It fits perfectly, and makes me feel like my iPad Pro is ‘safe’. The touchpad – and the gestures worked surprisingly well for me, and albeit a little clunky it feels like a quality product. If you use your iPad for portability – then carrying this around all day is probably not going to work out well. In a small laptop bag maybe, sure. My main issue is the typing experience – I find myself frustrated by the space bar not being responsive enough and often missing spaces where I put them. Battery life – amazing, it powers itself off and instantly connects when you press the power button. Probably the best alternative out there than paying for super expensive Magic Keyboard – but I still feel this one was a tad on the expensive side.

    Pros:
+ a trackpad that supports all hand gestures
+ good keys and good layout
+ handles rotation up to 180
+ Holds the iPad tight and securely

    YMMV:
. Heavy, but gives a sturdy design, so it’s a matter of preference
. Battery life without backlight is decent(I have been a week without a charge), but apparently only 20 hours or so with backlight

    Cons:
    – Magnetic cover for iPad can come off fairly easily
    – Puts a lot of pressure on the screen and can break it if you have a screen protector

Overall, I like it and I think I prefer it to the Smart Keyboard. It offers a trackpad for half the price of the magic keyboard. I am very satisfied with my purchase and I am happy that iPad Pro now doubles as a Laptop with a tactile screen.

What I dislike there isn’t any manual on how to use the bridge keyboard.
I tried several times to call the manufacturer but to leave a voicemail the box is full, almost always. So u can’t leave a message at all.
The representative are not available when needed. They should leave a text to call back or use another method to answers ,questions and concerns customers have.

What I do like is the keyboard is durable and steady.
I am happy I got it.

I was very skeptical as I have had many different iPad protectors. It did not help that the app and connecting was a bit tricky as the usability of the app is crap. However, once connected, there have been no issues. This by far is my favorite protector/keyboard. Very study. It makes the iPad feel like a legit laptop. The keyboard consistently connects quickly and works great. Just a bit more expensive than most. Just shows you that you get what you pay for. If you want the best, this is the one.

I was between this one and the newer version Max+. My decision was taken because of the magnetic cover. With the Pro+ when you detach your iPad from the keyboard it keeps the magnetic cover with it. So you can put it directly into surfaces that may scratch your bare iPad.

I bought this to replace a free standing Logitech keyboard. That keyboard was full-sized and could pair with 3 different devices at the touch of a button. This keyboard holds the iPad in its tight grasp. It matches the size of the tablet, so the keyboard is cramped. I’ll get used to it. It’s hefty and solid, made of quality materials, except for the back cover, which is a flat piece of plastic with magnets. It slides around easily and isn’t of much use. I really like that this keyboard holds whatever viewing angle I choose, from open flat to 180 degrees (closed). The iPad comes on when you open it up and away from the keyboard, just like the Apple cover. The hinges are necessarily quite stiff, given that they need to hold the screen at the selected angle. So opening it up is a bit of a minor hassle. If the viewing angle is at 90 degrees – straight up – you can type and/or use the touch screen and it has the solid feel of a laptop. Beyond 90 though, the whole affair tends to rock and wobble when you use the touch screen. I don’t use the backlit keys but it’s a nice feature to have. My favorite is the upper left button on the keyboard. Each press backs you out of the current screen, until you reach the home screen. This eliminates a ton of finger swiping.
Over all, I’m happy with it so far and would recommend it.

This keyboard works perfectly with my 2021 iPad Pro. It was simple to set up and sync. I had been using a Brydge keyboard before with my older iPad and I really liked it. So when I got a new, larger iPad I knew I wanted to stay with a Brydge keyboard. I am very pleased!

Returned the Magic Keyboard and bought this for the extra function keys. Even with the latest update, the trackpad is a little janky compared to the real thing. It is connected via bluetooth and sometimes it takes a minute to connect. It also left some marks on my screen where you drop the ipad into the hinges. They’re not scratches but I can’t get them out.

It does everything it’s supposed to do and it does it well. Battery life is pretty good, especially if you lower or turn off the backlighting when not necessary. Overall the material feel and keyboard is pretty good

This is a REALLY nice product. I wish it required less force to open and close, because I feel like the contact points on the ipad are put under quite a bit of force. More than I’m comfortable with anyway given how small the contact points are. Having said that, everything is very secure, other than the back cover, which kinda sucks. I wish that stayed on a little better. I also wish the pen was covered/secured. My pen has falled on the ground, and almost left behind while getting into my car because it was not secured by the Brydge. It’s too exposed.

I love this keyboard add-on for my iPad Pro 12.9. Only complaint I have is I sometimes must brush my thumbs across the mouse pad area when I’m typing and my cursor goes for a ride and I end up typing elsewhere. Maybe just a matter of figuring out how to disable the touch/tap function.

As long as I worked with Apple computers, I used original Apple peripherals. That was until my Magic Keyboard didn’t work anymore due to the “device not recognized” error. The Brydge keyboard turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I type faster and with less errors. The whole feel & touch is more like a laptop experience. The display doesn’t hang over the keyboard and thus allows for a full keyboard, including brightness control, backlit on/off, volume control and more. The display angle is easily adjustable to any liking. The only disadvantage is the sparse documentation. Especially the touchpad requires a great deal of adjustments, and scrolling per touchpad is not smooth at all. Maybe that can be rectified with more adjusting, but there is no detailed documentation to explain the necessary settings. Still, I give it five stars.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI researched a bunch of these keyboards and was minutes away from buying the Apple Magic keyboard. So glad I didn’t. Also really glad I didn’t go with the cheaper sub $100 models. I absolutely need a trackpad and the cheaper models reviews were heart breaking. The Magic gets good reviews but it is an Apple product and once you are in the orchard you tend to stay there. I would know.

Anyway Michelle Nyugen has a really great article in Wall Street Journal, How to turn your iPad into a Laptop, or something like that. And she mentions this keyboard. But I ignored all that journalism and objectivity and focused on the Apple brand. But luckily I snapped out of it. I needed something that I could use on my lap, the Magic Keyboard sucks for that, the Brydge is fanastic. I needed a top notch trackpad, this one is awesome.

What I didn’t know is Brydge brought all the familiar MacOS shortcuts over. So all the keyboard shortcuts I am used to, work perfectly. I am at the top of the learning curve, that’s sweet.

The keys have a nice travel, great feel and an oh-so-satisfying click. The backlight is great. Very bright and the top row of keys are all function keys specifically tailored to iPadOS. So nice. I got used to the keyboard so fast I forgot my iPad Pro was an iPad and got surprised when I touched the screen and stuff happened!

I have to be 100% mobile so having this keyboard and a cellular enabled iPad Pro is perfect for me. Happy Happy Joy Joy

I love the design of the keyboard and what it does for the ipad. Makes it into a really nice little laptop. Typing on it is great and the trackpad works very well. The only thing i can think of that i do not like is after a period of inactivity it kind of goes to sleep and it takes a while to connect back to the ipad. Sometimes 20+ seconds before it wakes up and connects then starts working again. But overall very nice piece.

My iPad is usually stationary since working from home and even though I was concerned about the hinges now that I’ve had this for some time I am not anymore. The quality, construction and functionality out performs Apple’s own over priced keyboard in every way. It would be perfect if it had smart connector support to charge both like the apple one though.

Blends perfectly with the aesthetic of the iPad, looks like it could be made by apple. Great keyboard. The touchpad has received its share of negative reviews, but I’m a fan. Two finger scrolling does not accidentally engage the annoying pinch to zoom gesture as with other non-apple trackpad keyboards. I’m also fine with the lack of three fingered gestures in exchange for the level of support and build quality provided. If you’re used to the gestures of a Mac, reach for the ultra-premium priced magic keyboard… but I’m a PC user, I’ve got a left click, right click, long press and I’m 100% satisfied. You get what you pay for with this, and you pay a lot.

That said, I wouldn’t be opposed to support for the gesture functions in the future.

The keyboard is responsive and a pleasure to type on. The battery lasts “forever” and doesn’t drain the iPad’s battery because it has its own battery. It also provides protection for your iPad. It also takes up considerably less space than Apple’s version and is easy to use in your lap, whereas Apple’s version needs to be on a hard surface. Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our Users…there are three issues that are unsettling:

First, it’s recommended to remove an existing screen protector to avoid undue pressure on the screen where the hinges clamp onto the iPad. It makes sense to do so, but now I have to give up a texture that I liked–the screen protector I had allowed my fingers to easily glide on the tablets surface; the “natural” texture isn’t anywhere near as slick so I’m not thrilled with the au naturale texture.

Second, the iPad sits so low in the hinges that I’m unable to dismiss a screen/close an app by swiping up from the bottom–I have to pull the iPad up a minimum of 4mm to be able to do so, but that also means the top of the iPad now juts out 4mm over the edge of the keyboard; the overhang is surely to incur damage somehow.

Third, there are two, rubber “bumpers” on the keyboard that prevent the iPad’s screen from becoming damaged by it resting on keyboard’s keys. In my experience with MacBooks, those nubs eventually scratch the screen from repeated opening and closing, so I wonder that now that I’m sans screen protector, whether that’ll happen, too.

I had a Logitech Slim Portfolio cover before and it hadn’t gone wonky with its E and L keys frequently flaking out I would’ve kept it; it’s because of Logitech’s poor customer service in resolving the matter that I decided to try the Brydge keyboard. However, I’m having second thoughts about keeping it, especially with the too-low-bezel issue. I suppose I could use keyboard commands to accomplish the dismissal of active apps, but I shouldn’t have to modify my behavior on account of a design flaw.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI love the feel of a Brydge product, it’s just well made and inexpensive for the quality vs say apple OEM.

There are few minor differences from their format to Apple standards that can take a bit of getting used to, and a few things i would like to change for it such as the keypad not having a ‘stay on backlit’ option, instead you have three arguably all very much the same brightness settings in place. I also think the option to have ‘programmable keys’ or at least the function ones as your own shortcuts is a tad of a missed opportunity too.

As for the trackpad, it too has some differences when using and i think a few bugs with it still exist which I hope brydge can fix through the firmware, it sometimes doesn’t quite respond with the intended click actions and brings up different menus… however this might be personal setup issues i will admit and others may not experience. As for the rest of the hardware. The magnetic backing comes loose at times and could do with being more permanently fixed, but i guess i could use some d.sided taping to resolve that! The only other snag is the weight from the iPad at the back of a laptop sitting position… it makes you rethink your ‘position requirements’ when trying to type or view the screen in some ways a laptop’s ballast favours.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this however, and one of the major pluses comes from the predictive text being at the bottom of the screen and at keyboard height as you can punch words out so much quicker than you would fully typing them, with a little practice i found it massively improved my dictation time and accuracy… i can’t say enough good things about this improvement! I also shouldn’t forget to point out the siri button position is a charm.

Go ahead and treat yourself with a true accessory for your iPad.. it really improves on your original investment!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’ve had the predecessor to this model for several months now. This was before the trackpad version was available. Except for that point, it is more or less the same. I’ve found it to be perfectly reliable and responsive. It’s simple to connect via blue tooth and the battery charge lasts for weeks. It’s not as cheap as some competitors but you get what you pay for. It really does transform the iPad into a laptop and well worth the investment. The addition of the trackpad enhances that even more in my opinion as I’m seriously considering purchasing the new keyboard.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBrydge got this right…Apple didn’t. I tried both. The Brydge turns that iPad Pro 12.9 4th gen into an MacBook Pro…really. In fact that iPad Pro will probably become the 1st gen non-intel Mac. By the way this is $100 less than the Apple product. And the design is not cute…but functional. Brydge needs to make a rear protector cover for it’s current cover and a bottom cover. Also, a trackpad & area cover. Have not tried the Brydge iPad screen cover (other protectors appear to be incompatible).
