The WORX WX-JCR Slammer drill, is more than a standard combi or hammer drill. With a standard combi (hammer) drill, you can drill into masonry, but never into concrete.
With an SDS hammer drill, you can drill in masonry and concrete, but these types of tools are not as suited to drill in softer materials such as wood or metal.
The WORX Slammer Drill drills into wood, metal, plastic, masonry and concrete!!

The WORX WX-JCR Slammer Drill, is more than a standard combi or hammer drill. With the WORX Slammer Drill, there will be no DIY screwing and drilling work that you can’t do. You can drill without any problems through a wall and if you find a concrete beam, the Worx Slammer drill can deal with it.
The Active Impact technology makes it easy to drill into concrete (hardness C30/37), which is very difficult and time consuming for any other standard combi drill in the market (cordless or corded).

The Worx Slammer is an amazing tool it even beats my corded Bosch Hammer SDS drill hands down the power and ease at which it drills through material is blindingly fast such as concrete it is amazing, worx in my book is becoming one to watch witb the amazing but clever products they are bringing out, the only reason I bought this was because my old worx drill lasted 8 years nearly 9 and it had a hard life so I hope this one lasts as long too
Great product at good price. Provides good drilling power and is light to hold
I like the drill it feels professional a solid item works well. Every thing about it is good value for the money.
What really makes the difference is the slammer action. Its utterly insane how poerful the slammer action is! 10mm Bosch Professional masonary bit cut brick like its nothing. Faster than my main SDS drill!
I will say, there is a reason the Matika and Dewalt et.al. drills tend to come which higher capacity batteries. The 2Ah wont last very long if you are heavily loading the drill with big hole saws ect.
