It was dark when I did this review, but it looks amazing in the sunshine
Looks good once assembled
Main problem was we had to drill out each screw hole. These were either pilot holes or just not prepared properly for the size of screws Real pain in the proverbial.
Sturdy seat and comfortable took the wood preserver well now in my garde

I bought this for my daughter and son in law as an early xmas pressie. It took 2 of us to put it together and about 2 hours. Very sturdy so therefore good value for money
A bit too lightweight would of preferred a heavier sturdier material as it was for my front garden but have had to have it in the back as it would only take one person to lift and walk off with it

I got screwed around a bit. I ended up with two benches by hand I put four lats on which took me two days when I got my electric screwdriver It took me just over five minutes to put the final six on I must say what a beautiful bench it is absolutely solid well worth the money and hastle if the need ever arose again I would not hesitate to buy again. I’m often on it of a night having a brew with my last rolly before I head off to bed. I was abit daunted to try to build this myself as the box was heavy (petite lady in her twenties)
but was quite easy although I had to drill bigger holes in the wood for the screws.
it’s extremely comfortable and I would highly recommend.

Very quick delivery to Scottish Highlands. Many don’t deliver up here so getting it was a bonus and getting it quickly was an ever bigger bonus. Went together easily and quickly. Very sturdy.

It’s a well-finished and sturdy piece of garden furniture. It’s easy to assemble too but you’ll need strong arms and a hefty screwdriver.
A nice, sturdy garden bench. Easy to assemble (get electric screwdriver ready). A perfect size for 2 adults rather than 3. The wood quality for some bars could be slightly better, thus 4 stars. Generally I am very happy with the purchase. It is comfortable too so we don’t need any cushions.
Super simple to put together and due to the way the bench curves it is seriously comfortable to sit on. This is by far a much more pleasant sitting experience than a traditional flat seat bench! Can’t recommend this item enough!!!
Bench is great quality and very comfortable, however assembly was not straight forward, the holes weren’t always large enough for screws, even my electric screwdriver struggled at times

The seat is strongly made of planks of a good thickness. The curved design of the backrest is very comfortable.
Putting the seat together was relatively easy and I treated all the components with a coat of wood preserver prior to assembly.
Delivery was prompt and all components were provided.

Great garden bench. The instructions recommend when assembling ‘don’t tighten up the bolts until you’ve fastened the cross-sections.’ The screws thread their way through the pre-drilled holes in the cross-sections, hence when you tighten up the screws it will leave a gap between the two surfaces if you are not careful. It is easy to assemble as a two-person job. I personally find it comfortable.
Don’t waste your time looking for any other garden bench, this is superb. It’s so easy to put together, took about 2mins using a cordless drill.

Great looking bench. Very hard to assemble – had to re drill the holes as the screws were too big for them and was too hard to screw in by hand.
We’re really happy with this bench. It makes a great addition to our relatively small garden, and it easily fits both of us sitting on it at the same time. It arrived promptly and was fairly easy for my boyfriend to assemble. I think it took him about 30 minutes using a power tool, and with my help holding the pieces over the right places. We have to agree with other reviews that the screws were difficult to get, and they are fairly visible at the end, but this doesn’t bother us. We also agree with other reviews suggesting the bench can be a little uncomfortable to sit on. It’s no issue for my boyfriend but i find one of the pieces of wood sticks a little in to my spine. This hasn’t stopped me enjoying sitting on it and I’m planning to use a cushion if I sit for longer periods reading over the summer. Very good value for the price and would definitely purchase again if we needed a replacement.

I really like this bench. It’s more unusual than a standard flat bench. It looks really great in the garden. The bench is comfortable and sturdy. Very easy to put together. Highly recommend.
Arrived ahead of schedule which was a bonus. Good simple instructions should have had this assembled in no time. However this is not going to be the case as there is no hope of assembling it with a normal screwdriver as indicated on the instructions. The screws are simply too big for the tiny pilot holes drilled into the frame. I now need to acquire an electric screwdriver if I am to get the job finished. Looks like a great bench, just can’t use it at present….

Easy to put together with some basic DIY skills. Wood isnt the greatest quality, but with some sandpaper and paint – looks great now, for the money, good value.

In terms of the assembly, I completely agree with other reviewers here and strongly recommend using an impact driver to assemble the bench. Without a power tool, this would have been a lot more tricky and time consuming to assemble. As you’d expect for a slightly cheaper item, the holes in the slats and the markers in the frame didn’t quite match up in some places, so the impact driver was essential in assembly.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend buying this if you’re looking for a solid bench that isn’t too expensive.
Wanted something comfy to sit on while my little girl plays outside and this is ideal – very comfy, very sturdy and a great price. Husband put it together by himself in less than an hour with just an ordinary Phillips screwdriver – all the pieces went together easily.
Delivery was also excellent – ordered 3.30pm Thursday afternoon and it arrived Friday morning.
One plank had a slight split in it which I glued but it does look good and arrived quickly.
Feels comfortable although I painted it so haven’t really had a chance to try it out.
So far so good I’d recommend it.

his is a lovely bench, simple to assemble by a single person and quit comfortable to sit upon although i have got a cushion to accentuate the pleasure. i recommend that you paint it as soon as you get it, it takes one coat and looks wonderful
Very simple to put together with predrilled holes to help you along the way. Beatiful curve and very comfortable.
Pleasantly surprised at the quality of this bench for the money – sure, it’s softwood, but for the price it delivers a lot. Pretty easy to set up – used the screws supplied and had no trouble with alignment – one spar was a little shaved on the edge but not noticeable in use. The wood is treated but I added an additional solvent based protector . The bench is similar in style to many of those in France – a little different to the usual; quite chic.

Great item, i have 4 of these now. They changed the design and now the top is flat to put a drink on. Very sturdy.
Delivery was very quick. A good sized bench fitting 3 easily. I wasn’t over impressed with some of the timber used, it appeared to be chipped at the end of one slat and one of the supports was angled through a large knot. Hopefully it will still support 3 people in years to come.

We love this bench and it took less than an hour to be assembled it is comfortable and really sturdy. The only down side was that after assembly one of the slats was split, but with a bit of wood glue it was fine. Great product!
Easy to put together and very sturdy but not quite as comfortable as I had expected, I am on the skinny side so maybe that has something to do with it. I am sure that I will get used to it as it gets more usage with the better weather coming though. Aesthetically very pleasing.
Firstly, not all of the main bars that go across are exactly the same length. Believe it or not, this is true. Some are just ever so slightly out, maybe 1cm or something like that. You can hardly tell. It doesn’t detract from the bench, but it’s just weird that you’d expect they’d all come off the same machine at the same time? One of the bars was also not chamfered at one end… maybe someone forgot? Plus the screw hole guides in the two legs don’t line-up correctly with the holes in the bars – so I had to just drive on through and force the screws into the wood where there was no pilot hole.
I’ll reiterate, though – I like this bench. What I did was this… I got all the parts together and I sanded them with an orbital sander at 230 grit – just to smooth it down a bit as the wood is still quite rough… this was a light sanding only… it just made everything feel better. Then I put some wood hardener into the feet and let it soak in (I had it handy, so I just thought I would). Then I rubbed linseed oil into all of the parts before assembling.
You need a PZ3 bit to drive the screws and I used an impact driver as I was going into solid wood… job done in hardly any time at all. The whole thing took me an afternoon because of the sanding and oiling but the bench now looks a very attractive golden colour. I’m pleased with it and I’m hoping that it will stand the test of time. It’s rigid and not actually that heavy.
I even though I could make this myself while putting it together… I might give it a go and make one even longer and even more sturdy. I didn’t think pine would cut it (no pun intended) but I bet it will be fine.
Good quality benches although be aware that for a larger person the wave in the shape may be slightly uncomfortable. The supplier was helpful and responded well to questions.

Delivery was good, I read previous reviews about the rail near the top sticking in your back. This proved to be the case, but with a small modification, we now have a reasonably priced, comfortable bench. Robert.
This bench is substantial in character, looks good and is comfortable to sit on. I have yet to see how durable it will be in years of service.
If you like dark wood you would have to stain it as it is pale pine. I liked it as it is and treated it with wood oil, which was easy to apply with a cloth. JCmo

A lovely looking sturdy seat for the garden at a really good price when compared to garden centre offerings. My husband put it together in 13 minutes. He timed it. If I had a big enough garden Id buy another one.

BUT……..
after further utilisation – we’ve found the bench to be rather uncomfortable for us adults. Two of the slats dig quite harshly into your back. My husband is going to take the edges off the offending slats and sand them down.
ALSO….. for people with short legs, the bench tends to tip forward when you try to get off.
We’ll come up with some sort of solution for that. An inexpensive bench but needs a bidda tweeking.
Ok for kids though.
Delivery arrived promptly, everything present in the box. Easy to assemble, said it needed two people, but managed it easily on my own. Good solid and chunky timber, which I have treated as per instructions, so looking forward to many years of use! Very impressed and have had some good comments from friends and family. Don’t hesitate on this one!

Quick and easy self-assembly, I put two of them together – on my own – in 30 minutes. Allen key is included, you’ll only need a big phillips screwdriver to complete.
They’re comfortable and solid and seat 3 to 4 people no problem.
The pale with green tinge finish proves they’ve been pressure treated (that’s the green tinge) and I’m looking forward to them ageing gracefully to silvery-grey.
The fixings are substantial and appear to be weatherproof solid brass. All the screw heads are deeply countersunk, so child and clothing friendly.
Reminds me – all the slat edges are bevelled, again no snagging and all timbers are planed and sanded all round.
The design will suit formal or informal – using them informally here around a pond and they look great to me (see photos).
You can buy other timber benches for 120 but if you look at the thickness of the slats and legs of the competition, as well as the fact the competition all have the same square boxy look, you will see that these offer a more attractive solution and way better value for money.
Might buy a couple more at some point. Recommended product and seller.
I have had this bench for over twelve months and I am very please with it. As it is softwood there are a few knots in it which add to its appearance, however recently one of the slats cracked through one of the large knots. I informed the company on July 1st enclosing a photo and today, July 4th, a package arrived with TWO replacement slats. Why can’t all companies be so switched on to customer service. Highly recommended product and highly recommended company.
This sells for 20 more on another sponsored website advertised on Amazon. Although it says the wood is pre-treated, it looked really white with a greenish hue on taking it out of the box. So I stained it with Cuprinol Weather protect to get the colour I liked as well as ensuring it lasts a few years longer (fingers crossed). It looks great and feels very sturdy. Be aware that it comes flat packed and will need assembly. Took me about an hour to screw it together. (My decision to stain it with two coats added 10 hours to the assembly time including the 3 hours drying between coats). Well worth the effort.
