In general is ok for occasional use. But I suggest to go for higher quality product if you use for more than 8 hrs per day. The cushions are veri thin. And crack noise every time you move the back behind.
I had designed a counter top to use as an office ‘table’ with moulding on the front to make the counter top (a 25mm kitchen worktop) look thicker. This stopped a fixed arm chair from passing beneath which was essential to save space when the chair was not in use. I have used this chair for some weeks before reviewing it and find it very good. Despite folding upwards the arms are tightly bossed and very sturdy and do not compromise the function of the chair.
Footnote: I use this chair on a laminate floor so ordered ‘standard’ fit rubber wheeled castors of a type I had retro-fitted to another chair. I have never used the original castors as they might score the laminate floor. They are easy to change and fit because they work in compression when the chair is upright. Not much force required, when the chair is on its back, to pull that castors out and push new ones in. A light split-ring hoop fits in a keyway in the spigot and socket to stop the castor dropping out when the chair is picked up.
Easy to assemble, I did it a bit different to the instructions and assembled the whole seat section on my bed before attaching it to the pneumatic column on the base. I’m glad I did it that way as I don’t think it would have been so easy following the instructions to the letter doing it on my own. I found it very easy to assemble on my own doing it this way. Just made sure I’d got all 8 of the screws in loosely before I tightened them properly and pulled it all together. The wheels went easily in to the base which can sometimes be a massive pain. You can tell it’s been well designed and thought out. That you’re able to turn the allen key horizontally to tighten up all the screws on the base shows it’s been sensibly designed. And you get a spare part of everything. Even a spare wheel!
White wall tires on the casters so you don’t walk in to them in a dim room is a nice touch. I’d prefer if it was a wee bit more padded, it is a little firm for my liking but it’s not bad at all and I’m very happy with it. A lot lighter than my old chair as well meaning it’s easier to move around the room. I can happily recommend it.
I assembled it myself in half an hour, no problem although a second pair of hands would have been useful at times. Very comfortable with a good working position and the swivel arm rests are useful. Quite bulky and needs a bit of space, but it’s worth it.
This chair was easy to assemble since full instructions were included. It is very comfortable to sit on and I’m glad I chose this model. Contrary to some purchasers views, the fixing holes for the arms do line up with the body sections. Only tool required is the Allen Key (supplied)!!
This is the 2nd of these chairs we have had, one was a present to my husband and the relief he felt was brilliant so we bought a second one for my younger son who suffers quite badley with back problems

Everything was in good condition and took me around an hour to assemble. The assembly booklet was graphically easy to understand and follow.
Pay particular attention to not over tighten the screws during the assembly of the arms when fitting the backrest, you will be able to locate the screws much better. When all armrest and backrest screws are fitting nicely, then you can finish the process of tightening up.
With a spare glider wheel and a few spare screws and screw covers (bungs) thoughtfully provided, the assembly was successfully completed.
Bought it for my lucky 14 year old, he loves it. Very comfortable, especially as he needs to do a lot of home schooling at the moment.
Use as a computer chair, but also doubles up as a comfy chair to relax in and play guitar, due to the arms of the chair swivelling back out of the way.

Exceptionally easy to assemble, with all screws etc. bubbled packed, along with spares, and even a spare castor wheel.

It was easy to assemble, took about 10-15 minutes and has proved to be be very comfortable to sit in and work for the long hours we now spend online in a Covid world.

Relatively easy to put together with 2 people. Fits under desk with the arms raised. Not sure how to get the rocking function to work but I would never use it that way so it’s not a loss. It’s a good chair for those of us who are of bigger proportions.

Love these chairs, I’ve used one myself for about 5 years and it’s still as good as new, I have just purchased a 2nd one for my husband too. We use them in our business, so are sitting on them 8 hours a day 5 days a week. My only issue with it this time was the delivery company – but that had nothing to do with the chair or the company selling it.
The chair looks good and it is very comfortable. I managed to put it together with a little help from my kids! Took us about 30 minutes but can be quicker, if you are good at DIY:)

It is comfy.
It is rather easy to assemble, though the armrests are probably best tackled by two people.
Sometimes I have to spend hours at my workstation and I haven’t yet felt uncomfortable doing so.
A bit chunkier than other chairs, but a sturdy base means that it doesn’t compromise on comfort.

I dropped a star for support originally because there isn’t any obvious lumber support. However I’ve been using this chair all day, and despite suffering with long term back problems, this chair hasn’t caused any issues and in fact my back feels fine.
I assembled this easily during a vertigo attack and I’m a girl. The instructions are clear and the parts line up perfectly.
It’s comfortable, looks good and I will be ordering another one for my mother to use with her sewing machine.
I needed a chair with arms that would fit under a desk with a drawer (IKEA malm desk) and it’s not possible to search for seats by the height of the armrests. So flip-up arms seemed to be the solution.
This chair had great reviews and the price was good too. It arrived when they said it would and comes with spare parts (although I think this is a gimmick as it really is a solid chair, I can’t imagine needing them).
The only downside is that I’ve rocked in this far too much today and not got as much done as I should have 😉
The chair is a value for money; I like the comfort and easy to adjustment mechanism, which is ideal for my height.
ook me 30 minutes to assemble – bolts were all in right place and all fixtures were nicely presented and instructions clear. little fiddly to get arms on only because you had to balance bits if there’s only one of you assembling.
I’m 6ft 3, weigh 85kg and the seat is perfect size wise for shoulder, back and head support. folding arms are perfect too. All in all very very impressed as I took a long time to look at multiple chairs and reviews before opting for this model. Buy this if you are looking for a comfy office chair that you could occasionally snooze in too :0)
Bought this as I was working form home a lot more. Really nice chair. Good support and comfort for long stints in front a comptuer.
This chair looks and feels like it cost twice the amount it did. The arms raise and drop which makes it far easier to tuck under a desk and to use in a work capacity. The comfort levels are exceptional. If I had one complaint, it would be that you cant recline and lock the back in that position but would definitely recommend.
Comfortable chair, well padded and large, runs smoothly on my thickly carpeted office floor . Had it for about 6 weeks now and it seems to be fine
I hate buyig these things because I rarely get a good one. But after returning another type I purchased this chair in frustration but didn’t expect much for the price.
After putting it together I was impressed. Easy assembled and lightweight. The flip up arm rests are a great idea. Comfort is ok with suitable padding on the arms back and seat.
So far I am very pleased with this cheap office/computer chair which beats others I have paid over 50% more for.
When putting together this chair there were a few holes which didn’t quite line up when putting the arms on. If you don’t put the arms on you can’t attach the back of the chair so you have to put them on. We very nearly sent this chair back but luckily my husband (after quite a bit of swearing at it and struggling) managed to get the bolts in. The chair is heavy, so it feels like the base has been made out of decent materials. The leather feels a bit more plasticky then my last leather chair and it is not as shiny (which doesn’t bother me but I don’t know how long it will last). The chair comfort is a let down. Looking at the picture it looks nice and padded and in reality it is really firm, I am sitting on it with a pillow as without the pillow I get a numb bum after a while. In retrospect I would not have bought this chair as it is quite expensive for the level of comfort it offers.
My sister who is small in stature bought this chair not realising how large it was…..and loved it. I needed a chair that was going to cope with my much larger stature for very long periods of time, so have bought it……and love it. The only draw back (ahem) is that it is too comfortable. The information mentions power naps….by that, they mean you can fall asleep in it and you can. I have never fallen asleep in an office chair. – ever – but have twice now in this. It really is that good. I don’t know whether this is a gamers chair. I don’t play games, but I can do 18 hour days in front of the computer (yes seriously – I am finishing a Masters dissertation as well as working from home at the moment) and can cope much better now. It is not an expensive chair, so it doesn’t have lots of adjustable bits. If you need to mould a chair to you then this is not for you. But if you want a chair that is good value for money and doesn’t look huge, even though it takes taller, heavier people with ease, then this is worthy of your consideration.

I work from home and spend my days in this chair. I’ve had this for around 12 months. I work from home 3 days a week and I don’t have any complaints. I’m always quite comfy when working. The arms give good support and you can put weight on them to lift yourself to get up without the chair feeling like it’s going to collapse. Assembly was easy took around 15 minutes. In the pack they give you spare wheels and some extra screws. I’ve not needed to swap any pieces out yet. Rolls across my carpet with ease. Looks like a decent product too, even though it was quite cheap compared to others. If your looking for a good sturdy chair, look no further. If I’m being picky, I don’t like the screw covers on the side of the arms. They don’t sit fully flush and sometimes pop off. I probably reattach them at least once a week. Not lost any yet though!

So I’m a big guy (19st) and work at home so any chair I use gets used all day long between working and gaming. My previous Chair lasted three months before becoming unusable creaks and wobbles. I am delighted with this chair. Its really comfortable to sit on possibly the most comfortable PC chair I have ever had and so far no creaking or wobbling. My son is due for a new chair and I will be buying a second one of these I am that happy with it.

The chair was very easy to assemble, my husband and I did it while our meal was cooking. It is also very comfortable to sit in, which I can do for hours at a time. However for me personally I would prefer it if it had a more upright back or could be adjusted to be upright but there is no adjustment there what so ever. So I use a cushion and make do. Great for the price.
My song uses this as a gaming chair and folds down the arms when he is playing his guitar so is perfect for him and really happy ! Says it’s so comfortable and well worth the money

I’m having to add a further review after using both my chairs over a period of two years. More recently, with the lockdown, I’ve been sitting on the chair for long hours for working from home. One issue has now begun to blight my happiness….the seat cushion. It cannot support my weight (93kg), and regularly bottoms out, and use over hours leads to discomfort in the nether regions. I became acutely aware of how thin the seat cushion really was, and once it has bottomed out, you are up against hard material. I have now bought another chair, admittedly a lot more expensive than this one, but unfortunately necessary for heavy duty use. Every other aspect of this Songmics chair has been fabulous…such a shame.

I have had this chair for a while now and I have to say that it is great. No drama, no fuss, just a solid, sturdy office chair.
I can’t stop sitting in it. Got it for my art desk in my bedroom to replace my stool and i find myself sitting in it all the time. so comfy and the added recline and bounce the back has is just heaven.

This chair is perfect, easy to put together, very comfortable, super wide seating area, love the flip up arms. I am glad I chose this one, would highly recommend it. I looked at a lot of chairs and this one was great spec at a really great price.
Like all items you put together an extra pair of hands always comes in handy. Having assembled the chair and reading the instructions it was not that difficult to assemble. I did need my partners help just to hold steady some elements of assembly, but was fully assembled within mins. Only had it relatively recently but is comfortable supportive for the Arts and Crafts I have intended to use the chair with.
