I bought a ring doorbell on sale but couldnt believe i had to pay a monthly subscription to use the storage!
I sent it back and after a lot of research found this one.
Absolutely brilliant.
Not only is there no subscription charges but it was a lot cheaper!
All i needed was a memory card so i could view playback. It connects to all my alexa devices theough the smart life app and when someone presses the doorbell. Instead of a little notification at the top of your phone. It comes up like a video call that you can answer. Brilliant.
Would definitely recommend!
excellent video doorbell, when someone rings the doorbell, it comes up live feed and tells you someone is at door on my alexa show 10, despite reviews saying it will not work with alexa, it really does work and great quality live feed day or night, fully recommend, great price
Nice picure,really pleased-easy setup via app.Have hardwired it to my 12volt chimes–works great.Feels robust,well made and nice attractive looks.Fitted 128 gb.micro sd.card for storing images/recordings.Highly recommended for price!
Bought for my father after waiting and waiting for the blink video doorbell to be released. Found easy to set up. Install the app and then choose the Security & Video sur … menu then select wifi doorbell. Turn on the door bell by pressing the on/off button on the back for 3s. Then on the app follow the instructions selecting your 2.4g wifi. Then when the QR code is displayed on your mobile, take the video doorbell and point its camera at the QR code on your phone. Then follow instructions on screen until set up. Found the door bell to be good quality if not a little bulky compared to my Google doorbell. The thing I like about this doorbell compared to my Google doorbell is the fact that when the doorbell is pressed it rings your mobile like a call. My Google doorbell justs sends an icon on my screen and a notification that someone’s at the door which I miss everytime. I’ve rated 4 star due to the size off the doorbell compared to Google. But its a cheap good buy with plenty of features.
First impressions of this doorbell is that it looks (in my opinion) better than most of the more well known alternatives, it is slim and sleek and looks great. There are two options, battery or mains powered so pick accordingly, I’d recommend the mains powered one if you have the wiring or the willingness to install wiring.
The negatives – main one is that there isn’t a chime given as part of the package, that will need to be paired to an existing alexa device (echo dot for example) so if you don’t have one of those then budget for that as well when considering this purchase.
Other than that, the picture quality is fine and it rings every time the button is pressed – thats all you want from this kind of device.
4 stars from me, it would be 5 if a chime came with.
Great product, step by step instructions to set up the app and linking it. Only slight criticism is that there’s no fitting instructions. But to be fair it wasn’t rocket science
I was really surprised how easy it was to setup the door bell camera. It connected to my home wifi without any issues also. I was particularly impressed with the picture quality, both in the daytime and at night. I will keep the review updated with how well it performs over time.
This arrived in perfect condition in its own branded box.
This review is a little long winded and I’m not very tech savvy so I may not use the correct terms. Please be patient with me lol.
You get everything needed to set this camera up and to attach it to your door. You need to install an app and follow the instructions to set it up and share it with your phone. It can be a little overwhelming but if you take your time and do it step by step you should be OK.
You get a panel that is fixed to a wall or a door, and the camera fits into it and is secured by a small screw, the screw will need to be removed when it needs charging.
When set up it you will recieve updates to your mobile or tablet whenever it detects movement or if the bell is rung. You can also have messages sent to numerous devices. The pictures are good quality and show good detail. The battery is charged by a USB lead, and the battery life is really good. You can also hardwire this device to your mains supply.
There are multiple settings that you have control over. You can set the sensitivity for picking up movements, and you can select the area you want to record, you can even choose to record a video from your phone, and you can communicate through your phone to whoever is near the camera or who rings the bell.
I haven’t set mine up outside because I’m not confident that the small screw is enough to keep this secure. I’ve set mine up in my front room as a security device, so should anybody gain entry I will have photo evidence, but I intend to set this up on our back door where it will be more secure.
The only problem I have with this product is that I’m not confident with how secure it is when fitted to your door, as it’s only a tiny screw that secures it to the fittings. If you connect it to your mains then it maybe more secure and more difficult for thieves to remove it.
In my opinion, this camera does what I need it to do and there are no added costs to using this; you don’t have to pay any subscriptions in order to use this.
Good camera doorbell but with a little itch battery doesn’t last long when charged last up to to 5-days but really with siren alarm incase of close encounters. I could offer five stars due to battery life
I didn’t think I would ever get this up and running as it seemed to take forever to set it up and get everything connected correctly-not helped by the fiddly screws especially as we dropped one and then took ages to find it! The instructions weren’t the best as as we had already installed one before on a previous property we managed to muddle through from memory. The doorbell is connected to our our old ringer and works well. The picture quality is good especially the night vision and once you are used to it you can vary the settings to suit yourself too. I’m really pleased with it!
This was easy to install and connect via WiFi. You need to download the Smart Life app and use this to install the doorbell. Easy to connect to Alexa – I have connected to my Echo Show. So can see who is at the door. Very happy with my purchase which with 20% voucher was around 54. Bargain!
I have a glass porch so windows all around with a small walk way to my porch, this door bell picks up my neighbours walking/driving past and the picture quality is great.
I like the fact it’s discreet, it doesn’t look like your traditional ring door bell which can be rather bulky and ugly looking which this door bell isn’t, very discreet and looks just like a regualr door bell just a little longer in length.
Excellent voice clarity even if it does spook the other person at your door.
Excellent as a security option if a parcel that has been recorded as being dropped off and it hasn’t or it goes missing.
Great idea that multiple devices can log into this so any family memeber can download the app.
Excellent battery length, 5 weeks in and still haven’t and to charge the battery up.
Great value for money, appears very well made and sturdy which is obviosu as soon as you take this out the packaging.
Easy installation, and clear instructions once you download the qr code , would highly recomend for those who may have reduced mobility and find getting to the front door quick enough you can simply talk through your phone to tell the person to wait a bit longer for you to get to the door, or just anyone.
Saves a lot of time and awkwardness with uninvited callers without you having to leave the comfort of your chair.
works well and is fairly easy to set up and install.
its 1080p and the picture and audio quality is absolutely fine for a wireless doorbell.
considerably cheaper than so other well know brands to.
overall excellent quality and value for money
I thought about why the price was so high when I looked up the doorbell and wondered if it would like up to the likes of known brands like ring considering how expensive it was. It’s really quite a good doorbell. First of all because it just make our flat look fancy and I get commented on it all the time. Second because it just really works. I had a doorbell the played a certain song that the kids picked. With this camera I can actually see who is at the door. It has a choice to either be wired in and screwed to the door or it can be stuck on with an adhesive backing. I chose the backing incase I wanted to take it off easily. You can also choose to have it rechargeable battery operated and charge it via cable. This is way different to my other one which had a button battery. This is a brilliant piece of tech. Very fancy. Would recommend.
I really wanted one of the top brand bells, but couldn’t justify the cost because there is someone at home 99% of the time. I think this is a good alternative. It installs really easily and seems to work really well. There’s good picture quality even in the dark and the audio works fine. The motion sensor is good although it does tend to pick up my neighbours as we have a shared drive. On the plus side, I know no one can sneak up from the neighbours drive without the motion sensor picking it up. I haven’t managed to link the bell to either of the chime units I was using before. This is a bit of a negative because my husband hasn’t really got the hang of his phone being mobile. If he goes upstairs without his phone when IZ’m out, he doesn’t know the bell has been activated. I’m pretty sure some Googling or YouTubing will provide an answer, but I don’t have time to do that right now. If I figure it out I’ll try to remember to come back and paste a link to this preview. Also, I haven’t got my head around charging the bell. There must be a way of doing it without taking the bell down, otherwise you’d be stuck without a bell each time the battery is low. Again, when I work out the solution I’ll try to post it.
The phone is adequate, I think the branded ones have a few more bells and whistles but this does the job. I’m happy to recommend it.
I really like this “Winees Video Doorbell Camera Doorbell” is fantastic and simple and easy to install, but you need wifi to be working.
I have the Smart life App from before so I just need to connect the doorbell, (was easy) yes, is simple just follow the process on the App and the doorbell will work.
Then obviously you have to place it on the door and obviously, we take it the option with the screws, to make it safer.
The App is simple to use but if you want recording you need to place a Micro SD storage card (not included) maximum of 128 G at the moment I didn’t place any.
In the App you can see the battery level too with is great.
The quality of the image is good even in the dark you can still watch from there.
The sound is good too, and the design is compact and elegant.
Is well made and looks resistant to me, plus is waterproof, is a great doorbell, I am very happy about it, I totally recommend it.
We’ve tried a few security cameras and this is the first video doorbell we’ve tried. Here are out thoughts:
We’re not sure how easy it is to steal a Ring doorbell but this is really easy to steal and there are no installation instructions – it’s very easy to just lift this our of the cradle. Whilst there is an alarm it’s not like a house alarm and can be turned very easily. It would be good if the alarm could only be turned off by the App.
Two options for video/image storage – Cloud or internal SD card. No details in the box on how to setup the former! Given how easy it is to steal we’re not sure we’d want to risk losing a 128Gb SD card with all of our comings and goings.
Reasonable instructions on how to set up Smart Life App. We’re already using it for lights so we have the App and it was very easy to add this wireless video doorbell.
Good quality images and PIR
Good alerts to phone
Compatible with Alexa and Google home should you want it
Two power options Integrated battery or DC connection but again no instructions
We are really unsure about this. We like the image quality but not happy about how easy it is to steal. We’re liking it might be better as a back garden PIR sensor rather than a doorbell.
This is the first smart doorbell camera I am using. My spouse installed the door bell and said it was easy to setup.
It’s required to download the smart life app and to detect the door bell. The clarity of the videos are quick ok but they’re not HD. It has motion sensor too, if someone is infront of the cam for long time, or some motion detected infront of the camera, it notifies us. The night vision is a bit grainy but it is visible. The audio is quite clear.
The charging capacity is good, I think for one charging the cam would be active for almost 3 months. The charging takes about 4 hrs at one go.
So the positives are smart doorbell cam, can get notifications, day and night videos decently good but wouldn’t say excellent and good charging capacity.
I live in a three story house and am inevitably on the first or second floor when the doorbell rings, so I was very pleased to have the opportunity to try this video doorbell.
I was disappointed when it arrived that there were no installation instructions, only the guide to the Smart Life app that controls operation. Fortunately, installation is quite straightforward and only took a few minutes.
I was concerned that it uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection as, although I have a two channel smart hub, I’ve had previously had problems connecting other 2.4 GHz devices, but it connected instantly.
I already had the Smart Life app installed on my Android smartphone and connecting the video doorbell was simple using the instructions. I also connected it to my Echo Show. Next to the charging port is a slot for a micro SD card, which can be used to store the images, which can be viewed via the Smart Home app. Be sure to install it before installing the doorbell in the mount!!
Before use, the battery should be fully charged. Charging should take about four hours and a full charge should last for several weeks. You need to detach the doorbell from the mount to charge it. Beware, when you remove it the anti-tamper alarm will sound. Turn off the doorbell to silence it.
The doorbell is triggered by a PIR sensor, and notifications are sent to any connected smart devices. Opening the app give a video view of the outside and activates a two-way audio channel. To be honest I’ve not found this too useful, except when a delivery arrived unexpectedly while I was out. It was really great to be able to talk to the driver and tell him where to put my parcel.
Video quality is more than adequate, bot in daylight and after dark.
There are some downsides.
The chime, which is built into the doorbell, is quite loud. Loud enough for our neighbours to hear, but not loud enough for us to hear on the top floor.
The PIR sensor, even on the lowest setting is far too sensitive; it’s triggered by every passing pedestrian or vehicle.
Overall, a good value video doorbell.
I ordered this door bell as a way of checking for parcel deliveries with so many of mine going missing more recently- and have been quite impressed so far.
I didn’t have an actual door bell beforehand so mine was a slightly different installation than described for people with existing door bells. My brother in law (who is part electrician) was able to fit this for me and advised it wasn’t a complicated installation.
You have to charge it beforehand and then it should last supposedly 3-4 months before it needs to be charged again (with cable included), which gives you a really good battery life.
Waterproof and has great visibility in both day and night. Does have a few other features on it, like detecting if someone is stood for too long near your door and trying to tamper with it. This hasn’t happened for me so I’m not able to comment on whether this works accurately or no.
It connects to an app on your phone and uses your wi-fi so is really straight forward to use. You can buy an inexpensive memory card for recordings if you want that. It’s something I might look in to but haven’t yet so can’t comment.
Priced at around 70 does make me wonder if this is a litter overpriced with the amount of options available on the market. However so far I’ve been quite pleased so feel it probably is close to its price tag.
Overall we’ve been pleased with this and happy to recommend.
I was in the middle of looking and deciding between a Ring and a Google video doorbell when I had the opportunity to test this product.
I am so glad I got the opportunity because I am seriously impressed.
Firstly it is very easy to install, couple of small holes in the wall and use the plugs and screws that come with it (or use the adhesive strip) and then decide for your faceplate if you want to angle it (we did). Screw in the other 2 screws included then attach the device using a safety screw. 5 mins tops. Don’t be like me though, make sure you turn it on before you secure it or you have to go back!
I already have the Smart Home app and it was discoverable again in seconds. 10 mins start to finish and I was using it.
App works well, you can look at still images from motion detection but you can’t watch historical clips unless you install an SD card (which should set you back about 8 quid for 64gb).
Now I can watch clips back and it highlights times when you’ve had motion you can’t just select a random time.
But no need for cloud subscription which is a bonus.
Picture quality is fantastic and night vision is good too, although it can get a little washed out at distance but I’d say that is to be expected.
The only downside is when it rings. There is no external chime, it goes to phones which isn’t too bad. But when the alert goes off, the picture never loads so you can’t easily interact with the person at the door.
Sometimes when it does load then the 2 way chat is quiet and a bit slow. That’s the down side (the door bell aspect of a video doorbell!). Not the end of the world because you can just go to the live stream and see people from there.
I have been using a branded door bell and after using this wireless video doorbell. I can safely say that this doorbell definitely gives a tough competition to the expensive branded doorbells. The camera quality is great. And it has all the features you will need. The only drawback is that the battery time is a bit poor. I was expecting better battery time. Other than that it works really well.
Nice easy installation. Connects via WiFi and you just download the app on your phone to pair the device. Clear images, accurate motion detection. Nice long battery life and quick recharge. Reasonably priced security.
Setting this video doorbell up was relatively straightforward: download the SmartLife app (this is a bonus if you already have SmartLife compatible products because you don’t need yet another proprietary app) and set up an account, or log-in, add the device and switch it on, let the camera read the QR code and you should be good to go.
As a caveat: like most smart devices this runs on the 2.4ghz band and if your router on 5ghz it may not pick it up. The solution offered is to rename the 2.4 and 5ghz bands to ensure the device can be linked to 2.4ghz – but this can still be problematic if your phone is constantly switching between the two. My own conclusion a while ago was that to minimise drop-offs it was better to just switch off the 5ghz band altogether. I didn’t notice any real drop-off in speed and have had much more secure connections with smart devices since.
Once set up, the video door button gliws blue (you can switch this off), and sends an alert to your phone when pressed. You can answer from the notification panel and press the call button to speak to the caller. The actual picture quality is very good, even in low light, and the field of view is very wide (140), so no-one is going to be able to creep up to the door without being seen! There is a motion sensor (which can be switched off) that is very sensitive even on low. Unfortunately, there is no ability to limit the distance the sensor operates at, or mask off areas of the camera to limit alerts if you live somewhere with a lot of passing traffic/pedestrians – in that case you would need to limit it to just those actually pressing the doorbell.
Because it needs recharging regularly (I would be surprised if if can last three months between charges (particularly if the motion sensor is activated), it is relatively easy to remove, so you would probably want to subscribe to the cloud service if you wanted to retain evidence of trespass or break in should the burglar simply take the video doorbell with them!
Overall, it is a cheap alternative to the Ring and Nest video doorbells. It is probably less secure and lacks some of the features of those devices (limiting the distance and scope of motion detection ti to reduce false alarms), but picture quality is good, it does allow two-way communication, and it would provide at least some deterrent to the casual potential housebreaker. The battery operation makes it very easy to install, but it will need to be recharged on a regular basis (the battery indicator, and a low battery warning appear on your phone). If you have an elderly relative this might be a good option to keep tabs on any callers remotely, and remove anxiety for those living alone, or with reduced mobility.
It’s a hard plastic construction. I already had the app downloaded as I use it with a couple of lights!! So easy to add this camera/doorbell. Synced up easily. Supplied with a couple of holders to pop up, one set at an angle very handy! Picture quality as with any small camera as is great as long as there’s enough light! Night visions seems very good.
I was going to compare this to my other doorbell and sadly although this is cheaper it lacks certain key features. The motion detection is good and picture quality is great in good light and OK in night mode, I found it easy to put up but I do worry it can just be pulled off the door frame and stolen, its good not having any wires but it is a bit easy to remove the memory card.
The app is not bad and works ok, conversation are a bit laggy and the integration with Alexa is just alerts, it doesn’t do live video or show thumbnails of the motion it has detected in the alerts which is a shame.
Overall, at 75.99 I think it needs to be better for the money but if goes on a deal to less than 50 it’s a good doorbell for that sort of price.

This product was sent to me for free in return I write an unbiased review.
Good picture quality night and day. Easy installation. No cabling, no drilling required.
Device is rechargeable and gives warning before battery dies.
Alexa integration is easy and very useful. Two way communication is very good. You can talk to the person on your door from anywhere in the world.
Security cam feature is a must for video door bell. This one recognise human and reduces false alarms.
It’s a nice video door bell and I can easily recommend to anyone.
Hope this review would be helpful for your decision.
This is really powerful, it can be loud and really good motion detector. Linked to your phone the camera is very clear and covers quite a range both length and width wats. Linked up to the app within seconds , all the scan codes come up to join. I charged mine up , put it on the door and linked my phone and we were ready to go. . It’s actually easier than I thought to get the doorbell into the cradle and it holds it well. Much safer than I imagined. All in all excellent value and so much easier when I’m not at home. Worked just as good at night with the camera too
This is Winees Store Video Security Doorbell 1080p Night Vision 2 Way Audio Waterproof 2.4ghz WiFi. Includes fixings and USB to Micro USB charge lead.
You will need a micro SD memory card 32 or 64gb.
This video camera doorbell is quite easy to install, you will need the SmartLife App, once installed register. Once registered click the + symbol to add device, select WiFi network 2.4ghz, then select device from catagory Video Doorbell. Hold phone 6 inches infront of doorbell and it will pair. Once paired mount doorbell either plush to door, or with angled mount. It slots into case easily and if removed for a time it will sound an alarm for anti-theft.
The video records at 1080p and is motion triggered, it will save to your phone via memory card in device which you can access the back catalog of files easily.
A full charge should last a couple of months and it will charge in about 4hrs from flat. The charge is obviously depending on usage. You can hardwire if you choose, but I don’t see what you will gain tbh.
Unfortunately there is only one chime and the speaker is outside, but you will get push notifications to phone or smart device. I recommend an Amazon Alexa device, for full effect.
When pushed the doorbell has 2 way audio / video, so you can strike up a conversation via your smart device. The video quality is decent, 1080p, but most high end doorbells offer 4k now. The night vision is decent, but grainier than others. But you get what you pay for and the current price is 40, so not bad considering. Audio is clear and concise too, so that is a welcome bonus.
Overall if you are after a low end no subscription smart video doorbell, then you’d be hard pushed to find a better one.
Recommended.
I needed an inexpensive doorbell that would show me who was at the door and allow me to speak to them without me at home. This video doorbell does just that.
The quality of it made setup and installation very easy and fast. I added a 32GB sd card for recording and it works well. Connection to my wifi was immediate and motion detection works without any hitch and with no noticable lag in my opinion.
Love this doorbell. Completely hassle free installation, no wires no transformers and no hassle. Simply mount it where you want it whether it be in brick, framing or on the door itself and download the smart phone app. Within minutes you have it connected up to your WiFi (Make sure it’s connected to 2.4GHz network and if not google how to split your WiFi bands) then viola it’s connected up.
Once connected you can play about with the settings on the app and customise motion alerts, doorbell sounds, sensitivity etc. The camera quality is really good, the night vision is excellent and it’s very easily controlled. I love the two way audio, I can now speak to someone at my door from the other side of the world.
Great product and great price if you use the discount code.
I bought the bell and I am so pleased with it. Easy to install and I feel way safer able to see who is on my property. Would definitely recommend and the price is fantastic too.

Good quality product easy fit no wiring or drilling needed
I got it thinking it was easy installation, buy it needs electricty connected in order to work, not something i have at my front door.
This is easy to set up and great as it doesn’t need to be wired in. It’s great to be able to see who’s at the door and can be viewed on your phone.

Worked just as good at night with the camera too
Need a doorbell? How about a smart one?
So far, it’s working great. I’d recommend it.
