This purchase is a Christmas present, the box that it came in looked really nice on the front with the picture of the house itself, however the backside and the sides of the box to look a little bit Dusty from the factory, but everything on the inside was covered with a plastic film and was in perfect condition, be mindful the box is pretty big, it’s roughly 2 feet and a half in measurement. It’s a great gift and I recommend it to anyone who is looking to purchase! I hope this helps!
After seeing this toy in person, I now understand the price, the thing is HUGE and comes with so much. It was easy to put together, and I was very impressed with all of the stickers and parts like the couches, oven, dog etc. It is tall as well, and I appreciated that the space that my kid will have to play with her dolls. The small details are what make this worthwhile, the fact that the toilet makes a flush, and that you can play “inside” the house and “outside” the house is really great.
OMG this thing needs its own space! Its massive! My daughter loves it. I purchased it last Christmas and she doesn’t only use barbies with it. She uses her LOL dolls or whatever. Again, this thing is HUGE. We store it in the corner of the playroom, but when she wants to play with it (all around it), the house needs to be pulled to the center of the room. The house has access all around it for various play scenarios so, if you dont have the space, you can only play with a part of it. PS it took 3 rolls of wrapping paper to wrap this thing assembled.
My daughter absolutely loves this. I bought it during lockdown to keep her occupied whilst I tried to work. It worked a treat. Easy to assemble. Be warned it is very large and takes up a lot of space !
Somewhat pricy but worth every penny for the joy it brought. One of the features that she enjoyed most was the elevator. Sound effects were great, just wish there were more.
One feature I did not like was that the pool is on the second level whereby water slashes everywhere. Would have cooler if it could have attached to the side on the exterior of house.
The back of the house was a pleasant little surprise. I highly recommend purchasing. BTW best to kitty corner to save space and enjoy from different angles.
I bought this for my daughter as a birthday gift, she loved it and was very excited to have it. The house itself is big, beautiful, sturdy and easy to put together. The only problem were the instructions, which it was a little difficult to understand because the pieces don’t have any numbers to identify them, but once you see the images and compare them you’ll easily figure out how they goes. And the main reason I don’t give this a 5 stars rating is, cause it arrived broken… and it wasn’t because of delivery mismanagement cause the box came intact… almost like I’d picked it up myself, it seemed to be more of a factory mismanagement issue.

Omg this house is massive!!!!! Its amazing but it is big!!! Its taller and wider than my 49″ TV. We brought it for our daughters 5th birthday as she asked for a dolls house, it’s a beautiful house with lots of accessories and lots of room for great interactive and imaginative play. My husband ordered the house from amazon and got it slightly cheaper but it was still over 200.00. For any barbie fan then this is great. Our daughter loves it, but it’s a lot of money, is it worth the over 200 price tag!? No, I don’t think so. Not because it’s no good, because in truth it is great fun and comes with lots of accessories, some interactive and its quite sturdy and strong and it’s big but for a lot of plastic which it is essentially, its a lot of money you’re parting with. The one gripe I do have is that it doesn’t even come with a barbie doll! Don’t be fooled and underestimate yourself like I did, I didn’t realise its quite big! We now have to rearrange our daughters room to store it somewhere. All in all I like it, my daughter loves it, I just don’t love the price we paid for for it and I think it should be cheaper but she is happy so I guess that’s all that matters. Its a fabulous dream house though!

My niece absolutely loved it, everything fit together well very easily and all the rooms are nice & spacious. Personally for me I think a few more pieces of furniture would of been nice as certain rooms seem unrealistic but that is solely just my opinion! As long as the niece likes it that’s all that matters.

Abbiamo avuto un problema perch mancava un pezzo, ma abbiamo accordato con Amazon il reclamo e risolto quindi tenuto la casa. Il prodotto valido, ingombrante… attenzione agli spazi. Sempre belli gli accessori e come disposta,unica cosa che lo scivolo davvero enorme ed a tratti fino un surplus, bench il bello del tutto perch potendo mettere l’acqua nella piscina sottostante le bimbe si divertono. Ma tanto x dire, in questi gg l’abbiamo tolto… perch non potevano appoggiare al muro della cameretta perch fuoriesce e prende spazio. Comunque se si tratta di bimba che adorano le barbie l’acquisto non sar inutile, bench il prezzo ritengo sia sempre un po’eccessivo.

My 5 year old is completely obsessed with her Barbie dream house! It has so many little cool options for her with sounds and even the furniture can be changed to look like different things to help her change it up and not become bored (i.e. couch turns into bunk bed, etc). The only con I would say is the size of the house, but it’s only a con for me because I had a hard time finding the right spot for it in her room. It is definitely NOT a con for her as she is so happy with it and loves the huge size. Definitely recommend!

My 5 year old daughter absolutely loves this Barbie house. Shes played with it everyday since shes had it. About 2 months now. I did think it was expensive but its so big and there’s so much to do its well worth it. My daughter now collects extra bits for the house you can get like the picnic table, hammock, bbq sets avaliable to buy on amazon too. Loads of fun. My daughter loves the swimming pool and slide on this house. She’s always playing with that.
Removing the wrapping from all the pieces was at times annoying, but I made that part of the experience for my kids who enjoyed it very much.
Putting the dollhouse together was a bit tricky as when you move one part, another comes off. I again kept my patience and ensured my kids had fun with the process and maybe learned something from it.
Once done, my 2 youngest daughters did (and still do after a few months) have fun with the dollhouse. They love it because it is big and they can better imagine being inside it with their fantasy stories.
I recommend it.
Brought this for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas. She was so surprised and amazed by this barbie dream house. The house is a lot bigger then expected but for my daughter the bigger the better as she has lots of barbies. It is very easy to put together and the instructions are very clear. Overall the quality is great and my daughter has house of fun playing with it 🙂 It’s a great addition to her bedroom.

We got this when it was half price just before Christmas.
Perfect for any little girl. Only issue was that it was a Christmas present but came with no cover on packaging so if children are at home they will see their present….luckily mine was not!
Daughter absolutely loves it. It’s a lot of money for what it is but if you can afford it then get it. It’s been played with loads. They’re are multiple things things you can do, like change the bed to a table, go up the list etc

I believe the cost of this to be too high for what it is. In comparison to other brands it has quite clearly been marked up in price due to the brand.
Ignoring that point though, it is an excellent dolls house with many features and parts. It is large enough to allow maybe 3 children to all easily play with it simultaneously. The plastic components do seem strong and after 1 month of it being used no parts have broken so far.
It has quite a large footprint so expect to use a large area to set this up fully especially if you factor in other accessories to go with it. E.g. barbe car, barbie plane etc.
All in all I do recommend it to anyone with children that love to play barbies.

It’s really tall a lot sturdier than her previous barbie one. Lots of super cute accessories lots of years play out of this. Really happy with my purchase. Our 7 and 6 year old daughters really enjoy playing with this dollhouse. It has many different rooms and things to keep them busy. They are great at creative play. So they play with it for hours at a time. I gave it four stars because they’ve played with it enough to say the cost was worth it. The downside is there is a section that sticks out back. So it can’t sit flush against a wall and takes more space front to back. In a bigger room that wouldn’t be an issue. Our daughters room is smaller. When they want to play with it, they slide it out into the wide hallway. It’s true…where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Bought this before Christmas, was on sale for 160, this was the best thing a parent can buy for a child! Arrived a bit tatty boxed shaped up best I could wrapped for daughters Xmas. Opened Xmas morning all good but roof piece damaged plastic bent and distorted daughter well happy with it though. Amazon Offered return/ replace or 20 refund to purchase new piece so all good.

An Absolutely amazing barbie house! My daughters eyes lit up when she’s saw Santa has brought one – she’s wanted a big Barbie house for 3 years!
Now for the technical bits –
Most of the stickers are already on the house so there’s not too many to apply on the day. Which is a lot better than some of the Barbie products where you’re there for ages sticking the final touches to it with a little
one champing at the bit to start playing with it!
The whole thing goes together relatively quickly! I thought I’d be there hours on Christmas Day but we managed to do it in about 45mins! The Amazon video on how to assemble is great just to double check the instructions and iron out any arguments between the instruction reader and the Barbie house builder!
Now it’s built – it looks amazing and all the little features like the massive sturdy lift, slide (that fits the Barbie wheelchair down it too!) and coffee table turning it into a bed for chelsea and the main bed turning into a bunk bed makes it far more special for my daughter!
She adores it! And runs down stairs to check it’s still there every morning since Christmas – she loves it that much! I can’t comment on longevity yet, but it feels quite sturdy – a lot better than the townhouse which was so flimsy and broke so easily!
Yes it’s a lot of money, but if you get a good deal on it – it’s worth every penny and every little girls dream to own a dreamhouse!!

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. It is massive. Very easy to assemble and pretty sturdy. It is very expensive (when full price 269.99) for what it is, but I got it in a black Friday deal for 154.99 which isn’t bad value. Look for a cheaper deal and you’ll be happy.
My daughter loves this she thinks it’s fantastic, I believe it’s a little over priced for what it is. I’ve seen better we’ve added little extras of our own to justify what should of been expected little things like (electronically) lights a door bell I bought a barbie dream house over 20 years ago which was a little better with more added features.

Yes – it’s a VERY expensive plastic and card dolls house, but actually when you build it you can tell that it is good quality. The pieces all fit together really well, it’s not difficult to put together and it will satisfy my daughter for many years to come!

Now that it’s built and been played with I wanted to leave an honest review.
As stated I got this on offer. I would never have paid full price for it and now that it has been used I stand by that. It’s a great house but not almost 300 great. If it had a few more interactions then maybe.
It took longer than stated to be delivered but with it being this time of year it is to be expected. The box is huge and shows on the front of it what it is so be warned.
Building it was really easy. Clear instructions. A few areas were a little harder to slot into place but took no longer than 30 minutes to build from start to finish. It’s lighter than it looks but is very sturdy. I’ve had a 2 and a 4 year old playing with it for 6 hours pulling themselves up to see the top floor and it’s still standing.
It comes with some very small accessories like toothbrushes and cutlery that have already been misplaced!
Overall it’s a brilliant toy if you have the room for it (it’s huge!). If you’re thinking of buying be a savvy shopper and look out for deals. Don’t pay full price. Keep an eye out and get it for under 200!
Super easy to put up, didnt realise how BIG it is. Comes with quite a few accessories (which I’m yet to arrange and put into place) I got it for a bargain price of 159 in the flash sale.
It’s not as sturdy as I would of liked it, but will have to remind my daughter to be gentle!
All that being said, I did want to advise that when it arrived today there was no outer packaging on it. I had little eyes around and I had to think quickly and shove it into the back of my husband’s van to hide it.
I would have thought it’d come with something to hide what the product was.

The Dreamhouse itself is amazing, it was fairly straight forward to put together and comes with so many accessories, my daughter really wanted this and absolutely loves it, hours of fun have been had with this and will for a long time to come. Overall it’s a great buy (especially as I’ve seen it at over 100 more in other places)
Adults are probably not the best people to review an item like this. You’re likely to be taking an objective view, thinking about cost, the space it’s going to take up, whether it’s value for money, whether it’s too gender-oriented. Any young girl, particularly a Barbie fan, isn’t going to care about such matters and will only have one reaction to this, which is that it’s the ultimate perfect toy, one that will provide years of fun.
This must be the ultimate toy for any Barbie girl (and yes, it is expensive and big), but it’s typically well-designed and constructed. The three-story townhouse is very much a luxury residence, with it own lift and swimming pool with slide. There are accessories for all the rooms with some nice little touches that make them configurable and you can even add other toy accessories if you like. You will definitely need to provide your own Barbie doll or dolls, as these are not included – but then the Barbie girl is likely to already own a number of those.
It’s not a traditional dollhouse that sits against a wall or in a corner of the room (oh, no – nothing so common for Barbie), but has full 360-degree accessibility with a slide that comes out the back down into the swimming pool. It’s not difficult to assemble, but it will take an adult to put everything together. Batteries are required (not included) for the house noise effects. Like any toy, it’s breakable and parts can get lost, but this is a well enough made set that is hard to beat as a special gift for a young girl.
Thankfully she wasn’t in when this was delivered because this did not arrive in any kind of packaging, just the original box itself, it says Barbie all over with pictures of the house and furniture, making it extremely obvious what it is.
WOW! At the size of this. In my head I knew it was going to be big…I just didn’t realise HOW big.
Thankfully my daughter’s bedroom is pretty big so this lives in her room.
This was one of those I made my husband build. He says whilst it was a bit fiddly and tedious in a couple of places, it was mostly fairly easy to put together, it was more time consuming considering its size. We actually built this Christmas Eve so she came down to it all made up and the look on her face was one I will never forget.
Whilst this is big, it is so beautiful. I couldn’t help but want to play with this myself. I am in my early 30s but it definitely made me want to get out the dolls and play myself.
Thankfully my daughter “made” me play with her so I got my hearts desire 🙂
This massive 3 floored house not only houses Barbie, Skipper and Chelsea (? is that her name?) but also Anna, Elsa and Princess Aurora and an array of animal friends.
My daughter also manages to rope her brother (4) into playing with her with this fairly regularly and it is amazing to watch their imaginations come up with inventive and interesting stories that they act out. Her friends also love to come over and play with this too.
This also wasn’t only the house, it came with so many household items across the floors which only helps with their imaginative play. I honestly have never seen any of these houses come with so much extras, usually the house is expensive and then you have to buy everything else separately, spending lots more money in the process. The attention to details with these pieces is excellent. Barbie and its makers have been at this for a long time so they obviously get what children like and that includes noise effects. The toilet makes a flushing sound, the kettle whistles, the cooker makes a sizzling noise ad the oven lights up as if it’s on.
With everything that is included, I actually didn’t expect it to come with a doll and am not fussed that it didn’t. My daughter has a fair few Barbie dolls as well as a couple of Skippers and a Chelsea and I actually had these set up in the house on Christmas morning.
Normally I am not for toys this big. Between this and the Thomas Super Station my son got, there wasn’t much room left in my living room lol however I can’t complain because this has made my daughter so happy and she is happy to entertain herself when playing with this.
Yes it is expensive but there is so much here for the money I highly recommend and if you have a Barbie fan in your household I cannot recommend enough. The quality and attention to detail is brilliant and not always seen with children’s toys.

This doll’s house has lots to it — three stories and eight rooms. My daughter likes it as it has so many features, some of them unusual– e.g. a lift and a water slide, dropping into a swimming pool. It also has things powered by batteries e.g. a flushing toilet (the sound effect is what is battery powered).

My daughter has had so much fun playing with this.

The Barbie Estate Dreamhouse dolls house is a huge toy for a very lucky girl. This is a great toy, will lots of accessories and is fairly simple to contstruct. One word of warning – its Massive! Make sure you have a large space for this doll house as it takes up a lot of space. It’s about 3ft high and almost as wide. The house is on 3 stories – ground floor kitchen + diner (with kitchen accessories) plus a garage, 1st floor Living room, batchroom (with accessories) and a swimming pool, 2nd floor Bedtroom, BIW & dressing room. The pool can be filled with water for swimming and there is a lift to take barbie to all floors. In total around 70 accesorries included – my daughter particularily liked the puppy. Fun toy doll house that any Barbie fan would love (just make sure you have enough space).

In March 2019, she’s 60 years old but doesn’t look a day over 25. ‘Er indoors is a year older but hasn’t aged quite so well but still has a few of the dolls around from when she was ‘knee high to a grasshopper’. Now it’s the grandchildren’s turn to use their imagination, only this time with Barbie’s dreamhouse.
You already know this is big; in fact, bigger than one of the end users. You already know it comes with about 70 pieces with which to furnish her house. You already know it doesn’t come with Barbie, which is a shame, some may say outrageous at this price, but then no one will buy this without having access to the character or having one to go with it. (Which is an opportunity to repeat that well known risqu joke; “Does Barbie come with Ken? No, though she does with Action Man”.) As usual, the attention to detail is all there: the flushing lavatory, the cooker that sizzles, the furniture that turns from a sofa to a bunk-bed; the kettle whistles and the oven lighting up.
It took about 30 minutes to assemble and I can report that nothing was missing or damaged (you will need four AAA batteries, and isn’t it about time these were included in anything needing them?). There are a lot of small pieces here and though some can be attached to the necessary table, etc. there are bits that are loose and may get lost over time, and you may have difficulty getting replacements.
The only minor problem I can think of is that it will have to be played with in the middle of a room, as it’s a full 360 play house. Yes it’s expensive. Yes, it’s big. Yes, this will be played with for hours and hours, and this has been, with plenty of imagination, which is all that matters. And you can’t put a price on that.
This is an absolute beast – say what you will about plastic, about Barbie, about spending all those pennies – but there’s still no way this doesn’t get five stars. During construction, like most toys these days, it has its moments thanks to vague instructions which prefer images over text. When the images sometimes differ from the pieces included, in colour and scale, then you know you may be in trouble but (un)luckily I’ve built enough of these things to counter these nonsensical difficulties.
Once you have the shell built, you can start adding the fiddly extras, the cool slide and pool and exterior elevator, and apply the stickers before clicking all the utensils into place. The three storeys are varied and include a garage, bathroom, living areas, bedroom, office, kitchen, and you can customize them till your heart’s content. With some of these sets you end up with so many little pieces that they get lost or can’t be stored easily. One of the great things about this set is that most of the pieces can be attached – to a table, a hob, a fireplace etc. Not everything can be clicked in at the same time, but whatever is left over can be hidden away in the fridge, wardrobe, or cabinet.
It’s a decent and sturdy build with bright colours and easily moveable parts. I think one ready added sticker was missing from my set – according to the artwork the rear of the house should have colourful bins and flowers but we only have the outline of this without the colours. No Barbie is included, but a little dog from the Dreamhouse series is, and you can of course add your own Barbies and other dolls to it. The toilet and cooker require four AAA batteries (total) if you want them to make a variety of noises, or you can skip those.
If you have a young girl who likes dolls and watches TV, the Barbie Dream house is the dream toy. At around 250 for a plastic palace, parents need to be pretty committed to make that dream reality. When the box arrives you have an idea of what you are in for when you see the size of it flat packed. It requires adult assembly but takes only about 30 – 40 minutes to put together. The Dream House comes fully furnished and decorated like a show home, with even the pet dog included however Barbie herself and her friends are absent. If you are willing to spend this amount on the house I suggest spending a few pounds more to get the dolls as well unless your child already has them. The garage is also empty so if you want the full experience budget for the car as well and as with nearly all toys batteries are not included. Once assembled this thing is big occupying a space 67cm deep, 125cm wide and 120cm tall, measure it out and make sure you have the space. You could use it without the slide, pool and the garage and this more than halves the floorspace required.
Play value is the same as all dolls houses, it provides the venue and the backdrop but after the wow moment the fun comes from the dolls and your child’s imagination. After a few weeks you have a large ugly and dusty piece of furniture that your child will play with occasionally, however if you live in a real dream house and have the room, really a dedicated play room, then go for it, at least on first impressions it will not disappoint.
This is an enormous house spread over three floors all high enough for a Barbie doll to stand inside! First thing to know is that it comes in a big colourful flat box. If you are having it delivered as a gift, note that mine did not come in any kind of packaging. It just arrived as is, with Barbie pictures and logos highly visible all over it. Anyone could see from half a mile away what it was. You have been warned.
Inside the box, there are many parts to assemble. These mostly snap together, but it is something that will require an adult to do. Once built, you have a great big brightly coloured house, accessible from all sides. Of furniture and household items there are very many for every room. Some have sound effects too, such as the flushing toilet. The box does point this out clearly, but there are no dolls and no car included. However, any suitably sized doll would work fine in there.
So, do the kids like it? You bet they do! It’s colourful, it’s as girly as a party frock, it’s massive, it’s as high as the kids. What’s not to be excited about? It has been played with plenty since we built it and did a curtain-based “ta-da!” reveal of it for the kids.
This is no cheap dolls house. I would expect 250 to be a lot of money to most people, but the house is very solidly made, has relative few easily breakable parts, and can be used as the hub for a Barbie collection, or as a set for any amount of imaginative play. And that’s the big thing about this big house. It is a toy that has the potential to be played with for years and still be good for passing on to another child.
This 3-storey Barbie dolls house is large and requires some assembly (took me approx. 40 minutes including stickers) but it is very well made and the stuff of little (and bigger and much older!) girls dreams. I remember as a child turning my bookcase into a “house” for my Sindy dolls back in the 60’s/70’s — this is just another level altogether. With 8 rooms, a lift, a swimming pool, a garage and furniture and accessories for all, you also have 360-degree access and sounds from the cooker and the toilet (note 4AAA batteries are required and are not supplied). Mattel has really paid attention to detail e.g. the settee can also be used as a bed and the accessories include kettle, plates, coat hangers etc — some of which could be a potential hazard for younger children or pets so bear this in mind both for their safety and also to avoid potential vacuuming incidents!
It should be noted that although the photos for the product show both a Barbie and a car you do not get those as part of the deal though they can, of course, be purchased separately. This is not a problem for my home as my grand daughter and nieces keep 4 Barbies with their car and bicycles here so they have an absolute ball playing in Barbieworld! We have put water in the swimming pool and the dolls have had parties inside and outside their house.
It should be noted that when assembled the house is approx. 4ft high x 3ft wide and requires a fair bit of space so perspective purchasers might wish to check their own room/home size before buying. This really isn’t the type of toy you pack up in its box when a child finishes playing with it for the day.
Suitable for children aged 4 years old or over, the Barbie playhouse is expensive but will provide the setting for many, many hours of imaginative play and I really cannot fault it. 5*
My 4 year old daughter loves this. Absolutely loves it. Although it takes a while to assemble, the end result is really impressive and there’s hours upon hours of fun for children to have with this.
Now, it is worth noting that the eyebrow raising price of 220 comes with no barbie dolls or a car for the garage as other reviewers have stated. Having said that, the actual house itself is great quality, really bright and vivid and fully furnished with beds, tables and all manner of accessories. There’s a whole wealth of items here and the variety is really quite impressive.
It is worth noting that while the box itself is big, the full formed playhouse is massive. If you intend to get this in a flat or somewhere with limited space it’s probably not wise but for a larger area then this is ideal. To get the most out of it,it’s certainly advised to buy a barbie doll and a car to go with it but this is literally the ultimate barbie set and recommended for anyone into this.
There are many little bits of furniture as this wonderfully enormous house comes fully furnished on 3 floors and even has a swimming pool for Nemo and Shark to live in (yes, really)
The house is fully functional, a cooker for Barbie to cook the goldfish on and a garage for the car! (toot toots live in there)
Both my kids can fit their millions of random toys in there, spiderman and iron man have had tea at Barbies lots of times so far and there’s even a pet dinosaur that visits to eat the occupants. My house really does have a lot of imagination.
This truly is a beautiful toy, it is enormous yes and it is a very substantial gift but the hours and hours and hours of play from it is totally 100% worth it. Well made, well designed and truly magnificent.
This is a Christmas present for our youngest. She loves everything Barbie and this will be a lovely surprise to go with all her dolls and accessories.
The house has eight rooms and includes lights and sounds. There is a slide and pool attached as well. It includes over 60 accessories for the house and Barbie. This is perfect for creating your own little world for Barbie and she will spend hours in imaginative play. The house is easy to put together but is huge!! Make sure you have adequate space for play.
This is a huge, Barbie house, which is designed for four dolls — it is intended for Barbie and her sisters, but, obviously, you can use whichever dolls you prefer (the only limitation is that one bed is fairly small).
Fully furnished, this house has three floors, an elevator, which will take four dolls, and even a swimming pool. On the ground floor you have the front door, leading into the kitchen, which is next to the garage. There is a fridge freezer and a cooker/sink unit, which makes noises, as well as lights up. Press the hob to hear food frying, or water boiling. Turn this round and you have a barbecue, which can used in the small, patio area, outside. The fridge also has a sticker on the back which has pictures of drinks, and other necessities, should Barbie feel like throwing a dinner party. There are some small, food accessories, plus plates, etc. for four dolls.
Upstairs is the living room. The coffee table turns over to be Chelsea’s bed, which is the smallest bed. The couch cleverly turns into a bunk bed and even has a ladder. Next door is the bathroom, with a toilet which makes flushing sounds, sink (it even has four little toothbrushes) and shower. Should you wish for more water than the shower offers, step into the pool, which has a great slide, leading down from the top floor.
The top floor has Barbie’s bedroom, with a lovely wardrobe, to store her clothes and shoes. There is also a little study, with a laptop. The desk can become a fireplace, or vice versa. This joins the couch, and coffee table, as furniture with more than one function. As an extra, Barbie, and her sisters/friends, also has a little puppy, who just needs a family to join him.
This is expensive, but it is large, and impressive, and pretty sturdy. It is large enough for more than one child to play together and it is a lot of fun. My daughter, and niece, say they love the swimming pool best and the fact that it is just so big, so can fit a lot of dolls.
A huge Barbie house, approx. 77 x 76 x 22 cm, complete with furnishings but no Barbie dolls or a car for the garage. Those items need to be ordered separately which is disappointing because they’re featured on the box. The house itself is a plastic palace full of wonders with three floors split into eight different rooms. There are too many features to list but some of the best are a lift that transports the dolls between floors, light and sound activities, five items that transform into different objects and a pool that takes real water. I also like the small courtyard garden with table and chairs. As for accessories; there are sixty five different pieces included which add to the house and the fun. Once fully assembled the house is huge and you need to ensure you have the room around it for a child/children to play. My granddaughter, 7 years, is transfixed by this bright, plastic palace. She absolutely loves it and all of her smaller size dolls have had a sleepover at Barbie’s house.
This would have been my dream gift thirty years ago and to be fair, I quite like it now!
This is the more modern take on the Barbie drew house. The numerous accessories and furnishings appear more akin to an actual modern house, such as the sofas which are quite nice! This will give hours of play but be warned, it’s absolutely massive! There is no doubt that you will need a great deal of space for this so be warned. It’s almost the size of a man!
It’s easy to put together and will give hours of play. No Barbies included though, which seems a little harsh when you think of the cost of this. Yes: it’s more than 200!
It is a wonderful gift though and one I quite fancy myself!

UPDATE AFTER XMAS…. The girls love it! It’s actively and frequently in use – see picture. The microwave that lights up and the noise of the toilet flushing are very popular. The kitten (yes, a real kitten) enjoys sliding down the slide. All the bits of furniture and accessories are nicely thought out and well made.
Since it’s designed for all-round access, the slide sticks out at the back, as does the base, perhaps for stability, so it doesn’t push back against the wall – there’s a lot more play value at the front than the back, so maybe that could be redesigned so that it takes up less room. This doesn’t detract – just a comment.
