    I was amazed at how BIG and HEAVY this is. It is the kind that you will find at a Chinese restaurant. And it came pre-seasoned. I have not seasoned this wok as of yet and I have used it twice. Just wash it and dry with a dry cloth. I feel that you only have to season it once every 3 months, if you don’t use your wok a lot. Good for vegan cooking and more. Comes with lots of directions, nice lid and a spoon. I would keep this one a secret from co-workers, family and friends. Some things are just too good to share with others.

    Have used several times for stir fry and Asian dishes and have had great results. Love the clear top to be able to see food as cooking. I have only use very coarse salt, very hot water and brush on my cast iron pieces and it worked very well on this also.

    The quality of the wok, or as I call it “kazan”, is much better than I expected. It is soo good that I even bought the second one.
    It came preseasoned so I didn’t have to season it right away. I will probably have to reseason it at some point but with more use, it should keep getting better.

    It has a thick material so it is heavy but it is part of having a cast iron product. It is best for cooking.
    The depth of it is actually very convenient and easy to use. The depth was my main concern but it is as deep as it needs to be. The lid is a big surprising bonus – very good quality and because of the silicone rubber around it fits perfectly. I’m also planning to use the lid for other pans I have.
    Would definitely recommend it and it is well worth the price.

    Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGenerell ist vieles hier ja bereits durch das Produkt klar. Gusseisen ist bei guter Pflege quasi unverwstlich. Positiv finde ich, dass das Eisen relativ glatt ist. Ich benutze den Wok beispielsweise auf Ceran und erzeuge damit keine Kratzer. Nach mehrmaligem Einbrennen und kochen wird die Patina auch immer besser und er lsst sich inzwischen bereits sehr einfach mit Wasser und einem Lappen reinigen. Ich wrde empfehlen, wenn man keine Erfahrung hat, sich etwas in die Pflege einzulesen.

    Interessenten sollten aber bedenken, dass der Wok durch das Material relativ schwer ist und auch keinen Stielgriff hat. Man muss also immer an den beiden Seitengriffen angeben und schwenken. Da diese beim Kochen sehr hei werden knnen braucht man Handschuhe oder Topflappen.

    What can I say!!! Not too heavy, preseasoned, not over sized and came with a lid. I have used this wok at least five times now with no problems. I definitely would recommend this wok. I may be purchasing another one so I can make my fried rice with out having to reclean. No regrets! Love it.

    I received my wok 4/22/21. I cooked my first meal (Chicken stir fry w/hoisin sauce) 4/23/21.
    I am simply amazed at how well the food turned out! The chicken had that golden brown char that you can only achieve with cast iron. I have 2 other woks with the “non-stick”coating that replaced Teflon, they can’t hold a candle to this wok! In fact I will be finding the new homes very soon! I have been trying to achieve professional results for many years with my stir fry cooking, I achieved it right out of the box with this wok! The food was absolutely delicious! It looked like it had been prepared at a restaurant. I would gladly and highly recommend this wok to anyone! Bon appetit!     Heute das 1. mal genutzt nach vorheriger Einbrennung laut Herstellerempfehlung. Sehr schnelle gut verteilte Erhitzung des Wok’s , ein sehr gutes Aroma von frischem Gemse. Alles zubereitet auf einem Induktiosherd. Es wurden nur Holzlffel und spezielle Speisezangen zum Vermengen genutzt. Angebrannt wurde nichts aber trotzdem ein sehr gutes Rstaroma . Wie gesagt 1. Anwendung hoffe aber dass das so bleibt. Deswegen volle Punktzahl. Wrde diesen Artikel wieder kaufen.

    Der Boden ist fr ein Kochfeld etwas uneben, was man aber spielend beheben kann. Ich nutze ihn meist auf dem Grill, habe trotzdem den Boden KURZ mit einem Handbandschleifer beschliffen und mit feinem Sandpapier abgezogen (2min arbeit). Da zerkratzt da nix mehr und funktioniert tadellos auf dem Ceranfeld.

    Was viele nicht machen: Merkzettel Lesen!
    Das steht eindeutig dass er eingebrannt werden soll, was aber auch so jedes Kind wei, denn das ist verdammt nochmal GUSSEISEN! Nix mit Rost!

    Ich habe ihn dnn mit Sonnenblumenl eingerieben und 1h bei 350Grad in den Grill, die gleiche Prozedur noch einmal.
    Das ganze funktioniert auch im Backofen bei 250Grad und 1mal einbrennen wrde ggf auch reichen.

    Da rostet nix und er hat die beste Antihaftbeschichtung die man sich berhaupt vorstellen kann.

    Von mir eine bedenkenlose Kaufempfehlung.

    Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersSummary: Perfect Wok if cared for properly, It is absolutely perfect in every way. If you have never owned Cast Iron please do your Research for proper maintenance.

    I want this Review to be the one that leaves you feeling confident in your purchase. I’m a Chef and I wanted to buy my first cast iron wok, I’ve only ever used traditional Carbon steel woks.
    When I read all the low star/negative reviews I started to doubt my purchase, but after using this wok for the last week daily, I am overjoyed at how well it performs. Seems to me a bunch of people just don’t understand how to take care of cast iron at all.

    My tips for complete success in Properly Seasoning this Wok out of the Box are as follows:
    immediately with very Hot Water with Dish Soap. Give it a good scrub with a scouring pad. Dry the wok by hand with a paper towel. Preheat your oven to 350F, Pour some Vegetable oil (you can do some research if you want to use a different oil) into the wok, not too much. Use a Paper Towel and coat the entire Wok in Oil. I mean it, every part of the wok, Handles the bottom, ALL of IT. Place in the oven at 350F For 30min to an hour. Once done turn off your oven and leave it be inside to cool down to room temperature. I do this three times in a row to build up a base of seasoning.
    Now I said 350F but on your second go-around you can oil your wok again and heat it at 400F, Research shows that Seasoning your wok at the smoking point of the oil you use actually causes and firmer crystallization creating a glass-like coating which will provide an even better nonstick surface. Just remember if you try this don’t be scared of the burning smoke that will come off the wok, Open a window or just leave it in the oven and let everything cool down. Once you’ve seasoned your Wok a few times it’s pretty much set for life as long as it is well looked after. You can see in the photos that shine on my Wok, that’s what you want.
    Cleaning: Let the wok cool down after cooking, not completely but enough to handle. Hot water with a scouring pad, no soap. Once done you can toss the wok back on your heat source for 10 mins on med-high to completely dry out the wok. or even into the oven for a few minutes. If you don’t completely dry out the wok it will Rust.

    I love this wok. It is hard the get the right Wok Hay with it, so Uncle Roger probably would be disappointed with his niece for buying this, but it is high quality, and I was able to make better egg fried rice than Jamie Oliver.

    Die Verarbeitung ist erstklassig.
    Habe den Wok 2x 1 Std mit Leinl im Ofen bei 250C eingebrannt und eine vllig ausreichende Patina zw Antihaftbeschichtung erzielt.
    Auf einem Gasherd braucht die Pfanne ein ganzes Weilchen, bis sie auf Betriebstemperatur kommt, hlt diese dann aber sehr gut.
    Bin sehr zufrieden und kann diesen Wok nur wrmstens weiterempfehlen.

    PS: Ja, der Wok wiegt ein bisschen was. Gusseisen halt. Vorteil dabei: Gute Standfestigkeit auf dem Herd.

    Golden Review Award: 68 From Our UsersWenn man hier die Rezessionen des Woks liest, so scheint es, dass das Wissen um Gusseisen mit Oma wohl verloren gegangen ist. Deshalb an der Stelle mal ein paar Hinweise:

    Guseisenpfannen und der Wok halten gut und gern 100 Jahre und lnger. Ich habe eine Gueisenpfanne von meiner Oma in Benutzung. Die ist 102 Jahre alt. Nachhaltiger geht es also nicht. Wie behandle ich Gueisen richtig?

    1. Vor der Nutzung: Wok mit l einreiben, leer auf den Herd stellen, volle Pulle an machen. Entlfung an, Fenster auf, 10 Minuten rausgehen. Das l fest werden lassen = einbrennen. Das macht man 3x danach klebt nichts mehr in dem Wok an. Das nennt man Patina.

    2. Nach der Nutzung auskratzen (Pfannenwender oder Messer) und mit l + Kchentuch auswischen und wegstellen. Das Gueisen wird beim Kochen an die 400 Grad hei, da haben Bakterien keine Chance.

    3. Muss man ihn doch einmal abwaschen, mglichst nur mit Wasser (ohne Sphlmittel(, um die Patina nicht aufzulsen. Anschlieend sofort abtrocknen und mit l ausreiben. Dann rostet auch nichts.

    4. Zerstrt man die Patina doch einmal durch Abwaschen oder klebt es wieder im Wok, dann Schritt 1 wiederholen.

    Derart behandelt, habt Ihr das beste Kochgeschirr der Welt.

    Overall good wok and lid; it does what it’s supposed to do. Two minor quality issues though. First, the flat bottom isn’t very flat. The wok wobbles when placed on a flat ceramic stove surface which can lead uneven heating. Secondly, the wok is slightly oval shaped rather than perfectly round. Again, minor issues that are probably more perceptual than anything.

    I bought this last Christmas and I was skeptical. This was my first time buying cast iron and it was a gift. I opened it to look it over before I gifted it and it was thoughtfully packaged and the quality of the wok is amazing like restaurant grade. The person it was for LOVED it and enjoys making fried rice, rice noodles, and anything else that will fit in a wok. Excellent purchase and I will be buying a skillet because the wok was so great.

    This is a nice heavy wok that comes with a universal lid. I love it. Seems like all of the poor reviews are from people that are unaware of use and care of cast iron. It will rust if not cared for…If it does rust that does mean it needs some extra love with a though cleaning and then an oil rub down with time in a 375 sauna..it will love you back for pampering it.

Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen aber Pflegetipps als inlay wre wnschenswert. Eine Eigenschaft des Materials ist das ansetzen von Rost. Hilfreich dagegen ist eine feine lschicht nach dem subern aufzutragen und den Deckel nicht auf dem Wok lassen! Auch nichts aus Platzgrnden in den Wok stellen. Bei mir hat sich das Einreiben von etwas Speisel und das einlegen einer Serviette fr die Aufnahme der Luftfeuchtigkeit sehr bewhrt. Wenn saure Speisen wie s-sauer Soe zubereitet werden, den Wok sofort nach dem essen subern, da die Sure den Wok schnell rosten lsst. Auch keine Essensreste fr den nchsten Tag im Wok belassen, sonst gibts auch Rost. Wenn man diese Pflegetipps beachtet hat man sehr viel Freude daran. Ich mchte nicht mehr darauf verzichten.

    I love this wok because it is very study, heats up quick on my gas range and has a lit to cover your food. My only complaint is “seasoning” it for next use. After cleaning it, you have to season it by puttin it the oven for an hour at 400 degrees. I understand why seasoning it is important but I hate the burning smell of the oil bonding with wok to preserve it. Otherwise it is a great wok to own.

    Golden Review Award: 50 From Our UsersI have had this for several week now and I must say that I am very disappointed. Any and everything sticks to the bottom. I only use cast iron cookware, so I know how to clean and care for cast iron. This is just not worth the cost.

    Update 9/4/20: Since my initial disappointment, this pan had been sitting on top of my fridge collecting dust. So I decided to pull this down and give it another try. I cleaned it again with coarse salt and gave it a really good sanding. I then wiped it again with salt, then oil and placed in oven on 375 for about 40 mins. Once it cooled I repeated oil process and increased the heat. This time I let it stay in another 40 mins. I have used it now about 8-10 times and it is THEBOMB.COM. I haven’t had any food stick. I definitely recommend buying it now. However, be prepared to give it some love before cooking in the first time.

    Another Update 1/25/21: I forgot to mention that I also switched from olive & grapeseed to flaxseed oil. I am happy to report I have minimum to no problems. No matter what I cook, cleaning just involves a quick wipe. I still go over it with salt just because I am OCD. I only season/oil it every now and then as needed. Ok, no more updates. I promise.     Never thought I’d say this, but I cooked South Indian food in a cast iron wok! The shape is what made the difference- I used Lodge skillets before, or tried to, but no luck. This is great! Love it!!

    I was going to get a more traditional wok pan for the shaking and flipping but to be honest I dont have those skills. On top of that I have weak wrists and this is impossible for me at least to do those neat tricks.
    No tricks or skills needed I had an amazing stir fry in no time and noodles didnt stick one bit!

This wok is a one piece cast iron, pre-seasoned and ready to go. It looks good and is everything a wok needs to be. It gets used most days and is very easy to clean. I would say that this is the best wok I have bought over the years.

    Lo negativo o a considerar, el peso, aunque mantiene una estabilidad muy buena al cocinar, no lo hace factible poderlo mover con facilidad en el caso de querer saltear, al ser de hierro es uno de las formas ms saludables de cocinar, sin embargo el olor y el sabor es bastante notorio, incluso se tornan algo oscuros algunos alimentos,

    Al ser de hierro no tiene un antiadherente natural… Se pega un poco la comida.

    A la hora de limpiar algo complicado al ser tan pesado, suelo al terminar de lavar pasarle una servilleta con unas gotitas de aceite de oliva para que se mantenga mejor.

    Very well made wok of cast iron with flat-surfaced bottom/sturdy side handles. Easy to clean, too. Another great feature is the very useful lid with a steam-releasing vent hole. Great, GREAT value for the money!

    I enjoy cooking with cast iron it makes the food taste better. One reason I purchased this Wok was because of the lid. You can steam fish or vegetables. I also use frozen vegetables sometimes. When cleaning just follow the instructions that came with it. And the Wok well season and the food will taste better everytime It is seasoned correctly

    I love this wok. Received it as a Christmas gift and I have used it multiple times in the past month. It’s easy to clean up and it heats very well. Cooking stir-fry is easy with this wok. I love it and would highly recommend it. Love the lid too! It’s an added bonus.

    Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersFantastic for stir-frying Asian cuisines, particularly when used over open-flame stoves. Also excellent for regular pan-frying and sautees. Prevents veggies from turning to mush and adds authentic Asian flavour. Doesn’t need to be placed in the dishwater – a quick dry scrub with paper towel or a soapy sponge and rinse will leave it clean.

    Beware the handles, which are also cast iron and will quickly become too hot to be held, but can be addressed with plastic holders or protective mitts. This would be the only downside.

Baked at 420 for an hour recoated with a thin layer of lard and backed another 45 mins. This is a quality product don’t hesitate to purchase!!

    I knew it would be rather heavy. nevertheless it does well what it is supposed to do. I know now that if I ever need to cook larger dishes for more people I will buy a large carbon steel wok that is not too heavy.

    This is the wok I’ve been looking for. It’s a little bit heavy but not so much as to prevent swirling….It stays hot all through the finish of your recipe. It cooperates even when you’re just winging it. I use this wok almost every day and I have many pans and skillets and other pots and pans, but, this is the best ! I highly recommend this wok.

Not sure if it’s really the WOK or if it’s mental, but everything I’ve made in it seems to taste better than in a skillet. Heats evenly, love the lid too, it also fits on my big cast iron skillet so that’s a huge plus! So far I’m extremely happy with my purchase!
