Tore my thumb muscle and using it was making it worse. Bought several supports, but this was the only one that you can wear all the time, get on with life and support the muscle’s repair.

I thought I would hate wearing it, but I love wearing it! Instantly my thumb and wrist is comfortable. It stops me moving suddenly and getting severe pain. Nicely adjustable and easy to put on. Very happy.

This was purchased on the advice of a physiotherapist to help with my swollen thumb. Was weird to start with but got used to it after a while. It made movement a little awkward but then so did my swollen thumb. At least it has stopped people squeezing my hand !!!!

I really like the brace it has really good support for your thumb and joint. Only small issue i had was it is a tiny bit difficult to get on the first few times i wore it. I was alone and strapping the thumb tight enough was awkward. But once I was used to the strap It was easy.

This has made so much difference to my pain level in my thumb and wrist. I have been delighted with this support. Much better than the elastic/ stretch ones that i have had previously

I have had a few braces on my wrist due to wrist and thumb pain. I found this one the best as it wasn’t too clumsy and I managed to do jobs with the brace on would definitely recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy partner had a motor bike accident, he’d hurt alot of things especially his thumb.
I bought this as support, he won’t go drs! He is a large man 6ft2″ with large hands.
I was dubious this would fit.
It is adjustable and he used on his left hand. He’s really impressed with it.
A good price imo and does the job.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersLike that the straps wrap round fully and you don’t have the ends flapping around. A bit uncomfortable on the thumb but I think that will ease with use, probably just not used to something being round it. Would definitely recommend, I have issues at my wrist and where it joins my thumb but the brace gives good support.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersTried couple other braces, but they were for wrist support, and even though it was partly my wrist being the issue (pulled ligaments (there is 2) from wrist to thumb, so only my thumb hurt when stretched, I could still grip without pain) they did not offer support and restriction to my thumb, and thus I kept putting it into situations which cause pain.
This brace prevented my thumb from going into those painful situations and I started to heal much faster due to this brace. It pays to get a brace suitable to your injury, not on looks or cost, if in doubt, get confirmed by GP first then order suitable brace instead of buying 3 like me, but I do love this, if your issue is the same, it will work for you!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis spica has a great length thumb support. Some have been too long and therefore get in the way – but not this one. Comfortable to wear and has an inner lining part to protest the skin from the Velcro. Good value.

Great for mild fracture on your wrist and supports. Reduce discomfort as well as stabilises your thumb /; wris

I’ve had a few thumb braces and found this one to be amongst the best. My only criticism is as with nearly all of these products the piece that goes around the thumb is too thin. As all manufacturers do the same I must assume there is a good reason for it.

I need to surgery on my thumb because of the years of wear and tear..when i have over worked it …it is so painful I can’t move it
This brace keeps my thumb from moving and so it’s perfect for my thumb to rest
It really is great and a perfect fit…my hands are quite big this brace is very adjustable

Excellent support for tendinitis in my thumb. Unfortunately the Velcro stops working after a while which obviously makes it difficult to wear as you have to keep trying to make it stick but has definitely helped despite that problem.

But one size doesn’t really fit all my glove
Size is 7 and this was a tad large but very effective

I bought 2 of these (one for each hand) to ease the stress in my wrists, hands and thumbs whilst practicing Yoga and Pilates as a suffer from arthritis. I haven’t had the chance to try them out yet but they look well constructed and adjustable in every way

The, only things this doesn’t do for me is protect my hand between the thumb and first finger. Probably my fault because I thought it held that area higher. V pleased with it otherwise

I was suffering from some very painful arthritis or strain in my thumb and had tried various topical and oral pain killers and nothing was helping. I spoke to my doctor and he advised that a brace is much more effective – to control movement and keep the thumb static so it can ‘heal’. I immediately found this brace on Amazon and have been wearing it (off and on) for nearly a week – and the difference is amazing. The pain is gone and I have flexibillity and strenght back in my thumb. It’s easy to use and very comfortable (although making it too tight, while it might feel good at first, seems to work adversely).

Did what I needed it to do when I injured my thumb, was easy to use and comfortable to wear.

Only negative is the velcro strap that goes around the thumb started to come away after awhile. For its price though, it done the job for me.

On the whole these wrist straps are quite good and good value. Unfortunately, though, the straps which fasten around the thumb quickly go ‘bald’ meaning that the velcro style tab no longer stays in place. Have had to work around this and replace part of the strap myself

It’s a very comfortable material, my hands are weird so it taking time to use it properly and I work a lot with my hands so it feels weird at the moment but it’s definitely one of the nicest one material wise and comfort wise

As a stay at home mum I’m constantly picking up my daughters. Sadly my hand has started to hurt a lot recently, turns out from picking them up so much I’ve sprained my thumb. This injury unfortunately takes a while to heal as you’re constantly using your thumb. I have good days and bad days.

Eventually I decided to buy this, after a few months of using it I can honestly say its a gods send. It fits perfectly and it’s breathable it’s helped my pain so much. I’m now having less bad days and when I do have a flare up I put it on for the day and I feel so much better. Its absolutely fantastic couldn’t recommend it enough

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersExcellent support, I got immediate relief as soon as I put it on. The strap for the thumb is a little narrow, I feel it should be a bit wider, but it does give good support. I would suggest tethering it on the body of the thumb rather than trying to tether to itself as it tends to become looser over time. Putting the velcro down a little so it’s actually on the thumb works better.

I will say though that the thumb does still have a good range of movement. If you are looking for a good thumb and wrist support with mobility this is perfect. If you are looking to immobilise the thumb and have strong restriction of movement this isn’t the right one for you. I gave it 5 stars because my arthritis just needs that help and support, which it’s great for. If you have something more serious requiring the thumb to have a stronger support and restriction then pick a different splint.

It looks good and I’m pretty sure it works for most people, but for me it was a little big ( small hands ik ) soo it doesn’t give me all the support I need but other than that it’s a great product.

Great thumb isolation allowing it to rest, but maintaining wrist movements to a degree. Comfortable, breathable with strong velcro.

  31. RozellaElston says:

It odd easy to wear but the length of Velcro on the end of the thumb is a bit too short for a male thumb so it dissent stay connected – about 15mm longer would solve this

This gives good support. The only problem I have had with it is it is very scratchy,in other words it has little sharp bits which I file down with an emery board, though they sometimes catch on clothing especially wool

It is good if u don’t have to work but as I drive forklifts and other machines, hence the reason for getting it, it was not comfortable. At times when I was not driving then it was excellent to use and did help to relieve the pain, most grateful for having it as it did relieve the pai

    It's works
