Product arrived on time, I assembled it pretty easily, a few screws to hold sides in place, and put wheels on, but the rear section that goes around the gas bottle seems way too big to do any good and was a bit fiddly to get in place. But it came with a screwdriver and spanner so didn’t have to find tools! Seems to put out a nice amount of heat even on the first setting. Not sure if we will go through the process of taking it apart again to store over summer, but it’s a nice idea to save space and shouldn’t take long to do.
I have only tried this heater out briefly but was impressed at how easy it was to operate and it gave out plenty of heat. It is easy to lift and move without the gas cylinder fitted but with it fitted it naturally is much heavier to shift so it is best to position the heater where you want it before coupling up the gas cylinder.
Bought this for my caravan as I’ll be living in it over the winter, What a heat this gives off its fantastic, good build quality, I’m using the biggest cylinder it takes 15kg fits well, When using the 15kg cylinder don’t plan in moving it around as it’s very heavy, Great item, very happy with this purchase.
Very much the same as other gas heaters of the same type – thankfully. Using sensibly it provides an excellent backup for when there is a power cut.
There were no assembly instructions given, just a leaflet stating some details about things I wasn’t too sure about. Fortunately, I’m able to research the relevant information about gas codings etc and so felt confident in knowing that I was doing the right thing.
Assembly proved easy, once you sat and looked at what you were given. Might be different if there happened to be a screw missing, because you’d never know.
Once up and running- you have to burn it off outside before using indoors – the heater proved very effective, the ceramic plates proving very efficient.
WORD OF WARNING: Make sure you have the relevant gas bottle before ordering, as you cannot currently buy a new one. You can only get ones you already have refilled. This has led to a boom in second hand bottles, which can be vastly overpriced.
With the worry of high heating Bill’s, we decided that a calor gas heater would solve the heating in autumn where you need a bit of heat mornings and evening but it’s not worth putting the central heating on. However I feel a foot note about the difficulty in obtaining a full calor gas bottle if you have not got an empty one to exchange.

Heats up a room quickly, we use it in our shed

Cabinet is smaller than my old one. The gas bottle “hangs out the back” looks untidy, but functional.
I’m disproportionately irritated by the brand label on the front face – not shown on the Amazon pictures.
