This ring light is amazing, i’ve had it for just over a month now.
The stand is very sturdy, adjusted smoothly, it doesn’t have that cheap plastic feel and just feels solid and good quality.
It produces good amount of light, enough for my casting self-tapes and audition videos. Although if you are going to use the light as a photography equipment you might need something a bit more powerful.
The RGB option is great, when not in use it just stands there as a colourful lamp, which looks great 🙂
The angle is adjustable and once fixed in a position it feels very secure.
It has USB slot at the back, so you can charge your phone while recording videos, which is super convenient.
The only thing i bought separately was a flexible phone holder, as i just prefer flexible ones. It fits perfectly.
I did a lot of research here on amazon, and even ordered 2 other lights before but had to return them as they weren’t right.
One of them was a cheap multi-colour ring light for like 30, which was not powerful enough. The 2nd one was Neewer ring light for 80. It was a bit brighter than this one, but it had these terrible plastic stick-on filters that had to be put on the light manually in order to regulate the warmth of light, it didn’t have RGB colours, and it was not sturdy and secure enough, the ring part fell on me once as i was recording.
This ring light doesn’t have any of these flaws and costs the same.
So definitely I think Samtian 20″ RGB Ring Light is the best one in this price category.
I’m new to streaming and everyone told me to get ring lights that are bigger than 6″. So looking at prices etc I chose these 20″ mains powered ring lights. They are fantastic!
Very easy to assemble but make sure you have some room for them ( I had to move my desk quite far from the wall to place them). They have their on/off button in the front, easy to place the light in the direction needed, super-powerful light with adjustments on the clamp area ( you can put your camera there). The adjustments are the power of the light and if you want a more cool or warm tone.
I definitely didn’t need this much power but comparing the price and quality with other smaller options, this was a great buy. Now my streams are clear with consistent light.

The ring light is easy enough to use and there are multiple modes you can choose from when using it. There is an app included and also a remote where the functions can all be controlled which works quite well. There is an RBG light built into this as well so you got plenty of colours you can choose from when in use. Brightness levels are good and for youtube videos or even just photos you take for yourself, it works great. There is a stand included as well so you are all good to go out of the box.
So far this light has been perfect for my YouTube video. The setup was simple. It is perfect! I use this to take personal photos of my clothing, and it works phenomenally! I love the different colors to do different effects, and it has a little button that connects via Bluetooth so I can press the button to take the picture.

Ideal support for getting perfect professional image quality from home.
It came with triangle stand, stand look small but ones extended I was pleasantly surprised , it can reach from 25″ upto max 78″ which is much more than what I max so far used but good to have for future.
Also came with nice looking remote control, which needed 2 aaa size batteries. From remote control I can choose variety of colours, adjust brightness and colour saturation. This 2 aaa size batteries included in box which I found very thoughtful as not always included and I end up using my own rechargeable batteries.
Also possible to download its own application which allows from mobile to change colours and brightness without using remote control.
Ring itself wide and quite bright, does a big difference. It also has mobile holder which expands large enough to hold my max model phone as well.
Overall great colour adjustable ring light which helps me get professional pictures at home.
Being an amateur photographer I dreamed of acquiring this kind of quality lamp. This one does the job well and its adaptable brightness is perfect and allows to adapt to many situations. It is possible to adjust the white balance and colour. It all looks sleek and professional. The remote control works well and is very responsive. Good job.
Ok so I bought this ring light for my daughter and wife who are both driving me crazy with making online videos and tutorials and always twisting about the lighting.
This ring light is amazing. It is a nice big size that gives off an excellent temperature light. Yiu get a lovely remote control too so you can adjust things like the colour, brightness and warmth and turn it on or off.
The included stand/tripod is a thing of beauty. Its very sturdy and offers great supports for the ring light. You get good solid attachments for your phone/camera too which work exactly as you would expect them too.
Overall I am very very happy with this ring like as the build quality and performance has surpassed my expectations. The only problem now is my wife and daughter no longer want to use the older smaller ring light so It looks like I will have to buy another one of these.
With so many ring lights to choose from on Amazon, it was difficult finding one that had all the bells and whistles that my daughter asked for, thankfully after some scrolling I came across this beauty.
The SAMTIAN ring light has so many features that it would take me all day to compile them into a list, but the few that stood out the most to me were the intuitive app which allows you to change the brightness and colour temperature, and the ability to use the light with a DSLR.

Its perfect and so easy to put together and dismantle. And very easy to store. Love that you can increase brightness and change from cool to warm light.
The ring light is easy to assemble and works fine. However, I am not impressed with the quality of the bluetooth AB shutter. Mine was dead after very light use.

Decent performance from the light, size and brightness both good.
Tripod is quite weak in the legs, thin metal that wobbles and the clasp pivot for the ring light seems like it may at some point buckle under the upper weight.
I would not say the light is fully worth the price tag but it is so far (two months of usage) worthy of the upgrade from my previous ring light.
Gives out a good amount of light and is great fun to experiment with. I also love the design as it doesn’t take up much space at all! The light does a great job and the alloy stand is pretty solid

I brought this light to do video tutorials for my business.
When it arrived I was so excited to get it out and try it. I was not disappointed this is brilliant. It was really easy to put together and come with a long power lead. The phone holder is really sturdy but you do have to do the screws up tight.
So impressed, highly recommend. Can’t wait to get filming.

C’tait pour offrir et il fallait absolument qu’on puisse mettre une camera dessus. Les informations sur la page n’taient pas claires mais l’clairage a bien un socle pour installer une camra et un autre pour y mettre un tlphone. la camra est bien stable sur son support.
Le rendu est clairement bon, avec ou sans, cela fait une diffrence majeure.
S’installe rapidement. Pied rglable. Il y a une housse de protection pour emballer le tout. Le prix est trs honnte.
A voir l’usage sur le long terme mais la personne qui je l’ai offerte tait contente. Bonne ide de cadeau!

Cet clairage en forme d’anneau a l’air de bonne qualit, il est livr avec 2 types de filtres blanc et jaune, une alimentation et un sac de transport qui est trs sympa.
Pour le montage, c’est rapide, il suffit de passer les barres du trpied dans l’autre sens et de fixer l’anneau, le support est rglable et on peut le monter trs haut.
L’clairage est trs bon, il est vraiment lumineux, les photos ainsi que les vidos rendent bien, il y’a aussi une fonction Bluetooth.
Je l’utilise pour les photos mais aussi pour clairer mon garde robe, l’effet est impeccable, j’en suis trs content.
Anneau led avec trpieds au top j en ai une pour la maison que j avais achet beaucoup plus chre mais m en fallais une autre pour mes prestation chez mes clients car la luminosit est pas toujours au top et c’est vraiment sans regret ! Celui ci est aussi performant que le prcdent rglable en plusieur position et le best reste quand mme la manette de transport c’est assez impressionnant une fois ranger dans la sacoche de transport elle ne prend pas du tout de place se sui est un vritable plus.
I am reviewing the lens mounted 8 inch Samtian ring as pictured (not the 18 inch that appears to have been wrongly reviewed by others here)… I bought this is 2017, and my review then is below, but since, I lost three of the rings which wasn’t a problem until I bought new lenses and then I didn’t have the size – I emailed to Yeeteem in China and within 3 weeks they sent me from
Chinathree replacement adapter rings at their cost (even though I offered to pay).. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER TWO YEARS – MAXIMUM RESPECT AND THANKS- here is my review from 2017:. I have a lot of respect for Chinese electronics, having been to China and met the people and understood how it is our specification for “cheap” and our desire to pay as little as possible that determines what they produce and likewise affects our perception of their ability to produce quality items (I like to remember that the iphone is made in China). So I often take a punt on electronics like this and in this I am more than happily satisfied – the price is right to allow you to see if this is right for what you want, but more importantly it works and works well. It also has, which I don’t remember seeing in the advertisement, a stand-shoe for the control unit meaning you can have the light source at a different location to the camera. It is cheap plastic in build and fragile so you need to handle it with respect, with care, and realise that if you do manhandle it the buttons will break, or the threads on the rings will easily tear. The sprung cable is heavier and stronger than all the rest of it put together, but I cannot fault it for value for money – a superb bit of kit that does what is says (we use it on an E-volt Olympus E-410 and althought one of the reviews here says the flash doesn’t work, it does on our camera). It also usefully illuminates up to about six feet away, again contradicting some of the comments I have read about LED flash units. I would expect the batteries to run down quite quickly using it in permanently switched on mode, but for only 23 outlay and free next day delivery on Prime I don’t think I can fault it.
I ordered Samtian light to use it for achieving flawless photos of my make up work. Delivery was prompt and I couldn’t wait to set it up. It is a very bright light with the option to dim. The light comes with a phone holder and I can not wait to test it when creating make up looks. It is very compact and I managed to fit all parts in the bag provided. Very happy so far!!!

Really brilliant ring light, very bright, great for videos. Only thing I worry about is that if I’m not careful it will topple over as doesn’t always feel the sturdiest but still great value for money!

Le kit est trs complet : le pied, le ring avec des cache blancs et des caches orangs pour varier la temprature de la lumire, et des petits accessoires, dont une tlcommande Bluetooth. Rigolo pour utiliser avec un smartphone…
Dans une pice bien claire, c’est un bon ajout pour faire de la vido. Sinon, accompagn de flashes, l’anneau de lumire fera un joli effet dans les yeux du modle.

Une clairage vraiment au top et constant, ont peut modifier l’intensit c’est juste parfait et fourni avec des cache orange pour modifier la couleur pour d’autre vido ou photo diffrente, l’halo lumineux est vraiment grand, pour l’intrieur comme pour l’extrieur c’est juste niquel.
Ya aussi une tlcommande Bluetooth connecter votre tlphone ou appareil photo/camra pour dclencher distance soit des photos ou vidos.

Suite plusieurs discutions avec des streameurs, je me suis donc mis la recherche d’un anneau lumineux.
Je suis plus que satisfait du rsultat, a change la vie de ne plus avoir un teint ple ou pixlis.
Le second avantage est qu’il amliore mon incrustation en streaming avec mon fond vert et c’est un vrai plus.
Pour ce qui est du ring light il supporte aussi bien l’appareil photo (j’ai un Lumix), smartphone ou la webcam.
L’ensemble respire la qualit et l’clairage amliore vraiment nos photos et vidos.
De plus, on peut rgler l’intensit des leds l’arrire de l’anneau ce qui est top.
A noter que le trpied du ring led est trs robuste pour supporter le poids de nos appareils et ne bouge pas d’un poil, mme lorsqu’on l’incline au plus bas plus de 2 mtres de haut.
Avantages :
– Trs bon clairage
– Trpied robuste
– Facilement dmontable
– Cl Bluetooth pour dclencher les photos distance
Inconvnients :
– Pas de housse pour le trpied

Non il primo accessorio low cost che compro per ampliare il mio kit fotografico, ed infatti anche questa volta sono rimasto enormemente soddisfatto dalla qualit e dall’effetto finale di tali attrezzature. Prezzo che non si avvicina nemmeno alla met dei prodotti pi costosi e di “marca”. Sono felice! Inoltre nel kit compreso anche un telecomando bluetooth per scattare da remoto e un adattatore filettato orientabile. Che dire, per poche decine di euro non avrei potuto chiedere di pi! E voi l’effetto che proietta negli occhi…. da urloooo!!!

It came the next day thank you to prime, and the package was securely packed. You even get a bag to store it all in when it’s not in use!
It’s a very simple set up, making it quick when you’re out on location. However, you do need a power source (this isn’t a problem whatsoever really – would just be nicer with a battery source..)
You can easily dim up and down the brightness of the ring light, adjusting it to the perfect amount of light on the subject.
I recommend this to everybody who wants to get into filming and taking photos with a nice bright light to make the foreground sharper and clearer!

This light is a great halfway house between expensive professional equipment and affordable lighting options.
It’s very simple to use, just a single rotary control which will turn it on and control the brightness of the light and it also comes with it’s own low voltage power supply.
Also included in the kit is the tripod, a set of warm diffusers, a smart phone bracket and a bluetooth shutter controller. It also comes in a carry bag that can store everything except the tripod.
I’m unlikely to use the warm diffusers (though never say never) but everything else is a very welcome addition.
The phone mount allows you to fix the phone into the center of the ring to optimise the lighting spread. The shutter control means you do not have to touch the phone to take your images which cuts down the chance of blurring caused by movement of the phone.
The tripod has great flexibility for height adjustment and along with the shutter control means you can get some interestingly angled shots. I worked out that you can get the phone camera up to around 2+ meters in height. The tripod is a little top heavy at that point so great care is needed not to tip it over. Some leg tweaking is advised to get the greatest amount of stability.
The light itself has an ideal amount of fill in for me though I may possibly get another one later to even out the lighting even more (although space is of a premium at the moment).
An affordable solution for me.
So helpful lamp for the work i am doing . The light is so bright, makes pictures so beautiful and it has a place to put the phone too. Stand is so stabil, it does not move anywhere and has a long cable so you can move it easily . Will recommend it !!
