size navy blue/gray version; I’m around 170 lbs and the 15 lb one probably would be good too, but I really like the heavier weight. It’s so soft, the little bumps on one side are soothing to touch, and the weight is perfectly distributed, staying in place well. It is like sliding into heaven when I get into bed for night time or the rare nap opportunity. I fall asleep faster, sleep deeper, and feel calmer. I’ve taken the outer cover off to wash it, it’s super easy to put it back on afterwards. All four of my kids love coming to my bed to read or watch movies, snuggling under my weighted blanket, including my teen son. I ended up having to buy a 10 lb one for my daughter who has significant mood swings; she self soothes under her blanket and sleeps better with hers, too. Heck, even my dog loves to come and burrow under this blanket, especially during thunderstorms. I think he knows it’s a calming device. I’ve recommended this exact blanket to many friends and would buy from them any time for sure!

It was so very helpful to have the “blanket weight guideline” so you know how heavy or light to go depending on the weight of the person.

Well, my husband 1st bought this weighted blanket for himself last year and he CAN’T STOP BRAGGING ON IT!!! He has difficulty sleeping and this blanket has helped him get a little more sleep. I don’t use the blanket because I’m always hot and this blanket helps keep in your body heat under the covers. I actually bought one for my 21-yr-young daughter in December 2019 since she has difficulty sleeping as well, and she also loves it!!!

Although I don’t use this blanket, I absolutely LOVE how soft the cover feels and how easily the cover comes off to clean it. When replacing the cover, just make sure to match up the inside weighted blanket with the inside cover of the weighted blanket as the length and width are different sizes. I used the tags that were already on the inside weighted blanket and outside cover of the blanket. The blanket can get quite heavy moving it around to tie up these little suckers. Please DO NOT get discourage about this because it is SO WORTH being able to actually wash your bedding. Some other weighted blankets don’t give you that option. Oh my goodness, did I mention how SOFT the cover is and how easy it is to wash? LOL

If I have to purchase another weighted blanket again, it will ABSOLUTELY BE THIS ONE! Thank you – thank you – thank you!!!

After four-ish months of near daily use of this blanket I can say it has helped me sleep better. The weight keeps my legs from shaking and definitely helps calm the nighttime anxiety of high school. I’ve washed it once so far and the blanket was relatively easy to slip back in the cover and tie in. There are a couple things keeping me from giving five stars though. First off, I couldn’t find the right weight and size for my bed and body. I considered a larger, heavier blanket but it wouldn’t make sense to have extra weight spilling off the bed. I should also note that if I pull the blanket to cover my chest my feet stick out from the twin blanket. A couple inches in length and a heavier weight would be easy fixes that I hope the company implements. My second and last critique is the ties for the cover. There are six to keep the blanket from sliding around but I still notice the actual weighted part tends to slip to one side. The weight also tugs on the knots and sometimes pulls them loose so a corner is just flopping around. I would recommend more places to tie the blanket down, just to really make sure it stays in place, even if one tie slips.
All in all this is a very nice blanket, the cover is soft and it does what it’s intended to do.

***I just want to add that there were a couple weeks where I’d wake up sore and with back pain. This could be unrelated to the blanket though.
I’m also a 15 year old girl writing from my dad’s account if that matters.

I bought the 60″x80″ 15 lb. blanket. This blanket is amazing, and definitely helped me sleep through the night, much longer than I usually do. I was a bit worried about the heavier weight because I’m only 138 lbs., but I wanted to be able to share it with my partner if he is over. I have slept alone with it, and the weight was perfectly fine, especially because it is dispersed over a pretty large area. I will confirm that the full size blanket (60″ x 80″) is pretty much the exact size of my full-size mattress; it does not hang over the edges, so it couldn’t really be used as the comforter. I put mine on top of my comforter, and I wasn’t too hot.

The construction of the blanket inside the duvet seems pretty good; I did not notice any leakage of beads when I looked inside the duvet. The duvet is super nice and soft, so I imagine I’ll leave that on most of the time. I purchased the patterned duvet, and it looks really nice. The pattern color is hard to see in the picture on Amazon; in person, it looks like a neutral tan-gray, and the textured side is gray.

Overall, I really like this product and would recommend it. I’m looking forward to many more nights of good sleep with this weighted blanket.

I bought this mainly for my wife but it goes on our king size bed. We both like it overall but do have some major gripes with the product.

The first problem is the weight. I went to their website to figure out which weight to get. We are both in the same weight category and got the 20 pound blanket per their advice. I heard some people say they cannot lift their blankets off them to get out of bed and that made me afraid of going up in weight. That said I feel like I have slept under quilts that provide more pressure than this blanket. I 100% would have been happier going up a weight class for this blanket.

The second gripe is the temperature of this blanket. I heard people say that it’s not that warm which is one reason why I got it. For me to be comfortable under this blanket I need to have our room at least 5 degrees colder than with our other blanket. Most nights it ends up off of both of us because it is just too hot. Maybe if you don’t have heat in your house or live at the North Pole it’s fine but for our house it’s almost unbearable. If I don’t kick the blanket off I wake up sweaty. We can’t really turn the heat down that much since we have children.
    Thank you

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersHeadline says it all! It would be easier to describe everything wrong with this blanket than the positives, as the benefits are endless! After extensive research (… and I mean extensive… ), this was a life saving purchase for me. I’ve struggled with insomnia for nearly 2 years, and it wasn’t until after I started sleeping with this blanket did I finally get a solid nights sleep! AMEN!

I purchased the 86″x92″, 20lb for my queen size bed. I’ve been sleeping with it now for 2 weeks and can honestly say I’ve never slept so well in years! I fall asleep almost immediately. No more tossing and turning. I thought it would be too hot, but haven’t experienced any discomfort in that area. It truly is like being hugged to sleep. Even if needing to wake up in the middle of the night, falling back to sleep is effortless!

Why do I recommend this blanket over all others?

    1. I purchased this one, not for the thousands of positive reviews, (though I understand why there are so many positive reviews on this blanket), but for the benefits my research taught me. This blanket comes with the preferred glass beads, (not the plastic beads).

    2. This blanket does not shift in weight. The very small glass beads are truly undetectable, and stays evenly distributed throughout the entire blanket.

    3. It has no chemical odor as some complaints I read about other branded weighted blankets.

    4. I love that it comes with an attractive, detachable, washable, duvet cover.

    5. True that this blanket is heavy, especially when taking out of the package and putting on your bed, but not the case after the blanket is evenly distributed over the bed.

    6. This blanket is priced slightly higher than some, but don’t be fooled. You get what you pay for! The amazon instant off coupon of $50 made this size blanket extremely competitive with other brands.

I’ve read that if sleeping alone, you should not buy one any larger than the surface dimension of your size bed. This suggestion is definitely recommended. In fact, I’d recommend going one size dimension smaller. It is true, because the weight of the blanket, throughout the night, if the blanket slips off the corner, because of the weight of the blanket, it will eventually slip off the entire bed. Purchasing a smaller dimension blanket will avoid this. However, I purchased the larger size for my queen because I share a bed with my husband… It is recommended that you go one size larger if sharing a bed.

In closing… This blanket delivers! I LOVE THIS BLANKET! I’m confident, you too, will not be disappointed!

    I hope this review helps….

I’m 5’0″, 135 lbs., and I got the 15 lb. twin size blanket (48×72). I was 140 lb. at the time I ordered it so I could’ve gone either way (12 lb. or 15 lb. blanket). I have to say, I am in LOVE with this blanket. It is sooo soft with the minky cover. And the weighted blanket stays in place inside (it doesn’t move around) because of the ties holding it in place. I originally bought this for my daughter who has anxiety but the whole family ended up using it so I purchased another one, then 2 more. The weight makes you feel calm, relaxed and like someone is giving you a hug. I use one on top of half of my king size bed (for me) since I’m always cold at night and my husband is always hot. The extra weight helps me sleep better at night.

After seeing the review from that one customer with the bug in it, I was a little leery on ordering it, but after ordering 4 total, all separate transactions and none of them with bugs, I realized that must’ve been a one time thing. It comes packaged nicely in a sturdy plastic bag that can be used to store it if you like. I highly recommend this product for anyone who could use a “hug” after a long stressful day.

I’ve been wanting a weighted blanket for years, but my sleep had not gotten bad enough to warrant it until recently. I am very happy with the quality of this weighted blanket. There is no shifting of beads, and I love the feel of the weight. However, I almost sent it back after 2 nights. It was SO hot. I tend to run a bit hot, and I live in Arizona so using the weighted blanket was so uncomfortable that I thought about sending it back after 2 nights. But I REALLY wanted this blanket, so I tried a few other things. First, I replaced the cover that comes with it for a cotton cover. This helped a bit, but my sleeping was not improving and I was still often covered in sweat when I woke up. So then, I started turning down the thermostat at night, which helped even more. I also had a sheet over the blanket to keep the cats from laying directly on top of it…so the next thing was taking away the sheet (since it has a cover that’s machine washable, it shouldn’t make any difference). Finally, I have begun to notice a improvement in the quality of my sleep. So you ask, what will I do in summer? Turn on the overhead fan of course. What I’m suggesting is that if you like the feel of the weighted blanket, spend some time to adjust other environmental factors, before you give up on it.

I purchased the 25lb option as I am roughly 260 lbs and reading up on how to use weighted blankets it suggests buying one that is roughly 10% of your body weight.

I have had this for roughly a week and my overall sleep has been pretty good. I am not a good REM sleeper and wake up once or twice a night here and there. The week I have had this the first night was mostly a getting used to the blanket type night but the others have been really good. Slept through the night all but one night and less movement which is wonderful.

It is very nice, soft, and made well IMO. The weight is distributed in little “pockets” and so it will not shift on you. It is surprisingly comfortable and does not feel like is constricts my body. It is very heavy to move and would not have thought it would be as it’s “only 25lbs”. (it’s not just a quick throw back the cover type thing lol)

I do not have any kids but I would not use this weight amount with ANY children. I am unsure if another brand is better or worse than this one. Or if higher prices mean better or not, but this one for the $109 I spent is really nice.

Overall a pretty good purchase for what I was looking for which is to sleep better. So far it is helping me with what I bought it for.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI practice Reiki and purchased this in the twin size to drape over clients as they lay on a massage table during our sessions. I wanted to create an extra level of comfort and relaxation, and had read that these are very good at facilitating a sense of calm. Everyone who used it loved it and commented on how nice it was. I even had a few people ask me for the link so they could purchase one of their own.

The weight distributes very evenly and the fabric is cool enough that it was still usable during the summer months. Very soft exterior material, and I found it easy to attach the inside to the shell. Out of curiosity I decided to lay under it and see it it truly was “comforting / relaxing” and I felt so happy and cozy, despite the fact that I was laying on our incredibly uncomfortable futon. Sadly it does not help my dog calm down during thunderstorms (he refuses to wear clothing so ThunderShirts aren’t an option), but he’s relatively inconsolable so it’s not the blanket’s fault 🙂

This was my first time buying a weighted blanket and I did a ton of research / product comparisons before settling on this one. I can’t say if it truly is better or worse than any others out there, but I’m very happy with the purchase and so are my clients! Would definitely purchase again.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLoving this blanket so far. I replaced a cheaper weighted blanket with this one, and wasn’t disappointed. Good quality, nicely distributed weight, and super comfy.
A big reason I bought this one was for machine washability. Although I haven’t washed it yet, I’m less nervous than I was about washing my previous cheap one. The stitching and material seem solid.
Normally I wash anything I get before using it, but as I’ve been under the weather I was delighted that this product arrived looking and smelling fresh and clean. Still think the cover should be washed before using, but given my situation this was a big bonus. And the cover was already on, ready for use.
As for weighted blankets in general, I’m a huge fan. I’ve struggled with insomnia my whole life, and am a master pro at “sleep hygiene”. About a year ago my insomnia became severe, and no medication or sleep tricks (meditation, podcasts, cbt) helped. The little sleep I got was disturbed when I’d awake too hot. You’re supposed to keep things cool for good sleep, but I had this odd need to be buried in blankets. Here’s where the weighted blanket solved two of my big sleep issues — I get the weight I was subconsciously trying to get with 5 layers of blankets, and because I only need the one I don’t wake up hot. It provides the “hug-like” weight you want but doesn’t trap heat.
I’m sleeping better now than I have in a year. I no longer dread going to bed. Granted, the other things I was working on for sleep may also have played a role, but this blanket is a key component.
Bought a second one I’m going to give my son for Christmas.
Still scared to wash the blanket itself, not for lack of quality but fear of having to clean 12 lbs of glass beads out of the washing machine and the damage it could cause. At least it comes with a more easily washable cover. I wonder…if the blanket could be washed while in the cover, to trap those beads if needed. Would love to hear if anyone’s done this.
In summary — hands down one of my favorite purchases this year, and wonderful quality and comfort (you can never be sure when ordering online).

I bought this for my son as he wanted one (I have the same one myself, but I only use this blanket in the sofa, not for sleep)
The outer fabric is super soft and very comfortable.
It’s very warm for sleep according to my son. He tried it at my house and it was too hot (22 degrees Celcius inside), but it works well at his place where the bedroom is a lot colder.

The wight distribution is not 100% even (took about 2-3 weeks to notice) – so the heavy parts keeps going to the sides and the bottom of the blanket. It’s very difficult to try to even it out as it is so heavy. I have tried and it works for a very short while and then the beads fall to the side again. I guess you need the metal tread blankets if you expect no movement at all.

I was so sure this blanket came with a removable inner fabric, but it does not, so I can only wash the soft outer one.

I do wonder where to find a cotton fabric/summer fabric for this blanket. It will for sure be too hot for my son in the summer as we had about + 30 degrees Celcius for months the last two years.

He is about 60 kg and 180 cm and I got him the about 6.8 kg blanket as I myself got the 5.4 kg blanket (I’m 50 kg and 163 cm) and I find it too light (that might be because of the weight being more on the side than actually on my chest and body in general.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDue to my numerous health issues, including insomnia and lots of pain which cause me to have to sit on the couch during much of the night, my husband thought a weighted blanket might be helpful for me. After research, he selected this blanket. When it arrived, I loved it, but it was much too large and heavy to be a “lap quilt.” He immediately purchased a second, smaller version (child’s 10-lb. blanket), which is perfect for the “lap quilt,” and we use this larger version on our bed. The weighted blanket is so soft, warm, and comfortable, and I use both versions every day. Although too early to rate, I do believe the blankets have helped with improved sleep and less pain! Update: Our 14-year-old granddaughter asked for one of “Grammy’s blankets” for her Christmas present! So, a third Quility was ordered. All of my grandkids love to use my “lap quilt.”

I bought the weighted blanket to help me sleep sounder. I work nights and it was hard to get quality sleep during the day with the normal distractions that come from teenagers coming and going. So I thought this blanket would help. The answer was a yes to a deeper and more quality sleep. This blanket hasn’t beaded up as much as another weighted blanket I purchased. The other blanket within 2 months of use moved the beads in the center of the blanket where this one hasn’t. I would say to a small degree the beads have shifted but it’s still acceptable to me. Now that I’ve used this blanket for awhile, I don’t notice the weight as much as the beginning. Maybe it’s just my sub conscience saying it isn’t working like it once did. But overall, I do like the blanket still and use it once and awhile. The cover to it is super soft and cozy for cold nights. I bought a thinner, lighter cover for warmer nights. I haven’t used it yet. The covers are amazing in they tie to the weighted insert and doesn’t shift around. The covers are easy to clean in the wash. For the weighted blanket, I’ve spot cleaned it when necessary. This is a good buy if you are looking for a great weighted blanket.

**See bottom for explanation of the red line.**
This is my first weighted blanket and I did a lot of searching before I decided to buy this one. I love this thing! I am a college student and have a twin bed, but I got the full bed-sized one because of my height. At first it did take my body a little time (about a week) to get used to the weight and extra heat (as a natural consequence of having a heavy blanket on, but this heat isn’t overwhelming), but I find my sleep to be better! I fall sleep much faster, stay asleep, and I toss and turn hardly at all. I have had it for three weeks and only a couple times have a tie come untied (connecting the cover to the blanket) but those are easy to re-do. Highly recommend. I put four stars for weight distribution because the top of the blanket (the side opposite that of the quility tag) is a little lighter than the tagged side. However this is not an issue for me as I hardly notice it.

Update. After a little more investigation, I’ve found that (at least on mine) the actual weighted blanket is slightly smaller in length-wise than the cover. Maybe I somehow stretched the cover, but I haven’t done anything I think would have done that. I’ll add a picture of what i mean. It’s not the best but I drew a line where the weighted blanket is inside the cover.

    Highly recommend, for better sleep

I can find absolutely NOTHING wrong with this blanket! In my opinion you can’t go wrong with this one! 😀
This is what you want to know: The “pockets” or compartments for the beads & filling are 5.5′ X 5.5″ and they do not shift, bunch, make noise, leak the glass pellets, etc. I do not find that it makes me hot or cold. The fabric is nice & smooth but not silky so it doesn’t slide off. I use it on top of my covers because I share the bed with my husband. The 48″ X 72″ that I bought would work by itself if you are a small/shorter person. I’m a med-large person @ 5’6″ & weigh 195 lb & not sure it would work alone for me. I previously purchased another awesome blanket at 20 lb (~ 10% of body weight per usual recommendations) but found it much too heavy. (My son bought it from me). I’m certain I would have done well with a 15 lb blanket. At 12 lb it’s ~ 6% of my body weight. 15 lb would be ~ 8%. I’m happy with the 12 pounder. I tried the cover but it just doesn’t work for me. It has ties at each corner & 1 on each side. It did shift a little inside the cover (2 ties on each side would be better) but, as I said, I use it on top of the covers so it prob binds a little against the comforter. If you’re using the blanket next to your body prob a good idea to use the cover and I’m betting it would work just fine! It’s not a total loss – I use it to wrap around my shoulders watching TV. Happy sleeping!!

I’ve had this blanket for about two weeks now and can honestly say I love it. I spent a lot of time researching all the options and varieties of weighted blankets on the market and am very happy with my decision to purchase this one. First, the covering is so fabulously soft and comfortable. It is also removable which is a definite plus so that I can machine wash it. Secondly, I am pleased it has glass beads and the weight stays evenly distributed. I have no problems with it shifting too much and it doesn’t make any noise. Third, and most importantly, I get the best nights sleep I’ve ever had. It makes me feel all snug and secure and it helps me to sleep on my back which is something I’ve never been able to do. I actually look forward to going to bed so I can crawl under it and I fall asleep way quicker than I used to. I was nervous to make this purchase but am so happy with my choice. I am planning on buying my mom one for her birthday since she doesn’t sleep well and now based on my experience I’m sure it will help her. I weigh 125 pounds and I bought the full size, 12 pound blanket in the light grey which is a very pretty grey color. The weight is ideal for me. Not too heavy and not too light. I was afraid it would be too light but I believe it’s perfect – I can still roll onto side if I want to and I don’t feel weighted down – just nice and secure and comfy. I highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 60 From Our UsersI love my weighted blanket. The multiple layers in the insert ensure that the weight is evenly distributed and doesn’t shift around or it’s extremely minimal. I got the ivory duvet cover and it matches my bedroom perfectly. The duvet is so soft and cuddly. The blanket helps me go to sleep, stay asleep and definitely wake up better rested. I have many health issues including severe chronic insomnia, fibromyalgia, arthritis, back issues, neuropathy, etc. It’s definitely a big help and the weight doesn’t cause issues with my fibro, and I wake up much less achy all over than usual. Be sure to give it multiple nights to adjust to it–I bought 20 lbs and thought it was too heavy at first, so I ordered the 15 lb and was going to return the 20. After one night with the 15lb, I knew it wasn’t heavy enough so the 20 lb was the best… and just for comparison I weigh about 160 lbs. Also, the minky duvet cover does seem to add close to 2 lbs to the blanket weight as well.

I have never reviewed anything on Amazon but felt like I needed to with this blanket! I’ve wanted a weighted blanket for over a year now but haven’t had the money for a Gravity blanket. I finally decided to do some serious research on cheaper ones and it led me to a link for this blanket. I am so impressed with the quality, it doesn’t feel cheap or stiff at all. I also LOVE the cover. It’s softer than any of my normal blankets and the ties inside were so easy to figure out, they also help a ton with keeping the blanket and the cover in place. (Btw I washed the cover right when it came in and it kept its softness and nothing broke!)

I’ve been sleeping with 3-6 blankets on me at once for years because I loved the feel of the weight and it’s so nice to only need one now AND to have one that forms to my body like a cocoon. However, I definitely wouldn’t recommend this blanket (or any weighted blanket really) to anyone that hates getting hot in the night. I wonder if it would be less hot if I took the fuzzy cover off? Either way, I get cold easily so I don’t mind!

I am also very happy that I sized up. A 10-12lb blanket was what most sites recommend for me but I decided to go for 15lbs and, honestly, I could go even heavier and be happy but definitely no lighter. PS a full size blanket completely covers the top of my full size bed but does not go over the sides at all (that’s what I wanted)!

Golden Review Award: 225 From Our UsersI bought this for my wife for her birthday, but went a weight above the recommended one. This blanket is absolutely amazing!

    Pros:
-My wife loves it and sleeps so much better, improving her quality of life.
-This is the only blanket that will 100% shut up my wife’s neurotic freaking Chihuahua, which improves his chances at having a quality life.
-My wife doesn’t steal the comforter anymore, which means I have a better night’s sleep and don’t have to leave her.
-It puts my wife to sleep so well that she doesn’t mind if it’s a little warm, so she backs off the thermostat, you Dad’s know what I’m talking about!
-She once laid it over me when i was hungover from drinking entirely too much with my brother, and it let me dig in for a good coma while my body tried to figure out what happened and why I did that to myself.

    Cons:
-Having to clean and jerk this thing overhead so I can backload it to carry ANYWHERE she wants it, downstairs, upstairs, to the car for vacation.

Bottom line, men. Get this for your wife to save your marriage and sanity.

I looked carefully for a weighted blanket, looked at many, read the reviews and decided after exhaustive research to purchase this blanket. I have tried white noise machines, nature sounds, herbs, melatonin, meditation, all the typical solutions. I weigh 122 lbs. and deliberated between the 12 lb. and 15 lb. option. I have a queen bed and decided to get the twin size to cover just my half of the sleeping area. My 2 dogs do not need to share it. Bought the 12 lb. blanket and very happy I did. I had planned on taking it up and down stairs. I was surprised at how heavy 12 lbs actually is. Very heavy for me who is 76, but in great shape. I was concerned that it would be to hot in the summer. I have AC and did not find that an issue. I must say that I am sleeping longer and deeper than in the past. I do enjoy that comforting weight. The beads are well distributed and do not shift a lot as some customers complained about other blankets. I have not washed the duvet yet, so I do not know how it will hold up. Since I do not plan on sleeping without the cover, I am not planning on washing the blanket. Although instructions say it can be washed, I cannot imagine what the weight of the blanket and water would do to my washing machine. I waited a few months before this review to decide the verdict. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo this is my first weighted blanket, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I bought the 20lb 60″x80″ blanket (I followed the size chart recommendation) (and yes, as other’s have mentioned, the size is not actually 60″x80″ but slightly smaller, which is not an issue for me. When the blanket arrived, I wasn’t quite so sure I’d made the correct decision. It’s heavy. You never really know what 20lbs feels like until it arrives in box and you have to spread it out on your bed. But I gave it a try. First night, was okay. Better than I anticipated. I was expecting it to be claustrophobic but it wasn’t at all. And the way the weight of the blanket is distributed was comforting but not smothering. Additionally, thought quite soft, the blanket isn’t hot. It arrived during a heatwave and I was worried I’d be too hot. I wasn’t. I’ve been using this blanket for the better part of a month, and my sleep has gotten noticeably better. At 20lbs, it’s not too heavy as I feared. Definitely a keeper. The quality of the blanket construction seems good. I have not removed the cover, nor plan to anytime soon. The Quilty folks sent an email with instructions as to how to attach the duvet cover. Nice additional information to have. I can say if you’re looking for weighted blanket, I’d recommend this blanket based on my positive experience.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI am a 5’3″ 115lb 25 year old female. I struggle with sleeping, anxiety, depression. I wanted to try a weighted blanket for my problems but wasn’t sure if it would work for me as I also tend to feel claustrophobic from time to time. I figured I would mostly use it as a throw blanket on a couch, and not to sleep with as I didn’t think I’d like it. Turns out I love sleeping with this blanket and now I almost always sleep throughout the whole night (I would previously wake up in the middle of night and not fall back asleep) and if I do wake up, I notice I fall back asleep very quickly. I would definitely purchase this item again. Even my husband who hates blankets, tends to steal it sometimes!

The quality of the blanket is very good and I have had no problems with it. The cover is great and I would definitely recommend the cover, as it is machine washable where I think the weighted blanket itself is just spot clean only. The cover is very soft/fuzzy and stays secure to the weighted blanket. One side is raised circles and the other side is flat. The coloring is perfect and goes with a lot. The only thing to be aware of is that the blanket gets hot! I think it may just be the fuzzy cover, but have not tried the blanket without the cover on. They sell another fabric cover that I would like to purchase in future for the summer time. The cover I purchased will be great in the colder months though. The beading does not seem to move around at all and the weight stays distributed evenly throughout. Overall I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and if you are on the fence, just try it. I am so glad I did.

    Great purchase would buy agai

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis review is for the Quility Weighted Blanket & Cover, in 15 lbs, size 60″ x 80″, and with the Ivory cover.

I have trouble sleeping, and this blanket really helps. I am 5’4″ and weigh 112 lb, and at the time I bought this blanket, there weren’t corresponding bodyweight suggestions next to each blanket weight. I vacillated between the 12-lb and the 15-lb and ended up going with the latter. I thought the “cream” color would be more ivory, but it’s light yellow, exactly as shown in the product photo. The removable microfleece cover is super soft, but it makes the blanket way too hot for the summer; so I put a spare cotton duvet cover on it for the time being, until it gets cold again.

This weighted blanket washes up nicely. (The fuzzy cover does too, but my main concern is the blanket itself because I’m allergic to dustmites and wash ALL of my bedding regularly.) I didn’t have any problems with the seams coming undone or any beads spilling out. I washed the blanket on my washing machine’s “allergen” (high heat) setting, and then dried it in my drier. Zero problems. 100% would buy again.

** Update, six months later **

This blanket is still doing great. I’ve washed it four times now (about every six weeks) with no problems. I do wish I had gotten a 12 lb blanket, though, because I think the 15lb is too heavy for my body size/weight — it made my skin/muscles hurt the first week I used it (weird, right?). Everything is fine now, but if you’re vacillating between two blanket weights, I’d recommend getting the lighter one. 😉

    ** Update, 10 months later **

Okay, yeah, this thing is way too heavy for me and actually started causing me that same “skin/muscle” surface pain the past few weeks. I really don’t know any other way to describe it, but it was super unpleasant. I put the blanket in storage last week and am now back to my previous duvet. I should have gone with the 12-lb version of this weighted blanket. One positive? I have washed it MULTIPLE times now, and it does great in both the washer and dryer — no problems there.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersCustomer service is exceptional!! I had to email and work with the owner of the company – because he chose to do so without any prompting. First class service – original blanket had an issue with packaging, so Quility delivered a new one very quickly. Pink is not my favorite color (but is one of my favorite artists – Ha!), so Quility sends me a different cover at an enticing price – problem solved! Again, excellent customer service. On to the blanket.

I purchased the biggest, heaviest blanket possible (30lbs and 80×92, I think), which turned out to be the correct purchase because we have never slept better (teen years excluded…lol). It is amazingly soft and wonderfully embracing…ahhhhhhh (comfort noise). The first night with the blanket was great and night two will likely be even better. Honestly, I am pondering buying smaller blankets for friends/family – this will be a selective group because the blanket is slightly cost prohibitive for spreading the love to all.

Another phenomenal feature about which I was admittedly skeptical is the “keeps you cool in warm weather and warm in cool weather”. While I cannot speak to the cool weather, I am an expert at warm/hot weather(think Hell on Earth) and this blanket was not hot – at all. Think about that – 30lbs blanket that is not hot when the temp exceeds 100F. WHAT?!? Yep, the blanket was cool even as it’s blazing hot!

Conclusion: If you want a blanket that comes from a great company (if this changes, I’ll revise write-up) with responsive people, a super soft, comfy, hugging but seemingly light quality blanket then this is the answer. I got a great night’s sleep!

I have had chronic insomnia (diagnosed) for 25 years and the doctors are unsure as to the cause (believe it may be related to all the shift work I did during my years working in television and my body never re-adjusting). I stopped taking medication on a consistent basis, as I currently work in mental health and know how addictive it can be. When I read and heard about weighted blankets, I was skeptical to say the least.

However…I went for it. I am so glad I did. I ordered the full-size blanket, 15 lbs, as the King, 10 lbs, was not available. I like the fact I feel encased and comforted. I tend to be a restless sleeper and once I figured out how to “adjust” my sleeping habits, I found I can move pretty freely at night. I cannot say if my sleep has improved as I have only had the blanket for a few days. I do know that I am warmer, which is good as I am the worlds coldest person and sleep with socks on during the summer.

I hope the King size comes back soon, as I will order for my bed and move my current blanket to the spare room (has a full size bed). I will be tracking my sleep to see if this makes a difference in the quality and quantity of my slumber. I will say my cats absolutely love sleeping on it during the day and it is difficult for me to get them off when it is time for me to go to bed. So five stars from them!

Golden Review Award: 169 From Our UsersSo I researched weighted blankets for months before buying this one. This one was definitely at the top of my list of choices. The thing that really drew me to it was that it included a cover with the blanket. I had been debating whether or not a cover would really matter. It does! The cover is like a pillowcase to keep it clean and the minky one is super soft. I absolutely love the minky cover because it’s very comfy and I love the turquoise color I got! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the texture on the cover! I got the 48X72 15 lb dark gray blanket with aqua/turquoise cover. I’m around 180 lbs and 5′ 6″ tall and this blanket is pretty much the right size. I wouldn’t mind it being a tad bit longer to cover my feet since I like to pull it up over my shoulders. The weight of it is amazing! I wondered if a weighted blanket would help me sleep better. I’m a senior in college and have a lot of anxiety and racing thoughts at night. This blanket actually makes me happier, calmer, and sleep deeper. The heaviness of the blanket mimics a hug and hugs actually release oxytocin into your body creating a bonding or happy effect kind of like serotonin does. I love hugs and I love to be covered with a million blankets. So if you are the type of person who enjoys being swallowed in blankets, this is for you! When I use my blanket on the couch, I feel more relaxed and comfier than I usually do with just a regular blanket. I also use my blanket when I’m going to sleep. It helps calm me down, focuses my racing thoughts, and soothes me to sleep. It’s been around 70 degrees F where I live and I’m not hot at all with it on. In fact, my bedroom is cold at night and so I put my bed covers over my weighted blanket if I’m cold. I really enjoy this blanket and it’s honestly been one of the only things that has worked to improve my sleep. It is an amazing product and I’m honestly blown away!

We bought one of these for our daughter (41×60) and she loved it. So when my wife asked for one for her birthday I availed myself of the coupon Quility had included in my first purchase. Only this time I got a queen size. One especially nice feature of the queen size blanket is that it shipped inside the cover. My daughter had to put the cover shipped with her 41×60 blanket on herself. It was a bit of a struggle for her because of the weight of the blanket (10 lb) but she got it eventually. But this one was already pre-covered.

The cover is deliciously soft! My daughter even prefers to lay directly under hers without a sheet. We use a sheet but the cover feels so good against your skin.

I was skeptical about a weighted blanket, thinking first I would find the heaviness uncomfortable and second it would be too hot. Neither have been a problem. The weighted blanket isn’t any hotter than the down-filled comforter I was previously using. And the weight doesn’t negatively impact my sleep. Though I haven’t used it enough to determine if, overall, I sleep better, I am cautiously optimistic that, indeed, that will be the outcome.

It would be unfair if I didn’t also include my wife’s opinion since she’s the reason I bought it in the first place. She agrees with me that it doesn’t sleep any hotter than previous blankets. She also agrees that her sleep hasn’t been negatively impacted and it’s too soon to conclude that her sleep has improved. We’ve only used it for 10 days so far.

I will be happy to update my review in a few months after we’ve used it enough…if I remember 🙂

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersI am 5’4 and weigh 108 lbs. I ordered the 60 x 80″ 15 lb blanket with the minkie duvet. I found the polyester duvet to be too hot and sweaty. So I ordered a cotton duvet and I’m much more comfortable with that. I like the size and weight of the blanket a lot. I was surprised to find that I do sleep better with the weighted blanket, and I find it to be calming and soothing indeed. I really look forward to slipping in bed at night and pulling it up over myself. I sleep both on my back and on my side. My daughter has one and loves hers as well. I highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 54 From Our UsersWhere to begin. First, I did research for months trying to decide which company would be the best to order from. Second, it was difficult to decide which weight to get. There are so many opinions out there. Well, the high number of reviews made me choose this company. That was a great decision. Shipped well, quickly, in the proper size box. The weight of the blanket was hard on the plastic protection case the blanket comes in but there we no issues. Next, the 30lbs does not sound like a lot of weight but when you lift or move it, I guess because it flops around, it feels more like 50+ pounds. I like that because it’s different. I did not measure this size but the blanket just covers our king size bed. Seems like it should be a few inches bigger but it does cover the entire bed. I think my wife has me used to stuff that drapes all around the edges. Onto the important part, sleep. OK, this is heavy. Heavier than expected BUT that’s a good thing. What I realized after a few days of use is I was getting more of the weight because I was laying under a blanket that was pulled tight to each side of the bed, exposing me to more weight. After a few nights of sleep, I pulled the edges closer so just part of the blanket was on me. (Not sure I am exhaling this well. Imagine being a tent pole and supporting the entire tent. That was the first 2 days. After wrapping just the side I use, perfect weight.). Anyway, I do feel the quality of sleep has improved. I am not waking up at night which is a big change. I ditched my electric blanket because this is very warm. It’s soft too! I hope they have more color options for covers some day that appeal to me more. I like the blue and gray but more choices for different seasons would be nice. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and the quality. I have not had any issues. I read the negative reviews and they seem forced or just written by competition or bitter people. I cannot think of anything I’d improve. It you are sensitive to weight, I’d strongly consider going 5 or 10 lbs less. Keep in mind, the weight is the entire blanket. You only lay under a portion of the blanket so you do not have the full weight on you. I hope this helps if you are considering one. If this became damaged or torn, I would order a replacement instantly, no hesitation. Good luck.

I have only had this for 2 nights so far, but let me just say this: besides just feeling very comfortable & soft and having an attractive appearance, I slept for 6 hours straight without so much as shifting position these past 2 nights with this blanket. And I have been suffering from a pretty relentless & intolerable bout of insomnia & pain & restlessness past few weeks, so to sleep that soundly all of the sudden kind of speaks for itself. At least for me, new sleep tricks often lose their effectiveness with me over time, and I can’t yet comment on whether this blanket is the exception. But even if my sleep does become interrupted again over time, the blanket itself is very comforting and soothing and I do feel noticeably more serene and comfortable when I put it on me. It also makes my body pain less pronounced. If it is between this vs another weighted blanket, I recommend this one as it is reasonably priced, well-made, and it comes with a cover which is important to facilitate cleaning. The cover is incredibly (!!) soft and comes with plenty of ties on the inside that you attach to loops on the blanket, so the blanket & cover don’t shift away from eachother at all. Also, the cover zips instead of buttons like most duvet covers, which makes it quicker & easier & more seamless in appearance/texture than most duvet covers. I got the bluish green cover, which is very attractive and it is a cool, calming & happy color. As a whole, this blanket has been very thoughtfully made and it is also very reasonably priced given the craftsmanship. I recommend it!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was skeptical that a blanket could do so much for a person but I had to prove it to myself. First let me say that this is a time machine in the metaphorical sense that it propelles you foraward in time and gives you a feeling of your childhood. Let me explain, as a child your parents would swaddle you in a blanket keeping you comforted and safe, that feeling allowed your anxiety to be relieved and gave you a feeling of total comfort allowing you to sleep comfortablely. Take this same time proven concept and use it in a blanket for an adult. Now the time machine concept comes from the fact as soon as you cover yourself in this and close your eyes, you are out within minutes and poof it’s tomorrow!!!! The blanket comforts you and makes you feel secure. I thought all the reviews were just hype. Well I am a total believer. Make sure you use the chart to determine which weight is beat for you. It does make a difference. Getting the actual blanket into the supplies cover needs to be done on a flat surface and make sure the ties that hold it in are tied like a shoe lace knot. Makes it easier to remove when your launder the cover. The cover has the raised dots which give it a nice feeling. This is a great solution for people with anxiety and the need for comfort. I can’t explain how good it has been for a getting a good nights rest.

I purchased the 60″x80″ 15lb blanket for our queen bed. The dimensions fell about an inch and a half short on each side – but it fits comfortably across the bed. The ties (in the corners & center points of the blanket) keep it in its very soft! sham with minimal shifting. We have not noticed any issues with the filling coming out of its squares – but we also keep the blanket static for the most part, without a lot of scrunching it up/hauling it around wear & tear.

Background: The hubs has had issues with [anxiety-based/phone-aggrivated] insomnia. I haven’t had chronic sleep problems. We’ve slept with the blanket for about a month and a half at this point, with no plans to discontinue its use.

On the question of hotness: We keep our room cold and use a fan, so we don’t find the blanket to be overly warm. It definitely *could* be, and it will be interesting to see what happens as we move into summer.

Falling asleep: I find the weight comforting when falling asleep. The hubs says that if he’s tired it’s great, but if he’s feeling antsy/shifty, the weight can be uncomfortable because his quick-twitch movements are restricted. He also feels that I’m not as cuddly falling asleep because we’re both “kind of stuck in place.”

Staying asleep: I’ve noticed that we both sleep through the night better/more soundly. I feel like we wake up more readily in the morning, as well.

In general: We definitely prioritize comfort and rest, and this has been worth its investment. It’s not “OMG LIFE CHANGING,” but it’s been a solid choice, and I think the next “big” step would be actually getting a new mattress/bed.

I ordered this blanket in the hopes that it would alleviate my insomnia. I have a tendency to toss and turn constantly throughout the night. I kick a leg over to one side which twists my lower back and I wake up in pain. After one night, I can say with confidence that this blanket does indeed help you rest in one position with minimal movement and seems to alleviate the tossing and turning. I ordered the 15 lb blanket, 60×80. I did not measure it (some reviewers have stated it’s not true to size), but honestly, it’s plenty big enough for me. I’m 5’6″. It covers me neck to toes with enough left over to wrap under my feet and of course, plenty on the sides. The quality is very good; the minky duvet is a lovely bonus. I didn’t find putting the blanket into the duvet to be very cumbersome. I turned the duvet inside out revealing the bottom ties then turned the duvet right side out as I worked my way up, tucking the blanket in as I went along. To help secure, I threaded each tie through the loop in opposite directions then did a double knot. That seems to be enough to keep it in place without putting too much strain on the ties. It’s pretty, comfortable, quality and the weight distributes very well. The packing was in order, clean and there was no odor to the blanket which others commented about. Within minutes, my husband and stepdaughter were fighting for time with it. I may update my review as I log some more sleep time but based on my initial impression, this blanket is no disappointment!

As far as how weighted blankets will affect you, everyone is different and I suggest you try one to see how you react. All I can say for myself is after living for the better part of five decades it is very strange to sleep all night without getting up until my alarm goes off.

As far as the blankets, sizes and weights go I am surprised there is no clear information about how the surface area of the blanket affects how much weight and pressure you will feel. For example, a 15 LB, 48″ x 72″ blanket will generate more pressure than a 15LB, 60″ x 80″ blanket because the smaller 15LB blanket has all of its weight concentrated in a smaller surface area. Even a 20LB 60″ x 80″ blanket will feel lighter than a 15LB 48″ x 72″ blanket because there is more pressure per square inch with the smaller blanket if this makes sense. We ordered three different sizes and weights and conversed with the seller in order to determine this. What this means is if you like the pressure of the 15 LB small blanket but want one that covers more of your body you will need to order a larger AND heavier one in order to feel the same pressure. If you are ordering the 48 x 72 blanket then the 10 to 15 percent of your body weight rule seems like a good starting point, but if you go up in size to the 60 x 80 you might want to add 5 or 10 LBS to the blanket in order to get the same pressure as the smaller one.

I ordered this blanket to help with my anxiety and stress, but its actually helped more with getting me to sleep through the night and helping me fall asleep much, much quicker. I used to go to sleep around 12:30 am and wake up between 3:00 and 4:30 am, sometimes multiple times a night. With the use of this blanket I have not woken up,I sleep through the whole night, and I don’t toss and turn nearly as much. I wake up feeling really rested and ready to take on the day. I ordered the aqua/seafoam blue blanket, and I love the vibrant color! I also really enjoy the minky fabric, the little bumps are so soft and soothing to play with as you drift off to sleep. However I do have some “complaints” about this blanket, the first being that it is really heavy. I ordered the 25lb blanket, and at first it was somewhat uncomfortable to sleep under, but I quickly adjusted by night 3 or 4. I’ve had it for a few weeks now and I hardly notice it, I just feel comfortable under it. With it being so heavy you almost need a buddy to help carry it, as sometimes its awkward to carry alone. My other “complaint” is that I have a dog and he sleeps on the bed. At night I used to be able to know the location of him just by using my feet. Being under this blanket, you can’t feel anything, so I no longer know where my dog is. But if my only “complaint” is that my weighted blanket is heavy and I don’t know where my dog is, then I think I’m very satisfied. I also like that the blanket comes with a cover. Most weighted blankets can’t be washed. I have a dog, allergies and I get sick frequently, its great to know I am able to pop off the cover and wash it when needed. I can’t wait to buy my next Quility weighted blanket…maybe this time for the living room!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this weighted blanket after hearing about how effective it can be to enhance good sleep. It has taken me several weeks to get used to it but I am glad that I persevered. I do sleep better with it, but the additional weight can sometimes feel too much. It certainly does promote more restful sleep and I consider it to be effective for the purpose for which it was designed. Whether it will prove to be too hot in the summer remains to be seen.

I read an article about weighted blankets and bough one for each of my sons as Valentines gifts. My wife opened the box when they arrived and told me that my youngest son’s therapist used a similar blanket as part of Feldenkrias Method treatments.

I encourage readers to check out this Wikipedia link, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feldenkrais_kMethod While a research study quoted in the first two paragraphs did not find effectiveness, read thru the entire article. I can tell you that my son’s experiences were positive. It took my wife a couple of years of searching for an effective therapies and pediatricians for my son. On her third try, she found an Eastern European trained pediatrician who recommended a Feldenkrais Massage Therapist. Eleven years later, my sensory integration challenged son has overcome his issues and is in high school playing on the basketball and track teams.

After hearing that positive feedback, I bought four more; one for each of my son’s girlfriends as Valentines gifts and one for my wife and I.

But wait, it gets better… following youngest son’s basketball game, we had his girlfriend and parents over to exchange Valentines gifts. The blanket was the hit of the night. My son demonstrated his blanket on the family room couch and everyone took turns trying the blanket out on the couch and on the easy chair. They all enjoyed the experience. The following morning the dad called and shared that her daughter enjoyed being hugged all night.

One caution… please ensure that you buy a blanket matched to a person’s weight. Other than that, enjoy your own hugging blanket.

I started having trouble sleeping and heard about people using weighted blankets. I have to say I did a lot of research before finally purchasing this blanket. Many of the online complaints (with other blankets) had to do with the material sewn into the material shifting to the corners and also poor quality. Well, you don’t have to worry about either of those things with this blanket. It comes beautifully packaged and arrives with the weighted blanket and also a nice soft slipcover. I was initially amazed at how heavy the blanket felt. Trust me, it is not easy to move around. However, what struck me right off the bat, was the quality. This blanket is soft and the material used to weight the blanket is sewn into small squares. The small squares keep the material in place so you don’t end up with the weight falling to the edges of the blanket. You can use the blanket with or without the slipcover depending upon what is best for you. I would recommend the slipcover, only because you can wash it easily. I will say that getting the slipcover on the blanket was challenging. The weight made it difficult to maneuver. I gave 5 stars for this blanket, but I do want to warn you that the size is smaller than you would expect. I ordered a queen size and it just fit on the bed with only about an inch of overflow. It seems like it would be a better fit for a twin or full-size bed. All in all, I love this blanket. Sadly, it did not help me with my insomnia issues, but it does provide a very safe and cocoon-like environment. I don’t think I moved around very much while using this blanket which probably does help some people stay asleep. My husband did not like the blanket at all. He felt that it was suffocating. I say this only to warn you that weighted blankets are not for everyone.

I’ve been dealing with insomnia on and off for many years. I’m in the medical profession and therefore know all the complications associated with taking sleeping aids but working 12 hour shifts on little to no sleep at all the night before left me with no choice. So, for the past year, on and off I had to use overtime the counter and prescription medications to help me fall asleep and keep me asleep. I would still wake up in the middle of the night and sometimes stay awake, but this thankfully wouldn’t happen that often.

My wife ended up surprising me and purchasing this blanket from Amazon one day. I did do some homework (research) on the reasoning behind why weighted blanket would work and it did make sense to me logically but I just never really believed in it. So, I have the blanket a try and as soon as I covered myself with it I felt this innate feeling of safety and support that I never felt before, physically and psychologically. Not to sound weird, but I tell my patients that it feels like you are falling asleep being hugged. It’s very comforting.
I’ve been using this blanket for a few months now and I’ve stopped using prescription and over the counter sleeping aids. These blankets feel and work so well that I ended up getting one for my wife and another one for the couch in the family room, for those mid day nap times.

If you are having issues falling asleep or just want to sleep more deeply or securely, you owe it to yourself to try this blanket. Worse comes to worse you can always return it. But if it works, you and your body be forever thankful of the quality of sleep you will have.
Sure, it probably doesn’t work on everyone, but as the reviews show, it’s works on the majority of users.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this as a present for my wife. She absolutely LOVES it and she and I both can tell that she sleeps better because of it. She doesn’t move nowhere near as much and sleeps more soundly, resulting in her feeling more rested when she wakes up. The fabric is of high quality and feels very nice. The only issue that she has had is where she sleeps on the edge of the bed, twice out of about 30 nights she needed help pulling the blanket up because the majority of it was hanging off the bed and gravity took over. I bought the 20 pounder and it feels heavier than that just because of the flimsy mass. In hindsight I probably should have bought either the 10 or 15 pounder just for that reason stated. Other than that, she loves the 20 pounder. She weighs around 155 just to give you an idea. I believe the company even recommended a lighter blanket for her weight but I still went with the big daddy.

As for me…I love how it feels but I can’t sleep under it, it’s just not for me. I’m a weird sleeper though so don’t let that discourage you. I’m a big guy at 6′ and 280 pounds. I’m very hot natured and I have RLS among other things so I tend to flip around quite a bit during the night. I tried it and I just don’t like anything heavy on muh legs, totally opposite from muh wife.

The only negative thing I can say about is that as far as I know you can’t buy replacement or different covers for it. You can take the cover off to wash it but if it gets damaged you might be SOL. Maybe if I’m wrong someone will chime in. Other than that, it was a solid purchase and muh wife loves it so win win!

I take prescription medication for insomnia plus over the counter sleep aids and still have trouble sleeping. I had been interested in a weighted blanket for a while but they were so expensive. I was lucky enough to find this one from the Amazon warehouse at a discounted price and paid less than $80 for it (60″x 80″ 15 lbs. and my weight is 132 lbs.). The removable cover is a plus because I figure washing one of these would be next to impossible. Inserting the blanket in the cover was not an easy task at all but I had anticipated the extra effort. I’ll be honest, I was not expecting a miracle but I did have high expectations. I used it last night for the first time, I thought it would be much heavier but I had no trouble moving under it, and it felt really comfortable. It does strain your arms a little when you try pulling or lifting it while using it. It is too soon to dismiss the therapeutic claims and maybe I was too self conscious about it, but upon that first night of use, I cannot say the quality of my sleep changed or improved. I will keep using it and hope it will eventually help me sleep better. I do not regret buying it because it was a great value and it seems good quality. Both the blanket and cover are super soft and I feel super cozy underneath it. I will buy an extra cover for the summer months. All in all, it was a good purchase.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have made weighted blankets, and I bought a weighted blanket from another company a while ago. This is the cream of the crop. You don’t need to be Goldilocks to know that this is “Just Right.” It is made very well, and has a raised spotted side, and a soft flat side. Both sides are supremely soft in a “minky” material. I am a full grown adult with Fibromyalgia, arthritis, and major sensory issues. This blanket is absolutely perfect in size, maneuverability, weight, and softness. I can take it off when I don’t need it, double it up when I want extra weight, position it on/off the areas that are most sensitive, and even wash the cover. It doesn’t make you hot, which is convenient as I am also a woman “of a certain age,” but just adds the necessary weight. It even looks beautiful. It seems like a lot of $, but it is most definitely worth the cost. Just be sure that you order the weight level best for your need. 10% of your body weight is recommended. Where I have so much pain, I went on the lighter end. Another tip if you have a chronic illness is to get a long pregnancy pillow to put on either side of you and put the weighted blanket on top. It will help keep the blanket off certain areas (eg. ankles or feet) but you still have that weight where you want it. It can also help reposition the blanket easier.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI received this blanket as a Christmas gift since I basically, have restless leg. I honestly don’t know how I feel about it. The first two nights that I put the blanket entirely over me, I slept awful. I was just too hot and uncomfortable — I really wish the outside covering was cotton and not polyester. I then moved it down to about half my body (primarily over my legs) and that helped. The problems are a few. First, as I said, it is hot. Let me start with I freeze my husband in our bedroom every winter by closing our bedroom doors and closing the vent. Our room can reach 50 degrees F some nights (hence it’s not my bedroom that is causing the heat). That said, we sleep with a sheet and comforter, with a quilt sometimes over the bed if it is that cold (if it’s above 55, the quilt comes off). It wasn’t the coldest of nights (probably about 58 degrees in the room) when I tried just the weighted blanket over my sheet, and I roasted. Whether or not it will be too warm for you depends on your body. Second, I have the 15 pound blanket as that is what was recommended — 10% of my weight plus one pound. It is heavy! I like it as it does “cocoon” you, but if you are like me and move a fair amount in your sleep (switch sides, etc), I seem to always wake now when I move as it is just too hard to move under all that weight! This was especially true when I tried covering my whole body — I couldn’t stand it as I “couldn’t move”! Since I’ve moved it to half my body, it isn’t as hard to switch positions, but I still am more aware of moving than I used to be. Third, I don’t know about others, but my spouse doesn’t want/need the blanket, so I have to try to keep it on my side which makes it hang off the bed more than it should and this also adds more weight. It’s not ideal. Finally, does it help my restless legs? Hard to say. I seem to have less restlessness in them as I don’t feel the “I need to stretch them” sensation and I don’t kick out as much. Unfortunately, I don’t know if this is just my legs giving me a break or the blanket, though I’m leaning toward blanket which is why I think I’m keeping it. I knew I was getting this blanket as a gift and I was really looking forward to using it but honestly, I don’t know if it was the best investment or not. If it wasn’t so expensive, I’d say “Great! Try it.” However, since it is expensive, I’m a bit torn about keeping it (it may help but other parts of it I don’t like — like I fear it will be WAY too hot in the summer plus I don’t like being woken when I move). Sorry this probably confuses you more, but take whatever part fits you most (do you get hot? do you move a lot?) and maybe that part can help answer any question you may have.

I grew up in the midwest and a 2 story house with no heat to speak of upstairs (where I slept). Mom would use these big heavy quilted blankets on our beds for warmth and it’s a feeling that I’ve never forgotten but never had until now. Using my Quility weighted blanket on the first night brought it all back and reminded me of the feeling of being safe and secure in that dark cold room all alone. Thanks for that!

    On to the blanket itself:
I did a ton of research reading reviews and trying to find the proper weight that fit the bill. 25 lbs. was perfect I think as it feels like a hug when you’re under it. I have no doubts that I’ll enjoys years of goodness from this blanket. I fall asleep faster and wake more energized than I ever did with a comforter. It’s not hot like I imagined and the Duvet cover is very soft and plush. After following the instructions, the cover went on easier than I thought just by tying the 8 ties through the weighted blanket loops and turning the Duvet right side out. The blanket hasn’t slipped from the cover and the beads are sewn into small pockets that evenly distribute the weight. It’s nice to know that I can remove the Duvet cover on laundry day to keep it clean and that I’ve bought a product that is made in the U.S.A. when so little seems to be these days.
I can’t recommend this weighted blanket more heartily if you are in the market. Do as I did and research, research, research, then come back for this one because it’s perfect! The follow up emails from the manufacturer asking about my satisfaction and willingness to answer any questions left me with no doubt that this company will be around for as long as people need a good nights sleep.

Golden Review Award: 45 From Our UsersAfter looking in to several different weighted blankets, I bit the bullet and ordered this 15 pound one. I was hesitant just because I had never used one and didn’t want to be disappointed. I AM NOT! This blanket is tremendous! First off, the quality is much better than I had thought. It has several ties that attach the blanket to the cover on the inside, then zips up down one side. The blanket doesn’t move inside the cover at all. Most importantly, I can’t feel the beads at all. I was at a store and felt a different brand to see what it was like, and I’m so glad I didn’t get that one—it was as if I was feeling BBs enclosed in material. They shifted around and gathered together. When I first felt this blanket, I swear I thought they had left the beads out—they are so tiny that you can’t feel the individual beads between the layers of fabric. For reference, I am 130 pounds and this one is plenty heavy—maybe could have used a 12 pound one but this will be fine!
Now to my first use—heavenly! I have always pulled covers up over me, even when not cold, because I just like the feel. I had no idea that what I was really wanting was this weight! I put it over me while watching tv or in bed and it just feels secure-safe. No other way to describe it. My 21 year old son asked if he could try it and he loved it as well. I’m pretty sure he is going to be ordering one for himself. Even my husband snatched it from me last night and used it while watching tv.
Short end of it, if you are thinking of buying a weighted blanket, I HIGHLY recommend this one. I haven’t had it long enough to speak of the durability…how long will it last, will the beads ever leak, etc…but from what I can tell, it’s a good as it gets.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersMy partner wanted a weighted blanket for his birthday. I researched them somewhat extensively trying to make sure we got one that was high quality. I came across an article that reviewed them by different criteria and the quility blankets had a high overall ranking and I liked that they came with a duvet so that it could be easily washed. It was also a reasonable price. We love it! It has the hypoallergenic glass beads and the duvet is super soft and cozy. I put a three under the assembly ranking just because we actually did struggle to get the duvet on, but that is probably more user error and the blanket is so heavy it can be tricky to move it around. The extra weight definitely feels good when it’s keeping you cozy underneath it.

I get migraines that are tied up with neuralgia and muscle spasms. My entire body can tense up in a storm of pain when I am in one of these headache cycles. I bought this 20# weighted blanket (on the heavy side for my weight bracket) because I have found relief using sandbags (of the type used in yoga practice) on a few areas of my body, so I thought even applying even pressure everywhere might be calming. I am pleased with the swaddling effect the blanket provides — but for naps or dozing “liedowns” only. I cannot imagine sleeping overnight with this much weight on me. I don’t think it would be healthy.

To use this as a calming aid, I lie on my back on my bed with my head and shoulders supported with a couple pillows. It’s very important to support your neck whenever you apply weight to the body, and you might want to out a pillow under your knees. I cross my arms over my upper chest — corpselike — with the weighted blanket pulled up to my chin. A weighted eye pillow is a nice addition, or even a soft pillow placed across your forehead. My body calms within 10 minutes. After about 20-30 minutes, I achieve that sleepy, delicious, woozy feeling that is akin to sedation.

I do wish the blanket was offered in a narrower size. It is much wider than it needs to be. Much of the weight is in the part of the blanket that is not covering your body. Although it helps to hold you in place, it seems to be wasted. Maybe the manufacturers is allowing for larger bodies, but I think this should be offered in a few sizes.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI love this blanket. The weight is very evenly distributed so that it sort of cocoons around me without my feeling constrained or confined. The construction is of high quality and the color of the blanket (grey) is perfect. The “minky” cover feels great but I get too hot under it so I ordered the smooth cotton cover. I sleep more soundly under this blanket and my restless leg symptoms are dramatically reduced. It may be the placebo effect, but it beats the heck out of medication and it’s not harmful.

One thing I was concerned about when purchasing this blanket would be the beads moving around, sometimes they do clump up in the 6inch square portions but they do stay in their separate sections. If a part of the blanket is hanging off the bed you can feel it pulling down because of the gravity so it may seem that the corners are heavier then they actually are, so I keep the whole blanket on top the mattress. The shifting of the beads does not bother me too much because the weight is still consistent though it does make a slight noise like a bean bag, not too loud but still audible.

It took a few days to get used to the weight, I didn’t sleep well at first but after a few days it was perfect. I have to resist the urge to crawl back into bed in the morning now after I wake up, because it’s so comfy. I got a slightly heavier blanket than was recommended, the 20 pound. It’s like the blanket is hugging me, it’s a pleasant sensation.
I have a history of anxiety, waking up in the middle of the night, long bouts of insomnia, I also tend to move around a lot in my sleep. The blanket does stop me from moving around too much and I didn’t wake up in the middle of the night yesterday, so I’ll call that a success. It’s a really nice cozy blanket with a super soft cover.

I don’t have any other weighted blankets to compare to but I don’t regret buying this at all. It’s the nicest blanket I’ve ever owned.

EDIT: After a few months of use, I still suffer occasionally from insomnia. Don’t expect a cure, but its still a nicely made blanket.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersHappy the weighted blanket itself didn’t have any issue with losing the weight material (read about competitors having that issue). And the weight seems to stay where originally put. I see what one person mentioned about not being a full size blanket. It basically, just barely covers the top of my queen mattress along the side edges, but was long enough to hang down at the bottom a little. But this isn’t a good choice for normal blanket needs. I ended up testing with a comforter and separate blanket as the cover was hard to put on, but without another layer I was cold…which might be a bonus in summer (guessing the weight material conducts heat well).

Cover was difficult to put on. Probably could have done it, but didn’t want the effort of removing it later on (in summer when I didn’t want insulation). Think a wider zipper area could have helped (full side instead of about 3/5 opening), and I agree something other than loops + tie downs at the corners and middle of the top/bottom seems a better option (maybe metal snaps?)

Sadly the final straw is I cannot sleep under this thing. I bought the recommended 10% of my body weight version, and it does feel pretty good when I first go to sleep…maybe a little heavy/trapping, but comforting too. Sadly twice now I’ve woken 3-4 hours later in pain, and feel like I’m being smothered. Guessing my not great circulation is the issue and maybe a lighter version would be better. Still considering my options here, but this one is going back and if I do buy another it’ll be without the cover.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis blanket has improved my sleep by at least 100 percent. For years, I laid awake waiting for the alarm to ring, tossing and turning for long periods of time during the night. The best sleep I had was the two or three hours after going to bed, and after that time, it was a lost cause. Many nights I slept better sitting on the couch than I did in my bed. However, now, with my new Quility Blanket, I find myself sleeping until the alarm rings and desperately wishing I didn’t have to get up. I never, ever would have imagined that to be possible. I awake refreshed, not stiff and aching; I feel well rested, and not “hung over” from hours of struggling to make myself sleep.

I have taken medication for restless leg syndrome for years; I now find that I no longer need that medication. One less medication is enough reason to love this blanket – before I even get to listing all the other positive benefits.

All that being said, I may have purchased a blanket that was one size too heavy. I erred on the side of caution because too light would not have served its purpose, and I decided that too heavy couldn’t be a bad thing. I’m glad that I decided in that direction, and I would advise anyone purchasing the blanket to do the same. Of course, the return policy is so customer-friendly that making a bad decision is not difficult to rectify. I only mention it for those who might be struggling with their body weight being right on the line between one blanket and the next one up or down.

All in all, I have never slept better and I could not be happier with this purchase. I highly recommend it for anyone who doesn’t sleep well, for whatever reason.

Golden Review Award: 47 From Our UsersAfter ordering a weighted blanket from a local seamstress, and getting an absolute rubbish product delivered to us, I placed an order for a 20 pound 60″x80″ weighted blanket made by Quility for my son. We ordered one with a blue minky cover, and it is so soft! The interior weighted blanket seems to be very well-made. What made me go with Quility over other very similar weighted blankets on Amazon was that the Quility blankets have 8 ties that connect the blanket and the cover. I saw some other brands that only had 4. I think having the 8 connection ties will help the blanket and the cover to last longer, as it helps the blanket and the cover stay together, as opposed to having to position the cover, and then kind of yank the weighted blanket into place separately–8 ties means the blanket and the cover move together. Am I making sense here?

My son has autism, and has experienced anxiety with sleeping his entire life. Before the Quility blanket arrived, he was sleeping with 5 blankets on top of him, even in summer, just for that pressure. Now he is only using the weighted blanket, and he is so grateful.

    I highly recommend this blanket!

    Great quality!

Golden Review Award: 290 From Our UsersI purchased two of these. One 5lb for a child and one 20lb for myself. I went heavier for mine than the recommended body weight percentage on the chart. The blankets come nicely packaged. The weighted blanket has square sections with tiny pellets of weights that do move within the square sections. They are not loose within the entire blanket. The weight measures exact folded on a scale.
The weighted section is dry clean only while the cover is machine washable. The cover is not padded but soft. It is like a slip case with ribbon ties to fit within tabs on weighted blanket to help keep in place inside the cover or else it would be similar to a bean bag and just slide to a ball. All as advertised. Shipped earlier than suggested.
The reason I purchased was because I have lupus and the pain at night is intense and my sleep is always disturbed. I have only used this two nights and I don’t know that it does or doesn’t help but it does prevent the tossing and turning because you are weighted down. I hope eventually it will help me sleep. I do like them and recommend this purchase if you are shipping this type of blanket. The cover is made for the specific blanket and comes with it. Easy and convenient. The price is lower than gravity blankets and does the same thing. Good luck to anyone struggling with something that prevents sleep. Hopefully this is helpful for you.

    Enjoying i

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersThe quilty is a great product. I love the soft material. It was easy to put the duvet cover on. The only thing I wish was that I had bought one a little smaller to get the full effect of the weight. I bought the 60×80 and I wish now that I would have bought the 48×78. It’s the 15 lbs. When the blanket it bigger the weight is distributed over a larger area. I feel like along with suggestions for the weight of the blanket there should also be suggestions for size based on a person height. If I double the blanket over I can few more weight.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI had thought about buying a weighted blanket for a while in order to help me sleep. I haven’t been sleeping well since I was pregnant — so for about 18 months. It takes me a long time to fall asleep, and I wake up several times per night, and it takes me a long time to get back to sleep each time. I would start to nod off in the evening, but then once I climbed into bed, I had a very hard time falling sleep. A lot of it is anxiety, racing thoughts, etc. I was exhausted and getting desperate. My sister bought a weighted blanket and said it helped her sleep much better, so I asked my husband for one for my birthday. Neither of us knew what to look for, so we scoured through Amazon together and settled on this one for several reasons:

. I only wanted a twin-sized blanket because my husband said he wouldn’t use one.
. My sister has a 15-lb blanket and suggested I go a little heavier, so I chose 20-lb
. I liked how this one came with a cover, so I knew the cover would fit and hold up well to the weight of the blanket. It ended up being cheaper to buy this one than purchasing a blanket and cover separately, too.
    . The positive reviews!

I washed the cover as soon as I received the blanket and I’ve used it for 3 nights so far. These are my thoughts:

. I had been afraid that the weight of the blanket would suffocate me or make it hard to breathe. Not the case! It’s like a hug. I’ve always liked sleeping under the weight of a lot of blankets, and that’s what this feels like.
. It’s a little warm. I’ve been sweaty at night lately, so it’s not just the blanket. And honestly it’s not nearly as hot as I’d feared it would be. For being so heavy, it’s very breathable.
. The cover is heavy-duty, thick and soft. It’s like sweatshirt material.
. Definitely helps me fall asleep faster, and I don’t wake up as often!
. My husband actually tried out the blanket first, and promptly declared that he would keep it if I didn’t like it. And last night, I had pushed it aside because I got sweaty, and a little while later I woke up to the sound of him stealing it and covering himself with it.
. The blanket is held into the cover by a series of buttons and loops on the inside of the cover, and then there’s a zipper closure. There are a lot of buttons (they’re placed every other square on the blanket), so it’s a but pain to take off and a HUGE pain to put back on, especially if you miss a button, but the blanket is held in very securely. I am a little worried about the longevity of the thread that holds the buttons on, but I could re-attach them if necessary.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersI bought the queen size and it fits the top of the mattress only (which I knew prior to buying). The issue is that when you roll over if sleeping with the blanket, you pull the entire thing with you, as you can’t really lift it in your sleepy state to turn without pulling it with you. Its so heavy, that its difficult to raise it and turn over or get feet propped up, etc. After reading several suggestions about weighted blankets and getting wt within a certain % of your body weight, we went with the 25 lbs. Its so difficult to even get under and settled under it. We tried to love it… We tried for about a week. Its currently laying on the chest in our room, as we will not be able to use this product. Sadly, we bought this product when it was $150…so it’s a complete waste.

The product does seem to be well made. There wasn’t really that bad of an odor in the blanket, as others have claimed. It was a 2 person job to get the duvet cover over it due to the weight. I def dont see me removing to clean the cover…as I can’t imagine having to do it twice!

Seems like most of my issues with the blanket are to no fault of the seller, but of my own…I was hoping this product was going to help me get a better nights sleep, but that has not been the case at all. I had decided not to write a review, but keep getting emails from the seller requesting a review…sooo….here it is. Is it made well? yes! Would I buy it again? Id like to try a lighter weighted blanket, but dont see me spending another $150 for the item not to work for me.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersThis is an awesome blanket!!! I bought it for my son who has Asperger’s Syndrome. He is grown now but Aspies never outgrow it, unfortunately.

If I were to buy it again, I would have bought the 25-pound blanket. I thought 20-pounds wiuld be crazy heavy but he said a few more pounds would be even nicer. (He is 6′ 4″ and 220 pounds so….listen to the suggestion of 10% body weight plus a couple pounds.)

He was conceryabout how hot it would get but he said it is not too hot, even in the summer. And my wife loves the removable cover.

It is very well made and durable. He uses it to watch TV as well as sleep. And my wife and daughter try to sneak it wvery chance they get. All three said it provides the awesome feeling of being hugged. I don’t know…maybe? I guess?

Although it’s not for me, all three of them love it. I mentioned this blanket to a friend who has an autistic child and he seemed to enjoy it so much that my friend bought one for himself!

So take it from FIVE people: this blanket is awesome!

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersIts a solid quality blanket which you might expect for the price. It is sown in such a way that the weighting material (beads I guess) is kept in sections so it cant become too lopsided. The thing I would say is that if you aren’t use to a weighted blanket, it can be a little strange to sleep under. I don’t know how much of the anxiety reduction it might provide, but if like me you find the x-ray blanket at the dentist really relaxing, I highly suggest it. Not for nothing, but it can get super warm because it is thick, so best not to nap under it in an otherwise hot room.
