This is a great addition to my security system. Works very well so far. The unit is very professional looking and has that “This homeowner is serious about his security” Look about it
The App is simple to download and easy to operate and set up, with lots of settings to choose from. Picture quality seems very good even when set on standard definition. There is software on the Wansview website that allows you to view and record from your PC but is very basic in functionality and for me the latency is quite severe at times, However operation via your mobile phone is excellent which is what it is really designed for.
Its construction is solid and feels like a more expensive camera. It operates on a 2.4GHz wifi so if you have the 5GHz wifi in your home it wont work.
Wansview technical support is excellent and they answered my questions very quickly and even provided an update for me to add Intelligent motion tracking.
    Well done Wansview

I have purchased 4 of the cameras, delivery was swift from Amazon. The cameras are very easy to set up compared to previous WiFi cameras that I had purchased in the past. The app works really well and I could remotely operate the camera. I have purchased 4 SD cards for back up.
The usb connector would require a large hole if I wanted to drill through a wall, but I am able to thread the cable through a window and close it with out any damage to the camera cable. I will give more feedback back as time goes on and hopefully there will be no problems the operation of the units.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThe camera itself is excellent for the price. Easy to install and set-up with good image quality and some great features such as being able to set a handful of different positions that you can change to at the push of a button.
What really makes this an outstanding purchase is the customer service from Galayou. A few days after getting the camera they emailed me to check everything was ok. I was having a few issues with the motion detect function which they investigated and solved quickly.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with this purchase and have no hesitation giving 5 stars

Highly recommend for anyone wanting to install outdoor cam, easy setup, I’ve had other cameras up before and this ones really good, great how it rotates as you can capture a wide range, alarms and led lights are all good on it aswell, saved positions are excellent, system updates are up to date aswell usually the cameras start having problems when there’s no updates but this one seams good, not expensive at all for the price, would recommend a good quality micro SD card so you can play back and record etc… Cloud storage is also available on this device, all good so far and likely to buy another soon to cover other grounds around the property, would recommend this Camera.

I have already got a TP link Tapo camera which I rate highly for hardware and software, so this camera had a big hill to climb to outperform my Tapo.

The price attracted me and I had to try one at 26.99 which is a lot cheaper than my current Tapo and with more features.

My Galayou 2K Wireless Outdoor Security Camera Model Y4 arrived next day and I set it up on my workbench next to my router. The software I installed on my android phone had a guide to get me up and running in no time at all.

I was panning and tilting all round the room, I set up my preferred options in the software easily and let it run for a few hours. Feeling that all was well I fitted it outside with a good view of the garden.
I had to drill a 20mm hole to get the USB plug through, with a little thought they could make a change there so a much smaller hole could be used.

I started with the motion detection full on and that was a mistake, I gradually tested lowering the sensitivity and I am now at low, even middle low was too high causing lots of alerts for stuff like moths and raindrops at night.
I also selected full colour night vision but soon realised that like the Tapo greyscale at night gives a greater clarity than colour.

The camera is as good a picture and video as the more expensive Tapo, plus it has pan & tilt. No more getting the ladder out to move the view of the camera. You can set presets too for the camera view which is nice.

The camera needs a good wifi signal and I found moving my wifi6 repeater closer to the camera got rid of most of the lag when using pan and tilt and the App just felt nicer in general.
Although the app works I do feel I am comparing with the Tapo one and favouring that one so maybe some work needs to be done with feedback from customers to refine it some.

As this is wifi and 5V USB I did think of getting another, yes they are that good value, and set it up on a small tripod with a 5v USB battery power pack and use it as a wildlife camera around the garden. Would be interesting seeing what animals visit overnight and a lot cheaper than a good wildlife camera.

So as you can tell by now I am mostly very happy with this camera, its several weeks now since it arrived and as I said already I bench tested it for a while before mounting it outside, but some hours after mounting it the camera became unresponsive and the only way to fix it seemed to be taking it down and pressing the reset button on the camera and going through the motions of setting it up again. I was concerned this was going to be a problem going forward but its been rock solid since then and if I had to blame anyone I guess it could have been my then weak wifi signal crashed the camera somehow.
I did contact customer service who were very attentive but as I had fixed the glitch, there was nothing for them to do. They did contact me several times after just to make sure I was 100% happy. Not bad support for a low cost camera!

Edit: my camera refused to track left or right after 3 months use and I also had some water in the lens area after some very heavy rain storms. I contacted Wansview support and after running some tests they suggested they would like to replace my camera which I was happy to agree to. It arrived very quickly which again I was very pleased about. Great customer service Wansview!

Wanted an extra camera for my front drive and decided to buy a Y4 camera. It is easy to install as the bracket is separate to the camera so you fit the bracket to the wall then just install the camera into the bracket. The app was easy to install and connect the camera was easy as well. The picture quality is excellent and is clear even in the dark. I certainly recommend this security camera and will he buying another one.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersHere is my honest review of the Galayou 2K Wireless Outdoor Security Camera Model Y4.
If you don’t want to read through all the details, the take away from this is its absolutely brilliant for the money and would be a really useful addition to any home security set up. Build and picture quality is great, and the software App is good enough.

    Now for more details…..
Let me start by saying that I am a massive TAPO fan, all my home SMART kit is TP Link Tapo or Kasa, that’s bulbs, plugs, power strips, switches, cameras, temp & humidity sensors, and a video doorbell. They all work really well with the App, google home and Alexa and when on offer are a very reasonable price for the quality and ease of use.
However….. When I saw this super cheap outdoor camera I could not resist ordering one as I want an external camera to watch my trailer that is behind my back fence. Here the camera could easily be tampered with, so I did not want to spend a lot, just in case.

So, one day later the box arrived….

I had ordered a micro SD card along with the camera so opened everything up, stuffed the SD card in, downloaded the WANSVIEW App, created an account, connected to my WIFI, plugged the camera into the mains and followed the simple setup. 2 minutes later I was looking at a crystal-clear video of my dining room. I went through the simple settings menu, made some adjustments, opened the window, and put it on the window ledge to see what it would do.

As darkness descended the IR lights kicked in and I had a clear black and white view of my back garden, when my daughter came home from work, the camera detected her, switched on the LED spotlights, alerted my phone via the App and I now had crystal clear COLOUR video of her walking down the path, I could see her clearly and she could see her keys from the cameras ‘floodlight’.

This device cost me a little more than an LED motion detecting flood light but with a camera built in! if you don’t want to add an SD card for recording it would still serve well as a PIR light that sends you an alert when it triggers and you could then look at the live feed to see who is there.

The camera is now mounted on my little shed near the house, the last few days have been nothing but rain, the unit has NOT fogged up and picture quality remains excellent. It is currently powered by a 50W solar panel and SLA battery setup that was already installed in the shed. Did I mention the power connection? I did not….
I was also intrigued by the fact that this camera is powered by 5v USB and not 12v which is the norm…..
    Yes its USB powered…..
Comes with an adaptor for you to put in ‘that’ drawer with all of the others…… 🙂
Power consumption I hear you ask? I am glad you did….
The box states 5v at 1A however I had this running from my PC with a USB power monitor and the power draw is TINY.
    in DAY mode its 210ma
in IR mode its 350-380ma (it jumps about)
in flood light mode its 400ma
All at five volts so 2 WATTS at full power!!!!
Ok, I just plugged my TAPO outdoor camera into a TAPO power monitoring plug and it too is drawing only 1 Watt in day mode so that would suggest that cameras draw about the same. Update – 2 hours later and its dark….. my Tapo camera is drawing a whole 3 Watts, so both are comparable on power – let’s not worry about 1 Watt of difference….
The camera is not automatically picked up by Google Home or Alexa, however it was a simple job to link the Galayou App to both of them and now I can see the camera in both Google HOme and view it on my Alexa Show 8 just by shouting at ‘her’
I am the ‘tekkie’ im my family and have linked everything through my Alexa show 8, so that anyone can switch things on and off or see whos in the garden or at the door, this camera works seamlessly with my system, so not being a Tapo product is not a problem for my set up. (This is really how tech stuff SHOULD be)
    Now for the downsides…..
This camera does not have ‘tracking’, my current Tapo camaera also has no ‘tracking’ as its fixed…. This camera is not fixed and can me remotely panned via the app. Bonus….
This means that you can set multiple target points for the camera, save them and when you click on them in the App the camera automatically moves to that position and shows you what is there.
The latest versions of the Tapo cameras link directly to trigger points on the camera recording timeline, clicking on them takes you directly to that recording showing you quickly what has been recorded, this camera software does not, it shows a stamp on the timeline where ‘something’ has been detected, however the timeline can be zoomed in to 1 minute intervals which makes finding triggers very easy, the older Tapo cameras have a VERY fussy timeline that jumps about during navigation. So overall this is not as good as the up to date (as in buy the newer Tapo cameras) it is much better than the standard. For reference, the updated INDOOR Tapo cameras I am refering to are C210, the older non tracking are C200 – I believe that they CAN track if you pay for the cloud storage option, but I am tight and dont…..
Although you cant track movement, you can set various trigger areas and tweak sensitivity levels, sound recording is good, I havent tried shouting though it yet but assume its good.
So In my opinion not really a down side…. just not as friendly as Tapo, the latest Tapo, the one you have to buy AGAIN….
And I assume that the App software could be updated in the future to include a better experience, but lets not forget the price of this item.
I REALLY dont normally bother writing such lengthy reviews for products BUT this one is so good I felt that I had to do it justice and as someone who understands cameras and ‘smart home things’ I thought that I would write a review that would include the things that I would want to know about.
Like I said at the start, I am a fan of Tapo but this camera cannot be ignored for its price, quality and features.
I am by no means an expert but if you have questions feel free to ping them via Amazon, just bear in mind that I work 50 hours a week and have a very broken family that are my priority.

If you have a strong WiFi signal then these cameras work well.

I run these cameras from a computer. It is an i7 computer with 8GB of RAM. You need a computer with a bit of poke if you intend to run these cameras on the 2K setting. It is surprising how much the CPU has to work to cope with the flow of data on the higher setting. I use an Android Emulator called LDPlayer which allows the Wansview Cloud App to run on the computer quite flawlessly. I have also boosted my internet signal using Mesh Technology, which are internet nodes placed at suitable places around the house so that the cameras receive a strong signal at all times.

By relying on the above the cameras work well for me.

I have tried quite a number of cameras. However, ever since I stumbled upon the Wansview and Galayou smart camera, I have pitched my tent here.

    – Easy installation process,
    – Perfect image quality and most especially a very user friendly interface.

I have 6 of these cameras installed in my house and I can’t love them less.

The cream on the icing remains the swift response I got from one of their customer rep called “Luna”. She was able to replace one of damaged camera irrespective of when I bought them. I also received a discount voucher from them. If you are reading this, Thank you Luna. You did a great job and your after sales follow-up is to be commended.

I recommend this smart camera to all households.

This camera is small enough to not be intrusive and can be mounted horizontally or vertically to suit a discrete location.
It is listed as weatherproof but I installed it in a sheltered area to best protect it from the extremes of weather and it was a convenient place. I paired this with a Scandisk extreme memory card as don’t yet have the Wansview Cloud subscription and it is very easy to view live video or replay via the app.

Amazing product for the price so easy to set up, brought this for a family member living in Turkey and wasn’t sure if it would work out there very surprised it worked as well as in the UK. Easy to control from any mobile phone even set up on three different devices as one will be used whilst in the UK. Even had the neighbours over and making notes of the model to purchase for themselves.

This is camera number five! I fitted four for family and decided it was time to get one myself.

Have installed it on a narrow boat so that I can keep an eye open whilst I’m not there. Love the design, style and just about everything there is on this unit. Other reviews have moaned about the picture quality, time lag night vision etc, but for the price I think i’ts the best on the market by far and I can’t and wont complian, i’ts simply a cracking camera.

The others were a breeze to set up, literally plug and play. Mine wasn’t but one E-mail to the very helpful and extremely friendly Cathy at ‘Wansview’ and I was up and running.

To have that kind of support on a product is unheard of in this current climate and they deserve every tiny bit of praise going. It’s like having a family member or a good friend at the end of the line.

Can’t recommend this unit highly enough. It’s ticked every box and the customer service is simply exemplary.

    Many thanks.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our Usersbought the cameras after reading a few of the reviews around and the WANSVIEW looked to be the most effect cost and quality wise for the PTZ camera. want to use for home cctv. installed was easy and set mine so was easy for the cable connections, can extend the usb lead with any length but was enough and also sited so gave me 270 degree from each point. wifi worked well with no lag based on virginmedia 1gb 5hz about 15m from the house to the garage .used the app for android and easily set up, i also used the window 11 software so gave me access from my pcs and can also access with remote access and also makes a cracking nice picture on my 32 screen… both apps use to easily. if any bugs i would say the pc software has tweaks that could do upgraded which would make lots more useable. the motion set up could be set up grid points so can be shaped better rather than a large 1 off block if it adjusts. for the price ive seen crap cctv far lest price which is great for the money. 2k ? wouldnt say fully but does give you a clean crisp video and image for the money. if they can define the software would be a winner . shame the tracking software wont work if 2 camera so didnt try it. might get a couple for the rest of the house and maybe try some at the office as well, at that price cant fail.

I also bought a micro as card (elsewhere) and installed that, and now I N have a perfectly clear picture in the day and night. and days of storage. Couldn’t ask for more

honestly the most amazing thing I think I have ever purchased. I don’t have anything to fault it to be honest. for the price it is amazing. it should be more if I am honest! night vision works really well. motion detection can be adjusted to sensitive or not. notifications can be previewed on a lock screen (iPhone) has a siren button which is really cool. can set positions of view as a favourite so if you move it around you can put it back in original view with a click of a button. range of view is amazing also, really good motion of up down and side to side.

We purchased this camera on the 24th Aug 23, I found it quite straight forward to install, (fitted on my shed in the back garden.), down loading and installing the app was straight forward too, easy to set up instructions via the app, and once camera was in position and plugged into mains, we found it worked very well, excellent picture quality both during the day and at night, night light covers a large area and activated by the motion detection, you can also control all functions of the camera via the app, panning aroundup and down, lights onoff, tune the sensitivity of the motion detection, and also intruder alarm function, all in all we feel that this is an excellent security camera, and very good value for money.

This is a great piece of kit. It connected effortlessly to my WiFi, the app works well and it’s fast and responsive with the camera controls. It has everything you need at a bathroom price, lights, siren, speaker, infra red, pan and tilt. I highly recommend this camera, it’s very good.
The one main negative , though, is that the paper template for the wall fixings was not accurate in my kit. This resulted in only being able to fix using two screws and the unit sits unevenly on the wall. I can’t remedy this myself, easily, though. I recommend using the actual wall mount to mark the screw positions, not the template.
The unit works perfectly, though. It looks good and I particularly like the LED lights which can be set to automatically come on at dusk and stay on until sunrise.
I recommend this unit and I am tempted to purchase one or two more, myself.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersOk this camera is good for the price I paid 26, very easy to set up also to mount quality of product seems decent, the picture is advertised as 2k but I’m not sure about that to be honest. The motion detection is far to sensitive even on the lowest setting especially at night time. Night vision is good also colour is good at night but I prefer having it on Infrared mode as it’s clearer. I don’t like that if you add another user to your camera they can’t have full control to look back on the SD card recordings. Also The sound quality isn’t brilliant, I will try updating more when I’ve had it for longer. I’ve purchased two so far so they must be okish for what I paid. Thanks for reading my honest review.

The cameras were easy to fit, as everything is plug and play. The set up was simple to do too. As others have mentioned, the original plug in power lead is now moulded into the camera for weather protection. In my case I had no problem with installation, as I have an air gap above my facia boards. However some people may have to drill a large hole to pass the full size USB plug through. Maybe the people at Galayou would consider a USB C on future models? The cameras seem to be working fine and alert me to people’s presence. But even on the least sensitive setting, its still picking up flying insects during the night. Early days, so maybe this can be tweaked further?
The night vision appears to be great even in colour. However, because of the lamp on the camera illuminating I felt that this maybe attracting the flying insects, so have put into Infrared black and white for now.
For the money, I really cannot fault them.

Picture quality is good, sound quality good, and setup couldn’t be easier.

It uses the Wansview Cloud app which is good as it links in with other brands of camera, so I dont end up with diff types of app. Wansview also allows the RTSP protocol to be enabled, meaning you can stream the footage across your network and use a program on a device such as iSpy to capture the footage and store videos of motion ect without having to use any extra subscription fee’s for the cloud storage. I previously had to return a similar camera due to not having RTSP support, but i’m glad to see this does support it.

Also features both an Infrared light and a normal light, IR is usually enabled with night vision and when motion is detected, it switches the normal light on and changes to colour vision. You can also change the settings relating to the light(s) within the app settings.

Overall I’d give it a 5/5 as I can’t really fault anything. Only thing that would make it better is an included RJ45 ethernet port. But the WiFi alone is still alright.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersUnfortunately, there are a couple of problems with the camera.

Can I say from the offset that the camera is of exceptional quality both in build and performance for the price.

Firstly, it is still being advertised with a removable USB lead, the latest model that you’ll receive, does not.
I suspect that this is due to problems with water ingress with the actual connection to the camera. They have now upgraded with an integrated hard wired hook up.
This means that you are going to have to drill a normal USB sized hole through your wall if you intend to plug it in indoors. Not good.

Secondly, I have a waterproof outside wall socket which would be fine and dandy if the supplied plug wasn’t the size of an elephant. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a waterproof outlet if you can’t close it.
I had to buy a’normal’ sized USB plug to replace it.

You would think that as this is an outside camera they would have taken into consideration the size of wall sockets & provided a suitable sized plug.

  36. Scott Ki says:

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersIf you are planning to drill a hole in the wall for the cable to go inside the building, you need about an 18mm hole. This is to accommodate the USB plug, it’s quite chunky. I would prefer to cut the USB plug off and rejoin it inside after install. It’s not ideal but it seems ridiculous to have to drill such a large hole in brickwork. The lead is quite generous in length.

This is WiFi connection only, there is no option for using network cable like Cat 5. The camera seems well made. There are 4 very bright LEDs that can be used at night time to light a driveway for instance. These can be controlled via the app but I found the app a bit hit and miss, with the lights on all the time. I was unable to turn them off. Perhaps a reset needs to be performed, I did try force closing the app but the lights were still on after a restart.

Picture quality is good but at times I found rather a long latency, a wave of my hand at the camera sometimes took 10 seconds or so to show on the app. my router was not close by. this is where a wired connection is useful. A restart improved this to about 1.5 seconds.

Setting up the camera requires showing the screen of your phone to the camera so that the QR code can be viewed. This is fine when sitting at the table indoors but consider a factory reset if it’s needed will require getting up the ladder to access the camera again. Perhaps consider siting it near to an upstairs window to save the hassle in future.

Although the camera seems well made, it feels like the software is the weak link. I’m returning this as it does not meet my needs.

This camera uses the Wansview Cloud App. A 5 Volt 1 Amp USB adaptor was supplied.

Although I have so far only had this camera for two weeks, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy and straightforward it was to install. Especially also as far as Wi-Fi connection goes. The picture quality all round is excellent, and so far my only gripe would be that the pan and tilt are very fast. So it is a bit difficult to position it exactly as one wants, however there is a feature for saving a position (or more than one) so once you have it sighted the way you want it, it is easy to return to that exact position. And as for weatherproof, time will tell. It would at least have to survive through more than one very strong rainfall, and also freezing temperatures, before I could comment on that.

Just wanted to write a quick review.
There are loads of cameras out there, all at different price ranges with all sorts of features.
I was looking for a camera that could do what I wanted at a reasonable price.
    Bingo with these cameras.
Easy to context to my wi fi, easy to fix to property; only exception was the power cable not being long enough, but a quick search and new longer cable bought
The camera, has a number of features which are excellent for the price.
Great clear picture, camera movement up and down, side to side; has lights and speach enabled, a siren, motion detection.
This is a camera that has so far been grand, and well worth the money.
Give it a go and see if it’s for you, you can’t go really wrong as it’s cheaper than dominoes pizza when you haven’t a voucher.

I purchased this to replace an old camera that packed up ! Simple to set up and link to app had it working in minutes ! Installed on front house wall all screws were supplied and plugs bracket up and attached this is cabled usb I purchased a usb cable extension lead as needed extra length so bear that in mind was only few extra ! Thing I love about camera is it’s moveable so I can sit and pan and zoom it sets alerts you can increase or decrease sensitivity even map an area so blank off say a busy road or path to stop false alerts! Picture quality is great it has a light you can switch on off from app! Two way microphone all in all it’s absolutely amazing for price I’m about to purchase a second one I’m that impressed

Amazing quality especially for such a bargain price. So much so i bought a 2nd
Picture clear, night vision great but even better if u use the smart light. Crystal!
App is extremely easy to use.
I bought sd cards for mine so can view fuller recordings & save if needed. The motion detection recordings was too short for what I needed.
I’m even more impressed with the customer service tbh. I had subscribed to cloud storage at first hoping to get the fuller recordings but wasn’t enough for me. When i reached out they responded so quickly & was there to advise me n guide me. Saving me the subscription cost by advising me to get an sd card to suit my needs. Early set up queries etc all handled promptly. Feel very secure now thanks to their team.
    Highly recommended

Fab camera but doesn’t connect to my eero. So I’ve had to replace it.

Easy to set up and the App is good (though I have better). Quality of image and sound in par with the cost of the camera – when all said and done the cameras main role is to be obtrusive! Motion detectors very good and traffic down or lane gets well lit up!

Easy set up and app downloaded , was up and running in 10 mins .
The app gives you notifications on your phone when motion is detected in your picture. All in all a good easy camera to use.

The most what i like about it i can turn all around to what ever angle i need and change position when i need it. The biggest problem with it was to drill a hole so usb wire can get thru the wall because there is no other option how to keep it plugged in. The cloud is expensive as well to pay. But with the camera im really satisfied. On cheapest plan i can use up to 3 cameras, thats how many i have in total.

I couldn’t get it to connect to my wifi initially following instructions, then I followed alternative instructions to connect via the qr code on the camera, and it worked straight away. It takes good pictures, and as you can see its captured my little hedgehog friend brilliantly.
I use the motion detection feature and it alerts my phone, it’s a bit sensitive as it captures moths and rain too, but I think you can change the sensitivity. The notifications can be silenced. I have it plugged into an outside socket. It take sd cards, but I’m using cloud free for a month and after that it’s 5.99 a month, so I’ll probably put the sd card in it. Overall very pleased.
Also forgot to mention, I emailed customer support when I couldn’t connect, and they were very quick to reply the very next day, but I had already sorted it myself by then, so ended up not needing support.
I’ve given it 4 stars because it wouldn’t connect straight away.

This camera is very easy to set up. I was very surprised at how versitile it is for the price.

Once I had connected it to my WiFi I gave it a test run before finding the perfect place to fit it. The picture quality is very clear, even with the digital zoom (two finger on screen pinch). Using the app to set up all the modes and alerts was simple. I did have a problem downloading clips to my phone but I found the android app permission settings needed a tweak and everything worked fine after that.

Picture and video quality is really good daytime or night time. I’ve set the light to come on if there’s motion detected at night, which in turn gives full colour playback of the motion clip. I’ve read quite a few reviews saying that the slightest movement of a leaf or insect flying by will set the motion detection off but I have set the setting to it’s lowest and have had no such problem so far, although it is still early days.

All in all I am extremely happy with this camera, so much so that I have ordered another one for the back garden.

I purchased 2 cameras to monitor the rear of my house. The coverage of view is fantastic. The camera is very user friendly. I found it very easy to set up. The picture quality is very clear. Will certainly recommend to family and friends. I will be purchasing 2 more myself. The customer service recieved from Levy was very good. He responded to all my queries with good instructions. However, the issue was my fault as I’d forgotten to switch on the power for one of the cameras . An altogether very good experience.

I dont normally bother with reviews but I feel on this occasion its deserved…had the camera for 18 months, after a few months there was a problem and I contacted Wansview…two days later I received a replacement camera, yesterday I had to message Wansview as camera would not let me look at recorded clips..less then 24 hours I received a reply, not cameras fault but sim card gave up, popped in new sim and away we went again…thank you Wansview for brilliant camera and service..and it really is a good camera..

This camera is excellent the image quality is amazing day or night.
The movement really smooth but i would recommend a software update so you could get it to move round to separate areas automatically.
It says Alexa compatible but i am unable to get it to work or even find an app for my fire tablet, Also you have to pay the cloud regards storage on that which i have not looked into the cost of this and have not chose to, i may in the future and still looking to replace all of my old wired cameras with just two of these.

Camera seems very well made so far software is very easy to use although it does shout at you when setting it up so be aware about that for the price you pay you honestly can grumble a longer lead would be beneficial but again for the price you pay purchasing a longer lead still isn’t something to grumble at haven’t had chance to pull any videos off yet but you do get a choice between sd or 2k video obviously dependent on internet speed etc

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFor the money it’s a good bit of kit. The upsides are, picture quality, easy to setup and use and the big one, you can have a few people using the camera without paying any subscription. Now for the downside, the motion detection is shocking. It will detect everything from a large lorry passing down to fluff from your belly button!! If you turn down the sensitivity it won’t detect too much. The way I have compromised is to set it to detect my security light come on. So when at home I leave motion detection off, when I go away for a weekend I turn it on and put up with the over sensitive alerts. It’s a shame as I suspect that a bit of better coding could solve the issue. For the money it’s great and I was very impressed with what you can get for the money.

This is the third camera that I have bought. My first is in my second home (which is in Europe), and we use it from time to time to have a check that everything is good there. Picture quality is excellent and I liked that we could set up “views” and quickly switch between them. I have also bought the cloud storage option – very useful as you can look back when you get an alert. (In fact, I used it when we had a workman in the house and recorded everything including the audio – very useful if the job isnt as expected when I go back to the house!)

This purchase was to be used as an outsite PTZ camera for the same house, but ended up on the wall of my dads workshop here in the UK. Picture quality is excellent (day and night – especially in that “twighlight” zone that fools many cameras). Again, I have set up some “views” for my dad so that he can quickly look at different places without having to use the app (difficult as he has arthuritis, so a single click of a “view” is perfect).

Setup was a breeze (as was the interior one).

I need to buy another one now, but it is certainly worth it. Can’t recommend it enough.

The camera was nice and easy to setup and great value for money. Add a good size memory card you get 24 hour recording with no extra cost (a part from the cost of the memory card). It was easy to mount and the app is great, giving you quick access to the camera, pre saved viewing angles or manually control the area you want to look at. Great nighttime and daytime quality video. My only slight negative is the sensitivity of the alert setting (alerts when motion is detected), in night mode its so sensitive, even on the lowest sensitivity it will alert on rain, or the light given off by a passing car, even if the car isn’t in view itself. Apart from this small negative, and one that could be corrected by a future firmware update I’m sure, I am extremely happy with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDon’t bother buying one of these unless you want to use it within 10′ of the router. Set it up twice, put it in position and it couldn’t pick up the wi fi. Contacted the company which took 3 days to get a response, and they told me that the camera was out of range, the same as a mobile phone, which had a full Wi-Fi signal.
Thought I’d use it closer to the Wi-Fi and tried setting it up again, and now it won’t connect. Total waste of money so I binned it. Get a quality brand as with this you get what you pay for.
Oh and they want you to pay 5 a month for their cloud.
    Update.
Although I couldn’t get the camara to work, lost my rag and binned the camara, the company contacted me, and after some emails backwards and forwards, it turns out my Wi-Fi was probably not compatible with the camara.
Evan though I no longer had the camara to send back, they still gave me a full refund which they didn’t have to do. Great service in the end.

    Initially I was very impressed.
The main complaint was that the USB cable supplied was very short- considering it must come through external wall to a plug socket. Had to run an extension lead just for this camera.
Like I said, initially all was good.
I’d bought an SD card at the same time as this purchase.
Then by chance, when I wanted to look back on something, I find it has stopped recording to SD card.
CS were very quick to reply, and suggested various things to do including formatting the card.
I did everything, uninstalled app, switched on and off etc, and it worked again.
Then it stopped recording again,I went thru all the steps, tried reinstalling the app, but there was a problem their end with an update.
Eventually got it working again, but I didn’t notice the SD card settings had reset, which meant it wasn’t now over writing old recordings – it just stopped recording. So I made the setting to overwrite.
Then again this week, no recordings. Plenty of space on SD card. What’s the problem now??
I reset the camera, no joy.
I unplugged the camera and plugged back in. Starts recording again.
    Fantastic!!
But I don’t have time to keep checking if the things recording!
    What if I’m away?
And when I go to replay recordings, it can take up to a minute- watching spinning circle – waiting for a particular recording to come up!
And when it does come up, you can’t fast forward!
I am used to my wired CCTV, and thinking this just isn’t as good!
    I wouldn’t recommend it!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGot this to use to keep an eye on wildlife in the garden. The idea being, one remembered position would be used in the daytime to view bird-feeder, the second would keep an eye on nocturnal creatures snaffling apples from around the apple tree. The issue I have is that the remembered position function doesn’t work, I click on the position and get a message saying “success” but the camera remains where it is. I’ve tried it on 2 cameras, and it’s the same issue so presume the App is at fault.
Another issue I had was that I was getting too many motion alerts, so I disabled them in the app, but I was still getting them! Had to stop notifications at App level on my phone to stop constant beeping.
Picture wise it’s very good though, and the speaker is nice and loud if you wanted to use it as an intercom or similar. I can live with the manual moving of the camera, but the saved positions would have been a lot nicer.
