Was hoping, after reading various reviews, that this unit would be able to have my mix of Reolink and Annke cameras happily working together on one unit.
I already have the Reolink NVR, but it doesn’t play nice with the Annke, so I took the plunge and bought the Annke NVR.
Unfortunately, it’s not a viable option for Reolink cameras, mainly due to the Reolink firmware on their cameras I’m sure, but not good for me.
My Reolink PTZ camera only worked with ONVIF, but after a couple of hours it develops a lag, which means moving the camera is very awkward. The picture also stutters as well, so not good.
However, with the Annke camera, it’s perfect. Great interface, great picture quality via it’s HDMI port, and good connectivity for POE.
If I was doing this all over again, I’d likely not buy the Reolink cameras and go for the Annke only…
I use this product to record 24/7 cctv from Sunba camera at entrance of Park Home Site, and up to now it is performing very well
Easy to assemble and connect. Then it gets tricky. The NVR works best with my two newish (non Annke) onvif cameras, but struggles with older non h264 or h265 cameras. It also irritatingly shifts their IP addresses up to 192.168.254.xx and overwrites their settings. Try moving them to anything else and it comes up with a NIC conflict. It takes several goes until accepting that it’s supposed to record all channels and not just the the first two. The Annke vision app also struggles with the older onvif cameras. The simultaneous recording and viewing works OK with a WD purple drive.
Customer service is excellent, with an immediate response.
Annke cameras work fine. Simply plug and play.

Easy to set up, cameras can be plugged in anywhere on the network, not just in the ports on the rear. I have a seperate PoE switch at the other side of my house and a couple of cameras plugged into that and they are configured to recorder on the NVR. I even have an ebode ipv58p2p PTZ 1080p camera and it records from that no problem, and also gives me full control the PTZ. App is a bit laggy when trying to play back recorded footage, but suspect that’s the android app as when using the PC app I have no issue. I bought the NVR with no hard drive and fitted my own which was very simple and worked out cheaper.

The basic setup of the NVR was straight forward but I had a small problem when connecting the cameras, only one of the two was detected. Quick email to customer support solved that issue. They recommended connecting the cameras before activating the NVR.
Instruction manual instructs you to scan the QR code on the product during setup the process. I was looking for a square QR code but could not find one. Just needed to scan the serial number barcode instead.
Both cameras now working correctly and after downloading the Annke vision app I can monitor each camera when away from home.
I’m so happy with the 4K image quality even when zoomed in and the sound quality is so good I can hear birds chirping.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Annke to anyone looking for a security camera system.
Great value for money. Used to set up continuously recording home security system, used in conjunction with annke C800 bullet camera. Fantastic technical support resolving any issues you may encounter. Great picture quality and coverage both day and night. Seamless interface with supporting software to view via either PC or mobile phone.
The unit was small and neat, fitting the hard drive was simple, all the cables and screws are in the box. It took a little while to initialise the drive, and then I followed the setup wizard added 2 C800 8mp cameras and in about 15 mins had a working setup. Not bad. The picture quality was impressive, and getting the android Annke Vision app working was painless. Browsing the camera on the local lan with my browser was not possible. I use Chrome and although I did try to get it working, the plug-in didn’t work. That loses the system a point. Altogether a pretty good system for the money.
This NVR has all the specs af a more expensive make. I had no problems installing four different of ipcams, two with PTZ. Unfortunately on two of them I cannot set up motion recording, but I’m using my cams on continuous recording anyway.
Brilliant DVR at a sensible cost, noting the drive is not included. Fitting the drives is simple with two fixing points

If you want a 4K 8ch PoE NVR, you will not be disappointed with it. Worth the money, Annke speaks for itself
