Easy to install and great to keep the rain off the door step
Looks stylish too we bought a single for the back door and a double for the summer house
Although product is light to manoeuvre it is a good idea to get a second person to help when measuring up for anchoring to the wall as it is a metre wide and difficult to hold level and stretch to mark up.
I paid someone to install my canopy, and they found it easy to do. It’s larger than expected, but that’s a plus. It works to stop rain coming under the back door during periods of extreme rain.
Just what I wanted, good coverage for taking walking boots off. It was easy to assemble ( so the husband says!) and very easy to install. I’d definitely recommend
This canopy is good value despite being all plastic construction the support frame is very rigid and light. Assembly is easy but here is the only problem I found especially if you don`t have an assistant to help you.
I put up the centre support and assembled each of the end ones onto the perspex roof and secured them using the supplied screws in the ends, the plan was then to slide eachg side onto the already mounted centre support and secure in the holes I had already drilled, this was when the problem began. I bent the roofing material into the support but everytime I went to move the outer end it would pop back out again and again before I could secure the first bolt, so I took down the centre support assembled the whole canopy on the ground and drilled in 4 stainless steel self tapping screws (see photos) through the centre support to joint the two half together. After doing this the whole canopy was one piece and fairly strong, but a little bendy. I put the whole thing back up using the centre support first then each end in turn it was very easy once the canopy was in one and wasn`t constantly popping apart. Also the additional two screws I think will give added procetion to the joint in even the strongest of winds.
The anchor bolts that come with it are sturdy but I was fixing into a timber structure so opted for coach bolts instead but the supplied fixings look like quality anchor bolts.
As for strength well winter is coming and so will the winds I shall have to see how it fairs, that being said I think it will stand a pounding by strong winds – will let you know next summer.
All in all for the price a sturdy, well made peice of kit.
A very good sturdy canopy that I would expect to last a very long time. The sides are made of a polypropylene sturdy type of plastic with an aluminium frame with a 6mm polycarbonate sheet. It is very light but when fitted it is very sturdy. I used my own anchor bolts but there is 4 included. Overall, this is a very good quality door canopy at a very reasonable price. Would recommend.
Used for back door as rain was wetting the back door and it needs to be protected
Canopy over back door, keeps you dry whilst getting keys sorted, and keeps tiled step dry so not slippery. Also stops rain running down door and getting through catflap. Just what I needed. It also looks smart and sturdy.
Not easy to get the top plastic sheet into the profiled sides. Could also do with a mounting sheet template for hole centres. Use the cardboard box for this.
A bit of patience needed to assemble on your own, but when fitted does
a good job of keeping the rain off windows and doors
A great addition to my bbq shack to keep the serving area dry
Its good value for money though using 2 smaller sheets of polycarbonate it was a little more fiddly to assemble than another one I have that used a single bigger sheet.
Very solid and looks great for such a low cost solution.
Assemble canopy and then use cardboard to cut out template, marking screw holes. Use template to mark holes on the wall. Makes it easy for 1 person install. Attached a picture.
Product seems good and easy to put together.
Very good value and it arrived exactly on the day it was supposed to.
VOUNOT Front Door Canopy Outdoor Awning, Rain Shelter for Back Door, Porch, Window, 100 x 80 cm, Grey
Very pleased with this canopy, the windows on our summer house are going rotten because of the rain falling from roof directly on to sill, we decided to put up a canopy and it works a treat.
A bit big for a window really I thought and I was a bit worried but pleased with the result.
We ordered two and thought the price was very good for the quality.
They were very well packaged.
Went up quite easily but you do need two people really, very stable.
Instructions are good and pictorial.
Highly recommend
(hope you found my review helpful)
product conforms to the description, quick installation, does its job
Was value for money ,very attractive, very posh looking and now I will be ordering the double 1 for the back garden doors . And my 2 neighbours either side of my house are going to order 2 each as well thanku
I am very impressed with this door canopy as it covers my patio doors and it was relatively easy to assemble too. I paid just under 60 and I believe it is very good value for money.
It is very sturdy once installed properly on the wall with provided anchors. I used my Bosch GBH 2 26F SDS drill machine and Bosch Expert SDS 10mm bit and it was easy to drill into bricks. I did have a piece of wooden batten length leftover from my Trellis so I marked the holes on wood while the assembled canopy stayed on ground and then drilled through the wooden batten to create a template. Once all the holes lined up on Batten, it was easy to mark up the exact location of 6 holes needed to mount it on the wall.
Used a mallet to drive the anchors in the wall starting from the middle bar of the canopy. I used my Amazon Umi Spanner rachet set to tighten the bolts. After that just put those plastic caps provided to hide the bolts. Job done in an hour not including the hour for assembly. So for two hours of DIY, I have a very stylish and sturdy canopy sheltering my patio doors from rain and snow, what more you want.
I would definitely buy more for my windows in few weeks time.
Easier with 2 people, assemble first ,hold up mark ,drill ,then together fix in place..found this the best way for me, my brickworks not flat…
It’s very good for the price. Sturdy plastic, with aluminium struts. Recommended.
Using it to protect m,y bicycles from rain ( ireland) and it is very solid and resistant.
A little awkward to put together but fine once its assembled.
Seems very strong and looks great when fitted , get a friend to help install though because as warned it is a very awkward job on your own . Overall very happy and would buy again .
Every is great, easy to put together & to put up , arrived before the date which was very good all round we are very pleased with i
Easy to fit with 2 people.
All plastic but quality is good
Excellent canopy easy to fit comes will all parts needed.Really Smartens up the front of the house and protects you from the rain.
We ordered this canopy for our back door. It was really worth the money and does the job. Easy to assemble and very sturdy. No regrets and would definitely recommend. Excellent.
Excellent rain cover. Looks great!
Not much in the way of instructions. YouTube videos would help here.
Would recommend using a long strip of wood with pre-drilled, horizontally arranged holes as a template for drilling holes into the wall. Also use a wood template for the vertical holes. You can selotape a spirit level to the long strip of wood. You should then have no problem attaching the assembled canopy up onto the wall.
M10 expansion bolts provided are very good. You hammer them in and finally screw (tighten) to lock them in.
I also bought self-adhesive aluminium tape to cover the open ends of the polycarbonate sheets to prevent water getting in to the channels.
Great product but instructions lacking.
Mould is creaping up between the twin wall polycarbinate…no way of getting it ou
Bought as a replacement for one that was damaged, 6 weeks In and it has broken so have had to take down. No option to replace or refund as out of 1 month
The canopy arrived easy to install sturdy product looks great very happy
You need two persons to assemble and put up but once in place, it is a very sturdy canopy.
We love this door canopy we had a problem every time it rained before we got the canopy, when we opened the door the rain would drip in but now everything is nice and dry.it’s good quality and was easy to install
Easy to install. Good quality. Very happy with the produc
As others have said it is better if two people are available to fit it. I believe I would have managed one section by myself but two sections were out of the question for me. We made a template using part of the box so that we could mark up the bolt holes on the harled wall and that worked perfectly. Holes were drilled accurately and bolts were inserted as instructed. We did one section at a time and it went up really well.
The side door where we fitted it is subject to considerable through draught but it survived a very stormy period of weather 2 days after erection. I was really surprised that it survived the storm and was solid throughout. Verey pleased with the outcome.
Very happy with a purchase. Quick shipping. 2 screws were too short for proper instalation but can get those screws in any shop.
The two polycarbonate sheets differ slightly, but over time that won’t be so obvious. What I do like is the lightness of the product combined with obvious sturdiness.
Easy to assemble and fit. Looks nice and keeps driving rain away from the back door. Would buy again.
Plus I got entertainment from reading some of reviews. Not hard to put up if you can use a tape measure, drill and spirit level.
How some so called trades people can struggle, i dont know.
Mike
Looks okay you need two people to assemble it and put it up as it keeps coming apa
Easy to put together and fit great for the money
I’m happy with this purchase, my wife has been onto me about putting one of these up over our front door. This was one of the only ones we found that would actually fit our opening. When it arrived it was easy to assemble and it only took me 30 minutes to fit to the wall. Very happy with the outcome.
It needs 2 people to make installation easy. Certainly help keep the rain off the back door.
This product in my opinion is overpriced for what it is. It could have been a bit sturdier, but its fine for where actually want it for.
Definitely needs 2 people bit hard to bend the perspex roof took a few times comes out one end when youv got other End in. But overall very happy looks nice when up.
Arrived quickly via Amazon.
Well packaged luckily as packing did get slight damage, the contents were safe and un-damaged.
Follow the instructions and this goes together easily.
However, you do need to make a template (we used some old hardboard) to set out where the fixings need to go into your wall as this will save a lot of measuring and guesswork. It would be an improvement if the supplier could provide a template, perhaps printed on the inside of the box.
Also, I doubt this can fitted solo, as 2 pairs of hands are needed so one can balance it against the wall while another persons fits the screws.
It is strong – you can work on a ladder rested against it without any issues if you take sensible care.
We are very happy now its up and doing a great job.
Easy to assemble and install and does the job perfectly.
The canopy is great very disappointed that it didn’t have any instructions at all 4 emails to the seller and amazon I got no reply what so ever not good customer service
eally needs at least two men to do a decent fix but looks good when done
Easy to install looks great value for money keep the rain off.
The instructions are not comprehensive but guide you. I bought the double with 3 brackets. Tools – spirit level,14 mil spanner or socket. Size 10 masonry drill. Phillips screw driver. Small mallet/hammer. Bolts supplied are perfectly adequate for cement and brick if fitted correctly. Trick for a 1 person install is assemble first pane and two brackets. Use the spare 3rd bracket to mark your first top hole. Fit loose without tensioning bolt to that hole to get the next top hole. Drill. Then fit both top holes. Bottom holes you can drill through the bracket holes. Once up, then add extra pane and bracket. Mine is very sturdy. Great value
I like the look and it protects from the rain. Easy to assemble and to install. I’m very happy with my purchase.
Pretty tricky to assemble but once connect all up it’s very sturdy
Item came well packaged and in perfect condition. Assembly was simple & fixing onto wall seems solid.
Woke up to a wet garden after a rain shower, to find door & doormat area dry. Just what we needed.
It was so good one of my friends wanted one, so I ordered a second one.
Product came quickly and well packaged. Easy enough to install with two people. Haven’t put it to the test with the elements yet but so far pleased. Going to look at ordering a single to add to i
Husband found it fairly easy to put up, and does the job stopping rain coming into door way.
Fiddly to install on your own but possible. Okay let’s be honest it doesn’t stop a lot of rain but it does provide a little shelter and it looks good as a feature to an otherwise empty space
Over door canopy, had to pay to have it put up but well worth i
No dislikes good value for money, that is what I like
Firstly it’s mostly plastic, the references to aluminium apply to the top and bottom edging strips. This does not detract from the sturdiness and I hope that it will maintain it’s appearance for longer. Secondly, I’m a chippy used to fitting all manner of things but this was a bit of a challenge on my own. I had to resort to using a sash cramp in the end to force and hold it all together so that I could fix the screws.
Once assembled it’s light and easily handled but that’s not a plus if you’re faced with a windy day – definitely better with two people! However, I did get it fixed up, on my own and it looks great. Time will tell how it performs but I’m very pleased with it so far.
This is a very good easy to install door canopy. Which I have put over my back door. The service from the supplier is excellent.
No more getting wet waiting for the dogs to pee.
Used this item for my back door good value for the money
Good and sturdy once installed, lacks a template for marking holes so you need two people really. Could do with a wall gasket to seal the top of the frame to the wall otherwise it leaks and drips. You could seal it with mastic but if you ever want to take it down you will be left with a nasty line of mastic. I guess for the price it is decent value.
Perfect for over our patio doors when it’s raining . Easy to assemble but a bit awkward to put up you definitely need help for this . When reading the reviews I saw that someone had recommended to do a template so that’s what we done and found it much easier when measuring up.
Great just what I wanted, fixings weren’t great and a bit fiddly but looks fab!
Easy to ensemble and install. Took 30 mins by myself – would be easier with a helping hand. Tip measure and mark out drill positions from the assembled item. use 6mm drill first then 10 mm (if using fittings supplied) as others have mentioned a template in the box would make it a little easier but simple measuring of the hole spacing on each bracket and between the brackets then marking out works fine.
Fairly simple, easier with 2 people for marking out but can manage on your own, looks grea
Good canopy & easy to install, the only thing that would make this a 5star product is the addition of a rubber seal on the wall side.
also as per previous reviews template would be useful.
I bought the 3 panel version, about 2m long, to use as a shelter for a bike and the bins. I put it up on my own, although it would have been easier with 2 people. I am tall though, and too be fair, this canopy isn’t heavy – its just awkward to hold up and mount with 1 person. All the parts were present, the instructions were clear enough to follow. Once you do one panel, it flies up. We have already had a lot of bad weather, and its located in the side passage which gets a lot wind and buffetting. But it hasn’t shifted an inch. It looks the business too, certainly a lot more than the cost of it. I would certainly recommend it to anyone.
he item itself is fine for the price but the fixings are awful, get yourself down to Screwfix for a pack of rawl bolts, less than 3 and you won’t regret it. like i said the canopy is absolutely fine.
Sturdy and does its job. Easier for two people to put it up, though.
Great product ,Very easy to assemble with a few Tools.
Had one before and was not as strong as this product .
Not bad at all. But would benefit from a flexi seal to brickwork. I had to silicone the gap.
Study.
Made of plastic but looks pretty good.
Leaking in rain at the back door rubbers appear to be in good condition fitted a weather board to the door, cleaned drain holes in the thresh board, it was still still leaking, this canopy appears to have done the trick it fends off the bleaching rain. It is also pleasant on the eye it was a good buy.
