I formally carried a cheap portable air compressor which I stripped from the plastic case to carry on my motorcycle. This product has great utility and capability. Very easy to use and fills fairly rapidly compared to the portable units which run off the cigarette lighter for power.

I mostly use the device for my car tyre inflation and the air flow throughout it is fast and it can fill air in tyre within no time. The device is easy to use and as it has a battery inbuilt it makes easy to use. The air pressure accuracy is approximately correct.

Have been using it for a month now and holds up the charge properly. My tires drop pressure often from 32 PSI to around 26-28 PSI. Takes about a minute to top it up every week.

I have only used it once to fill up all four of my tires after a significant weather change. It is lightweight and pretty self explanatory. The power was decent and filled my tires as quickly as our standard air compressor. It’s a great little emergency tool to have on hand. Especially if you’re one who doesn’t regularly check your spare.

I have a problem with one of my lawn mower tires going flat if it sits wrong. I keep it in a shed that doesn’t have power so I needed something portable. I have used this several times. While the product is very compact and easy to use it is extremely loud, especially in an enclosed space. It’s kind of annoying and if you have sensitive hearing I would not recommend this one. This is the best portable air compressor for topping off all car tire pressures. Smaller than a walkie-talkie, easiest, most accurate, and reliable way of checking and topping -off the air pressure in your car tires for smooth and safe travels. This Ryseab portable air inflator compressor is all you’re gonna need for quick tire checks and very easy to get exact tire pressures maintained without using any those air compressor hoses or electrical wires at all! Rechargeable like your cell phone! Holds a charge even after use. Has a battery power indicator. Recommend for checking all car tire pressure and quickly filling ’em up.

  57. Jacquie Walker, News 4 Anchor says:

We bought this portable inflator because we had a tire with a slow leak that would lose 3-10 psi per week. The RYSEAB was perfect for this situation because 1) we only had to inflate 3-10 psi per use and 2) we used the RYSEAB every 7-10 days. The cons to those pros were 1) the orange connection point would get hot after at 2 mins and VERY hot after longer than 4 mins, so using the RYSEAB for more than two tires can really heat that connection point up to a scalding point, 2) The charge holds pretty well for a couple of weeks but like any device like this, the charge will dissipate over time so the more use the better because you remember to charge the device more often. I wouldn’t leave it in the trunk because you’ll forget that you had it there until you need it and the batteries will probably be drained. But the device is perfect for for a quick pump of tires and and excellent for sports balls – for it’s portability, size, and convenience. If you need an inflator that you will use frequently for more than 4 minutes at a time, I’d get something beefier.

Only had this for a month, or so, but so far, so good! One of my favorite purchases in a long time! So useful. Have a slow leak in two of my car tires that I’ve had the shop look at numerous times without finding the cause of the leak…. so it’s frequent trips to the nearest gas station for the air compressor. Thought about buying my own tank compressor, until I saw this on a random YouTube video. This does the job perfectly and I can bring it with me on long weekend trips – no problem! Had a complete flat on my ride mower… took care of it no problem. My bike tires have never been so happy (or properly inflated)! Can’t speak to the reliability over time, but for the convenience, price, usefulness, and functionality I can’t imagine anything better! For someone who doesn’t need a tank compressor for frequent, professional, or big jobs, this is it!

This small tire pump is handy and doesn’t require being plugged in to an electrical outlet or the car’s 12v outlet. It easily has enough power to top off all four tires without draining the battery. In fact, the display showed the battery still had four bars of power even after I added several pounds to each tire. It is simple to use. It’s a great addition to the trunk of my car.

Really, really LOUD and Vibrates all over the place. It may well disturb your neighbors if you live in a quiet neighborhood, as I do. It’s nice and small and works well otherwise. The only bad part about the controls is the way they chose to control it using a short or longer press. It would be easy accidentally to turn it on and start inflating a tire when the intent was to turn it off or to adjust the pressure. Overall, though, it works well and doesn’t take Too long to inflate tires that aren’t flat. If they were flat, I’m guessing you’ll need to be patient. It’s very portable, though, only the size of a small box, so it’s great for keeping in your car. It would even fit in a glove compartment if you don’t have too much else already in there.

Battery life lasts for dozens (40+) fill ups on 40psi car tires. Personally keep it in my travel bag I take on my bike not only for it’s easy of travel but also for it’s ability to refill tires up to 50psi. It does get a little hot after a pair of tires going that high, but it goes up to 30 pounds in like a minute which is more than enough for most people. Quite happy to have this little tool around the house and got my road trips.

A little noisy but it needs to be to get to the pressures available. The accuracy shows a pound different from my accurate gauges. It’s slow to add pressure but great size for storage.

I used this to inflator right out of the box and had enough charge to bring (6) standard car tires to proper inflation.
I must say that after an initial charge with a full battery indication on the screen, it stopped inflation only after a minute, and I had to connect to re-charge once again. After a second re-charge, (showing full battery indication), I was about to bring two standard tires, and (4) smaller (30 psi maximum) garden cart tires to proper inflation and it has kept this charge. Time will tell if this battery charging issue remains or was just a fluke.

I like this compressor. I bought it because I had a leaky tire and I need to constantly monitor its tire pressure before I can get it fixed at the garage. It is easy to use. Since I do not have another gauge to calibrate, so I cannot say anything about it accuracy. The only issue I have with this compressor is that the end of the hose which screws into the compressor is not regular size and I cannot find any replacement hose for it when I lost my hose. This is where I would like to say thank you to the seller, and some criticism for the Amazon’s agents.
Since I can’t find a replacement hose, I connected with an Amazon agent regarding getting a replacement hose, the first agent was so kind as to tell me that he was able to get a free replacement for me, and that I can keep the compressor without returning it. So I thank the person, but not long after I closed the chat, I received an email that I must return the item within 7 days or I will be charged for it. So I had to connect with another Amazon agent and asked the person what happened, do I need or not need to send the item back, and I was assured by the second agent that I can ignore that email and he/she had fixed it for me. So I closed the chat, but without about 2-3 hours, I received an email again saying that I need to return the item within a certain time. I have enough and decided to return it regardless. I then email the seller directly asking if I can buy a replacement hose and was informed that they do not sell the hose separately, but they are happily to mail me one. I was overwhelmed with their support and without about 3 days I got the replacement hose. So 5 stars for the seller, but not for the two Amazon agents who kept telling me one thing and then followed up with a contradictory email after. The compressor itself works very well although it is a little bit noisy, but I think other compressors have the same noise level and probably makes no difference among different brands.

This is a great little gadget, a far cry from the clunker I’ve been carrying around in my car for years. It works exactly as advertised. It came about 3/4 charged; I charged it completely with a 5V/2A QC (Quick Charger) which I had bought for my Lenovo tablet. It should also charge from a PC USB port, alhtough I have not tried that yet. You can set the desired pressure, and the pump will turn off automatically. There are adapters for bicycles, basketballs, and other balls. The only drawback is that the smaller indicators in the LED display are impossible to read in sunlight, even when shaded, so I suggest using it at night, if possible. It is possible to read the larger display, which is the preset tire pressure, so by jiggling the buttons randomly until you see that number (typically 36), you can be sure that the setup is correct.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersUPDATE: customer support worked quickly to resolve the issue (1 week all together). THANK YOU!!
They sent me the unit that is identical to what is advertised (see pics). They determined that similar units are being repackaged when returned to amazon. The device works awesome!

    ORIGINAL:
Advertisement indicates 4 attachments ( I received 3) & the hose with clip-on feature to the tire (I’m missing the clip-on feature). Needing to screw each attachment to the hose is not what I want to be fiddling with – especially in cold weather.
Based on one of the customer reviews, they received a bag to store the unit – no bag. No instructions, so went back to Amazon ad to guess my way thru it.

Upside… after a while was able to screw the end onto the wheelbarrow tire & inflated it. No auto off, even tho I set it to stop at 30 PSI. It did pump up quickly from 0 PSI. It was nice not having to plug anything into a car cigarette lighter! Portability is awesome.

Will be contacting the company to send the clip-on feature, so I don’t have to screw everything together.

Almost what the advertisement shows -- RESOLVED

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI just bought this little battery powered compressor for my trailer break down kit.

This little compressor is fantastic. It is light, remarkably small, and powerful. It was well packaged and delivered by Amazon the next day. I saw this on a recommended link in Road and Track and decided to give it a try. On sale for $42, I figured I didn’t have much to lose.

The instructions were clear and easy to understand. I charged it up with the included USB connector, screwed in the hose, and I was ready to go.

I wanted to top off my trailer tires before an upcoming trip, and they need 80 PSI. This would be a good test. Hooking it up with the locking connector to the stem of the tire was easy. Turning it on, it showed me the current tire pressure on the digital display. I was at 60 PSI. Using the plus button, I turned it up to 80 PSI and hit the start button. The compressor came right on and I could see the pressure increase as it ran. I sat it on the floor and let it run. The large display was easy to read from across the garage. It took about 5 minutes to reach 80, but it got there! It ran steady throughout, and there was no sign of laboring near the end. It gets hot, and it is loud. At the set pressure, it shut off automatically.

I repeated the process on the other tire, and it work just as well. In 10 minutes of running, it used about 3/4 of the battery charge. After unhooking, I put the compressor back on the charger. Being careful around the orange connector, it was pretty hot. After reaching a full charge, I packaged it up. Putting it away with the instructions, adapter tips, charger cable, it all fit in its own carrying bag.

I really like this little device. It even has a small LED light that could be used in a pinch. Running off an internal battery, it is so much easier than using a compressor with a power cord. It goes through the battery pretty quickly, but should have no problem re-inflating a flat tire. This and a can of Fix-A-Flat might be all that is needed. It is a nice small addition to my breakdown kit.

The unit I received held very little charge. The seller indicated it may be a defective unit and offered to send another. I had already returned and been refunded for the original, and so it didn’t seem appropriate to take the new one from them. The seller was very helpful and willing to support their product.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought two RYSEAB Tire Inflators (D16) five months ago. One of them was a gift for my friend. Both of them worked great until the end of the last month. My friend’s one is still working well so far but mine stopped working. Looked like the pressure sensor or related circuits had a problem. The pump could not inflate my bike tire. I could turn it on normally but I could not inflate my tire. After starting, the pressure read on display quickly reached a high level and passed the maximum level I set previously then the pump stopped.

I used my hand air pump to inflate the tire to 25 PSI then I measured the pressure with the RYSEAB Tire Inflator (D16) . The display on RYSEAB Tire Inflator showed 150 PSI.

Via Amazon I contacted the RYSEAB. They gave me some tech support (told me how to reset the pump), but it didn’t work. Then RYSEAB mailed me a new one (see the picture). I tested the new pump yesterday and it worked greatly. I was impressed by their efficiency. From when I found the problem to when I got a new D16, it was only one week!

    Their after-sales service is excellent!

My RYDEAB portable tire inflator works great (as advertised) I had initial problem with turning product on, e.g., pressing and holding down start for a few more seconds vice a quick press! 74. KennithPks says:

Update: the seller reached out even though the return date had passed and replaced the unit! They explained that some batteries, on rare occasions, may be faulty regarding holding a charge after initial usage. I never had a problem with the function of the unit, just the degraded battery life after the initial first few months. The new unit is working as expected and keeping the charge as expected. I raised my review from a 2 to a 4 based on the great customer support resolving this issue and the new unit working as originally expected.

Original review: When I first got this, it would take 2 tires from 20psi to 40psi on a full battery to dead. In just over two months, it will only charge to 2 out of 4 bars on the built-in battery meter and it will only take one tire from 30psi to 40psi before it is dead. My suggestion is to look for a better unit, even if it costs more.

  75. Anonymous says:

     United States

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNow one could surmise that the manufacturer only tested this inflator in a dark environment. The 1st unit I received had such a dim LED display that it was totally unusable in bright outside light, so I returned it to Amazon for a replacement. Well that 2nd unit is only marginally better. Based on my experience I suspect that all the photos on the item page could have been digitally altered to make the displays look brighter and contrasty. My use case is to take this with on my ebike rides on gravel trails, so I guess If ever I needed to pump the tires I would have to find some branches or perhaps a jacket to cover the display so I can read it. The second issue is that they use black indented icons on black push buttons, so very difficult to discern. It would have been so easy for them to imprint the icons with a different contrasting color. The only reason it is getting 2 stars is that it is fairly compact and will fit in my bike bag, along with the claimed 6,000mAH battery . . . .
    Update 3/24/22:
The seller reached out to me. They investigated the issues I had previously identified, acknowledged them, and will be implementing corrections. Based on that along with the discount they applied, I have to give them credit for their good customer service, and therefore I am adjusting my review from 2 to 4 stars.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was originally impressed with how quickly this filled an 18″ car tire. I used it twice to inflate a tire from 25 to 35 psi. I charged the unit until the battery icon was completely full using enclosed charging cable. It then would not turn on. I attempted several times and it is still not functioning.

Customer service is great. Sent me a replacement and so far it is working well.

I like the ease of use and the size/portability. When doing the air in my tires there was a
difference in the unit and what my car reads? It also seems to take quite a while to re-charge.

I enjoy bike riding, and am planning on getting an ebike. Additionally, I drive a Tesla (big tires, 42 lb pressures needed) so I was in the market for a portable inflator that could handle not only the bikes (which should be easy) but also topping off my car tires. I have one tire that has a slow leak so until I get it fixed I need to add pressure every day. Many of these small units say they won’t work on trucks, and at 4500 pounds, my car weighs as much as some trucks.

Let me say that this pump handles everything like a champ. I can top off my tire every day for a week, along with my bikes, and use about 1/2 of the battery. For bikes, it pumps very quickly (which you’d expect) but for the car, it pumps about 1 PSI per minute. The unit itself doesn’t get hot, but the spot where the hose connects to the pump housing does get quite warm (which is what you’d expect).

What I wish was different? I’d like to be able to set different default pressures (the pressure the unit starts with when you turn it on) and I wish it measured the air pressure in fractions (41.5, instead of 42, for example). But these are small points.

Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFirst lets identify what your looking at. This is a *portable, pocket-able, rechargeable* air compressor that you hold in your hand while using. It does not require to be plugged in at time of use.
If you are expecting it to outperform a larger and cheaper compressors that you must plug in, your kidding yourself. Its better than what you would expect, but its going to loose to most subdecent wired one speed wise that are sold around 30usd. And wont stand a chance against battery clamp ones which seem to start at ~60usd.

What it does offer, is portability and compactness for the duration of its life. It would be great for balls, bike tires, and topping off most cars. But it comes with the same problem every lithium ion battery product has. Longevity due to battery maintenance.

If you either fail to charge it or leave it on the charger 24/7 for several months, it will probably turn into a unchangeable brick. So if you bought this to top off monthly, you’ll likely get a few years out of it. But if you intend to air up only if you notice a flat and leave this in a autokit box for months without occasional charging… it will probably be a brick by the time you next need it.

For those looking to only air up tires every few months, get a cheaper wired compressor or a significantly faster a battery clamp air compressor.
I have yet to find a reliable rec for cheaper socket compressors, pretty much everyone seems to claim they are the same except feature set so find what you like. A random one from walmart will likely last you a decade, although it will be slow.
Ignoring amazon “helpful” reviews, for the faster and slightly more expensive battery clamp air compressors, Camper/rv forums and reddit have been recommending Viair as the tried and true solution for a decade. Viair 88P being the entry level (do NOT get any car socket models, they are targeting trucks and campers. An average 15-20A car circuit will likely blow a fuse trying to power these higher output compressors). 60usd+ is kinda high for me, but if your going to be using the compressor often enough solely on tires that this one’s battery would last, getting one that can air up most car tires from flat in under 2 minutes without needing a recharge first seems far more time efficient.

Personally I chose this just so I don’t need the car to be running to use it (yes, your supposed to turn the car on for all plugged in compressors, they drain the battery fast. They may work when the car is off, but they work faster when its on). This allows me to air up bikes in the garage without having to turn on and back the car out to avoid gas buildup. Also it lets me top off and check pressure often and with ease. No need to unstuff/untangle power cable and wrap/unwrap the hose. No turning on the car to power the sockets or popping the hood. Just plug the hose in and check pressure

This product is so useful for me. I think it is easy to use and efficient. It did tske care of my flat tire in a short period of time so I could drive the car to the shop to repair the flat tire. Ir is good tool for me.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI took a trip to pickup my son (Michigan to Texas, and back). Because of the cold weather, my tire pressures were low. (Yes, I should check ahead of time.) Guess what, no gas stations have free air anymore and most of the new air stations don’t work. There are some LONG stretches in Missouri and Arkansas between stations too. Not good. I bought a portable air pump because of this. It’s never happening to me again.

I bought the RYSEAB because it said it can pump from 25 to 32 in a couple of minutes and had the biggest cylinder. And it does!! This works as advertised and has plenty of battery life to handle multiple fills. The light feature is really great as well.

I reached out to RYSEAB support and both Shawn and James were terrific. Not only did Shawn answer my question but James actually followed up a week later to make sure I was all good.

I highly recommend this pump and RYSEAB!

Charged unit to four (4) full bars and unit automatically stopped charging. Following instructions and set unit for automobile, psi, and 31 psi. Cadillac tires were varying between 24 and 26 psi. Charged all four (4) tires on Cadillac STS to exactly 31 psi and unit automatically stopped adding air as each tire reached 31 psi. Each tire took less than one (1) minute to reach 31 psi. Checked Drivers Information Center on dash of Cadillac and all four (4) tires read exactly 31 psi. Unit still had four (4) full bars of charge. Easiest setup and usage of any tire inflator I have ever owned. Added bonus is that it fits in your hand and can be stored in glove box.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersThis thing is great. We used to have a big pump that took several minutes to air up a low tire. It finally burned up and this looked like something my wife would find easier to use because it’s a lot smaller and lighter.

Using the pump couldn’t be easier. Connect the hose to the pump, push the power button until the screen comes on, connect the hose to the tire (the screen will now show you the current pressure in the tire), press the “circle of arrows” button until you get the thing you want to inflate (for us it’s almost always car tires, which is preset at 36 psi), then push the power button again. That’s it. The pump will go until it reaches the pressure setting (you can adjust this with + and – buttons if you want something other than the built-in preset) and shut down.

One of the tires on my wife’s car keeps going down to 24 psi (we’ve had it to two different mechanics and nobody can find a problem…but something’s going on). This will get the pressure back up to 36 psi in less than two minutes.
We used it at least 10 times before we had to plug it in and recharge the battery, and as cold as it’s been, it will probably last longer in decent weather.

The only slight knock I have is that the hose is on the short end. If your valve is at the top when you stop your car, you may not be able to set this down on the pavement and have it be stable. It does bounce around a bit (it’s a reciprocating pump, of course) and if you stand it on end rather than laying it flat, it tends to tip over. The video shows how much it bounces when you can’t lay it down flat.

This is exactly what I was looking for–a compact and useful air compressor to make sure my car’s tires are fully inflated. I’ve used it once now to bring my tires up to proper pressure; it worked just fine and was fairly quick (about a minute or so per tire to add 4-5 PSI each). Note that it vibrates strongly enough that you can’t really leave it on the ground, but rather have to hold it. Also, the PSI reading is only to integer precision–which, to be fair, is what is shown in the pictures–whereas my old digital tire pressure gauge would show half-integers. And as some have noted, there doesn’t seem to be any way to change the default pressure setting for the different modes. For example, my tires need 37 PSI, but the car mode is always 36 PSI when the device is turned on, so I have to bump the pressure setting up whenever I turn on the device (at which point it stays at 37 PSI until I turn it off). It would be nice if I could reset the default for car mode to something other than 36 PSI. But it’s not hard to do it manually, so not a big deal. Overall, the compressor seems to work exactly as advertised; I’m happy with the purchase.

Update 2.0: the maker reached out and offered to send me another unit, even though I had returned the one to Amazon for a refund. I will give it a try but I give them credit for sending me another one gratis, good customer service on that front.
Update….. After using about a half dozen times the unit just died and will no longer pump. Returning?! Bought this unit to replace a similar but different brand I also got on Amazon (way toooo sloooow) and was returned. This unit works much faster. Still not like a garage compressor but for a small and handy unit it works quite well!

Would give it 5, but for the minimalist instructions; sparse, but enough to get you going. Unit came with an 80% charge, ready to use. Hooked it up to a bicycle tire, set the PSI, etc., and the unit shut off after one second. Thought I had a defective unit, but their customer support chat tech walked me through a series of steps to trouble shoot the issue – turns out I had a defective valve stem in that tire! All subsequent tests and applications worked fine. Verified the PSI shut off with a separate digital tire gauge – spot on. Very portable unit – could stash it in a glove box if you’re not a hoarder!

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersI opened the box and charged the unit. Interface is straight-forward, and it remembers the last mode you used and the pressure set. One set of four tires needed 35 psi and another four needed 32 psi. Default auto setting is 36 psi, so hit the minus button to set it to 35. Topped off the first four tires, then hit the minus button again a few times to set it to 32 psi and topped off the last four tires. Since the unit is going to carried in the the first car, hit the plus button a few times to reset the pressure to 35 psi. It is charging now and will then be placed in the cloth bag that comes with the unit to be stored in the first car.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersGreat little compressor, my wired one was always popping out of the cigarette lighter port and it’s far less of an inconvenience grabbing this little compressor and doing wirelessly. Charge it up, read the instructions, and you’re all set.

Golden Review Award: 48 From Our UsersI had a combination air compressor and jump starter in one. It wasn’t strong enough to start my car, so I just used it to put air in my tires. It was big and heavy. When it died, I replaced it with the Ryseab. I love it. It’s light weight, cordless and so easy to use. What they don’t tell you is that when you connect it to the tire it tells you how much air is in the tire before its inflated. I was pleasantly surprised. I checked the pressure before and after I used the inflator and it stopped where I set it. It’s exactly what I needed. Would highly recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 52 From Our UsersI originally got this portable electric pump for my electric scooter. When I first turned on this electric pump, the power provided by this pump is absolutely amazing. It startled me. It can fill up my 35 psi tires with speed and precision. This was exactly what I was looking for. The addition of 6000mah battery also makes this device even better, It has been 1 month and I used this pump for 3 times and it still is have battery left. There was only one thing I dislike. I wished this item has better design. The plastic makes this item look horribly cheap. but functionality wise this portable pump is absolutely amazing.
