The Core Balance TPE Yoga Mat is a non slip mat with alignment lines which is Eco friendly and comes with a travel strap. This mat is made from durable closed cell TPE foam with core grip technology and is ideal for a beginner to use at home.

My wife has been using this mat for the last month and she’s really happy with it. The non slip base is excellent and keeps the mat stable. The material feels robust and for light usage I imagine it will last for years. It’s easily cleaned and it’s recommended that the mat is cleaned with a cloth after usage to prolong its lifetime It rolls up neatly for storage when not used and the velcro strap is a really useful addition.

Priced at 17.99 at time of review I think this is an excellent yoga mat for home usage and I’d recommend it to anyone looking to do yoga at home.

Really happy with this mat. My last mat was more cushioned but my hands slipped when doing certain positions, but this mat is brilliant with no slipping at all. I use it on a wooden floor and it hasn’t slipped once. The alignment lines are incredibly useful to make sure I’m doing the moves correctly too. Lovely bright colourfast turquoise colour (no colour transference to my sweaty hands or feet!). It’s very firm so if you’re looking for something more cushioned then this probably wouldn’t be for you.

Really impressed with this mat for the price. It’s comfortable, grips the floor and is lightweight.

Not sure that it is suitable for long term use but for light exercise it is a perfect fit. Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI found the Core Balance TPE yoga very comfortable to use. I have skinny hip bones sticking out which usually hurt when I am doing floor front poses but with this yoga mat, it was thick enough and comfortable that I did not feel the floor underneath me and my hip bones did not hurt. That was lovely.

I like the base which keeps it from slipping and the front is very comfortable to work on and do my poses without slipping. Most important for me was my hips feeling comfortable and not in any pain or discomfort from feeling the ground underneath.

    The markings are very helpful.

I was not too keen on the carry strap which felt a bit flimsy and was awkward to put on. I may consider buying something a bit stronger and easier to attach as the strap provided took me personally a while to put on and adjust.

I would recommend the mat. It is a good price.

    Enjoyable and comfortable

I have mild arthritis in my knees and since I have been working from home about two years ago, it has made me move less as I spend a lot of time sitting in front of a PC most of the time.

It might be a psychological thing as I find this mat motivates me to get up and exercise and do yoga to strengthen my knees.

It’s really important that the mat has a good anti-slip feature so my knees don’t move involuntarily during the exercise, which this mat has.

It’s also comfortable to use, the thickness and the size are just right for me. I also love the vibrant purple colour with useful alignment markings imprinted on it.

In short, I would certainly recommend this yoga mat as it’s a good quality mat that does the job, is durable and reasonably priced at 14.99 (at the time of writing).

When this first arrived it was quite smelly as it out-gassed whatever petrochemicals were inside it (the listing states “Thermoplastic Elastomers and Polyvinyl Chloride”). I aired it well to let it out-gas and that got rid of the smell. I think many plastic and foam things these days can suffer from this, particularly when tightly/hermetically sealed for sale/transport.

The markings on this mat are handy for some exercises. They also let you ensure your alignment is correct and balanced between left and right versions of a position.

In use this mat is comfortable to walk on, despite its relatively thin 6mm thickness, and the grip is good.

I stored the mat rolled up and stood on its end for a while, and the edges seemed to get quite dented from this, but they have popped out again since. I would be tempted to recommend not storing this against or with hard and sharp objects to avoid denting and damage.

The price seems quite reasonably at present, so this seems a good mat to go with if you’re looking for a replacement or to start out.

Very smelly when it arrived; but comfy after airing

This is a lovely yoga mat-I got the purple which is a gorgeous colour. It’s a good thickness and length, lightweight and easy to carry once you’ve finished using it. Also easy to clean. I didn’t really use the alignment lines etc but used it as a regular yoga and Pilates mat whilst exercising. A good price for what it is.

Core Balance TPE Yoga Mat with Alignment Lines 6mm Non Slip Eco Friendly with Travel Strap is currently available in 4 colour options: teal, blue, grey and purple, and all are at the price of 14.99 including next day quick delivery and 30 days returns if anything goes wrong with the item. I got the teal option.
I like that this matt is really lightweight when I will carry it around I won’t even feel it.
It is very soft, its cushioning is good and it has a velvety like feel. It has some sort of texture/pattern to it. It almost feels ‘spongy’ compared to the very thin mats.
I would say the grip is good and is actually slightly better when your hands are sweaty (unlike the old style of “sticky’ mats which made you slide off).
The alignment lines are very handy and the markings in the centre of the mat will help with positioning especially for the beginners.
It comes with a strap that you will find in the middle of the rolled-up mat.
Overall I think it’s a really nice mat at a reasonable price, so I highly recommend this choice.

Love the colour and the style

This yoga mat weighs 860g; measures 183X65cm & for carrying 65X13cm

I really like the thickness of it. It’s double layered foam & unlike some thin ones that are flimsy, give a you good cushioning & comfort levels.
Doesn’t slip & stays put well.
The grey colour is a nice classic light & medium grey layers.
I don’t like the strap it comes with; feels cheap & tacky compared to the nice feel of the yoga mat. I will make or get my own.

This is a very comfortable Yoga Mat that provides a nice surface for stretching and practising poses etc. It’s an attractive colour (it got a thumbs-up from my wife!) and has some helpful markings on the top to help you get in the correct position. The supplied travel strap makes it easy to store and carry around if needed. At its relatively low price point, it represents good value for money too. The only negative I can see is around durability. It doesn’t look or feel like it will stand up to much abuse, and its soft surface is very easily marked or scratched. Even your jewelery or a zip on your clothing could cause some damage on the soft surface. Time will tell, but my instinct is this won’t last too long and certainly wouldn’t be suitable for more energetic exercises such as circuits or cross-fit.

Overall, I do like this mat and it’s more than good enough for yoga/stretching especially given its price. However, I recommend you look elsewhere if you want something durable enough to use for anything high impact. I’d probably give it 3.5 stars but given the value for money I’m rounding up to 4 stars (just).

The mat stays on the floor well and doesn’t move, underfoot it is comfortable and I like the lines on the mat, these can help with foot positions.

I will be using this for yoga but I reckon you can do other exercises on it.

It rolls up easily and is supplied with a retaining strap that does it’s job.

All round good product, quality is good nice colour and it will do what I want it to do

Excellent feel, sturdy and good quality

I really love this yoga mat. It is just the right thickness for me to do both yoga and pilates on. I love the markings on it most of all. They really help me to get my hands and feet in the right place during poses. Great quality and very useful markings. I love it.

This review is for the Core Balance TPE Yoga Mat with Alignment Lines 6mm Non Slip Eco Friendly with Travel Strap (Blue)

12.99 at the time of review.

It has a carrying strap which is handy as it not only can be used to carry the mat but it also helps to keep the mat rolled up for easier storage.

It grips the floor well (wooden) and doesn’t move and I can fit onto it with a small overlap top and bottom which is perfect.

It has a decent thickness to it which does offer some cushioning when kneeling, etc.

I can’t see any negatives here and the price is reasonable so it is 5 stars for this yoga mat from me.

I don’t do yoga on my yoga mat. Rather, I use it for push ups and crunches.

This is only my third yoga mat and I’ve been lucky that each one has been better than the last.

The colour options here are nice. However, the main thing that matters to me is how much grip is on offer. Perhaps it’s the circular pattern, but I can feel a lot of grip in both my hands and feet when using this one.

    So far, so good

    Grippy AF 🙂

The mat arrived wrapped up in a plastic shrink wrap for protection, inside the rolled up mat there was a handy elasticated carry strap that slips over the ends when rolled up, due to the strap diameters being elasticated you don’t have to be overly fussy when rolling the mat up after use.

The mat is good quality and lies relatively flat once rolled out, the mat measures 1830mm long x 650mm wide and 6mm thick.

The mat is made from TPE foam and is easy to wipe clean after use, the foam does not absorb liquids and is non slip on both sides.

I really like the alignment lines as it helps when doing forms.

Overall, for the price this is a great yoga mat that will suit most people, it maybe on the thin side for other users, also comes with a free online guide by scanning the QR code on the tag, thank you.

    Core Balance TPE Yoga Mat
    =====================
I’ve been let down by so many yoga mats, mainly claiming to be a certain thickness but turning out nothing like it. I’ve come across quite a few core balance products now, and they tend to have a good balance between cost and quality, so I thought I would take a punt on this one. Mat is great! Actually it is as stated – 6mm thick, made up of two materials. Carrying handles are a bit cheap, but they do the job. Using the mat is a dream, and the lines are a huge plus – such a simple but great idea. As with a lot of its other equipment range you get good bang for buck.

    great yoga ma

The verdict on the yoga mat after some
post Easter egg yoga () my wrists don’t seem to over extend as they can do on a thicker mat and this mat feels comfy when kneeling also. I love the darker line markings on it, they are a slightly ridged grippy texture. I thought that they might just be a gimmick but they helped me make sure my feet were even eg in down dog and the centre line was really good for warrior as it is really grippy and your feet don’t slide at all. My hands crept a bit once in down dog but that was more my bad positioning and when I tweaked things a bit it solved the problem – it helps to have your hands over one of the lines also. I slip way less than on my old mat and this mat also doesn’t move on my wooden floor which used to be a problem for me.
The mat is easy to roll after use, the elasticated carry strap is functional but a bit cheap looking, can’t really complain for the price though as the mat is the main thing here and it is great value at the price (currently 12.99).
The mat does have a smell to it when first unrolled (like a cheap foam flip-flop!) but is almost gone after a couple of uses.

I find that a first reaction to a yoga mat means a lot and my first thoughts were promising. It looks good, has the right thickness and is non-slip. It features alignment marks which may be useful to beginners. This is a well made mat at a good price and comes with its own carry strap which is a useful feature.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI work out at home on wooden floors, so I use a yoga mat both for strength training work as well as to do cardio-based exercise videos.

This Core Balance yoga mat grips my floors nicely and barely moves. I’ve yet to find a yoga mat that does not move at all when I jump around and move side to side, so when I say that it “barely moves”, I’m not criticising this yoga mat. It’s as good as any yoga mat I’ve tried.

The thickness of the mat seems fairly standard for a yoga mat. For example, it provides enough comfort when I lie on my back to do crunches.

This yoga mat comes with a strap, which helps to keep the mat together. Some yoga mats do not come with a strap, which can be a pain!

Overall, there isn’t really much to differentiate this yoga mat from others. This Core Balance mat does as good a job as others – and I’m hoping it will last a couple of years before my exercise workouts (and me jumping around on them in trainers) wear it out.

A good yoga mat that does not slip
