Lautstrke drfte etwas hher regelbar sein. Sonst Gert gut. Schnelle Lieferung. Verpackung OK.
Old one no longer works so have purchased a new one as love the battery life and the amount of songs I can save to the player.
Good to keep things separate from the phone
The sound quality is good, its easy to use for connecting to my pc to load and delete files. Their dashboard is okay but could have been simpler.

Acquistato per sostituire l’altro walkman, pi grande il volume sul lato esterno, buona qualit audio ma deve essere al massimo come il precedente. Bisogna usare accortezza perch al minimo sfioro si accende ma non un grosso problema. Le cuffie uso le mie perch le sue sono pi scadenti. In complesso comunque buon prodotto.
Satisfait de mon achat. Trs bon produit, comme toujours avec Sony.
Bonne qualit de son. La capacit de stockage de 8 Go est suffisante pour moi.

The sound isn’t very loud, and is no comparison to an iPod. Its an ok buy and easy to use.
The product was underwhelming when first opened the box. Very small and light. I didn’t expect quality to be up to much. It was however very easy to get music transferred on and has great storage despite tiny size. I bought it for travelling and really the size and weight are actually a bonus. Downside it is easy to turn on by accident and run battery down and get more comfortable headphones.
All’inizio la durata della batteria era di 6/8 h, un p scarsa. Dopo averlo usato di continuo per un giorno, ora la durata di 24 h. La carica era di 30 minuti e lo ancora (dovrebbe essere di 2h).
Avendolo comperato come “usato garantito, ottime condizioni” ad un prezzo di favore me lo tengo.
In pratica nuovo solo la confezione era un p danneggiata.

I bought this to replace my recently deceased aged iPod Nano. (Apple don’t appear to sell Nanos anymore, so Apple’s loss is Sony’s gain)
I actually think the sound quality from this is better than from the Nano and the FM radio is extremely useful too. The software is a little tricky to get used to but does the job (I’ve obviously used iTunes for years)
The battery life is fantastic. I use it daily for about 45 minutes and it only requires charging every 10 days. It also uses a standard micro usb cable to charge, of which I seem to have plenty. It’s a small unit and so I don’t even notice it when it is pocketed.
I just love this. Had an old 1GB Sony USB that I liked… but it finally died. This one is so much better- easy to transfer files, easy to use, sounds really good-especially through decent headphones or my Sony SRSXB32 speaker. Truly great value for money. I wish I had just got one of these years ago.
This is a brilliant little mp3 player by Sony. The sound quality is excellent and it has very good battery life. Easy to use and nice and lightweight. Highly recommended
I’ve been using this mp3 player (in various previous versions) for over 10 years and I have no complaints – the sound is great, battery-life is sufficient, and there is ample storage. Will buy another one once this one dies on me, which I don’t expect to happen for four to five years, based on how long the previous ones lasted.

The FM radio auto-scan function didn’t work for me. In fact you can press & hold the up/down arrows and it will stop at the next station. I can’t see that in the Manual, even on the web! There is no option to rename FM presets. If you create a new one, all subsequent presets are renumbered.
I haven’t tried the headphones, as I have purchased this as a present, but I wouldn’t expect much. It sounds acceptable on decent headphones though.
Very disappointing that you cannot add any extra memory, when this is possible on players a third of the price.

great mp3. Bought this to replace an ipod I use for running and find it just as good as the ipod and the music centre format is easy to use. I bought another mp3 but couldnt make up playlists so thats why i ordered this sony mp3

This was a replacement for my husband who left the original in a pocket which then went through the washing machine!! We already knew that the sound was worthy of a much more expensive product. I’ve put quite a lot of albums on it now but there is a huge amount of storage capacity still to use!

Perfekt, bis auf einige wenige nervttende Kleinigkeiten.
1. Startet trotz Tastensperre bei leichtestem Knopfdruck, was den Akku unntig belastet.
2. Bei eingeschalteter Tastensperre lsst sich die Lautstrke nicht steigern oder wenigstens senken. Man muss den Player dann immer umstndlich aus der Tasche fummeln.
Ansonsten perfekt. Einfache Menfhrung, topp Sound, schn klein, wertig verarbeitet, ausreichend Speicher und relativ preiswert. Trotz mancher kleiner Macken: Jederzeit wieder!

My personal gripe is 8GB is only enough for 700 songs out of my library of 6,000+. Will happily buy this exact same mp3 player if it comes with a much larger GB size. Will look into this in the new year.

Ne ho presi 2 a distanza di tempo dopo averne comprato uno di altra marca a prezzo minore ma di qualit decisamente inferiore (la batteria ad esempio dopo pochi mesi gi non caricava pi).
Per me questo SONY il meglio, possibile muoversi facilmente fra le cartelle e, cosa per me importante, possibile scrivere i nomi delle canzoni anche in alfabeto cirillico (russo).
La spedizione stata perfetta e il prodotto arrivato prima del previsto. Il prodotto ottimo. Ne avevo gi uno da diversi anni e ne ho preso altri in quanto temo che usciranno prima o poi dal mercato.
Die WALKMAN-Serie ist meines erachtens einer der besten MP3-Player, die man bekommen kann. Der WALKMAN ist klein und sehr leicht und kann auch hervorragend im Dunkeln bedient werden, nachdem er zum Glck keinen Touch-Screen besitzt, sondern noch echte Tasten.
Rechts oben findet man seitlich zwei Tasten fr die Lautstrke und darunter die Lock-Taste mit der man das unbeabsichtigte Drcken einer Taste verhindern kann.
Unter dem Display befindet sich eine groe Taste zum Starten und Stoppen der Wiedergabe, sowie zum Vor- und Zurckspringen der Titel und zur Navigation durch das Men.
Des Weiteren befindet sich darber eine kleine Taste um aus dem Titel, bzw. dem Men wieder raus zu gehen und eine weitere Taste mit der man das Gert ausschalten kann. Das war’s auch schon.
Die mitgelieferten Ohrhrer liefern einen sehr guten Klang und die Bedienungsanleitung befindet sich als ZIP-Archiv direkt auf dem Speicher des WALKMANs.
Ich nutze den WALKMAN in erster Linie fr Hrspiele und Hrbcher und dafr ist er hervorragend geeignet. Das Hrspiel kann jederzeit gestoppt werden und der WALKMAN ausgeschaltet werden. Nach dem erneuten Einschalten geht es genau da weiter, wo man gestoppt hat.
Der Akku hlt gut eine Woche durch, wenn man tglich etwa zwei Stunden hrt (Arbeitsweg).
Shuffle-Funktion ist vllig uninteressant fr mich, der Player kann es aber. Gleiches gilt fr den UKW-Radio: Nett aber berflssig, da man in der U-Bahn kaum Empfang hat.
Der Speicher von 8GB ist meines Erachtens mehr als ausreichend. Mein Hrspiel-Archiv liegt auf einem Cloud-Server zu Hause und ich packe mir lediglich die aktuellen Titel auf den Player. Das gesamte Archiv wrde da auch nicht drauf passen.
Ich habe neben dem Sony noch einen anderen Player, der Touch-Screen hat und allerlei unntige Funktionen bietet. Allerdings nutze ich den meist nur zu Hause, da der zum Mitnehmen einfach zu schwer ist, verglichen mit dem WALKMAN von Sony.
Der Sony ist und bleibt meine erste Wahl, da man den auch blind bedienen kann und er einfach in der Handhabeung ist.
Sony liefert auch eine sehr gute Verwaltungssoftware mit, die man aber nicht zwingend braucht. Betanken lsst sich der WALKMAN einfach ber das mitgelieferte USB-Kabel. Einfach mit dem Computer verbinden und ber den Explorer daraufzugreifen, wie auf jedes andere USB-Laufwerk.
Ja, es hat alles sehr gut geklappt und mit dem Walkman bin ich aus sehr zufrieden. Jederzeit wieder. Dake!

No es tan bonito como el anterior, creio que no funciona com vdeos y tiene menos opcioness, pero el sonido s mui bueno.
I had a Sony MP3-player before. My earlier version was metal, very sturdy and lasted probably up to ten years with no issues. Sound was amazing. I lost it on the plane, so i had to get something new.
I am using music for sport and sometimes at work when I need sound isolation…
When unwrapping the new player, i was disappointed twice. First, it’s only plastic and feels cheap. Second, using the headphones delivered with the MP3-player, the sound was terrible!
I have used the player now for 4 weeks with a different set of headphones and realized that the plastic makes the player much lighter. So exercising is much more pleasant, you don’t even feel the weight of the player! After all a big plus. So far, no issues due to damage/instability…
With the new headphones, i am also back to the outstanding sound quality i was used to from my earlier player.
Obviously, Sony did not invest in improving the OS. It is still the same. Therefore, no big changes here and expensive competitors may have improved more significantly.
For me, a still very good player that does the job of playing music without out big extravagancies. Exactly what I was looking for.
Facile da usare compatto. Ma la cosa pi importante che ha i tasti normali e non un inutile touch screen che non funziona mai come dovrebbe mentre lo usi per attivit sportive, mentre questo con comandi analogici funziona perfettamente. Per quanto riguarda il resto Sony IL MIGLIOR prodotto in commercio, secondo me migliore di quello della mela con un morso americano.

I did buy a cheapie MP3 player, then instantly regretted it. So I read the reviews for this one, which were somewhat mixed, but decided to go for it anyway. It does sound infinitely better than the cheap one it replaced and is perfectly adequate and acceptable. The earphones provided are acceptable, but some better ones would probably produce an even better experience. The odd thing is setting up playlists using “Music centre for PC”, it seems less than intuitive to set up a playlist directly on the device, so I used the recommended software. To be fair, I now have umpteen working playlists, but it took me a while to get my head round doing it… good luck 🙂
Anyway, when walking our deranged Springer Spaniel I can now listen to whatever as the doggy gets covered in mud. The FM radio also works very well and does not break up and sound like the audio of a chip shop.
With the addition of some Betron earphones, it is fantastic !!!!
Bought to replace previous model which was no longer being supported by Sony so couldn’t add new or delete any music-still works perfectly though after about 10 years or so of regular use. The included earbuds on this new model are a diappointment and terrible fit for my ears so had to buy new ones. Unit no longer has noise cancelling feature which I miss for air travel but now has bigger more legible screen. Also wish it had bluetooth, more convenient for workouts but still all in all this is a good quality unit that will last for years sold at reasonable price.
Der Akku hlt extrem lang und das Gert ist allgemein sehr angenehm und gut zu nutzen. Sony bleibt meine Lieblingsmarke fr MP3 Player.

I am very happy with this MP3 player. The sound is great and battery life is quite good.
So far pleased. Bought it as a replacement for my NWZ-E443 which eventually died (battery gave up) after many years’ use (six???). I use it both as an MP3 player and FM radio. To my ear, the sound is good – much better than my cheap Sandisk player. Interface was easy to adjust to. If switched off part way through a track, it resumes at the same point when switched by on (some devices do not, which to me is a big no-no). I don’t use the supplied earpieces (they are one of the types which annoy me by not staying ‘in’). Battery life seems fine although I’ve not so far been recording ‘how long’. Will do so sometime and post here my findings.

Aprs deux essais avec du matriel chinois, non satisfaisant et retourn , je suis revenu chez “Sony” plus cher mais : simplification d’utilisation, trs lumineux, criture extrmement lisible, (pour ceux qui n’ont plus des yeux d’ado !) et un son parfait (avec casque Sony) en musique comme en FM. (correct avec couteurs Sony) .
Je recommande vivement la gamme Sony.

Only use it for jogging and cycling. It has not let me down yet, is easy to use but am sure there are better products on the market, saying from a sound buff. Is ideal for my use. But could be better.
i bought a walkman as the battery on my phone was wearing down, playing music on the phone just eats the battery life. the walkman arrived on time, transferred music but wouldn’t work unless plugged in, i notified amazon and the sent a replacement the next day. the replacement work perfectly
Ottimo apparecchio, dalla grafica chiara e intuitiva nella lettura delle icone. Un solo appunto: non permette di avanzare o di indietreggiare all’interno di un capitolo di lettura. Se si vuole riascoltare un passaggio, si deve andare all’inizio del capitolo. Se si vuole avanzare velocemente nella lettura di un passaggio che interessa meno, non si pu fare perch l’apparecchio “salta” direttamente al capitolo successivo.
I’ve been using this mps3 for years now and I can say that is not a bad product at all. Some people might say that the sound is not so great but to be honest is not the product but the earphones are the problem. I know a pair of earphone comes with the package but if you want to ear in a better way, I suggested you buy some other ones.
This does that and then some. It’s really easy to transfer music files to it via the computer, is slim and lightweight and battery life is excellent.
Music quality is great….I’m no great expert but I like what I hear! It has an automatic volume control, which means you can’t have it too loud accidentally.
I did purchase the silicone sleeve that was recommended by Amazon, and this is fine but it did need a little trim so I can access the “hold” button. (Works like a keylock on a mobile phone).
In short, I’m very pleased with my MP3…The controls are easy to get the hang of, it holds absolutely LOADS of data and I do love that “hold” button.
Yes, it is a little pricey and there are much cheaper MP3’s out there. Previously, I purchased a cheap model (by another manufacturer) for my daughter and it broke after two weeks and the controls on that were extremely odd (very hard to explain but everything seemed counter-intuitive). Not so with the Sony! (Perhaps it’s because I’m from the Nokia generation, but the controls on this seem very sensible to me!) The extra money seems well worth it for this little gem and I actually replaced the faulty MP3 with another, identical one of these for my daughter. We have had no problems with them in about a year of use and they’re still going strong with almost daily use.

Very good MP3 player, the sound is very good and the battery lasts quite a while. In all I’m very pleased with it.
Compact, good memory, good battery life. Would benefit from a belt clip.
Battery isn’t great but lasts a couple of days of constant use. Otherwise great device.
I have other Sony Smart and Multimedia devices which are excellent. I fear that Sony may be taking guidance from their Ericsson friends (great engineering, poor user attention) and Apple competitors (control the user’s habits) and forgotten to design a user device.
The sound quality is top class, but the amplification is not as powerful as competitors – This is most likely to protect eardrums, however users do connect this to external speakers which require more amplification.
The Playlists can only be managed from a computer using the Sony Music Centre application; Sony would do well to allow playlists to be managed directly from the device. File deletion can only be done by connecting to a computer.
Music Centre software to synchronise the music and playlists is smart for synchronising with the device; however finding music on your computer takes forever; even even worse it does not recognise changes such as filenames and directory movements. It is also not possible to make directory and filename changes from the computer application.
The device offers options for screen display time from as little as 10 seconds, in increments, up to always on.
There is no Bluetooth option, which is inexcusable considering the abundance of Bluetooth portable speakers of the market.
Considering how many times I have dropped it, the durability is excellent. I use it in Spinning classes, so resistance to moisture is excellent.
If Sony does read these reviews, I hope that future devices remembers the user-control as well as the engineering.
It could have been a little bit bigger as I have to use my glasses before I use it to read the screen. But it’s just great.

Using the conversion software supplied, I’ve managed to download all my ITunes onto this – with the exception of audiobooks, which was really disappointing as that is what I originally bought it for to while away plane and train journeys. However, it’s opened up my music collection to me again when I’m on the move; it’s good sound; great battery life.
Looks and sounds good as I would expect from a Sony product. The battery in an earlier version failed after barely 4 years which might be due irregular use.
This is my first MP3 player and as such, I didn’t know what to expect. It is a nice, compact unit, very light and seems well made.
In common with most electrical goods these days, the instructions were pitiful. Just a few ambiguous pictograms and that’s your lot!
Come on Sony, would it really hurt to write some clear concise instructions?
After some experimentation, I have just about worked out the unit although the charging arrangements are challenging me still.
If you are under 16 i’m sure it’s a breeze but for the over sixties….. give us a break Sony!
The sound is good although the earpieces are uncomfortable.
Loading up my music from my laptop is fine if you know how to ‘rip’ and ‘drag and drop’

Unsere Erwartungen wurden voll erfllt.
Die bertragung der Dateien mittels Drag & Drop ist kinderleicht, keine Extraprogramme notwendig.
Er ist leicht, liegt gut in der Hand, die Menfhrung ist wie immer sehr einfach, die Ausschaltautomatik funktioniert bestens.
Am Klang gibt es fr mich nichts auszusetzen, allerdings nutze ich den Mp3-Player hauptschlich fr Hrbcher und
ich habe mir andere Kopfhrer dazu gekauft.
Zu der Auflsung fr Fotos und Videos kann ich nichts sagen, da ich diese Funktionen nicht nutze.
Volle 5 Punkte, was will man mehr, der Speicherplatz ist fr den normalen Gebrauch ausreichend.
Fazit: Wer keinen Wert auf das Gehuse legt der kann den Walkman getrost kaufen, denn das Innenleben ist super.
Klein, extrem leicht und er tut das, was er soll, gut. Leicht zu bedienen, kein Schnickschnack. Sicher: Bildschirmauflsung, technische Funktionen – da haben Smartphones mehr zu bieten und vielleicht ist es auch nicht mehr Stand der Technik. Aber wer einen kleinen, handlichen MP3-Player sucht, der bekommt ihn mit diesem Sony-Gert. Nur die Kopfhrer sind totaler Murks, weil sie keinen “flexiblen” Kopf haben.
Zum Laufen, zum Spaziergang, abends im Bett, fr alles geeignet.

Prodotto conforme e di buona qualit. Ho acquistato questo modello perch ne ho posseduto uno della stessa famiglia Sony che mi si rotto dopo tanti anni di uso intenso. Il modello da 8GB (lordi e non espandibili) e viene fornito con:
-cuffie di discreta qualit, non in-ear
-cavo di alimentazione da 50cm (ma non alimentatore da viaggio, attenzione!).
Rispetto ad altri player Sony, questi presenta ingresso std e non proprietario.
Molto rapido nel trasferimento dei file, permette anche di visualizzare foto.
Molto buona la qualit audio in uscita sul jack e sulla uscita digitale (se collegato ad esempio alla radio della macchina, lo rileva come un pendrive).

Im Gegensatz zu teureren Modellen von Sony wirkt das Display ein bisschen pixelig. Ist mir aber egal, da ich ein Albumcover oder das Navigationsmen nicht unbedingt in HD Auflsung sehen muss.
Alles in allem ein guter Player. Uneingeschrnkt weiter zu empfehlen.
Quindi ho reso il primo articolo e ho acquistato questo Sony NW-E394, memore dalla buonissima esperienza che avevo avuto con un mp3 sempre Sony acquistato a febbraio 2008 e che purtroppo mi ha abbandonato dopo 8 anni di onorato servizio.
Io sono pienamente soddisfatta dell’acquisto.
La musica si pu dividere in cartelle, cosa che x me era basilare!!
La qualit audio molto buona, sinceramente per le mie esigenze (ascoltare musica in auto e tramite cuffie come svago nel tempo libero), non ho notato questo problema che hanno riscontrato altri x “Volume Basso”, per me ottimale!!!
lo schermo a colori, pu supportare anche foto (anche le immagini degli album relativi alla canzone che viene riprodotta).

Discorso batteria: allora ammetto che l’ho acquistato, l’ho ricaricato fino a che non era FULL (2ore circa), poi l’ho staccato utilizzato subito..i primi due giorni dopo appena 30 minuti dava la batteria gi scarica…e mi sono allarmata..mi faceva molto strano, solo che non potevo renderlo perch ero fuori all’estero in ferie..
Poi prima di allarmarmi troppo ho deciso di lasciarlo in carica x 12h e di fatti il problema sparito, nel senso che ora si scarica dopo diversi giorni (4/5 giorni) di riproduzione continua x ogni giorno di almeno 1h..per me buono, dovrebbe voler dire 4/5h di riproduzione continua..
Io poi lo utilizzo principalmente attaccato all’auto tramite USB, quindi intanto che ascolto si ricarica anche e quindi il problema x me non sussiste pi del normale.
Per me la marca SONY sempre una garanzia!!!
Buon prodotto ad un prezzo accettabile per avere un mp3 di qualit e non una “cinesata”.
Ho pagato 80, qualit buona, materiali di qualit, ha tutto quello che mi serviva!!

Da unserer kaputt gegangen ist, froh gewesen endlich wieder einen gefunden zu haben der auch vom Preis her erschwinglich war. Wir haben auch fr dieses Gert den entsprechenden Speaker. Leider mussten wir feststellen das das neue Gert einen kleinen Anschluss hat und der Speaker einen groen was nicht in der Beschreibung erwhnt wurde.Mal schauen ob es dafr einen Adapter gibt. Aber ansonsten total zufrieden.
Light-weight and neat mp3 player. It is small enough to easily fit in my pocket.
Much cheaper than an i-pod, but you pay for what you get at the end of the day.
The run-time is OK, however I expect this will diminish as we use the Sony MP3 player.
Straight forward to control. I got this MP3 player it for my daughter as she is really into music now and for the money it is perfect for her.
Sony products are generally good quality and I expect that this music player will last. I am interested to see it’s storage capacity – will report back when we have filled it!
The design is similar to the ipod nano – without the beauty. It’s supplied with a basic looking set of headphones, and a USB charger.

Sound quality despite the naff looking headphones is quite good. I saw a few reviews saying this had poor battery life, so I’ve had this on ‘play’ now for 4 days ..and its STILL going (although the battery indicator has been saying low battery all the time – which could be annoying.
File transfer is superfast, and the songs are easily selected.
The photo option is a waste of time. Why is it there? The photos are too low res to be viewed with any enjoyment, therefore I cant see the point?
The radio works well. Its easy to autoscan – but I recommend you do this outside in a good signal area – otherwise you’ll get some strange stations! I switched to autofind, and clarity is very good indeed.
I think its a good MP3 player but with some superfluous features such as the photos. I’m not over keen on the plain design. I would have thought this would look better shiny and with better looking headphones.
This is superlight. I used it when walking the dog and you hardly know its there, so that a big plus in my book. It would be great for joggers.
In all its light, robust, sound quality in good, headphones look naff, but sound is good.
I’ve given 4 stars – removing one for the unneccessary photo feature, the non working battery indicator, and the boring design.
Love the light weight, and the super long battery life! If you want an MP3 player that is super light and was incredible battery longevity then this is a good one for you. This was priced at 75 when I reviewed it. Bearing in mind some of the negative points about this, at this price I would probably go for an apple product. I think this is good, but overpriced..
