The wife broke her thumb badly and this support protects the thumb perfectly
Ok but not getting the full support I expected round my thumb as is only held with a Velcro strap and would have been good if the thumb support was slightly longer.
I wear this for Arthritis in my right thumb. Comfy most of the time, doesn’t relief pain, is worn for support.
Does support my thumb, I have found it helps with my work.
Only negative point, the Velcro around the thumb needs to be more robus
This helped immobilise my thumb and provide compression so the sprain didn’t get any worse. It was initially a bit difficult to get on but that was due to the swelling. Once on, its relatively comfortable to wear and I’ve slept with it on with no issues. Used it for support and pain relief for my thumb.it also helps me to become aware of how much I use and rely on my thumb and reminds me to change how I hold things. Wish I’d bought it before. I recommend this if you suffer from arthritis in your thumb. I would rate this more,much more more than five stars.
My son damaged his thumb playing rugby. This has been great for protecting it on a general day to day basis while it healed. Then also to protect his thumb while playing sport.
I used this product for a problem thumb. Despite it not being the most expensive thumb support on my search list, I am extremely pleased with it’s effectiveness. I would definitely recommend it.
Needed this for a trigger thumb . It’s a good generally well made product . The only problem I found was the the strip that goes around the thumb was very extremely long and I found that it became very thin quickly. I ended up cutting it and re sewing it on which helped.

I woke up one morning and couldn’t move my thumb or first finger due to excruciating pain ( non injury). I have M.E. and struggled to grip anything, even a mug. This brace has help support my wrist whilst splinting my thumb to let it rest. Probably got arthritis in joint.

I’ve mum thumb it’s bloody agony and this has been a huge help. Can’t really be used when you’re minding a baby as it immobiliss your hand but while sleeping it’s amazing if you’ve tendinitis or de quervain it’s worth getting i
Arrived very promptly. Easy to use and, for me, very effective.
Neat and durable thumb brace. Very comfortable when wearing unfortunately in my case once I took it off the pain was worse. I’m sure it will suit other injuries better. My physio advised me not to wear it as the tendon in my thumb will improve quicker.
A further comment is that the thing Velcro that goes around the thumb stretched a little bit too much and I have very small hands.

This brace is very comfortable and provides good support for the lower part of the thumb. My only concern is that the thumb strap seems narrow and has started stretching after only a week (I have been using a piece of wider double sided velcro strap to help take the strain).
I bought this to support my thumb as I had sprained/damaged the joint. The strap around the thumb is narrow and for my injury, it would have been more suitable for me if this was wider to immobilise the thumb movement.
Otherwise a comfortable brace and easily adjustable with the elasticated, velcro straps.
Got this as support while playing guitar. It’s OK but the one problem is the thumb strap to secure your thumb (main bit) has stretched and now has to be secured with an elastic band
Needed this for my thumb that keeps dislocating it is great for this as it has two splints that hold the thumb reasonably in one place. Thumb still moves but cannot slip in and out of joint. Fits well around wrist and hand. Have only had a few days but up to now I have no complaints it is ideal for what I needed.
Tried 2 very expensive shop-bought thumb braced that I exchanged as they didn’t fit and the replacements still didn’t fit. This fits comfortably so I can wear it for hours as Dr recommended. Delivery was very prompt and COVID safe.

Absolutely brilliant for 5 days till it broke 5 days later amazon have refunded to my amazon account and tempted to order another as it worked so well before this but don’t want to have to go through all this again so might have to try a different one
I bought this as I’m hyper mobile and have had multiple dislocations in 2 of the 3 thumb joints, this has caused significant weakness and increases the risk of further dislocations. The slightest bump/jarring of my thumb causes swelling/pain and it is difficult to rest and not use it especially during the night. This strap has provided support and encourages resting my thumb as needed and more comfortable and practical than using a bandage.
Needed this product after dislocating thumb. This provided great security for my thumb from knocks and provided good support.
Only con is after constant use for 10 days the Velcro did become worn quickly

Its a great support and you still have a bit of movement but without the pain I can tell my thumb is healing while it on because when I take it off it takes longer for the pain to kick in also the brace is very comfortable and I forget I have it on most of the time id definitely recommend

Having tried a few thumb supports, this offered me the best support to date. Excellent support and very comfortable from 1st worn. Easy to wear all day – breathable & comfortable.
So far so good, comfortable, easy to adjust. Allows movement so doesn’t restrict what you are doing but prevents causing more damage and makes you more conscious of how you use your hands.

Tripped and fell onto concrete, went to Hospital for X-ray, no bones broken but suspected ligament damage in my thumb. Felt the Velcro brace that the NHS supplied didn’t give me the support I needed. Purchased this one and it’s significantly better having two splints to the finge

I am absolutely thrilled with this product. I have a thumb injury that is currently under investigation and I have to keep my thumb as still as possible which is not always easy as my occupation is that of typist. This splint keeps my thumb stable and I can still type whilst wearing it (it’s my left thumb so that helps). It is so comfortable compared to a previous splint I had been using. I am so impressed with it I’ve just ordered a second one. I have yet to see how they will hold up after a few months of constant wear but so far, excellent product and can thoroughly recommend.
Support is a bit big for little email hands, so is adjusted to its smallest but still a bit big, still supportive when using weights.
Very comfortable splint, supports thumb really well yet leaves fingers free to function.
I used the splint for a painful lower thumb joint and it offered enough support with being totally restrictive. It alleviate the pain of movement and over a short period fixed the problem. The one issue I found was that the area between the base of the thumb and forefinger became sore where the material of the splint rubbed against the skin. I think the design might be improved with some extra padding in this area.
Great product easy to wear and fit with one hand , fantastic pain relief with my arthritis in my thumbs use every day including driving a must have !!.

Brilliant brace for bad thumb tendon. I’ve used it non stop now for about two months but only now the Velcro around the thumb is started to not stuck as much. Might need replacing.
I suddenly had immense pain, swelling, stiffness and discomfort in my thumb. Got an x ray and the doctor said it’s not fractured or broken and to just ice the thumb and rest it. It is a possible sprain or underlying condition. Of course I cannot do this, I’m a full time uni student with a part time job and a puppy to look after and play with and take on walks. I decided it would be best to stabilise the thumb to ensure it doesn’t adapt to being stuck in a downward position and used bandages in attempt to stabilise. The pain was still intense and the swelling was raising each day regardless of the use of ice and stabilising. I then decided to order this for next day delivery, 2 days on and my thumb feels comfortable in the brace and allows for stability in the pain. I still cannot take the brace off without having to endure the pain and stiffness but this brace is definitely a life saver! I highly recommend it as a temporary fix but of course, get any sudden issue/injury checked out by a professional.

I ordered this for my partner who has been suffering with thumb pain after injuring it a few months ago. He was sceptical at first but when it arrived he found it comfortable and easy to adjust to support his thumb in the best way. He said it gave him a great deal of relief. He wore it continuously for two weeks and his thumb now feels so much better.
I was told by physio to buy Thumb support gloves at about 9 from Amazon. I searched, there were so many but I picked these because the mentioned all the things I wanted to cover and the price was good. I don’t wear them all the time but they do give relief when worn. Enough support without being uncomfortable.
I ordered this after sublaxing my thumb (I have hypermobility so it happens quite often) and found it great. Comfortable day and night and kept thumb supported perfectly.
Some supports are sweaty and uncomfortable to sleep in but this was lovely.

Good support all round does relief some pain. I use it almost 24/7 as I have dislocated my thump and seems the Velcro on the thump side seem to be fraying and I believe the support should cover the whole thump not half at the moment to give extra support.
I think overall its a good quality product.
Slips and digs on a little on the thumb, but otherwise comfortable.
Nice support. Lacks a little on the thumb but certainly helped stop movement that was causing me a lot of pain.
It helps with tendonitis as the brace keeps the thumb alignment perfect, with forearm/wrist restrained too. It’s not obtrusive and the Velcro straps give ample adjustment even for the largest of hands. It’s well stitched too. Very nice.
The brace held my thumb really well as I seemed to have an injury on my thumb for a while, therefore I chose to try this. It relieved the pain, a lot actually. However, the main issue i have is the velcro around the thumb. A small movement of the thumb or sometimes even none, after some weeks of wearing, cause the velcro to constantly slide off the finger and would remove the stiffness on the thumb itself. I give 4 stars for that as overall it did help out.
Item arrived on time and was easy to fit. I find that if I use this it helps to eliviate pain but do not wear for long periods of time. Still awaiting medical diagnosis of pain (probably carpol tunnel syndrome). Overall – satisfied and useful product.
I have recently developed a very painful wrist and thumb which I am guessing is arthritis and had to stop some of my weights exercising which was getting me down. I really didn’t think this support would be much help but it has been fantastic and I am using the weights again and I am over the moon. I Would happily recommend this support to anyone with a similar problem, it is fantastic!!!!!
I use this mainly to go hiking and wild camping(how my accident had originally happened….) as getting my backpack(60 litre!!) on & off has been a big problem since my accident plus setting up the tent etc, so to me….under extreme conditions & elements this Braceup works great!!! Its worn very well over the past 10months, the velcro fastening is as good now as it was 10 months ago, washes great and I’ve had no problem with my thumb or wrist as it does protect both of them very well. I’m not one to do reviews but I definitely think Braceup earned this one.
I needed to support my right thumb after an injury and after looking at several products on line I decided on this one. It works really well and offers great support to the thumb with two metal inserts either side of the thumb. It is easy to put on because it has a soft sleeve that you slide your hand into to hold the support in place before you secure it with velcro straps. It is also comfortable to wear.
I like this very much supported my thumb.Does not make me itch like as I’m allergic to neoprene.Good value.I was told by doctor not to wear when my arthritus flares up .Pleased with product.
Really comfortable brace and gave good support initially , however two weeks into wearing it the Velcro around the thumb is completely useless . It actually slips over the top of my thumb therefore have no support .
Bought and applied new Velcro but it’s not worked , have now bought lighter support to wear over the top of this one to keep thumb in place . Overall spent a lot more than expected .
Ordered xl. Good fit. I have pulled ligaments, this brace keeps everything in place yet still allows me to do my work & other activities while not letting me overstretch the muscles.

Best one ive bought yet (have bought quite a few). Metal rods going up in 2 areas along wrist and thumb making it by far the most comfortable and relieving pain as movement is so minimal.
I have tendonitus in my wrist so need to immobilize my wrist and thumb. This is a very useful brace and is not sweaty like a few I have tried. It is not really firm enough for my particular problem but would be brilliant for milder stresses and strains. It is comfortable and fully adjustable. I will keep it as it covers a multitude of ailments and is really comfortable to wear.

Wrist Velcro fastening soon gave up otherwise a comfortable and effective thumb support at a very reasonable price
It’s a good brace apart from the Velcro which goes around your thumb. That becomes unusually too quickly and then just flaps around which is annoying but generally this brace is ok.
I have tendonitis in my thumb and it’s very painful. I bought this to see if would help and because it seemed good value for money. It’s amazing! I wear it 24 hours a day and it’s so comfortable. It’s helping a lot with the pain control and I’m hoping that by keeping my thumb in one position it will eventually sort itself out.
I am travelling backwards & forwards every three months, between the U.K. & Austria. From door to door I use 3 taxis, 2 aeroplanes & 2 trains. I am under the way with two Samsonite wheeled cases. As a 65 year old with developing arthiritis, particularly in the right hand, I chose the ‘BraceUP Thumb Spica Support Brace’ to give me as much support as possible. This I found to be the serious experience! I needed to prepare for security by removing this brace, other than that this is a very serious medical support!
Like the fact helps my arthritis, but dont like I’ve got to take off every so often in the day. Hand starts to get warm and itches. It does the job though and not bad value for money.
This was for my wife whose job requires long hours of working with a computer keyboard. This definitely gave her hand, thumb and wrist additional support and together with an upright mouse provided immediate pain relief, and the pain had been quite severe. Great product!
I have tried 5 different thumb and wrist support this year due to arthritis. These have been far and away the best fitting ones I have come across. The strap around the thumb is very well placed, unlike some others I have tried.
This is the third thumb brace I have bought and is the best. It restricts wrist movement more than the others, which seems to be important in my case. However, why so stingy with the hook and loop fasteners (aka ‘Velcro’ – other makes are available)? (A problem with all three.) I think I’ll have to extend/replace at least two of the three fasteners.
Got this for my Dad as he has Arthritis in his hand and is awaiting an operation, he says it’s a great support and keeps his hand warm which helps with the pain.
I’ve been using this thumb brace for the past couple of weeks after dislocating my thumb and fracturing the bone at the base of the thumb that also damaged the ligaments/tendons so very sore and vulnerable all around that area. The brace has provided excellent support and protection by immobilising the thumb with the two solid splints that hold it in place and prevent it from bending in any direction, thus minimising the chances of further damage or pain. I’ve been able to continue playing football with it on, that’s how great the protection is. No way would I risk it without the brace.
A wondefully designed reversible fit means the brace can be used on both left or right hand and the velcro straps allow for a fully customisable fit. I have fairly small hands but the fit is excellent. If you have large hands, the fit will be just as good as you simply adjust the straps accordingly. The velcro is the newer, light sticking type that is very easy to stick on and off without any effort but effectively stays in place. Very comfortable to wear for extended periods and I’m glad I bought this one as there’s quite a choice of different braces on Amazon. I can comfortably use my computer/mouse and even drive whilst wearing it. The material is breathable and of a good quality
I highly recommend this for a dislocated thumb or any other type of thumb injury where you need protection for the thumb and/or the base of the thumb and/or palm all the way down to the wrist. So far, I’ve not noticed any negatives in the two weeks I’ve been wearing it.
Slightly tough and awkward to use when you need them for both left and right hands due to Ehlers-Danlos and Arthritis.
That said once you manage to get them on and fixed into position then they are way better than the next to useless ones that I’ve had supplied by the NHS over the years, either too stiff from metal inserts or not stiff enough …. story of my life!
Very comfortable splint offers good support only negative from me is one of the velcro straps is already losing its grip but that does make it easier to undo.
Overall i would recommend this support.
Update as of April 2020:
I still have these though I don’t use them as much as I used to. They still work but look very worn now. I think it likely that had I used them more they would have given up the ghost some time ago but considering the condition of other not so comfortable and more expensive braces, I still think these are great value and would recommend.
Very supportive of my thumb and wrist both of which are osteoarthritic. I am wearing it now as I use the computer and can do most things with decreased pain whilst wearing the brace. I haven’t washed it yet so I can’t comment on how the product is after laundering but it looks as if it would be fine. Very pleased with this brace and I have tried quite a few in the past.
