1. Q：Pls help! eager to get roadtop if it can do this(i can channel audio to car’s bluetooth for steering control )
A：Yes, if your original car has factory bluetooth function and you choose our bluetooth transmission method to get the screen sound, you can adjust the screen volume and select next or previous song though the steering wheel.
2.Q：If i choose to used wired carplay, will the usb port charge my phone in addition to passing data?
A：USB port can charger your phone after USB connection during the wireless or wired connections.
3. Q: how do you switch it off (without unplugging the lead)?
A：When you remove car key to turn off your car engine, this unit can be turned off too. Or you can remove our car charger to your car cigarette lighter port.
4. Q：Why my car can’t connect to the unit bluetooth?
A：Please remove your other bluetooth connection history from your original car system, and then restar the car engine, and don’t connect your phone to your original car bluetooth at the same times.
5. Q：How can i set the day and night mode brightness automatically?
Due to the screen don’t have time setup, so you needs to be set manually.

1. After you reset the factory, you will see a “Demo Software” logo on the screen, just get a new software update from us to fix this issue.
2. If you have high requirements for sound quality, please choose the Bluetooth sound method. For some before 2016 year car, original car bluetooth is below 5.0, so you may face sound delay issue by bluetooth, at that time, you can choose aux or FM.
I had been thinking about getting one of these for a while now but I was a little hesitant. I finally decided to go for it and I am so glad that I did. This is a brilliant bit of kit.
It arrived well packaged and with everything as advertised. Most people will use the mounting bracket and suction cup provided but I have done something a little different. I wanted to mount the display directly onto my existing LCD screen which I have no use for. This way it looks more like part of the car rather than having it floating on top of the dash. To do this I used Command Strips. Three of them affixed to the back of the unit. I had to unscrew the the little ball joint bracket to get a flush back but this took a few seconds. Then I applied the unit to the dash with the command strips. I was worried this might not hold but I can assure you that it is rock solid. I have been over potholes, speed bumps and country lanes with no wobbles at all. It’s absolutely set in place and isn’t going anywhere. But I can remove it if I want to as it’s basically Velcro.
I have the unit connected with the aux cable which I have hidden behind my head unit. I’ve run the power cable behind my centre console and to the arm rest where I have a 12 volt power source. It took less than thirty minutes to do all of this.
The unit looks smart and works brilliantly. When I start the engine the unit boots up. It takes about 30 seconds and then auto launches CarPlay when it detects my iPhone. CarPlay works as it should. Maps, music, podcasts, audible, WhatsApp, messages, Siri, etc. it’s all fast and impressive.
The screen is nice and wide so lots of info can be displayed. It’s a pleasure to use. The touch screen is really responsive. I am chuffed to bits with this. It’s transformed my car.
I wanted to change the boot logo to the Saab logo to match my car. The Saab logo was not available. A quick email to the RoadTop team and they provided me with a file and some instructions. I had the logo installed and working pretty quickly.
They are good at responding to emails. They want to help and they are good at answering questions so don’t be afraid to ask.
Oh and I was pleasantly surprised to find a reverse camera in the box. I hadn’t even noticed that when I ordered it. I haven’t installed it yet but that is something that I plan to do.
I really can’t recommend this unit enough. It modernises old cars and brings them up to date. It makes driving safer. No need for the phone cradle anymore. I love it.
Apologies for some of my photos not being great. It’s always dark at night so I’ve struggled to take good shots. The Saab logo looks a thousand times better than it appears on the photo.
I bought this mainly as an upgrade to the outdated factory SatNav. Especially during long trips, using my phone to navigate is not very practical either. Roadtop device actually exceeded my expectations. In addition to navigation through familiar apps such as Waze, Google maps etc. it opened the door for a whole set of other facilities such as the ability to stream music through Spotify and Amazon music, answering calls and reading text messages to name a few. It also comes with a really decent reverse camera. I am truly happy with this addition to my car and would recommend to anyone looking for a good device to run Apple car play. I should especially appreciate the quality of the screen.
Have tried a few cheaper types of these kind of devices and all have had their setbacks. On this one there can be a bit of a lag when connected via Bluetooth on calls, but Bluetooth lag is a pretty well known phenomena.
I use the FM transmission to connect to my radio and it works incredibly well.
Screen is clear and crisp, screen is shiny but visible is bright daylight.
Works great as a hands free kit, sat nav and for playing music from Spotify or YouTube.
Only criticism is no shortcut when in maps to turn the FM transmitter on or off or change the volume, that would be a welcome feature but overall very pleased with this product and can highly recommend. Would also like to use “Hey Google” without having to press the google button. The mount options are great too, very solid and confident the device is not going to stay sturdy.
Got this for my car as the unit in it didn’t have CarPlay and I couldn’t replace it as it controlled the aircon,radio.heating,and other things so thought I’d give this agobut I didn’t like the suction holder that came with it as I want it to look as factory fitted as I could ..so I used 2xL brackets and attached magnets to the back of the unit and it holds it great and if you park anywhere doggy you can simple remove it and put in glove box I wired it direct to the fuse box so it turns on and off when I lock or unlock the car ..it’s a great bit off kit and does exactly what I want and more
The first thing I done when I bought this was to cut off the supplied power adapter and hard wire it directly to an ignition source on the car fuse board running the wires where they can’t be seen, once this was done I set about setting it up, two minutes later it was done and to say I was impressed is an understatement, it really is a high quality bit of kit, it looks and feels quality and does everything you’d expect, if you are reading this you are obviously thinking about purchasing one, take it from me you are about to make a good choice, it works faultlessly with TomTom Go and Sygic sat Nav apps and plays music without a fault, Siri works really well even with the roof down the mic picks up most of my commands, go on get it ordered
Amazon quick delivery as usual,ought to be for the price, However it works well with my ageing Grand Cherokee ZJ with the infinity amp gold system CD/Radio/Cassette which I didn’t fancy ripping out, already have a bass bin in the boot, had to do several reboots of the unit to get into FM pairing and put a mini sd card into the slot with all my favorite music to test the audio…The manual included has the smallest font possible, better off reading the splurge on the main advert to suss out out which input /output does what…Have yet to put the camera in, and also playback movies from card usb or phone mirroring, the audio has a decent EQ with
several presets, turn your volume down on phone and your car system when first setting up, i set mine around 50/50 on each to save your speakers/eardrums, the pre-amp on the unit is fairly powerful, the dual socket fitting not required for the jeep as it already has a pair as standard, blue-tooth connection from phone to unit pairs fairly quickly, easy to swap audio streams. My only complaint is taking off the screen unit which is quite fiddly, when not in use as pads are now fixed firmly to dash top and the bracket arm really steady ,as it’s certainly Nickable when in strange car-parks.
I’m also going to try a cassette cartridge converter for AUX for the mobile calls….intelligent switching?

CarPlay is a nice simple interface and the screen is the perfect size. It’s made long journeys so much more pleasant as I was stuck with just fm radio and a CD player.
I’m very pleased with the Roadtop. The software is solid and the touch screen is very responsive. I hard wired the unit using a 12v socket hard wired under dashboard. My car is a Audi A4 B6 2002 and I connected the system to my Parrot Parrot MKi9200. My IPhone is connected via Bluetooth. To have two Bluetooth connections on one device is impressive. I cannot comment the quality of the line out or FM transmitter but as for the blue tooth the sound is perfect. There’s a cooling fan in the unit but the noise from it is not excessive and you cannot hear it about the car Engine noise or when you have sound playing.

Rear camera was not working . I contacted the seller a new camera was sent to me within the next few days after installing the camera everything was working perfect .I recommend this product to anyone
Bought this for my Astra and Mx5. It’s great being able to switch car quickly. It’s better than changing the radio because the device is in a better location and it is so much more convenient.
I have a Mitsubishi Outlander phev MY16 with the original OEM head unit. THis allows me to have carplay without needed to retrofit another headunit.

Hi I have been looking at different types of these for ages and I finally bit the bullet as I was nervous that they would be crap! Well I’m glad I did bite the bullet. I have just installed it into the car and it’s amazing, the quality of the screen and accessories are really good the screen is so crisp. Easy to install and all sticky pads/ suction cups are good quality. Everything works amazing apart from if I connect my car to the device via Bluetooth when I make or receive phone calls the other person says the call is delayed, but I have found a way around by connecting the audio through transmitter or you can do through aux but my car doesn’t have that. Over all it’s amazing and I’m very chuffed with it.
Such an amazing CarPlay option for those looking to upgrade! Very easy to set up. Really couldn’t fault it and well worth the money.

The 8.8 inches design makes it looks like it is an oem part. Just make sure you route the cables and tuck them in nicely.

Really good device, very quick and smooth, sounds good through the stereo using the aux cable, I’ll hard wire it now As it’s definitely staying.
