Buscaba un teclado con un sonido genial ( quiz le faltaria un poquito mas de volumen) pero Yamaha no decepciona. Su linea sus teclado todo l hace que los principiantes quieran aprender mas!
I have had this for a week now and so far it is definitely a step up from the last piano I had from RockJam. The NP-12 is way superior to it in everyway and it also comes with a subscriptions for piano lesson. Also includes a 2 year warrantee. Yamaha really knows what they are doing.
eally good piano keyboard, no frills, bells and whistles, a basic instrument perfect for beginners.
My son has this for college, excellent quality, good price
This is ideal for beginners, has a beautiful sound and is amazingly value for money. This is not a toy. I bought it so I can still practice the piano on holiday in our UK cottage. I have a Yamaha digital piano at home and this one is just as good except it has 4 octaves. Just love it.
An excellent instrument for a beginner and useful beyond that. Only 8 built in sounds, but they are high quality (especially the 2 pianos) and it can be slaved to external compositional software and sound banks without too much fuss. 5 octaves, not 7, but you can do plenty with 5 (and remember the price point). Takes a sustain pedal too (not included).
What makes the Yamaha stand head and shoulders over the competition at this price is the key bed: It’s not as firmly weighted as a real piano, but it does have decent piano-like resistance, great touch sensitivity and a good ‘ebony/ivory’ feel to the finish of the keys. It is much better than most midi-keyboard/synths at 2 or even 3 times the price. Sound through the built in speakers is very acceptable for practice; put it through a PA or good headphones and it sounds excellent.
Highly recommended.
Great sound, decent for a beginners easily transported around. I have throughly enjoyed practicing on this set up.
This is a great choice for beginners but not only, very good sound and gives you a great feeling of the keys. I am not very knowledgeable about instruments but this instrument is brilliant for me, even better than I have expected. Thank you.
This was recommended tome by a piano teacher, and has lived up to expectations
I’ve had this item for a month now and I am loving it. I particularly like the key action which is much improved over the Yamaha keyboard I bought several years ago at a much higher price.
The volume level is a bit low but perfect for me to learn on without deafening others in the house. The limited range of sounds are adequate. The piano sounds are very credible but I would have liked more difference between the two organ sounds – they are both pipe organs and sound much the same..
This is a neatly constructed unit, compact and light. I love playing it.
Nice sound although volume could be louder. Looks good and lightweigh
Great keyboard. Great for beginners or people gradually improving, like myself. Metronome & deleting recordings could have been made a little simpler. Also, it says it is compatible with iPhone and iPad but it’s very hard to find a suitable cabel for this and the apps are very limited.
Bought this for my wife for christmas and she seriously hasn’t stopped playing since we got it.
Worth its weight in gold as she really pleased with it and she can actually make something which resembles music so every cloud!
I am a complete novice to pianos/keyboards and did an awful lot of research and reading before deciding on the Yamaha NP-12
I didn’t want to spend a fortune for my first foray into piano playing but I wanted to spend enough to get a good make and I consider Yamaha to be just that
I also looked at the PSR range of keyboards from Yamaha but decided I really didn’t have a need for 300+ voices and loads of different functions and buttons; I just wanted a good piano sound and the ability to record my playing and the NP-12 fitted my needs perfectly
As soon as I started using the NP-12 I knew I’d made the right choice. It’s so intuitive to use you don’t need the instructions unless you want to use some of the more in-depth settings, which I’ve had no need for
By choosing Yamaha you also get 3 months free Flowkey Premium app use. I installed Flowkey on my iPad and it’s a fantastic way of learning for a complete beginner. My iPad Pro sits perfectly, on it’s side, on the included music stand
To get Flowkey all you have to do is register your Yamaha and you are given a code to enter on the Flowkey site. When you register your Yamaha you also get 2 years warranty
As others have mentioned the NP-12 doesn’t have massive volume but it’s fine for me as I have lovely neighbours! I’ve also used headphones when it’s been a bit late at night to play through the speakers
I’ve only had it for a few days but already spent hours practicing on it using Flowkey as well as teaching myself, by ear, Beethoven’s Fr Elise and I’m loving it
If anyone is considering their first piano, or probably even for those that already play but want something light and portable, I can’t recommend the Yamaha NP-12 highly enough, it’s well made and just works so well and it’s from a well respected brand
Don’t hesitate in purchasing this Yamaha, it’s everything I needed. I’m super impressed with it and I think you will be too
This is not high end but as a starter electric piano it has everything you need.
Great for my 8 year old starting his piano lessons. It was to practice at home, but he’s now doing his lessons at home because on Zoom because of lockdown.
This is absolutely amazing. Cannot fault it.
Slick design, looks expensive, sounds beautiful, plays magic. Highly highly recommended. 5 stars.
Piano sound quality amazingly good, with volume varying with key pressure. 5 octaves plenty for 99% of music, especially with ability to transpose up/down by an octave. Harpsichord sound also excellent. No nonsensical features. No tuning needed!
Whilst it may only have 61 keys, this product is nothing short of perfect, especially for the price tag of a mere 185.00.
It’s lightweight, portable, and also battery powered, which makes it ideal for those who are travelling but still want to practice.
Being a newbie to piano/keyboard playing, I didn’t want to spend lots of money, nor did I want a bad/cheap sounding piano keyboard. If you also fall into my category, this is the one for you.
The sound is incredibly impressive and makes playing a joy. The keys are semi-weighted which really makes that difference when playing.
Overall, I am incredibly satisfied with this purchase – thanks Yamaha!
I bought this for my wife’s birthday and she loves i
It is a great keyboard for beginners. I am not a beginner myself but I was looking for something lightweight and cheap, and I am satisfied with it – its performance is good for its price. The sound quality is great and Yamaha’s quality is seen all over this keyboard. The sensitivity of the keys is a bit weird, it takes some time to get used to it, especially if you’ve been used to playing with weighted keys.
BOUGHT THIS FOR 19 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER’S XMAS PRESENT. DID A SH*TLOAD OF RESEARCH AND THIS ONE CAME OUT TOPS. NOT DISAPPOINTED.
I`m a complete beginner on keyboards, bought this because of the virus isolation and for study reasons (a Ph.D research thing)…
It sounds good and is fun to play. The touch sensitivity is useful (even though I read some reviews that say it is too much) as it really highlights the relative strengths of the fingers and raises awareness of the need to attend to the balance between them.
It`s also fun, in a not too distracting way: playing exercises as a harpsichord or organ sometimes still sounds nice and makes you think about musicality…
So far I love it, and feel, for the price, it’s a serious instrument, a bargain, and I look forward to playing it regularly.
It is a very good keyboard for my daughter to take ti Uni as she cant take her piano. It is touch sensitive and has 61 keys. The volume doesn’t go very high, I guess this will require extra speakers. Overall very happy with this and delivery considering the chaos was very prompt.
Wanted to learn piano.
This is perfect size for beginners.
No silly gimmicks, just some simple tones and full size keys.
The sound through the speakers is not great, but through headphones it is amazing, highly recommended.
For those worried apart the number keys available, everything I have learnt so far is within the range of the keys, and I am completely new to keyboard. I am following an online course on Udemy, and also trying a few videos from YouTube.
Bought for my seven year old son who is learning piano. We didn’t want a keyboard with lots of distractions like drum beats and a million different sound effects. This is perfect, it sounds beautiful, it looks beautiful and we’re really pleased with it.
1 star taken off because sound quality from speakers isn’t great, although it sounds good when wearing ear/headphones.
Got this for my 13 year olds Christmas. Its brilliant, sound quality is amazing.
We bought this model (NP12) which is a replacement for the NP11 we had had for over 5 years. The NP11 just stopped working. We tried to get it repaired but were told the repair cost would be greater than buying a new one. The NP11 has been replaced by the NP12 which has an additional, useful feature of being able to play back what you have just played.
I wanted to learn to play a keyboard. It was not so important that it had to be a piano so the lack of “hammer action” was not so important. The NP-32 has that feature if you want to pay a bit more. The keyboard on the NP-12 is not full size (only 66 keys) but again for me that did not matter as much as being portable. One of the best things is that you get 3 months free subscription to an app called flowkey. This app is brilliant and I am amazed how quickly I can play recognisable tunes with both hands. I also got the headphones so I could practise without annoying anybody else, but I haven’t got on to needing the sustain pedal yet. If you don’t have a suitable size and height table you will probably need the stand. This keyboard is highly recommended.
We all love this keyboard. It’s slick looking with amazing sound.
Lovely looking digital piano, very classy. Authentic sounds. Volume may not be enough for some but it’s great for playing at home, you do have the option to run it through a sound system if it’s a big issue for you. Super light, compact and very portable. Touch sensitivity is excellent. Extremely happy with it.
The keys aren’t weighted which suited us as portability/lightweight was a priority, this might be a downside for some however expect to pay a lot more for weighted keys.
Overall, exceptional value for money!
Bought for husband as a present.
He is a beginner and LOVES it.
Easy to use, easy to assemble and very straight forward.
Great sound quality.
Would recommend
Bought for my son as a first intro to playing the piano. It is much better quality and sound than I expected. A friend bought one after trying this. Very happy.
The piano sound was not quiet as good as the Hype. But a good all round first touch sensitive piano for learning on. Was brought for Grandson whom has been playing on a non sensitive keyboard. Have not yet brought pedal so cannot say what that is like. The adjustment settings did seem to increase the volume but I would have expected it to be loude
After intensive research, I thought this was a good buy. But when I received it and tried it, I immediately knew I was so wrong….
IT WAS THE BEST BUY
I have a piano back at home, and the way this keyboard’s touchweight was done, it felt very close to the real thing as though you can feel the hammer on the strings. Not to mention its sound quality, robust build, ease of use, and because it isn’t a full keyboard, it is very space-friendly!
Perfect for beginners or those who cannot afford a piano (be it the price tag and/or the space needed) but want to learn piano nonetheless.
Yamaha, you never fail to impress. Thank you for making music affordable at very high quality 🙂
After a lapse of some 60 years, my wife yearned to have a piano. In our small bungalow we had no room so I decide to buy her a keyboard for Christmas. After research on line and Utube, we bought the Alesis Recital Pro. This was the perfect instrument but too heavy and large and I had difficulty in just lifting it. So had to return and this is main reason I am glad to have purchased from Amazon. Returns are pain free. Next we looked for a smaller keyboard and settled for the Piagero from Yamaha.. This has proved a very good smaller alternative and easily handled by us both.
Bought to try and learn the piano so didn’t want to spend too much and impressed with the quality for the price. Has a nice sound to it.
Best purchase I had this year, hassle-free delivery and high quality product! Excited to enhance my piano skills.
Beautiful tool does every thing you would expect of Yamaha
I’m an amateur pianist that loves the great sounds of a Grand piano. It’s not the same, true, but its sound is pretty similar as one.
A really nice one to start with and to spend lots of hours playing it 🙂
Totally recommend it!!
My Kids piano teacher gave this model for her classes. The product arrived on time. The adapter to use on to the wall socket helped me in buying frequent batteries. My kid absolutely loves this piano. My next product P45 and as it was little expensive for my budget and I went for this model.Best piano to start with for the kids andfor beginners.
Did loads of research before choosing this one. Perfect for beginners, no frills and gimmicks to distract. Recommended
Outstanding quality much better than i expected, im just getting to grips with learning my for song. Very good value for the price, awesome piece of kit just wish it was a little louder.
I’m a beginner and been wanting to learn how to play. Really happy with this
I have just started to learn how to play the piano and this is great! I love the minimalist look it has and it isn’t covered with hundreds of different sounds which make no sense. It has a decent sound quality and the touch-sensitive keys are very responsive and make playing the piano have a nice feel.
Fantastic budget keyboard with good action for non weighted keys. My children use this at their school, so ideal insofar as not sacrificing touch and feel against a real piano at an early stage.
Volume could be a bit louder bit overall v happy with purchase.
Bought this keyboard for my children who are learning to play the piano. Wanted to get something simple (without too many buttons to distract them) and portable so we can pack away when needed. Fits the bill perfectly and they seem to enjoy playing on it. I’m not sure how long it will last before having to upgrade but is definitely perfect for now to see if they enjoy learning to play.
Sure I think it’s great. It looks sleek, has only a few buttons, and plays fine. But for 160, I really do wonder what justifies the price tag. It’s cheap plastic everywhere, and the keys feel hollow. As I’m just starting, sure this will help me learn a good 90% of what I need to learn.
Great beginners piano, easy to set up and use. Sound quality is good
I bought this for my daughter who is learning the piano and she finds it a joy to play. The tones across the keyboard sound beautiful. The full size keys are weighted like a real piano and are responsive and easy to play. It’s the closest thing I’ll have to having an actual concert hall piano in my tiny house.
Other sounds or voices with this are an organ, electric piano, strings, harpsichord. All sound very accurate.
We haven’t tried it with a sustain foot pedal but the sustained notes produced by just playing, sound wonderful.
The only improvement i would make is aligning the volume on some of the instruments – the organ and harpsichord are noticeably louder than the piano, which can be a little unsettling when switching instruments.
Other points to note; it has a metronome and the tempo can be adjusted with up/down arrow keys, however there is no number indication of the tempo you arrive at.
You can record a single track of music and play over the top of your recording with any of the instruments available.
Overall this is great value for money for the quality of the piano sound, the quality of the build and realistic key action. Nice job yamaha, this will do just nicely.
+ Very nice piano in general, very happy with my purchase
+ 61 touch sensitive keys
+ Good volume. I read some reviews and they were complaining that the sound was too low, but it’s good for me to play in a medium-sized room with a small public. It is obviously for playing at home, so if you want to take it out to play in public you might want to get speakers
+ Doesn’t have all the fancy buttons but I don’t think they’re necessary anyway. Does the primary: volume control, 10 different voices, recording option and metronome. Maybe it even has additional features that I haven’t worked out yet.
– The only negative thing I have to say is that the low notes on the voice Piano 1 make the speakers vibrate a bit, which isn’t super nice, but if you play with other voices the vibration is gone.
In general, very happy.
(After 1 month). The sound is good, the keys feel good, the controls are clear and easy to use, the unit is very lightweight but stays in position without retaining straps. Not tried so far: connecting a sustaining pedal, connecting to a computer, running on batteries. Possible limitations (which do not matter to me): no complex facilities for creating multi-instrument recordings, only 8 “voices”, can store only one recording at a time. (It’s more an electric piano than a mulit-purpose keyboard.)
I am delighted with this purchase. It is not a keyboard but an electric piano with different piano sounds. It is exactly what I wanted to improve and brush up my piano skills as I no longer have the room for an upright. It sounds good. Some reviewers say it is too quiet, but this suits me perfectly. My only moan, and a very slight one, is that the sheet music holder could do with an arm or peg to keep the music at the desired page. Inexpensive and great piano sound.
This is brilliant , great sound and great value. It’s perfect for those that only want the piano and not all the mixers etc.
Although well in my fifties, I’ve just started piano lessons for the first time. There was (and remains) the possibility that I turn out to completely suck at playing piano -so there was no way I was going to invest in a truly “serious” keyboard, not until I knew I could stick to the lessons and skill-up to an appropriate lesson. So I got this: definitely a beginner’s keyboard, with few frills or fancies, but with an agreeably low price. Should the piano lessons go nowhere, I can stick this up in the loft and never use it again with a clear conscience!
It does what it says it will do on the tin. It has a nice keyboard action, though it’s not ‘weighted’ so that when I eventually go to lessons, the ‘heaviness’ of the teacher’s keyboard takes me by surprise and throws everything I thought I’d practice into a cocked hat for a good ten minutes until I manage to re-adjust. The piano sound is convincing; the harpsichord sound makes for a nice change.
Only one criticism, though it’s not really the product’s fault as it makes it perfectly clear ahead of time that it’s not an 88-key keyboard: if you want to play Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, you will find it’s missing the required bottom Bs and G#s. Nothing playing an octave up won’t fix, of course… but then it doesn’t sound right! In other words, “short keyboards” are fine to start out on, but you may well find out sooner rather than later that those bottom and top octaves you’re not getting *do* end up being something you wish you had!
But that’s compromises for you! Here, you’re paying relative peanuts for an excellent product that has inevitable physical limitations. Still an excellent way to try out piano without over-committing yourself in my view.
As a beginner I was looking for a keyboard with a brand name I could trust. I spent many hours looking at reviews and I was not dissaponted.
Great sound, keys are really nice to press and feels and looks top quality. I play for an hour each day and I love it.
Just unwrapped this as it is a Christmas present for my grandson so I thought I’d better check all was ok. What a great little keyboard tried it myself and can only describe as really grea
Been using this piano for a few months now and I am more than pleased with it. It’s not full of buttons and functions that you will never use, it only has what you need. It looks nice and sleek, great colours. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because it sometimes sounds out of tune for some reason, and the keys are a little plasticy when compared with proper weighted keys, but otherwise great keyboard, would highly recommend as a gift or for beginners.
This is my first time playing a digital piano and NP-12 is great (previously played Upright piano). Quality is very good compared to the price. White colour is so nice as well. Delivery is before the expected date so I can enjoy the piano earlier 🙂
I have bought this piano as a beginner, and so far am enjoying it. Very good deal.
The Yamaha Piaggero NP12 keyboard seemed to tick all the boxes for me. I wanted to re-kindle my love for piano playing without spending a fortune .I was looking for a keyboard that features piano style keys, and has a good piano sound and feel. The Yamaha provides this. It is not without its small annoyances ,like no digital display of metronome tempo and transpose key for instance, but I can live with that. All in,very pleased with my purchase and would recommend the keyboard.
Superb keyboard. Neither paying too much for things you don’t need, nor cheapo with lots of buttons and effects for kids.
Excellent starter keyboard. Decent sound from the two speackers – more than loud enough for me. The piano sound is very good and the keyboard response decent. There are a few cheesey organ sounds if you like that sort of thing too. The middle ‘C’ isn’t quite in the middle of the keyboard which is a little strange. I usually octave shift down an octave to allow for more lower notes. Very good value instrument – at the time of purchashing 100 less than the 76-key NP-32 (the same piano with more keys). Would definitely recommend if you’re happy with 61 unweighted keys. Doesn’t come with a sustain pedal so you’ll need to get one of those separately (don’t get the crappy little Yamaha FC5 one!)
Awesome instrument for its cost range. It has a simple design that allows me to focus on what is important for learning. As a beginner, I find it most helpful
Taking up the piano, and this is just simple and effective.
Best keyboard for a beginner that wants something that is as close to a real piano as possible. Heavy keys, with a great sound.
My 10 year old uses this to practice at home and its been exactly what she needed.
I’m absolute beginner to keyboards/piano.
A friend of me recommended this because it has many sounds effect including pianos.
Some basic keyboards don’t give piano sound.
I really like it and would recommend if you’re a beginner like me.
I ordered in the color, white. I’m happy about it too.
Great keyboard just learning how to play and l am so pleased with i
Simple & Beautiful design. As a beginner, I am loving it!
Not a lot to say about this really besides an amazing setup for my six year old girl who wants to start learning the keyboard/piano.
I purchased this electronic piano with a stand and seat at a brilliant price. It also comes with a book stand and a connection for headphones. The sound is spot on and the whole family love having a play with this.
Overall I am really please with this purchase and would definitely recommend this product to others.
Lovely Keyboard for my daughter to start off with, perfect….
Works perfectly.
Sounds is clear, if you want to hook-up your 3.5mm earphones then you can do directly, no need for any adaptors.
Nice key press.
Got a few different tones which is nice but I personally don’t use them.
The power lead is a bit small in length.
I am a professional musician and I use this keyboard when travelling to different locations to run workshops and lead choirs.
It is very portable and easy to set up. It comes with a music stand and can be run from mains power or batteries.
The only thing I would improve about this instrument is the volume/output.
Although the speaker sound is adequate in a regular size room it isn’t loud enough for larger spaces or churches. Particular when people are singing. However it can be plugged into external speakers via the headphone socket, so I work around it by bringing a portable speaker.
I have had this for over a year and use it 3 times a week for workshops, and it gets used at home between times.
A good investment for both amateur and pro on the move.
Absolutely amazing. I learnt to play piano as a 9 year old boy and went to the royal northern college of music. Took exams too. I’ve used midi synths since then with Reason on my Mac. I was looking for an electric piano this time that has awesome sounds but could be connected via usb and still used as a midi controller. This does the trick. The internal sounds are beautiful, and it plays really well. The keys aren’t heavy like real piano keys so don’t expect huge heavy keys. The keys don’t feel cheap though. The speakers aren’t very loud but that’s great because I’m not the best piano player YET so not want my wife’s ear drums to take a battering You can shift octaves, adjust reverb on each sound and even record / play back any ideas you get. I bought a foot pedal for around 15 and it fits / works perfectly. Has a headphone socket too and even takes AA batteries. Comes with sheet music stand also. Highly recommended
This is a really good keyboard. The sound is awesome, it has semi-weighted keys and I think it’s a great choice for people starting out because it doesn’t take up as much space as a full scale one. I did have to remove a star because the volume knob fell off somehow. Not sure how that happened but I can still control the volume setting, it just looks a little less in quality. Overall, very happy with my purchase.
I really like this, a very sturdy instrument, Definitely a best buy. I like the fact that there are no “tons of unnecessary sound effects etc” sounds absolutely incredible using a high quality pair of headphones. and of course the three months free use of Flowkey, which is also great. overall great valve for money. definitely five stars…
White look very nice ,bit bigger that I’m expected ,good sound ,perfect for 13 years old daughter ,she was so happy with it!
So pleased with this.tone much better than expected.prompt delivery too.
Good quality starter electronic piano. The sound is good quality but it is not very loud so we have to turn the volume up quite high.
Sounds beautiful, feels beautiful, LOOKS beautiful. I’m so in love with this digital piano.
For its value, it does what it is supposed to do.
Yamaha NP12 Digital Piano – Black
Great sound and product quality, ideal for beginners.
I bought mine direct for the Yahama Store and an very happy with it. I spent hours comparing the feel of this (non weighed keys) to the P45 (weighted keys), asked the staff questions etc. I am a beginner pianist wishing to learn to sight-read esp. to assist me in my choir but with no plans to buy an acoustic piano. I chose this because (a) It is cheaper (b) it is lighter (c) it is smaller esp for storage (d) I am a beginner and 61 keys will be quite enough for my first year as I aspire to grade 1 or 2 standard (e) importantly I didn’t buy into the urge for weighted keys. Though the P45 felt “real”, I don’t see why it is any more relevant to a beginner who may well end up veering towards keyboards rather than pianos. Weighted keys are great if you want to play a real acoustic but at this stage it is something I am not planning on. The NP12 keys are light and functional but what I want is to be able to sight-read as opposed to be an aspiring acoustic pianist; and they serve me well. If you are not a beginner or plan to play acoustic piano then the P45 may be more suited to you.
I love my new piano. It’s great for someone like me who is just learning to play.
Sleek design and no unnecessary add-ons. Just the basic functions and a few alternative sounds such as harpsichord , organ etc.
I liked the fact that Yamaha provided me with three months online tuition as well.
Very happy with this, I ordered the white one and it looks phenomenal. The touch sensitive keys really give you the sense that you are playing on a real piano. The sound quality is good. Would definitely recommend.
Sound dial doesn’t seem to work so it’s not very loud
Bought this for my son’s birthday he is very pleased with i
Love it. Ideal for my return venture into playing music again. Looks good, but be aware it is sleek and narrow, most stands are too wide.
Great keyboard. Really does sound like a good piano. I am absolutely delighted also with it’s recording facility as it acts as a great teaching aid.
Great piano,I love it. Sounds just like a real piano and great value for money. Would definitely recommend!
