Easy to assemble and easy to clean only downside is when your moving it no handle to lift off the ground to push bbq
follow instructions carefully it is worth the time in the end. good buy and probably the best bbq i have bought.
Great product but slow delivery. Stated as due 29th June to 11th July. On 11th July I got a text to click on a link to arrange delivery. The first available date was 13th and it looks as if the delivery company, Arrow FX, don’t deliver every day in my area. Not really good enough.
Ace in so many ways. Very cleverly designed. Some great handy features. Wish the cooking area was a touch larger but I can live with it.

First very impressed with the package,the attention to detail is incredible and easy to follow instructions. Secondly the quality of the grill fantastic plus the top grill is iron cast and this makes it a dream to cook, the adjustment tray works great and solid, good quality and all solid metal and all the parts fit perfectly. Very impressed. All this for a great value too.
Great quality. Easy to assemble. Good features. Delivery delayed but arrived in time for Father’s Day barbecue with the family.
It’s a very good bbq. It’s a lot more work to put it together than with the average bbq, but it’s worth it in the end.
Luckily, I am not one of the unlucky people here who received a broken bbq. They should be given a free replacement or total refund.
Take care when putting it together hinges for top take care assembly
So glad I decided to buy a Vonhaus BBQ after looking at many others in that price range the Vonhaus dident disappoint…took about 1-1/2 hrs for my wife and I to assemble taking our time stopping for coffee..took a little time to work out the rise and fall mechanism which really is a simple and very effective way to control the heat . Cooking really is a pleasure with this Vonhaus the cast iron racks make grilling very easy with none stick you great a great sear to the meat.. steaks cook to perfection, as do chicken pork sausage burgers etc ..I use a Matt for prawns and those very small items….and after use cleaning is very quick and simple the none stick racks wash clean in seconds , wipe down and stored all in 5 mins .
I’ve used many gas and charcoal bbq’s over the years and in its price range it doesent get any better than the charcoal Vonhaus so would highly recommend.
I bought this for my son as he loves cooking and wanted a ‘proper’ barbecue and he loves it and uses it as much as possible
Excellent bbq. Assembly was about 2.5 hours on my own. One panel wasn’t bent accurately at the factory and would not fit into place so I needed to use a hacksaw to cut a small section out to allow it to fit. Not that it was a major problem and it doesn’t affect the the final item. Everything’s else was as good or better than expected. Great buy.
This is a well-designed bbq that assembles easily, although it does take a while to do, about 75 minutes in my case. All the parts were there, mostly identified by stickers that take a bit of effort to remove (is such strong adhesive necessary, I’d have thought not?). All of the parts line up as intended and the final result is a very rigid bbq. I love the height adjustment facility, so many bbqs have the grill much too close to the charcoal. Well happy.
Very sturdy would suggest using a impact driver for ease of assembly.

Mid level skill to assemble and takes at least an hour even off you know what you are doing.
Really smart design and good but not excellent quality. Very good for the price.
One design flaw is that they have accidentally made the bottom axle too long if you install the wheels correctly. With the wheels back to front, they will not wobble, but the retainer nut will stick out. Did my best to solve with a wine cork drilled out with an 8mm bit.
Would recommend. I got it for 159.99 inc. delivery. Get a smaller cover than you think you need (90cm max) wide as you can lower the side tables.
This is so much better than our previous kettle BBQ and that caused me a few problems. I have to relearn to cook al fresco as this gets so much hotter than my last one. One or two things ended up a little crispier than usual, but the food was cooked and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
Cooks food really well. Very pleased. Easy to use & clean.

Mechanism to raise and lower the charcoal tray is easy enough to use (takes a bit of effort)
Cooking is great – you can cook stuff through without burning it. The unit is large enough to get a fierce load of coals far enough away to cook steadily without just immolating the outside of the food.
Flaws:
1) If you don’t get it very level then cooking grease / fat will run to the corner of the grill where it will run down the inside of the BBQ and drip onto the ground (rather than going into the ash tray). Our dog spotted this first (well duh). He thought he’d discovered meaty rain drops from heaven.
2) If it rains, water gets inside and fills up the ash tray at the bottom. Even when the lid is closed. OK, you can put a cover on it, but if you have a BBQ and leave it to burn out, and it rains overnight (which obviously it never does in the UK…), it will fill up with water. If you’ve been lazy (who me) and left some old ash in the tray you have a load of muddy slurry to clear up (serves me right). The lid does at least keep the grill area and charcoal tray dry, it’s just the ash tray that fills up with water.
3) The ash tray is removed through a narrow slot. If the ash has piled up in the middle it might be higher than this slot. In which case it will scrape off inside the body of the BBQ and either fall out on the ground, or if 2) has happened, sit there as a big messy splodge to be found later.
If, like me, you let 1), 2) & 3) happen at the same time, you’ve got quite a mess on your hands.
However the flaws above (which I think can be managed) don’t detract from the great cooking performance which has given us a number of really enjoyable BBQ’s so far this year.
Very good bbq used it twice now and very happy with it. Only criticism would be there is no handle to push it around, and the flooding shelf has six threaded holes for you to screw your hooks in too but only three hooks provided.
