Exceedingly easy to fit. Complete kit in which every part worked as it was supposed to do.
when I receved these items I was sceptical that it would be sturdy enough, but I went ahead and fitted them, and they are good, the wood has a nice feel and size, I was slightly disappointed that the covers for the lower part of the bracket didn’t stay in place, but I just used a little blue tac and that was solved. I briefly considered changing the screws at the top of the bracket for countersunk ones, but after fitting the originals I didn’t find any problem with the dome head ones, so they stayed, all in all these have greatly improved my mothers life as she can’t walk too well and these have helped, they look nice, feel nice and will last a long time, good quality
A certain amount of care was needed to make sure the two brackets were fitted centrally on the handrail, and this could have been made easier by having pre-drilled positions for the screws. Fixing the brackets to the wall was simple, and the result is excellent. I am using the handrail outdoors.
Well it appears to be solid oak, I am quite handy so putting it up wasn’t a problem, I have got breeze block walls so the fixings and screws are adequate, there was some minor scratching to one side of the rail,but other than that i am very pleased, the rail is very sturdy and I’m considering getting another one for further down the stairs .
